as someone whose always been a fan of oc fan fiction, like MGIME and MGIT, I am praying for more OC-based vampire chronicles fan fiction to spawn after the success of the tv show... you have no idea... pls its my favourite fic genre for when i want something enjoyable to read
im literally incapable of setting small goals so i get sad when i dont accomplish them. theyre insane shit like "fully craft 12 songs as a self-taught musician playing every single instrument and recording entirely by yourself AND do it all within the span of three weeks." like BRO??? did I know I can just make one or two. its ok. hold my hands....
Took a lil break from the asks in order to cook some ✨SMILING CRITTERS FAMILY TIME✨ with @rexmk0153universe-blog because why the hell not??? I might have to divide it in two parts though-
(1/2)
DogDay
DogDay's journey begins when a stork delivers him to the wrong family of wolves, leading him to be adopted by Big Bad's parents. However, his presence triggers jealousy in Big Bad, his adopted older brother, who resents the attention their parents give to the newcomer.
Despite the pack's focus on abilities related to weather phenomena, Dogday stands out due to his unique qualities and talents. As he grows older, he feels a deep longing for a sense of purpose and identity beyond his wolf upbringing. Seeking to find his true self, he leaves the pack and ventures to Jolly Valley, where he encounters the Smiling Critters and forms close bonds with them. Over time, Dogday becomes a leader among the Smiling Critters, embodying their values of friendship and unity.
Big Bad, driven by pride and a mix of emotions, followed Dogday to Jolly Valley, intending to both antagonize his little brother and secretly monitor his progress. Despite his outward bravado and mischievous nature causing ocassional trouble, Dogday remains welcoming towards his older brother, except when his antics go too far. Hus unwavering cheerfulness and open-heartedness serve as a beacon of hope for both the Smiling Critters and his troubled older brother.
BONUS: "Big Bad" is actually a nickname! His actual name is "WindWolf"... Dogday usually calls him "Big Bro", but the rest of the critters "misheard" it and began calling him "Big Bad", much to his dismay.
CatNap
Catnap shares a unique connection with a deity known as SandMan, who reigns over the Dream Realm, a distinct reality separate from the main universe. The origin of Catnap traces back to a moment when Dogday, as a young member of his pack, made a wish upon a shooting star for a friend, and this wish brought Catnap into existence.
SandMan took particular interest in Catnap due to his remarkable qualities, leading to a special father-son dynamic between them, despite Catnap starting off as just another creation of SandMan like many others.
Catnap, however, felt a strong pull to leave the Dream Realm in search of Dogday, the source of his creation. Eventually, the feline succeeded in finding Dogday and chose to remain by his side, along with the other Smiling Critters. Despite Catnap's origin in the Dream Realm and his connection to SandMan, his loyalty lies with Dogday and their companions, forging a lasting bond beyond the confines of the Dream Realm.
Kickin'Chicken
Kickin'Chicken comes from a predominantly female family, consisting of his mother, sisters, and himself as the middle sibling. His father, known as "Rockin'Rooster," is a famous singer, an example that Kickin' aspires to follow. However, Rockin'Rooster's focus on his career leaves little time for family, causing conflicting emotions for Kickin'. Despite his admiration for his father's success, Kickin' yearns for more attention and connection within the family... Yet he hides it under his "cool and tough guy" persona.
However, among his family members Kickin' has a strong bond with his older sister, Pecky. She is level-headed compared to Kickin', but shares his adventurous spirit and openness to new experiences and people.
BONUS: Kickin's family is quite fond of Bubba Bubbaphant, given how he was Kickin's first friend and all of them consider him another member of the family.
CraftyCorn
Craftycorn, born in a magical kingdom governed by four elemental monarchs (Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts and Spades) was raised as the daughter of the Queen of Spades, destined to become a warrior. However, Crafty harbored a distaste for violence, finding joy in art and nature instead.
Despite her mother's attempts to grant her freedom to choose her path within the elemental realms, the other rulers disapproved, doubting Crafty's suitability for the throne. When Craftycorn was to receive her royal Merry Charm, symbolizing her assigned role, she unexpectedly manifested her own charm—the flower. Fearing disappointment from her mother and influenced by the other monarchs, Craftycorn fled her home, unaware of the devastation her departure caused her mother.
Their relationship is complicated, marked by love and care, yet tinged with Crafty's mixed feelings towards her mother.
LoolaLamb
Loola is a special sheep born into a flock known as the "Sleep Sheep" or "Slumbering Guardians." These sheep have the unique role of wandering through villages, signaling to people that it's time to sleep and seek safety from the dangers of the night. Once their task is complete, SandMan, a mystical entity who the sheep "worship" due to its previous helps toward the flock, can traverse their realm to ensure everyone enjoys peaceful dreams and restful sleep.
She's the daughter of the flock's leader, tasked with protecting the sheep, particularly during the day when they're less vigilant due to needing rest after their nightly duties. However, Loola lost her mother at a young age and was raised by her father, who prepared her to take on a similar role in the future.
Despite her upbringing, Loola yearns for adventure and exploration beyond the confines of her flock's duties. After much persuasion, her father allows her to leave, although they maintain communication through letters.
The lamb often travels alone, but occasionally spends time with the Smiling Critters in Jolly Valley for extended periods of time.
I think, at this point, you all know my personal favorite Owl House headcanon. I shouldn't have to say what it is, you already know what I'm about to discuss. However, I am going to describe why Hunter loves what he does and maybe you'll adopt it as your headcanon too...
It all started when Hunter ran away from the Emperor's Coven Post-Hollow Mind. He'd been living in the paranormatorim in Hexside since, building a nest and living on snacks. Gus, having seen the former Golden Guard living so dreadfully, offers him his lunch, which, among other things, included a sandwich.
Hunter then helps Gus escape Adrian and the scouts, citing his reason for doing so being because Gus offered him food. When the illusionist questions him on it, Hunter says "It was a really good sandwich."
As many have pointed out, Hunter's diet in the castle was probably miserable. On top of it, he was clearly malnourished, as several characters (Luz, Eda, Amity, Edric, Emira, Matt) have said. So it is assumed he didn't have a great time food wise, which is why he looked so happy eating that loaf of bread in King's Tide...
Yeah, look at him go. Happily chewing on some bread and being pleased as punch over it. And this is where my HC came to be, Hunter and Gus bonding over a simple offering of food. A kindness Hunter had probably never known until then, combined with something that probably saved his life or at the very least made him feel much better. I feel like that sole interaction weighed on Hunter's heart, and it made him fall in love with sandwiches.
After all, without Gus' sandwich, he would have never been able to sit down and actually talk about how he was feeling about Belos. He wouldn't have bonded with Gus and helped the younger witch when he needed it most. Hunter developed an intensely strong bond with Gus, a friendship and brotherhood forged in love, trust, and sandwiches.
That said, I assume when they were trapped in the human realm, Hunter started looking into various types of sandwiches (with the help of Camila and Luz, of course.) Figuring out what the best meats and cheeses were. What kinds of vegetables go well with them (information he totally shared with Willow, obviously.) The best kinds of bread and condiments to compliment the other ingredients. I assume he learned about what foods he liked and disliked (boy loves himself some olives, btw.)
Of course, this eventually lead to the ultimate creation. His pride and joy: The True Hero Sub. The culmination of his knowledge and understanding of foods that allowed him to create divinity between two slices of bread (well, shoved into a loaf of french bread, but hey, who's counting?)
Of course, this is a BIG sandwich. I know, that's the one I made myself. It is about 2' long (60.69cm for you non-Americans.) It is not something you can eat by yourself, and Hunter would never want to eat it alone.
Because of this sandwich, Hunter came up with his philosophy on food; "Food tastes best when shared with others." So I assume the first time he made one, he shared it with the others. Definitely Gus, his sandwich brethren, and possibly Willow, someone Hunter would be thrilled to share his accomplishments with.
And this probably continued as he became an adult. I bet anything that Hunter has a series of sandwiches he brings with him to work. He maybe even wrote down his own cookbook of sorts for them. You KNOW anytime he had a new idea, Gus was the first person he told about it. He probably even made a book to make sandwiches to represent Cosmic Frontier characters (you know Gus AND Camila happily assisted him.)
And that's my headcanon. A boy, his best friend, and a type of food that brought them closer and possibly even saved a life in more than one sense. In this house, we respect the Sandwich Bros.
(Tagging @childlikegoblinqueen, @unniebeans, and @probablyhuntersmom, who I assume have also had this headcanon infect their brain for some time. *evil laugh*)
like creating a huge minecraft map, whats the point in doing it if you know your the only one who is able to appreciate it because you can’t show it to anyone who would
Again bro I think this is something you need to work on I literally played solo Minecraft as a child and built huge structures just for the joy of creating. I never played with anyone or even showed them to anyone. I just did it because it was fun and cool and at the end I was proud of myself for what I had made. Find joy in creation please 🙏
[The ones who manage to unearth their version of Luzhen clutch the newborn Stone Monkey tight, sobbing at the joy of finding another of their kind.]
That’s those that do have them. Their universes aren’t identical, so there is likely some that don’t have a Luzhen because their moms mate did perish in the flood: like, say, TMKATI-verse.
Mostly because I was looking through the old posts and one way for Luzhen to be born was somebody locking Peach into the furnace, but not turning it on and that counting to start the process. Obvs different rules now, but variety, you know?
That and the rest of the SWKs can quickly learn why Stone Eggs are a last resort kind of deal, with Peach nearly croaking during birth. Like, ‘Damn, there is a way for us to die, even with all these immortalities’, you know?
Also: [Cherry, holding his little bro up like Simba: PEEEEEBBBBBLLLEEEE!!!!!!!]
If none of the modern kids do the Circle of Life, I will be disappointed.
Recall that back then also were going by the thought of Nuwa having a hand in SWKs creation? Well, thought here: she’s responsible for Reborn-Luzhens creation. Don’t know, just had the idea of a small undefined soul causing some havoc near Nuwa – because it wants a family, it was promised a family, why won’t it be getting its family anymore – reminding her of the Havoc and she ends up making a little clay monkey for the soul to inhabit.
Kinda like TMKATI, just less pregnancy and more clay.
Then she drops the little troublemaker off at Smokey’s, “He really wanted to be born” she shrugs and peace’s out.
Smokey, who was doing his best to suppress his grief at the apparent fact that his dad had died in his world, just now has waterfall levels of water coming out of his eyes. His little brother harassed a god to ensure his own birth! Truly, they are related.
[The knowledge that he might be considered divine royalty under Celestial Law would be a bit much for him right now.]
Honest question: what do the rest of the SWKs think about that? Like, that has to knock the wind out them, for sure.
referencing the Wukongverse learning about Stone Matriarch au + our older post about Nuwa and Houtu making Luzhen on accident + Furnace - Fire = Stone Egg.
I should really do an updated TMKATI timeline post once my exams are over. Currently I'm thinking of altering it so that the twin boys of the Nodelets - Jidu and Luohou - are the ones created from one of the parents getting trapped in the Furance without the fire, likely from LBD stealing the Furance/capturing one of them. I'm thinking Luzhen (like possibly Canon!MK) would be created by Nuwa since TMKATI!MK got found by the Shadowpeach parents as a "broken" egg and they accidentally became his parents.
The Stone Matriarch au likely doesn't apply to many of the other universes since it is in of itself an Au. If any of the SWKs find an egg at the bottom of FFM/Mount Huaguo, it's like a million to one chance.
The one that does is super hyped/sad though. Not sure which.
-
I love the idea of Reborn!/Smokey's Luzhen getting created because Nuwa encountered a little chaotic soul wanting to be born + realising that she shoudl probably give him to someone with a similar origins.
And let's just say; what if... Reborn!Luzhen's soul was created as a reincarnation?
The Reincarnation of a *certain* Primordial Demon who has just died? And may need to be raised in tandem with it's Qi Energy counterpart in order to grow into a (mostly) balanced monkey?
>:3

As for the method in which: (Stone Monkey + Furnace) - Samadhi Fire (or they waiting too long) = Egg?
Most likely candidate would be Netflix!SWK/Cherry.
Because he's the exception of Monkey Kings who haven't been "furanced" yet.
I'm just imagining the next Wukongverse he pulls up looking SUPER rough.
Starfruit: "Wow, you look like Hell."
Cherry, covered in burn scars: "Don't remind me. Ran into some jerks who stole a bunch of alchemy supplies from the immortals."
Sugar: "Calabash?"
Cherry: "No thanks I'm not hungry. Well anyway this guy working for Heaven thinks I'm too dangerous to be walking around, and he tosses me into this big pot. I run out of air and somebody turns the heat on! For like a month!"
All the SWKs who Know: *winces of sympathy*
Ace, jokingly nostalgic: "Ah the Trigram Furnace. Usually happens before the Buddha's hand though."
Cherry: "Yeah don't remind me. Luckily my new friends got me out and woke me up."
Dawn, suddenly pauses: "Wait. Woke you up?"
Cherry: "Yeah I sorta passed out just before the worst of the fire started."
Dawn, gettign concerned: "And were you asleep for that whole time?"
Cherry, getting nervous: "Yeah??"
Dawn: (*shares a look with the other monkeys. A bunch nod their heads with nervous expressions*)
Cherry: "Why, what's the problem? Did you guys not fall asleep?!"
Smokey: "How could we? The flames of Samadhi nearly turned me to ash. Only way me or any of us survived it is because the Wind corner has a higher pressure."
Cherry: "There was corners in there?"
Dasheng: "You didn't train in alchemy under Subuhti as we did. The Trigram Furnace is made up of eight corners according to the major celestial elements, with each corner having the properties of that element. The Wind element feeds but also suffocates fire, so even True Fire weakens there."
Cherry: "Oh. I think I survived cus I just went into a dissociative state and became a statue."
Dawn, now convinced: "YOU PETRIFIED!?"
Cherry, getting scared: "NOW I AM!?"
Cue the monkeys who know about how Stone Eggs are formed dragging Cherry to see Guanyin. The bodhisattva explains that; yes, Cherry is carrying a mini-him all wrapped in a stone casing, all because the lack of air in the Furnace caused his body to believe that it was time to bud off into a new monkey. Cherry faints. Joyfully.
Cherry, rambling excitedly: "A mini-king! No! A Prince! NO! A PEBBLE! And he'll be *just* like me!"
Dawn, stressing: "Aren't you worried that it could kill you!?"
Cherry, brushing him off: "Pff! I'm immortal. Can't die. If I was really worried - I'd just grab a few more pills or peaches."
Dawn: (*grabs Cherry by the collar of his armor and pulls him closer. eyes glowing red*)
Dawn: "I have over twenty times the amount of immortality you have, and I almost f*cking died. The only reason I'm here today is because Guanyin, the goddess of safe birth, was at my side. And because my Macaque would have dragged me back from Diyu if I had. So. Be. Worried."
Cherry, nods fearfully: "Y-yes sir."
But the young Monkey King is still super jazzed about his upcoming mini-him. Even if he's now looking up other ways him can become immortal so that he can meet his little pebble and give him the hugs he himself was denied as a baby.

Lastly this part might need to be it's own post due to the amount of thoughts I has.
[The knowledge that he might be considered divine royalty under Celestial Law would be a bit much for him right now.]
Honest question: what do the rest of the SWKs think about that? Like, that has to knock the wind out them, for sure.
y’all can I be real with y’all for a minute (or atleasts, people who are still here)
when I joined tumblr, a LOT of people started interacting with me and my art, which was mainly OSC (object show community). But soon my OSC hyperfixation started being replaced by other ones and school and me wanting to focus on ocs and eeehhh. It feels like ever since I slowed down with the OSC stuff my moots who once interacted with me everyday have kinda just…. Left me alone.? I understand this might have something To do with me deleting a lot of my messages (which was mainly out of fear of my parents) and it’s kinda started taking a toll on me ig? Like I had abandonment issues before this but this?!!?!?! Damn. I know it’s probably none of y’all’s fault (it’s probably mainly mine). But uh even before that…. Any post that wasn’t OSC realstes never EVER got as much attention. It kinda contributed to me feeling inadequate ig? Like it I didn’t post these personified objects my friends won’t care anymore? But now I’ve put a focus on my personal lil guys (Wild! And that unnamed comic featuring Christian(ish?) mythology) and I was really excited thinking all my bestest buddies would be SUPER hyped about them. But eh..? None of y’all are really here anymore. Tbh. I miss you guys :(((( I miss y’all so much. I know life and school has been rough for a lot of you :( I’ve been distant. I’ve only really kept Fizzy close (love you lil bro/p) I really hope I didn’t hurt any of you :( life is hard guys. But I’m going to try my best over the summer to bring you guys outstanding content that will make you guys smile. Even if it’s not about objects. I hope y’all don’t mind the tags here

I haven’t forgotten about you. I hope summer will give me more time and energy to interact with y’all (if u want) I will bring you many goodies. Even if it’s not in the form of a colorful juice box. I’ve got TWO✌️💕2️⃣‼️ webcomics planned that ARENT unbalanced breakfast (that entirely depends on me and Fizzy’s will to work on it together but we both have other things we wanna make) I can only hope everyone is along for the ride. So uh… yeah. Just wanted to get this off my chest. How y’all been doing lately :)! If not well I hope it gets better, honestly. I’d like to think my purpose is to bring others joy through my creations, I hope that’s what I can provide for you all! And others who are new :). Love y’all/p. Have a good night or day :D!
Luo Binghe is the protagonist of Proud Immortal Demon Way. Shen Qingqiu is the protagonist of Scum Villain. However, the one the books revolve around is kind of Shang Qinghua.
Shang Qinghua wrote a book he wasn’t entirely proud of to make ends meet. He changed from the path he really wanted to write for reader retention. He certainly has potential to be better, but he has bills to pay. There’s so much he wants to do but just can’t. Then, he dies and is sent to his own novel. A world based on his original ideas, not the ones he was forced to write.
It’s an authors dream, really. Watch the world you created be fleshed out before your very eyes. Talk to the characters you created. Watch the scenery you conjured yourself. This whole place is built on what you created, your own vision.
It’s very important that it’s also based on his original ideas, not what he actually wrote. Also important is that after a month of being repeatedly given the option to leave the world of Proud Immortal Demon Way, Shang Qinghua can’t bear to return home. He’s made a home in his own writing. He even decides at the end to be an author again in this world. It’s about the power and joy of creation, and doing what you truly want to without worrying too much about outside influence.
I also think it’s very important Peerless Cucumber of all readers was the one who was transmigrated. When we see him talk in the forums, he likes a lot of aspects like Luo Binghe and the monsters, and the fact he likes part of it is why he’s the biggest critic. It could be great, but isn’t.
What we see him criticize are the very things Airplane-bro himself didn’t like writing: the “low-IQ villains”. Airplane wanted to write complex villains, but his fans didn’t want to read that. Cucumber wanted to read complex villains, but that was what Airplane had to offer.
If the protagonist of Scum Villain were to be someone who blindly loved it thoroughly hated PIDW, I think it would be a significantly worse story. It’s because on some level Shen Qingqiu shared Shang Qinghua’s ideas of what Proud Immortal Demon Way should be that he’s the best reader that could possibly have transmigrated.
People can unquestionably be deeply weird about food (see: recipe bloggers who are more about conspicuous consumption than actually good recipes; people who leave comments on recipe blogs about how fruit or god forbid carrots are unhealthy because - checks notes - they contain too much sugar; tr*dwives trying to politicize photos of bread; Silicon Valley guys selling fad diets). I find this as annoying as anyone (v possibly I find it more annoying, as a person who likes to cook!). However I also find it annoying when people act as if the act of cooking elaborate (or even not-so-elaborate) meals is in and of itself something weird and snobbish. Cooking is like the single most accessible hobby bro. The end product is food and you kinda need that to live, and also it’s often cheaper to make things yourself assuming you can afford the time cost. “God save us from people who make pasta sauce from scratch, why would anyone do this” well you see, sometimes people have hobbies. Sometimes people enjoy the process of creation as much as the thing itself, even. Sue me for finding joy in the stuff I’m compelled to put in my face to stay alive I guess
The Timeless Appeal of Mario: Gaming’s Most Beloved Hero
In the pantheon of video game characters, one hero stands out for his enduring appeal and universal recognition: Mario. The plucky plumber from the Mushroom Kingdom has become an emblem of the gaming industry, transcending cultural and generational boundaries. But what is it about Mario that has cemented his place in the hearts of millions?
Mario’s journey began in 1981 with the arcade game “Donkey Kong,” where he was introduced as “Jumpman.” However, it was the release of “Super Mario Bros.” in 1985 that catapulted him to stardom. This game, with its innovative platforming gameplay, set the standard for future titles and established Mario as Nintendo’s flagship character12.
The genius behind Mario’s creation, Shigeru Miyamoto, crafted a character that was both everyman and hero. Mario’s design was influenced by the graphical limitations of the time, resulting in his iconic overalls, cap, and mustache. These features not only made him distinctive but also relatable2. Mario was a character that didn’t possess superhuman abilities; he was an ordinary individual thrown into extraordinary circumstances.
Over the years, Mario has starred in over 200 games, ranging from platformers to racing, party, and even educational titles. Each new release is a testament to Mario’s versatility and the creativity of Nintendo’s developers. The franchise has explored various genres, ensuring that Mario remains relevant in an ever-evolving industry1.
One of Mario’s most significant contributions to gaming is the sense of wonder and adventure he embodies. The Mushroom Kingdom is a world brimming with vibrant colors, imaginative creatures, and inventive landscapes. Each game is an invitation to explore and discover, appealing to our innate curiosity and desire for adventure.
Moreover, Mario games are renowned for their accessibility. They offer a balance of challenge and fun that caters to both novice and experienced gamers. This inclusivity is a core reason why Mario continues to be a gateway for many into the world of video games.
Mario’s impact extends beyond gameplay; he has become a cultural icon. From merchandise and television shows to a Hollywood movie, Mario’s influence is evident across various media. He’s a character that represents the joy and nostalgia of gaming for people around the world.
As we look to the future, Mario shows no signs of slowing down. With each new console generation, Mario leaps into our living rooms with the same enthusiasm he had over three decades ago. His games continue to push the boundaries of creativity, bringing innovative experiences to gamers of all ages.
In conclusion, Mario’s timeless appeal lies in his ability to adapt, his embodiment of adventure, and his universal accessibility. He’s not just a character; he’s a symbol of the joy that video games can bring into our lives. As long as there are games to be played, Mario will undoubtedly be there, jumping on Goombas, saving Princess Peach, and reminding us of the magic of play.
I hope you enjoyed this tribute to gaming’s most beloved hero, Mario. His legacy is a testament to the power of imagination and the enduring appeal of good, fun gameplay. What’s your favorite Mario memory? Share it in the comments below!
Hello fellow Sampo enthusiast. What are your thoughts on the concept of love repeatedly being brought up in relation to Sampo (his Eidolons, his Ult etc.). Do you think love (of any kind) could be something he values? Do you think this is a masked fools thing or mainly a Sampo thing?
What are your thoughts on the concept of love repeatedly being brought up in relation to Sampo (his Eidolons, his Ult etc.).
I think love is a very important concept to the character of Sampo. The origin of his name is the Sampo, a sorta wish-granting device created by Ilmarinen for Louhi in his attempt to woo one of her daughters, the Maiden of Pohjola. So I see Sampo as having been made for and because of love. The story gets kinda complex, with Ilmarinen’s first wife getting killed, and Louhi refuses to give him another daughter, which leads to Ilmarinen and his bros wanting to take the Sampo back, and the ensuing conflict breaks it.
Sidetracking a bit, but it’s interesting how his creation fits his design:
- Elements of death, like the skull and spine that is around his body, fits how the Sampo was a gift to Louhi, a being that is most likely the regional variation/alter-ego/other name for Loviatar, the daughter of the god of death and queen of the underworld.
Do you think love (of any kind) could be something he values?
I think so with his design focusing around it. During his 4th wall break, in JP he refers to the player with “親愛なる” which is a pretty strong word, it’s both “dear”, “dearest”, and “beloved”. It’s usually used when writing a letter to a friend or lover you deeply care about. In a way, Sampo seems to have taken or already had a liking to us.
Do you think this is a masked fools thing or mainly a Sampo thing?
Idk, kinda both maybe? The Masked Fools are kinda hedonistic, they pursue joy seeing it as the basic right that intelligent beings have and are very radical in their pursuit of what they see as bringing joy. So love as a pursuit or being placed on a pedestal doesn’t seem weird to me. However, they do laugh at “lovers for infatuation”.
Overall, my answer is lackluster as frick and I’m sorry. But as the story progresses, I hope to give you a better answer :)
Bitches who act like Henry Miller would be transphobic sooo lame bro literally was a surgeon and wouldn't shut up about the joy of creation and you want to convince me he was cis?
Hey, wassup homie. If you have the time and patience, can you eat what I decided to cook 🔥🔥 (I am so cringe).
For the holiday season, I never experienced the joys of making gingerbread houses. So I hope to see such euphoria somewhere else. Your lovely cast decided to make gingerbread houses. How exactly good are said houses, what special decorations do they have, whose house is about to crumble to bits?
Hi there, bro! (Oh god the cringe 😭)
Firstly, I really want to express my deepest condolences about your gingerbread housing situation. Hope you are getting better!
Now for the prompt…
Death, ever the gentle soul, constructs a gingerbread house that's as sweet as it is wobbly. Constantly apologizing to the gingerbread for any perceived mishandling, their creation is whimsically lopsided, much like their approach to life (and death).
Lilith/Damien conjures a devilishly decadent gingerbread palace with sugar-spun flames and candied brimstone. The grandeur is impressive, but one can't help but wonder if a touch of hellfire wasn't used in baking.
Morgan/Morgana, as can be expected, first uses magic to conjure up an ethereal gingerbread house that shimmers with enchantments. Pepper, however, is quick to criticize this magical shortcut. Chastened, the witch tries a hand at mundane construction, only to end up with a crumbled mess.
Peisinoe crafts a theatrical gingerbread stage with cookie performers and an icing-draped backdrop; it's less of a house and more of a tribute to the arts. They will nonchalantly say that the stage is their house if you ask them why they made it.
Yaga meticulously assembles a gingerbread abode that epitomizes precision and efficiency. Each candy is methodically placed, each icing line flawlessly straight. Her grumbles about the frivolity of the task don't stop her creation from being the most structurally sound of the lot.
Hastur's creation mirrors his nature - stoic, imposing, and surprisingly intricate. His gingerbread fortress, complete with marzipan defenses and licorice guards, is not just practical, but also tastes the best.
With her innate cheerfulness, Shelly crafts a gingerbread house that radiates warmth and joy. Adorned with colorful candies and frosting with just the right amount of sweetness, the house almost resembles a bar - maybe a nostalgic nod to her own lost home.
Lastly, He Without Name creates something less of a house and more of an abstract representation of home. It's a minimalist structure, challenging the concept of a gingerbread house. The others will try to figure out what to make of it, but it's undeniably intriguing.
The Raven can't exactly build a gingerbread house, but he would definitely enjoy criticizing all the others.
