What about Alina for the bingo meme thingy?
That's three for three on Magireco characters, I'm both surprised and also not, ehe Anyways of course Alina, everybody's favorite Mad Artist!
Tumblr media
I think Alina has my favorite Magireco meguca design actually -- I love the slick 'uniform' design, which is ironic given how much I hated uniforms in school. It's probably the difference between 'Catholic schoolgirl uniform' and 'military-esque uniform but without the guilt of being actually military.' Or something. As someone who also does art stuffs, even though obviously I'm a) not a pro, and b) nowhere near Alina's talent level, BOY do I feel for her. Some art critics are the damned scum of the Earth. As of Arc 2 ending, we have her full motives and viewpoint on her art vs. the state of the world, and I love that they clarified her actual views instead of her while being influenced by Mikoto. As I've mentioned, my mother was a paramedic (and firefighter, god damn woman this is why you needed heart surgery!), and therefore I've had a lot of exposure to stories of disasters and crises, and of people putting their lives on the line for others and giving a middle finger to Death. (Example A: someone who jumped into the Potomac in the middle of winter to save someone who was drowning because a bridge collapsed. It's cold as fuck in DC in the winter, it's a surprise he didn't end up hypothermic.) So, I can agree with Alina for once: human nature shines at its brightest when facing impossible odds.
Whoops I gave a small ramble sorry all. Either way, thanks for this one Anon, and to the rest of y'all, I'm still taking these if you want to see me ramble over someone else ^ ^

Hii! I'd like to recommend the long way by dxkk1104! This story was so good and I think the author deserved more recognition :)
Anyway, thanks for all the recommendations!!!
Hii nonny,
You're welcome, I'm happy to help! 😊 Thank you for stopping by with a rec! 💕
I took a look at the summary and tags, and it already sounds so good. 🤩 Here's the fic info:
The Long Way By: dxkk1104 Death - natural course of events. In the past, Sasuke could say he'd gotten used to it. However, no one expected it. Her death. Sakura's absence in their lives. Until her reappearance. [Rated T, complete]
I haven't thought about that scenario, this is a nice surprise for sure. The story was added to my TBR list, thank you again for recommending it, nonny. 🤗
Hope everyone enjoy the read and leave some love to the author! 🤍
Stay Safe,
xoxo

I’ll go the long way, I’ll take my time
And I know someday
I’ll realize
It might take me my whole life
But at least i did it right
I did it right

The thing is. THE THING IS. The last time I left Florida I was running away at full speed. I knew I was running away, knew that I’d wanted to be gone for a long time and I was finally free to do so. I didn’t think about it. Didn’t really let myself because I was afraid I would chicken out. I would miss my friends of course. Miss some places. But that’s the way it always works right? And anyway I would be free.
I was free in Boston. And happy. And surrounded by even more friends and places that helped me become more confident and more ready to listen to my heart. My heart which didn’t know so many things, simply because it had never had to know them. It didn’t know that it could kiss a girl without ruining her. It didn’t know how to love itself for real let alone anyone else. And it didn’t know the difference between homesickness and the desire for change.
So I came back. I left behind the things that made me beautiful and brave and slightly less broken to be back in the place that had started to knit me together to begin with. It wasn’t the same as it had been, of course. I didn’t expect it to be. Time and delightful little hole in the wall dessert places wait for no man. But I think maybe I expected to learn something about myself. How to be a better daughter or friend maybe? So that I could be worthy of everything everyone up there was trying to give me but that I didn’t know how to accept.
Like learning to drive around your small town before taking your car on the highway, maybe my newly opened heart needed a place to practice being available that felt safe. Not that Boston wasn’t and isn’t safe. It will just never be the place I was made, you know?
Anyway, I was wrong. Quite expensively wrong. I HAVE grown in the last four years, but probably not in a way having a really good therapist up there couldn’t have also achieved. But even so, I have cherished the time I got to have with my Florida friends while I’ve been here. They make me as well, and though it’s been a rough several years, we’ve all tried to do what we can for each other. I guess what I’m saying is, I have never not felt loved.
So I’m boxing that up now, taking it back to Boston with me. I keep crying in weird places, like the Target parking lot or the Starbucks drive through, because this time I’m aware of the chapter I’m closing. I’m not running blindly toward a possible future. I’m going to a place I know and love with people I know and love and I’m leaving behind a place full of beauty and more people I know and love.
It would take a nearly impossible and drastic turn of events to bring me back here full time, and so the part of me that will always be here is cannibalizing itself to make a length of rope long enough to tether me to both places. I’m not sure if it’s possible to cut it free. I’m not sure if I’d want to.

Brett Eldredge - Songs About You
So today on MSR (Midnight Star Review), I will be talking about the latest album from Country Music Singer Brett Eldredge. His new album is titled "Songs about you" and was released on June 17th, 2022. But before we dive into the new project, let's talk a little bit about Brett's Career so far.
Brett Eldredge has had some success on my charts with songs like "Wanna be that song", Love somebody", (Which he has a version dedicated to his dog Edgar, & "The long way". Brett has scored 3 number ones on my weekly list MSR (Midnight Star Report) which combines now the Billboard Country Music Airplay Chart, CMT (Country Music Television), & even myself. But let's get back to this new Cd which has 12 tracks on it.
On this project, there a lot of stand out songs. And when I was writing this up, I was listening to the CD. But songs I think you should check out are "Can't keep up" which mentions "The Devil went down to Georgia" (Charlie Daniels band reference), "Songs about you" is a very good choice for the title track, & "I feel fine" is a really good track that probably won't get airplay. But there are stand out tracks on this CD and it is very tough to pick one for the track of the album. The stand out tracks are "Hideaway", "Home sweet love", & "Want that back". CMT has previewed a few songs from the CD including "Holy water". Let's see the rest of the track list up next.
Track list.
Can't keep up.
Songs about you.
I feel fine.
What else ya got.
Hideaway.
Get out of my house.
Home sweet love.
Want that back.
Wait up for me.
Where do I sign.
Holy water.
Where the light meets the sea.
And that's a wrap for the track list. Brett is very underrated Country Music Artist, and I still believe that. He deserves more credit for what he does for Country Music. And on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I would give this new album a 5 out of 5 stars. There are a lot of stand out tracks which isn't a bad thing. Brett had a hand in co-writing all 12 tracks. Thanks for taking time to read this review. See ya all next time.

“long hair on guys doesn’t make them less masculine. think keanu reeves, jason momoa, danny trejo, or the guy at your local dive bar who rides a motorcycle”
*the crowd nods*
“so long hair doesn’t necessarily determine masculinity”
*the crowd, more hesitant, still nodding*
“butches can have long hair—“
*GUNSHOT*

when u go to write a mentally ill person in ur story you are presented two options. the first option is to write your mental illness realistically as you actually experience it with all the ups and downs and people who are like you will resonate with it and feel seen. except every person who reads instagram infographics on mental health that uses the phrase narcicisst for anyone who does anything that crosses them and unironically call themself a dark empath will call you scary and tell you that youre demonizing mentally ill people
the second option is to lie and write inspiration porn for those people to get hard to

My father was martyred by Israel on 10 October 2023 after sacrificing his care in hospital so the injured children could take priority. Today would have been his 60th birthday. He was always selfless, kind, and giving for others. My father gave up everything for me to be able to have a better life, because that is what he always dreamed for me and my sister. The world suffered a great loss when he died, and my heart is always with him and every Palestinian who has lost someone.
In his honour and memory, I would love for anyone who is able to do so to consider donating to The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
The PCRF is an amazing organisation that does so much for those in Gaza right now, including helping provide food, water and medicine. You can donate any amount you are able to- there is no minimum! My father would have given his very last cent if he saw the way Palestine was continuing to suffer after over 100 days with this limited aid, so I know celebrating him by helping others is the least he would have wanted.
I saw @parrot-parent do a very successful donation match and I thought it was such a good idea so I will also match all donations up to $500! If you feel comfortable sending me proof of the amount of your donation, I will match it as a donation at the end of February. (My messages are set to mutuals only, but if you donate and we aren’t mutuals if you send an ask with the proof I will make sure to answer it privately.)

“Did you see the way that little girl looked at me? Kids. Little kids. They grow up believing that they can be a hero if they drive a sword into the heart of anything different. And I’m the monster? I don’t know what’s scarier. The fact that everyone in this kingdom wants to run a sword through my heart or that sometimes I just wanna let ‘em.” “We have to get you out of here. Over the wall. We won’t stop until we find some place safe, okay? We’ll go. Together. No matter what we do, we can’t change the way people see us.” “You changed the way you see me... Didn’t you?

Of the 19 hijackers who carried out the Sept 11 attacks:
15 were from Saudi Arabia (a powerful/oil-rich country the U.S. works hard to maintain diplomatic relations with)
2 were from the United Arab Emirates (also a powerful/oil-rich country the U.S. works hard to maintain diplomatic relations with)
1 was from Egypt, 1 from Lebanon.
None of the hijackers were from Iraq.
None of the Sept 11 hijackers were Iraqi.
None of the 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq.
