I know so many people have said this already and in much more coherent ways than I can but the way luke was depicted in tbobf (and im not just talking about the uncanny valley cgi… why did they not just recast him orz) makes me so frustrated even now. Especially now. Maybe i’m just a delusional dinluker but i really really believe that luke skywalker needed to be in the mandalorian season3.

I cannot believe luke skywalker would make grogu choose between his dad and becoming a jedi. It is just so explicitly ooc for him. I’m reading the destiny path comic right now and there are so many pages that show luke struggling with the worry that he can’t be a Jedi because he can’t let go of his attachments to his friends. and i know this is a core theme of luke as a character, it’s not new, but the comic is just so explicit about it and goes into depth in a way that it doesn’t have time to explore on screen

It explores luke’s worry about disappointing yoda when he left dagobah to go help leia and han in cloud city, and how he feels about ben and yoda refusing to talk to him anymore or help him through the force because he didn’t make his jedi training a priority above everything and everyone else, like a Selfless Jedi should. and grogu goes through the literal exact same thing. and luke reacts in the exact same way yoda and ben did to him?

In the comic, the radio silence from his teachers eats at him so badly and adds to the struggle he’s going through after finding out Vader is his father and losing his hand. He feels abandoned and afraid and, even though these feelings lead him to realise he can make his own way as a jedi, I just don’t think he’d inflict the same thing on grogu. Even if i were to look at it from a perspective of luke being forced to make his own way without his teachers made him a stronger jedi - so maybe he’s doing the same for grogu?

After all, I know grogu is such a young child so I also understand the series tries to come at it from the angle of respecting a child’s wants and needs, not forcing him to commit to training if he doesn’t want to. But I just don’t understand why luke couldn’t join grogu every now and then. Teach him some jedi stuff on the weekends. They make it seem like luke has nothing better to do anyways, he’s got droids building his school for him and seems to spend his days entirely with grogu anyway. If he went back to tatooine with grogu at the end of tbobf, i just think there would have been so much to explore between luke and literally any of the characters. din and boba specifically of course but if that led to luke in mando s3 there could’ve been so much potential.

Perhaps they just needed a reason for a big emotional scene for grogu to choose his path and his destiny. Perhaps they couldn’t put luke skywalker in the show too much for fear of throwing off the sequels. There’s the argument that luke already had his screen time and, trust me, I also hate the re-usual of existing characters to the point where they’re wringed out of any substance and have been so fleshed-out and developed it’s almost grotesque to force them to stay in the show any longer. but star wars doesnt have a problem with that for so many other characters anyway.

I just wanted to see grogu growing up to be both a Mandalorian and a Jedi. It would’ve been so perfect with the Mand’alor Din storyline too. Grogu, the son of the Ruler of Mandalore and the student of the strongest Jedi in the galaxy, the start of a new generation and so much foundation to explore between Mandalorians and Jedi!!!!!!!

The bot fell to the ground with a thud. God Din still hated those things. He had found you with the child when he was doing his original bounty. He still wasn't quite sure why he didn't let that bot kill the two of you.

You looked up at him with wide eyes, sitting next to the child. You had a dirty plush in a tight grip that had clearly been with you through a lot.

Din crouched down so he could look at the child and you. You gently tugged on his arm.

"You gonna hurt us Mr?"

"..No.. I'm not going to hurt you kid. Both of you are safe..."

You didn't look like a child however going off how you were acting Din was more than content with refering to you as such, and considering you hadn't corrected him when he called you kid he assumed you were also okay with this.

It had been about 4 months since the oh so famous Mandalorian took in the two foundlings. You and Grogu.

Din was currently making some alterations and cleaning the crest, leaving you and Grogu to play close by outside. The two of you were sat on the ground babbling to each other. Din wasn't quite sure what the two of you were talking about but he was happy that the two of you were having some fun and getting some form or normalcy without an adventure.

Deciding to take a break Din walked over to the two of you.

"What are you two kids up too? Huh?"

"Havin tea party Dada!!!"

He didn't know if he's ever get used to that..

"You're having a tea party now ad'ika?" He briefly faked gasped to entertain you.

"Mhm!!"

"Well I'll leave you two crazy kids alone.."

"No! No stay!!! Buir! Stay!!"

Din chuckled.

"Sure kid.. I'll stay.."

And that's how you, Grogu and Din spent the rest of that evening. Having a tea party, which soon turnt into watching the sunset and cuddles.

Happy May the 4th, everyone! I’m back to writing again, but this time with something new: my first piece for The Mandalorian! I really enjoyed the latest season, but something about the dynamic between Bo-Katan and the Armorer hit different, so here’s a piece just for them! I hope you enjoy!

Ikr and why are people still trying to deny that Grogu learned peacekeeping from Jedi and trying to act like Din taught him these things? No he didn't and fans are just bitter Grogu learned positive things from Luke and Jedi instead of their Mando blorbo. They're so transparent.

I genuinely have no idea what about this short post that made you think I hated Din and his fans. It may have been meant in Jedi-loving solidarity, but it could not be further from the truth.

Din Djarin does have peacemaking skills and often puts in great effort to avoid conflict if possible. The dialogue drew a parallel with Luke, but it is extremely possible he learned it from Din.

The awesome thing about Grogu's story is that he is both Jedi and Mandalorian. He doesn't have to disown one or the other, but can learn the value of both cultures.

It is extremely frustrating. The theme of this show is about making peace, stopping violence, love, and family. And yet so many fans insist on dividing and fighting each other.

I honestly think some of you "pro-jedi" people just hate the star wars universe. Like I get where you are coming from, the pro-sith agenda was so sickening and so popular for so long, it feels good to put those people in their place. But the hard to swallow pill is the Jedi were about love. They loved the mandelorians, even when the mandelorians hated them. They loved the republic, even when the republic didn't understand them. They loved Anakin, his betrayal hurt! When you go out there tearing down all these cultures, and people in the effort to make the Jedi look better, you are showimg yourself to have more in common with the sith than the Jedi. And refusing to admit when mistakes were made (I am not talking about the so called baby stealing anyone with eyes or ears can see they didn't steal babies), doesn't help their cause. I get why you are tempted to act this way, there are a lot of people who try to use these mistakes as a reason to excuse the Jedi genocide, or say they deserve it, but refusing to see the mistakes the Jedi made during the clone wars is to refuse to see why so many Jedi were so adement they shouldn't be part of it, it is why you can't understand why so many refused to join the rebellion! The Jedi are individuals not a hive mind, they all had opinions on what it meant to be one with the force, and rarely was war part of it, but at the same time they were knights and warriors, and finding that balance is hard, Anakin was a great Jedi, he just lost his balance, but so did every other Jedi during the wars, that is the whole point of prequels everyone falls, that is what Obi-Wan's arc is about how to get back up after you fall, the only difference that sith lovers love to overlook, is that the Jedi (and Anakin) didn't just fall, THEY WERE PUSHED. This was a set up, the war was designed so they could not win, both literally figuratively. If they won, they would have lost so much of what made them Jedi, and if they lost (which they did) they would be decimated literally with not enough physical presence to truly act as Jedi and make much of a difference. Or at least that was Sidious's plan the Force had other plans and proved a faithful few could still serve it's needs, it didn't need numbers.
