breath vs breathe is kind of weird, because. TECHNICALLY a breath is not a physical thing. It's intrinsically an action, but in the case of Breath it's almost like an. idea-action? you can't have Breath without the implication of action, BUT in sentence structure it is, for all intents and purposes, a noun, and treated as such.

you can take a breath, but you can't take a breathe. and similarly, you can breathe, the action, but you can't breath. it would be like saying, i am going to hold this [verb]. as if it were a noun. if that makes sense?

I had a dream that a new Kuro reboot came out and most of the English voice actors stayed the same and it had better writing and it had this absolutely beautiful art style. I love the manga style but the dream reboot had these delicate thin lines and detailed eyes and hair that really worked well with the frilly intricate boy Lolita esq outfits the show often puts characters in. The whole thing had very detailed shading too. Reminded me a little of Castlevania? I need to draw what it looked like.

Tallulah’s letter to Sunny (which was bad btw someone really needs to talk to Tallulah about it, the letter was just mean and unnecessary) gets really bad when you compare it to Sunny’s letter (and phil+chay) to Tallulah. Sunny’s was kind, but it was especially young it was filled with grammar mistakes, diction was tiny (small word choice, and words were short), emoticons, constant misspellings, that letter was very obviously written by someone 8 at the most. While Tallulah’s letter was long, proper grammar, huge diction, it comes off as someone at the youngest of 13 wrote it, but even adding in wiggle room for Tallulah just being a more mature writer she’s still very obviously much older than Sunny.

Kids are mean, they just are, and they’ll recognize like Tallulah did that their being mean, but if no one stops them they’ll just keep going. Tallulah is a kid, who is genuinely bullying this much younger kid, and she understands that fully as she states, but she is also blaming Sunny for this behavior. No one is telling her otherwise, to her she’s not mean normally but she’s mean to Sunny so obviously Sunny’s existence is triggering her trauma. Tallulah isn’t mean, so to Tallulah being mean is on part the fault of the other person (She’s a kid, kids work like that it). Someone just needs to have a proper talk with her, someone that she trusts and cares about, it doesn’t have to be Phil, it just needs to be someone.

Think about this from Sunny’s perspective, they purposefully withheld themselves when talking to Tallulah for a chance to be loved and then were told that they still were too much, and would be too much for a long time. Sunny got told very directly that it was their fault, that they were upsetting Tallulah by existing, and they can not be loved right now. Any attempts to talk to Tallulah are testing her patience, and she should just go away and never come back again. Sunny’s so much younger then Tallulah, so much younger then all the eggs but Em & Pepito, she’s just a little kid.

As a note I really adore Tallulah (my little darling) and I just want an adult to have a conversation with her, kids are like this but that doesn’t mean it should be left unchecked. If anyone says anything seriously mean to Sunny or Tallulah on this post it will be a block, I know twitters comfortable sending death threats to toddlers but you shouldn’t be.

Agsudisg I'm so glad you liked it, Kazi, I literally sat down the moment I finished reading and started drawing cuz you freaking killed me, I MEAN, vox being stubborn and denying help, and Alastor stubbornly giving him the aid he needs, but crouched in their respective toxic egos and self-image? So delicious. Alastor, who needs to know why he was left behind, and vox who's desperately pouring himself into the new thing... Ahhhh...

The part where he implies he really was running off to die...and Alastor goes all soft...the shared frequency, the antenna petting... I reread that multiple times bc it's so good...and the claws, the claws, vox denies wanting help from alastor to the last, but the claws!

Heheh the part where "Alastor goes all soft" is also a little on the part of RR!AU characterization, so it's a bit exaggerated. He's trying to ween his way in appealing to Vox again, but RR!AU Vox is just so tired. Alastor keeps bringing up the past....This was kind of a wacky scenario to write because it does skip/make you infer a lot of stages of development, but the AU is close enough to canon that I think it's not far to imagine filling in the gaps hhh....

LMFAO yes, Alastor def encourages call-ins, "The 'Let's Shit on Vox' show, your one-stop opportunity to diss Hell's most saturated overlord!" -- on the rare occasion someone actually called in, Alastor killed whoever said something off about Vox that wasn't to his "flavor" of hate.

9. What are your file name conventions?

I have terrible file organization. Many of them are named "a", "aa3", "asgv", "fhgh", or other random keyboard smashes. Recently, I have a bad habit of naming files "sketch1", "sk1", "skht1", or some misspelled way-- it's gotten so bad I'm up to "sketch22".... I find things by icon only.

14. Any favorite motifs?

Straight edges and shapes, maybe? I started drawing with an anime style though I'm mostly into western media-- I think it's very satisfying to have nice shape design/silhouettes though, but I don't draw in a super cartoony or exaggerated style so it's kind of hard to tell that I like and have fun doing it. I'm kind of scattered and like to dip my foot into everything unfortunately.

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated?

None really, but if I had to pick one for HH, maybe this one.

For my older art, definitely this one. I mean, I don't love it anymore, but I really thought I ATE with the concept at the time.

BOSS BATTLE!!!

Despite Syren and Charlie being like, my main and most important characters, I haven't actually drawn them in a little bit. I'll put lore in the read more like usual. I guess I've never actually explained who they are, thinking back.

So Syren and Charlie are these rag-tag duo of ex-royalty adventurers. Syren left voluntarily cause she wanted a life of thrills and she's a bit of an adrenaline junky, whereas Charlie was exiled for treason after questioning the late queen. (His mother, queen of the underground capital) Afterwards, he went to seek help from the strongest kingdom he could think of (The ocean capital) and met Syren. Being...Still pretty much royalty, and actually having a decent grasp of combat and magic use, they agreed to go explore the surface together to get stronger and assemble a team strong enough to fight against whatever the underground capital is planning. Btw, Syren's not using her powers in this pic, but her power is she can split up her body into fish in a pseudo-shape shifting manner. Her last name is actually Casio, a misspelling (lol) of Caesio, the kind of fish she's based off. A kind of fish that schools, thus her power. I don't know the exact date or year I made Syren, but it must of been somewhere around 2015-16. To this day I am astonished a design I think is genuinely pretty nice came from dumb little 13 year old me. Her design hasn't even really changed much, aside from she used to have a classic silver fish tail. (also, it doesn't always look like it, be she wears glasses!) ...Fun fact, Charlie is actually MUCH older of a character than Syren, although his design DID change a fair bit.

I think after exandroth happened, peters eyes would always have a faint yellow glow to them that would reflect in his glasses, and when he would fully knock out and let exandroth take over you wouldnt be able to see his eyes like that one episode of gravity falls where dipper couldnt tell if stanfords eyes were bill-ified because his glasses tinted over.

Also he has freckles. So many freckles.

Rumi means the world to me btw but I also fully headcanon them as having a devil like tail to match the horns? Same sort of rock crystalized pattern but as a tail and they fully use it to flirt WOAHGHH what who said that huh

i have generally pretty impeccable spelling, so writing characters who *aren't* good at spelling can be difficult. i'm not bragging except maybe i am a little, but anyway. i dont generally make fun of misspellings unless theyre funny/obviously typos, but if you genuinely misspell a word around me just know that i am nonjudgmentally filing it away in my brain under a folder entitled "plausible spelling mistakes". i also have a mental list of more general rules for how these mistakes happen, including misspellings of common word parts (roots, suffixes, etc) so that i can build plausible mistakes from scratch if i haven't actually seen someone misspell a particular long word. im normal btw

i made a comment on a fake dhar mann sketch video on tiktok and the responses im getting are genuinely insane. okay so i have to explain the video first, it was one of those videos where they reposted a video from youtube or something with like slime cutting or mobile game underneath. and the video above was like in the style of a dhar mann sketch, but it was very obviously not dhar mann (i'll get to that in a sec). anyways the video clip is of this dude whos stuck in traffic and he's late to the courthouse and the girl in the car in front of him is flipping him off for honking at her, cause they're both stuck in traffic there's nothing either of them can do. and the girls friend finds a glass cup in the glovebox and the girl driving throws it out the window cause she's like "who cares, i don't want it anymore", the guy drives forward a bit, his tire pops. obviously he's mad, not saying he can't be mad, but he gets out of his car and starts screaming at the girl cause he's like about to lose his kids and he's stuck in traffic. and like obviously, don't do that, but like i kinda get where he's coming from, whatever, its a fake video. but then he goes on to rip her out of the car and shoot her in the head later in the video, and i'm like woah wtf. so i make a comment that says, "bros anger issues are probably why he's losing his kids", like haha whatever, i only made the comment cause no one was pointing out the obvious. anyways the part i'm concerned about is the 41 replies i've gotten to that comment, all basically saying that he was justified in resorting to murder. like what the actual fuck??? here's the word for word conversation i had with someone in the comments

them- "How is the guy wrong. She blocked him, flipped him off and popped his tire AND STILL ACTS ENTITLED" (they misspelled popped btw so i corrected it here)

Hi! Just found your blog and so far i loved pretty much all of your analysis', they're just so complex and deep in the characters feelings and motivations.

May i ask, do you think that there was ever a real chance that Robb might have survived and triumphed in the end, or his journey was just doomed from the moment that he was crowned King? I think that most people give way too much credit to Robb's marriage with Jeyne as the beginning of his downfall, but i believe that the Freys would've end up betraying him wheter he married one of them or not. What do you think that were his fatal flaws? There was something that he could've done that would actually give him a real chance of winning? What about Catelyn, could she have done anything to prevent her son's tragic fate?

First, I want to direct you to @turtle-paced's excellent post here, discussing the author's thumb on the scale to bring down Robb Stark. I don't want to simply repeat all the points of that post, but to summarize in my own words, while Robb as a character definitely made mistakes, the author set up a considerable number of dominoes to be knocked over toward the downfall of Robb and the Stark cause during the War of the Five Kings.

Anyway, I do want to point out (since that post does not discuss it) what you bring up regarding Robb's marriage. Thankfully, GRRM has already spoken to this point:

We know that Roose Bolton had already taken Walda Frey to wife before Robb married Jeyne Westerling. Does this then mean that Walder Frey had already planned to ally himself with Bolton to murder Robb before Robb’s marriage betrayal, or was his anger towards Robb and his reasoning towards his own family as to why Robb had to be killed more than just a pretext, and the genuine reason for the Red Wedding?

“What if” questions are impossible to answer with any certainty … [sic] knowing old Lord Walder’s character, it is likely he would have searched for some way to disentangle himself from a losing cause sooner or later, but his desertion would likely have taken a less savage form. The Red Wedding was motivated by his desire to wash out the dishonor that was done him ... [sic]

That "losing cause" is accurately outlined in "Arya X" ACOK:

Ser Harys Haigh, who was a Frey on his mother’s side, nodded vigorously. “If Lord Tywin could defeat a seasoned man like Stannis Baratheon, what chance will our boy king have against him?” He looked round to his brothers and cousins for support, and several of them muttered agreement.

Roose Bolton studied him with pale eyes. “His Grace has defeated the Lannisters every time he has faced them in battle.”

“Had Stannis won, all might have been different,” Ronel Rivers said wistfully. He was one of Lord Walder’s bastards.

“Stannis lost,” Ser Hosteen said bluntly. “Wishing it were otherwise will not make it so. King Robb must make his peace with the Lannisters. He must put off his crown and bend the knee, little as he may like it.”

Late- and post-ACOK Robb was a doomed Robb, no question about it, and this was primarily due to the fall of Winterfell and the defeat of Stannis at the Blackwater (though the critical military undermining of Robb at Duskendale was yet to happen, of course). It's not that marriage to Jeyne was a political boon, or even a political nonevent, for him - it provided the Freys a credible excuse to withdrawing support, and unknowingly gave Robb a mother-in-law actively working to ensure he could not father a child who could be used as a rallying point for Stark resistance in the future - but this was a cause Walder Frey was already trying to remove himself from before any new of the "dishonor" to the Twins reached Harrenhal, a cause that to Walder Frey and others looked lost.

so his names diesel, his age? who gives a shit/ old enough to where people tell him to "get a job freeloader." hes super bisexual, "hates" women, and definitely uses 4chan. hes got like an obsession with revenge and keeps an ongoing list of anyone who has ever even slightly wronged him.

he carries a gun around that nobody, including him, knows exactly how he got. (he absentmindedly and completely accidentally shoplifted it from a store that was definitely laundering money.) hell shoot it to look cool but hes a huge pussy and would never aim it at someone/something living. he has no qualms with shooting people with arrows or using melee weapons, however.

his best friend is a waitress named peanut (that is her legal name, peanut winfrey, no middle name). she has no idea why she hangs out with him. pity? loneliness? morbid curiosity? just the feeling of being superior to someone? fuck if she knows, but it certainly couldnt be genuine enjoyment of his company /s. //tbh i guess i dont hate peanut either now that i think about it.

anyways diesels obviously not his real name, he just goes by it to make himself sound more cool or "tough." he never got a drivers license but if he did, it wouldve listed his name has dakota winfred (no relation to peanut). thats not a typo btw a few generations back on diesels dads side, someone misspelled their last name on the census and theyve been winfred ever since.

they have another friend named laslow who really wants to join a circus and may or may not be the biological father to many, many children hes never met (listen, he doesnt know for sure either). he doesnt have a last name to his knowledge. diesel has a very on and off relationship with laslow (platonic or romantic? its anyones guess) and peanut stays out of it except when its funny.

laslow is also like a magnet for freaky occurrences and bad shit happening to him, but hes like a super atheist and refuses to acknowledge any of it happening. hes the type of guy to get raptured, come back, and remain an atheist.

diesel is religious but only when its convenient for him and otherwise refers to himself as god, supposedly ironically. he uses the words bitch and cuck like commas and has been banned from nearly everywhere you can get banned from in their state (peanuts workplace included, but nobody gives a shit there, so he still comes and visits often to bother her).

peanut is somewhat superstitious, but her assumptions are strangely dead-accurate a solid 50% of the time. shes also raised catholic but doesnt really talk about it.

but yeah basically they smoke together and get into hilarious shenanigans
