Victor: Ha, I'm well aware that you are that type of person.

Victor: You can wait until you've been briefed before you decide if you're up to the task.

Victor: What about Ellis? Any conditions?

Ellis: My job is to shine shoes, so any mission is fine.

Ellis: If I'm going to kill them, I'd like to kill them at their happiest moment, but I don't think I can say that on a mission.

Ellis: My terms are..... I'd like to at least make sure they don’t suffer, how about it?

A plume of purple smoke rises from a corner of London Harbor.

Suddenly, Ellis broke off.

Immediately after, several men with murderous, bloodshot eyes surrounded the two in the darkness.

Not caring that he was surrounded, Jude exhaled another cloud of purple smoke without even drawing his weapon. (He’s so badass.)

Ellis: Because, Jude, you hate breaking promises, don't you?

Ellis, still smiling, slowly pulled two knives from his leg sheath.

The moonlight reflects dully on the knife.

Tonight the moon was shining brightly in the clear night sky.

Ellis: The moon is beautiful tonight, too.

Jude: Yeah, I feel like shit.

Ellis: Come to think of it, how should we end up disposing of them? Kill them?

Jude: We're going to hurt him enough to the point of death, and then we're going to restrain them.

Ellis: Copy that.

Man with Bloodshot Eyes: Are you the ones who caught my brother with the drugs and beat him to death?

Man with Bloodshot Eyes: Were you the ones who went out of their way to tell us to come to the harbor at 25:00?

Starting with each of the leaders who jumped out, the men rushed in.

Ellis: I'm sorry, but it's our job to lure you in  and wipe you out.

Ellis: You're the ones who won't make it out alive.

Ellis: Oh, but don't worry, I won't kill you right now.

Ellis: You might be happier to die here, but ..... 

The game was easily settled.

My Thoughts on Poppy Playtime Chapter 3

Ollie is ADORABLE!!!! "No ouchies or lost body parts?" HE'S A BABY I NEED TO PROTECT!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!! (¬‿¬) I have ZERO evidence for this but my theory is he’s The Prototype.

I’m REALLY happy to see the phone Ollie calls the player on is identical to the one in Project: Playtime! It’s nice seeing stuff introduced in Project: Playtime finally appear in the main series.

( ⚆_⚆ ) ESPECIALLY DR. HARLEY SAWYER!!!! WOW THE TAPE FEATURING HIM TALKING TO THE PROTOTYPE WAS DARK!!!! I knew a man like Dr. Sawyer would be a sick and twisted individual since he created the Bigger Bodies Initiative.

Despite that I was NOT prepared to hear the joy in his voice to experiment on children. It was revolting.

This exchange:

Prototype: "You stick us. Beat us. Tear at flesh. Do you feel it?"

Dr. Sawyer: "There is a secret inside you, 1006. Valuable beyond all measure. I cut and prod and burn at it, and I get closer with each session . . . So speak, or don't. Fight, or give in. Regardless, I learn something new about you every day . . . (Laughs) It excites me!"

Prototype: "Thank you."

Dr. Sawyer: "You . . . thank me?"

Prototype: "Absolutely. I learn something new about you every day."

THAT FINAL LINE WHEN THE PROTOTYPE IS MIMICKING DR. SAWYER'S VOICE AHHHHHH!!!!

＿|￣|○ I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO DR. SAWYER SO BADDDDD!!!!!! He wasn’t around for The Hour of Joy but I hope he suffered.

Leith Pierre: "Normally I'd have Dr. Sawyer do this but he's uhhh . . . out, let's say. So you got me until they find his replacement."

(o ´ _ ` )o The contrast between how Dr. Sawyer speaks to the experiments VS Leith Pierre the Head of Innovation at Playtime Co.

Both dehumanize the experiments in different ways.

Leith Pierre can’t even bother remembering Catnap's real name. He puts on this fake friendly facade. Referring to Catnap as his Pal and Buddy. It's so disingenuous.

Especially when he asks, "Heya Theo! How ya doin' bud?" Pierre could care less about how Catnap feels. It's only when Catnap responds, "The Prototype will save us." That gets Pierre to finally drops the corporate spiel. Admitting to what this place is. Catnap’s prison.

No wonder Catnap worshipped The Prototype after being save when this is what he’s told about his horrific situation.

Leith Pierre: "THIS is your life now. Get used to it."

I absolutely LOVED all the new features for the Grab Pack. The air jet looked SO FUN!!!! Watching people desperately shoot the flare gun against smiling critters in a cramped space WAS SO INTENSE!!! The smiling critter's small growls and whimpers made me sad.

(ʃƪ 〃’▽’〃)♡ The horror in this chapter was INCREDIBLE!!!! While I had fun playing Chapter 2 I remember feeling disappointed by the scares.

CHAPTER THREE HAD ME HORRIFIED!!!! EVERY JUMP SCARE HAD ME FLYING OUT MY CHAIR, THE ATMOSPHERE WAS AMAZING AND AHHHHH THE HOME ORPHANAGE SECTION!!!!!

It reminded me of PT ∑(; °_°) Especially with the radio informing us that in Elliot Ludwig's house it was discovered he HAD THE BODY OF A CHILD IN A DUFFLE BAG!!?!?!?!?!?!

ALSO THAT ONE RADIO'S REVERSE MESSAGE!!!

"8-8-1995 I find your presence intrusive. After all this time you return. You come in here and yet you kill and murder. You pilate and destroy. Your presence was demanded 10 years ago and yet you didn't show up . . . 8-8-1995 You were supposed to be here. Why weren't you here? You missed the event. You missed the meeting. AHHHHHH MOBGAMES KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING WITH THE LIGHTING IN THIS SCENE!!!!!

Huggy Wuggy is completely fine.

Kissy Missy was so sad and adorable in this chapter. Seeing her stare at the picture and hug herself BROKE MY HEART ( o̴̶̷᷄ _ o̴̶̷̥᷅ )!!! She deserves the world.

Catnap acting like a child and avoiding school 😭💔

Miss Delight was a minor spoiler I knew about since people used her face in their thumbnail. However I was NOT prepared for her to act like a Coil-Head!!!!

Theodore being described as antisocial and having a peculiar relationship with an imaginary friend _(:ì」∠)_.

That “imaginary” friend being The Prototype. Who guided Theodore to help them both escape. Only for Theodore to get electrocuted since he was just a child who didn't know how to safely use a Grabpack.

The Prototype throwing away their chance to escape to save Theodore by bringing him to the staff. Showing The Prototype does care in some way.

Only for Theodore to be later turned Catnap.

THEN the player electrocutes Catnap the SAME way Theodore originally received his injuries. The Prototype comes to “save” Theodore once again but this time by making Catnap a part of him AND CATNAP ACCEPTS SO WILLINGLY (˃ ⌑ ˂ഃ )!!!!

It felt like I was watching a religious experience.

I love Poppy Playtime but I do think they show too much in their trailers. Dog day is a great example but even then his scene was *chef kiss*

All the smiling critters crawling inside Dogday as he desperately screamed in agony and for us to run away left me speechless.

I liked the detail of Dogday calling us angel. I'm excited to see all the AUs people create where we save him.

ALSO THE HOUR OF JOY WAS A BLAST TO WATCH!!!!!

I know Poppy is right that it was just senseless slaughter. How all that death didn't fix or help anyone. Especially when it didn't matter if those killed were innocent or not.

However imagining these characters being painfully experimented on and stripped of their autonomy. Going though years of hell and finally reaching their breaking point. It's hard to not feel good for them getting to release that anger. Even if I know it's wrong.

ALSO I GOT TO SEE MY SECOND FAVORITE CHARACTER BOXY BOO YAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!

When hallucinating Huggy Wuggy's face is on the employee training video:

“Join the Innovationists, where the bounds of science are continuously pushed. Or join the Counselors of Playcare, whose diligence and care for our children will help shape a brighter future, just you see.”

“Now every one of you has your part in that future, so should you come back tomorrow feeling unhappy for where you are, or what you’ve done . . . worry not, for your supervisor is here and happy to listen! And . . . should you come back . . . years later . . . your conscience finally getting the better of you. May you descend into the dark and the dust, finding all that awaits you are incomprehensible horrors . . . each hungry for your return, each eager that they might find you. Perhaps they’d smile at you from a shadow, their smiling mouths full of teeth and meat and plastic, watching and waiting patiently for their turn at a warm welcome. Or perhaps they won’t allow you such a time to figure your place in the world you’d left. A world that’s theirs now. Welcome home.”

The video transforms into a manifestation of the player's guilt. Not only for their involvement for whatever they did while working at Playtime Co. but for being gone and returning after ten years.

This is also paired with the player's possible guilt for killing Huggy Wuggy and their fear of him.

The hallucination version being a more exaggerated version of the Chapter 1 Huggy Wuggy vent chase.

When Catnap causes the player to later hallucinate:

Poppy: “Do you even know what’s real?”

Poppy: “No you don’t.”

THEN AT THE END OF THE HALLUCINATION IT SHOWS US THE DAY OF JOY!!!! Which is very odd when you consider two things. We've been told multiple times we weren’t there and during this scene we didn't know what the Hour of Joy was.

So the player hallucinating being in front of Huggy Wuggy’s podium during The Hour of Joy with a large Prototype hand reaching for us IS ODD!!!

ALSO THE TAPE IT SHOWS THAT’S WHERE HUGGY WUGGY WAS DURING THE HOUR OF JOY!!!!!!!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!?!?!

This is just speculation but perhaps the player's memories aren't as trustworthy as we think. After all we still aren't even sure who even sent us the letter or tape in Chapter 1.

It’s important to point out the characters from Chapter 2 made ZERO appearance during these hallucinations. Mommy Long Legs, PJ Pug-a-Pillar, Bunzo Bunny and the Wack-a-Wuggy.

Is the Huggy Wuggy imagery used because he’s who we encounter at the start of the game?

OKAY BUT ANYWAYS i cherrypick canon and then make up random bullshit.

So so so so so I think it depends a lot on How it's created (and maybe how its consumed.)

General death, Outside of the possessed-object. I think that ghosts will form or memories will linger, but don't nessecarily possess any sort of object. BUT. If they are stuffed into something or close in some sort of way, they possess that object and are "bonded" to it.

Uhhhh i do rlly like the idea of two spirits in Golden Freddy. I think even jusy Dying by something can cause you to possess it.

I think the more gruesome the death, the more fear, especially the more prolonged, the more remnant is made.

I think Cassidy was killed AFTER being stuffed into Fredbear/golden freddy, she was killed by (at least primarily) a springlock accident. I don't think she died fast at all. And also she was basically melded into her Possessed Object. (CC is...very different case to this. Died because of fredbear(maybe techincally inside him), prolonged death. But obiviously not as extreme. I think he'd be very whispy and weak compared to the rest of the ghosts)

Like springtrap. I think William has a lot of other shit going on tho. I think that guy was injecting and eating and smearing remnant on himself at all oppurtunity. And that's one reason why he's so... persistant.

BUT ALSO I THINK A LOT OF IT IS FUCKING. MENTAL..MINE OVER MATTER TAKEN TO THE EXTREME. I think Charlie is in this boat. She is like, directly a familial (sorta) murder. That is a man i knew. An adult i trusted. And now i'm dead. Hooray. I think all the emotion towards Charlie's death kept her around. I just think shes like the main characger amd i love her and im so glad for her story signifigance.

remnant added onto a living being in some way increases their lifespan. And the more you eat the more it Effects you, and especially you get more negative symptoms

Like henry FOR SURE has some remnant in him. It has done something to expand his lifespan. But also I think, even one or two "doses" definently fucked something up in him.

Like, you live longer, your Soul or whatever is using other souls like a fucking battery. But also I think general body functions are sloooowed and thats gonna have effects on people.

Michael is a corpse. Remnant doesn't stop the body from rotting. It slows it. The bodies in the suits still rotted, michael is still rotting. I think he's a very weird case. Like, the metal he techincally shouldve possessed has gone and left the building. He is possessing his body, which is well. A body. And not a piece of metal. I think he gets weird out-of-body experiences a lot. I believe he HAS to replace and repair himself, probably with metal and scrap parts (he certainly has some metal left over from ennard. At least as some structual supports. ("Whoops sorry buddy i broke your femur. Lemme just... replace that")

UHHH BUT ALSO BUT ALSO

I think it manifests as molten metal or oily grime coming from inside the animatronics. Like something fucking exploded in there and is constantly on the walls of the suits and metal endos . Even after they clean it and clean it.

(There's fun ways to read the puppets Tear Tracks with this. I think theyre there to ignore or hide said muck)

:3c i think it effects Bugs especially. I think flies and such love this blood-remnant muck and eat it and gonfucking insane for their litrle fly brains and have more flies and the maggots eat it and continues continues continues.

I think the sister location animatronics are Fundementally not optimal for getting remnant. Cassidy is at the top of our scale here, slow death within the Object of Possession.

I thinkt his is a good reason why Baby seems to.... detached?? Different?? Than Lizzie. Also maybe some of that is AI stuff but i think a good part of it is the killing process.

sway: joined the military at 18. considered a “failure” in school because he never really did well, but both of his parents were very sick so most of his time was spent working and looking after them. His mom wanted him to serve the country, since everyone in his town did it. He didn’t want to disappoint her, so he enlisted at 18. He was a really good shot because he used to hunt a lot, and he eventually became a SEAL and went into special forces

ully: also joined very young, but it was to get away from his parents. He lied about his birth year and during boot camp he got found out. They were already watching him very closely and thought that he was above average, so they took a gamble and let him stay. The caveat was that he knew that he could be sent home by them at any time, so he had to do everything he was told; no questions asked. eventually he was pulled aside with some of his peers about joining a special team. The guy running it told everyone that it was gov’t approved (it wasn’t). The team’s job was to go around basically interrogating and k!lling “suspects”. Ully would later find out that these people just knew too much about the leader. He kept coming back to deploy until he met a girl in a bar. It was basically love at first sight, so he went out with her a couple of times. She said she’d wait for him while he was at war and he went off again. When he got to base, he told one of his buddies he wasn’t going to re enlist, and the word got spread until the SPECOP leader figured this out. He pulled ully to the side and basically said “you will return until you die. I cannot afford to lose you, you are my best soldier.” Atp ully had a fuckton of pent up rage from doing this guy’s bidding and snapped. He finished his service and vowed to never go back. He married the girl and they had kids together, but shortly after his son was born he fell into depression from PTSD; he was convinced he couldn’t raise a child because of all the killing he’d done, didn’t know how to be kind. To help, he started looking into the operation he was in, and his angel of a wife stuck by him the entire time. when his kid was around 1-2, one of his old friends from the unit came to his house. he told ully to stop looking into these things, that it wasn’t safe and his family was being watched. His wife suggested they move, so they did. Ully stopped looking, and focused on family. That is, until he got some random ass email. It was the straw that broke the camel’s back, and Ully told his wife he needed to go back. She told him to be safe, and off he went again. In his year at war, he gained no information except that the unit had disbanded when he started to look into them. Confused and homesick, he came back. He came back to a home torn apart. He came back to his wife, tied to a chair with a bullet wound in between her eyes. He came back to his son, with a tear stained face and empty eyes and a white sweater turned red. He mourned for months, and by rotting he became vengeful. He packed up his life and went on a killing spree basically. He hurt anyone who could be connected to his family’s murder; including many government officials and soldiers from his unit. Caught in the crossfire were two undercover Americans. Word got out that the Americans were killed, and that’s where Sway comes in. Sway’s team was given the job of finding this guy. Sway’s particular job had been watching Ully for a few years now. I don’t wanna write out how they met, but they did. It was on a mountain overlooking the home of a Swedish military contractor. Ully was basically about to put a shot through this dude’s skull but Sway stopped him. He tried to fight but it didn’t work. One of Sway’s teammates hit him with a syringe and he passed out.

I saw a post a long while back where someone was like "could you imagine if Erika had been pregnant with Nevra, Ezarel, or Valkyon's kid while they were in the crystal" and my heart just broke 😔. Especially since Nevra and Erika have this whole "I literally feel like I took a nap, wdym u moved on" vs "i slept around to try and move on for the past 7 years but you're alive and now I'm in emotional shambles (but I love you still)" issue 😭

► a/n: Anon, I want you to know that the second I got this request, I screenshotted it and sent it to my friends because I was so excited to write about it.

We ended up brainstorming together, so this was particularly fun to write. I’m SO GLAD someone asked me to write smth about it. I just… Have THOUGHTS about this and the concept is so interesting to me I just… I needed to write it.

Before we get started, I do have a couple of disclaimers here:

First, while I did some research about pregnancy I have never been pregnant nor am I a doctor. Keep in mind that this is fanfiction and we’re talking about a half-aengel half-human hybrid who got stuck inside a magical crystal for seven years and didn’t age a day except for her hair getting longer and her vampire partner who kind of looks like Zuko.

So, if you’re looking for realistic representations of anything pregnancy then… You’re in the wrong place, buddy.

Second, This story takes place after the events of chapter 6 of A new era. Episodes 7 and 8 aren't canon in this universe.

And thirdly, this is going to be a multi-parter!

Erika’s life has been a mess lately.

That might as well be an understatement of the century. Between fighting murderous dragons to being trapped in a Crystal for seven years, there is a point in time where she started getting desensitized to all the weird things that happened in her life.

She could read familiar’s thoughts? That’s fine.

She was connected to Leiftan and was able to feel his emotions? Weirder things have happened.

The barrier between Earth and Eldarya was disappearing and the two worlds were quickly becoming one? This one was admittedly hard to swallow, but she didn’t find herself too surprised at the notion.

But then again, even with all the chaos, drama and strangeness that she seemed to attract, none of it prepared her for that moment:

‘‘You’re pregnant.’’

Ewelein said, bluntly. Erika was taken aback for a second, trying to process the words that came out of the nurse’s mouth and what it would mean to her.

She felt a weird sort of detachment from the announcement. It’s not like it was something she suspected, nor it was something she even thought possible at all. When she came to the infirmary after the Genkaku mission, all she expected from her obligatory check-up was a remark about how she didn’t come back hurt for once and to be congratulated by the return of her powers. Maybe be chided for not having enough iron in her system. But pregnancy? That was the last thing she ever expected to hear.

‘‘Excuse me, what?’’ Erika stared back at the nurse, eyes widening in horror. ‘‘How is that even possible? I know it’s annoying to mention it at this point, but you are aware that I was in a coma for seven years, right? I’ve only been awake for… What? Two months at this point? I’m not even used to having a body again. I haven’t been sleeping around much.’’

‘‘That’s why I asked for another blood sample. I thought it might’ve been an error, but all results came out positive. You are pregnant.’’

Ewelein held out the exams and mechanically explained how the exam worked. Erika wasn’t able to properly focus on her words, but she had the faint impression that Ewelein was doing it more for herself than for Erika’s sake, anyway.

‘‘There’s no way around it. Haven’t you been feeling symptoms? anything at all?’’

Erika thought about it well.

She hadn’t had her period since she woke up, but like a lot of other weird things she had been feeling lately, Erika chalked it up to being trapped inside of the Crystal for so long.

She didn’t have any use for her legs inside of the crystal, so she had to get used to walking again. She didn’t have to eat, so it took a while before she got used to the feeling of hunger and the sensation of eating.

Her body was in stasis, so when she regained function and started, you know, living again she figured that it would take some time before her reproductive organs started working like normal again. They were not a priority, after all, not when she was under the assumption that she wasn’t carrying a child.

The nausea she started feeling recently? She rationalised it as being the result of seasickness and grief.

After the initial shock and denial at Edgard’s sudden and brutal death, Erika felt as if she had experienced the whole spectre of human emotions in the span of a single, painfully long day.

By the end of the boat journey, she was exhausted. Both physically, due to the strain that the overuse of her powers caused and psychological, due to the emotional rollercoaster she was put through.

A little nausea was to be expected, right?

It only now hit her that she went through quite a couple of fights while carrying a child, was hit and overused her powers. The fact that they were still alive astounded her.

‘‘You haven’t answered my question.’’

‘‘So, when two people like each other very much, they—’’

‘‘I know where babies come from, clearly. I just mean, how is that possible when the last time I’ve been with someone was so long ago?’’

‘‘We did discuss what might’ve happened to your body when you were trapped, didn’t we? I think that your pregnancy confirms that your body was in a state of stasis during the whole time you were there. The second you got out, all the normal functions went back to what they used to be the second you made the sacrifice… But… that’s just a hypothesis. We can’t really erase the possibility of this being--’’

‘‘The Crystal?’’

The thought horrified her.

If having to deal with this being thrown in her face wasn’t bad enough, there was the possibility of it not being the result of a passionate goodbye between lovers, but the result of the Crystal meddling with her life, again.

It seemed strange, even for her already unbelievable circumstances, but considering everything that she went through, she couldn’t exactly discard that theory.

Ewelein, who was bound by duty and still kept herself professional despite the absurdity of the situation, ran through all the options that Erika had at her disposal at the moment.

She was kind and gentle when explaining to Erika what to expect from her pregnancy, and held her hand during the entire explanation, as a way to show comfort. She offered to bring to her a book on the subject, and deliver it to her bedroom discreetly, which was promptly accepted, and assured her that she wouldn’t tell anyone, not even Huang Hua until Erika had calmed down and made her decision.

As a friend, she suggested that it might be a good idea for Erika to contact the father (and even offered to do it on her behalf if necessary) which was declined.

As much as Erika was dreading the conversation that they would have, she knew that she needed to tell Nevra herself.

But how could she even begin to explain what happened to him when only recently he started warming up to her again?

Nevra would never be cruel enough to completely abandon them, and Erika just knew that he would be doting and kind to their child, as he was with all those within his care. But, at the same time, she was afraid of being faced with rejection. It’s not like she could demand a relationship after so long, and forcing it on him using their child as an excuse just seemed downright evil.

She couldn’t sacrifice his freedom like this.

That’s why, in a moment of pure desperation, Erika chose to ignore her plight and avoid him as much as she possibly could.

It tore her up inside, but what else was she supposed to do?

Yeah, she could sense all the disappointed looks that Ewelein shot her, but true to her word, she didn’t say a word. Not when she delivered the book to Erika’s room that night, not a week later when Erika visited the infirmary after being accidentally cut by Mathieu’s sword during fighting lessons and not two weeks later when they went to the beach on Ewelein’s day off.

She diligently scheduled Erika’s next visit, and Erika knew that she couldn’t exactly pretend like nothing was happening anymore.

‘‘At least you have been eating well.’’

Ewelein read through her exam results. Nodding in approval. While she hadn’t said anything directly, she had sent Karuto a detailed list of foods that Erika should consume and avoid, and increased her portions. Eating has been difficult since she woke up, as she couldn’t even stomach certain foods without feeling sick, but it got easier after they were able to narrow down her menu to things that she could tolerate.

The downside is that now Erika was sure that Karuto knew, or at least suspected that something was up. He never said anything, though, which Erika was incredibly grateful for.

‘‘But you know that stress isn’t good for you, right? I mean, in general.’’

‘‘Ewelein, sweetheart, when have I not been stressed?’’

She smiled, though the attempt at a joke wasn’t well-received.

‘‘I’m serious. If you intend on keeping this baby you need to start taking care of yourself. That means sleeping normal hours, eating well, not getting in danger and not getting stressed out.’’

As much as she wanted to argue, she knew perfectly well that Ewelein was right and that she was trying to look out for her, and that’s exactly why it was so frustrating.

It was easy to ask Erika to sleep normal hours or to not be stressed, but every single time Erika closed her eyes she found herself thinking about how Edgard’s throat had been slit. About his blood tinting the snow red.

She found herself wondering if that could be her, in the near future.

Would she be lucky enough to come back, if she were to die again? If she did, would her baby come back too?

She found herself longing for Nevra and his comforting words, then remembering how quick he was to act coldly towards her when she awoke.

He was being nice now, but would he revert back to his coldness once she told him about their child? Would he hate her? Would he send her away? Would he call her a liar? Would he—

She was hyperventilating.

She felt someone gently, but firmly, hold her hand and lead them away from her hair. She noticed, distantly, pain on her scalp.

She must’ve been pulling on it again.

Ewelein told her to take deep breaths, so she did until she calmed herself enough to fully get back to the present time.

She had been spacing out a lot more than she used to, but it probably wasn’t another pregnancy symptom.

Erika stayed in the infirmary for way longer than she expected to once she left for her check-up. Ewelein apologises for pushing her and gives advice, but Erika couldn’t for the life of her remember what it was.

The only thing in her mind was the sudden, concrete realisation that there would be no escaping from her fate:

She would have to tell him, no matter how much it terrified her.

If not for herself, for the sake of her child.

I have never, and I mean NEVER, watched a show where the man loves his wife as much as Judd loves Grace. He sat in that car as the water rose around them willing to die with her, hand in hand, because that's the way he wanted to go. Because he is nothing and there is nothing without her. He broke up with her because he thought it was best for her — stupid yes, but done truly because he knows how phenomenal she is. He knew everything she could be and he wanted her to reach her fullest potential, regardless of the agony it caused him. He was ready to pack up his life after 2 MONTHS to be with her because he knew down to the marrow that she was it for him, and there wasn't ever going to be any other. He said it best when he said he'd walk through fire for her, has proved it EVERY SINGLE TIME she's in his sightline and you can just feel the devotion and adoration radiating from him and I will NEVER love a tv couple as much as I love them everyone else can go home

How can anyone be sad about Eddie and Ana dating when it is so narratively clear what her role in the story is? Regardless of any misogynistic implications, Ana's literal role is a stepping stone on Eddie's path to healing and recovery. like. that's not fanon conjecture, that's literally canon. She is designed to be temporary. I'm not saying buddie is going to be a thing; none of us can know until we Know and frankly, I don't think the writers know if buddie is going to be a thing either. But I will say that Eddie dating Ana is an incredibly important and pivotal peak in his character arc, and that this event marks the beginning of his future as a person truly healing from a devastating loss. He's admitted to not being over the death of his wife, probably not over the fact that she was ready and willing to divorce him like two hours before her death, but now he's willing to try and I'm so GLAD we get to track his healing and recovery fully instead of the writers just skipping through his healing like it's nothing. anyways I could rant about this forever but I'd literally die for him and you guys need to stop stressing out over nothing 😭

All I wanted in this episode was to see Eddie standing in support of Buck against his parents and he DID. No, he wasn't there for the dinners or anything like that, but he told Buck point blank that he had nothing to apologise for.

OK seriously think about that for a moment. When is the last time ANYONE has told Evan Buckley that he has nothing to apologise for? Eddie did something for Buck that not many people do for him: he validated his feelings. He told him it was okay to be pissed, he told him he had a right to be angry and hurt, even though his delivery wasn't the greatest. And not only is this significant development on Eddie's part (actually engaging in emotionally demanding conversation? the same man who literally ran off to war instead of dealing with whatever was going on at home?? okay), this episode also posited Eddie as exactly the kind of person Buck needs. like, obviously I'm a shipper so I'm gonna look at things with shipper glasses, but even taking those off for a minute: Eddie stood in Buck's corner when no one else who mattered (even Maddie, though I'm not mad at her) did. That's a good friend. That's a good partner. like??? ugh we were fed so good in this episode y'all, eat up

- Praying for another (variation of) “you two have an adorable son” this ep 😭

- THIIS MAN HAVING TWO FAMILIES wow what a jackass but also not him running likee he just stole something important like bro it ain’t that serious?? Why are the wives turning on EACH OTHER when he’s the one in the wrong?

- HE BROKE BOTH ANKLES?! OH MY GOD EW NOOOOOO

- Eddie giving in to Christopher is just so funny like he just laughs and then is like “okay… you’er serious.”

- No but Eddie and Carla’s chemistry (PLATONIC) is so entertaining it’s why their scenes are so fun to watch.
