Particularly when they pray as you hop onto the artifacts menu to raise em, whether is for for them, another character to which some might try to purposely mess the rolls up bc oops! looks like they can't use that now! :) guess they'll have to wait., or just to make space for more bc HOW IS YOUR ARTIFACT STORAGE FULL ARE YOU OKAY??? Σ(・∀・；)

Whenever you raise their artifacts they kinda feel bad if it rolled into the wrong subs when you raise it with them and would either apologize or say that it'll roll better on the next one, they know it will!! (it did not 😔)

That or they don't bc they felt silly and wanted to spite you so guess you gotta do a few more runs to try again teehee 😗👉👈 they eventually roll a ridiculously amazing artifact at some point, but just this once!

(or y'know the opposite where there's always this one character you always use to raise artifacts bc they always get the best rolls and best subs? yeah imagine them celebrating w you at how good the stats rolled too!!)

Kinda like how if you try to make gear in tkrb there's a chance of it shattering (therefore failing) instead of being able to create one and when that happens the character you brought with you for those will say things like "oh no, it broke! i'm so sorry :(" or "i-it's okay!! let's try again...!" or you just flat out hear sobbing noises bc your new feather low rolled all 5 into defense FLAT 😭 BASICALLY THAT YEAH

There's this weird and very gory French + Canadian film called Martyrs (exercise caution when looking it up in terms of images if that stuff freaks you out) and the basic concept is like. Some cult trying to understand what happens after death by bringing people to the brink of it in the most traumatic and agonizing ways possible. And I just realized that that's really some William Afton shit, both for the original motive and for remnant extraction.

(Accidentally wrote an essay in the tags so, ah. Read those I guess)

#i don't really write william as nearly that intense actually #for one because he is not at his peak of darkness most of the time i write him #two because i don't find gore itself inherently interesting #aside from eye scream and medical horror specifically #and 3 because i generally want my characters to SURVIVE so i can play with psychology and healing bc that's way more up my alley #but anyway. the comparison can still be made #i also don't think william would go for some of the stuff in that movie entirely because of cleanup. he has to hide his activities #and he doesn't have a cult to fall back on #but it would be interesting to see if he tried to maximize remnant extraction with some kind of psychological torture #that fits some of the things in the lonely children au by dire honey and freddles. in terms of the endless nightmare schtick #and i could honestly see some level of help wanted and the in universe fnaf games twisting that way too #harvesting the agony of players #hmm. maybe that could be why moon seems fucked up even presumably before kids start going missing again in sb #but anyway #he can only do so much murder before his. ah. resources. would dwindle #maybe he needs to harvest remnant other ways as well #and the continued murder is tied more to his obsession with death and immortality #fnaf #william afton #theorizing about william's weirdness

thinking abt how nemesis kind of sets up what should be the most thematically interesting ambition in FL and how quickly that fades as it goes

#had a good amount of time to think abt it now and the knife price cut just hit so ive got some thoughts #nemesis puts a good amount of time into asking the player how far they're willing to go for revenge but the message dilutes as it goes #you start off and it costs you hard-earned lessons to /not/ kill someone really early on. to /not/ kill it costs you extra #and then as you go ur just given more and more cost gates and it never quite hits that same note again #not until right at the end where you can spare m_ ______ and m_ ___#but there is the feeling that you're doing it no matter the cost #and i think that's why the knifegate change has me hurting. like as much as it was a pain it also felt amazing to get through it #i think what should've been added rly was an option to get the lethean tea leaves from the esuriant smith or lilac #bc the main thing that's missing from the whole 'revenge tragedy' plot is the ability for the player to have turned away at any point #only to keep pushing on because they just can't bring themselves to forget #in the end it just feels like that early 'kill for the keys' or 'just knock them out but its harder' should've been a recurring motif #like the bodies always pile up in revenge stories. how much are u willing to do to ensure they don't??#it'd have been nice to have more options #ways around dealing with that devil other ways instead of taking red honey ways of not (probably) worsening the condition of a seeker #idk #im also at least a little bit mad abt the fact that for all that cost there's almost never fun post-nemesis things #always seeing hearts desire options (HATE u mr cards) and BaL options and what do nemesis players get. hellicon house stuff.

Lol - not very long at all!#As you can imagine I only got to play with the Egg Hatching/Baby stage which is very chaotic and needy so that's what I had to go off of #It's different! Not Super different in certain ways lol ♪ But different!#Smol very graciously agreed to play with me since I got both a Mesu and Osu :D She got the Mesu and named her Honey #And I kept the Osu and named him Bee! :D #I'm still in a little bit of conflict as to whether the Device (Gotchi) is named Bee or if the Creature (Tama) is named Bee lol #I think I've decided that the Device /and/ the first generation of Tama is named Bee and then all subsequent generations are puns on Bee lol #So for Bee's child I named him Bay - BayBee lol #Bee was a cute little lad <3 I miss him a bit :') But he was a good father as well! Seeing people on Twitter trying to hate on Taylor swift is so funny like, she’s living in their heads rent free as they scramble for reasons to hate her
