I often think that I’m autistic but then I see a post like “I take everything so literally, here’s a list of times I took things incredibly literally” and then I’m just left like,,, it baffles me that some people don’t have the question everything anxiety. Like we didn’t all get things wrong, have someone be mad at us, then learn to think about every possible scenario from then on out? The moment I did something wrong I would start to catastrophize, worrying that I had just inadvertently ruined someone’s day, made them upset, made them hate me.

So my immediate reaction to things is to get more information so I can do it right and I won’t have to it again and I won’t get yelled at or have someone mad at me. If someone asks me to do something bigger than flipping a light switch then my brain goes into over drive thinking of all the possible things they could possibly mean with their request.

Does anyone have any tips about selling your stuff online? I need to get rid of a bunch of my old junk but I desperately need funds. I’m not in a great home situation right now and im trying to get out or maybe make it better. Probably gonna be old toys, clothes, accessories, and any other random stuff I can part with.

Anyone else feel internal classism? Like I would never look down on someone for having one of those “teen” jobs (the stereotypical underpaid, bored teen in movies and tv) like being a part time cashier, movie theater attendant, or fast food worker. Some people like those jobs, or they want the employee discount, or they’re in between full time jobs and there is nothing wrong with an adult having those jobs. But the moment I’m applying for them I feel like I’m failing. I got the grades, I got a degree, I’m talented in my craft, but no employer will contact me back?? It feels like giving up on the thousands of hours I’ve put into my future by applying for part time retail. It feels like confirmation that I’m simply not good enough for anything else I try applying myself for, especially when I can’t even get a “no thanks” back. I feel so much unnecessary shame around going for the “lower” jobs
