If you give someone a ride home, or walk someone home, don't leave or drive away until you see them get inside and close the door behind them. Make sure you see to it that they get fully get inside safely before you leave.

This also applies to temporary residences, such as a hotel, airbnb, dormitories, ect.

Seeing to it that they fully make it inside safely isn't just about fear of something as drastic as an assault or a mugging. It would also be awfully annoying and stressful for them if they lost their key, and before realizing they're locked out their ride or walking companion has already sped off, so now they're stuck outside alone with nowhere else to go, and possibly a dead phone (when it rains it pours). Or maybe there's dangerous fauna in the area. Or maybe the neighbor's poorly trained dog with aggression issues is loose. Or maybe they slip and hurt themselves while walking to the door.

Even if you're absolutely positive they'll make it to the door safely, it's still a kind and thoughtful gesture to let them know that you care enough about their safety to see to it that they make it inside safely.

it's a known fact Dr veritas ratio wears an alabaster head so as to not be exposed to idiots. anyone who he interacts with while not wearing it is considered to be extremely lucky and smart. sadly that was not the case for you. despite knowing him for a long time, he never graced you the pleasure of seeing his actual face. you asked yourself why a lot of times. did he find you stupid? no, he usually attends your lectures and chooses works with you whenever he needs someone. you just brushed it off as your friend being a bit of weird guy.

I was recently extremely blessed in being able to finally see one of my “bucket list bugs” as I’ve started calling them. (Not a real list, as I’m never one to be organized…)

But a friend alerted me to the presence of this big beauty and J gave me a leg up to take a closer photo with my measly phone camera and subpar photography skills. I found some eggs she had laid on the wall and I scooped them up in hopes I can look after them. She hung around with her admirers for a good half hour before deciding she’d lingered long enough and flew off into the literal sunset.

something i really enjoy and that i don't really see anyone commenting about is how Kendra's inner monologue is so often accidentally funny. like sometimes you'll read something from a Seth chapter and you can tell it was purposely written to get a little snort out of you, but Kendra will casually hit you with the most insane train of thought. it gets me everytime when the Teenage Girl Realness seeps through the narration

imagine Jing yuan interrogating you. he gets told that you're scared of felines and decides to bring mimi. but oh, how wrong he was. the lion adores you. the moment it steps inside the interrogation room, it's rubbing itself against your legs. you're no better. you're playing with the lion like it was a house cat. it was impossible to deny though, the scene was adorable. it warmed the general's heart a bit and if someone looked closely, they could see his lips curling up into a smile.
