youre so right for your ultrakill sound design thoughts, the way heavens structure and hierarchy is set up is such a clean, organized set up, with the design and how they sound doubling down on that
i've never seen anything like ultrakill's world.
the way it sets up its structures and ecosystems. you have husks and you have demons and you have machines and you have angels.
biblical tragedy and political drama.
ultrakill's world is a Character. and i was saying that shit before we knew hell was alive.
ultrakill's world is a character and i'd love to get to know them better

Squandered resources is a powerful card with a powerful effect. I am actually shocked that this card flew under the radar for as long as it did especially since there was a blog, site, or other form of media that carried the name squandered resources. The card was actually under a dollar until the end of 2016 so there was a time since prices were formally recorded that you could have picked up this card for absolute bulk prices. If every good card on the reserved list has been picked dry and there is nothing left to speculate on then how do you explain squandered resources being 60 cents less than ten years ago? Did no one see the potential in a 2 mana ramp card that is also a free sacrifice outlet. There are many decks that want lands in the graveyard or can easily recur lands so a free sacrifice engine is absolutely paramount for those decks to function. Zuran orb and sylvan safekeeper are cheaper options but redundancy is important and this offers the effect on an enchantment. The payoff is also stronger. Never underestimate extra mana even at the cost of a resource especially if you can easily get the resource back or you are using that sacrifice to you advantage. Many decks can make excellent use of squandered resources in their combos. The gitrog monster, muldrotha the gravetide, and lord windgrace decks all benefit from having lands enter the graveyard and can put them right back into play. Even so, the number of commander decks that use this card on edhrec is astonishingly low. I would think any landfall deck that utilizes combos that sacrifice all lands only to bring them back with aftermath analyst or world shaper would need to use squandered resources. Very few cards let you sac all your lands in a single turn and leave you mana positive but squandered resources has combos and synergies. The card was five bucks after 2016 and reached almost 20 dollars during the initial buyout of 2018. By 2021 the card was about seventy five dollars as a all time high. So why is the cars going up now? Why is there a renewed interest on a reserved list card that has spiked a number of times? In short, the necrobloom. The necrobloom is the second strongest commander released in modern horizons 3. A little birdy can tell you what the strongest commander in the set is. The necrobloom is also highly competitive and is potentially cedh. The card wants lands in the graveyard to dredge and some decks have a land in graveyard theme. Is it any wonder that squandered resources can fit into a necrobloom cedh deck? Desert decks and a jund graveyard commander deck also got a boost in 2024 so it was a good year for squandered resources. Currently, the card is approaching fifty dollars. That is higher than in 2018 but I do not think it will reach its market high. However, this has become a soft staple in necrobloom decks, appearing in over 20 percent of decks. That deck is competitively viable, popular, and new so I think squandered resources will probably hold onto a higher price tag for the foreseeable future. Will it go back down when the hype dies or will you have to squander your resources getting a copy of this card?

I'm a TTRPG designer, and also a big fan of the video game Terraria. I'm stuck on fun ways to handle material gathering and crafting. Send me some inspiration! Thanks!
THEME: Gathering and Crafting
Hello friend! Putting this one together was very fun. I hope you enjoy it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stoneburner, by Fari RPGs.
Stoneburner is a sci-fantasy solo-friendly demon-hunting community-building tabletop role-playing game.Inspired by the new school revolution movement, players take on the role of a group of dwarves who must assume control of a demon haunted mine, along with its accompanying settlement, which they inherited after the death of their distant relative. The game focuses on the dwarves' journey as they navigate the challenges of their new responsibilities, rebuild a new thriving community, and clear the mine of its fire spitting monsters.
A techno-fantasy game of exploration and survival. You’ll be delving into a mine to extract resources and attempting to maintain and protect your community not just from magical beasts, but also greedy and plotting rivals. The system is built on Breathless, which is pretty rules-lite on the face but has a lot of possibility to expand, borrowing quite a bit from the NSR but giving the GM specific cues where they have a license to complicate the story. You’ll find a lot of familiar pieces here, with character classes, special abilities, and loot tables. Stoneburner isn’t fully ready to be published quite yet, but in the meantime you can check out the free preview!
Hostile (Rules and Setting), by Zozer Games.
Welcome to the gritty, retro-future universe of HOSTILE. Based on the Cepheus Engine, these rules add in realistic combat rules as well as setting-specific rules from some of the eighteen HOSTILE supplements. When combined with its companion book, the HOSTILE Setting, you will have a complete, stand-alone, retro-future sci-fi game. HOSTILE is a gritty, near future roleplaying setting that is inspired by movies like Outland, Bladerunner and Alien. It is a universe of mining installations, harsh moons, industrial facilities, hostile planets and brutal, utilitarian spacecraft.
When I looked up info about this game, HOSTILE was described as not an ALIEN RPG, but rather an RPG that you could plug Alien into. It’s a space horror setting, but what kind of space horror is up to you. The Rulebook has rules on trade, salvaging, and other pieces of resource management, while the setting book contains construction rules for your own mega-ton spaceship. There’s also plenty of colonies, survival rules, campaign advice and encounter tables. If this is interesting to you, I’d recommend checking out the Double Shift Bundle, which offers both the Rulebook and the Setting Book for 20% off.
Forbidden Lands, by Free League Publishing.
Forbidden Lands is a new take on classic fantasy roleplaying. In this open-world survival roleplaying game, you’re not heroes sent on missions dictated by others - instead, you are raiders and rogues bent on making your own mark on a cursed world. You will discover lost tombs, fight terrible monsters, wander the wild lands and, if you live long enough, build your own stronghold to defend.
As raiders and rogues, in Forbidden Lands you will need to scavenge to survive. Built on Free League’s Year Zero Engine, this game uses an abstract resource called consumables which your characters will have to find regularly, because food goes bad and you can only carry so many things. The game focuses on the dangers of the road, although not all dangers are terrifying - you’re not fighting orcs all the time - sometimes you’re just battling mosquitoes and cold weather. There’s also rules about building, maintaining, and defending a stronghold, which sounds kind of similar to building and defending your house in Terraria. There’s a lot to keep track of in Forbidden Lands, and as long as you don’t mind playing characters with a somewhat loose moral compass, this game might be for you!
A Fistful of Darkness, by monkeyEcho.
A Fistful of Darkness is a Weird West Fantasy hack of Blades in the Dark with heavy emphasis on the fantasy part. It’s not intended to be an accurate history lesson or a simulation of past times. It is designed to be a cinematic game which lets you play all those Weird West tropes towards the end of the world.
Imagine a world with the magic and mystery of the frontier: wide open plains of the Old Wild West in all its beauty and madness, where violence and sacrifice dominate every single day. Now add the Hellstone rush, underground mayhem in mines and brand new sciences & machines. Don’t forget immigration, injustice, vigilante justice, outlaws, gunslingers, slick talkers and setting suns. This all in the face of an impending doom: Demons and the four riders bringing the end of the world as you know it. How do you make it to the top of this powder keg, which side will you take in the impending war and how much will your soul suffer? Let’s play to find out!
Forged in the Dark games abstract your resources a bit, but the Hellstone of A Fistful of Darkness is so important to the setting that you’ll find yourselves doing whatever you can to get your hands on it. It’s a crafting material, it’s currency, and it’s the bringer of mutations and curses, what with it being a demonic material and all. Because you’ll be running a group playbook alongside your own characters, you’ll be working together to improve your tools, allies, abilities and home base, especially if you choose the Scavengers Posse. If you like action and suspense as much as you like inventory and communal goals, then this game is for you.
LOOT, by Gila RPGs.
Do you love loot? Then you're in the right place.
Go on quests, find loot, do it all over again. Your character is entirely defined by the loot they wear and carry. Loot is generated and passed out at the end of each quest with a dynamic loot pool system.
This is an application of the LUMEN system that eschews dice. Players have a number of uses for each of their approaches, which can be spent to overcome obstacles. Complications arise when you have to cobble together a solution using a different approach, or when you avoid marking an approach at all. This is a game still in a free playtest, so the designer is happy to hear feedback if you decide to give it a whirl!

Confession: The first time i played Skyrim, I didn't realize you could pay carriage drivers to take you to hold capitals. So I tried walking/jumping in a straight line (because I was too lazy to follow the actual paths and somehow thought this would be faster? I don't know) from Whiterun to Riften. I actually got really far but I slipped off a cliff and died and my last save was way back in Whiterun. Needless to say I learned from this. (Sometimes I do still jump up mountains instead of taking roads tho.)

ok. tragically separated wwi era vampire twins.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
#seabirds.txt#seabirds.art#mystery twins#gemeos do misterio#q!bagi#q!cellbit#qsmp#i did research 1920s era clothing for this but i based a lot of it off of their mc skins.#cellbit is a sailor turned vampire who ended up in europe during wwi after fighting naval battles at sea and never came home#bagi becomes a journalist to find him and stumbles across vampires along the way not realizing he had become a vampire too#design notes: this all started off of bagi's newsboy cap which was popular in the 1920s with working men. i put her in men's pants because#wanted to give this energy of working a job traditionally not worked by women at the time. <- women started campaigning to work as#journalists notably around the late 1800s and early 1900s (at least in the us and some european countries (couldnt find info on brazil))#i was thinking of nellie bly when thinking of what bagi would be doing in this au! she also has a bandana to hide her neck where her vampir#bite would be and a hanky for blood clean up. perhaps something from home. cellbit is not concerned with hiding his own neck. he's just#wearing a dress shirt LOL. i feel like cellbit would be fully embracing his vampiric tendencies at this point and a part of more vampire#society than human while for bagi it would be the other way around (she's still looking for him in the human world using vampire resources)#that is why he is so bloodstained. i feel like in his free time he would be freelancing detective work for other vampires maybe to gather u#favors or something similar. he's a little bit fancy because of this but still casual enough that there's no suit involved.

Idk how universal this is maybe it’s because my mom was a teen mom and I grew up in an area where unplanned pregnancy / lack of access to reproductive healthcare was a big issue, but I feel like there has to be a way to talk to teenagers about safer sex and pregnancy that doesn’t make you feel guilty and bad when you do decide to have a family.
Like, in the mid 2000s there was also all this fear mongering about teens getting pregnant on purpose / making “pregnancy pacts” and I feel like my sex ed was like “even if you think you want to have kids right now you don’t actually” which… was probably true if any middle and high schoolers wanted that but 1) genuinely don’t believe that any actually did 2) I feel like reality checks can be given in a way that aren’t “I know you better than you know yourself” 3) if a teenager gets pregnant, no matter how accidental or on purpose it was, it’s still their body and their child and denying them agency in making such important decisions about that is extremely cruel and unjust.
Anyway now I’m 30 and I still feel like I’m going to be scolded for wanting to have kids. When I went to my doctor to talk about it, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I’d be told that I wasn’t mature enough and that I was being silly and would ruin my life. I’m still nervous about my family’s reaction. Because it’s not like the magic age of being 18 changes people’s thoughts on it, and there’s no defined point when someone is “grown up” enough to make these kind of decisions. And it is so cultural and context dependent - on the other side of my family where people have kids in their early and mid 20s I’m basically an old maid and people give me sad looks and say “don’t worry … someday it could still happen.” But even on that side of the family, pregnancy announcements are usually met with skepticism and negativity.
It seems like no matter what the norms around it are, there’s a message of undercutting the notion that people should make decisions for themselves, and it is multiplied as the person is marginalized.

Where do you find people to tickle you? Or places where people can tickle you.. I live in Scotland and I can’t find anywhere!
Tumblr media
Unfortunately it can be hit or miss depending on where you live! Some areas have really active kink communities, some just seem to have no one.
With access to the internet, we can connect with people from all over the world who share this interest! A lot of us do have to travel to play and be part of the in-person scene, it may be something you have to consider too. Tickle gatherings (like NEST) are great places to meet other tickle lovers in-person, though it can be pricy with travel and room expenses. Us in Canada could fly down to a gathering, though we prefer to drive, and that can be 8 hours depending on where we are driving to!
Tickling Media Forum (TMF) is the original tickle hub, and is still active today! There is a Personals section where you can search by location. Tickle gatherings and munches get posted there too!
Fetlife is similar but for general kink. You can search by location, find play parties and munches, and join tickling groups!
r/tickling on Reddit is also great for connecting with other tickle lovers! They do a monthly personals page where you can post an ad!
tklmap lets you place a pin on where you live, and find others in your area! I’ve heard some success stories with tklmap!
X / Twitter has a tickle community too! I’m not active there at all, but I think it’s pretty big!
Discord has many tickling Servers, and pretty much most of the tickle gatherings have their own Servers. These are great for connecting with the in-person scene, people who are going to the gathering, information on the gathering, and potentially being invited to private gatherings! NEST’s Discord Server is public, and is a great hub for North American tickle gatherings, parties, and munches!
