Cause I don't have an account and I've been looking through it on the browser but I only really find a few posts, meanwhile you seem to have an entire mine 😂 I wonder if there's really a difference or if there's something else I'm unaware of...

No, I don't have a weibo account. I use a website (computer is more optimal for managing files). As for the rest I may have some tips ✨

1. Basic navigating tips (I've learnt it like a lab monkey, by pushing buttons, idk chinese): #音乐剧时光代理人# is the tag for LC musical. 2 last tabs on a left matter the most. The play button is tab with videos, first filter (the orange one) is for most popular, the other is for most recent.

The one below play button, a photo, is for pictures. They show from the most recent ones and I think you can scroll through them freely.

*For more convenient browsing and a chance to find extra photos that weren't properly tagged I recommend visiting profiles that posted the pics.

*second tab, the speech bubble one, is for discussion I think, it's sometimes useful for audience reviews etc.

2. If you don't have an acc weibo limits your access to older videos (message belows tells you to sign in to see more)

So I visit this tab just to check if anything interesting happened in the most recent play.

3. Bilibili doesn't seem to limit your access to older content, so for browsing videos use the #音乐剧时光代理人# on Bilibili. You can google translate the website to figure out the layout options, then go back to chinese ver (you must view original ver for clips to show up) and explore from there.

*Tbh I don't keep up with the videos much bc it's all the encore from different days. If anything big happens I learn about it from the photos, then look for the clips from that particular performance.

4. Check @接着奏乐接着舞Musicals (official profile of the musical's company). They post summary clips and photos from the play as well as cast announcements.

5. Check the actors' weibo accounts. A post where I tag and link to all of main trio actors. THIS IS IMPORTANT (my secret of having 200+ pics of LG & CXS actors). I'll use Cai Qi's acc as an example:

a) Go on their weibo.

b) Copy and paste their weibo tag into the search bar.

c) Look for a post with photos of them (can be from other play, doesn't matter)

d) THIS! We're looking for this diamond-shaped tag symbol 🔍

e) Click it and you're home 😌:

f) (ok I have no idea what IS this diamond tag) BUT it looks like a verified vip account, that not all people can tag. I suspect it's something like 'pay to tag your idol'/'highlight my post to a tagged person' twitter subscription kind of thing idk. Edit: It's a person-specific tag, like #, not direct @. What matters is that it has ALL hardcore stans in one place, posting videos, fancams and photos of that one specific actor in chronological from most recent order. Sadly it also limits non-users to newer posts only.

g) For clips with the actor go to the second tab on the top.

h) Third tab is for images. You can browse through the minatures but won't be able to enlarge them without the acc. So go back to the first tab, scroll, find yourself a batch that you haven't seen before, like here and visit OP's profile. It's the most probable to stumble upon a theatre kid who's already been to the LC musical, so you can find more content on there.

i) Scroll until you find the post with photos, click one of them, and then the highlighted option to access the highest quality image aand there you have it ✨

j) If you scroll and reach a user-only limit without finding the post you saw under the vip tag, there's a roundabout way to this >>

k) Scroll back up, and go to the last tab. It's the image albums tab. Look for the album with the theatre/actor photos. It seems the albums have no recency limit, you can see older posts without weibo acc.

(I feel kinda creepy for digging through people's profiles, but I swear weibo seems public like twitter and I have a tunnel vision to find LC content only)

So that was probably a core difference by the way I look for these things ><' Hopefully I explained it well enough. The biggest disadvanages of this method is you're still able to access only the most recent posts. That's why I made bookmarks to check them everyday.

Another thing is that not all actors in LC musical cast have a well established stan community who would post in the vip tag. They mostly do, but actors like Du Guangyi, Cai Qi, Teng Chunpeng, Zhang Jiahao, Wu Yihan or Wang Minhui tend to overshadow the rest by a sheer amount of fan pictures :'>

technically theyre two subunits, Adam and Eve, and they combine to create Eden. Eve is the two on the left, while Adam is the two on the right. I'm not gonna mention the characters but oh my goddd they sure are! characters! Eden was the antagonists for the second half of the anime. Their songs are kinda more rocky and very risque which is funny considering the biblical allegories

Valkyrie! The best unit ever!

Their aesthetic is a very steampunk one and they have a very unique sound i love love love their songs. theyre all very artistic and not at all idol like

Their style is the most electro of the units its like synth pop. The pink one is Hinata and the blue one is Yuuta theyre literally the trans colors

It’s 11/11, make a wish! Well, hmm, let’s see...I wish for concerts to come back sooner rather than later, that’s for sure! And so, apparently does Ticketmaster: in the face of a possible COVID vaccine, Ticketmaster is changing concert going policy to include new requirements for concert attendees. After buying a ticket, you will have to verify that you’ve either been vaccinated or tested negative for COVID in the 72 hours leading up to the event. You send the test result to a third party company which would confirm the health status to Ticketmaster; TM says they will not have access to other medical information and that the info will be securely encrypted. Okay, look. I can’t wait to get concerts back, right? But registry lists and the issues of privacy and demonizing that come along with that are going to become a big part of the landscape around COVID in the years to come, and this is part of a larger picture. However badly we want concerts back, let's keep an eye on all the privacy policies and implications: historically, registry lists have NEVER been a good thing for the people that are on them.

Harry, psychically foreseeing the discourse about Larry baiting and wanting to defend his title as Larry Baiter Supreme against the always fierce competition from Louis, put on his Blue Bandana and headed out to be Seen recently (hopefully before he went into quarantine!). He paired the much discussed hankie with a bright orange button down with lacey white patterns on it, his cross necklace and pearls, some sunglasses, a black mask, and a single surgical glove on his right hand. Despite the odd conglomeration of Styles, I'd definitely call this a better look than the pastel joggers and walrus hoodie he was wearing last week! She says that she names every single one she makes and that Harry bought ‘the Crying Seahorse’, which is decorated with - you guessed it! - crying seahorses (also butterflies and seagulls, all inlaid in gold, blue, and green), which was inspired by an experience with unrequited love. Harry thought it had a “soulful history” and liked the sound, and bought it alongside four more, including an adorable one that looked like a tuxedo. So let’s talk about, um, seahorses for a second (that’s not something you expected me to say today right?): seahorses ARE fish, and they are one of the few kinds of fish that are fiercely monogamous - they mate for life.  Liam came back with some more watercolor rats, and they’re all really cute! This one is a brown and white one with a pen and ink outline and filled in with watercolors, adorably chewing its own tail. He says “ watercolors are now my fave” and “think rats are becoming a thing too.” And! He got on a zoom call with fans earlier this morning. What fans? How? Dunno, but it's probably the same thing as last time we saw this, when fans who had bought the most expensive LP Show bundle tickets got Zoom M&G calls. He asked one fan if she liked the “story driven” aspect of the Halloween show, and she told him his acting was great. To that, he replied, “that’s because it wasn’t acting. About 90% of the time, I just didn’t know what was going on - though that could be because I don’t read my emails”. Me too, friend! He also wrote a ‘thank you’ to military members and their families and friends on his instagram for Armistice Day. Celebtm continues to larrie bait and use Louis’ name for clout without any involvement from him. People, please, they’re not doing anyone any favors, and they’re certainly not helping Louis. Let’s just ignore them and they’ll go away - it’s certainly what I’m trying to do! Louis liked Liam Gallagher’s post about his on the river “Why Me? Why Not” boat concert, which will be on the 5th of December, and *I* learned that you could resize pictures within your instagram story, which is useful, because it tells me that I know NOTHING about whether a story pic was taken in the app or is from the camera roll: Louis’ picture from yesterday, for example, could have been either. Niall is going to be on the Late Late Show tonight with Ashe, and he posted a picture of them in the Royal Albert Hall in Gucci! Niall is wearing a mustard yellow jumpsuit (no, not something I thought I’d be writing about, either) and Ashe is barefoot in the same golden Gucci golden overcoat Harry has. Honestly, what a mood! Look, they’re such a dynamic duo but if they don’t perform more than one song together tonight then HONESTLY what even IS THE POINT!!! (I know, I know, but consider this: an Ashe/Niall cover of ‘Seeing Blind’. I would literally die.)

Chapter 1

It's hot outside.

Blood and dead bodies occupy the only decent shade. A trail of blood leads to the forest. It's created by Scouts dragging soldiers away by the straps of their boots. Grains of sand are crushed under Rapture's feet as they shift in the sand. He's been acting off since that morning, thinking of something else.

"Where did the furniture come from?" I ask.

In front of us, under the second floor of a three hundred year old building, sits worn down, used dressers, cabinets, and beds against broken and crumbled down walls.

"Probably from one of the traders" he responds.

One of the traders…

I'm impressed. All I own is a rusty mattress and a romance novel I kept when I was captured. These people managed to sneak in an entire dining room set with a working kitchen and chairs. Whoever did this has to work for Imports.

"I want you to come with me," Rapture says suddenly, dragging his fingers over the sides of his mouth.

Rapture is quite scary when you first meet him. His head is shaped like a human skull with hard features extruding from the back. His eyeballs are black just like mine, but he has golden lizard-like irises. After you get to know him, tough, he has a charm. A very sarcastic charm.

Without another word, he starts walking off. Adjusting my gun, I follow him. Angel does, too. The gear makes it hard to tell the difference between us. The only way to identify a Scout is by our bodies. Each species has a different body structure. Especially the legs. Since Angel is the same species as me, we have very similar forms. We both have thick female legs with no feet and big Canals. Compared to humans, our torsos are quite masculine.

Apparently, my big identifier is hips. I have thick thighs. It's true. I can crush a man's head between them, but the observation still feels somewhat perverse. Soldiers make similar comments towards Angel.

Lieutenant Bade, Angel, and I are Rapture's bodyguards. We follow the General around while he does his duties. It's not the most exciting job in the world, but Rapture is the best swordsman on the planet. No one messes with him. It is a safe, cushion position compared to the conditions other soldiers lived in.

"Angel, could you leave us? I want to talk to Siren alone," Rapture says.

We both look at each other. Angel steps back, not sure what to do. It takes a second for him to join the other Scouts.

I follow Rapture into the forest. After a while, it becomes grey. The pale, thin trees cover the bright sky. We walk for hours back to a part of camp I have never seen before. This is dangerous, I thought, for the two of us to be out here alone. However, whatever part of the forest this is, no one visited.

In the distance I see a small wooden cabin between an assortment of tree trunks. It has to belong to a General. No one else is allowed housing. The lights are off for the dusty building, though. We keep walking for another ten minutes, and arrive at an even bigger house -- a small, one bedroom home. Just like the rest of the planet, the exterior looks like old, American human architecture. On RubenDies, you can probably find a house like this for super cheap in a bad part of town, but here -- well, I have never seen anything like it.

Rapture grabs the door handle and yanks it open. The door stutters releasing dust and plant pores into the air. I am careful to breathe it in. He enters.

Dark inside, I can barely see the living room from the front door. Cautiously, I step inside. A thick smell overwhelms me. It's not a bad smell, but it's potent. Like someone lived here for a long time.

Both the living room and kitchen are small. Sun seeps through the closed blinds onto a rusty, old pale, orange refrigerator. The cabinets are dirty -- crusted. A small wooden dining table sits in front of it. There are more than one chair. Multiple people live here. Lived here -- I should say.

"Where are we?" I ask.

Rapture doesn't respond. He just walks between the dining room and living room towards a bedroom in the back. It's the only thing that lit up the hallway. My footsteps are unbelievably heavy on the wooden floors. I don't think Scouts are intended to be in here. The bedroom itself feels frozen in time. Nothing has been touched in years. There are still dirty clothes laying on a white bed sitting in the center of the room. Dust has collected on all of the wooden furniture. There's a couple nightstands and a dresser.

I'm scared to touch anything.

This doesn't bother Rapture at all. He grabs one of the drawers and opens it. After rummaging around, Rapture pulls out a stack of thick, white, plastic paper. He gives them to me, and I realize they're photos. Very small, rectangle photos. Each one is stained with dirt and muck. It's hard to tell what they consist of. The helmet makes it even harder. Rapture talks to me as I look through them, my eyes trying to make out vague shapes and sizes.

Each one shows a very attractive, young man that's the same species as me.

Most of the species outside of the Milky Way don't have names. We found no reason. It wasn't until the Human Reformation that it changed. Humans got confused by our lack of categorization, and decided to introduce a naming system. So, for clarity sake, I'll call our species BSBE.

The young man sits on a hotel bed, arched forward. A gaudy, geometric tattoo covers his sickly, gray, toned back. There are dog tags hanging from his neck. In each photo he is wearing different tank tops. In this one, it's white.

"Zerethus had a son. He escaped ten years ago," Rapture explains.

Oh, I see. I know who Zerethus's son is. Who didn't? The female camp whispered daily about him after his escape. By the time I made it to the male camp, the rumors had died down, however. All I know is that Cain isn't liked very much, and that he is permanent with most of the female camp.

In the second photo, he sits in a swimming pool, shirtless. It's at a wealthy establishment. The orange walls of the fancy hotel reflect off the blue, crystal water. It gave some color to Cain's dull skin.

"Zerethus has been looking for him ever since," Raptures continues as I shift to the next photo.

Cain is smoking a cigarette. He is maybe twelve or thirteen years old. A train of smoke trails to the sky. His expression is calm. Happy.

"I want you to find him before Zerethus does," he says.

My hand freezes. I heard his words clearly, but stammer.

"You want me to find Cain," I ask confused.

"Yes. Is that a problem?"

When the soldiers brought me to Edeon, they asked me for my gender. Stupidly, I said female, and was thrown into the female camp. From that day on, my life was shit until I got kicked out. Edeon doesn't like women. They never did, and my presence in female housing left a mark. Everyone knows I lived there. Everyone remembers.

I want to object. Ask him questions.

"No, sir," I respond instead, cowardly.

I would send anyone on this mission but me. The Generals are some of the best fighters in the galaxy. They're trained to search and find targets. As a Scout, I am also trained to do this as well, but I am nowhere near as talented. Finding Cain would be a high profile mission. Only the best of the best would be put on it. I am not the best.

Send Dante. Or Felix. Or Moon. Angel. Reaper. Hades. Pain. Cerberus. Vnux. Serpen. Dalen. Gabriel. Michael. Archer. Rion. Tarli Nobi. Th'Aman. Brani. Xani. Kreniea. A'Zule. Feri/ Q'Urlid. Achan. Meni.

Literally anyone but me.

"Who is my lieutenant?" I ask.

Every soldier gets a lieutenant when sent off the planet. They watch over the group. Make sure everything goes according to plan. If he picked anyone to go with me, he would pick Bade. Bade is pretty good. He'd make up for my lack of skill.

"You are," he obviously lies.

My mouth falls open, "What?"

No, I wasn't. This is the biggest bullshit I have ever heard. First of all, there hasn't been a new lieutenant in over ten years. Second, the only women of power on Edeon are Lieutenant Reaper and General Mourning. No one even knows how they got promoted. Third, if I was promoted, I would be promoted by Zerethus himself. So, something is very fishy.

Rapture cups his hands, and smiles.

"The mission is simple. Give Cain a message. The Devil is looking for his son. He wants to cut off his wings. He'll know what that means."

"Where is he?" I ask.

I remember that I still have the photos dangling in my hands. While he continues, I look at the next one. Now, Cain has his arm draped over Angel's opal, white shoulders. Huh. That's weird. In our species' culture we don't touch each other, but they seem chummy. Either Cain is straight as fuck or they were in a relationship. Bold for him to have this photo as a part of his collection. All homosexuals get killed on this planet. There isn't a warning. It happens suddenly, and mercilessly.

"The Luminary. He works for an agency called The Eye. Goes by Hayze Redborn. Was put on a mission recently to find an Alex Hall. Code name Aex. He's a super hacker."

Cain is butt naked in the next photo. It's in the same room as we are standing in now. He's maybe eighteen. Every detail of his muscles subtly defined, his body is gorgeous. Due to the pose, and moody lighting, this is definitely a selfie. Luckily, the photo cuts off at his penis, but you can still see the top of the shaft. I laugh. Why would you take a photo like this on Edeon? We don't have Be-book. There are no dating profiles or blog posts.

"If you catch Aex, Hayze may follow," Rapture says.

The last photo is the worst. It's just his dick.

I roll my eyes. How many women did he try to show this to? Knowing his reputation, he probably sent this to multiple. It's girthy. Long. Blood rushes under his skin creating purple. His skin is smooth. There are only a few faint veins. The top is round and soft. There is no color difference between the tip of his penis and the base, outside of some discoloration. He has a pretty penis. I have to give him that.

"Siren," Rapture scolds venomously and grabs the photo from my hand. He rips it in pieces and then slams it into the dresser.

Oh, shit.

I don't think he knew that was in there.

My hand hangs loosely from where the photo once was. Scared, eyes fixating on him, he's mad. After a moment, he brings his hand to his face and makes a loud sigh. He takes out another sheet of paper from his pocket. This one looked like it was printed off an old printer. It's very faded. It is a much more recent picture of Cain. Cain is much older, and worn down. In the old photos, he is vibrant and active. Here he is dead inside.

His skin is a very healthy baby blue. The black that consumed his eyeballs is clear, and not glossy. A couple other things are off about his appearance, but otherwise Hayze and Cain are identical. Over his shoulders he wore a deep, aqua blue coat. It had a very nice, faintly, shiny, textured material. Under it, he wore a black shirt similar to the ones he wore when he was younger. His dog tags could be seen through his fabric.

Behind him, a short, gray-ish brown overweight being stands at a podium wearing a nice, trim suit. His species is a cousin of Rapture's. They look very similar, but this species has more than two eyes. The overweight being has the appearance of a government official. A banner hangs behind him. It's a symbol I feel like I should recognize.

"What happens after I tell him the message?" I ask.

Devilish Acid Doomers LáGoon Reveal The “Father of Death”

Some days you just need a good swift kick in the pants to get the week going. Portland acid doomers LAGOON got you covered with 'Father of Death' (2020). It's the band's second album so far this year, marking an especially prolific period for the Portland band. Hell, we just got through reviewing and debuting 'Maa Kali Trip' (2020) back in March. Indeed, the band reminds us, "There aren’t rules to this shit, despite what anyone may tell you. We figure, release the music as you make it. Two full lengths in 3 months, why not?" You won't hear any objections coming from this end, fellas.

The new spin also witnesses LáGoon’s core transformation from duo to trio, something which has obvious ramifications for their sound. Featured on this effort is bassest Ignacio De Tommaso of Luciferica, and Argentinian band we heaved profuse praise upon during a recent episode of The Doomed & Stoned Show. "Same skate rat doom sound," LaGoon assures fans, "just in louder form."

The bass is the first thing that hits us with a wallop straight away in the title track. When I learned that Doomed & Stoned's tireless Portland photographer Stephanie Savenkoff was likewise immersing herself in the new LáGoon album, I asked if I could share her notes. "Great fuzzy beginning," she observes. "Repetitive and trancey." The song appears to be about a godlike figure who holds the power of death in his long, boney hands. Singer Anthony Gaglia personifies him with appropriate dramatics. "Love that sneer!" Stephanie adds "Reminds me of Billy Corgan."

"Resuscitation" by contrast is "stripped down" with a "peaceful opening. Simple but moving." Were I to match the music with a narrative, it would be of someone awakening from a near-death experience -- or simply from blacking out, as I once did in a local grocery store (took down a whole shelf of Gatorade with me, too). Waking up from that otherwise peaceful step out of consciousness was a blurry, surreal ordeal. Soon, the unreality of it all came flooding back and I struggled to make sense of the events leading up to it. I imagine this is doubly so in the case of an NDE. Thus, we move from the serene to the stormy as the patient is resuscitated. Stephanie notes its "surfy center, energizing," and hints at Spanish rhythms with one final word: "Bandito!"

A "simple, mellow riff" begins "Bloodied Mouth," then "builds and intensifies," Stephanie suggests, offering us a "cool spark at the end." I can't help loving that Brady Maurer rhythm. His drumming makes this fundamental rock 'n' roll, the kind you wanna really twist to -- LaGoon's trademark menacing twist, that is.

Speaking of all things sinister, "Broken Oath," is "creepy and funereal" Stephanie says, an atmosphere conjured in no small part by guest keyboardist Adam Scott of Thunderbird Divine, who makes effective use of the Mellotron. We also hear, I believe, two sets of vocals, which I'm fairly certain is Ignacio De Tommaso's or one of his compadres.

"Soft, sweet, gentle, intense, beautiful, dark." Those were the words that converged with Stephanie's stream of consciousness for "Stab & Cut." Lyrically, it feels full of alienation and the need to protect oneself from the many enemies of happiness, some of which are more insistent than others in taking away our roadmap. Thankfully, there's still that trusty van to get us over the winds and dips of the road ahead.

As we might expect from an album conceived in quarantine, parts were recorded separately by various members of the band during lockdown, then mixed and mastered by Anthony himself. I'd say he did a damn fine job of it, with the usual low-fi ethic in play.

Just approaching 4 years!

Hellll yeah.

It’s been a good run!

What was the last show you played before the Great Lockdown of 2020?

Took me a second to remember it’s been so long! Our last gig was March 6th alongside fellow PNWers Grim Earth, Sorcia, and Ravine!

Right on. I think Stephanie Savenkoff may have been there to snap some pics that night.

She was, indeed; always great to see her at our shows!

You've got some big things happening this month, right?

We do! Our last album, MAA KALI TRIP, has finally made its way out of the record plant (pusher back due to Covid) so this Friday it will be available for purchase, and then the Friday after that we’ll be releasing our new album Father of Death!

Listening to that opening track on ‘Father of Death’ (2020) you can tell something is different. The bass just jumps out at you with bold ferocity! You’ve got a new member? Please introduce us.

Hell yeah! The man behind that thunderous tone on the record is Ignacio De Tommaso of the band Luciferica. Ignacio and I have been collaborating on some music for the past few months, so when it came time to lay down bass on the record he was the perfect man for the job!

What was it like to jam with a third person after being a duo for so long?

Refreshing! At first being in a two piece was great because I had just left a 5 piece band, and that was a headache. But after being the two of us for a while, it feels great to have someone else on board so I can play some solos and overall broaden what I can get away with playing!

Do you feel any urgency to expand your number in real life when the bars and concert halls open up again along the West Coast?

Definitely. I want to start playing these new songs in their entirety as soon as things open up. I really feel like this album is the new sound of LáGoon, and I’d hate to step backwards for live shows.

How would you describe LaGoon’s core sound and approach to heavy music?

It’s hard for me to describe, but I think the most important piece of LáGoon’s sound is that we’re really not concerned with fitting under one particular label. We all listen to a variety of music, and I think that comes through in the music. Our biggest concern is keeping things fun and fresh for us, and we’ve just been blessed that some people seem to really dig it!

What styles of music would you say you draw the most inspiration from?

Those are constantly changing, but going into this album I was listening to a lot of 90s bands like Sonic Youth, The Pixies, The Melvins, and The Butthole Surfers. Which are bands I come back to time and time again. There’s something about the music that was made in the late '80s to early '90s that has a ‘I don’t give a fuck’ rawness to it. Anything that sounds like it was labored over isn’t the vibe for me.

Is it just me or do I feel a kind of chill surfer vibe thing going on, too? It's probably just me.

You’re not wrong! I think that comes from the type of people we are, or the amount of weed I consume haha. It’s pretty hard to get any of us upset, and so I think that there’s definitely elements of that in our music.

Right on. How have the last 3-4 months of shutdown and lockdown affected you and the people around you?

It was pretty hectic at first. I haven’t been working since the shutdown, so financially it’s definitely been a struggle. My mom and sister are both nurses as well so it’s been pretty scary to hear about all the madness in their hospitals. Overall, I’m happy to be living in the city and state I’m living in. Everyone I know has taken it seriously and that’s refreshing!

That's awesome to hear. Well, on a positive note, maybe take a few moments to tell us about the new album and walk us through all five tracks?

Would love to! This album largely came about because of all the free time I’ve had over the quarantine. As we mentioned before this is our first album as a three piece. I made that decision going into the album, so most of the tracks feature guitar solos and other elements we couldn’t pull off as a two piece.

FATHER OF DEATH

"Father of Death" is the first track on the record and the title track for the album. It sets the pace for the album with a driving tempo and the introduction of the bass as part of our sound. The song is about the grim reaper, a character that regularly surfaced in LáGoon songs.

RESUSCITATION

"Resuscitation" is the song that is just that for this band. It’s the first song of ours that couldn’t be played without the bass, and brings a new life and sound to the band. It’s also one of our longest songs and has multiple tempo changes.

BROKEN OATH

"Broken Oath" features another friend and label mate of ours Adam Scott of the band Thunderbird Divine on keys and melotron. This is one of the heavier songs on the album, and tells the story of a man cheating on his wife with a prostitute.

BLOODIED MOUTH

"Bloodied Mouth" is the most danceable of the album. This song was written at the beginning of the COVID crisis when everything first shut down. I felt a little beat down, and this song is what came out.

STAB & CUT

"Stab & Cut" is probably the furthest from any of the other songs we’ve written. I wrote it as an acoustic guitar song years ago and had forgotten about it. For some reason I played it on my electric guitar one day while I was recording other songs for the album and it brought new life to it.

Cool, thanks for sharing that! What instruments and gear are you working with these days?

I’ve had the same Orange CR120 head and Marshall 4x12 since the formation of the band! For a short period I was playing split through that and a bass amp, but now that we’re a three piece I’m back down to the Orange through the 4x12 and I have one distortion pedal that I more or less just use as boost. We’re lucky enough to have a deal with Baxter guitars so that’s all I play and we’re hoping to get a Baxter bass on stage soon!

First Coronavirus, then Lockdown, Recession, and Social Unrest. Any predictions on what the second half of 2020 holds in store?

I have no idea, but what I hope for is serious social reform at the federal level, a new fuckin’ president, and the return of live music. I may be asking for too much though. (laughs)

Sounds like you're just itching to get back on stage again and belt out these new tunes for a real live audience!

Absolutely! My wife is getting sick of hearing me play by myself! (laughs)

Had a dream where my sister wanted soda so I went in small kiosk to go get her one small bottle. However there was no any of them, but there was this six-pack of small yellow soda bottles. I took it. There was older Chinese man behind the cash register, speaking bad Finnish. However he said “6 euros” so I gave him 20e since I didn’t think I had enough coins to give him as 6 euros. He took my 20 euros, but gave me nothing bad. It was suspicious, but to get my money back I said to him; “Let me see if I have that 6 euros.” I had 5 euros as a bill so I looked my coin “pocket” in my wallet. There was some small cents and, much for my surprise, there was small wooden amulets / items. One of them looked like a child’s toy, one of them was some sort of pacifier, but the one - what I liked the most - was round and wide wooden bracelet (obviously too small for me) and it had some carved symbols on it. I sighed and said I have no 6 euros for the man, but I started to insist of getting the change back. Man refused so I got angry. I told him I WANT my change back and he has no rights to steal from me. At this point I also started to sense that the yellow soda was not what it was supposed to be. I started to believe it was poisoned. I told this man to taste soda from each bottle, but he refused sweating and panicking. The man became uncomfortable even more as he came out behind the desk, starting to leave the kiosk as I yelled at him I will call cops. He left and I called the cops who, apparently, was very familiar with him and they told me has done crimes before.

After the call I decided that hell, I’m gonna take my 20 euros back and leave, at least, that 5 euros to him. There was a woman with me and she had opened the cash register already, calling me to her (I never saw her tho). She told me “second layer.” so I pulled the cash “box” out as much as it came, then lifted the first layer off which was pretty much full of junks and so on. On the second layer there very beautiful and definitely unique Chinese bills - A LOT of them, but they were in nice order. Pictures on them, as well as the bright colors, were beautiful. There was one bill which was blue and it had golden Asian dragon on it, inside golden circle. I fell in love with it and I asked from this woman beside me how much euros would be in Chinese money. I wanted to leave enough euros in the cash register and take one of those dragon bills in exchange. She had no idea, tho so I left the bill alone. Then my eyes moved on another bill. It was long and there was 4 pictures, in horizontal line, combined. Colors were light dark gray, lighter gray brown and some darker brown. It had nice Asian nature pics and in the middle of the pic (in third pic actually) was either 2003 or 2012 Leonardo and Donatello with their weapons ready. That was was so small tho so I couldn’t tell which series boys were from for sure. But I recognized their skin and bandanna colors + weapons. I told this woman beside me to look at it since Leo and Don were in it and she replied to me that; “(artist’s name) made it.” One other women, probably around her 20′s with log dark orange hair, reached over the desk having so weird look in her eyes that I instantly didn’t like her. She tried to steal the money, looking at me under her brows with huge eyes with a small playful smile. I kept slapping her hand away until I really got mad at her, growling at her and really slapping her hard telling her not to steal. Then she stopped and left.

Then next I was in a bathroom taking a shower. There wasn’t actual shower area so I stood in front of the sink and used big hand shower connected to it. I heard behind the wall a voice, boy’s, saying to someone else who was with him (another boy, I could feel it); “I can’t go bother her now because there’s no shampoo!” Their shampoo had ran out so apparently they wanted / needed some from me. And based on the voice and vibes they were young ones, perhaps around 10 or so.

The dream ended with a scene where I sat on the couch at mom’s place, Verti sleeping on mom’s leather chair across me while I heard Minna meowing and playing in the hallway. Soon small kitten, mostly white having few brown spots, ran from the hallway and jumped on Verti, starting to play with him. I knew it was new girl kitty what I had recently got. To be honest I’ve been wanting to have a new kitty a whole year so far, but I have not taken one yet. Still thinking about it.

Sprung from the considerable depths of David Lynch's id, with an assist from co-creator Mark Frost, Twin Peaks, one-part detective show, one-part soap opera, was a surprise hit in the early Nineties, running for two seasons — one nearly perfect, the other hit-or-miss. Thank Showtime (and Sky in the UK) for bringing it back for a belated third, along with its unlikely protagonist, Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Dale Cooper, played by Kyle MacLachlan. MacLachlan has served as something of a muse for Lynch, having also starred in the director's adaptation of Dune (1984), a famous misfire, and Blue Velvet (1986), one of the most memorable films of the Eighties. Filling out MacLachlan's résumé: the notorious Showgirls (1995); appearances in dozens of films and television shows; a 15-year marriage; and a recent second career as the owner of a Washington-state winery, Pursued by Bear.

I fully recognise that at 55, you're not going to look like 25. But still you have to put in a good effort. I always say it's not the zeros that are tough, it's the fives. It's not turning 40 or 50; it's 45, 55. Having hit 58, I think my sixties are going to be great, until I hit 65. [Laughs.]

Fear is a great motivator to stay in shape. A shirtless scene is a great motivator. Or naked scenes. Some people don't care. My hat is off to them. Jason Segel, I admire him. Will Ferrell — go, man! Because they look real. Look at movies from the Sixties and Seventies. When Steve McQueen takes his shirt off, he's not ripped. You're like, "Yeah, that's the real guy." I blame Arnold [Schwarzenegger].

I go where the role is. It has to fulfill certain criteria. Those criteria shift sometimes, depending on the bank account — which explains some of my choices over the years.

I didn't grow up saying, "I have to be an actor." I grew up saying, "I love this. I'm getting positive reinforcement, and I'm getting work." But my life is equally important. I'm happy to be off the grid for periods of time. Maybe I get a little anxious, again, depending on the bank account. But it doesn't define me.

When you hire david lynch, you let David Lynch do David Lynch. And you walk away. People have tried to take what he does and reshape it in some way, and… you can't. He's always been very clear about his vision.

Cooper is maybe my favourite character. There is a lot in him that is similar to me: his enthusiasm for coffee, Douglas firs and doughnuts. He tries to figure out who people are before he makes a judgment about them. He's the eccentric in the middle of an even crazier world, but he's your point person. He's all you've got going in.

What did I learn from Showgirls? I learned what not to do! My God. When the project came to me, I was like, "This is Paul Verhoeven!" I loved his early films: Soldier of Orange, Spetters, RoboCop. I read the script and thought, "this is really edgy. This is really sexual. This can shake things up a bit". And during the filming, it seemed fine. We shot some good scenes. Some of it was a little weird, like when I had to walk around the pool naked. Then I saw a screening of the movie for the first time and was like, "It's a disaster." Everyone took a huge hit; me, too. But I kind of enjoyed the experience of making it. I got to ski a lot during that time [laughs]. And I learned to see where something could go terribly, terribly wrong. I used to just look at the positive potential of a script, how it could be this [raises hand]. Now, although it's not really my nature, I also look at the opposite, the negative. It could be this, too [lowers hand almost to floor].

I've loved wine since high school, but with no understanding of what was and wasn't good. The first really good bottle I had was from David Lynch. He sent a bottle of Lynch-Bages to my hotel as a thank-you when I auditioned for Dune. I drank it and thought, this is some good wine!

By and large, I have been happy with my career. I've made a living. I've done some work that I'm proud of and some work that I'm not. And I'm still here. It's funny, I run into guys that are in my wheelhouse — similar age, been up for similar roles — and a common refrain, unless they're superstars, is, "We're still viable. We're still being hired." There's a lot of pride in that, just the resilience.

Many of the model’s loyal followers have come to expect her to show off her curves in scanty bathing suits in nearly every one of her posts.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Hannah most recently delighted her fans when she shared a video of herself rocking an aqua floral bikini on the beach. To date, that clip has been viewed more than 209,000 times and garnered over 1,100 comments from her followers.

I’m giddy right now.

Actually giddy.

Smiling like a fool, probably blushing, and giggling like a child.

The long-time readers know that one of my absolute favourite themes in MLS Musings is agents or photographers capturing themselves in photos.

There’s just nothing worse, is there?

Wait, don’t answer that.  Especially not in the context of MLS Musings, because then we open the door to agents taking actual photos of their computer screen, and using that JPG in the listing, or worse.

But no matter what’s the most egregious MLS-related sin an agent can make, taking photos with themselves in them is my fave.  We all have a fave, don’t we?

This week’s edition of MLS Musings is going to highlight some of the best I’ve seen in a while, and as we go through the pics, it almost turns into a game; one that I actually played with my daughter Maya, who is a little more than 2-years-old.  She loves sitting on my lap in my office and trying to press buttons on the laptop or click the mouse, and rather than let her muck around and risk her deleting something, I try to keep her busy.

So the other day, as I was going through these photos, I told her, “Maya, can you see the man in the photo?”  And we went through them.  Some of them are really, really tough.

We’ll start with this one:

My favourite part about this one is that the guy leans his body out of the frame because he knows he might capture his own reflection, but then he doesn’t do anything about it when he realizes that his efforts went to waste.

He’s also holding a large bag, which he could have put down for two seconds, if he wasn’t busy rushing out of this condo as fast as possible because he’s a lazy bum Realtor who provides awful service.

Here he is again, and it looks like he found a place for that bag…

Look at him lean back to try and get the entire room in the frame of his…………..iPhone…

Here’s another agent for which zero F’s were given:

The camera looks orange too.

Is it possible that’s a disposable camera?  Maybe he had an extra under-water camera from his last trip down south, and decided to use it to shoot photos of somebody’s largest investment?

This agent tried a little harder:

Maya found that one.

“Daddy – his hand!  Maya see his hand!”

Oh yeah, so Maya doesn’t say “I” or “me” or “mine.”  She talks about herself in the third person narrative.

Here’s an agent that made the effort to capture the bathroom at the right angle, but then failed at editing:

Actually, there’s a decent lens on that camera.  Maybe this is a “professional” photographer who’s as bad at his job as many agents are at theirs?

FYI – Maya got this one.  It took her a while.

Maya did not get this one, however.

And through a decade of MLS Musings, and probably hundreds of examples of agents/photographers capturing themselves in images, I think this is among the least obvious:

Did you see it?

It’s tough, I know.  I just showed this to two people on my team, and they didn’t get it either.

I’m not going to tell you.  You have to look harder.

I’ll give you a hint, there’s slightly less of the agent/photographer in that photo, than there is of me in this recent wedding photo:

Seriously, it’s almost creepy.

Even luxury homes are akin to photographer errors, as shown below…

This photo contains two of my favourite themes on MLS Musings: Realtors in the photo, and brutal pillar-placement:

I know, it’s only an elbow showing on the right side of the mirror, but it still shows a professional didn’t take the picture.

Seriously though – that pillar!!  Who buys these places?

What do you notice about this photo array?

Well, the photos suck.  Six in total, three of empty rooms, and two of the same damn toilet.

But that’s not it.

There’s more.

For this, you need to see a close-up of the first photo:

Amazing.

There’s two things this could be:

1) A photo taken through the window of a car, by somebody that didn’t do the window down.  You can see the roof of the car at the top – the black line. 2) A photo of somebody’s computer screen, offering another explanation for the mesh-like, pixel effect.

Just, unreal.

And last but certainly not least, I don’t even know what to say about this one:

I mean………………………..great living room, right?

Surprisingly, I did not go into the bedroom.

I’m not sure why.

It just didn’t feel all that inviting.

I recently made a stuffed baked apple dessert inspired by the blogger My Moroccan Food. As soon as the aroma from the baking apples began to fill the kitchen, I started planning a sourdough bread version of this dessert. I needed to have this in toast form as soon as possible.

I developed a recipe that isn’t sweet, which I think allows the fruits and almonds to shine through, and as one of my kids pointed out, you can sprinkle a little sugar on your buttered toast if you want.

The recipe calls for orange blossom water, which is used in Middle Eastern and French cuisine, and has an amazing perfume-y fragrance. I say this as someone who rarely likes actual perfume. Orange blossom water (also called orange flower water) can be purchased at most Middle Eastern and Indian grocery stores, as well as on the internet, and it seems to last forever in a dark cabinet. You can also substitute the orange blossom water for double the orange zest in this recipe or a couple of drops of orange extract. Here is a fun article about the history, manufacturing and uses of orange blossom water from the website Serious Eats.

I used some whole grain durum flour in this recipe to add fiber and golden color, and I also proofed the dough in a basket lined with bran. I debated adding cinnamon or cardamom, possibly another apple, using blanched (skinless) almonds instead of raw almonds, and chopped dates instead of raisins. All of these possibilities are exciting and may go into future bakes, and I look forward to hearing about and trying different versions other people make. However, the recipe below earned a “this bread is spectacular” from a family member, so I will be repeating it as is, too.

Sourdough Apple Almond Raisin Bread

This sourdough bread is inspired by a Moroccan Baked Apple dessert. It fills your kitchen with the fragrances of apples, raisins, almonds and oranges, and makes an excellent breakfast toast or accompaniment to afternoon tea or coffee.

Ingredients

Additions

2 medium apples 365g / cored and peeled 275g / cooked and mashed 3/4 cup

130g raw almonds chopped or ground in a food processor (1 cup before chopping/grinding)

120g raisins (1 scant cup)

50g water (~3 Tbsp)

20g honey (1 Tbsp)

6g salt (1 tsp)

3g orange blossom water (1 tsp)

1 Tbsp orange zest (too light to weigh)

Dough

365g bread flour (2.5 cups)

160g whole grain durum flour (1 cup)

350g water (1.5 cups)

75g starter (1/3 cup)

Instructions

Mix together all of the ingredients listed under Additions.

You can use pre-made apple sauce, or you can cook and mash 2 peeled and cored apples. If using the microwave to cook the apples, simply put small pieces in a glass bowl, cover with a small plate and cook until soft enough to mash. If using a saucepan, you can cook the apple pieces in the 50g of water listed under Additions (rather than adding that water in later when mixing all of the Addition ingredients).

Set aside the mix to cool, and the raisins and nuts to soak up some of the liquid until the second stretch and fold, when the mix will go into the dough.

Mix the flour, water, and starter until incorporated. Note the time and temperature as this is the start of bulk fermentation.

Cover and let rest 30 minutes.

Stretch and fold the dough four times every 20-30 minutes, adding the Additions to the dough at the second stretch and fold. Cover between stretching and folding. For a video on stretching a folding, click here.

Let the dough ferment until puffy and roughly doubled. For me, this was 10.5 hours at 71F room temperature.

Scrape the dough out onto a floured counter top. Sprinkle flour on the top of the dough and press it into a rectangular shape about 3/4 inch thick. Fold the dough in thirds and then in half. (See photo gallery for preshape pic.) Let the dough rest 20-25 minutes.

Prepare a tea towel with flour (mine was previously floured) and coat it with bran flakes in a circle or oval, depending on the shape of your baking vessel and final loaf. Or spray a banneton with oil and coat it with bran flakes.

Flip over your dough and shape it into a boule or batard.

Using a bench scraper, scoop up the dough and lay it top-down on the tea towel (or in the prepped banneton). Lift the tea towel, place it into a banneton, bowl, or colander.

Cover and proof in the refrigerator 1-2 hours.

Preheat your oven with your baking vessel inside for 30 minutes before proofing time is up.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator, and the baking vessel from the oven. Gently flip the dough out of the basket and into the bottom of your baking vessel. Score the top of the dough.

Cover and return the vessel to the oven.

Bake at

500F for 20 minutes lid on

450F for 10 minutes lid on

450F for 10 minutes lid off

Remove from oven and transfer the bread to a cooling rack. The internal temp should be 205F or more.

Let cool at least 1 hour before cutting.
