Arriety themed school year🌱🌿

This year, I want a ghibli school year but, like, arriety themed. I want a garden in my room, comforting candles, early mornings, confidence, time outside in nature,papers scattered on an antique roll top desk, breezy curtains, painting to relax, green themed everything, fall leaves and rain, crochet stuff everywhere, Scooby doo playing in the back ground, eggs on toast, fairy lights, brown blankets and cream pillows, claw clips, red dresses, leg warmers, and most importantly my pet turtle to chill with me while I study Jane austen, I know arriety is more spring or summer but that's the school year I want<3

one thing has remained irrefutable and constant in my life and that is that hayao miyazaki’s imagination is like no other. he never fails to surprise and impress me.

being one of the first storytellers that i actually connected with, miyazaki has always held a place in my heart. seeing his art instantly brings me joy.

one thing that i adore about him is ability to make all of his films enjoyable for younger audiences, but also have deeper meanings that you sometimes have to dig for.

when marnie was there was the first movie by him that i watched that hit me right in the heart. loss and heartache, pain and confusion. it’s all vivid. he has a wonderful way of making every character personal. and i love that

when people ask me what my favorite movie is I say it's ,whisper of the heart' from ghibli studio. but then there is from up on poppy hill, porco rosso, kiki's delivery service, the wind rises, howls moving castle, ponyo, my neighbor totoro, the secret world of arrietty, ocean waves and many more. next time someone asks me what my favorite movie is I'll just say it's ghibli. my favorite movie is ghibli.
