#this started as a design exercise bc i couldnt get sphinx/devon rex narinder out of my head #but the whole time i was thinking man imagine if the lamb brings him in as a follower but nobody knows he was actually. you know #and the followers are like haha wow our leader channels the power and wisdom of the one who waits almost as if they were them #would that be cool or what. anyway heres narinder reassuming his pre-bishop form and everything his flesh remembers before godhood #ok now im gonna ramble abt design notes #the singe marks were inspired by fallen angels like how some ppl say they burned while falling from heaven. i wanted smth like that when #the lamb is resurrected by nari.. their outfit is inspired by papal cloaks while narinders is based on crusader armor #the lambs name 'bellwether' is also a term used for sheep that wear a bell and lead the flock and i thought that was cool #idk what the thuribles do yet but i do have smth in mind where theyre linked together. and ofc the lamb has a shepherds staff #very proud of nari's little devil tail!! and it was hard to see bc its so dark but he has wrinkles around his forehead to conceal his #third eye. even he isnt aware of it (for now)#idk where im going with this au i just have a bunch of ideas?? basically the lamb is keeping nari's identity a secret from him so he doesnt #go down that path of powerhungry destruction. smth like trying to lead him down a better path but feels guilty lying to do that #also theyre in love with each other and theyre stupid pining idiots abt it. mwah #cult of the lamb #cotl #cotl lamb #cotl narinder #the one who waits #cotl the one who waits #narilamb #art #au #myart #my art #character design #cotl au #false prophet! au

Finally, here's part 3 of the CN City art!

As I promised last time, I'm posting this last piece today to commemorate a very special occasion - my 25th Birthday THE 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF CN AKUMAS' COMPLETION!

These drawings were really fun to make. I'm totally planning on doing some more in the future. Gotta rep more CN shows, after all. :D Maybe I'll make ones for the seasonal events or sth. I'll think about it.

#zeno's art #i'm not sure if i should tag the show itself as i'm not a fan but i guess its “fan”art so i will #hazbin hotel #charlie hazbin hotel #vivziepop #i was bored and wanted to draw something #my main goal here was to create a design that looked distinct and could (potentially) be moderately easy to animate #of course based on charlie's character i added as many angel images as possible through the hair and bowtie #(i know white on white is a character design sin but i wanted to show the angel wing detail ;w;)#also to express the personality and juxtaposition of a sweet devil her horns are supposed to curve into a heart shape #of course the garterbelts are upside-down/st peters crosses because of her satanic themes #i also tried to go harder into the goat theme but its still subtle i think #i actually think the goat theme is really interesting because of the story of the sheep and the goats in the bible #but i cant remember if it was actually something intended in her original design #i'm not going to draw anyone else so dont even anticipate that #this was basically a cooldown? ok i think i'm rambling now #goodbye #ok edit to say it clearly: i am not a fan of vivziepop or her work. i just wanted to redesign charlie as a cooldown/exercise for fun #because i used to be a fan of the character before i wised up about what vivzie had and has done #and before i matured and noticed the cracks and fundamental flaws in her works #so yea i dont support her at all and this redesign is critical i guess #also the reason why the tag “vivziepop” is there in the first place is so that anyone who has that tag silenced can scroll past #without seeing anything related to her work. in case that clears anything up #its the same reason why i tag “long post” and “food” and the like

i think a lot about hot sauce and jeannemary. two young girls so ready to kill and to die. a comparison made all the worse when you recall that hot sauce lost all her family to the cohort, that she can specifically recall fourth style necromancy (using corpses as bombs). a fourteen and thirteen year old that could easily have been on opposite sides of the same front line.

#the locked tomb #the loss of childhood! senseless violence!#opposite ends of the propaganda machine #eskildit posts tlt #all of nona the ninth #how am i supposed to tag hot sauce #jeannemary chatur #ok to rb #edit: okay im actually gonna use these tags to ramble a lil #in many ways i feel alecto the ninth is gonna be the hardest book to actually pull off #first for the obvious reason that its an ending and endings are always hard #but second because nona the ninth was by far the most political book of the series #books 1 and 2 following harrow and gideon mean we're following characters on the outskirts of the empire #gideon is individually oppressed by the ninth and even harrow is considered a black sheep outsider of the nine houses #but they are still WITHIN the houses gideon has dreams of the cohort harrow has dreams of of revitalizing her house #nona was our actual introduction to the real consequences of the empire that characters like judith like jeannemary like corona herself #have their livelihoods and status entirely built on the imperial violence we see first hand on new rho #anyway i say all of this to say it means coming back to these characters might be kinda tricky!#the cost of the empire is no longer abstract its extremely palpable!#how does one return to our core cast we've know for multiple books now that we understand that #idk. interested to see where we go!
