TMA rant part 5 (i think??? Idk anymore)
Something I noticed about ep 59, Recluse. So maybe this is really obvious, but naming it recluse, and specifically calling Raymond Fielding a recluse is so well thought out. During the statement it’s not something you pay attention to, but after the statement’s done and you know it’s about webs and spider related things, it’s not too hard to see that it’s named Recluse for a reason, which is a type of spider.
So if you know much about spiders, you might know of the recluse spider, which kinda fits with the statement beyond it just being a spider, recluse spiders are brown, and Raymond wears a brown suite, that sort of thing. But if you’ve already finished the series and go back, this is so clever. Recluse spiders have a venom that destroys tissue, leaving bites gaping and festering, taking months to heal, and occasionally needing skin grafts. Hill top road has been scarred over and over, but Raymond Fielding, this recluse spider man, did that with this place, he left another gaping festering wound in reality. I just love that detail.
