Starkid is one of the absolute best arguments for supprting independent art. The fact that the shows you're invested in can't get canceled by Big Daddy Streaming, the quality is always amazing, the love of the cast and crew doesn't get squeezed out by surprise budget reductions, the fact that since crowd funding provides almost all costs up front (plus the presence of voluntary digital ticket/in person tickets for additional funding), the fan base can access the full material for whatever cost they can contribute (even if you can give nothing monetarily, you will still get a professionally shot version of the material eventually, without surprise fees or password crackdowns, AND with captions/completely accesible regardless of location). The same goes for Tin Can Bros, Shipwrecked, and all the other associated theater and web series companies loosely connected to Starkid. Like, I cannot believe the amazing content provided to us at the same level as Broadway or streaming services with billion dollars at hand, with almost none of the catches that come with others. Like, I cannot believe that we get all of this right at our hands.

Candlelight

John loved his little pet, loved the noises it made and how easily it cried. He'd tied it's wrists together and pulled them above it's head tying the string to a hook he'd installed above his desk for this exact purpose. As his little pet dangled from it's bindings he nudged it to make it swing. He loved how it would flinch and whimper at every touch. The fight wasn't completely gone from it though every now and then he could make it break down just that bit further. It would scream and beg and shout at him as if anything it could do could make him stop, all it would do is earn more time in the time out box.

John pulled a tealight from his box of toys and placed it on the desk under the dangling feet. Taking a long match from the pack he trailed down his little pet's side smirking as it flinched and flailed in its bindings. It was crying already.

"Well now little pet, let see if you can be obedient today. I want you to remain completely silent, I want peace and quiet as I enjoy my candlight supper"

This was going to be a delightful evening he thought as he struck the match and lit the candle.

Okay so the fact that Lucy has a necrotic finger grafted back onto her hand, kinda like how ghouls have decayed looking skin, and Cooper sewed her finger onto his hand. A finger that's basically untouched by the wastes, uncaloused and soft... Traits that they both need to embrace about themselves.

Lucy needs to become a bit more rough, hardened, less naive and trustful (while still maintaining her kindness and morals)

Cooper needs to soften up, accept help and love and understand that not everyone wants him dead and not everyone will betray him.

Those are wedding rings in my mind.
