So my art style took  withdrawal after finishing that wcsmp full piece so we are in doodle only territory for a hot minute. Did some headcanons for some esmp1 parents :]

I don’t have terribly many actual thoughts about the parents. The twins parents suck but aren’t individually really relevant to anything. Their mother, Queen Mairieth, is a descendant of Alinar and thusly the monarch by blood. Her husband Druindar married into the thrones power. I also 100% forgot Smajors wings and neither his brother or mums somehow,,, damn. His dad is the only wingless one I assure.

I don’t have any thoughts about Sausage’s dad but the fact that his mom is named Fable s very important to me. She also had a lot of impact of Mythlands more recent history regarding woman’s rights and generally instilled the idea of a maiden as a figure of  well placed power. Incredibly powerful and witty woman, love her dearly. and she loves her boy. Taught him lots about grabbing power he seeks...

Finally Angie is my favourite esmp parent if only because I know her very well on a character level where the others are just kinda, names and faces to fill in gaps. Angie plays a big role in my Flower Husbands Arranged Marriage AU that I have a massive outline for but lets be real god only knows if I’ll work on it. Anyways, Angie is very important to me as a ruler, but also as a mother and a source of guidance. She would bun the world for her kids and I think that’s very neat of her <3

i mean this with the utmost respect for everyone involved and for sure without the rpf implications but having recently watched hitting the apex and doing a bit of a dive into vale and sic’s relationship, it really is so hard to ignore his role in how vale approaches marc and racing… the danger the risk his feelings on injuries and accidents and marc’s riding style… aversion of him fear for him i don’t know. there is just so much there. of course goes without saying that you don’t have to post this but if you have any thoughts at all i would love to hear them

i DONT super like to get into the sic of it all for quite obvious reasons but i do literally think thats a humongous part of the tension in their relationship forever. outside of rpf even. especially as vale's academy riders came up in a sport where success was increasingly defined by the specific, crazy ass way marc marquez rides a motorcycle. but i alsoooo think vale um. kind of VERBALLY (internally. another story mayhaps) finds that truth (marc being dangerous/reckless) when it is convenient to him. of course losing friends in extreme sports as he got older was a very formative and traumatic experience, but vale almost never had a problem with marc's riding until he had a chance to fight him. actually he never had a big problem with the DANGER of marc's riding until post-divorce....

So two questions:

1) fae!au: does the name need to be a “true” name for it to have power over the person? Like with Leib using aliases, if one fit better than the others would that give König some power over her?

2) monster!au: do you think the boys would appreciate if there was a tailor nearby their home base that would put in all the modifications to their clothing that they needed (including the weight to balance Price out)?

True names are the ones that have power! And a true name is just the name you most strongly associate with yourself.

For example Love: she has a real name that does work as her true name, but Ghost's pet name for her is also something she associates strongly with. It is something she specifically associates with her status as Ghost's, so it's a name that she doesn't like other people using(except Soap he can use it).

No alias is going to stick as a true name because Liebling(and Witch) very explicitly do not consider those aliases as their names. Even Witch only considers that her title. Like calling Price "Captain" it's not his name so it doesn't have power like his name does. Liebling does associate König's pet name strongly with herself, but König is more protective of it than she is. That his name(for her).

Anyway I don't have a monster au(I don't think) but tailors are always well loved by the fae. Tradespeople usually are favorites of the fair folk.

and yes i know theres alternatives. yes i have rather easy access to most of it. no i dont have the spoons to try to get invested into anything new i havent been keeping up with in forever. yes i would like to try but im in a spot where its just really difficult for me to do that personally

Maybe I should just accept the fact that I'm bound to have writing WIPs and inch my way to completion with this thing by adding onto it day by day instead of fully completing the thing in a single day like I usually do.
