What is Newton’s Ferry?

Newton's Ferry is my current WIP! It's a historical novel of manners centering 6 people in a small English village called Newton's Ferry in the spring of 1815. It's sort of an investigation of the expectations for love and romance often forced on people and the commodification of relationships, but it's mostly a silly goofy time! If your only understanding of it is the memes I reblog here you will have a very skewed understanding of what it's about, so here's a more detailed post about it :)
