in the amelia pond au, amelia’s aunt does still send her to therapy between doctor adventures, but since amelia is now secure in the fact that he’s Definitely Real since both rory and mels have also met him and because she lost a tooth last week from tripping on the stairs of the tardis, she doesn’t bite any therapists this time around. and besides, her therapist is a very funny lady. she reminds amelia of her doctor, with how her voice will flip and jump in volume and accent and tone on a whim, with how she’ll talk to amelia like they’re conspiring together. she keeps the pictures amelia draws of the doctor and their adventures for her, even hangs one or two on the walls. she listens very intently to every detail, which no adults in amelia’s life do save the doctor himself and river song, whenever she’s around. and best of all, whenever she tells amelia’s aunt that amelia is doing just fine, don’t you worry, she’ll grow out of this, she winks at amelia so that amelia will know her therapist is only playing along to wave away her aunt’s suspicion.

it is a little odd, though, that she insists on only being called Missy. but amelia is quite used to odd by now.

while I do absolutely agree that they are all trying, if you asked me to tell you which member of the venerated triad is actually trying the hardest to reconcile the diametrically opposed worldviews of his sworn brothers and his obligations to his sect and family (rather than trying to strong-arm reality to align with his own worldview, or not look too closely at the intensity of the conflict that is developing within these relationships)

i feel like the funniest thing about the bear s2 for me vis a vis the odd romance plot (and trying to figure out why it was done in the precise way it was) is that the closest we got to a sex scene if I'm remembering correctly was a strange purple-lit under the covers couple of flashes of difficult to decipher limbs. they coulda just been wrestling or hanging out, hell it coulda just been him in there or a piece of his imagination or a very windy day. the lack of attempting to inject sexual passion or chemistry into their relationship was fascinating and not because they were trying to give us ace carmen (rip that would be actually great). just threw out A Girl Template and did the absolute barest minimum to remind us she exists and "is great" according to occasional reviews from other characters and completely neglected to write. chemistry.

So Steve is totally jealous of Eddie, Dustin’s new super cool & quirky friend. Cause hey, that’s supposed to be his job. & maybe he feels a little intimidated cause he knows all that dnd shit so what if Dustin likes him more? I feel like Steve has bad only child syndrome (especially with his relationship with his parents) so he’s not gonna like any competition for the role of Older Brother Figure. & so he gives him a hard time & is honestly pretty bitchy & catty to Eddie. & he makes it so much worse because he plays along with it to rile Steve up more. Can we all just agree on that?

Speaking of three words, though, I much prefer Munkustrap's "Imposing, Energetic, Courageous" over the other three, strictly because it eliminates the prevalent fandom idea that Munkustrap cannot be played on the high energy, bounding, absolutely silly and side - but then it also gives room for the "But if he's had enough, he's had *enough* and he should scare you because of it" angle.
