ok, so the orange side...

so, I've been seeing quite a bit of discussion on the topic of what the orange side could represent/what their name will be. so I thought I'd share my thoughts. personally, I feel as if the orange side would represent anger. or, more specifically rage. most of the encounters we've ever had with the side have been related to some standard or linked back to the thought of anger. Some examples of this would be, obviously when logan lost his cool while trying to explain to Remus why he felt as if his actions were unfair and then shouted. then later on when Logan became frustrated and Remus tried to push saying 'It kinda makes you wanna scream, huh.' I have also seen quite a few theories saying that this new side could represent repressed thoughts, while this is a good theory, I don't think so. if it was, then they would have appeared in the episodes with Patton talking about his repressed thoughts and also in dealing with intrusive thoughts when they got onto the topic of repression. now onto the name. as we can see, there are a lot of patterns with the names given to the sides. one of the first being the fact that all of the names have only two syllables. the second being that, both Janus and Remus' names are of Greek origins Janus' meaning two faces or doorways and Remus' literally means twin. and the last pattern with the names of the characters is the endings, (log-an, rom-an, patt-on. and rem-us and jan-us) Virgil being the outlier of this because as Thomas had depicted before he's like a grey side, sitting in the middle of the black and the white me and my friend actually discussed this a while ago, trying to keep all of these patterns in mind, two of the most likely ones that we found were either Marius/Marcus or Sirius. Marius as a name means dedicated to Mars, the Roman god of war, while it's not a Greek name, the definition goes along with the idea that the orange side is supposed to depict rage. Also, to be shortened down could go to Marcus, which means the same thing only with two syllables going along with the first pattern. and obviously, Marius ends with the same syllables as Remus and Janus. The second name, Sirius is another good option in my opinion. the definition of Sirius as a name is burning/glowing which also contributes to the idea of anger or rage. 'burning rage' etc. the origins of the name Sirius are also Greek, meaning that it would go along with the other dark sides along with eh fact it ends with '-us'. (also doesn't support anything at all I just think it would be cool cause Sirius is actually a star and it would be funny that he'd be related to Logan a lot.) the only thing wrong with this name is that it has three syllables instead of 2.

Yall what if Leander is undead? And he remains alive on some Mother Gothel type shit. The dark eye circles aren’t just for show, it’s because he probably died and remains alive by having folks join the bloodhounds.. when they etch their name into the table they essentially sell their souls or agree to whatever Leander offered them in exchange for their lives.. and he feeds on their souls to stay alive. Maybe that’s why MC’s curse doesn’t affect him too not only bc of magic but because he’s dead ??? He can’t feel that Lmaoo hence why he visits crypts and has a connection to the living and the dead? Yes he’s just a human, but he’s undead human.

And, and, AND maybe his desire to connect with the dead is what the Senobium was so against him uncovering despite his incredible power, hence why he rejected joining… like bro you’re just being greedy now.

Hmm some season two thoughts (mostly about source dragons)

1. Where is everyone getting the info about the different ‘types’ of source dragons?? Maybe I just missed it but I’ve seen people calling them the energy life motion etc dragons and I’m just ???

2. I keep seeing people worrying/saying Ras’s master is the overlord which… I really don’t think is true? The light surrounding him when he goes into vision mode is golden which really has never been associated with the Overlord (except when he had the golden power I guess but I don’t think that’s the case now). I don’t think they’d change his color scheme that drastically, I think this is something else

3. I do really love that they have made gold the color of Ras’s master, it’s switching up expectations of light/dark good/evil in a way ninjago rarely does and it makes me really excited to figure out who Ras’s master is and what their deal is

4. There’s one source dragon symbol that’s showing up a lot in Lloyd’s visions… what’s the deal with that. It’s red and the symbol looks an awful lot like fire, which could be connected to Kai possibly (he’s been important enough this season…) but also I don’t think the source dragons are supposed to be direct counterparts to the ninja’s powers so ?

Comparing Abel/fArya to Bael/Rose in the same breath as denying Sansa having any connection to the rose when she was stolen by Baelish is certainly a choice.

Because Jeyne was never a Stark girl (Arya), the comparsion ends with Abel indirectly stealing her, there is no rose as a payment because the girl was fake and also no bastard killing him. (why Mance/Abel is not painted in a negative light like all other Bael figures in the story, he is not paying the price because he is not stealing her for himself: OG Bael, Rhaegar, Ygritte, Littlefinger, Marillion all had selfish motivations)

Baelish left a rose (Margaery) as a payment for stealing a Stark girl (Sansa) from Lannisters, and it is prophecied his bastard (again Sansa) will kill him.

Which story parallels Bael's story more?

Moreover, Arya has no theme of roses in her story. Saying Arya=Lyanna and Lyanna=rose motif so Arya=rose motif is wishful thinking and won't suddenly alter the text to include it in her chapters.

Meanwhile Sansa:

1) got a rose at a tourney like Lyanna

2) wore it in her hair the next day like Lyanna

3) had her first flowering immediately after the Bael's story came up for the first time

4) spent a lot of time with roses (tyrells)

5) got stolen by a bael figure, like Lyanna

6) was called a 'roadside rose' by another bael figure (who is offering the song as a payment for seducing her)

Also GRRM has a thing for redheads so assuming the OG rose was also a redhead is not a stretch by any definition. However, Sansa's paralles with the story don't depend on anyone's hair color.

it could look like a timeline in a way, if you really think about it.

steve standing on the left could represent the past and robin standing on the right could represent the future. nancy being in the middle of them coukd represent her just struggling to make the decision between the past and and future.

i also think that like.. robin and steve are both obviously into nancy (robin is js imo.. like its obvious theres no way shes still into vickie)

theyre each standing on both of her sides and shes in the middle. this means two different things to me!

she doesnt know which path to choose. either she comes between steve and robins friendship OR she grows distant from one and gets closer to the other and this causes some tension.

Either I’m comically late to the party or this has actually not been talked about yet/enough:

El’s Outfits! Short sleeved striped V-necks over tight flowery shirts!

The scene with Hopper and El at the cabin is in s2, ep.3 "The pollywog" and it's meant to be their reconciliation after El was upset with Hopper for being late the night before. Hopper first tries to lighten the mood by joking about the triple-decker eggo extravaganza he's cutting for El but then the conversation turns more serious as Hopper states that El has been visiting Mike via the void again, and then we get this dialogue:

El:“[Mike] said he needs me.”

Hopper:“I know you miss him kid, but it's too dangerous.You're the last thing he needs right now.”

Hopper then tries to make El happy by telling her that she'll see Mike soon but El gets upset because he's been saying that on day 21, on day 205 and now on day 326. What was meant to be a reconciliation escalated into a bigger fight. A fight about “friends don't lie”.

Also, the fact that Hopper literally just straight up told her that she's the last thing Mike needs right now💀, kinda harsh. But at the same time it's very interesting because of what Hopper said to Joyce one episode earlier: “Owens is right you know. We're coming up on a year and I think everybody's on edge”, and while at this point in s2 Hopper has not yet interacted with Mike, we as an audience have already seen Mike being on edge for the first two episodes. Hopper very likely assumed that Mike wasn't doing well with the anniversary of Will's disappearance coming up, and he knew El reappearing would somehow make it worse. And he was right. Mike had a breakdown not even two minutes after he reunited with El.

The scene with Mike and El is in s4, ep. 9 "the piggyback" and it's meant to be their reconciliation after their fight earlier this season. Mike tries to lighten the mood by joking about looking cool with the glasses but just as the conversation turns into something more serious they get interrupted by Argyle:

El:”I- missed you”

Mike:”yeah, I missed you too. You know, the last few days, I... I had to think about the last talk we had. You know, before the cops and the whole world went to shit and everything. I. I guess, I just... I don't know. I guess I just wanted to say that—”

Argyle:”Surf's up, Romeo!”

And that's kinda where this parallel got me rethinking what could've happened if Argyle didn't interrupt Mike. Mike most likely would've said that he's sorry but would El have believed him? Would she have accepted the apology? Or would their moment of reconciliation have turned into a bigger fight like it did with Hopper? A fight about "friends don't lie"? Or has it maybe escalated into that despite the interruption?

And the "I know you miss him [...] You're the last thing he needs right now" paralleling with Mike and El saying they missed each other makes me think of how especially after the van scene Mike really would've done better without everything that happened at surfer boy pizza. Yes he missed her, but giving her a grand love confession was the last thing he needed. The last thing he would've wanted to do.
