I’m Declaring War Against “What If” Videos: Project Copy-Knight
Tumblr media
What Are “What If” Videos?
These videos follow a common recipe: A narrator, given a fandom (usually anime ones like My Hero Academia and Naruto), explores an alternative timeline where something is different. Maybe the main character has extra powers, maybe a key plot point goes differently. They then go on and make up a whole new story, detailing the conflicts and romance between characters, much like an ordinary fanfic.
Except, they are fanfics. Actual fanfics, pulled off AO3, FFN and Wattpad, given a different title, with random thumbnail and background images added to them, narrated by computer text-to-speech synthesizers.
They are very easy to make: pick a fanfic, copy all the text into a text-to-speech generator, mix the resulting audio file with some generic art from the fandom as the background, give it a snappy title like “What if Deku had the Power of Ten Rings”, photoshop an attention-grabbing thumbnail, dump it onto YouTube and get thousands of views.
In fact, the process is so straightforward and requires so little effort, it’s pretty clear some of these channels have automated pipelines to pump these out en-masse. They don’t bother with asking the fic authors for permission. Sometimes they don’t even bother with putting the fic’s link in the description or crediting the author. These content-farms then monetise these videos, so they get a cut from YouTube’s ads.
In short, an industry has emerged from the systematic copyright theft of fanfiction, for profit.
Project Copy-Knight
Since the adversaries almost certainly have automated systems set up for this, the only realistic countermeasure is with another automated system. Identifying fanfics manually by listening to the videos and searching them up with tags is just too slow and impractical.
And so, I came up with a simple automated pipeline to identify the original authors of “What If” videos.
Tumblr media
It would go download these videos, run speech recognition on it, search the text through a database full of AO3 fics, and identify which work it came from. After manual confirmation, the original authors will be notified that their works have been subject to copyright theft, and instructions provided on how to DMCA-strike the channel out of existence.
I built a prototype over the weekend, and it works surprisingly well:
Tumblr media
On a randomly-selected YouTube channel (in this case Infinite Paradox Fanfic), the toolchain was able to identify the origin of half of the content. The raw output, after manual verification, turned out to be extremely accurate. The time taken to identify the source of a video was about 5 minutes, most of those were spent running Whisper, and the actual full-text-search query and Levenshtein analysis was less than 5 seconds.
The other videos probably came from fanfiction websites other than AO3, like fanfiction.net or Wattpad. As I do not have access to archives of those websites, I cannot identify the other ones, but they are almost certainly not original.
Armed with this fantastic proof-of-concept, I’m officially declaring war against “What If” videos. The mission statement of Project Copy-Knight will be the elimination of “What If” videos based on the theft of AO3 content on YouTube.
I Need Your Help
I am acutely aware that I cannot accomplish this on my own. There are many moving parts in this system that simply cannot be completely automated – like the selection of YouTube channels to feed into the toolchain, the manual verification step to prevent false-positives being sent to authors, the reaching-out to authors who have comments disabled, etc, etc.
So, if you are interested in helping to defend fanworks, or just want to have a chat or ask about the technical details of the toolchain, please consider joining my Discord server. I could really use your help.

editor note — first work posted! hope you guys enjoy^^
Tumblr media
It’s hard being a talented and hardworking idol year-round, especially when there’s little time to blow off steam. Of course, perhaps his management allowed his group to go out a couple of nights of the year, and let the idols live freely. But for Han Jisung, meeting new people… wasn’t exactly his strong suit.
Well, obviously, he wanted to meet new people. He tried to find friends outside of Stray Kids, he tried to find acquaintances he can fuck around with–
He wanted somebody’s sexual attention.
Sure, rumors went around that his group sometimes mingled sexually. Sure, it may be true. But Jisung wanted to find somebody who would fulfill his erotic fantasies, his strange kinks, his insatiable libido. Especially when out of the 365 days, only a select few would be free to let him do so.
But, of course, his one problem: He can’t socialize with strangers. Talking to his fans was one thing– he just had to say hello, hear them gush about him, say thank you, and wave goodbye. Simple.
Meeting strangers at bars and clubs… what do you mean he had to flirt with somebody who wasn’t a friend?? Twenty-one questions? What’s that? More like twenty-one regrets for following his friends to the loud, crowded club.
Once again, he was curled up in his room as the other members separated and went out on their off night. Once again, he was berating himself for not being sociable.
…Once again, he was humping that same damned pillow.
A breathy curse left his lips, his fingers curling into the sheets as he bucked his hips again. His trusty pillow never failed to satisfy him– but as he continued a pit grew in his stomach. He wanted more. He didn’t just want to be satisfied; he wanted to be pleasured, to be thrown over the edge, to be braindead…
Jisung let out a whine, collapsing on his pillow. A frustrated huff left his lips as he pulled out his phone, opening the PornHub link once again… no, he didn’t feel proud about this. He felt like a sleazy creep who got off watching girls and guys fuck for the camera.
(Sure, he didn’t feel proud, but he certainly didn’t feel guilty.)
Ah. The normal stepcest content. He grumbled, feeling his cock twitch against the pillow. He just found roleplaying erotic and exciting. Realistically, you can film anything, slap down the word ‘roleplay’ and you wouldn’t be questioned in the pornography realm. But to say the least, it worked, so he watched it.
He tapped on the video, setting his head back on the other pillow and situating himself, gripping the base of his cock. It was dark in his room, so the blinding light and loud music of the upcoming ad made him flinch away, squinting his eyes.
Scowling, he tapped furiously on the loading skip button. Another one of those porn Facetime sites.
Do they even work? Could you just sign up, get on call, and masturbate with a hot girl?
He paused, staring at the seizure-inducing ad.
It wouldn’t hurt to try, honestly.
His anxiety spiked, but he forced it down. No, he wasn’t going to have small talk. No, he didn’t have to show his face… just his cock. And no, the other girl wouldn’t skip him if he stuttered immensely.
Right?
He sat up in his bed, crossing his legs as he tapped on the ad itself. The normal button to download an app was shown– if he was normal, he would’ve clicked off.
But he didn’t feel like jerking off onto his pillow to some video posted five years ago. His friends were gone and the dorm was empty– he might as well take the chance.
✶ ✶ ✶
“–Babygirl, right? You should totally show me your–”
Skipped.
You sighed, throwing your head back. Another horny teenager. Couldn’t you get somebody somewhat normal?
It was your off day of streaming, simply anonymous on this mutual masturbation app. You counted three teenagers, four people who recognized you, and a troll (although you could admit the guy made you laugh).
The blank screen was loading, finding somebody else for you. Your wand laid between your legs, and you cursed.
Maybe I should give it up–
The screen loaded and you perked up… only to see a ceiling fan. You frowned.
“Hello?”
A small noise came from the other side of the call and the camera shifted. “Uh… hi.”
Great, another teenager?
“If you’re under twenty I am clicking off–”
“Wait!” The camera jolted and a face came into view, his eyes wide with panic.
You sucked in a breath. He was gorgeous.
Soon realizing what he did he yelped and dropped the phone, showing his fan again. “Ah, fuck-!” “What?” You demanded. “No no, show me your face pretty boy.”
He choked. “Pretty boy-?”
“Yes? Or are you camera shy?” You sat back, almost grinning in amusement. While he was too scared to even show his forehead, you had your camera positioned so he could see everything. Crossing your legs, you leaned back even more, relaxed.
The guy whined. Whined. “I, uh… wouldn’t you rather see my d-dick?” “Oh, so you’re direct,” You purred, resting your chin on the back of your hand. “Alright. Do what makes you comfortable.”
There’s a pause on his end, and he lifts his phone to reposition it. The ending scene… oh.
His cock was as pretty as his face. Long, curled, resting on his doughy tummy. The pink mushroom tip glistened in his blue LED room lights, a show of his excitement. His small hand gripped the chubby base, his hand twitching.
“Baby,” You exhaled. “Are you a pornstar?”
The guy choked, his grip tightening. “I– huh? N-no, I’m not!”
You scoffed. “You should be. You’re immaculate.”
“Oh…” Another whine. “Really?”
“Yes! Oh, baby, can you stroke it?” You grab your wand, turning on the lowest setting. The hum of the toy was picked up by the guy, as heard by his bated breath.
“Ok…”
You made sure not to blink as he slowly moved his hand up and down, the veins bulging at the movements. He let out another shuddered breath, his thighs tensing.
“I’ve never… touched myself in front of somebody–” He murmured, his last word hitching. “L-let alone a stranger…”
“So you’re new… alright.” You nodded, grazing your wand on your cunt. You let out a content sigh, brushing it on the lips.
He gulped– it was obvious that his attention was on you, not on his cock. To tease him, you pressed it right on your clit, letting out a soft moan. You could’ve sworn you saw a drop of precum roll down his shaft.
“I’m your first, then,” You grin, the idea making you strangely pleased. “That’s adorable.”
He squeaked. “Really?”
You nodded, increasing the level on the wand. As you tensed up and moaned, he tensed and stuttered his hand on his cock.
“Baby,” You said after a second. “I feel like you're holding back. Relax~”
“Relax,” He huffed, sitting up. “Ok– ok. Um…”
You saw the tension leave his thighs and arms, his body sinking further into the mattress. Grinning, you spread your cunt out further, the slick making it glisten in the low light.
He let out a low groan. “Are you… going to cum?”
“Not yet, baby. But soon.” I nod, spreading my legs further as I increase the intensity. Just watching him– a nervous, adorable stranger– touch himself, made me strangely sensitive.
New turn-on, I guess.
You decide to turn it up yet another level, arching your back and letting out a sultry whine. “Oh~”
“Fuck…” You heard him curse. “Do– do it again. Do that again.”
You wanted to tease him– but with how your lower stomach was tightening, you would only frustrate yourself. Instead, you laid back, tapping your toy on your clit and making yourself twitch and moan.
You heard the sheets rustle on his end as well, and his camera jerked. His phone fell but showed you something that almost made you cum on the spot.
You were able to see his face again, his eyes and nose scrunched up, framed by curly locks of silky brown hair. He was hunched over but it didn’t hide his small waist; it accentuated the curve from his chest to his hip. His honey-toned thighs twitched and shook as he gripped his cock, slick noises echoing in both of your rooms as he jerked off.
“You’re into that?” You moan out; you couldn’t help yourself. “Into my noises? My moans? What if I beg for you, huh?”
He let out a breathless wail, throwing his head back. “Oh god, please–”
He’s the beggar, shit.
“Praise?” You murmured, your soft tone barely heard over his wet cock and your buzzing toy. “Are you a good boy?”
His eyes widened comically, immediately flitting over to you. His movements momentarily stuttered, the pretty tip almost a deep purple.
Gotcha.
“Good boy…” You moaned out, your toy now on the highest setting as you rubbed it frantically on your clit. “You’re such a good boy, such a good boy…”
“Yes-!” He whimpered, his hand almost sliding off his cock with the sheer amount of precum. “Oh fuck, I am~!”
You gripped the toy with both hands, your legs closing over it. “You’re gonna cum? Can you cum for me baby? Cum for me, babygirl–”
The nickname set him off immediately. He let out a loud wail, his hands jerking back as he came. Thick ropes of seed spurted out of the swollen tip, collecting on his tightened stomach. He gripped the sheets under him, his cock twitching as he screwed his eyes shut. “Oh…!”
You came yourself a few seconds after, slick gathering around your hole and dripping into your sheets. You let out a small, humored moan, smiling. “Fuck, baby…”
Coming down from his high, he realized how his phone was situated, allowing you to see his face. But he couldn’t bring himself to fix it, not when he was watching you scoop your cum and slick and lick it off your fingers… his softening cock twitched.
God, he was getting hard again.
You giggled, giving him a lazy grin as you noticed his slack expression. “You like that? Watching me eat my own cum?”
He let out a strangled gasp. “Fuck, I…”
“I like you,” You declared, reaching for the towel and shoving it under you. “You’re willing to stick around?”
Are you kidding? He almost wanted to yell. This was probably the best orgasm he’s had in his life. Letting you skip was almost like letting somebody tease him with dessert and then handing it to somebody completely different. He wasn’t going to let that happen.
“I– yes,” He choked out, picking up his phone. “What’s your username?”
Slightly taken aback by his sudden directness, you tilted your head. “Oh? Baby, you’re greedy.”
He clenched his jaw. “I want to see you again.”
Maybe he can call you tomorrow. Maybe the following weeks. Maybe you can roleplay with him, satiate his kinks, satisfy his drive. Maybe he can meet you in person and actually fuck you—
Giggling, you buried yourself further into your pillows. “Hm… tempting. Well, baby, you are cute. It would be stupid for me to give you up.”
You spread your legs again, picking up your toy. “But I’ll give it to you later, m'kay? I’m not quite ready to let you sign off just yet…”

CO2 Skills: Custom Skill Tokens
Tumblr media
Published: 7-17-2024 | Updated: N/A SUMMARY I use mods to make more diverse sims in terms of personality traits, body types, and lifetime wants. They’ve made my sims more complex and interesting to play overall. Still, the skill-building system feels limited alongside these mods. Being a decent pianist shouldn’t automatically make it easier to paint, spy, DJ, garden, become a career slacker, work as an architect, and play every other instrument in-game. Being clean certainly benefits barbers and pet owners, but shouldn’t they also be good at cutting hair and animal care? By default, sims can develop at least 40 skills - 4 toddler skills, 7 basic skills, 4 hidden skills, 6 life skills (AL/FT), and 11 talent badges (OFB). This custom skills pack builds directly on the existing skill-hobby system in Sims 2 in the following ways:
60+ new skills taken from other games in the simsverse (Sims 3, Sims 4, console titles, etc.)
100+ new skills related to university majors, career tracks, and popular mods from the simsverse
New skills are linked to certain objects, interactions, and career levels
All TS2 content creators are welcome to link these skills to your creations if they choose BUT this is meant to be non-intrusive. These will be linked to some of my custom careers, majors, and objects.
DETAILS Basegame Compatible – but skill-related objects and mods may require expansions. * These are skill TOKENS ONLY - custom objects, mods, majors and career tracks which use these skills will be published on this site under the #co2skills, #co2careers, and/or #co2edu  tags. Modders, feel free to implement these and if you do – please share!
GENERAL INFO
Skills are invisible tokens activated by certain interactions in-game.
Sims can’t develop the same skill twice and they can’t sell or gift them to others.
Skills do not appear in inventories or the UI.
Some repetitive and animal-specific skills were excluded.
An index of all skills and their GUIDS is included with this download. If you have custom skills to add to the list, please ask/message me.
A “SKILL TREE” FOR SIMS 2 Where do these custom skills fit in gameplay? Imagine a system with three levels of expertise… LEVEL 1 = basegame skills (body, charisma, cleaning, cooking, creativity, logic, and mechanical). ^^This level already exists in the basegame and everything starts here. You need 2 or more basic skill points before you can advance. LEVEL 2 = some custom skills, life skills (AL/FT), talent badges (OFB), supernatural/magic (AL) ^^This level exists if you play with expansions. I’ve added a few new skills here related to existing supernatural and woohoo gameplay. LEVEL 3 and up = remaining custom skills and university major skills
^^The bulk of new skills come into play here and help make sims’ hobbies, careers, and lifestyle choices make more sense.
Unlock level 3 skills by earning 2-3 points in a level 1 or level 2 skill, a talent badge, and/or attending university.
Use the skill trees below for reference. Skills are grouped by their basegame skill/hobby affiliation, but some (ballet for example) may appear in multiple categories.
You do NOT need to earn all skills/badges at one level to unlock the next. The point of this project is that your sims can finally specialize in activities and professions related to their true personality.
BODY Body skill is already linked to tai chi and the restocking badge, but the skill is named differently across games (athleticism, fitness, health/sanity, etc.). Unlock new ways to develop a sim’s physical and mental strength.
Tumblr media
CHARISMA Charisma links to the sales badge while range of hobby-related interests fall under film and literature. Branch off and concentrate on related skill areas.
Tumblr media
CLEANING The cleaning skill is linked to three badges (cosmetology, gardening, and fishing) and enthusiasm for animals and the environment. Specialize in ways which better reflect their lifestyle.
Tumblr media
COOKING Venture into new worlds of taste and make magic in the kitchen! This may be especially useful for those who want more challenging gameplay in terms of food-related careers, businesses, and custom food mods.
Tumblr media
CREATIVITY & DANCE By default, creativity makes earning badges in flower arranging, pottery, and sewing easier. It also relates to the hidden drafting/dance skills.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
…because a sim who hates art should be able to become a master pianist without magically becoming a master painter too.
LOGIC & UNIVERSITY Logic contributes to the register/cashiering badge and the hidden study/homework skill. Now, sims can pursue new schools of knowledge. Certain majors will now require students to learn theory and technical skills in their areas of study.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
MECHANICAL Mechanical sims can more easily earn a robotics badge and now, they can also unlock a host of new mechanical/tech-related pursuits.
Tumblr media
SUPERNATURAL Sims with supernatural abilities can enhance their craft by building a range of new skills.
Tumblr media
OTHER Some of the new skills require TWO (2) or more types of basic skill points. Herbalism, for example, requires both cooking and gardening skill.
Tumblr media

TSR CC Recommendations: TS2 Lot Builders
Nobody asked for this but I have a little time on my hands and I said I might do it, so here is a list of some TSR lot builders who I recommend checking out. A few notes under the cut before we get started (all details under the cut, as well, in case you aren't interested in my preamble):
This is not meant to be paid promotion for TSR. I believe TSR asking users to pay for their CC is ridiculous, especially for a 19 year old game they haven't supported in 7 years. But I spent many years uploading there during the peak-TS2 / pre-TS3 era and know there is great CC in their archives that newer players may not know about. And unlike TheSims2.com, which has sadly shuffled off this mortal coil, TSR's content is still available to freely download (assuming you can stomach the pop-ups and wait times)
This post will only be about lot builders because that was what I was primarily uploading and downloading in this era. I was friendly with some of the creators I am about to list, but none of them are still active members of the TS2 community.
The preview pics might be a little rough and the architecture styles will likely feel very dated compared to the most popular styles these days, which are more colorful, cluttered, and use 3t2 and 4t2 conversions. Re: the previews: too many of us were using free trials of PaintShopPro back then, and TSR limited us to 2 previews, so we did our best. Re: the styles: unlike pre-2010's CAS CC, which was full of hand painted and "realistic" textures (LOL), these are the same objects you can find in the game today, just being used in different ways! Sometimes for the first time! And, yes, while some of these creators used CC, it was mostly Homecrafter walls and floors, as you'll see below.
This was also the hey-day of CFE lot building, which has certainly fallen out of favor to more traditional builds (in part because graphics cards have improved and these types of builds don't look as good in 2024, and also because the great CFE experimenters, builders, and tutorial writers are no longer part of the community and their original discoveries are gone as well - I am happy to go down a massive rabbit hole on this piece of TS2 history if anyone else cares, but trust me, you don't have to care).
Alright that is enough caveating, here are some recs! (Links are in the creator's names and they take you to their Lots, though many of them have other creations, too).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lord Tiko Speaking of great CFE builders! Lord Tiko built spaceships, boats, pagodas, domes, windmills and bridges, oh so many bridges before retiring mid-TS2 because of health issues. He was one of the first builders to take Daihtnaoz7's single and double bridge tutorials and apply them to really big lots. I'm still not sure how he built the Venice Rialto Bridge, or his other European water lots. Overall, a massive inspiration to me when I was prioritizing CFE builds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hatshepsut My favorite "traditional" home builder, and someone I considered a friend. She specialized in English and American builds, and I had many of Hat's houses in my old saves and was impressed by her range and decorating style which was (for the time) more varied than many of her peers. Knew how to take great preview pics of her houses, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tigerblue Another builder I corresponded with, Tigerblue was probably the least prolific uploader on this list for sheer number of uploads, but she also crossed a range of styles. Her builds leaned way into specific styles (see the previews, these were all part of consistent sets of 3,4, or even 10 lots), but this was also what happened when a new EP dropped and everyone raced to uploaded builds using as many of the new objects and styles as possible. Tigerblue just happened to be better at it than most of us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cyclonesue Do current TS2 players know Cyclonesue? Because it's hard to think of someone who had a bigger impact on building and decorating of the era, first with her English and Tudor builds and later with her extremely distinct grunge creations. Seriously, check out her Urban Renewal series and the corresponding objects. Iconic stuff that surely now feels frozen in time. I probably only played 20% of her lots that I downloaded, but they still make for great hood decor. Like Tiko, someone who happily experimented with CFE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Illiana The creator who inspired me to make this list is, ironically, the one on it who I know the least about (she is a Featured Artist but not in the Hall of Fame, whatever that means). I just started playing her Tri-Annyas fraternity house and have a few other lots floating around my game. She built in a range of styles, from classical to modern to Twikki Island to grunge. Revisiting some of them in-game, the TSR previews do not do them justice.
*EXHALES* If you made it to this point, kudos to you. I'm sure there are creators I've forgotten, and houses I haven't linked to, but this is a good starting point for digging into some of the eclectic builds the TSR(chives) have to offer (I just coined that, is it clever? It is not). Maybe I'll do a Part 2 if people like this.
If you have any favorites of your own, let me know what I missed! And as I do with my old Exchange re-uploads, I am tagging @sims2packrat and @oldasscustomcontent for general TS2 history awareness!

Click. Click. Taptap tap tap. Click.
You chew aimlessly at the bottom of your lip as your mouse roves over to the latest email in your inbox, opening it with another decisive click. Perking up slightly, your eyes skim through its contents, mindful of the zip file attached to it at the top.
Valued employee, the email reads, thank you again for your decision to assist Fazbear Entertainment in the latest beta testing stages for our developing proprietary technology. Attached is the file you are required to download to begin testing. As always, be mindful of the documentation you have signed previously; a failure to comply will result in immediate termination. Located at the bottom of this email is the submission form you will need to populate each time you conduct a run. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reply to this email. Have a Faz-errific day!
You hum and scroll back to the top of the email again so you can look at the attached file. FazPals1.1_DCA.zip, it says. You click the download button, then lean back in your chair as you wait.
For being such a large company, FazCo has a rather small beta testing team. You suppose it makes sense, though; their technology is so unparalleled that you are sure they’d want to keep information as closed off as possible. Hence why you’d been forced to sign all matters of forms—contracts, an N.D.A., and waivers, of all things—before they’d signed you on. You’re sure they are even more restrictive with their information after the pizzaplex burned down all those years ago. You’re lucky you’d managed to slither your way into their ranks to make the beta team, though you figure it helps that your resume is stacked with experience.
You are certainly curious as to what they’ve been doing while they parade assurances that the pizzaplex will return “better than ever.” You have a vague idea from your past emails with management as you were being incorporated into the beta testing team—some kind of interactive game of sorts, you think—but they’ve been rather hush-hush about it. Your answer resides in the zip file that’s just finished downloading to your computer. You navigate to your file explorer and begin the extraction process for the files. Luckily, it doesn’t take too long. You scratch idly behind your ear, shifting your headphones a little to rest more comfortably atop your head.
Okay. File open. Where is the— There! You double click on the FazPals_DCA.exe file to run it and begin installation. A brief glance at the time shows it is a little after six in the evening. You have quite a bit of time before you’ll need to head to bed. You’ll see how far into the program you get before you hit a checkpoint or something.
You watch as a tiny pink and white bear on the installation window flips a pizza over and over while the progress bar steadily inches its way to full completion. It is oddly hypnotizing. And when the program finally finishes installing, the window closes. An icon of a cool crescent moon tucked into the burning yellow of a sun appears on your desktop and is labeled as FazPals. Nice. Thank you, fast WiFi. Without much preamble, you double click on the icon.
A small window pops up in the middle of your screen. You glance through the text quickly.
Welcome to version 1.1 of FazPals, your very own virtual desktop friend based on the hit characters from Fazbear Entertainment's Mega Pizzaplex! They are able to walk, talk, joke, tell stories, give fun facts, adapt, and play games! FazPals are like no other with their innovative adaptive technology! You'll learn from them as they learn from you!
Click the button below if you are ready to meet your new FazPal!
Not what you’d been expecting, but it sounds pretty cool. It reminds you of the Tamagotchis from all those years ago—only with the A.I. of Fazbear-branded technology. Well! No time like the present! You click the ‘Proceed’ button and the window closes.
In the center of your screen, a small music box appears. It’s an unassuming little thing, wrapped in yellow with a red ribbon crossing over it to tie into a neat bow at the top. A crank awaits your click, so you do just that, watching as it rotates around and around until— Pop! The box opens and something jumps out of it with a flourish and a jingle of bells that echoes through your headset.
The box disappears and you’re left to stare curiously at the little figure swaying animatedly on your desktop. He seems to look around a bit, then a small dialogue box flashes over his head. But before you can read its contents, the box disappears in a static puff. You cock your head slightly. A glitch, maybe? You file that away for later and instead observe the tiny, taut grin of the program. Your FazPal, or whatever.
You recognize him from the pizzaplex commercials you’d seen on the television years ago—the Daycare Attendant. A fellow—fellows?—modeled after celestial bodies. You’re looking at the sun, currently, though his design is a bit different from what you remember seeing.
Before you can get a good look at him, however, another dialogue box pops up over his head with text accompanying a voice that chirps into your headset. You are momentarily surprised at the sound; you hadn’t expected FazCo to incorporate their voice module into the program too.
“Hellooo, New Friend!” Sun exclaims in a slightly pixelated manner—hardly noticeable, really—as he waves a small hand. “My name is Sun, your very own F-FazPal!” There’s a slight glitch on the word that makes his voice deepen slightly, but it passes easily enough. “What’s your name?”
Following his question, a window labeled ‘Name?’ pops up to his side with a textbox for you to input your answer. Figuring he isn’t going to proceed with his script until you type your answer, you take the moment to properly analyze his design.
Detached sunrays of white and gold hover around his head, framing bright eyes and an equally as bright smile on a face split into a crescent. He’s rather lithe, with a red sash tied around his waist that’s adorned with small, golden bells. Another bell is tied around his spindly neck with a red ribbon, and those same ribbons are tied around his wrists. His torso is bare and colored in different shades of yellow. Puffy red pants cover his legs—triangularly shaped with sharp lines and edges. They are decorated in a design that reminds you of the circuitry of a motherboard—dissecting lines connected by small circles that start from his waist and make their way down the length of his pants in a trickle. Pointy shoes with little suns on their sides finish the look.
He is all angles and unforgiving points, with a digitized sort of look to him that fits the whole ‘FazPal’ aesthetic, in your opinion. It’s certainly interesting. You like the futuristic feel to it.
Pulling yourself back to the present, you type in your name. Sun has his arms crossed behind his back as he waits, swaying gently side to side. You hit enter and the window disappears.
“Lovely name!” Sun chirps, his rays spinning around his head eagerly that you eye in interest. They look like floating pieces of fractured, stained glass, dainty yet deadly. “I’m sure we are going to be the bestest best friends!” You snort at the declaration.
“To start our little quest of friendship,” Sun continues on, his head moving towards the dialogue box that pops up near him like he’s looking at it, eyes narrow. It’s honestly difficult to tell with that blank gaze of his. He returns his gaze to the front, where his eyes upturn into little crescents. “Why don’t we get to know each other? Sound good?”
Another window appears with two simple buttons sitting next to each other under it: A ‘Yes’ and a ‘No’. You click the ‘Yes’ and Sun gives an excited little clap of his hands. It’s cute, in a way. “Wonderful! Okay! To start, what iiisss your favorite color?” The open window closes, then reopens to a textbox again with the new question displayed at the top. You hum and tap your chin thoughtfully, then let your fingers fly across your keyboard as you type the color in.
You pause, however, before you hit enter and decide to tack on a ‘hbu?’ to your response. If only to satisfy your curiosity and really test the limits of FazCo’s ingenious A.I. Hey, you’re a beta tester—it speaks for itself!
Sun grins even wider, if possible. “That’s a good one! As for me…” He makes a thinking gesture, eyes narrowing like he’s contemplating it deeply, then brightens up. No, literally. A lightbulb appears over his head for a quick moment. “I like all the colors, it’s so hard to choose just one! Normally, I just say ‘rainbow’!” He makes a little semicircle gesture with his hands around his head. Little pixelated sparkles wink into and out of existence near his fingers before he clasps his hands behind him once more. You’ve got to hand it to FazCo—they certainly know how to add some flair to their characters. “Next question! If you could have any superpower ever, what would it be?”
You chew at your lip again as you lean back in your chair and ponder his question. Why is it when people ask you these kinds of questions you always blank on the answers? Sun is ever so patient as he waits, moving in that idle animation next to the open window.
Ah well, it’s not like you’re answering an interview question or anything. You wing it. ‘probably invisibility, or something. hbu?’ And enter.
“Ooh! Invisibility!” Sun nods like he’s giving his approval. “Good in the right hands! I would want the power to read minds, I think! All the better for making fantastic friends!”
You make a small sound at that. Well, you suppose that’s one way to make friends, albeit not a very… stable foundation to base a friendship off of. Sun proceeds with his next question. “This one’s a bit of a tough one! What’s your favorite word?”
‘Tough’ is an understatement. You’re stumped. You rake through your mind for a word and draw up nothing but blanks. You’re certain you have one, but you just cannot think of it at the moment. Shrugging, you type ‘idk. i can't think of one rn, sorry. do u have one?’
His head cocks to the side, grin curling at the edges. “That’s more than one word, New Friend!” Sun replies amusedly, then laughs—a loud, tinkering thing that cuts off a bit strangely at its end. “Kidding! I’ll let you off easy for that one!” He is quite good at adapting to your responses, you note lightly. Very intriguing. You wonder how that’s coded. “My favorite word is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!” You blink in surprise. The dialogue box is barely able to hold the word inside of it. You didn’t quite expect him to say that, of all words, though you guess it makes sense for him. Sun doesn’t elaborate, just transitions merrily through the next part of his script. “Now, for this question, I need you to be as detailed as possible, okay? It is”—he pauses for a second—“essential.”
You nod, but it’s not like he can see you, so you end up looking like a fool. Sun stares straight ahead and it… it feels a bit like he’s looking directly at you. You shift uneasily in your seat and watch his eyes go dark along with his white rays and wide smile. Abyss-like. Something drops in the pit of your stomach at the abrupt switch. His smile widens. It cracks like he’s on the edge of something hysterical. And when he speaks, it’s in a low, garbled voice that grates at your ears.
“Where.” He grits out. “Are—”
He doesn’t get the chance to finish. A glitch encompasses his body that makes his rays twitch erratically and his limbs to jitter about like he’s being electrocuted. You jerk back out of surprise and consider exiting the hell out of the program. But then he’s back to normal like nothing had ever happened. White eyes stare up at you with an equally as white smile.
“Oh!” Sun exclaims cheerfully, swaying about gently. You’re taken aback and, quite frankly, confused out of your goddamn mind. “Silly me, look at the time! I’m afraid our friendship will have to wait! There’s someone else who’d like to meet you!”
“What.” You utter the word mindlessly, eyes flicking down to the time on your computer. 6:59 P.M. Time sure did fly by through all of… that. You’re not entirely sure what to think of it.
“Talk to you soon, New Friend!” Sun waves a hand in farewell, then spins himself around in a little animated tornado. You can only stare, oddly transfixed and still utterly flummoxed, as he spins around, and around, and around until the clock changes to 7:00 P.M. and he slows to an elegant stop.
Only, it’s not Sun you’re looking at anymore.
The rays are gone, replaced with a nightcap covering his head that’s adorned with twinkling stars and a little bell at the end. All the yellows have shifted to greys, blues, and blacks, though he still retains the golden bells, red ribbons, and red sash. His pants are a midnight blue with the same circuitry design, and his shoes now have little moons etched into them instead of suns.
This must be the moon, you conclude once you’re done observing him. The other half to the Daycare Attendant you remember seeing via advertisement—the one who’d been in charge of naptime.
You watch as Moon seems to look around. You’re not sure what he’s looking at, but you can only wait. Gentle ruby eyes move from your desktop icons to the open window that Sun had been standing next to. His smile turns jagged like the outline of a mountain. And then—
And then he slinks away, disappearing straight off of your monitor without a second look. You’re left staring at the open window, the cursor still blinking in the textbox and awaiting your input. What… just happened? You blink at where he’d disappeared off screen and wait a few moments. But he doesn’t come back.
What the hell?
Five minutes turns into ten, which turns into fifteen and then twenty, but he truly does not return. You’re stupefied.
Maybe you should restart the program? You nibble at your lower lip and right click on the FazPals icon so you can end it and then boot it back up again. Your mouse turns into that loading circle of death, and you swear you’re not holding your breath in anticipation or anything, but it sure does feel like it.
Loading… loading… loading…
Nothing. Zip, zilch, nada. Moon does not appear. You groan and scratch at your ear again, shifting your headphones. Day one of testing and you’ve already run into a problem. Great. Well, it wasn’t like you’d expected everything to be smooth sailing. Still annoying, though. Just in case, you try restarting your computer.
It doesn’t yield any results either, and you end up just watching some videos as you wait to see if the bug will magically fix itself. Spoiler alert, it doesn’t and you eventually give up as the clock ticks closer to midnight.
But well—you think as you slowly pull up the submission form FazCo had sent you for your job to fill out—you suppose this is why the program’s still in the testing phase. It obviously has some kinks that need to be ironed out. Hopefully it’ll get fixed up in the next patch update. Until then, you’ll just have to deal with it.
Tumblr media
A benefit of working from home? You get to set your own schedule. A blessing, at times.
That unfortunately means you have to stick to it while ensuring you’re properly taking care of yourself, and going outside to get fresh air, and also getting all the necessary work done on time, and also—
Well, you get the point.
You wake up groggy the next day and stumble your way out of your room, just barely managing to step over the little Roomba aimlessly bumbling down the small hallway. At one point it was another product you were testing, but then it was given the green flag for mass production and admission to stores. The company let you keep the one they sent you. It was a little finicky, but it worked just fine. You named it Chicken Nugget a while ago—Dr. Nugget for short, because a Roomba with a PhD was just too amusing to pass up. You’re still musing over what area its PhD is in.
There is much to be done. Dishes from last night need to be washed, food needs to be prepared to last you a few days, timesheets need to be filled out before you forget your hours. It’s easy to multitask on household chores while you do your job. You're on the beta testing team for quite a few companies, so you’re kept busy evaluating their programs and products while you julienne onions and clean plates. You earn enough to live comfortably, and it’s all you can ever ask for, really.
Eventually, after a long day of being a responsible human being and submitting numerous evaluation forms for various applications, you plop down in front of your computer with your headphones and turn it on. Evening has just started to creep in, turning the sky into a picturesque gradient of burnt mandarin and dusty magenta. Your desk is right by a window, so it’s nice to draw the curtains back and let fresh air circulate around the room from it.
Alright, computer on. You type in your password to log in and wait as it finishes booting up. First thing on your list—check your email. There’s nothing of importance, not that you’d expected anything, really. Oh hey, you’ve got a discount code for your next purchase at your favorite pizza store. Sweet. You save it for later.
All you have to do is test FazCo’s program and then you can relax for the rest of the night. You preemptively open up their submission form and minimize the window, then double click on the FazPals icon. Hopefully you won’t run into any problems. Code is weird like that—working perfectly fine at one moment and doing fuck all the next. And it’s always a pain filling those surveys out when there’s an abundance of bugs and glitches to point out. It’s simple, but oh so tedious. You guess that’s what you’re getting paid for, though.
Blinking back to attention, you squint at your empty desktop then double click on the FazPals icon again. Ah, there you go. Loading symbol.
Instead of the little music box like you’d been expecting, Sun comes into view by cartwheeling in from the side of your monitor. It’s silly and you smile slightly as he jumps up to his feet and splays his arms and a leg out wide like he’s about to fall into another cartwheel.
“New Friend!” he exclaims loudly alongside the text in his dialogue box, rays spinning rapidly about his head in delight. You wince slightly and lower your volume a bit. No need to kill your eardrums. “You’re back! It has been twenty-two hours, nine minutes, and thirty-seven seconds since we last interacted!”
Your brow raises at his precision, but what else did you expect from a computer program? Sun relaxes into his normal stance and leans forward eagerly. “So! What do you wanna do?” A small, labeled window pops up next to him for you to type in. One of his rays twitches slightly. “For a list of activities I can perform, type ‘/help’!”
You’ve already forgotten what he can do other than walk around and talk your ear off, so you do just that and the window disappears. You didn’t even have to hit enter.
Sun beams. “For your present and future reference, I can tell jokes, give fun facts, play games, and storytell! Pick your poison, New Friend!”
You ponder for a bit, then type ‘can u tell me a fun fact?’ in the new window before it pops out of sight, again before you can press enter. Huh. You make a note of it mentally. The back and forth with the windows is going to take some getting used to.
“I sure can!” Sun does a little wiggle and stands at full attention with his arms crossed behind his back. “Did you know that neutron stars spin six hundred times per second? Pretty cool!” He seems very cheery today. You’ll have to keep an eye out for any more of that strange glitching from yesterday. “Want another one?”
Eh, you don’t see why not. You shrug and click the ‘Yes’ button when it appears. Sun gives a little salute. “The most water ever discovered surrounds a black hole about twelve billion lightyears away! It has the equivalent of one hundred and forty trillion times the volume of Earth’s oceans!” You’re starting to see a theme here with his fun facts and it honestly checks out. Sun’s rays spin a little to the right as he tilts his head slightly. “That was two facts in one, technically. Just for you! Don’t tell anyone!!” And then he winks, accompanied by a little star spinning out from his eye. It’s a small detail, but it still makes you smile. Consider you charmed.
“Alrighty! I have an idea of what we can do next!” Sun says as he skips away to the edge of your monitor. You watch him curiously as he sticks a hand beyond your desktop—somewhere offscreen?—and starts pulling over a large open window from it. Like he’s unraveling a spool of paper. He drags the window over to the center of your screen, then wipes his face with his arm and takes an exaggerated breath. “Phew! That’s heavier than it looks! Luckily, I’ve got these to help me!” He flexes his stick-like arms dramatically, posing this way and that like he’s a pro wrestler.
You notice, as he poses, that another small window pops up—indistinct and unlabeled this time with a simple textbox for you to type in. But he… didn’t really ask you a question or anything of the sorts for you to respond to? You eye it for a moment, then decide to type a little ‘hi’ in it to see if it’s a bug or something. After waiting a few seconds to see if the window will close again without you hitting enter, nothing really happens. Oh, is it fixed now? You hit enter and the text disappears, but the window stays. You guess it is. Code, man. So finicky.
Sun stops flexing to shoot you a bright beam with a spin of his rays. “Hello!”
Okay, maybe it’s not a bug if he can still process your texts. Shrugging it off easily, you turn your attention to the window Sun had pulled over from who-knows-where. It looks like your computer’s Paint app. How did he open that? ‘what’s that for?’ you type into the textbox.
“This is for us to play some games, silly!” Sun brandishes his hands towards the Paint window like he’s presenting a masterpiece. “How does Tic-Tac-Toe sound?”
Well, not like you have any other ideas for what to do. ‘sure, let’s play.’
“Faz-tastic!” Sun claps his hands, then reaches into his pocket and pulls out a comically large wooden pencil from its depths. Seriously, it’s nearly the length of his arm. It’s like something right out of a cartoon and you grin at the silliness. He steps closer to the Paint window and draws four perfectly straight and intersecting lines—each of them the same length and splitting into the same sized boxes and everything. He then draws a perfect circle in one of the corner boxes and steps back. “Your turn!”
You crack your knuckles and roll your shoulders. Okay. Time to lock in and kick this program’s ass.
Except you don’t.
You lose horribly. Seven times in a row, in fact.
‘r u cheating? ur cheating, aren’t u,’ you type into the open textbox, which had remained in place all throughout your games. Unusual, but you’re not too bothered by it. After you lost the first few rounds, you started complaining to him using it. You figured you might as well. It’s almost like having a conversation with him and you’re pretty impressed by his verbal versatility.
“Cheating?!” Sun squawks, offended. He splays a hand across his chest as he somehow manages to twirl his giant pencil in his hand like a baton. “A rulebreaker, I am not! I think someone is getting a little grumpy!” He gives you a pointed grin.
You should have expected you’d lose to fucking A.I. software. You run your tongue over your bottom lip, where you’d been incessantly troubling it with your teeth throughout the rather merciless Tic-Tac-Toe beating you’d just received. You’re considering mentioning in the submission form that the program is too difficult to beat at games, but maybe you’re just that bad at them. Your ego’s definitely going through it.
‘i’m not grumpy,’ you grumble. Sun shakes his little digital head in good mirth, seeing right through you, of course. You switch topics. ‘let’s play something else. got any other games?’
“I sure do, Friend!” He uses his pencil eraser to clear the Paint canvas and starts drawing what looks like a game of Hangman. He gives you a sly smile. “Think you’re up for a real challenge?” Cheeky!
After some rounds of Hangman and Pictionary (which, to your pleasant surprise, you’re not too bad at, but maybe Sun’s taking pity on you), Sun eventually closes the Paint window and makes a show of stretching languidly. “My time’s almost up, I’m afraid!” Sure enough, a quick glance at the time shows it’s nearing seven o’clock. Time flies when you’re having fun. “Make sure to stretch your back and arms out, Friend! Hydration is also important!”
‘yes boss, u got it, boss,’ you reply before stretching out your arms. You have a water bottle on your desk that you take a quick drink out of, the liquid inside of the insulated material still cool and refreshing. You shiver a little and eye your window still letting the night air into the room. You should close that soon. And maybe turn on the lights so you’re not sitting in the dark illuminated only by your bright screen.
Naturally, you do neither. Too much work right now.
Sun wiggles a little, then clasps his arms behind his back. “This was fun! I will talk to you tomorrow, Friend!” His grin widens, curling at the edges. “Don’t keep me waiting too long!”
And before you can really process the tone of that, he pulls out a red curtain from somewhere behind him. Shaking it out slightly, he pulls it up in front of him to block your view of his little figure entirely. You raise an eyebrow as the curtain wiggles and protrudes out like he’s changing into new clothes, before eventually it falls down and reveals Moon. His nightcap is pulled down to partially cover his glowing ruby eyes.
You lean forward in your chair, attention instantly grabbed. Will he work properly this time? You consider him for a moment as he simply stands there—sullen and, dare you say, annoyed. His eyes are narrowed and his mouth is pulled into a scowl. He shifts like he wants to move or leave, but something keeps him rooted into the same spot Sun was just in. His hands are tucked into the pockets of his pants (he has pockets??) and he slouches like a puppet cut from its strings.
He’s not saying anything. Only glares off at a point somewhere on your screen. You bite the inside of your cheek and decide to take one for the (nonexistent) team.
‘hi moon,’ you type into the textbox that’d remained even after Sun left. Pressing enter, you watch curiously as something tense seems to line Moon’s small shoulders and he moves his glare to the open window instead.
His head twitches. “Hi,” he replies slowly in a raspy voice. It’s not what you’d expected, low and murmured like he’s speaking to someone in a dark and quiet corner. His gaze darts to the dialogue box that pops up next to his head and seems to narrow even farther.
Oookay. He doesn’t say anything else. Is he still bugged or is he just programmed to be much quieter than Sun? You’re not sure if that makes sense for this type of program, though. You try to nudge the conversation again, thinking back to the list of commands Sun gave you earlier. ‘can u tell me a joke?’
Moon seems to look at you and it’s just as creepy as it had been when Sun did it. His scowl deepens. “No.”
You’re taken aback. No? Oh. Well. Maybe you should try something else? ‘can u tell me a fun fact?’ At least you know this command works for certain.
“No.”
It’s like pulling teeth over here.
You’re determined, however. This is your entire job. ‘what about a story?’
“No.” Moon bares knife-like teeth at you in aggravation and you’re tempted to do the same thing back. He doesn’t want to do anything! Something is definitely… off. You make a note of it to include in the submission form later. At least he hasn’t left your screen. You’ll take the win where you can.
You’re stumped on what to do. The only thing you can think of is to keep inputting commands until something gives. Maybe things will sort themselves out? You try asking for a fun fact or joke again, but Moon still just scowls and answers in that same clipped manner. His fidgeting seems to increase.
You’re getting close to calling it quits. ‘why don’t we play a game or something? tic-tac-toe?’
“P-Persistent little thing,” Moon growls into your headset and it’s such a reprieve from the constant rejections that you’re not even offended. You perk up slightly only to deflate at his following words. “Didn’t anyone teach you that ‘no’ means no?”
‘no,’ you type as a response—partly in annoyance and partly just to be snarky. Moon twitches again, and then in the blink of an eye—he glitches.
Similar to Sun, it spreads down his body in a wave and makes him jitter until he snaps back into place like a rubber band. He flexes his hands and takes a step to the side—tentative and exploratory. The window with the textbox pops out of existence and Moon gives you one final, narrowed glare before he just… leaves offscreen. Again. What the fuck?
You scrub a hand down your face and groan. You don’t expect him to return, but just in case you wait around a little and kill some time by filling out the submission form. Name, program version, strengths, encountered issues, and so on. You submit the form when you finish and roll your shoulders. Yeah, he doesn’t come back. At least there was some progress compared to yesterday.
You end the day with a final squint at the FazPals icon and a shrug of your shoulders. Things could be worse, you suppose as you power off your computer and stare at your reflection through the dark screen of your monitor. Hopefully tomorrow brings more improvement.

Today I have a mixed bag of goodies to offer up to this amazing Sims 2 community! Under the cut, you’ll find preview pictures, more information, and the download link!
Tumblr media
@daydreamingdrawerette requested a few 4t2 lamps, and here they are in all their glory... along with one I wanted for myself. In order from top to bottom, left to right...
Interrogation Illumination (Lighting > Ceiling) from Get to Work.
The Forgotten Saucer (Lighting > Ceiling) from Journey to Batuu.
Dollop O’ Light (Lighting > Wall) from the Base Game.
The Beamer (Lighting > Ceiling) from Get to Work.
In the Raw Industrial Table Lamp (Lighting > Table) from the Base Game.
Tumblr media
As I said in my last post, @sofia-28tosi-blog had requested some 4t2 counters, so I did a couple more for her. This is the “Whittler’s Pride Kitchen Counter” from Cottage Living. All recolors are included... with a great big asterisk attached, which I will explain now.
The mapping for Sims 4 counters is extremely different from Sims 2 counters, but in order for sinks to place properly in counters, the countertop can’t be remeshed/changed. I had to choose between 100% Sims 4 accurate aesthetics or functionality... and functionality is going to win every single time. Rather than use the countertop textures from Sims 4, I used the texture of @cluedosims / @shastakiss‘ Cluedo woods, but colormatched to the original Sims 4 textures. There is barely a difference in colors, and honestly... Shasta’s wood texture is nicer than EAxis’ in my opinion.
There are ten base recolors and seven countertop recolors (not all pictured). They are separate subsets... you can mix and match to your heart's content. Countertops have a clean and messy state. And as I already said... sinks will place properly.
Thank you Shasta for sharing your resources!
Tumblr media
This is the “VAULT Modular Counter” from the Base Game. As I said before... I sacrificed 100% original Sims 4 textures for functionality. I wanted a wood grain that was as close as the original as possible, which sadly made the Cluedo texture not a good match for these, but after some googling, I found a conversion of a floor by @fakebloood that was originally by PralineSims (you can find the floors here) that I used as a base for the texture, then color matched to the original countertops.
There are 15 bases and 15 countertop recolors (not all pictured). They are separate subsets so you can mix and match. Countertops have a clean and messy state and sinks place properly.
Tumblr media
Next up... I have the “Haughty Herringbone Fireplace” from Growing Together. It can be found in Appliances > Miscellaneous and is fully functional. All recolors are included.
Last, but certainly not least is the “Wub Tub Electromagic DJ Booth” and get this... it’s fully functional! Sims 2 DJ booths have a platform that Sims 4 DJ booths do not, and I honestly have no idea how to change that... so I added the platform in by cloning a 3t2 dj booth by FabulousZombie on LJ. I used their platform as a base (since the ones in Sims 2 are just ugly) and built atop it. The platform is not recolorable, but the booth itself is. Many thanks to FabulousZombie, and you can find their 3t2 dj booths here.
All recolors for all objects are included. Each object is in an individual folder containing pictures of each recolor so you can pick and choose what you want. Make sure you discard the images once you’ve decided what to keep. Files are compressorized.

Hello, I absolutely adore the clothing you make for children, infants, toddlers, they are so cute!
However, I am aware of the fact that you do post your CC on Curseforge in addition to your own website and Patreon and given that the company that owns Curseforge, is them is an Israeli company that did a crowdfunding campaign for the IDF which supports the ongoing genocide against Palestinians, I want to ask if you could remove your downloads from Curseforge entirely. I hope this doesn't come off as demanding or aggressive in any way, but by divesting from Curseforge, we also divest from Israel's economy completely and perhaps it seems small in comparison, but it would be a small way to show support for Palestine. Thank you for listening, and again, I hope I don't come off as impolite in any way.
Hello to anon and everyone who might have been waiting for a response from me. I want to thank you for treating me with respect and that I have not (yet) received any threatening messages or similar. It is very difficult for me to write the following message in my native language, let alone post a translated version of it. Everything I write here comes from the heart and merely describes my personal situation.
First of all, I want to express that I, personally, and my internet persona "PowLuna" in no way stand for oppression, violence, exclusion, or worse. The situation has certainly not passed me by—quite the opposite. The discourse on the topic has caused me to engage deeply with the subject, keep myself regularly updated, and talk a lot about it in my personal environment, educating others. Due to experiences I had as a teenager, I no longer express my opinions regarding a lot of topics on the internet. However, I must do so now because it is very important to me and it currently affects my daily life significantly in terms of depression and existential fears.
I want to express my sorrow for all the suffering that people in Gaza and all Palastinians endure daily. The things one encounters on the internet are cruel and heartbreaking, and denying that something terrible is happening there is wrong. I feel the same about all atrocities happening anywhere in the world, whether far away or in my neighborhood. I hope every day for peace throughout the world. A utopian wish, I know.
Now to what might be controversial: I will not participate in the boycott against CurseForge. At least not as far as requested. I no longer actively promote the links for it; that was a kind of compromise I could make. You can judge me for this or not. But let me first describe my situation. I believe that pressuring individual small creators is not the right way in this situation, as you can never guess who is behind the internet personas and what stories they carry with them.
I come from a family that has always lived in poverty. After finishing school and completing an apprenticeship, I thought about studying so that I could do more with my potential. I moved away for my studies and had to stand completely on my own feet. I had saved a little money. For the rest of the support and because a part-time job would have hindered my ability to perform well, I applied for financial aid from the state. This is possible here in Germany. I can keep half of the money, and the other half I have to pay back after my studies. All well and good. While studying, I found a great interest in creating custom content and sharing it with others. I taught myself more and more skills and gradually shared them with others because I really enjoy to help people.
In 2022, I decided to make money with what I do. So, I had to register a business. That's mandatory here. I started with Patreon, where I gathered some subscribers who believed in my potential from the start, for which I am very grateful. I always appeal to the good in people, worked "hard," uploaded more and more stuff to convince people, and get more voluntary subscribers. This didn’t work out as expected. So, I switched to an early access model, which actually brought more subscribers, but I wasn't really happy with it, so I moved away from it a few months later. I lost more and more subs over time, while still giving the same effort as before.
Shortly after, I was invited to the CurseForge project, to which I confidently agreed because I already knew CurseForge and saw a lot of potential for the Sims area. I also find the platform really good and many changes I wished for were implemented. And yes, CurseForge has given me a steady income since then, sometimes more, sometimes less, but still far from what I made with voluntary subscribers on Patreon. I felt really proud because I suddenly earned good money with something I am passionate about. And I did it all by myself!
But this income brought new obligations: I have to pay taxes. Additionally, I no longer receive financial support from the state and won't be able to get it again.
The whole discourse has shown me that self-employment always carries a risk when you rely on a platform, so I switched back to the Patreon early access model for more security. However, I still can't live off that alone. Therefore, I continue to host my creations on CurseForge. Considering their statement from a few months ago and because I believe in the good in people, I don't see a problem with it. Of course, the economic aspect plays a role, but I am also not "clean" when I pay my taxes here in Germany, which are then used for the same purpose.
To demand that I delete all my stuff means taking away my livelihood and existence. I don't think that's fair. And yes, I know this is privileged, and my fears are not comparable to the fears of people in Gaza. Never.
All this does not mean that I am indifferent. As I said, I talk to other people about the topic, I inform myself, and as soon as I am able and have saved some money, I want to support the children in the region with donations. This has always been my approach to conflicts and crises around the world.
It is important to keep talking about the topic so that hopefully, one day, it will reach the people who can put an end to the horror.
Thank you for reading. If anything is unclear, please feel free to ask.

Yuki Kajiura Live Vol.#19 Kaji Fes.2023 Day 1 & Day 2
As mentioned earlier this week, I FINALLY received my Kaji Fes 23 Blu-ray LE box! BANZAI! Got to watch both days on my big screen, it was amazing! The audio has definitely improved, it's not as dull as it was in the TV broadcast. And of course we got almost all the cut songs in the home video release. That KnGnN performance was better than I had remembered. Joelle was a great fit here and they all blended together nicely.
I certainly don't want to withhold anything from you so I've uploaded my BD rips to the [2024.05.29] Yuki Kajiura Live Vol.#19 Kaji Fes.2023 Day 1 & 2 Google Drive folder. The link can also be found on my "Yuki Kajiura/FJ LIVES HQ Masterpost" so be sure to check that out!
♪ PLEASE ENJOY ♪ ❗FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY❗
While you can no longer order the LE box-set, you can still purchase the regular Blu-rays! I highly encourage everyone to support YK and buy the official releases! Day 1 @ CD Japan Day 2 @ CD Japan
❗Attention❗
Before I get any complaints on the matter. Please be aware that there is a download quota limit to every Google file. If too many people are downloading a file, the limit will be temporarily exceeded and you'll get an error message. There's nothing I can do about that. Usually, my posts don't get too much traction so I'm assuming not a lot of people are actually downloading my stuff but of course there are probably some lurkers and I obviously can't stop anyone from reposting my download links to other sites. As a bypass you can try downloading the entire folder as ZIP. In most cases, that should work.

Okay, I have maybe a bit random question and just decided to ask you because I couldn't think anyone else as I don't have friends who are army and I'm very bad at keeping up with stuff and being active member of the community. 🙈🙈🙈 I was just wondering do you know any people, websites, channels etc. that will (most likely) stream or download Are You Sure?! for Disney+less Army to watch? I think I saw you talking about someone who does it at some point when BTS Disney+ documentary came, if I remember correctly.. I'm seriously battling about what should I do, because I really don't want to subscribe to Disney+ again because I know there is nothing else I will watch, I'm not made of money and it will take me FOREVER to cancel the subscribtion because I'm neurodiverged bitch who can't get things done even if they are simple af. BUT I really want to see the show and I feel like I will be soooo impatient to wait for some opportunity to watch it all at once. So please heeeelp! Someone! Anyone! 😭😭😭 (Also how are you feeling about the show? Excited? Impatient? I certainly am. 🌚)
Lol! I've got you!
My favorite account who upload full BTS content for us are
qdeoks, our queen
https://deokdeokgoose.com/
And another favorite is @3cmgoogie who uploads so much as well!
Hope that helps! Check twt for links too. Alot of people will end up sharing some Im sure. I'll post some links here too if I can

BEFORE
Isaac – Before
Gabriel radiated heat in the dimly lit room, close enough that Isaac could feel Gabriel’s breath on his neck. Close enough to touch.
They weren’t touching.
Gabriel’s arms were braced on the wall on either side of Isaac’s head, inches away. The desk lamp flickered shadows and illuminations beautiful and strange over his handsome face. His eyes, this close, were a dark rich brown like fertile soil or chocolate. Something that promised sweetness to come.
Isaac’s heart raced. His skin tingled, imagining touch. Dangerous, magnifying touch. Desperate, wanting touch when so few people ever touched his bare skin. Certainly not like that.
“I don’t have to,” Gabriel said. “I could just make you feel what I’d do if that would be easier for you.”
Isaac wound his fingers into the front of Gabriel’s soft cotton t-shirt, keeping him close. Needing to hold something.
Outside, the city buzzed with students returning from bars, the electric hum of streets at night. In Gabriel’s bedroom, it was quiet. It was quiet and so very loud with the pounding of Isaac’s heart in his ears, with the sound of his breath a little too shallow already.
He swallowed. What about you?
I don’t find it unpleasant to make you feel good, Isaac.
A smile curled Gabriel’s lips and the thought was like a caress – this close up it was dazzling. Isaac had, admittedly, always been a little obsessed with Gabriel’s mouth. It was a clever mouth. A lovely mouth. A wicked bright mouth that could convince him of pretty much anything from the moment they met, but rarely felt the need to. Isaac found himself staring at that mouth for too long, for hours on end.
It didn’t take hours for a telepath to figure his staring out.
“You don’t find it unpleasant,” Isaac huffed aloud. “High praise.”
Gabriel laughed, softly. “You’re gorgeous. I’m crazy about you. Is that better?”
Fuck, he shouldn’t be allowed to say such things. Isaac’s chest did some utterly stupid flip. He still didn’t get how Gabriel could say such things so easily, how he could say them at all.
But none of that was the point or maybe it was everything.
Isaac released a shivering breath. He steeled his nerve, even if Gabriel must know already, had to know. “I don’t want you just in my head,” he confessed. “I want—” He couldn’t say it. Too much of a coward.
I want this to be real.
Gabriel moved one hand off the wall, slowly so Isaac could follow. “May I?”
Isaac nodded, even if the confirmation must have been obvious enough in his thoughts to Gabriel already.
Gabriel’s fingertips brushed along his bare cheek, first skimming along his jaw.
All of the power in Isaac lit up. It burned. It stretched. Gabriel’s head must be flooded with the thoughts of the whole city as Isaac’s power magnified him at the touch, but he didn’t take his eyes off Isaac for a second. He didn’t seem distracted for a second – as if Isaac was somehow the most fascinating, absorbing thing in the whole world.
Isaac closed his eyes.
He parted his lips as Gabriel’s fingers mapped them. His breath had caught somewhere in his throat.
Gabriel had touched him before, carefully, like Isaac was beyond precious. Like how you fed a starving man; lightly, in small increments, so he didn’t vomit up desperately needed sustenance for its rich indulgences. Too much in its goodness to bear.
But Gabriel had never touched him with this intent before.
“It’s real,” Gabriel said in his ear. “This is real, Isaac. I’m here. It’s alright.”
Isaac uncurled his fingers from their death grip on Gabriel’s shirt and, quivering, smoothed his hands down. He mapped out over clothes first, the distancing folds of fabric that he knew so well by now.
Gabriel charted his skin with his fingertips, stroking Isaac’s brows and temples and the bridge of his nose. He slid the other hand warm beneath Isaac’s jumper, each trace a blazing trail.
Isaac opened his eyes.
It was real. Gabriel couldn’t use his telepathy now, not against him, not so long as his hands remained on Isaac’s skin. It was real and if the world crumbled and if someone fell down dead and bleeding across the city with the force of Gabriel’s powers spiralling out of control, it didn’t show on his face.
Gabriel didn’t look miles away. He still looked right there with Isaac, crowding him up against the bedroom wall. Sitting together on the bed, Gabriel hovering over him – perfectly in control.
Isaac tugged him down, once, to straddle his lap. Still clothed but nonetheless.
“You are so goddamn beautiful, Isaac Morton,” Gabriel said.
Isaac seized the nape of his neck then and dragged him into a kiss. It was a clumsy thing, eager, graceless, fucking fantastic.
Gabriel’s breath hitched with surprise before he kissed back, pressing Isaac further against the wall.
Isaac’s world dripped away into heat, into fragment. The warmth of Gabriel’s tongue, the sharp nip of his teeth. It claimed his mouth first and, after a panting pause for breath, Gabriel found his throat. He kissed more frantic now, like Isaac might vanish beneath him in an instant.
Isaac was lost to sensation, to pleasure, putty as always when it came to him. He caught Gabriel’s chin to drag him into another kiss. Getting better with each one. Copying.
He’d never kissed anyone before Gabriel. He’d never dared.
Isaac ground his hips up slowly, friction not enough between two pairs of jeans, and the jeans themselves feeling abruptly rather too tight.
Gabriel pulled back, but only to shuffle Isaac along the bed, to guide him to lay down flat beneath him so his mouth could find new areas to catalogue and worship. How could he possibly be so patient, for all of his urgency?
“Gabriel.”
Gabriel hummed against his skin and paused with his hands curled around the bottom of Isaac’s jumper. “May I take it off?”
Yes.
There was a beat, no movement, nothing.
Gabriel?
Gabriel took his hands off Isaac.
The power vanished.
Gabriel could hear his thoughts again and his expression cleared, though he gave Isaac a look. “You’re going to have to be a bit more verbal,” he reminded, with some amusement.
“Yes,” Isaac said, a bit dazed. He felt kissed senseless. As if that wasn’t obvious. He reached for Gabriel’s shirt, and his own followed.
Gabriel didn’t immediately put his hands back down though, head cocked, straddling Isaac’s hips. “You know,” he said, as if this was just a casual conversation. “One day I really am going to do this to you with telepathy alone, just so I can feel your thoughts come apart like this. You’re better than a symphony.”
Colour rushed Isaac’s cheeks and he scowled at Gabriel, stomach making another flip.
How must the world seem to Gabriel? So exposed at its most intimate layers, emotion and thought ribbons for him to wind and examine as he pleased. How must Isaac seem to him, now? Half-naked, chest heaving, lips kiss flushed and eyes dark with need.
Thoughts – it was like pink elephants. Knowing Gabriel was listening made his head whirl like a spinning top, flashing carnival lights or carnal delights. Every filthy thing, every secret, every unspoken wish. And Gabriel, sitting there watching him, hearing it all.
It was too much.
The fear prickled, because to be seen like that…utterly stripped bare without chance of a hiding place…because to be seen like that in all darkness as well as light and still have Gabriel want him at the end of it all, love him at the end of it all…was terrifying. Wonderful, impossible, terrifying.
Gabriel kissed him right before Isaac lost it and dragged him down, unable to bear it. The world around them blazed, his own powers lighting up inside him like a solar flare once more, and that was almost too much too.
But the ghosts vanished – all seeing creature back to boy again, melting against him. Gabriel, against him, hard and moaning into his mouth. Gabriel kissing every single coherent thought out of his head again, until all the world was once more the scraps of contact between them and the heady rush of tongue and teeth and nails scraping gently along his sides.
Gabriel moved faster now, hands fumbling Isaac’s jeans and shoving them away to join his jumper and his socks on the floor.
Isaac tossed Gabriel’s away too, hands smoother, touch less faltering. Gabriel made it easy; encouraging words and praise a never ending stream of sound like small buoys to keep Isaac steady in the storm. Small buoys that shook his world all over again with every “You’re fantastic,” “just like that,” “Isaac.”
How Gabriel managed to make Isaac’s name sound quite so much like plea and prayer and perfection all at once was beyond him. He said it like the five letters could contain entire languages between two syllables, voice rough with pleasure.
He kissed down Isaac’s chest, his belly, along his hip and paused again.
He took his hands off again for a moment – Isaac could have kicked him for taking his hands away, not wanting to lose contact for even a second now that he finally had it. He had it and the world hadn’t fallen apart. Nothing bad had happened.
And it was real, Gabriel was there. His mouth was inches from Isaac’s cock.
“May I?” Gabriel asked again.
“You can hear my thoughts,” Isaac said hoarsely.
“I know.”
Isaac swallowed, studying Gabriel’s face for a moment. He reached out, carding a dark curl away from Gabriel’s forehead. Brushing his fingers over Gabriel’s temple, above where he imagined the hulking and unstoppable powerhouse of Gabriel’s powers lay.
Unstoppable by the world, in Isaac’s hands. Unstoppable, except against Isaac, when in his hands. He steeled himself, mouth dry. “I really fucking like you, Gabriel De Vere.”
There were a dozen ways Gabriel could have reacted to those words, barely admitted, certainly never aloud. Words were too bold. Words were a commitment where thoughts were flighty.
Isaac thought his heart might jump right out of his chest.
Gabriel’s eyes softened, but he simply flashed a grin. “No shit, so can I suck you off or not?”
Tension Isaac didn’t know he’d been holding vanished and he snorted. That easy, huh? Of course it was. Everything was easier with him. “Yes,” he said, with a smirk of his own. “You may.”
Gabriel ducked his head down and Isaac came undone.
Slowly, like how you might feed a starving man who would die without a bite. A graze of teeth, a press of tongue. Slowly, like you never wanted the moment to end. Slowly, until it wasn’t slow and Isaac was a wreck, until he came with a cry – hands clenched in Gabriel’s hair and Gabriel’s name on his lips like a three syllable alphabet that contained all the secrets of the universe.
Gabriel leaned up to kiss his throat and didn’t take his hands away, though Isaac was all bliss with no thoughts to know beyond it.
“Perfect, Isaac," Gabriel whispered against his ear.
Isaac pulled him close.
Gabriel – Before
Gabriel pressed Isaac up against the bedroom wall the second the door shut behind them and kissed him.
His breath caught; the sound muffled into the hot claim of Isaac’s mouth. His head flooded with the world, with a dozen thoughts, with unimaginable power and yet he felt weak at the knees faced with the boy in front of him. He felt entirely off his head already. His hands flailed, not sure where to touch yet, or if he was allowed to.
Isaac laughed, delighted, against his lips. It was an open, lovely sound, uninhibited for once.
Gabriel’s grip tightened desperately on the front of his hoodie. Hoodie was fine. No skin.
The day had been a beautiful sort of unbearable. Isaac’s thoughts had been a bonfire of desires, wants and ideas that he was entirely too aware of Gabriel listening to. He offered them up with amused eyes, carrying on politely all the while with everyone else.
There had been times – several times – when Gabriel had been tempted to have Isaac right there and then. He could probably make everyone else in the room piss off and leave them alone, or conveniently forget that it ever happened. He probably would have if it had been a house party, some less important thing.
Isaac had been exhibiting some of his artwork for one of his end of term projects; huge charcoal comic strips, bold and striking in the studio light. There had been wine. Aperitifs on tiny little cocktail sticks. Gabriel couldn’t just wreck that.
“You are maddening,” he told Isaac helplessly. “Mind in the goddamn gutter.”
Isaac laughed harder and nipped his lip, playfully. “It’s not my fault. You’re the one who was standing there looking like that. What was I supposed to be thinking about?”
“Your artwork. Your very important, beautiful artwork.”
He couldn’t hear Isaac’s thoughts to that, this close, but he felt the next answering kiss all the same. Pleased.
Of course, he knew that Isaac had been nervous. He hadn’t enjoyed all those people crowding around and thinking of him, or his art, of noticing him at all. He thought it dangerous. So he distracted himself by thinking about Gabriel instead, Gabriel knew that. But it didn’t make it any less agonizing to keep his hands to himself.
“They loved it,” he said, softer. “They loved you.” How could they not?
Isaac kissed him again until he was breathless, drawing him closer with an eager sound. “Which was your favourite?” he whispered.
“Comic strip or fantasy?”
Isaac shrugged, cheeks hot.
Fantasy then, if Isaac couldn’t actually say it aloud.
Gabriel hummed and considered for a moment, taking the opportunity to slide his palms beneath Isaac’s shirt, feeling him shiver. Torn.
He liked, as Isaac knew, the thought of taking Isaac apart with his telepathy alone. He liked the thought of feeling him crumple, undone with pleasure, unable to hide a damn thing of his emotions or just how much he was Gabriel’s. He liked, too, the thought of doing it with his hands, with his lips, until Isaac offered up everything in his head aloud. Visible in his pleas, his moans, the arch of his body against Gabriel’s chest. That was always good. Isaac was more used to touch now, but he was still sensitive to it.
Gabriel’s heart hammered. He shifted his knee forward, pressing between Isaac’s legs.
“Cuff me.”
Isaac paused, his head tipped back against the door, eyes wide. “Really?”
“Yes. If it will make you more comfortable touching me, absolutely. “
He knew Isaac wanted to touch, he wanted Isaac to, and Isaac had got so much braver in letting himself take what he wanted. Nowadays he reached for Gabriel’s hand easily when he was wearing his gloves, and didn’t hesitate to sit close enough that their shoulders brushed. He even initiated kisses when they were alone with each other.
But he didn’t reach out anywhere near as much as he always longed to. As he thought about doing.
Isaac swallowed, studying him. He stroked his fingers along Gabriel’s cheek, somewhere between affection and needing a second where Gabriel couldn’t hear him. “You won’t be able to be in my head if I’m touching you. Is that…okay?”
“I trust you.”
A small smile flickered across Isaac’s lips. He ducked his head down to kiss Gabriel again, still cradling his jaw in one hand. “You’re sure?”
“I could make you forget this conversation if I wasn’t sure.” Gabriel pulled his hands back from Isaac, breaking the contact between them just to prove it.
I’m very sure, Isaac. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about your hands on me all day.
The tips of Isaac’s ears went adorably red, though he rolled his eyes, biting back an even more goddamn adorable smile. “Shut up. Fine.” Isaac never had been good with people saying or believing nice things about him. His breath was a little shaky, the excitement simmering in his thoughts, that intoxicating and electric cocktail of a brain.
I’m going to keep complimenting you until you touch me—
Isaac grabbed him and dragged him into another kiss and Gabriel’s stomach swooped. There was a warm, ridiculous glow in the pit of his belly, and a giddy anticipation in his lungs.
“Prick,” Isaac muttered.
Gabriel grinned at him. “Sweetheart.”
Isaac kissed him again, rough and needy and desperate, stepping forward. He backed Gabriel up easily, always the stronger one when he wasn’t holding back.
Gabriel’s knees bumped against the back of his bed with another lightheaded surge of want. He let himself fall back to sit, looking up at Isaac with a small smile. He undid his tie as Isaac watched him, before handing it over crisp and silken.
Isaac had told him he was ridiculous to wear a tie to an art event. Bet he didn’t think that now.
All yours, Gabriel offered.
Isaac’s mind fizzed, whirled, narrowed down on him. His eyes shone even more than usual, bright with wonder. Gabriel could have stared at them all day.
Gabriel’s heart pounded even harder than before, but he held still. He couldn’t bring himself to regret the decision.
Isaac touched slowly at first – the small, simple practiced things which were still so bold to him. Warm shaky fingers stripping Gabriel of his clothing, caressing along his skin. He watched Gabriel’s reactions carefully at first, searching for any sign of it being too much, for some danger less lovely than just wanting too badly.
Gabriel held still, more uncertain without Isaac’s thoughts to guide him. He felt blinded. Every skim of Isaac’s palm was a surprise, however light and cautious. They moved back together on the bed, never completely letting go of each other. A hand on Isaac’s hip, for now, holding them steady.
Isaac paused on top of him, not quite straddling him, still hovering an instinctive inch above skin contact.
Gabriel bit back a groan, shoving down the urge to rock his hips up for the press of Isaac against him. Hard. He wanted so obviously too, and yet still he hovered. Gabriel blew out a breath and held himself still all the same, waiting. He’d been waiting all day; he could wait a moment longer for Isaac to be ready.
Isaac leaned in to kiss him again, sweetly. His hands settled on Gabriel’s shoulders, familiar there.
The power flared again, endless, limitless – Isaac.
Isaac’s hands smoothed down to take his own, entwining their fingers together. Testing. Allowing himself to want, to act.
Gabriel smiled to watch him. Isaac kissed his fingertips. He kissed his knuckles. The palms of his hands.
God, Gabriel was going to be crazy by the time Isaac was done with him, he was sure of it. Isaac didn’t even mean to do it.
Isaac wrapped the tie around his wrists.
“How’s your head?” he asked Gabriel.
“Very much here with you.” It came out a little, stupidly, wrecked.
Or maybe not stupid. How could he be anything other than mesmerized?
“Isaac.”
Isaac escalated between one heartbeat and the next - an exploded dam. His mouth was hot against Gabriel’s neck, his shoulder, initiating over and over and over, fearlessly.
Gabriel didn’t hold back. He couldn’t have. Isaac unravelled him masterfully. Or maybe every small kiss was simply enough to wreck him, when Isaac was the one doing the kissing. He shifted on the bed. Moaned, as Isaac’s fingers curled around him and stroked. Moaned harder still, frustrated, when Isaac stopped.
It was strange, being with someone, not hearing their every thought and pleasure echoed back at him. “Talk to me,” he begged.
“I can’t decide where to start,” Isaac said, with another small laugh. “You know, option freeze. God. You should see the look on your face.” His other hand came up, stroking Gabriel’s cheek briefly. “I should blindfold you, so you can’t keep looking at me like that.”
“Like I adore you?”
“Prick. Do you want me to stop?”
Gabriel laughed and leaned in to kiss his shoulder, along his neck, just under his ear. “We’ve got time, don’t stop,” he murmured. “Please.”
“I want to fuck you.”
A bolt of heat shot through Gabriel, so hard that his head spun. His hands twitched against the tie. He swallowed, sure he was as wide-eyed now as Isaac normally was, surprised, but he had to smile back. “Go hard or go home.”
“Can I?”
“I might kill you if you don’t right now.”
Isaac kissed him again. Baseline. He kept coming back to it, delightful and maddening all at once. Still, Gabriel was glad for it. It steadied him too. It helped him focus on just them, not the roar of thoughts, just them.
Now. Here.
Isaac straddling his hips and kissing him, stroking him, filling him as the minutes ticked by.
Here. Now.
Pleasure only growing by the second with every thrust of Isaac’s hips, and Isaac close and lovely, unafraid. Isaac’s ragged breath, and that look on his face.
Isaac, Isaac, Isaac.
Gabriel came with a cry.
Isaac followed soon after, blissful and boneless against him.
Gabriel had never wanted anyone, anything, so much in his life.
This was peace.
He knew this was forever.
AFTER
1 - Isaac
“Are you doing this?”
Mona’s eyes flicked up, just once and briefly, from her knitting to acknowledge Isaac’s presence. She looked to be making some kind of green poncho with dandelions embroidered into it. Was it knitting or crochet? He had no idea. It didn’t matter.
Isaac gritted his teeth. He folded his arms across his chest, feeling heat already rising up his neck to burn the tips of his ears. A silence stretched between them.
“Guessing it’s not you, then?” Isaac tried.
“You haven’t told me what I’m accused of.”
Isaac swallowed. “The dreams.”
Mona raised an eyebrow. A mug of something unrecognisably golden, that wafted a sweet scent of honey and flowers around the room, simmered on the counter next to her.
“About Gabriel,” he said.
She didn’t say anything.
“Oh, come on,” he snapped. “Are you going to pretend you don’t know what I’ve been dreaming about?”
“Will it get me out of having this excruciating conversation with you?”
“Just tell me if it’s you or not!” His face was, officially, burning.
“Your bad decisions are absolutely nothing to do with me in this case.” She stabbed particularly viciously with her needle. “Try the ex.”
“Gabriel doesn’t control dreams.”
“No, but we know he can make you think whatever he likes, whether intentionally or not.”
Isaac scowled at her, but after everything, he couldn’t disagree. Even if it did slightly feel like he should be defending Gabriel’s honour. Gabriel didn’t do that anymore. Still.
After a moment, she glanced up again. She sighed with exaggerated long-suffering at his expression, but did put her knitting/crochet down.
Mona’s café was quiet around them, but by lunch time it would be heaving with people eager to experiment with her fantastical offerings. She considered him for a beat.
“It’s not Archangel.” She said it with all the gentle seriousness of someone who knew just how bad it would be if it was, and just how many nightmares Isaac had. “It’s not a trap or a conspiracy. I don’t think.”
“You don’t think it’s Gabriel?”
“Almost wish, for your sanity, that it was.”
“Thanks Mona.”
“They’re just dreams, Isaac. You don’t have to overthink it. Or do anything. It’s just dreams.”
Isaac managed a vague smile and, as the door chimed open with a new customer, he fled.
***
The dreams were…well. Sexy. They were bloody sex dreams.
Sure, Gabriel was an attractive man, always had been to Isaac. Sure, Gabriel had taken up hiking alone, following his resolution about being better at not knowing what everyone was thinking all the time. All the uphill walking made his arse look incredible. But that wasn’t an excuse!
Isaac, categorically, should not have been having multiple sex dreams about his ex. About Gabriel. Sleeping with Gabriel again would be an absolutely insane idea. The two of them were just about getting to a good place after everything. As friends. How could Isaac ruin that?
The only mercy was that he and Gabriel didn’t live on a campus together anymore, because he didn’t think he could bear waking up with Gabriel hearing his every frantic, shameful thought.
In the last dream, he’d been in the flat he’d shared with Archangel. It should have been a nightmare. It was a nightmare. The dream had been set in the early days of that particular arrangement – fake domestic bliss. Isaac was floating in a fog of peace and contentment, of the like he’d terribly struggled to find since, when Gabriel entered the room.
Isaac had smiled at him and asked if dinner was ready.
Gabriel had walked straight up to him and kissed him hard, already reaching for Isaac’s t-shirt. “Quickly,” he’d murmured. “Before he gets back. We can’t be us then.”
Archangel had never done anything like that.
Isaac had woken up; confused, wanting, aching with too many things.
Sometimes the dreams took place in the past, where everything was simpler. One time, it had even been goddamn Archangel, so Isaac didn’t even want to know what that said about his twisted psyche. Always, though, Gabriel’s face. Gabriel’s smile. Gabriel’s hands and lips and the firm press of his body, so familiar with Isaac, so at home.
Fuck.
Maybe he just needed to get it out of his system.
Or, maybe, he just needed to repress it like a champ.
2 – Gabriel
Isaac was thinking about his arse again.
Once upon a time, Gabriel would have glanced back at him, met his eyes, grinned and maybe sauntered up the stairs with a bit more swagger than before. Once upon a time felt like a very long time ago. He had no idea if Isaac wanted him to acknowledge the fact he was doing it or not.
He really had been doing it a lot of late, more than usual. It was as flattering as it was bewildering.
“So,” Isaac scrambled, as he caught himself. “How’s the course going?”
They’d already talked about Gabriel’s course. “I’m starting to think half the people who go into psychology have something wrong with them.”
Isaac laughed. They reached the top of the stairs and Isaac swiftly scoured the art gallery walls for a painting he could comment on. Gabriel watched him wet his lips, nervously. He thought about kissing them. Isaac had very kissable lips. He did his best to push the urge away.
The two of them had only recently began hanging out alone. In the immediate aftermath of everything, they’d always made sure Sanna, Dahlia or Mona or someone was in the room with them. It just seemed safer.
It was good spending time with Isaac again though. Good and painful.
Isaac was still, understandably, wary. Except when he was thinking about the fit of Gabriel’s favourite jeans.
Isaac glanced over at him. He studied the way the light danced off Gabriel’s face from the high windows, highlighting the curve of his jaw, the warmer shades in his dark hair. His mind was a palette; ochre, almond, sienna. He thought about that time, in second year, when Gabriel had modelled nude for him. He swallowed.
Gabriel swallowed too, clearing his throat.
Isaac squeezed his eyes shut, hands covering his face. He turned away. “Sorry. Christ.”
“No, no,” Gabriel said. “It’s fine. It’s cool.” He tried for a smile. “Don’t worry, I’m not trying to peek. Or taking you too seriously or anything. People think all sorts.”
“About their exes?”
That got a proper smile out of him, despite everything. “Especially about their exes.”
“Nothing you haven’t already heard?”
“Exactly.”
“You’re being nice,” Isaac said.
“Well, I’m not offended.”
He really was trying not to take Isaac’s consideration too seriously. A fantasy didn’t, after all, mean that Isaac wanted to actually do any of it. It didn’t mean he wanted Gabriel back. It didn’t make it a good idea.
They meandered in silence for a little while.
The exhibition was all at about the enormity of nature. The way it could overwhelm. It was full of moody seascapes and one particularly memorable still life of all the fruit that had become a euphemism since emojis were invented.
Isaac’s musings on the works, normally so absorbed, were scattershot. The last time he’d caught sight of Gabriel, he’d started thinking about the time Gabriel nearly convinced him that to do it with him in a field.
Gabriel wasn’t going to comment. He shouldn’t comment. It didn’t matter that, back at university, he definitely would have commented something.
“So,” Isaac said. “Anyone nice on your course? Or are they all psychopaths?”
“All psychopaths,” he said promptly.
Isaac shot him a look.
Gabriel grinned back at him. There were plenty of nice enough people on his course, naturally. Though that wasn’t what Isaac was really asking, was it?
“What about you?” he asked. “Have you met anyone nice?”
It was a conversation they had both avidly avoided since Isaac’s return to the city. Mostly, he’d figured Isaac was too busy learning how not to be a hermit to date, but it struck him suddenly that Isaac could. He surely got offers.
Gabriel could be gracious and normal about it if Isaac kissed someone else in front of him, right? He was a mostly-functioning adult.
“Sure,” Isaac said. He hesitated, before continuing. “It’s a whole thing, isn’t it, starting fresh with someone. How do you even explain everything? Have you done it before?”
Gabriel shrugged. “Dating’s weird for me. I see in their head straight away. There’s no grace period where everyone pretends to be better than they actually are.”
“Yeah,” Isaac said. “I definitely don’t have that problem. I just assume they must be monsters if they seem too nice.”
It wasn’t funny, but Gabriel still snorted, given everything.
Isaac didn’t have anyone else that he was thinking about. No recurring names. Not that Gabriel was checking, he really wasn’t. It was just there. The person he was thinking about was—
Gabriel peeled off one of his gloves, having grown used to wearing them around Isaac, and offered a hand.
“Ah,” Isaac said mildly. “Crap.”
“You’re not making me uncomfortable,” Gabriel said, before Isaac could start worrying. “But I don’t want to intrude or – you know. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
He felt the moment Isaac switched their conversation to a telepathic one.
It’s okay if I’ve freaked you out. I’ve been a bit freaked.
Gabriel let his hand fall. His mouth had gone dry. He wrenched his gaze off Isaac, to peer blindly at the latest artwork that probably deserved more of his attention. It was an enormous tree.
You haven’t. Dreams are a way of processing things that have happened. It’s perfectly normal.
That your professional opinion?
Gabriel nodded. He could feel Isaac’s eyes on his face, feel the careful tread of him, the myriad emotions all churned together. Desire. Hope. Fear. Guilt.
What’s your unprofessional opinion? Isaac asked.
Gabriel’s heart slammed in his chest. He was abruptly glad that Isaac hadn’t taken his hand. While he wouldn’t control the conversation, it was still beyond a relief to have the feedback loop of Isaac’s brain in such uncharted waters.
He still stayed silent for a beat, on the edge of everything. He should do the good thing. He should do the right thing. Isaac was fragile, he needed –
He stopped.
Isaac was a grown man who could absolutely make his own decisions. If Gabriel was one of those incredibly suspect decisions…well. Maybe he was enabling. But who was he to decide?
We’re a terrible idea. He finally met Isaac’s eyes again. We can probably be in a hotel room in twenty minutes.
Isaac took his hand and led him out of the gallery without another word.
3 – Isaac
Isaac pushed Gabriel up against the hotel room door to close it. It locked with a soft click nearly drowned out entirely by the small sound Gabriel made when Isaac kissed him.
Gabriel’s hands tangled into Isaac’s hair, stinging his scalp, hauling him deliciously closer.
Their last kiss had been a bittersweet thing; an ending, a reconciliation, a promise of the future all at once. The kiss that devoured them then had no such lofty ambitions. It was a kiss unlike any that had come before it, and it cared for nothing beyond the present.
“Still strange,” Gabriel managed, distractedly, breathlessly. “Kissing you without the power surge. Not bad, just—”
Isaac caught his jaw, and kissed harder, more intent. He still remembered what had made Gabriel crazy once, after all. He was rewarded with another of those small sounds, more ragged than before, and Gabriel having to lean against the door when his knees went weak. Isaac grinned smugly against his skin, catching his breath.
“Yeah,” Isaac said. “I gathered not bad.”
Gabriel pushed him backward, with an entirely-too-fond roll of his eyes, pressing Isaac further into the small room and onto the large double bed that took up nearly all of the available space. “It’s good. You’re good. So good for me. Gold star.”
“Hey.” Isaac’s cheeks coloured, somewhere between delight and embarrassment at the half teasing, half earnest velvet of Gabriel’s purr. “Don’t mock—”
Gabriel kissed him and Isaac lost track of whatever he’d been about to say. It was surely unimportant. Nothing compared to the way that he was grinning so hard that it hurt. Nothing compared to the fact that he’d feared it would be awkward and terrifying, but it wasn’t. Nothing compared to the crisp soft sheets beneath them; tantalisingly void of their history, white as a blank slate.
He drew Gabriel with him, on top of him, not breaking the kiss until they were both gasping. He tore Gabriel’s shirt from him, temporarily absorbed once again by what had changed and all that hadn’t.
New scars, for him to map and learn the stories of later, but run his fingers and lips over for now and claim. A softness that hadn’t been there in the angular jut of Gabriel’s nineteen-year-old bones. Maturity, as well, though. He looked more himself. There was a healthy glow to Gabriel’s skin that settled something foolish and less carnal in Isaac’s chest.
Gabriel was finally taking care of himself. That was good.
Gabriel’s fingers were just as eager, just as hungry to refamiliarize. One of his hands made quick work of Isaac’s trousers, soon wrapping around him, stroking and stuttering Isaac’s concentration. It was Gabriel’s turn to draw out a sharp breath, a moan, from Isaac’s lips. To prove exactly how well he remembered.
“Forgot how gorgeous you are,” Gabriel said.
Isaac shivered. “No, you didn’t. Bastard.”
“So pretty when you fall apart for me. I’m looking forward to it.”
Isaac dragged him into another kiss and Gabriel laughed against him. When they were breathless again, Gabriel planted a hand on Isaac’s chest, holding him down so he could take a moment to drink in the sight of Isaac properly as he continued to stroke. Lazy, almost, for all the heat and need of the kisses.
Isaac felt his cheeks colour a little again, despite himself. The ‘hurry up, what are you waiting for?’ caught in his throat. He made a show of settling back more comfortably against the bed instead, chin jutting up slightly. He bit his lip, luring Gabriel’s night-dark gaze to his mouth.
Gabriel immediately had to kiss him again, of course. Isaac took the opportunity to wrap an arm around him, to cup his arse, to grind up into Gabriel’s body, to hear him groan.
He’d half feared Gabriel would be so tentative, so scared to touch after everything, but this was something else. He’d known for a long time that Gabriel wanted him. He’d rarely been so forward about it though; willing to lead, certainly, but always with such delicacy, stopping every minute to check that Isaac was okay.
Cautious. Sweet, caring, but cautious.
It took seeing Gabriel now, more relaxed, to realise just how carefully he must have always been managing his desires and telepathy before. Certainly, it took effort, still, not to just magnify. Not to give and give and give and leave it all in Gabriel’s hands to carry, to assume he’d know when to stop and what to do without Isaac saying a word.
Strange. But not bad. Not bad at all.
“How do you want to do this?” Isaac asked. “I have – I brought –”
“So well-prepared. It’s almost like you planned it.”
“Well, I thought about it.”
“What did you think about?” Gabriel kissed down his neck. “Dream about?”
“Am I ever going to hear the end of that?”
“There are some obvious ways to shut me up.”
Isaac did, with another kiss. By the time they were done, they were both flushed and hard, clothes carelessly discarded and flung aside. “Is that what you want?” he asked.
“I want you every which way I can have, Isaac. I’ll take whatever you’re willing to give me.”
Isaac had to kiss him again, greedily, for that. He’d been cautious before too, hadn’t he? Always certain that the next touch might be disaster, every kiss a deadly gamble, to be savoured so he could make it last for as long as possible until next time.
There was no disaster anymore. No need for crumbs. In that moment, in that room, he could have as much of Gabriel as he wanted.
Soon enough, he had Gabriel inside him. He was a masterpiece above Isaac; dark curls dishevelled by Isaac’s fingers and falling over one side of his handsome face, strong lean arm braced beside Isaac’s head, eyes temporarily fluttered closed with pleasure, or maybe a flood of telepathy as Isaac had to take a beat to get his powers back under control. Or both.
“All good?” Gabriel asked, after a beat.
“Uhuh. Sorry.”
“All good. I’ve got you. You’re okay.”
He did. Isaac wasn’t sure what to do with that, only that the feeling of safety and bliss was too tentative to be manufactured. Real. Not a dream. Not a nightmare, either.
Soon they were moving, and Isaac’s hands were in Gabriel’s hair again, and they were rising and – done. A puddle of limbs together on the bed.
Isaac felt he should paint the moment, or something ludicrous, but he was also absolutely certain that he was not moving anywhere or doing anything immediately. Except, maybe, to settle his head against the crook of Gabriel’s arm. That was better.
“Fuck,” Gabriel said.
“Yeah.”
“I missed that.”
Isaac shot him a look, exasperated and entirely too-fond despite all sanity and reason, because really. Always with the saying lovely, too honest things he should have the decency to think silently like everyone else.
Gabriel caught the look and winked. It should have been cheesy. It was awful. Isaac still kissed him again, heart pounding, warm and sweet.
Because, yeah, okay. He’d missed it too.
Isaac slept brilliantly that night.

don’t know if you’re aware but cursed forge should be boycotted because it’s owned by the zionist company overwolf which directly donates to the occupation in occupied Palestine. as a creator there are so many other ways for you to share your content that doesn’t support a genocide. thank you
Hello,
I am aware. I've wanted to write something about this for a while but anything I wrote sounded like an excuse but here I go:
I absolutely hate what is going on in Palestine. I 100% stand behind them. (And behind all the innocent people on either side.) That said, times have changed for me in the last year and the money I make on CurseForge is the only thing keeping me from being homeless again. I am trying hard to get other income but it's very difficult. I don't make enough through Patreon alone. Not even close. I wish I did and was able to delete my Curseforge account but that's not the case. ALL my cc is always downloadable on my Patreon, and lately I've been adding Patreon links to my posts again, so there's no need to download off of CurseForge.
It really breaks my heart, and if anyone knows a solution please share. I am not taking this lightly, and I am certainly not the victim here, but being homeless again is not something I can survive again.

Do you like exploring tombs? Have you done the tombs in the WA worlds approximately 1,571,342 times and you're looking for something new? Or, do you like exploring tombs but not so much doing quests? Well, I have a world for you!
As you can see, this is an Egyptian-themed world. It's an old one, uploaded in 2010, and it might not be much to look at from a distance, but it's chock-full of tombs, about a dozen of them, which I'm sure is why I downloaded the world, whenever I downloaded it. I was figuring on one or two tombs and/or maybe recycled EA ones, but nope! They are all original and they range from small to very, very large.
The world is large, too, 2048x2048, unpopulated, and entirely roadless. Although it's large, it ought to run smoothly on most machines, since it has few lots, only about 35, total. Some of the tombs are far-flung, so it will be a bit of an expedition to get to them, explore them, and then get back to your home lot. Bring snacks, a tent, and maybe a camel horse.
Tombs aside, the world is pretty basic, though it has some nice desert scenery here and there. It might be better to use it as a vacation world via the Traveler mod, though it would be possible to use it as a homeworld, too. However, except for a mausoleum in the graveyard, it has no rabbitholes at all, though there are three empty lots that they could theoretically be added to, especially if you were to use rugs, since they take up less space. There are also none of the "standard" community lots aside from one large and several smaller markets with the WA registers (so you can buy groceries and books, at least) and the afore-mentioned graveyard. You could certainly add some rabbithole rugs to the large market, in particular. You could also add lots for rabbitholes and such, as most of the world is routable, BUT not much of the terrain is flat aside from areas that are already built on. So, you'd have to do some creative construction. Of course, you could have your sims make money in non-rabbithole-career ways, but they'll still be lacking services and entertainment and such, if such things matter to you.
There are about a dozen pre-built houses, concentrated in two small parts of the world. They are mostly small and basic, just simple rectangles or a few rectangles stuck together, much like the houses in Al Simhara. Most of them are just basically furnished with the essentials, but some are empty. Most of them have only one bedroom. So, as-is, between the one-bedroom houses and the lack of a school, it's not really a place for families. That said, the houses are mostly on larger lots with lots of leftover space, and because of the basic-ness of their layouts, they could be expanded/re-built easily if you wanted to play growing families in the world. (Or maybe steal some lots from Rusalem and replace the ones in this world. ;) ) And there's always homeschooling, via mods, if you don't add a school rabbithole. (Boarding schools won't be accessible since the world is roadless.)
The world only requires World Adventures, which I think was the only EP that existed when this world was uploaded. I didn't notice any Store content, and there's no CC. The world has all of the basegame and WA spawners, including dig site spawners. You might need to use the Collection Helper reward to find them because most of them are widely scattered across the world.
As usual, the title of this post is a link to the world's Exchange page. Or, if you don't want to deal with the Exchange/the launcher/sims3packs, I have uploaded a .world file here. If you get that, it goes in your game install files under GameData - Shared - NonPackaged - Worlds.
Note: The creator of the world is a Spanish-speaker, so all of the lot addresses/descriptions as well as things like those little plaques that your sim can read in/outside of tombs that can give you clues are in Spanish. So, if you're not a Spanish-speaker yourself, you might want to keep Google Translate on-hand while you play. :)
More pics and stuff behind the cut!
I usually put Edit Town/map view pics here, but it doesn't seem really necessary for this world, since there are no rabbitholes and the only community lots are either tombs or markets. So, we'll jump right to lot pics. Here are some pics of some of the houses:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As I said, they're very simple and quite similar to the houses in Al Simhara, but as far as I can tell they're all new and only one is duplicated. Because they are simple and placed on larger-size lots, they could be expanded or simply demolished and rebuilt, if you like to build.
Moving on to community lots, here is the graveyard, which is pretty plain but it could certainly be jazzed-up:
Tumblr media
Here are some pics of the big, main market, which is actually two lots, basically, one 64x64 and the other smaller with the tower-like building on it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The tower building in the first pic is dedicated to nectar tasting and sales, but it doesn't have nectar-making machines. The other, main building has some snake charming baskets, chess tables, lots of bookshelves, and the WA registers. The building on the left side of the last pic just has a little pond and some seating in it. If you wanted to add rabbithole rugs to the world, this lot certainly has space to add ones that would make sense, like maybe the business one or even the city hall. It would also make sense to add consignment registers here.
This is one of the smaller markets, which has book and food registers:
Tumblr media
And, aside from another even smaller market that is basically just a food stall, the rest of the community lots are tombs. Here are some spoiler-free pics of some of them from the outside:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't want to spoil any of the tombs, in case anyone decides to download and play this world, but I will say that I did two of the tombs when I took pics of the world, one fairly short and one very long, and they were both challenging, at least more so than the EA tombs. In the two that I ran through, there were lots of non-obvious traps, many of which couldn't be disarmed, so I had to cross them to advance farther into the tomb. So, Athletic skill is recommended. Also, many of the traps are fire traps with no dive wells to extinguish yourself, so if you don't just cheatily remove the "singed" and "fear" moodlets like I did, bring showers in cans and prepare to wait while moodlets wear off! There were also lots of mummies hiding in sarcophagi, which you have to open because some sarcophagi have switches that you have to "flip" in order to continue. Such sarcophagi are often in rooms with no quick way out, so you might have to fight the mummies (or go to Al Simhara first and stock up on mummy snacks). Also, there were some puzzles that took a bit of thought to solve. Not like RPG game levels of thought or anything, but certainly more thought than the WA tombs. And you won't get rich from tomb-raiding because at least in the two that I did there were no gems or relics, but I did get lots of ancient coins (which are useless in this world, of course, but you can use them in the WA worlds) and a nice little stash of high-quality nectar! The two tombs I did were quite fun, so I'm sure the others are as well.
And that's pretty much all I have to say. We'll finish off with some random scenery pics.

Full disclaimer to begin with. This is just how I do conversions. There are no doubt other ways, possibly even better ways to convert objects, but this is the way I know how. This post is going to be long and image heavy and I am going to walk through it slowly so nothing is missed. If any of it is still confusing once you've gotten through it, feel free to send me an ask and I will answer to the best of my ability. Part One of the tutorial under the cut!
Programs You Will Need (and links where you can find them):
SimPE
Sims 4 Studio
Blender
Milkshape
Not Strictly Necessary, But Certainly Nice To Have:
The Compressorizer by JFade or @lazyduchess edit which can be found here
A Photo Editing Program - I use Photoshop, but GIMP is a completely free, open-source program and it would work just as well for recolors or texture editing.
Now onto the tutorial!
Step One - Launch Sims 4 Studio. If it is your first time launching Sims 4 Studio or if you had launched it before without maybe knowing what to do, click on "Settings" and make sure everything is pointing where it needs to.
Tumblr media
If it's not, the objects from the Sims 4 games, EPs, and kits you own won't show once you get into the studio. Once you've adjusted the paths, hit "Save."
Step Two - From the main screen of Sims 4 Studio, select the "Object" header.
Tumblr media
Leave it on "Standalone Recolor." Once you hit the "Object" header, the studio will begin loading all the Sims 4 meshes in your game. It will just take a few seconds for the objects to populate.
Step Three - Choose the object you want to convert.
Tumblr media
You can use the "Game Pack" or the Search fields (which I highlighted above) to narrow down the items instead of being bombarded with all of them at once. For this tutorial, I'm going to be converting the "Caress Chair" from the Base Game.
@sims4t2bb is the most amazing database of 4t2 content. Here you can find the various packs and kits and see what has been converted already, so you don't end up converting something that's already out there available for download. Seriously, this is an amazing resource. @lafeeverte-sims and @twentyfourfirst-sims update this database in practically real time. I don't know how they do it. This is easily one of the single greatest resources for the 4t2 converters out there. Bookmark it and check it often.
Step Four - Select the item you're going to convert and hit "next" down in the bottom, right-hand corner.
Tumblr media
Once you've clicked "next," you'll be prompted to give your file a name and choose where to save it. THIS FILE IS USELESS. It will not be used at any point during the conversion process. In fact, you can delete it the moment Sims 4 Studio creates it. If having a lot of files around confuses you more, get rid of it right away.
For my own part, I keep it around because I have the short term memory of a goldfish. I use it to set up what I'm eventually going to name my mesh file. So in this particular instance, I named this pointless file jinxxsims-4t2-base-caresschair because it is the Caress Chair and it is from the Base Game. I know, super original, right? It works for me though.
You could name this thing xyz, it wouldn't matter. As I said, the file is never going to be used. Give it a name, hit "save," and Sims 4 Studio will spend a few moments getting the file up and ready.
Step Five - It's time to gather the components of the object. First, let's get the mesh.
Tumblr media
Choose the "Meshes" tab. The LOD 0 (High) field should already be selected. Don't change it. Finally, choose "Export Mesh." You'll be prompted to give your mesh a name. I always just name mine "mesh," because I want there to be no doubt about what files I have floating around in my WIP folder.
Once you click "save," the game will spend a few seconds extracting the mesh as a blender file. Once it's done, go to the "Texture" tab.
Step Six - Gather the textures.
Tumblr media
Highlight one of the color swatches at the top of the window. The first one will always be the "mesh" color. Click "export." You'll be prompted to give your texture a name. I always save the first one as "mesh."
Click on each swatch and extract the textures the same way. You will be prompted to save each swatch when exporting them. I name all of mine in the simplest way possible.... rc-1, rc-2, and so on.
KEEP IT SIMPLE. Especially when just getting started. Feel free to get fancy once you get the hang of things, but when starting out... simple is best.
Tumblr media
This is what my WIP folder looks like after I've exported all the textures. Regardless of what you're converting, yours should look similar.
Step Seven - Double-click the "mesh" file to have it open in Blender.
Full disclosure. Blender absolutely baffles me. I know there are people who can create objects from scratch in it and do other, all kinds of impressive things, but... that is not me. I use it for roughly sixty seconds, just to get the mesh in a format that Milkshape will accept, and that's it.
Tumblr media
The first thing we need to do is eliminate the white boxes beneath the chair until the only thing left is the mesh. On the right hand side of the window, there are listings of what the mesh is currently composed of. "s4studio_mesh_0," "s4studio_mesh_1," and "s4studio_mesh_2." Next to each, there is what looks like a little eyeball. Click the eyeball and what that part of the mesh is will disappear.
In this case, when you click the eyeball next to "s4studio_mesh_0," the big white box disappears.
Tumblr media
So, we know that "s4studio_mesh_0" is really just that white box. Go ahead and delete it by right clicking "s4studio_mesh_0" and choosing "Delete" from the drop-down menu.
Next, click the eyeball next to "s4studio_mesh_1" and the tiny white squares under each leg disappear, so we know that that layer of the mesh is just more white boxes. Right click "s4studio_mesh_1" and choose "Delete" from the drop-down menu.
Tumblr media
You're left with just the mesh on its own, and that's perfect! In my experience, the white boxes are almost always on layers 0 and 1 if there are 2 sets of white boxes.
Step Eight - Export the mesh as an OBJ.
Tumblr media
Go to File > Export > Wavefront (.obj)
Tumblr media
A panel with settings will appear on the left side of the screen. Leave the default settings, but uncheck "Write Materials" beneath "Include UVs." If you leave it checked, that's ultimately fine. All it does is create an unnecessary file in your WIP folder. I uncheck it because the less unnecessary files you have floating around, the better, because there's less of a chance of confusing yourself.
Tumblr media
Set your file path to your WIP folder (that's the black line in the image above) and give your mesh a name if you want to rename it (I just leave mine as mesh) and then click "Export OBJ." Once you've done so, you can exit Blender and delete the Blender file that Sims 4 Studio created.
This is what my WIP folder looks like now:
Tumblr media
Step Nine - Launch SimPE. Once the program has opened, launch the Object Workshop. I have mine in a side panel, but you can also launch it by going to Tools > Object Creation > Object Workshop. When the Workshop launches, it will ask you to choose between "Start" or "Open...".
"Start" is for cloning and recoloring Maxis objects. "Open..." is for cloning and recoloring custom objects. When doing conversions of things like chairs, tables, beds, etc., choose "Start" and clone from Maxis objects. Clone from "Open..." when creating objects Maxis doesn't really have in the catalog... like the sprinkler I just shared, the single-tile workout bags I shared, or like an end table with multiple slots when you don't want to add the slots in yourself.
Since this is just a basic dining chair, we're going to choose "Start." This will take a little while for SimPE to load the whole Sims 2 catalog. Just be patient. When it's finished loading, you'll be presented with a list that looks like this:
Tumblr media
In this instance, I'm going to choose "Seating" and then "Dining Room" since I'm converting a dining chair. This will make sure that the chair I'm converting has all the functions of a dining chair... like it will be pushed in under a desk or a table rather than be stationary like a living chair.
How do you know which object to clone? Honestly, sometimes it's a bit of a crapshoot. IgnorantBliss on MTS has compiled a list of easy-to-clone objects here that you can download and reference when cloning. I used it A LOT when I first started converting.
When you select an item to clone, most of the time it will tell you which EP it is from. I think it's generally most accepted to clone from Base Game items if there is a Base Game item available to clone from, because the most people will be able to use it, but in my own personal opinion... at this stage in the game and time, clone whatever works for you. The Sims 2 is abandonware. Everyone who wants to play the Sims 2 has access to the full game, with all its EPs for free.
OldGamesDownload works in partnership with the Internet Archive to preserve games that have been abandoned by their creators and keep them available to the public. All Sims 2 (and Sims 1!) games can be found on their website, free of charge.
I say all of that just to say... if you clone a dining chair from Apartment Life rather than the base game... that's fine! You're not obligated to meet everyone's needs, and if someone doesn't have Apartment Life but really wants your dining chair, the means to get it are out there. Create for yourself and your own convenience first.
For this tutiorial, I'm going to clone the base game dining chair "Tea Party in Teak." Once I've highlighted it in the list, I'm going to choose "Next" at the top of the Object Workshop panel.
Step Ten - Clone the object. Under "Task," choose Clone in the drop down menu. My settings look like this:
Tumblr media
Once yours match, choose "Start."
This will bring up a panel for you to choose the name, price, and catalog description for your item. Notice how I never told you to close Sims4Studio? That's because I go back to it now to copy the information from Sims 4.
In the Sims 4 Studio window, choose the "Catalog" subheading and copy the information over to SimPE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I always add a line beneath the description with my screenname. If I'm converting CC from Sims 4 rather than EA content, I also always include the original creator's name. I would encourage others to do the same. This way, if there's a problem with something you shared, people know who to contact. Or, if someone gets a WCIF for an object you shared, it's easy for them to know who the maker is to help a fellow Simmer out. And if you convert someone else's object, it's just in good taste to give them the credit they are due.
Once you've given your object a title, price, and description, click "Finish" in the Object Workshop. You can also close Sims4Studio at this time.
Step Eleven - Finish preparing the clone and save your mesh.
Tumblr media
The Scenegraph rename Wizard comes up after you hit finish. In the ModelName field, give your object a name. Not everyone does this, but I do, for neatness and clarity's sake. Once you've given it a name, click "Update," and all the values in the field will be adjusted.

Ta-da! Click "OK" and you'll be prompted to save your mesh. This is when I use that dummy file that I said you could delete immediately from Sims 4 Studio. I click it so it automatically names my new save, then I add -MESH at the end.
In this case, my save file is now jinxxsims-4t2-basegame-caresschair-MESH. I always do all capitalized "MESH" because I think there's less of a chance of anyone deleting the mesh accidentally when it's there all big and bold.
Click "Save" and SimPE will create the file for you. If you hung on to the dummy file like I did, at this point, you can delete it.
And that's where I'm ending "Part One" of this tutorial. I will work on "Part Two" which will take you the rest of the way through conversions later today and hopefully have it up tonight or tomorrow!

Hello there. Sorry for the delay, I've been holding off on replying to your question for a while. To be fair, when I saw this in my inbox just a DAY after my response to the Kaji Fes. MP3 ask, I was more than a little annoyed.
It's not like your message is inherently rude or anything (in fact, it's a bit more polite than the usual stuff I get) but it tells me TWO things about you:
You either purposefully ignored everything I wrote in that Kaji Fes. MP3 post or you never actually saw my original post and got the download link from someone who reposted it to another site. If you had made an effort to read my response from a few days ago, you would know that I always planned to share rips but first, I needed to receive my package. People are really out there thinking I have immediate access to everything. That is a misconception! The truth is, just like so many of us, I am at the mercy of endless shipping/customs procedures and have to wait very long for stuff to arrive at my place. Then I need to find the time to do all the ripping/encoding while working a full-time job and also having a life.
You've never actually visited my blog and thought it would be a good idea to use your first time here to make a huge request. I seriously doubt that you are one of my regular followers or lurkers because in all of my years running this blog, I've never ever provided t0rrents so I have no idea where you would get that idea from. Yes, I share a lot of content but I do this by uploading reasonably HQ files in converted formats to Google Drive for archival purposes. Early on, I considered providing ISO files but they proved to be too troublesome to handle on a personal cloud (they take too long to upload/download and use up way too much storage space - I already pay more than enough for my current plan). Also, I wholeheartedly believe that those who want raw files should simply BUY the Blu-rays and do the ripping themselves. You can't have high standards like that and not be willing to invest the necessary money and time. Contrary to what people may believe (based on the content I share), I am a big proponent of supporting artists by buying their releases. My main goal is to make life easier for overseas fans who struggle to overcome the countless hurdles between us and Japanese media but that certainly doesn't entail providing everything in the highest quality imaginable. To sum things up, all you can ever expect on my blog are encoded files which should have high enough quality to satisfy the vast majority of people.
Anyway, enough about that. I have good news! My package FINALLY arrived yesterday. BANZAI! Depending on how busy I am, I will hopefully be able to get the files uploaded by Thursday *fingers crossed*
