delivery girl (happy belated valentines)

Marinette checked the time. 19:15. It hadn’t changed yet. Good, she could work with that. Her maman chatted lightly with a customer, laughing behind her hand at a wink over certain words. She knew from observing her idle chatter countless times that soon her maman would be caught in a juicy piece of gossip and completely blind to her only daughter crawling under the counter. 

Her maman leaned in and she saw her chance, sneaking under and out into the general cafe area. From there it was a matter of creeping between people’s feet and bags. She crawled nimbly through the lunch time rush, avoiding a couples intertwined legs, nearly swerving into a table. Her joints complained in their compact position but she persisted, reaching the entrance door in under a minute. Pushing it open, she half-crawled/half-crouched, escaping into the street. Marinette stretched up, relieving her aching bones with a pop as everything settled back into place. 

This was of course all done to intercept the valentines delivery coming in two minutes. The delivery girl hadn’t quite gotten the message that she needed to keep this on the down-low. 

Marinette hung by the entrance, pulling down her cap so it covered her bangs. She'd chosen an outfit her parents would never expect her to wear. Leather. A minute passed and she spotted the delivery girl carrying a massive bouquet and chocolates from a distance. 

Now for the easy part, accepting the gifts. 

She pushed off the window, striding toward her to be sure they wouldn’t be spotted by her nosy maman. A delivery this size would no doubt cause suspicion. The delivery girl at least wore the outfit she asked for, a red doorman’s hat hanging just barely on her head. The doorman’s jacket fit equally loose, the material covering her hands and knees, making her look like an ill-dressed toy soldier. 

Marinette blushed at the sight of all the gifts, stacks of chocolates, bags of teddies and mountains of flowers dutifully packed and carried by her cute delivery girl. It was a little ridiculous how committed she was to the bit. Her own valentines gifts were stored safely upstairs for after the hand-over.

“Have I done this right?” The delivery girl asked. Her concerned eyes just peeked through her flattened bangs. It was frankly unfair how adorable she was. She placed the delivery gently down at Marinette’s feet, straightening and fixing her hat.

“Did you read a list?” Marinette asked, picking up a small fluffy bear with a massive heart attached at its hip. ‘I love you’ was inscribed in loopy writing over the velvety red material. 

“Yes. These are typical valentines gifts right? Have I gotten too little?”

“No, no, Kagami.” Too much in fact, but Marinette wasn’t going to say that. “This is perfect, but I’d be happy if you got me a rock.”

Kagami nodded, reassured, then pulled out her phone from under the giant red coat. “It says I should give you a kiss to show my love.” Kagami smiled sheepishly over her phone, a rare scarlet blush blooming over her cheeks. “But I didn’t need a list to tell me that.”

Marinette melted a tiny bit, stumbling over the gift pile to throw herself at Kagami. Both girls giggled as they crashed into each other, Marinette peppering kisses all over her girlfriend’s face and neck. Kagami grabbed her wrists and lifted her away, giving her a stern look.

“I said I’d kiss you, silly.”

“Oops.” Marinette laughed but was cut off as Kagami kissed her. She could taste chocolate and Marinette nearly laughed again. Her delivery girl had been a little naughty. The chocolate stealer pressed on non-thewiser, the trace of her silky thieving lips gracing her own.

“Kagami?” Marinette pulled away, a tiny whimper leaving Kagami in her absence. “Did you eat my chocolates?”

Kagami, if possible, turned a deeper shade of red. She dropped her head, raising her hands clasped together. “Please forgive me.”

“Now you’re being silly. I don’t mind, it's just funny that’s all. I could taste it.”

“Oh?”

“Which just means, I’ll have to kiss it all back!” Marinette said, cupping Kagami’s face and messily kissing her. Kagami giggled, the sound like a little cute piglet as Marinette licked over her nose. Marinette wished she could listen to it all day.

“Ew. You have to kiss me properly.”

“Okay.” She teased. “But I better bring these in first. Back in five alright?” She waved her hand out to the pile. Kagami nodded and Marinette collected the gifts, walking back over to the bakery.

She stepped in and on the gasp of her maman did she remember she didn’t have a return plan. Carrying the gifts up the counter, she dropped them in front of her maman.

“Someone must be popular this valentine’s. Are these from all your classmates?” Her maman asked, picking up one of the many flower bouquets. It seemed Kagami had bought the entire florist’s shop. 

Marinette looked out at her girlfriend waiting for her. “Just the one.”

okay okay, I wanted to write something cute for valentines so originally I had this 'mari realises she's bi and Adrien is girl' it was meant to be cute but then I wrote Marinette having a fear of love so not very valentiney. So you get Marigami instead, my favorite blorbos.

Da tempo in rete circola la fake news sulle doti profetiche di Orsini in merito all’attacco russo all’ucraina, vanteria alimentata dallo stesso Orsini, ma che in realtà viene smentita da un minimo di approfondimento senza pregiudizi. Come si può verificare dagli atti pubblici e soprattutto dal video disponibile dell’audizione in Senato, il “profeta” in realtà non prende posizione, riporta due opinioni di altri esperti di segno opposto, per concludere solo con la generica ammissione di non essere in grado di prevedere nulla. L’ultima dichiarazione è l’unica che presenta un minimo di onestà e credibilità, infatti non era in grado di prevedere proprio niente, e lo ha dimostrato poi a guerra scoppiata, ripetendo le fake news della propaganda russa da più di un anno.
