Now I know why in Ruyi's Royal Love, Qianlong drank deer wine (I thought he just plain tired and need energy drinks)
It turned out that he had ED (Ruyi can only complain inside her mind, Qianlong is no longer attractive handsome man she loves while she needs to maintain her beauty quota) and instead of consult to his royal physicians, he drank deer wine(Thanks Yanwan) and having orgy in Yanwan's palace 👀

You know what I love?
(and by love I mean am emotionally crushed by?)
We've now seen Vax and Vex's connected threads of fate severed. They're on different paths now, not fated to always be connected, because now Vax's fate is directly tied to the Matron of Ravens (to death).
And you know what else?
Vax is the only one in the opening who doesn't see or react to the thread of fate. All of Vox Machina does, save him.
Vax is the only one who won't have the same fate as the rest of his friends and family. He's destined to be on a separate path from the rest of them. Vox Machina gets to stay together. They're all connected. No matter how much he may want to be, Vax doesn't have that connection. And one day, he'll have to walk away to where his thread of fate leads him to. To the Matron. To death. To divinity.
Without his family.
....I think I'm gonna go lie down now.

I cannot take people who say Ben and Devi don’t have romantic chemistry seriously. Like are you watching the show with your eyes closed??

Little people (dwarfism) 🤝 fat people
Experiencing extreme amounts of violence, dehumanization, and medical neglect as well as systematic oppression in areas like employment but have their advocacy be dismissed entirely and met with either "you just need to love yourself <3 that'll fix everything" or outward hostility.

okay we're still in grace. i don't think God is present in that household right now, i think it's the Other Guy. and massive amounts of fish. drugs and alcohol and fish.
"i think spending that [cooking] time on the people that we love is how we show them that we love them" and there's the theme -- not of this episode, not of any particular character, but of The Bear in general. cooking means something different to every character here, but it's all love in the end. cooking is closeness, it's community, it's time and effort. it's love.
"may God bless us and keep us safe in the new year, and please give michael the strength not to throw that fork. amen." AMEN
that was a lovely speech. there are like three minutes left. what horrible thing is about to happen, b/c this family dinner is Not ending on a good note. wrong pacing for that.
the fact that everyone has to sit and just basically worship donna in order for her not to have an effing tantrum is just. ugh. no one growing up in this house had any emotional support.
"are you okay?" NOOOOO
carmy's face. oh land.
a+ to michelle for sticking up for nat. she seems to be the healthiest of the berzattos, and has a great marriage. i wish her every happiness.
carmy patting natalie on the arm afterwards is a nice, small, subtle gesture. absolutely love it
LEE SHUT UP
oh. there it goes. final straw. final fork?
THE CAR??? DONNA THE CAR???
and of course she's not gonna open the door. all the attention is finally on her.
and carmy staring at the fork in the cannoli, that looming anxiety attack finally beginning. anxiety attacks look (and feel) so different from panic attacks, and The Bear takes a lot of care to show that. carmy's anxiety attacks, like a lot of people's, make him very still, very white, and you can barely see him breathing -- incredibly acted by his actor, and devastating to watch
nice Virgin Mary shot there of Nat at the end. this is her feast, after all
(the feast of the seven fishes commemorates the Vigilia di Natale -- "natale" being the root that "Natalie" is derived from)

It makes me nauseous thinking about the idea of 911 not following through with Buddie, not just because it’s the most deeply romantic best-friends-to-lovers build up I’ve ever witnessed, but because there is no way that these two clearly heterosexual actors could play a clueless bisexual man (Buck) and an in-denial-closeted gay man (Eddie), with such authenticity and emotion, so believably in love with each other, if they weren’t trying to make it obvious. Which means either their relationship has been the endgame plan this whole time, or they have chosen an act of violence against the hopes for representation the queer community has for these characters, with the ugliest baiting in the history of television
