New Zelda Game!
Tumblr media
Okay cool, cool cool cool cool, I am calm, I am so fucking calm. Looks like Nintendo is staying true to their word that Wild is not getting another game, so now the questions are, what Link is this, where are we in the Timeline, and what information about the game itself can we pick out of these crumbs?
Whose Zelda is it anyway?
So two options:
New boy.
Legend. It’s fucking Legend again sucks to suck bro
Case for new Link and Zelda:
Less messy for the Lore
That’s it, that is the only argument
Case for Leggy boy and Fable:
LA animation style! While it can be fun to bring back older styles of animation for nostalgia/artistic reasons, that seems like a poor choice for *LOZ* games, which are always on the edge of what a game can do. Moving “backwards,” so to speak, in any aspect, would be a disservice to the franchise. However, doing it to maintain consistency for a particular character, and to use the animation style to make sure the audience knows this is the same character from LA is a very simple but effective tactic.
The map! So that shot was so BOTW and so fun, but the view we got wasn’t just recognizable as “Hyrule,” is was, down to the relative heights on the mountain cliffs against each other, the map from ALTTP/ALBW. Nintendo has never repeated a map without it being the same Link. So! Checkmate motherfuckers.
The character designs. That… that was just Legend and Fable, come on. Look at the dress. Every Zelda has a slightly different costume design, and that was hers. Look at Link. Baby boy!
I want this. Let me have it.
Timeline positioning
Okay so if we assume that this is in fact Legend, the next question becomes, “When is it?” Leggy boy currently has 5 games that are canonically his. (Triforce Heroes could be a random other Link, so while we like to say 6 we can’t *prove it.*) So. Let’s break it down.
ALTTP: canonically his first game, can’t be before this one.
Oracles: canonically happen after ALTTP, and he is very much still a child in here.
LA: the game this one is artistically modeled after. Narratively this fits nicely right after Oracles, and in the canon timeline, fits between Oracles and ALBW, so I think a whole new game being crowbarred prior to this one would be… not great for the narrative.
ALBW: This is trickier. No canon time between LA and ALBW is given, it could be a week, it could be years. It is entirely possible that Echoes of Wisdom occurs prior to ALBW, which would make it a direct sequel to LA, which makes the art style make even more sense. It could also be after?
…hang on a fucking minute, lets get the fucking map.
Left, ALTTP. Right, ALBW
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basically the same map! Duh, it’s the same Hyrule. But. BUT. Bottom right, in the lake. Do you see that?!
ALTTP: no log bridge. ALBW: Log bridge. Now, let’s look at the pretty picture from the EOW trailer.
Tumblr media
NO FUCKING LOG BRIDGE!
This is before ALBW. Therefore, the game order for The Hero of Legend is
ALTTP, OOS, OOA, LA, EOW, ALBW, TH(maybe)
*cue manic laughter*
Lore Implications
Ganon.
There being a Ganon at all actually has me pointing my finger at the Oracle games and screaming. The TL;DR in those is that there was a plot to resurrect Ganon, each game Twinrova gets closer, but Link stops them. Now, there were also supposed to be three of those games, which means that it is entirely possible that the third unseen Oracle plot—please Nintendo let Link and Farore hang out, I am on my knees barking like a dog—could have resulted in his resurrection. This is the only explanation I have that doesn’t break the Lore or involve Time Shenanigans.
Also, Link does KO the bitch in that opening scene in the trailer. His presence is either just that—a set-up plot point—or him and Link are currently duking it out in the hole. Fun!
Link and Zelda
Now this game is going to put their relationship in the front in the “I have to save them because I love them” way that we usually see from Link’s POV.
Getting it from Zelda’s POV is going to be very interesting. We might be getting a look into her head, into her feelings and thoughts about the whole ordeal of the Legend itself. I hope so. But also, this isn’t just Link and Zelda, this is *Fable and Legend* specifically. The two that were meant to be be siblings but the dialogue that established them as such was cut from the final version of ALTTP. So. This game has the possibility to do three things
Canonize the Prince Legend thing, like they were going to do in the nineties.
Not address the topic at all, leave it nebulous.
Zelink.
None of these are bad choices, but option two is definitely the safest. Both options one and three will cause an uproar from part of the fan base. I can already see the ship wars. Please don’t do this people. Please.
The Holes 🕳️
What are they? Where did they come from? Ganon’s Trident Where do they go? No actually, where do they go? The Dark World (doesn’t make sense in the Lore)? Lorule (that would be a choice)? The Twilight Realm (I am convinced that Lorule and the Twilight Realm are the same place actually and you cannot change my mind)? Some new never seen before parallel dimension? A non-place, like a gap between realities (sexiest option)? I have no idea!
Fun!
That fucking “Fairy”
Tri? Don’t trust it. Will not trust it. Never trust that a companion in a LOZ game is what they first appear to be. Who does Nintendo take me for? A fucking amateur?!
Anyway, I am about 40% convinced that’s Link. I have evidence, but it is circumstantial.
I AM HANDLING THIS NORMALLY.

Time for some happy/fluffy headcannons since I can :3
Sky sees all the Zeldas as his daughters since he and Sun created the royal lineage. No matter how distant, they are his and Sun's children no matter what. (Some of the Zeldas who didn't have good relationships with their dads *cough* Flora *cough* nearly sob in joy because of this). Also, the Zeldas get their prophetic dreams from him too.
Legend's nose does that cute twitching that rabbits do. It makes him so flustered whenever anybody points it out.
Four, if he were to ever met any of the Gerudo, would be highly respected by them despite his height. He is short, yes, but he is very strong, intelligent and can make his own weapons. He'd probably have to fight off suitors if he ever went to Wild's Gerudo Town, tbh.
Everybody from Ordon is blessed by Ordona, and they have square pupils like goats do because of this. Despite being Hylian, and not being born in Ordon like the others, Twilight was also blessed and later in life developed these same pupils. He loves them despite how creepy everybody else thinks they are.
Time actually gained a little weight after marrying Malon because he felt safe enough to do so. He always made himself stay at top shape in case he had to go on another quest, so when he didn't immediately get thrown into one he got a little meat on his bones. He didnt look like a skeleton anymore. Malon was happy he did, since he was always thin even as a child.
Warriors knits and sews and Proxy has a small hat he made with an itty-bitty pompom on top.
Wind is scared of lighting storms due to a bad sailing trip after his adventure, and Sky tries to comfort him despite also being terrified of lighting himself.
Wild's mother was a piece of Farore's spirit traveling Hyrule as a mortal, and fell deeply in love with his father. Both Wild and his sister are considered forest spirits, and his sister actually became a korok after her mortal body died. The first korok he ever finds is his sister :)
Hyrule really likes the non hostile Zora whenever they visit them, and he learned how to swim from them.
None of the Links can hold their alcohol. One drink and they are all tipsy beyond belief. Except Wind, he can take two drinks before he also is drunk off his rocker.
YAY FLUFFY HEADCANONS (god knows i need more of these after the obnoxiously sad headcanons i have)
- This is so cute actually, I can totally see Sky and Flora becoming close
- Legend 100% does that, I also headcanon he hops when he gets really excited
- OKAY THE ORDONA GOAT EYE THING IS ACTUALLY SO COOL??? THATS AN EPIC HEADCANON
- My favorite thing ever in fiction is when characters start to look physically happy and healthy as they recover from trauma, and I write a lot of this happening to Wars (because I gave him horrible food anxiety and write about how he’s been able to work over that and become a lot healthier and happier) and I can see this happening to Time too
- WARRIORS KNITS IS REAL. REAL AND TRUE. YOURE RIGHT AND YOU SHOULD SAY SO!! I can see him making sweaters for everyone
- Wind and Sky and Legend all being unnerved by storms 🤝
- I think it’d be hilarious if they couldn’t hold their alcohol and Wind could out drink them, but whenever I write these guys I always give them at least a couple instances where Twi gets a good few beers and Wars gets his wine. I don’t think Time would drink, not because he wants to be the responsible adult, but because he just doesn’t drink

fluff | childhood friend!mina x fem!reader | as always, MEN DNI!!!!!
i'm very festive about winter (i haven't even touched snow ffs)
it's christmas break. finally, you could unclench every single muscle in your academically tired and worn body; laying flat on your best friend's penguin printed sheets.
"hey," she nudges at you, hands still steady on her controller, playing the last few chapters of zelda. (which she probably finished over the course of the semester, but she's doing it because she wants to know the other plotlines.) "move, what the hell, dude!"
"are you seriously dude-ing me right now?" you raised an eyebrow, and you scoffed, finally moving your body away from the surface of the bed to sit down. "i can't believe you."
not a single response from her. just a bunch of clicking, more clicking, and a sigh.
you pout beside her, like the little mini pincher on her lap, your adoptive child, ray-chan.
mina glares at you, one that was full of happiness as she breaks into a laugh. "what?"
"nothing," you nudged at her. "done with your game?"
"you bet," she sighs, pressing the start button to exit the game completely. "it's extra chilly today, don't you think?"
"yeah," you let out a little 'brr..' as you rubbed on your hoodie clad arms. "hot choco could be really good right now..."
mina laughs, "tell that to my mom," she says, laying on the bed, facing you. ray follows shortly after, snuggling between the space of the two of you. mina happily pets him, "i think he's bored, y/n."
"probably," you let out a little snort as you pet him as well. "he probably got bored seeing you do your little game instead of paying attention to him," you cupped ray's cheeks. "didn't you?"
"i think you're the bored one here," mina laughs. "anyways, there's a snow advisory. we can't bring him out either, you know, since he's quite..."
"yeah, i know," you sighed, petting the golden fur of ray. "but can we?"
mina smiles, lips tight and eyes closed as she stretches her legs. "park?"
"definitely," you smiled, sitting up now. "i'll buy the hot choco."
"fair enough," mina breathed as she stood up. "i'll get taiyaki then."
hours later, after a thousand nudges at mina and her controller, you squeal in joy, finally standing up and kissing ray goodbye for a while.
mina let the snowfall pass, so that you're left with leaps of snow in the park.
you sighed, the white fog coming out of your mouth.
mina looks at you, quite concerned, "what are you sighing about, pretty?"
"pretty?" you repeat, in disbelief that mina said it as a compliment. "you're trying to get me to buy the taiyaki too, don't you?"
mina blushes under her knitted scarf, "n-no," she stutters, watching the steps of her boots leave traces on the snow covered pavement. "it's just that, you're actually extra pretty today."
"quite the sweet talker, aren't you, minari?" you jokingly wrap an arm around her shoulders, almost bringing her down to your height.
you two arrived at the park shortly after. the stalls, the playground, and some kids making snow angels on the pavement; it was all too familiar with you two.
"let's go," you held mina's hand, going to the hot choco stand. "can i get two large ones please?" you asked, handing over a bill, still not letting go of mina's hand.
you two went to your favourite seat, covered in white, probably wet snow.
mina laughs as she wipes away the snow, trying to salvage her convenience of seating. "oh well," she sighs, not finding any luck. "can't believe we're standing up."
"you've been sitting for like 12+ hours in front of your nintendo switch rig, dude, even nature doesn't want you to sit anymore," you joked, blowing on your hot chocolate, cooling it down a little before it meets your tongue. "anyways, mina, mama invited you and your parents to come over at christmas eve. she's been planning a little exchange gift thing with your mom, i think."
"oh!" mina suddenly exclaimed. "mama told me about that too," she remembered. "she asked me to help her finish knitting some scarves. i think it's for your mom."
"that's so cute." you commented.
"what, you want one too?"
"of cou-" you cut yourself off mid sentence. "yeah! of course! are you going to make it for me, minari?"
mina shrugged her shoulders, "not a big deal, actually," she smiles. she's so fucking cute holding the cup on her hands with her penguin mittens on, you say at the back of your mind, the awe reflecting on your face, and mina laughs at it, "in one condition."
"what is it?"
"buy me the mclaren f1 tecnic lego set."
"mina!" you exclaimed, kicking a small dollop of snow to her. "i am generous, but i'm not a jesus type of generous. try something a little... in my budget. i could buy you one, yes, but like wow i could never with that set."
"what do you mean you could never?! your allowance is literally like... 10,000 yen more than mine. you can do it." she fakes her encouragement, trying to get you on your good side to buy the set.
"look, you have your dad. you have your mom. heck, you even have kai-san," you sighed, trying to block her request. (you actually got the set already, but you want to give it on christmas so no spoilers!) "i don't want to be like... your sugar mommy or something."
mina laughs, "i mean, you look like one all the time, why den-"
"shut up." you nudge at her as you finish your cup of hot chocolate. you two went to the nearby trash bin to dispose of both of your cups, and went back to the playground.
"well, it's good that no one's on the swing." she mentioned.
"i don't think the kids would appreciate having wet asses," you laughed, looking at your shoes. you remember, the snow was quite thick, and you pulled mina to the little valley of snow that formed on one of the slides. you form a ball, a small one, round, and threw it at her. "merry ch-"
"no." mina threw a much bigger, more scattered snowball at you, hitting your face almost.
"i'm still not getting you the set," you threw one back, and you saw mina making a bigger one. "oh-"
you run away, trying to find another dollop of snow in the park to form into a ball and throw at mina.
she hits you, directly at the back, making you slow down a bit, "you're getting me that!"
you threw one back, one of the same size, but you didn't expect that mina had a bigger one she was holding onto as she had her hand placed on her back.
you two ran around the park for a good 10 minutes, having pointless fights with snowballs. (mina argues that it could be snow triangles, snow rhombuses, or simply just snow because she just wanted to throw some at you.)
you finally settle down in the middle of the park, feeling the snow around you, not the pavement, and mina was above, attempting to throw another snowball on your face.
"stop, please," you smiled at her. "let's just... lay down, okay?"
mina gives up the moment she sees you smile. she puts the pile of snow just beside your ear, and she lays down beside you.
you reach out for her hand, like you always do, and you feel a drop of snow lay crystals on your cheek.
and it begins, the parade of a thousand pearls as you close your eyes, just feeling the snow go and whip all over your body.
mina admired you as the snow fell. at how your nose crinkles the moment snow hits the tip of your nose, how red your ears got, how your grip got tighter, and how you closed your eyes to feel.
fuck it, she says to herself, as she pulls you to her, removing her penguin mittens to fully cup your cheek, and kissing you.
you jolt your eyes open, melting into mina's touch, as the snow falls on you two.
mina pulls away, breath staggering in both anticipation and anxiety.
you smiled at her, putting your hand on the side of her waist, pulling it closer. "do you really mean it, minari?"
"i d-"
you pulled her into a kiss, once more leaving her breathless as you shared it under the snow. mina laughs, breaking the kiss, laying her forehead against yours.
the snow falls, and it fills mina's senses— the coldness, the warmth, the redness, and the sight of you looking at her with the love she's been looking for in everything.

Consider ✨
An au like Heros Aspect but Wild is stuck in the dark armor instead.
I crave comedy of errors style misunderstandings =)
OOOOOOOOOH boy i started to answer this before and it got REALLY DARK so i've scrapped that and have started again.
SO
A lot of the initial chase and fleeing would be strangely similar. Yes, Wild can talk now, but the others think he's Dark Link, and Dink always lies. They don't listen to a word he says until he's lying in the river, bleeding from where Warriors shot him, trembling as he tries to show he's not a threat.
Dink doesn't bleed. That's their first clue that Wild is one of them and not a monster. That's what gives them pause.
("Wait- he's bleeding." said pinky, holding up a hand to stop the others and lowering his sword a fraction.
What the- damn right, he's bleeding! You just shot me! Wild wanted to retort, but something told him that wouldn't help matters. It was a little voice that he liked to call his inner-Zelda, and for once he elected to listen to it)
And then Sky came stumbling out of the woods, telling his brothers not to attack, that he was one of them.
Wars Four and Legend exchanged glances. Four was the first one to shrug and say 'eh that tracks'. The others wondered at his easy acceptance, but of course, they didn't know about Shadow.
Still, the boys were probably more wary with Wild in the Dark armour than the Aspect, and when he reached out to touch the sword they watched him like hawks. But of course, Fi didn't burn him. Instead she gave him his name and cemented him as one of the team.
("OH THANK HYLIA!" the newly dubbed Wild said, sighing in relief and flopping back into the water. "I thought you guys were really going to kill me!"
The three who had chased him exchanged uncomfortable glances, but none of them said what they were all thinking. For a moment there, so had they.
Wild looked up at them again and they all - minus Sky, of course - started. His eyes were all red and glowed even in the daylight, casting a sickening pallor over his already grey skin. He furrowed his brow and smiled, the scars that laced one side of his face pulling at the movement.
"I- I don't normally look like this." he whispered nervously. "It's a mask I tried on. But I can't get it off." he sighed. "Worst fashion choice ever.")
With this explained, the boys bandage his wound as best they can and bring him back to camp, embarrassed and apologetic. Wild brushes off their apologies. After all, he does look exactly like the shadow monster that has been trying to kill them. What's a little grievous bodily harm between a shared soul, eh?
The others are a little concerned about his blase attitude to being hurt, but who are they to judge?
Once again, they make him wait outside the camp while they explain to the rest who he is and how they met. Legend includes both that he looks like Dink and also that it's because he tried on a mask and got his ass cursed (his words). Wild can hear Time facepalming from where he hides.
He's still nervous stepping into camp. Twilight still encourages him. Wind is still friendly. Time is still welcoming. Hyrule is still nervous. It's obvious that they're all shaken by his appearance, but it takes about the same amount of time for them to all warm up to him as if he was in the Aspect.
The main difference is that Dark!Wild can creep up on them and scare them more effectively, what with being his normal height and having creepy glowing eyes. Also when they're trying to sneak places at night, his eyes are super distracting. He gets banana sunglasses to match sky's, just to hide their glow.
Some of the stunts the Chain pull are different. Rather than Cat Island, Wind tells everyone that Wild is from Shadow Island where he rules over the dead. Some are exactly the same. Wild still makes friends with the cats in ordon, and inexplicably, kids still love him.
He does not understand why.
But what mostly stays the same is that he has brothers who love and care about him, and who think he's an absolute idiot for getting himself cursed to be stuck in the Dink mask.
And yes, he still manages to get stuck in the Mask of Awakening.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY @not-freyja!!!!!! this is a 100% on time not late whatsoever birthday fic. for YOU!!!!!
for you. Legend on his knees. um. yeah! enjoy!
preview under the cut <3
Legend groaned, brow pinched in discomfort. He blinked– once, twice, thrice– but his vision remained blurry. A frustrated grunt echoed in the… wherever he was.
He blinked again, but to no avail. Legend took a deep breath.
Focus.
He would have to rely on his remaining senses if his sight was out. Touch, currently, was the most pressing. Legend could feel the way his arms were twisted behind his back, tied at the wrists with thick, tough rope. No matter how still he kept them, the unforgiving fibers still dug into his unprotected skin.
His ankles were shackled to the floor. His legs were folded beneath him, and by the feel of it, had been for quite some time. Pins and needles prickled at the veteran’s calves, creeping their way up his legs.
Footsteps reverberated around the room. A low chuckle sounded, directly in front of Legend. A tough, calloused hand grabbed him by the chin, forcing his head up.
“Not so heroic now, are we?” A deep voice asked, amusement clear in his tone. “Hero of Hyrule… you didn’t think you could run forever, did you?”
Legend’s frown deepened. He blinked rapidly, finally managing to clear the haze from his eyes. With the image of the man– tall, burly, crooked teeth– his memory slotted into place.
This man thought he was Hyrule. Which meant he wanted Legend’s blood. Which meant-
The vet scowled, baring his teeth at the man. He thrashed against his restraints, forcing the hand off his chin. With his legs folded beneath him, he could only sit up so far, but Legend used every inch of height he could muster as he tried to fight back.
The man laughed, loud and condescending. “Really, I don’t know why you’re still trying. We’ve got you right where we want you, hero scum.” He spat the words like they were poison. Legend sneered up at him with all the intimidation he could muster, eyes hardened and stubborn. The man pulled a knife from his belt, chuckling. “Now, you and I are gonna have some fun.”

Could we please get redeemed ganny and y/n meeting for the first time?
listen listen...these two are not allowed to be as cute as they are but MY GOD
Y/N blinked as she watched the hulking man behind the princess. The princess was telling Tauro about how he'll be staying in the village for his penance and anything needed, such as hard labor, he attested to doing.
She kept a distance at first but wasn't afraid to study him. He stood, looking off into some far-off distance with a deep frown. It was as though he saw something she couldn't imagine. After a long while, he blinked and his amber eyes locked onto her.
Y/N, being how she was, beamed and smiled, waving happily in greeting at him. Startled, the Gerudo hesitantly waved back, making Link blink beside Zelda before looking to Y/N.
He smiled and approached. "Hey. Glad you made it back safely," He greeted. "Y/N, right?"
"Ah, Link. Hiya. Yeah, nailed it." The princess approached curiously. "Good to see you back, Princess."
"Thank you. Are you going up to visit the Zonai Dispenser?"
"Yeah. Admittedly, I wanted to test the advice Link gave me," She said before pulling out a large charge. "Thank you again for letting me have it."
He nodded and hummed, studying the ladders. "Be careful. The cliffs are steep."
"I know. Besides, I'm a trained Sheikah. At least…mostly."
Ganondorf frowned at that as she made off, hurrying to the scaffolding to climb her way up. "Mostly?" He muttered.
"That's Y/N," Zelda said, nodding. "She's a researcher. She knows enough skill to flee a dangerous situation. She's not one for fighting, is what I was told."
He hummed as he followed the two through the village, wondering about his strange new life. "Princess," He said simply, looking at her. "Are you sure this is a good idea?"
"You won't have any assassins coming after you," Zelda assured him. "If anyone were to disobey this, they'd be found quickly and punished accordingly."
"That's not what I mean," He sighed. "My memories." She tensed and sighed. "You said it was a seal. A seal on me has broken once before. What's to say it won't break again?"
"That's the entire reason you're here," Link said dryly. "At the very least–" He pointed up to the mountains, making the Gerudo sigh as he looked to see Dinraal glaring at him from the Ring Ruins. "Someone's always got an eye on you."
Ganondorf grimaced then blinked as he looked over. Y/N was darting over the scaffolding. "Oh goddess, she's going to jump," Zelda muttered. "Link–"
"On it," He said, heading towards the ruins.
Ganondorf blinked and balked, watching the small woman leap to make it over the gap to the other side. Her foot barely grazed the wood as she slipped.
Zelda's gasp made Link freeze as he watched Y/N fall down before a large figure bounded over quickly.
Y/N's body quickly maneuvered in the air, ready to land on her feet when suddenly arms snapped around her waist. She blinked as she met Ganondorf's eyes, hands slamming on his shoulders to stop her from smashing her face against his. He barely staggered when he caught her, only blinking in surprise.
"Be careful!" He finally said after a beat of silence.
"What! I totally had that under control!" She laughed, patting his head. "Nice catch though."
Link balked as he watched the Gerudo set her on her feet. She fixed her shirt and grinned up at the Gerudo. "Zelda," He said, quickly looking at her. "Y/N should be his watcher." He gestured to the Sheikah woman who just smiled as she spoke to Ganondorf, praising him for his quick reflexes.
Zelda blinked and nodded, clearing her throat. "That's not a bad idea. She's always been rather open-minded. Er–Y/N!" She scolded before hurrying up. "You need to quit that! You don't have enough strength to make those types of bounds."
"C'mon. You can just say it's cuz I'm shorter than you," She huffed. "Besides, Link can make those jumps and we're the same height."
"Barely," The hero scoffed. "I've got an entire inch on you."
"Oh-ho-ho," Y/N cooed. "So the Hero of Hyrule likes to compare inches, eh?"
Link's face went beet red as Zelda groaned, forehead falling into her palm. "How are you alive?"
"Luck, and because I'm amazing," Y/N joked. "Well, I'll–"
"Wait," Zelda stammered, making her blink. She sighed and smiled. "Would you be alright being Ganondorf's watcher? By which–"
"You can say it," Y/N said, shrugging. "Everyone else in the village would insta-kill him the moment they see the chance and you don't trust anyone to do it, but that whole thing sparked the idea because honestly? I'm not scared of the big guy. He's just tall. Like Tauro."
Zelda blinked as the three stared at her. "You're a strange vai," Ganondorf finally said.
"Thanks. Lady Paya says the same. Doctor Purah on the other hand gets it," She said, shrugging. "To answer your question though, yeah. I'm cool with it. But it'll cost ya."
Zelda balked at the statement, unsure of what to say. Link smirked, tilting his head. "What is it? What do you want me to cook?"
"Uh?" Zelda muttered, looking at Link.
"Honestly, anything. Your cooking rocks, Link! Plus, I think I might end up getting distracted and forget to cook if I get wrapped up in the study."
"I can ensure that doesn't happen," Ganondorf said to Link. The hero nodded as the Gerudo looked at her again. "What is it you study?" He figured he might as well ask, given he'd be spending more time with her since she agreed to the princess's request.
"Devices mostly. I'm basically working to be able to engineer something from these devices. Link's theft of the Yiga schematics has really helped give better ideas. However, we are lacking the material to completely build them the way he had with this strange adhesive the other arm provided. We're hoping a few remaining servant constructs could help with that information…maybe."
Ganondorf nodded as she pulled a journal from the pack strapped to her thigh, opening up the sketch made. "I need some materials that might be in this dispenser, but not all of them are."
"I can go search the other dispensers," Link offered. "Or…actually, I might have some stored in my house in Tarrey Town."
Y/N smiled. "Thank you. I'll get a more concise list after I check what I can get with the charge. Well, since I'm technically watching you, come with me, Ganny! You can help me carry the devices back."
Link snorted a laugh as Zelda bit her lip at the nickname, watching the woman go ahead to the scaffolding again with the huge Gerudo in tow. Zelda sighed in relief as she watched them.
"Did we do the right thing?" Zelda wondered worriedly.
"It's Y/N," Link assured her. "She's a good influence on people. Besides, he seems less tense around her." He patted her shoulder as Ganondorf stopped Y/N from jumping over again, making her take the ladder to the higher-up bridge. He saw her tongue dart out in response as she begrudgingly did as he said.
"You're right," She muttered, rubbing her arm. "At least they seem to get along."
After a beat of silence, she asked, "How long do you think until she starts excitedly telling him everything about the devices?"
"You seem to think she hasn't already."

[on people calling smfsd fob’s comeback] “i don’t think we went anywhere! we’ve been very very busy!”
he “very earnestly” loves smfsd a lot- it’s in the running for being his favorite fob album! and it means a lot to him that lftos was received so well.
“i have a day job! i score a children’s show” “you have a lot of day jobs actually!” “i have more than i need- its kindof overwhelming!”
“when you’re scoring, you’re sitting in a studio by yourself [...] and then i get plucked out of my studio and get put on a stage with fire and explosions and stuff- it feels very sudden and dramatic!”
“during mania i would go in the studio and take my voice and bend it [digitally] into completely different sounds [...] i was pretty satisfied with that experiment, it was fun”
“when we did records like ioh/fad, it was like [our] eyes were too big for [our] stomach- we had all these big ideas but we would go into the studio and have no idea what we were doing. we were still very green in terms of how to translate those ideas. now, all four of us have had so many experiences [in music] that we kinda know what we're doing and what we're talking about. and i was like, "man, if we could go back to that place, to that kind of studio, to working with neal avron [and] bring in these new experiences- what would that be like?" [it was about] bringing in these new influences and experiences into a studio and letting that sit. instead of having a specific sound we were going for, i just wanted to see what we all do now.”
he talks about wrigley and then does a sports announcer voice/impression
interviewer asks him if its daunting to have the whole year already planned out in terms of touring: “no, because i have very severe adhd so i almost forget that i am the same person in the future. i look at the calendar and i'm like, "oh, future patrick will deal with that! today patrick is doing this.”
he doesnt have a studio right now womp womppp. he’s inbetween studios atm. half the time he’s working at a desk in a hotel. he works off a little keyboard [as seen in the lftos bts vid] and then sends it off to an orchestra
patrick starts interviewing the interviewer lol “where’s the craziest place you’ve taken your radio show?”
he wrote the hulk rollercoaster theme imagining what he’d do if he got to score a hulk movie : )
universal has invited patrick to go ride the hulk rollercoaster but he doesnt like rollercoasters and is terrified of heights lol. during scoring, he scored it to a POV video of the ride but even then he still Felt it lmao
interviewer: “so no sports, no rollercoasters, but you do a great job at music so that’s all that matters!” patrick: “i’m kindof a one note guy. my one note is lots of notes!”
he wants to do a zelda score for nintendo! breath of the wild is his favorite game they’ve made, but one thing he misses about it is that its very quiet musically. he loves the ocarina of time soundtrack.

My relationship with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
I love TotK, I really do. It's fun to play and to explore for a while. But that's it. I kinda have a toxic relationship with this game. It gives me the highest heights just to shove some pretty unnecessary hindrance in my face.
tl;dr: Erasing BotW from TotK was the worst thing they could've done to this game. It's hard to believe that this game's got 5 years of development under its belt. It truly is a disappointing Masterpiece.
I’m just going to head right in.
I absolutely adore a well-written story and exploring new Lands to see what kind of secrets it holds. and am someone who really can't deal with spoilers of any kind, so color me surprised when the second memory I encountered was the one near Lurelin Village where it's exposed that we got a fake Zelda. It felt great to have my theory proven right because I’ve cleared a few Stable Quests before looking for the Tears and figured it out (isn’t very difficult I know). But when I realized that I’d skipped a massive part of this story I was disappointed because I expected a story progression like Botw but ended up spoiling myself with one of the most impactful memories. At the same time, it was so frustrating to see everyone dance on the palm of this impostor's hand while the player knows exactly what's going on and you/Link couldn't do anything about it.
The fact that almost no one recognized Link or even knew of him was also so frustrating; infuriating even. This legendary Hero saved Hyrule along with Princess Zelda in a 100-year-long battle, only to be forgotten? While everyone knows of Zelda? Like, you wanna tell me that the whole time Zelda traveled the lands of Hyrule to learn about the people and forge connections, Link wasn't with her? Her appointed knight that never leaves her side?
I know they chose to basically erase him to make the story less complicated for people who didn't play BotW, but let's be honest the amount of players that fit this criteria can't be more than 5%, and that's thinking generously, so why ruin the experience for the other 95%? Besides a small part of the Zora, the Stableowners, the people at Lookoutlanding, some Shieka, and the Yiga-Clan no one knows about him. In addition to that we also only get two mentions of the champions from botw. Mipha is referenced and I think Daruk gets a mention as well. When I entered Zoras Domain in TotK and saw that they had replaced Miphas Statue with a statue of Link and Sidon (which I find hideous tbh) I was so fucking furious. I adore her and they just pushed her onto some faraway cliff to collect dust. I think Daruk gets referenced in a dialog with Yunobo but that’s it, besides his statue in Goron City. Urbosa and RevalI have been completely forgotten it appears. They could have at least referenced those two regarding their successors having similar powers.
However, I have to say that Gerudo Desert was one of the best areas in TotK with a nice twist to the Questline leading up to the Dungeon. The Desert is being plagued by weird undead monsters and shrouded in a never-ending sandstorm. Gerudo Town is desolated and abandoned and you worry for its citizens. I loved this dreadful approach on the Demon Kings homeland. There are just two things I can't agree with in this new Gerudo Desert.
First, they don't kick Link out of Gerudo Town after the situation is resolved. This clan of proud warriors that cling deeply to their roots and traditions, just let Link walk in and out of Gerudo Town as he likes. It apparently isn't that much of a deal anymore if young VaI were to see a Voi, and saving their Town for the second time after defeating Va Naboris, returning peace to Gerudo Desert, and retrieving their heirloom was now enough to allow him to enter without a disguise? Oh yes, I forgot BotW didn't happen apparently. Secondly, I want female Gerudo clothes for Link. Why would you rob us of this experience? I also strongly feel like they designed the areas in this order Rito>Gerudo>Gorons>Zora it just gets less and less refined throughout the game. I first encountered the Wind Temple and then went to the Water Temple afterward. I felt like I've skydived full speed from the sky islands straight into the depths without a paraglider. Moktoroc was a Boss I'd expect in a meme fight or mod or something, but a fully-fledged dungeon boss..?
Talking about bosses, something I really enjoyed in TotK were the encounters with Master Khoga. He is such a delight to encounter in this game; truly the most polished and lovable character in all of TotK (and BotW in my opinion). He has his purpose, he is silly, sometimes overly so, but all in all, is he a real threat to the inhabitants of Hyrule and Link. For real, Master Khoga and his Clan always recognize Link and engage with him BECAUSE he is Link and not because he just happened to be there. When I encountered Master Khoga for the first time in the depths I was so excited because I remembered that he fell down this chasm in BotW and that the most iconic and best villain in BotW is still alive. I really was just so delighted I think I almost cried (I'm a huge fangirl, leave me alone). He and the Yiga Clan made the Depths their own in the time that passed between those two games. The only thing I would have wished for was that Master Khogas questline could have been a bit longer and that he shouldn't have ended up like in BotW. And what I would have liked was to have one huge Yiga-Clan structure that served as their home base in the depths, like the Yiga Hideout on the surface.
There are just three more things I want to mention that don't sit well with me in this game.
First: the Depths are empty. I want to make each Zelda game my own and play it at least once to 100% in any regard. All Locations, all Shrines, all Lightroots, all chests, all quests, all Koroks (urgh), and so on. I want to harvest everything this game has to offer. But when I was "exploring" the depths in my progressed savestate I just found myself comparing the overworld to the depths to find shrines or lightroots. I traveled from one destination to another just to complete my task and gaining every shrine in the process was a nice addition. Tbh, I don't even know what the reward was for clearing all Shrines. I remember you got some kind of seed or flower from the lightroots tho.
The depths are incredibly dull. What happens in the depths?
1. You get the Autobuild ability
2. Fire Temple (Great design choice btw, very esthetic tho not challenging)
3. Minerus questline
4. Master Khoga and the Yiga-Clan
5. Weird Poe trading Statues (idk if this should count tbh)
6. Lost Woods access
7. Demon King Ganondorf (Daddy)
So we've got 6-7 major events in the depths. An area as big as Hyrule itself filled with almost nothing. You encounter abandoned Mines that always work the same. Search for the chest, pick up some Zonaite, and off you go. Yiga-Clan outposts; kill the Yiga, read the journal, loot the chests, and next. And don't get me started on the recycled dungeon bosses you can now just kill for fun down there. WHY?? I hate when bosses, incredibly strong monsters that are tied to a location as its last obstacle, as its guardian to prevent the Hero from accomplishing his goal, just get reused as an overworld boss. Tho they're so easy to kill a Gleeok is more dangerous. Now that I think about it King Gleeok might just be the most challenging Boss in TotK.
The second thing I would have wished for, but knew it would not happen was for Link to permanently lose his arm and for Zelda to remain a Dragon. I knew it wouldn't happen because Zelda always has a happy ending but it would have solidified TotK as another huge break in the tloz formula. Link losing his arm would have shown just how incredibly dangerous this whole situation really was, even to the Hero of the Wild. A crippled Hero with lost limbs and remains scarred for life (like the theories for the Heros Shade from Twilight Princess) is something Zelda lacks and just solidifies that Link is fucking overpowered and nothing can stop him. Don't get me wrong, I know it's kinda his thing to just be like this and to make the player feel accomplished in saving the land of Hyrule and its Princess, but we’re in the 2020s, and people want some kind of realism, drama, and especially in this case, involvement in the story. The way things are, it just feels like a fever dream sometimes. Might be an unpopular opinion but I'd like to see Link struggle for once in a while. (I know, botw’s basically a summary of Zelda and Links’ struggle to save Hyrule, but that’s not my point here and you know it.)
I know the chances of Zelda remaining a Dragon forever were close to nonexistent, and I think I wouldn't have a problem with this, if the developer had just given us a real explanation as to why, and how this is even possible. Mineru emphasized multiple times, that this forbidden ritual is irreversible and that she would erase herself if she were to proceed. Her decision has such a massive impact on the Story. Zelda went to such lengths to protect her Kingdom and support Link, she gave up everything and she was so terrified but her trust in Link is just so great that she believes that he will at least save Hyrule; her kingdom when she can only provide him with the tool to do so. Only to be reversed because two ghosts appeared. The theory that Sonia and Rauru channeled their energy through Link to reverse Zeldas form like Mineru said is just that, a theory. But aside from Raurus power and spirit residing with Link in his arm, where did Sonia come from? When the imprisoning war happened Sonia was long gone and there were no hints of her spirit being connected to Link or Zelda. It just feels unpolished and the explanation of "magic" isn't satisfying at all.
Lastly, something that bothers me in particular, I don't think many miss this feature. I am a huge fan of the Dark Souls series and challenging games in general. So my disappointment, when I learned that there wasn't a Master Mode for TotK, and there are no plans to implement one in the future, was immense. I would have loved to play through this game with a more challenging note and 100% it that way. I’m really sad about this, would have loved to see improved golden monsters that would have destroyed me and tested my skill.
To end this rant on a positive note, TotK is still one of the best games I've played. Its mechanics and freedom of action are one in a kind and I could spend hours just playing around with ZonaI devices and build the most ridiculous builds. It has really well-thought-out Quests and fun characters to interact with. Link and Zeldas relationship (as an aromantic myself) just feels so fulfilling. I know many people see their relationship and their dependency on each other as signs of a canon love story between these two, and by all means, go for it (that Zelda lives in Links house now is evidence enough. And I ship them occasionally myself)! But for me, the fact that it isn't explicitly said leaves room for interpretation, and, they are just two people who can 100% trust each other and whose lives are so incredibly intertwined that they are just codependent at this point. I love how they've written Zelda and Links relationship.
And my highlight, of course, is Ganondorf and the final boss fight. I adore Ganondorf his design is so incredibly well done, you feel his ambitions and dominance throughout every "encounter" we witness. Though we don't know those ambitions and anything about him besides that he wants to restore the rule of "the survival of the fittest", to be honest. He is pure fanservice I tell you. And I live for this.
The final fight is a (almost) one one-on-one with the Demon King(Just like Twilight Princess, one of the most epic showdowns of all time). An excellent magician who mastered all forms of weaponry just like Link and is even capable of flurry rushing (an ability that many/I thought was Links champion ability in BotW). It's epic, it's cinematic, and filled with surprises. When I fought Ganondorf in the first half, I just assumed we got two phases, and that's it, like in Botw. But holy shit. The second phase started and his health bar just kept going and he looks like THAT with his cocky attitude; brother. The moment you defeat him, and think it's over, you realize what he's about to do but before you can act he just grabs Link, and smashes him through tons of stone, and debris (however he came out of this unscathed; would have loved if he got at least a little injured and then healed by the light dragon or something.) and suddenly you are in the skies facing off against this massive titan of a Dragon. This fight is as challenging as the Dark Beast Ganon fight in BotW but its buildup and the resulting fight high above the surface with the help of Zelda who subconsciously knows it's her destiny to support Link in this fight makes it way better than just a cinematic final showdown. Link manages to defeat the Demon Dragon and after he blows up like a nuke (wtf was that anyway, so awesome!) and Zelda is transformed back to her human form. Link is skydiving to catch Zelda as they plummet from the sky and the moment, he finally reaches her hand and catches her will be forever one of the most emotional and impactful scenes in any Zelda game. Despite its flaws, TotK offers an undeniably captivating experience. With its innovative mechanics, memorable moments, and interesting characters, it carved its own niche within the Zelda universe. While it does leave me a bit disappointed that it ended up like it did, expectations for Zelda Games are always skyrocketing but I still don’t think that we expected too much. I rate this a solid 8.5/10 while every other Zelda entrance is a 10/10.
I love TotK but like I said. It's a toxic relationship and whenever I find myself wanting to revisit this Hyrule I rather play BotW than TotK. Sorry for my rant.

..gaffen and zeldas horses pre and post cal (including hylia brainworms)? names + personalities perhabs
hehe oh this might be long. because I . uh
drew all of them.
gaffen has five horses so. full slots in-game yea. non-"special" horses are sneaky, cheese, and epona! the giant horse is named pumpkin, and the white horse is named cloud, however he does not really consider cloud his horse. he also did the epona thing </3 i am taking a little artistic license with the horses because I want there to be different heights + builds for them uh yea. i used to be really into horses growing up so its my right. horse isle 2 babeeyyyy
sneaky -- mare, skewbald, 14.5 hh. I would say she's probably descended from horses that were already running wild around hyrule from before the calamity. I'd say her build is similar to that of an american mustang for that reason (short, very hardy. tho tbf I really dont think a lot of feral horses WOULDNT be like this. im just. messing around) she's gaffen's first horse, and his favorite one.
Tumblr media
she's about seven years old now? gaffen caught her when she was fairly young and very soon after he left the great plateau so she took to him very well. shes very gentle and intelligent, generally speaking doesn't know what to do around monsters. gaffen had to train her to not shy around them because she is not a fan and is kind of a coward </3 she knows a bunch of tricks like shaking hands and standing up on her hind legs, retrieving objects, and other stuff. she's very treat-oriented and will listen to anyone who gives her food. this actually led to a yiga kidnapping? once? yeah the yiga tried to steal her oops. her name is sneaky bc gaffen had to sneak up on her to catch her. very creative
epona -- mare, flaxen chestnut, 13.9 hh, about six years old. also descended from already-feral horses, though she may have a little farm horse that got free in there. she's the second horse gaffen registered!
Tumblr media
epona started just. following gaffen one day. this is presumably because she was bored and smelled food on him. she's a very bold horse, and not afraid of a fight. she also gets bored really easily, so gaffen has taught her several tricks as well. she really likes people, and is the most vocal of gaffen's horses. gaffen named her after a story he heard about chosen heroes naming their horses epona, as he didn't know the story when he found sneaky.
cheese-- stallion, 15hh blue roan. he's descended from horses used by the hyrulean military. he's got a very long, pretty mane and is very well-built, similar to an andalusian.
Tumblr media
cheese was named after his coat color and markings. he's around seven, and is gaffen's fourth horse. gaffen thought he looked like mold but the stable owner he tried to register him at (it was tasseren) said he wouldnt let gaffen name a horse mold. so he settled on cheese. cheese is generally a very sweet horse who loves attacking monsters. he's kind of annoying around people he doesn't know and will nibble on your clothes. but! he is a great jumper and people have asked gaffen if they could breed cheese with their mares once or twice. his favorite treat is apple horse treats that some stables will sell
pumpkin -- 23 hh mare, technically this coloration I dont THINK exists irl but the closest is probably a liver chestnut. she has the build of a shire more or less, and her bloodline is believed to be the result of an abandoned breeding project in the gerudo highlands.
Tumblr media
pumpkin is AGGRESSIVE. towards horses, people, what have you. the problem is she's very attached to gaffen and gaffen as far as hes concerned thinks pumpkin can do no wrong. she runs over things with no remorse. its not like she wants to she just doesnt care. gaffen thinks she was the matriarch of her old herd. she's a very proud horse and refuses to do tricks but she is very affectionate towards gaffen and generally listens to him. her favorite treat is endura carrots. she is the fourth horse gaffen has registered and is around fourteen years old.
cloud-- 14.2 hh white stallion, around nine years old. my god I did not want to make him white I wanted to make him a grey or ivory or perlino but nooo. canonical pink nose which means he's probably white ew ew ew. anyway he is based on an arabian horse, however I gave him feathering, he's kinda fuzzier than an arabian and he probably has a mane more like an andalusian. i love andalusians. but he descended from a special breed of horses called the hyrulean imperial breed! they're a hotblooded breed known for their intelligence and grace.
Tumblr media
cloud is the last horse gaffen registered, probably because it was so frustrating to catch him. unfortunately toffa was a LITTLE bit more picky in this au lets say. and didnt just look for a white horse but something with the breed characteristics of a a hyrulean imperial. so gaffen ended up catching several horses either sired by cloud or part of his herd that were a similar color. cloud, uh, well he hates everyone. he is wild as they come, very difficult to train, even for someone who likes training horses and had quite a bit of experience like gaffen did at the time. this was only exacerbated by hylia having recently popped into gaffen's head and insisting he give the horse to widget and train him properly, which only made him more angry at the horse. gaffen just. didnt really treat him well. to him, that is not his horse. cloud is a big fan of apples but he also likes sugar cubes-- basically anything sweet.
ok pre-calamity horses now
chestnut-- 15 hh mahogany bay gelding, 15 at the time of the calamity.
Tumblr media
chestnut is a horse that gaffen got from his parents when he was thirteen. it took him a bit to get used to riding but once he understood it and began to bond with chestnut he fell in love with horses. they're better than dogs, obviously. chestnut was basically the perfect companion-- he was trained very well for his job before gaffen got him and had a gentle disposition. chestnut, unlike gaffen, seemed to enjoy the company of just about everyone, and most stables gaffen went to complimented him on how well-kept and good-natured chestnut was. when the calamity hit gaffen ordered the boy under him who was responsible for the horses to set chestnut and the other horses free. it's unknown if the horse survived.
lily -- 14.2 hh white mare, around 5 years old at the time of the calamity. I DO NOT KNOW WHY WE CAME UP WITH THE SAME NAME </3 she is a hyrulean imperial
Tumblr media
widget did not like lily at first, and lily did not like her. though she was trained to be ridden without complaint by the royal family specifically the horse had a way of being annoying without technically going outside of the rules she was trained to follow. though some stablehands suggested she take some time to learn better riding habits widget didn't really care to do it as she had made up her mind that she didn't like horses and didn't want to put any effort into learning how to bond with hers. eventually, with some help from gaffen the Horse Obsessed Freak, widget does learn to like and work with lily and they get along fairly well.

It's LU Update time!!!!!
Dawn 6 was fun, I enjoyed this update.
Wild has fear, four is a gremlin and SKY MY BELOVED RETURNS
Now this post is LONG so grab some popcorn and some water!
So let's get into it! - Spoilers abound, obviously
From the top!
First off im gonna talk about a parallel, I've pulled up the conversation between Wild and Four from Sunset 7 - 9 Cause I've noticed something.
I'll be bringing up Sunset 7 - 9 more so keep an eye out!
Here is the scene from sunset 7, where we see four near the stable
Tumblr media
He could be using the house as a metaphor. Wild going to Twilight was out of the question at the time. He was not in his right mind. It was not up for debate.
He was closed off.
And here is the one from the new update
Tumblr media
He's more open to discussion. But he is still not entirely open. His body acts as the barrier rather than the house. I like this top down view, it really opens up the area.
And opens up the floor for discussion. But he's still on guard.
Especially facing the stable.
Tumblr media
He's going through his bag here, but he looks guarded. Which I assume is him still thinking about how they last spoke. He knows Wild is coming, assuming he asked Hyrule to tell him.
Now wild
Tumblr media
I like that he thinks of Zelda as he's approaching Four. It's really quite sweet, and shows that he probably doesn't see himself as a diplomat after everything. Makes me think what's happening back in Wild's world?
Is Zelda bringing the people together back home? Is she trying to put together some form of government? Who knows?
Now
Another parallel which got me excited
We see Four and wild standing in the same frame facing each other twice in Sunset 7
Tumblr media
Here And
Tumblr media
Here.
In both frames Wild is slouched, getting down to Four's level, or close enough to it.
But in dawn 6 there's only one. And it's this.
Tumblr media
Wild is stood to his full height and just Takes responsibility. He even appears to be standing to attention here. It shows just how much he's had to change in such a short period. Wild is a knight after all. He's got that ingrained in him.
I wonder how Warriors would react if he saw this conversation, Wild is acting like he's talking to a superior. Maybe he sees the Chain as superior to him?
Im so proud of the Wild child. He's a good man.
Moving on...
Tumblr media
We know Four asked Wild here to give him the new Sword. (Which I'll talk about later cause I love it)
So his confusion here is understandable.
Tumblr media
Now we get the shock and the crossed arms. Four is still understandably angry at Wild for the last time they spoke. As they don't interact again after Sunset 9. Not really. We get the passing comments from Wild. But Four says nothing.
Sunset 12
Tumblr media
And Sunset 13 for reference
Tumblr media
So this conversation is important
Jojo is spoiling us with these full body shots as well
Tumblr media
Wild child
Now we get to Wild's apology
Tumblr media
These two panels especially. Wild was scared. Really scared. We know from prior comic chapters that Wild and Twilight have a history and that they are a set. The way Wilds face screws up here.
He was worried. As they all were. But with his connection to Twilight being that much deeper he would have been feeling the pressure.
Tumblr media
Four is also super expressive. I love how he looks here. As the fight they had. Now that clearer heads have prevailed. Was caused by both parties. They were stressed. And stressed people especially heroes are more prone to anger.
Tumblr media
I love these panels.
Wilds face is just, so sweet. Fours is just adorable.
And the hand shake! I love them
Now this must be said
Tumblr media
Gremlin four! Gremlin four!
Tumblr media
I love Wilds expression here as he twists. He was clearly very side lined by the whole. There's four of you thing.
Quadruplets - Oh i love that
Now we get to the sword!
Tumblr media
Wild's panel has me screaming I love him
He's all proud oh himself for apologising then four pulls out the sword. and he's like.
Oh damn
Tumblr media
You can see on wilds face just how much this means to him
Just look at him
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
He looks so happy
Which is a big change from the last few days for him. It's nice to see him happy for once. :D
Now this has absolutely been said by someone somewhere.
But
Tumblr media
It's dangerous to go alone Wild! Take this! :D
Tumblr media
He looks at the sword like an old friend. Which, to be honest. Is fair. In fact, a lot of the links look at their swords like this.
Tumblr media
You know i cant go one update without mentioning the background faces. Look at this little gremlin stance.
Love him
Now
The moment you have clearly been waiting for if you've followed me for any length of time.
MY BLORBO HAS RETURNED TO US!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
MY SWEET BLORBO BELOVED
Oh, I got sooooo many happy hands, Blorbo beloved it been agesssssss! (Last time we saw Sky was Dawn 4)
Oh lordy, he's sweating, he's probably been running all over town trying to find everyone after getting the letters.
Tumblr media
He running
Tumblr media
God this panel is my fave of the entire thing, Sky is a mood and i love everything about him.
Just
The face
His face gives me so much life and I love him so much
Tumblr media
The return of the king
Or in this case
Gremlin Sky.
There's no denying that he read all those letters. They were all addressed to Link after all. And in technicality, He is Link. The first Link. And the mailman did give them all to him after all.
Do you think there was a love letter from Malon in that pile he got? Do you think he flushed it?
>:D
Jojo that cliffhanger is gonna kill me, Im so looking forward to finding out what was in those letters!
And that's a wrap!!!
Oh boy, that was long. Thanks for sticking with it! Now, I fade until I am needed again!
Remember to drink some water, eat a snack and stretch! Remember you've got this!
:D

Meet my Zelda BOTW/TORK oc! Sorry that the pic is kind blurry I'll try to draw him more down the line. I made him for an rp server and I decided to share him on here.
BASIC INFORMATION
Name: Kalvet
Nicknames: Kal or Vet
Age: 26
Gender/Sex: Male
Sexuality: Pan
Species: Hylian/Shekiah
Occupation: Traveling Merchant/ Thief
APPEARANCE :
Body type: Skinny, but muscular
Height: 5’7
Weight: 159 lbs.
Skin: White
Hair color/style: Blackish blue. His hair is long and messy.
Eye color: Red
Scars: His right eye is scarred.
Accessories: N/A
PERSONALITY:
Basic Personality: Kalvet appears to be a kind and smooth talking gentleman. Which is true, somewhat. He appears that way to get clients to purchase his wares. As well as to throw people off his scent of being a thief. On the job as a thief he’s silent and ruthless. Almost as if Kalvet’s a monster rather than a human. Yet despite this he isn’t heartless and will give support in some way or fashion. How much support he’ll give depends on how close he is with the person who needs it . If they’re a stranger or an acquaintance he'll give them the bare minimum. If they're friends then he’ll do whatever he can to help them. However, having someone that close to him is rarity since Kalvet has the belief that most people will just like him to get what they want. So he tends to be cordial with people at best. If he does find someone who he wants to get closer to then he will be more friendly with them, but he will still keep his wits about him. With those who he considers as friends he will playfully tease them and will open up to them a bit more. Once he recognizes them as a friend he will be loyal to them. More than willing to go through hell and back for them. This is especially the case if someone gives him a scale from one of the great dragons. Since he always looked up to them because of the stories that his family told him. Speaking of, Kalvet is a great story teller, and will tell stories that his parents told him or stories about his travels.
Likes: Dragons, dragon scales, exploring, finding new places, hot springs, voltfruit, sweet foods, telling stories, campfires, the desert, sand seals, riding sand seals, zora’s domain, swords, Faron, myths and tales
Dislikes: The Yiga Clan, the Yiga Clan hideout, spicy foods, people asking about his eye, bows, the cold, Hebra, lairs, getting into Gerudo Town, getting up early, and being a burden to people
Strengths: Kalvet is a very skilled swordsman and even knows how to use two of them at the same time. In fact his main weapon is two hook swords. Kalvet is also very perspective and remembers little details about anyone he meets.
Weaknesses: Isn’t trusting of people and will bottle up his emotions.
RELATIONSHIPS:
 Parents:
Mother and Father= Deceased
Gerudo Woman (haven't thought of her name yet)= Adoptive Mother
 Siblings: N/A
Friends/Acquaintances: Link, Impa, Purah, Paya, Robbie, Jerrin, Granté, Beedle, Kass, Riju, Pritana, and Nali
BACKSTORY:
Kalvet lived an average life in a small village. The village was small enough where everyone knew and got along with each other. He had parents who loved him as well as friends that cared for him. Despite being an only child, Kalvet had many children around his age that he could play with. He played with them so much that he considered them all as siblings. Every night before he went to bed his parents would tell him the stories of the great dragons. Kalvet was so fascinated by the dragons that he always dreamed of seeing one, or at least getting something from them like a scale. Kalvet swore that when got older he would take his parents to see the dragons. However when the boy was 12 his life changed for the worst.
During the return of Calamity Kalvet's village was attacked. Not only by the Calamity itself, but by some Yiga Clan members. The once peaceful and beautiful village was now nothing more than ash and ruin. The fire roared throughout the village as he tried to save his parents, but unfortunately he couldn’t save them. Kalvet tried to find some of his other villagers. While doing so he found out that one of the older children joined the Yiga Clan. Feeling enraged and betrayed he went to attack him, but Kalvet couldn’t even come close to him as he was slashed in the eye, making him blind. Despite that he still tried to fight, it wasn’t until he was knocked out that he stopped.
When he woke up he saw that the Yiga Clan had been long gone, but his eye was patched up by some of the knights that had come over to check things out. Kalvet had explained everything that had happened, The knights swore that they would find and kill the Yiga who burned and killed everyone in his village. Well, almost everyone, that person who joined the Yiga might as well have been dead to Kalvet. As he residented him and resented everyone. Stealing from any and everyone for survival. It wasn’t until his teenage years where he started to trust people again. That was through his adoptive mother, a gerudo. It took him a while to trust her, but once he did the woman had taught her how to use swords. Particularly the hook swords. Still angry at the Yiga he vowed to steal any and everything from them just like they did to him. He would even make money off of them by selling their equipment to anyone who would buy it.

TASK 006: THE TALENT SHOW [ ... encore ... ]
“Actually, wait, can I go again?”
Tumblr media
Even at the heights of her alcoholism, Reece had always been sort of a lightweight: she’s been the same height since middle school, and she’s held her liquor like an (alcoholic) eighth-grader indefinitely. Seventh months of sobriety, though, had rendered her tolerance at an all-time-low, and she felt dizzy and warm almost as soon as she swallowed against the familiar burn of the liquor.
She floated her way through the final six performances; she was sickly, shamefully satisfied by the way the heat moving through her cells made everything feel better, exactly like she knew it would. Who had she been to try and pretend that she could suffer through a lifetime of white-knuckled restraint? Not every unloved child could grow up into somebody who’d been worth saving. She was, after all, her mother’s bastard daughter: an aberrant footnote at the end of somebody else’s better story. Why not drink?
After a few minutes, the shot settled, Reece’s cranium loosened, and all of the rest of it went away, leaving behind only the simple, salient question, something that didn’t make her sad at all: Why not drink?
Through Naomi’s knife-throwing, Vikram’s recitation of Pi, Natalia’s dreary Debussy, Reece floated, and she thought, Why not drink? And she didn’t know that she was going to sneak another shot until she did it, and she didn’t know she was going to take the stage again once everything was over until she did it, but once she was up there again, blinking against the light as if she’d woken up there, mid-sleepwalking, Reece understood that the entire evening was irreversible. She’d already stood up in front of everyone again, which meant that the worst thing she could possibly do would be not to make it count.
“Actually, wait, can I go again?” Reece interrupted what might have otherwise been the end of the talent show, not waiting for anyone to grant her permission—she was flailing in the focus, looking out at all of those sets of eyes, spilling irradiance like headlights, auspicious of roadkill. “Because I think I did it wrong, before. With the song. He didn’t even like that song,” she explained, with a derisive snort, as if she and Richard’s ghost and all of them in the room were in on some kind of inside joke at Reece’s own expense. “
I actually have a confession to have instead, if that’s cool, ‘cause I lied before, the other day. Mickey started talking about the last time she saw Richard, and I said the last time I saw him was July—I did see him then, on my grandma’s birthday—that story was true, I mean—but I saw him again, too, after that.”
There had to be some reason that she was telling them this, but she didn’t think it was absolution. She didn’t think. “Last time I saw Richard, it was the first week of August.” She’d made the drive with the brand-new six-month sobriety chip in her pocket—homemade, courtesy of Zelda, a shiny plastic party-store coin with three googly eyes super-glued to each side; one for every month since Reece got sober. “I drove up from Staten Island without calling first, and when I showed up here, he said, ‘Reece, what a pleasant surprise,’ and then I turned and puked on Jerry’s feet, instead. Now, I know what you’re thinking, ‘cause it’s what he was thinking, which is why I told him, ‘don’t worry, I’m not drunk! I’m just pregnant. Also, can I have 500 bucks for an abortion?’ He was quiet for the longest time—like, somebody was on the floor, cleaning my puke off of Jerry, and Richard was still just looking at me. I thought, my God, I’ve finally done it, Mrs. Tristan was right, I’ve given the poor man an aneurysm; I’ve killed him. But then he finally cleared his throat, and he went to get his checkbook. And then he went to get his keys." He'd driven him there himself, Reece silent in the passenger seat, unendurably grateful. "He let me crash here that weekend. And when I left, he, uh—he told me to… to take care of myself, and to… come again soon,” she said, her voice cracking, breaking off, rising up into a reedy, lachrymal pitch. “So, that’s, uh—that’s the last time I saw him.”

Fic Prompts: Free Day Thursday
Featuring: Wind Waker and Gerudo translations from here
*"You...look different, little captain."
Tumblr media
Ganondorf couldn't help cringing just a little. The guise of Princess Zelda ill-fitted the pirate.
"I can't see my face, but my arms are the wrong color. How bad is it?" Tetra demanded, "What did that ghost creep do with my sword?"
She truly did not understand who he was, then. What he represented. To her, Ganondorf was merely an antagonist she'd run across, but not a serious nemesis. It would have been insulting if it weren't so amusing.
Tumblr media
"He has made you into the likeness of his departed daughter, your ancestor," Ganondorf said bluntly. "Anything that does not fit that role has likely been discarded."
Tetra was furious. "Dorta Hailiya voe!" she shrieked, "Sa'deva!"
In flawless Gerudo.
Ganondorf had not anticipated this. Who had taught the sailor's brat Gerudo? He was the last of his people, was he not? The dark lord drew back a step and pondered this unpleasant surprise. Perhaps the Sheikah still lived. After all the generations of Gerudo they'd killed in the days before his birth, Ganondorf wouldn't have been surprised if some of them picked up the language for espionage. That added insult to injury, then.
Ganondorf drew himself up to his full height and glared down at the would-be princess. "Who taught you those words?"
Still fuming, the child paced back and forth. After a moment, she ripped off the long gloves and threw them down to be trampled. "These are not my clothes," she growled, "this is not my skin. These are not my weapons. A'ni yaigeru'orq!"
I am of the Traveling Women.
Ganondorf knew where those words had come from. Could a descendant of his ancient enemies really share kin with his people? Was it possible that the blood of one of his many daughters flowed through the little pirate's veins? The sorcerer stroked his beard and frowned. Then, he decided that it couldn't hurt anything but the king of Hyrule to see how far the girl's knowledge went.
"A'ni Ganoendorf, de'shert Gerudo," he introduced himself, "I am Ganondorf, of the Desert People of the Spear."
This halted the girl in her tracks. She craned her neck to stare up at him. After a long few seconds, she stammered, "The- the desert? It's been underwater for-"
"Generations," Ganondorf finished. His frown deepened. "I survived. As did others of my clan, obviously, if these yaigeru'orq taught you to speak our words."
Tetra's eyes widened. "Whoa! How old are you?!" She didn't wait for an answer. "You're like, ancient! A vo'baani! Hey, Vo'baani, what's your deal with Link? Sure, he's kind of a goody two-shoes, but he's just a kid!"
She planted her fists on her hips. "You don't have to make things so rough for him all the time! He's got enough trouble with that dumb talking boat Hailiyadorf that keeps dragging him into hero business."
Ganondorf couldn't be certain, but he thought he felt his right eye twitch, just a little.

Blorbo vibes for everyone since I haven’t updated my long fics in a hot minute sorry
In Breath of the Sky, Champion’s laying awake in the barracks wondering what tomorrow will bring as their journey will begin. Zellie’s zonked out in the royal library, Rhoam is researching about the Triforce (he got Zellie a blanket), Cloud and Zel are stargazing and loving every second of it ❤️, Abel is praying and worrying. It’s a quiet night, with crickets chirping and a cool breeze, and fireflies in the gardens.
In Blood of the Hero, it’s a grey, chilly dawn, Abel is talking gravely to Impa while Tilieth rests. The mood is somber and things are… not going great.
In the healthcare AU, Legend is suffering through a HIPAA compliance video, Hyrule is snoozing in the bunk room on duty, Warriors and Wind are playing video games, Time is in emergency surgery, Malon is watching a movie with Twilight and Wild, Sky is enjoying a glass of wine with chill music, and Four is sleeping in preparation for a day shift. It’s a rainy night, perfect for relaxing.
In Golden Mercy, Ganondorf and Nabooru are getting acquainted while Gan tries to figure out exactly how much time has passed since he got sealed away. The last image he saw was Hemisi, Link, and Zelda using the Triforce against him.
In Chronicles of the Domain, Abel just put Link to bed and is enjoying taking bets with other knights about how well they can dive like the Zora. He won’t dive, of course; he’s scared of heights. But he’ll watch the others do it. Oh, and he’s totally ignoring that tickle in his chest. It’s just the damp, right?
