i do use this game primarily as a way to take a billion screenshots of my Elf Of The Week, but also the entire in your heart shall burn sequence still goes hard as fuck. that moment in the chantry of the herald fully deciding to die. corypheus, albeit somewhat a lame villain, coming in with that “i have seen the throne of the gods and it was empty” line. the game forcing the herald to stagger and drag themself through the snow, shivering and injured and exhausted, the anchor going wild on their hand the entire time, and then the second they hear a familiar voice and know they’re safe their legs give out. i just hgj;sdhgjsd

"Don't be scared, I'm right here," Yakko?

The Warner siblings were doing okay.

Sure, there were a few bumps along the path here and there, Wakko almost passing out being one of them, but ever since Yakko got some food in him, he was starting to look and feel better. Not his usual self, of course (you can’t just shake off starvation like that), but better. Then again, almost anything is a better state than dying. 

But still.

Nothing major had happened. They were sailing smoothly up and down the mountains, the wind and snow on their side. They were even having a little bit of fun again. It was... nice. 

“So the wishing star can really give you anything you want?” Dot asked. Wakko nodded. 

“That’s what Pip said,” He grinned, his tongue sticking out. 

“So we’re really gonna get mom and dad back? Wow,” Dot smiled a little. “I’m done with grandma.”

“I think you speak for all of us when you say that,” Yakko laughed. 

“What do wanna do when they come back?” Dot asked her brothers. 

“I think I’d give them a big hug and then we’d go back to the garden and have a big fancy picnic all day, just like the ones we used to have on mine and Dadoo’s birthday,” Wakko grinned. 

“What about you Yakko?” Dot turned her head to him. 

“That’s a good one...” Yakko thought for a moment. Truthfully, he had no idea. He’d been preoccupied with worries about his sibs ever since they died he hardly had the time to envision what he’d do if they came back or never died. He had to give it some thought. 

“I’d hug them, obviously. Then, I’d tell them about all the good things they missed, the lessons we’ve given you, the birthdays, and other good things like that. Then, I’d just... spend time with them. We wouldn’t have to do anything- just to sit in a room and read with them in the room too would be enough for me...” Yakko thought aloud. 

“Oooo, that sounds nice,” Dot smiled a little. 

“What about you Dot?” Yakko asked.  Dot sat and thought. 

“I think I’d hug them, tell them how much I missed them, and then have mom brush my hair and sing lullabies, and Dad reads bedtime stories... maybe we’d even play dolls together,” Dot hugged herself a little, touching her hair lightly. 

“It’s been so long... I barely remember what it felt like...” Dot frowned. Yakko felt a wave of sadness and empathy for her. 

“It’s okay Dot- mom will be back brushing your hair and singing lullabies and Dad’ll be back with his stories before you know it,” Yakko reassured, and Dot’s face brightened. 

“Yeah! They’ll be back before I know it,” She said happily. 

“How much longer do you think, Yakko?” Wakko asked. 

“Probably within the hour.” 

That felt crazy to say. 

“Within the hour.”

His parents were less than an hour away. 

This was actually happening. 

“Cool,” Wakko nodded. 

“Yeah... cool,” Yakko chuckled, still reeling at the thought.

The siblings rode in silence for a moment, each processing just how close they were, getting more and more excited the more they thought about it. 

This wasn’t some far-off fantasy- the star was right there, just beyond. All they had to do was reach it first, and since they hadn’t run into any other travelers it actually looked like they’d make it- it seemed luck was finally on their side for once.  

“Hey Yakko- there’s someone behind us,” Wakko pulled on Yakko’s pant leg and pointed. 

Of course there was...

Yakko sighed, and looked, before freezing. 

It was the royal carriage. 

“Fire!” A voice from within the carriage ordered. 

“You two- get down,” Yakko ordered, as a cannon was heard, and it exploded no more than two feet to the left of them. Dot and Wakko were quick to obey. 

“Of course her carriage has a cannon- of course it does,” Yakko growled as he steered them away, as he heard it fire again, this time landing two feet from their right. 

“Yakko- are we gonna-?”

“Everything’s gonna be okay, I got you,” Yakko assured, looking back and saw Angelina sticking her head out the window. 

She looked terrible. The wind caused her usually perfect up-do to lose quite a few hairs, which were now flapping in the wind. Rage had consumed her, and her usually refined makeup created dark smudgy circles under her eyes. Her fur shawl also slipped off of one shoulder, and overall she looked like she was losing it. 

Huh. 

Yakko did always wonder what would happen if they tried to run away. 

Guess that was the answer. 

Yakko then put his attention back onto the path ahead, and bit his lip when he realized it was about to get a little narrow, meaning he probably couldn’t weave should they aim directly for them... though he could try... Hopefully, the person firing was a better person than their grandmother, and wouldn’t aim for them, not on purpose...

“It’ll be okay,” Yakko said again, sucking in a breath of cold air as he weaved through a few trees before going onto the narrow path. 

Thankfully, it appeared the person in charge of firing was either a poor shot or wasn’t aiming for them on purpose like he wanted, because no matter what, he always hit the mountainside. However, this wasn’t a good thing, because it caused the snow to shift and for rocks to fall onto the path, which Yakko feared would cause either an avalanche or rockslide- neither of which would be good.

“Is that grandma?” Wakko asked, peeping his head to look. 

“I said to stay down,” Yakko ordered, and Wakko went back down.  

The cannon fired again, this time sending a loud cracking sound through the mountain. 

Yakko just had to jinx it, didn’t he?

He heard the guard behind on the carriage curse, and Yakko tried to pick up the speed of the sled before anything happened- they were almost down too- After that it was just an open field to the wishing star. 

“Yakko- a-are you sure we’re gonna-”

“We’re gonna make it Dot, I promise,” Yakko really didn’t want to deal with any kind of negativity at the moment. He had to focus. 

Just as he predicted, the guard had shot into the cliff, which was now causing massive amounts of snow and rock to start plummeting down the mountain, in a weird mix of “avalanche” and “rockslide”. 

“If we weren’t wishing for our parents back, I’d wish we had better luck,” Yakko muttered, trying to avoid falling rocks as the path widened once more. 

“Agreed,” Wakko said, holding onto Dot. That was good at least...

The impending doom as it became clearer that there was no way they were going to make it off the mountain without being knocked off their feet and losing the sled or worse was not. 

“Brace yourselves you two,” Yakko said, not knowing what advice he should give. He had never survived an avalanche- what did he expect?

Eventually, Yakko held onto his siblings too closing his eyes and bracing himself when he felt the sled get turned over and the three of them were tossed into the air. 

The three of them flew for what felt like too long, before hitting the snow with a  sharp thud which forced them to let go of each other. 

With all the strength Yakko had in him, he clawed and dug his way out of the snow, and was relieved that both of his sibs had at least gotten their hands to the top by the time he was all the way out. Quickly, Yakko got the rest of him out, and dug out his sibs, surprised to find they had already reached the plane. 

“There it is... the Wishing Star,” he said as he helped Wakko stand. 

“Wow...” Dot said in awe. Yakko looked back and saw that somehow their grandmother’s stupid carriage had survived.

“C’mon, we have no time to lose,” he said, taking his sibs hands and running for it. 

He was not going to lose to her. Not here, not now, not ever. 

He heard shouting from behind, likely Angelina losing her mind even more than she already had. He couldn’t care less- he was focused more on getting to the star than whatever She was saying. Dot however, kept turning her head. 

“Don’t look back Dot,” He ordered. Dot didn’t listen.

“I don’t care anymore- get the smaller one!” He heard, and Yakko panicked picked up the pace. However, Dot froze in her tracks, letting go of Yakko’s hand, looking back. 

“Wakko! Watch out!” She shouted, shoving him out of the way-

An ear-piercing gunshot rang through the plane, and Dot screamed in pain, before falling to the ground. 

“Dot!” Yakko screeched to a halt and ran back to her, while Wakko remained frozen on the ground in shock. 

The snow around her was already turning red. 

“Oh god- oh god oh god oh god-” was the only thing Yakko could say as he knelt onto the snow and examined his sister. 

“Y-y-yakko-” She said, shuddering in pain, which only made it worse. Yakko put her head on his knees and held her hand. 

He could hear arguing from behind. 

“It’s gonna be okay Dot- It’s gonna be okay,” he said, tears already filling his eyes and a tight lump formed in his throat. 

“I-it hurts Yakko,” she said, fear in her eyes. 

“I know Dot, b-but it’s gonna be okay,” Wakko managed to say, crawling over from where he was. Yakko looked up to try to see if he could see their grandmother, but he couldn’t. Yakko realized he didn’t care- he couldn’t care. Not right now. 

Dot shuddered in pain. “I-i wanna go home,” She said. 

“I know Dot, we’re gonna. We’re gonna get our wish and we’re gonna go home, okay? W-we’ll pick you up and carry you if we have to,” Yakko said shakily. 

“I-i’m scared,” she practically whispered. 

“Don’t be scared, I’m right here,” Yakko assured, giving her hand a squeeze. Dot cringed as her breathing got more unsteady. She turned her head away from her brothers. 

“M-mom? Dad?” She asked weakly. Yakko sniffled and wiped his eyes. 

“They aren’t here Dot- th-they-” 

Wakko tugged on his arm. Yakko looked up. 

His parents were there, running in the snow with all their might. 

“Th-they... they can’t...” Yakko couldn’t say anything. The siblings were dumbstruck. 

“Mommy! Daddy!!!” Dot was sobbing now too. 

“Dottie!!!” Their parents cried out in unison, picking up their pace until they reached them. 

“Y-you’re... y-you can’t...” Yakko couldn’t speak. Wakko practically lept into his mother’s arms sobbing, while William went and held Dot’s other hand. 

“It’s okay, Dot. W-we’re here pumpkin,” William said, placing a soft hand on her cheek. 

“Daddy, i-it really hurts,” she cried. 

“I-i know pumpkin,” William said, as he slowly picked her up. Yakko couldn’t move a muscle, dumbstruck and numb at the scene that laid before him. 

“It’s gonna be okay- alright? Everything is gonna be just fine,” he spoke so softly...

“I wanna go home. I wanna hear a story,” She said, gasping in pain. 

“We’ll go home real soon, okay pumpkin? We’ll go home and we’ll read you a bedtime story and tuck you in, alright?” He asked. Dot nodded even though the action clearly pained her. 

“I-i w-wanna go home,” she sobbed, closing her eyes intensely. 

“I know sweetie,” William hugged her closer, rubbing his face against hers. 

“Y-y-yakko,” Dot turned her head weakly. 

“Y-yeah? I-I’m here, Dot,” Yakko wiped his eyes, being forced back into the moment. William slowly set her back down again and he held her hand once more.

“Yakko, you’ll go home too, right?” She sniffled and smiled weakly. 

“O-of course. All of us- we’ll all be there, okay? We’re gonna get our wish and we’re gonna go home, okay?” Yakko asked, looking at his parents and Wakko. 

“O-okay,” she smiled a little more. “We-we’re gonna go home, a-and be together- a big happy family,” she said. 

“Y-yeah Dot. A big happy f-family,” Yakko stroked her face with his thumb, doing his best not to choke. 

“Together...” Dot said, before another wave of pain washed over her. 

“Yakko I don’t wanna die,” she looked at him. “I-i’m not ready to die.”

“Dot- no. Y-you can’t die-” Yakko pleaded with her. 

“Yakko I wanna go home,” She cried, squeezing his hand with all the weak might within her. 

“It’s gonna be okay, Dot. Y-you aren’t gonna die,” William said, but it was clear the light was already fading. 

“I-i l-l-love y-you...”

Her eyes became glossed over, and she went limp. 

No. 

No, no, no. 

William checked for a pulse. 

No. 

He checked for breathing. 

This can’t be- she couldn’t be-

Eventually, he just picked her up and broke down. 

Yakko couldn’t believe this. It wasn’t happening. It couldn’t be happening. 

Dot... 

Dot was dead. 

.o0o.

Dot was dead. 

Her baby girl was dead. 

Lena hadn’t said a word- why hadn't she said anything?!

She should’ve said something- anything, but now-

Oh god. 

She hugged Wakko tighter. 

She tried looking down at Dot, but she couldn’t-

God, there was so much blood. 

Instead, she looked away- out towards the mountains- where she saw-

No...

She wouldn’t-

She would. 

The next emotion Lena felt was rage. It consumed her, mixing in with her grief and anguish. She sprang to life, picking up William’s sword and running toward the Wishing Star, fueled by her anger and hatred.  

She ignored any pain felt in her legs, focusing only on stopping Her- she couldn’t reach the star. 

“Stop. Right. There,” She said, cutting off her mother from the star, pointing the sword at her mother. 

“Angelina,” The queen halted, even taking a step back. “Y-you’re supposed to be dead.”

“You’d know that, wouldn’t you?” Lena glared. “Your assassins failed. William and I survived.”

“Not without scars, I see,” Angelina looked her daughter up and down in disgust, regarding the massive scar on her shoulder. Lena glared. 

“I don’t care about that. You took everything from me- you killed Dot,” Lena was crying. 

“They were aiming for that abomination of a younger son,” Angelina rolled her eyes. “It’s not my fault that girl was foolish enough to jump in the way.”

“You do not get to speak of her or Wakko that way,” Lena stepped forward, the sword now inches away from the queen. She laughed. 

“You don’t have the guts,” She smiled. “You’re soft and weak. Never once have you ever fought back.” 

“Ever since I was born, you’ve hated me. You’ve exploited me, broken me, destroyed me. All of this I could’ve found within myself to forgive, but the moment you laid a hand on my children was the moment you signed your death certificate,” Lena stepped forward. 

“And yet you’ve never retaliated,” Angelina was still holding onto her pride. 

“You’ve taken everything from me,” Lena didn’t regard that comment. “I used to think there was hope- I was foolish, a child even. But now I know you’re nothing but a selfish monster. A monster who I will never let hurt me or my family ever again.”

“You foolish ingrate-”

“Goodbye, mother.” Lena said, before stepping back and stabbing the sword through her. 

Her mother’s body hit the snow, and she was dead without another word.

Good Riddance. 

Lena went back to her family.  

She gave Yakko a hug. 

“We can still fix this,” Lena said. Yakko sniffled, confused. Lena helped him up, Wakko too. 

“William,” She said softly. Her husband looked at her, and she gestured toward the star. He nodded, picking up Dot, and standing. 

Lena took in a deep breath, squeezing both of her boy’s hands before walking towards the Wishing Star. When they reached it, Wakko silently asked for her permission to touch it. Lena nodded, and Wakko reached forward, and the star shined brighter, a burst of light shooting through the sky. 

Wakko closed his eyes and made his wish. 

The star’s glow increase, as it expanded, sending a refreshingly warm breeze through the air until it disappeared completely, leaving only grass behind from where the star had melted the snow. Everyone held their breath. 

“D-dad..? M-mom? What..?” Dot opened her eyes.

“Dot,” Lena smiled, tears of relief and joy now flowing. 

Quickly, everyone wrapped Dot into a big, sobbing, relieving, and loving group hug.

Dot was alive, and everything was okay.

Romy Prompt #1

Fair & Square

               It’s still strange to kiss without being scared, without the crazy avalanche of memories.

               Hell, it’s just strange to be kissing at all.

               Especially now, here, with him.

               Don’t get me wrong – it isn’t like this is the first time we’ve kissed, or even the second or third… or maybe even the tenth, if I think about it.

               What’s strange is the both of us being absolutely powerless; and what’s even stranger is that only a couple of days ago I’d dragged him away from the pearly gates of heaven itself, and I could’a sworn ever since then he’s been angry with me.

               Nah – angry don’t even cut it. He’s been worse than angry – distant, stand-offish.

               I’d stolen his redemption from him, and now he’s powerless and vulnerable in a way he’s never been before. I know it don’t sit well with him – hell, it don’t sit well with me – but I did it because I love the man, and I don’t regret it for a moment.

               I have no idea what he’s been through, but the hell we shared with Vargas made me sure of one thing – I ain’t done with him, and I’m gonna fight tooth and nail to keep him till my dying breath. I want more, and for once, I ain’t afraid to tell him so.

               I want a lifetime, I’d said to him.

               I’d asked him for everything.

               And he hadn’t said no.

               He ain’t given an unequivocal ‘yes’ neither, but I’ll take what I can get from Remy LeBeau.

               Our kiss is over all too soon, and I don’t dare to press for more – I feel like I may be pushing for luck. For a moment we sway together in time to the band, neither of us saying a thing. It ain’t too often we get moments, let alone kisses, like these – the best we can do is savour it.

               “You wanna go back?” I finally ask him. “Join the others?”

               His swaying slows slightly.

               “Do you wanna?” he asks me instead. I barely need to think about my answer.

               “No,” I reply simply. “Not if you don’t wanna.” I raise my head and look at him, feeling the need to finally speak the unspoken.

               “Listen – sugar. I know what I took away from you, Remy. But I want ya to know I did what I did ‘cos I love ya. ‘Cos I ain’t ready to lose ya. And—”

               “Shh.” He places a forefinger against my lips, silencing me – the texture of his skin on mine still so wonderfully alien. “I know why you did it, Rogue,” he says. “You don’t need t’explain.”

               “Don’t I?” I say, doubtful.

               “Non.” His thumb caresses my lips softly. “I ain’t angry at you, chere. I may’ve been, a li’l bit. At first. Not anymore.”

               I slowly release a pent-up breath. Till this moment, it ain’t hit me how much I’ve needed him to give me that reassurance.

               “You sure?”

               “I’m sure.”

               Silence follows, interrupted by the sudden swell of laughter from the nearby party. He starts swaying again and I follow, our arms around one another.

               “You wanna head somewhere more private?” he asks, resting his chin in my hair.

               I lean back, press my hips against his, and quirk him a smirk.

               “Private, huh? Private as in what exactly, sugar?”

               He cocks a lazy smile.

               “Well, you got the best room in the house, cherie. Mind if I take a li’l peek?”

               I roll my eyes. When we’d first got here, in this incredible house Destiny had secretly bequeathed to me, right in the Garden Quarter of the Big Easy – Remy had been in terrible shape. He’d gotten his own room, and his own carer, in the person of our old friend, Beast – and, under doctor’s orders, I’d been careful not to ‘excite’ him. His brooding had made sure that wasn’t a problem.  The past few days he’s been up and about, almost like normal – as normal as he can be, after nearly losing his life – and while there have been touches and kisses, he’s still been holding something back. Which is why I’m kind surprised he’s choosing now to be flirty.

               “Remy LeBeau,” I scold him sarcastically, “you passed out on my bed last night – don’t pretend you ain’t seen inside my room!”

               “That was on top of your covers,” he drawls, “I was thinkin’ more inside o’them.”

               I slap his cheek playfully.

               “Are ya even sure ya even got the strength to go messin’ around, Cajun? I thought doctor’s orders were not to get over excited!”

               “Doc just gave me a clean bill o’ health,” he grins too smugly for my liking. “As good as I ever was, Hank says. Superb shape. So I think that’s permission for some ‘excitement’, neh?”

               Well, knock me down a feather! Seems like the boy might be recovered after all!

               And I can’t say I ain’t been anxious to try things out between us without anything but skin in the way… …

               “All right, sugar,” I say, half turning and drawing his arm firmly round my waist. “Lemme give ya that ‘sneak peek’ you’ve been waitin’ for.”

               I lead him up through gorgeously furnished and decorated corridors to my room.

               I’m on tenterhooks for this, like some kid in a candy shop.

               I love him, and he loves me – he told me so, at the gates of heaven no less. Doesn’t matter if we’re still too dumbfuck, even at this point, to translate that into anything more than ‘taking things day by day’ and ‘seeing where it leads’.

               Hey, you know what really sucks? I ain’t never had this boy fair and square. First time was in some godforsaken cave in the middle of Antarctica, fearing that either one or both of us would die the next day. And the second time was when his powers were at maximum control thanks to Sinny, and the static charges any contact created between us was, while fun while it lasted, hardly conducive to no-holds-barred fucking.

               I want him on my own terms.

               I’m about to.

               I can hardly contain myself, I’m so excited. Nervous too, but… …

               We’re kissing as we enter the bedroom; he kicks the door shut behind us, and we’re already undressing each other as he backs me up towards the dresser with this dominating masculinity that in normal circumstances would have me pushing back just by instinct, but right now is the sexiest damn thing he could be doing.

               As soon as my ass hits the dresser he hoists me up onto it, wedging up in the space between my legs as his mouth leaves mine and blazes an angry trail down my neck. I’m on horrible, all-consuming fire, a familiar hot wetness blooming up inside me. I fumble between us for his flies, and my fingers are shaking with impatience as I finally unzip him free… and suddenly, he’s in my hand.

               He moans.

               Lord, but you do not know what the sound of that does to me.

               Then he cusses through his teeth, backs away slightly, hooks my legs at the knees and lifts them. My feet slam noisily onto the dresser. I’m wide open to him, and he grabs at the waistline of my pants and underwear, yanking them roughly down past my ass and thighs, and I wriggle to accommodate him, eager to shake off my clothing.

               He’s impatient, animal almost, intimidating in a way that thrills me. I feel… weird, but not in an unpleasant way. This ain’t the first time we’ve done this, and it’s a long time since I’ve been a virgin, thanks to him. We’ve messed around as much as we’ve been able with my toxic skin, which has been… an education. But the power differential has always been lurking there between us. He knows I could kick his skinny Cajun ass into the middle of next week if I wanted to, and I’ve always wondered what it felt like for a man like him to acknowledge that his woman could physically beat him into a pulp if he tried anything funny.

               Hell, maybe it turns him on – maybe I should ask him.

               Not that it matters anymore. Now I’m just like any woman, and the weirdness I feel is from the thread of vulnerability not having my powers anymore gives me. It isn’t like the first time. The first time he was patient, tender, loving. Now he’s… something else.

               My pants are off.

               He reaches into the back pocket of his jeans and suddenly he’s slapping a condom into my hand.

               Gotta love this Cajun – he always comes prepared.

               This is something we’ve practiced scores of times before, and between him shucking off his pants and my quivering desire, I somehow get it on him. Ha – don’t have to worry about skin on skin contact this time round – he always swore the long drawn-out, uber-careful methods I’d had to take before were hot as fuck, but slow is not what we’re aiming for right now, not by any stretch of the imagination. We’re both as rabid as a couple of rabbits on heat, and as soon as he’s suited up, he grabs my ass, scoots me forward to the edge of the dresser and—

               He’s surging up inside me so hard and fast I’m crying out into his shoulder.

               Damn.

               My body is suddenly reminding me that I don’t have invulnerability anymore.

               He freezes right up there inside me, says shakily, breathlessly into my hair: “S-sorry.”

               I breathe in deep, sucking up the scent, the taste of his skin. The stars behind my eyes start to fade a bit.

               “I-I’m okay,” I whisper back hoarsely – my mouth is dry.

               He backs up a bit, kisses my forehead softly, looks into my eyes.

               “Don’t wanna hurt ya…” he says, and I grab his face, saying:

               “I’m fine. Don’t stop.”

               I pull his face down into another kiss.

               And neither of us stops, for a little while at least.

               We’re lying side by side, listening to the sounds of the party outside.

               My body is still a tingling fuzz of pleasure, swimming lazily in and out of the haze of exhaustion.

               “They’re probably wondering where we are,” I murmur aloud. Beside me, Remy chuckles softly.

               “No, chere. They ain’t.”

               I huff a lose strand of hair out of my face. No, they probably ain’t.

               “Speakin’ of the others,” I say after a moment. “What did ya think of Jean’s pitch about headin’ back to the mansion?”

               “Sounded good,” he answers drily, “but that pitch wasn’t aimed at me. It was aimed at you folks. And y’all know I ain’t part of your ‘X-Treme X-Men’ outfit.” He pauses, adds under his breath, “which is the dumbest team name of all time, by the way.”

               “Oh, quit bein’ a baby,” I nudge in the ribs with an elbow – I ain’t strong enough to even elicit an oof from him these days. “Ya know you’re one of us! And you know as well as I do that Jean was includin’ you in her invitation!”

               “I dunno,” he shrugs, staring at the ceiling. “I was havin’ fun wonderin’ round thievin’. Just like the ol’ days. Shame that Vargas fella had to come along and ruin it all.”

               He sighs, and I can read the unspoken easily – he’s missing his powers. I sure as hell ain’t.

               “Remy,” I roll onto my side and lean my head into my hand, “if you wanna talk about what happened with Vargas, I—”

               His eyes flash to mine and he silences me.

It was far different from his experience with the ghost catcher, with each half seeming almost like a whole in their own right as opposed to the exaggerated fragments of personality the ghost catcher had created.

“Why do you look different to how I, we look as a ghost?” Danny asked.

Phantom glanced at him confused, before shrugging for the second time in their conversation. “Maybe our human half balances it out. Why? How do I look?”

Danny hesitated, then said, “ghostly.”

“Wow, how profound,” deadpanned Phantom. “Do I have all our brain cells?”

“Hey! Let's be honest, there's hardly any brain cells between us.”

“Harsh, but okay.”

“You kinda have fangs, and you're really pale, like green pale,” Fenton finally explained.

That was something that Danny would sooner eat Dash's underpants again than talk about, but the lingering fear even after the largely useless reassurance convinced both halves that it would be for the best.

Fenton scrambled to change the topic from him. “Y’know, you look like an elf.”

Phantom accepted the change in tone gratefully. “Oh God, not like Vlad and…”

Great, they were back on him. “Wait, he's an elf?” Phantom snorted.

The two sat and watched the sky, stars travelling across the sky as the hours went by. Portals and wisps of ectoplasm, the exact same colour as Phantom’s, and that of the portal and the zone itself, glowed, stronger and brighter, just as much a part of Danny’s internal world as anything else.

And as time continued, the sky seemed to brighten, almost insignificantly at first, gaining an orange hue to it, the stars somehow remaining despite this. The views of the duo became closer, until virtually indistinguishable from each other as the sun breached the edge of the ceiling. The sun became a lamplight as Danny came to his senses, blinking the shining spots out of his eyes.

“Danny! You’re awake!” Jazz cried, hurling herself at him in a hug before yelling for her parents to come.

From this time on, Barf and Belch nearly never left the side of the Hooligan and the Nightfury. This lead to some smaller and bigger problems. And that Hiccup knocked his cousin Snotlout down and three teeth out.

 After this whole freaked day, Hiccup needed some time alone. He told even Toothless not to accompany him as he went for a stroll into the woods. But Barf and Belch did followed him secretly never forgetting about their duty. Suddenly a sack was thrown over Hiccups head, then he was thrown over a broad shoulder and carried away. Hiccup thought again it was one of the twins stupid plans to win their Zipper back.

“Okay, this is the worst plan you have ever come up with it!” he said angry.

The Sack was suddenly removed and Hiccup noticed, that he was on a hunters ship. With Dagur, his Berserkers, some Hunters-and worst of all-Ryker.

“Time to leave!” Dagur said with a low voice and got Hiccup a light shove on his back. “Take your Zipper and turn tail! But first-order them to knock me down.”

“Barf! Belch! Be careful with Dagur! Try not to hit him too hard!” Hiccup whispered to the Zipper.

Barfs head collided with Dagurs skull and send him on the planks.

“Good! Now lets go!” the Berserker groaned and held his throbbing head.

Dagur grinned, when he saw the boy mounting the Zipper and head for the sky.

The remaining hunters tried to hit the dragon with their arrows, but missed him.

“Good, he escaped.” the Berserker murmured and slowly pulled himself to a standing position again.

 But some moments later screams and roars were heard in the distance. He then saw Toothless, who was carrying the twins collide with the Zipper and all began to fall towards the sea.

“These idiotic twins!” he cursed quietly. But he was relived when he saw Hiccup getting on Toothless´ back and brought him back into the sky before they hit the water.

“I will never understand how he is doing this.” Dagur thought.

A loud splash caught his attention followed by two smaller ones.

“The Zipper! We got him!” one of his men shouted. “Haul him in before he drowns!”

“And again these Troublemakers!” Dagur sighed.

 The twins were able to free their dragon from the net and a few moments later they emerged from the water, the Dragon and his rider pair reunited again. The twins looked down at the crewmen on the deck below them.

“What had Hiccup said? Be careful with Dagurs men? And teach the hunters a lesson?” Tuffnut asked.

“I see only Berserkers.” Ruffnut said. “And they are only playing the bad guys.-By Thor! That’s so complicated!”

“Get off!” one of Dagurs men hissed and made a furtive move to shoo the twins and the dragon away, while Rykers men readied their weapons.

 Hiccup could see that one of the Beserkers even let it be as if he tripped over and jostled a hunter from firing his bow. The arrow nearly hit Ryker, who still tried to free himself from the rope. But he had lost his blade when he was pulled upwards and tried to get the rope with his hand to untie the knot.

“Thanks, Yorick.” Hiccup murmured, as he recognized the man. Then he turned to the other riders.

“Okay! Lets get these Hunters away from Dragons edge!- Destroy the catapults!” Hiccup ordered. “Toothless! Guys! Try not to hit Dagurs men! They are some among them who helped us when we were on Dagurs ship.”

Moments later all heavy weapons were under hard fire and blown into pieces, Berserkers and Hunters scrambled for cover.

“Sorry, guys.” Hiccup said, when he spotted some familiar faces between Dagurs men. As answer the men lifted their hands with the thumbs-up sign, to show him, that’s no problem and they had stayed unharmed.

“But for Ryker and his hunters-use your full force!” the Hooligan growled.

Some of the flames of the dragon fire had hit the rope that still held Ryker up the mast and burned it. When it ripped, Ryker was hitting the deck again. And all he saw was chaos and destruction.

“Curse you, dragon riders!” he growled and searched for his lost sword.

 “Bring us out of here!” Dagur roared. He did not know that the top of his hair was on fire.

Suddenly a part of a plank fell on his head.

“OW!” he cursed, looking upwards. “Oh no…”

Suddenly the entire yard with the sail of the second mast came crashing down, a spark of the massive dragon fire had flown over and burned the ropes who held it.

And to Dagurs bad luck one end of the burning mast yard fell on his head and body and knocked him down.

Luckily Hiccup witnessed it.

“Oh no! Dagur!-Guys, I must go back, don’t wait for me!” he shouted and turned Toothless.

“What in Thors name has gotten into him?” Astrid wondered.

“Don’t worry! We keep an eye on him! Barf! Belch! Come on!” Tuffnut said.

The zipper turned with the twins and followed their leader back to the burning ship.

When they landed they could spot Hiccup through the flames and smoke trying to move away a big part of the fallen yard together with Toothless.

“Hiccup!” Tuffnut called.

“Come here and help me!” Hiccup said.

Through the thick smoke they were not seen as the twins and the zipper hurried to Hiccup. The rest of the crew who was not knocked out or injured helped to extinguish the fires, who are burning on several parts of the deck and railing. So no one noticed the riders on the heck of the ship.

“Pull the wooden beams off him! Quick!” Hiccup ordered and tried to extinguish the fire that caught Dagurs Hair. The two Zipper heads grabbed the wooden debris and lifted it away from the unconscious berserker, Toothless helped his rider to pull Dagur .out of the wooden debris and rugged sail. Then he leaned the unconscious man at the railing.

“Good. I hope you are not too much hurt, Dagur. I will not that you get more scars on you. You already have enough.” he murmured. “Okay, Ruff, Tuff, let´s go!”

Unnoticed they got away from the ship.

“What have you done down there?” Fishlegs asked.

“Looking if Dagur was okay. He was buried under the burning yard that came crashing down! I could not let him stay there.” answered Hiccup.

“You are right. You owe him a lot.” Immerman nodded.

“Yeah. And I pay my debts back.”

“Like we Jorgenson do.” Snotlout added.

“Uh-Snotlout…” Hiccup began.

“Yes, cous´?”

“I am sorry for knocking your teeth out. If I had only knew that it was one of the twins stupid plans… and I did not realize that you are only playing…even after you said to play along…I had not much sleep that night and was grumpy.”

“Its okay. I still have enough left to eat my daily needs of yak and mutton meat. – But you have a good strike, little one.” Snotlout smiled.

“Well…Dagur trained a bit with me.-And it seems the Barf and Belch and the twins are reunited again. What a luck!” Hiccup sighed.

 Later that night, out on the sea, when all the fires where nearly extinguished…

“How dare you to hit me!” Ryker roared at Dagur.

“Because it was not necessary to be so rude to the boy! He is mine and I will deal with him! It´s something personal! And I don’t want you to interfere!” the Berserker shot back.

“Hmph! We will see what Viggo says about this!”

“I am eager to finally meet this “Viggo” of you.”

“You will. Soon you will.” Ryker nodded.

 The next morning, after a good sleep, Hiccup left his hut and everything seemed returned back to normal or at least as normal as it gets on Dragons Edge.

“So, it looks like the old life -debt has been repaid.” Astrid said.

“Yeah, thanks Thor!” Hiccup sighed.

“Barf and Belch saved me from the Dragon hunters and Ruff and Tuff saved their dragon from drowning. So everything is back to normal.”

But Hiccup better should not have said the last sentence aloud, then suddenly Snotlout came running with a wild scream and charged straight towards his cousin! Then he tackled him into the ground and placed him in an armlock.

“Oh no! I was overjoyed too soon! Will someone tell this lunatic it´s over?” Hiccup cried. “Snotlout, what the hel has gotten into you?”

“Revenge is sweet.” the Jorgenson only grinned.

Two days later Dagur returned on Shattermaster to Dragons edge. Hiccup was happy to see him mostly unharmed and they went to their secluded hut to spend the night together.

Dagur started to laugh heartily, when Hiccup told him about Snotlout and that he knocked him three teeth out.

“And the next morning he jumped on me and held me down! I was pinned and couldn’t move! And Astrid simply stood there and watched us! When I begged her for help she only answered: That’s yours and Snotlouts problem. Deal with it together. And then she walked away! Can you belive it!? Finally after fifteen minutes, this idiot let me finally go. He did this often when we were kids.”

“Serves you both right.” Dagur grinned. “By Thor, this was a crazy adventure! So I must be careful if saving a Zipper, otherwise they would stay glued to me the rest of their lives! And Shattermaster would not like this very much.”

Hiccup nodded.

“Anyway… you nearly blow your cover when you attacked Ryker.”

“He wanted to rip your hair out! I know how painful this is.” Dagur growled.

“Did Alwin…?”

“No. But some other prisoners. But they regret doing it.”

“Your men…are they okay?”

“Don’t worry. They did the best to cause a bit trouble so that Rykies men had not a easy way to shoot on you and your friends. Big Baldy was very angry for the so called “clumsiness” of my men, but he never held big pieces on us.”

“How could you get away from the hunter ship?”

“Well, Ryker did not mind where I am disappearing. I told him I went for Shattermaster, who I left on an island, not far away. Heather brought me there on Windshear, when we met with another hunter ship, when all the fires were extinguished and the mostly repairs done.”

“Ugh, you still smell of smoke and burned hair.”

“Yeah, I got knocked out by some of fallen burning wood. But someone moved it away.”

“That was Barf and Belch. I saw you lying under the burning debris and don’t want to get your left hair burned.”

“So you saved me again.”

“You have lost already enough of your hair. I don’t want you to get as bald as Ryker. What do you think about a night swim in our cove to get yourself rid of this smoky stench? The weather is warm and we have a nice clear night.”

“Agreed. Lets go.” Dagur nodded and picked Hiccup up.

“Hey! I can walk myself!” the Hooligan protested.

“But I love to carry you around, my little one.”

“Toothless, Shattermaster, you stay here and rest. We are taking a walk to the cove.” Hiccup said. When the Nightfury warbled worriedly, the boy calmed him:” Don’t worry. Dagur is with me. And Ryker is away to lick his wounds. I doubt he will return so quick.”

“Yeah. When I left him, his ships headed south.”

 And so, a bit later at the cove.

Hiccup sat on a stone and put his pants to the pile of discarded clothes. Dagur was already in the water.

“Come, little one! Jump, I will catch you!” he said and held his arms open. Hiccups face showed unsureness, he still clearly remembered the day back on Berk when he was nine and Dagur nearly drowned him. They talked about it during their first encounter, but the fear was still in Hiccups mind.

“Come! The water is great! A bit chilly, but you will quick get used to it.” Dagur called. When Hiccup still hestitated, and embraced himself with his arms, Dagur got beside the rock and looked at him.

“Are you still frightened I can drown you again? Awww…come on! We two are grown men now and I promised already I will never try to submerge you. So come, little fishbone.” Dagur cooed and held again out his arms.

So the Hooligan took a grip to himself and jumped directly in Dagurs arms. He shivered when he submerged into shoulder-deep water, but the Berserker quickly pulled him over the surface again.

“Well done, little one!” he beamed.

Hiccup wrapped his legs around the hips of the bigger male and put his hands on the broad shoulders.

“See? There is nothing to fear anymore.”

Now Hiccup smiled too and they put their foreheads together.

“Lets see who is faster! To that rock?”

“Um-okay.”

“Then lets go!”

For the next minutes only splashes, soft laughter and giggles were heard in the cove.

“Oh! The fog is rising.” Hiccup said when it began to dawn.

“That’s good. So no one can see us.”

Suddenly they heard something through the foggy clouds.

“Someone is approaching the beach!” Hiccup whispered.

“I hear it. Lets better hide behind the rocks.”

 The two were Fishlegs and Meatlug who took an early stroll to along the beach.

“Its only Fish and Meatlug.” Hiccup sighed, when he heard the voice of his friend and the warble of the Gronkle. But a few moments later they heard the cackling laughter of the twins and their “LOKI´D!” who pearled over the quiet cove.

“Oh no. They again are celebrating their Loki-Day! Every year the same nonsense!” Hiccup groaned.

“But you said none of your Guys would come here so early!” Dagur hissed.

“Uh, yes, I thought so.” Hiccup whispered back. He clinged to the Berserkers shoulders as the both treaded silently water. Some moments later they heard the twins fly away on the Zipper and Fishlegs angry grumbling.

“Lets get out! I am freezing!” Hiccup hissed and tried not to clatter with his teeth. But suddenly a deep roaring voice startled them. And it came not from the beach, it came from the entrance of the cove.

“What was that?” Fishlegs and Dagur said at the same time. Then they turned their heads at the splashing sound and their eyes went wide.

Then everything happened very fast. A dark shadow shot out of the fog, but submerged before it could reach the two in the water. But in the next moment a electrical discharge hit Hiccup and Dagur!

Three anguished screams echoed together through the cove.

 Later Fishlegs told Astrid, Snotlout and the Twins about his discovery.

“It had two heads, maybe three! And it made this weird sound, like nothing I had ever heard before!” he explained. “It was like…-“He then roared and made a buzzing sound.

“Oh my Thor, that’s incredible, Fishlegs.” said Snotlout.

“I know, right?”

“Wrong! Not getting me at Loki Day!” Jorgenson snapped.

“He is not loki-ing you, Snotlout. He spoke the truth.” a voice spoke from the entrance of the clubhouse. Hiccup entered it, his hair standing up on all ends. Toothless, who followed him, let out a worried warble. Everything gasped.

“Hey! Who loki´d you, Hiccup? Dagurs little skrill? You look like you got a good electroluting!” Tuffnut grinned.

“I was electroluted-but not by a Skrill! I had taken a little swim in the cove and suddenly something hit me!”

“So this was your scream I belived to hear?” Fishlegs answerd.

“Yes. You are right, Fish. There is really something in our cove. And we will discover it.”

 After the mysterious electric attack, Hiccup and Dagur had fled the water and the Berserker had carried the half -stunned younger male back to their secret hut. Then they send Shattermaster to pick up the left clothes of them. On their flight they diddnt even had time to collect them.

“Little brother, are you okay?”

“Uhh…my head…what the hel had hit us?”

“Don’t know. It looked like a Skrill attack, but it came from the water!”

“I saw it too.”

“Wow, your hair is standing up in all directions.” Dagur grinned. “A bit like mine.”

“I must warn my friends! What ever hit us, it could be dangerous.”

 Fishlegs returned after this to the cove and discovered the mysterious attacker as a seashocker dragon. He quickly closed the entrance with Meatlugs molten Lava spew and trapped the sea dragon in the cove. Then he went calling for the others.

 When they went all to take a look at the dragon, the seashocker suddenly attacked the hovering dragons and got one of Stormflys Spikes in his side, when she counterattacked.

Fishlegs hurried to help the poor creature and began to feel bad for trapping the Sea Dragon in the cove.

While he pulled the Nadder spike out and tried to calm the Seashocker, Hiccup and the others opened the entrance to the cove again. But when Fishlegs guided the dragon to the exit, he stopped in front of it and don’t wanted to swim further.

The reason why Hiccup and the others found out shortly after. Two Scauldrons were heading in the direction of the Seashocker and began to hunt him in the cove. Fishlegs and the others did their best to protect the Seashocker from not being eaten by the bigger water dragons.

“Scauldrons are Seashocker´s natural predators!” Fishlegs said in horror. “Oh Meatlug, what have we done? Against two of them a single Seashocker has no chance!”

“Not when I can do something about it!” Dagur shouted. ”Come on, bud!”

When he saw one of the Scauldron flying out of the water, he flew by and knocked the head of the Scauldron away.

“Leave him, you beast! Search for someone´s your size!” he bellowed. The brown scauldron landed back into the water and roared. Dagur and Shattermaster roared back.

“We don’t fear you!”

“Dagur! Watch out for the hot water burst of them!” Hiccup shouted when he saw the Scauldron blowing up his throat sack, preparing a hot water attack. But a plasma blast of Toothless knocked the head to the side and the hot water spew flew to the side and out of his range.

“Thanks, little brother!” Dagur smiled. Hiccup glided past him and gave him a thumb up.

“The Seashocker is making a break for the opening!” said Fishlegs. The riders watched, as he got closer and closer, but then he sent an electric pulse for orienting, and the Scauldrons picked it up right away, and rushed after the smaller water dragon.

“There they are again! He is not gonna make it, if we don’t intervene!” Astrid said.

“We lay down cover fire! Astrid, Dagur, cut them off!” Hiccup said. Astrid circled in position, but suddenly Stormfly came to a sudden halt and shrieked when the twins flew in her way from behind the rock wall.

“LOKI´D!” they cried, waving their arms, which startled the Nadder more.

“Are you nuts? We don’t need your Loki-ing around right now!” Fishlegs scolded.

“But Astrid is the Crown jewel. To be able to successfully loki´d her, is something special.” Tuffnut said.

Dagur in the background grinned. Then he patted Shattermaster on the side and the Gronkle hovered under the belly of the zipper. The two-headed dragon did not notice-till he got a good bump on his belly from Shattermasters mace tail who hovered under him. Barf and Belch roared in surprise and buckled. The twins where thrown out of their saddles and went down with a splash into the cove.

Dagur cackled and cried:” Loki´d!”

“Hey, nice trick, Dagur!” Snotlout grinned.

Hiccup and Fishlegs only groaned.

A moment later the twins came flying out of the water caused by a hit of the seashocker and the snapping head of one of the Scauldrons and were caught on their collars by Barf and Belch.

“Okay, you got us, Dagur.” Tuffnut sighed.

“I think, I start to like him.” Astrid said to Hiccup with a light smile. Then her face went stern and she turned to the twins.

“We will talk about this later.” she said with venom in her voice.

The twins only laughed mischievously.

“Hiccup, would you please tell them that now it´s absolutely not the time for their Loki pranks?” Fishlegs said crossly.

Then Hiccup got an idea. ���Fishlegs, I actually think a Loki´d might be the key to saving the Seashocker.”

“What? How?” Immerman asked.

“Yeah, Hiccup knew it!” Tuffnut yelled.

“I wouln´d get too excited if I were you.” Hiccup smirked.

“Why?”

 Tuffnut soon got his answer. Hiccup had ordered the twins to fly towards the open sea and it felt more like a punishment than an assignment.

“Those guys don’t understand the real meaning of Loki day.” Tuffnut grumbled.

“Come, just get these things done and out of here.” Ruffnut said and looked at the bucket of fish she was holding. “EW! This bait is nasty!”

“No, its pungent.”

“Okay, then this pungent is nasty. Hiccup said just to use a pinch.” Ruffnut said and pulled at fish out of the bucket.

“Screw that! This way its better!” her brother said and kicked the bucket and all the fish poured into the sea.

“Loki´d! Yeah!” Tuffnut laughed.

“Good one! But now-eh, what is that?”

Ruffnut stopped talking when they heard movement in the water. Then they saw something large heading toward them.

“We should have better done like Hiccup advised us!” Tuffnut screamed.

 Meanwhile the Seashocker was still trying to get away from the Scauldrons, but with very little success. The Riders tried to fly down to help, but one of the Scauldrons began to blast hot water at them, making them not able to get nearer.

Astrid then saw the second one making its move toward the Seashocker.

“They are underwater! I cant get a clear shot!” she said.

“Me neither!” answered Dagur.

“They are in a feeding frenzy.” said Hiccup. “Too dangerous to get any closer! They think we want to steal their prey.”

The Seashocker was soon cornered by the two Scauldrons, but he found a way to escape into an underwater cavern, with the two followers hard on his fins.

“What happened? Where did he go?” Fishlegs asked. They looked at the bubbles on the water surface and Dagur looked at Hiccup.

“Had they caught him?” the Berserker asked.

“Please no!” Fishlegs whimpered.

“We cant see him anymore. We tried everything. I am sorry, Fishlegs.” Astrid said.

“Me too. I guess we should head back.” said Hiccup.

“No! I am not leaving! Not yet.” Fishlegs said firmly and stayed where he was. “This is my fault and somehow, someway he is still alive, then its my responsibility to get him back to his swarm.”

“I stay with you! The way he moved, how he dodged and averted the Scauldrons-this one is a real fighter! And I know of what I am speaking!” Dagur said and balled his right fist.

 Then out of nowhere the Seashocker jumped out of the water and soared over Fishlegs head before he splashed back into the water.

“Yeah! He lives!” Fishlegs cheered.

“Knew it!” Dagur shouted and threw his fist in the air.

“And the Scauldrons are still after him!” Snotlout yelled, when one of them jumped out of the water. But in this moment the twins returned pulling something with them, what was in the water.

“Incoming! Yeah!” Tuffnut yelled. The Scauldrons were distracted and then noticed something sending electrical pulses through the water. They dived for it-but it was an electric eel. A really big electric eel. The water dragons began to panic when they saw what was heading in their direction.

“A giant zapping eel!” Snotlout shrieked. He hated this slimy sea-worms.

Hiccup turned to the twins. “I am pretty sure I said a few small eels.”

“On Loki day you go big or you go home!” Tuffnut answered.

“Hey, its working! The zapping eel is confusing the Scauldrons!” said Fishlegs.

“You knew that you could Loki´d Scauldrons too?” Ruffnut grinned. “This is the proof!”

“Lets Loki´em even more!” said Hiccup.

“Yeah, come on, bud!” said Dagur.

“Go, Meatlug!” Fishlegs yelled.

The three of them flew down towards the water and began blasting at the scauldrons. Fishlegs kept his eyes out for the Seashocker and saw that it was making a break for the coves mouth.

 “This is our chance!” Fishlegs said and followed the dragon as they got close towards the coves opening. ”Come on, just a little further. We are almost there. My friends are taking care of this two Rowdys, who hunted you so long.”

Then they flew past the coves mouth and Fishlegs cheered. “We did it, Hiccup! We saved him!”

 Hiccup then noticed something in the open water coming straight towards them.

“More Scauldrons! The double electrical pulses must have lured them here! -Did you see why I said, a few small eels?” Hiccup cursed.

Dagur, who was with Shattermaster at the nearest to Fishlegs, turned around and saw two more Scauldrons heading for the Seashocker.

“Oh no! Not this way, you cheater-dragons!” the Berserker growled. “Bud-go!”

Shattermaster flew past the coves mouth and Fishlegs.

“What are you planning?” Immerman asked.

“Save the tail of our fishy little dragon. This gonna maybe hurt a bit.” Dagur said as he stood up on Shattermasters back.

Hiccup realized what he was planning to do. “Dagur! No!”

But it was too late, the Berserker dived into the water and landed right on top of the Seashockers back. He had witnessed too what the two headed sea dragon was capable of but he needed a bit help, because he was still not able to use it properly.

Just as the two newly arrived Scauldrons and the others from the cove charged all at once at them, Dagur grabbed the two heads of the Seashocker and slammed them together!

This caused a massive electric pulse across the ocean and Dagur screamed in pain as electricity surged through his body. It was like that day, when he was fully hit by the electric outcharges of the Skrill three years ago. The Scauldrons were unable to stop, slammed right into the pulse and got electrified too. The shockwave of the pulse threw Dagur out of the water and he made a hard landing on the beach. The other riders landed near him.

“Dagur, are you all right?” Hiccup asked running towars his fallen friend. Shattermaster warbled worriedly and licked his rider.

“Okay….I am okay, bud. A little bit shaken, but I am used to this. “ Dagur groaned and pulled himself in a sitting position. Hiccup nodded knowingly.

“That shockwave must have blown him twenty yards! New record!” Tuffnut said impressively.

“That was one of the gutsiest moves I have ever seen, Dagur. Life-threatening, but gutsiest.” Astrid appreciated.

“Aye, could not allow that one of you kids pulled this stunt.” the Berserker grinned, as they helped him to his feet.  Then they looked into the lagoon as the Seashocker jumped into the air.

“Looks like he wants to say “Thank you.” Fishlegs smiled. “And I thank you too Dagur.”

 Meanwhile the zapped Scauldrons have recovered too, but when they looked again for their prey, it had gotten reinforcements. Now four Seaschockers were floating before them, their heads sparkling angrily. Now even the fierce water-blowers gave up and turned tail into the open ocean.

“You see that? His fellows had arrived!” Fishlegs said happily.

“Fascinating! The searched for him!” Hiccup said. The Seashockers approached one another and it seemed that they were happy to together again.

“Look at that, Fishlegs.” said Astrid proudly. You did it. You won.”

When Dagur cleared his throat, Astrid turned and said: ”Yeah, you too, Dagur. You want an extra medal for your action?”

“Heh, no, that’s not necessary. I just want to say: we all did it.” the Berserker answered and smiled.

“Yeah.” Hiccup nodded.

They watched as the Seashocker jumped out of the water, his scales shining in the sunset as he headed towards the open sea with his friends.

“I love a happy ending!” Tuffnut smiling at the sight.

 Later that evening the Twins were wandering through Dragons Edge, heading straight towards Hiccups hut.

“Finally we are getting the respect we deserve.” said Tuffnut.

“Yeah, you think I am underdressed?” Ruffnut asked, looking over her clothes. “I could have put my browner tunic on.”

They lifted the door to Hiccups hut and Tuffnut stepped forward proudly, announcing themselves: ”Your Vikings of the year have arrr-AAAH!”

Suddenly a cloister of fish landed right on top of them and Hiccup, Toothless, Dagur and Shattermaster appeared.

“Loki´d!” Hiccup and Dagur laughed. The Twins just stared at the two while Shattermaster turned around and lifted his mace tail.

“This Gronkle is aiming at us!-Run!” shrieked Ruffnut and she and her brother rushed out of the hut just as Shattermaster let out a big fart!

“Bad dragon!” Tuffnut yelled. They turned around a corner then they saw several bear traps in front of them. Unfortunately, they had no choice but to move on, because Shattermaster was coming after them. They quickly rushed to the next ladder that leads down to the other huts but they were moving so fast that they collided with one another and Tuffnut fell down to the next floor. Ruffnut wanted to follow and placed a foot on the ladder, but it broke apart and she landed on top of her Brother. Fishlegs appeared smiling mischievously at them.

“Loki´d!” he laughed.

The Twins scrambled to their feet and headed straight for their hut, but as they ran across the platform, several explosions happened. When the smoke had cleared the two were covered in a mix of ash and coughing out smoke.

“Loki´d!” Snotlout laughed, sitting on Hookfangs neck who appeared behind their hut.

“They used our pranks against us!” Ruffnut shrieked angrily.

The sun has just set when they finally reached their hut and slammed the door behind them. They had barely survived all the “surprises”, the riders had set for them.

“Save now.” huffed Tuffnut.

“I never thought I would say this, brother, but I think I am ready to let Loki day end.” wheezed Ruffnut.

“Yeah, -but were is Astrid? I did not seen her Loi´ing us.”

The next moment their entire hut began to shake as if they were experience an earthquake.

“Uh, we might to have think of this later. -WAH!”

Then the hut shook once more, nearly knocking the off their feet. Then it stopped.

“Weird. “ murmured Tuffnut and looked out of the window.

“Yeah. Too weird. -Hey, we never saw dragons crossing directly by our windows before! Our hut is not THIS high!”

“I fear, now it is.” said Tuffnut who has opened the door and looked outside. ”Someone has parked us on a sea stack!”

Then Astrid flew by and waved at them.

“Okay! This has gone too far!” said Ruffnut who joined her brother at the open door.

“You think so? That’s my special Loki´d for you! Enjoy your new home, guys.” Astrid smiled.

“If I ever mention Loki Day again, hold me down and pull all my nose hairs out!” Tuffnut grumbled as Astrid turned and flew back to the Dragon base.

 “Wow, your little walkyrie is really very unforgiving.” Dagur mentioned when he spotted the hut of the twins on the sea stack, flying by with Hiccup.

“I know.” Hiccup sighed. “Sometimes I really must pull her reins tighter to keep her from bullying my cousin or others too much. Same goes for the twins. They could sometimes a real pain in the ass! But this “Moving” will cool their weird brains off a bit, I hope.”

“Sometimes you must show Astrid, who the chief of the edge is.” Dagur grinned and balled a fist. “But you two are a perfect pair.”

“Dagur..” Hiccup grumbled and did not notice that his cheeks had flushed.

“Okay, little brother, till next time. I must return to Rykie, till he got suspicious. Normally he doesn’t mind, if I vanished for some time, but he is not so dumb like he is looking in his baldy head. And I am eager to meet HIS little brother Vig-go.”

“Nevertheless, be careful, you and Heather. And have a watchful eye on her. She can sometimes be very careless and forgetting danger.”

“I know.” Dagur nodded. “You take care too, my little one. -Okay, bud, let´s go!”

Hiccup watched Dagur and Shattermaster vanishing in the upcoming darkness.

Is traffic in the city a mess? Can I have seven more minutes?” Nat chuckled in the background, tapping Y/N’s shoulder, signaling her that she was done with her hair. “Thanks,” she whispered back, as she moved her phone away for a second before tucking it under her ear. “Woah girl, one question at a time. And I’m almost here, about ten more minutes, and traffic was a mess, but it’s clearing up,” he replied candidly. Y/N got up from where she was sitting in front of the mirror, turning to check her hair in the mirror. “Okay, see you soon. In about ten minutes?” she replied, adjusting her cardigan over her outfit. “Yes ma’am, about ten minutes,” Adrian replied, then hung up. She set down her phone on the vanity, playing with a button, thinking. Y/N paused, before taking the cardigan off at setting it on her bed. She deeply sighed, staring at herself in the mirror. “You can do this.”

Bucky squinted at the flat screen glowing in front of him, as he was slowly falling asleep. He shot up, hearing the sound of footsteps into the lounge. He looked up to see Y/N, dressed beautifully, in which he stared at her for a few seconds in awe. “You going somewhere?” he said, after a few seconds. She looked up from her phone, with a grin. “Yeah, on a casual thing.” she said with a shrug. “Like a date?” he said, slightly nervous inside. Bucky leaned back on the couch, raising his arm over the ledge of the couch. “To be honest, I’m not really sure. I think he called it a casual date of sorts, though.” Bucky nodded slowly, as his interest peaked but his heart dropped. “Well, I hope you have fun,” he said, his voice faltering, although he hoped that she hadn’t heard. “Thanks Buck,” she said sweetly. Y/N turned, clicking on her phone to check the time. “I think I should get going. He should be here any time now.” “Oh, uh okay,” he said, nodding his head. She smiled dimly, awkwardly shuffling her feet. “Uh hey,” Bucky said, suddenly getting up. “Take my jacket, it’s cold outside,” Bucky said, reaching out his arm to hand her his jacket. “T-thanks James,” she said, “I’m truly grateful to have you in my life.” She tucked the jacket under her arm, before heading out to her date.

The way she stated her last words before she left made Bucky think as if she was internally telling him to stop her. To stop her from going on this date, to proclaim that he was in love with her, that she shouldn’t go on this date because he loves her. Or maybe, Bucky’s just grasping straws and he’s been watching too many rom-coms with Steve and Wanda.

He glanced at the clock, adding the hours in his head, figuring out when she would be back home.

If she’ll come home right away.

His mind drifted, thinking about any missions coming up, before the searing white-hot pain of the past started creeping into his mind.

For Bucky, it was always hard when they went on a mission. Bucky’s pain of the war always resurfaced, as those memories could never truly be suppressed.

He missed those nights, looking into the faded light of the city along with the smoke of the factories tinting the sky. Steve would eventually wake up, mumbling that Bucky should go to bed, as he had work the next day.

It hit him, the very thought of her. Bucky shook his head squeezing his eyes shut. He wouldn’t let that pile of rocks avalanche on him, not yet. Maybe, not ever.

hELLO I’M BACK FROM THE DEAD. well, not really. but essentially.

I continually meant to write, but life didn’t really like that.

Over spring break, I broke my arm (left one, thank god) ironically on the monday of that week, which was then filled with an emergency room visit, a shortened vacation, and a rush to see an orthopedic surgeon once i’d come home.

That next week, it was my first SAT. yep. i was an anxious mess. Following that was surgery, then another week of a sleep-deprived painful recovery filled with unproductivity and watching films.

Next, it was the dreaded AP exam season aka the-mad-dash-to-cram-everything-into-my-head-oh-god-how-many-presidents-named-john-were-there?????? aka me stressed to max extreme. also I totally didn’t binge watch the first seasons of brooklyn nine nine and sense8 in those two weeks nope, totally not me also never try to memorize 500 or so years of US History in a week, you’ll regret not starting at least two weeks prior to the test. also writing three essays in two hours straight is both mentally and physically exhausting. my hand ached for a while afterwards..

Finals are in two weeks, so it may be a few weeks until I post again. :/

Much to say, my life was very chaotic and intense, but I’m glad that the death year™ of high school is nearly over. so how was your april/may? I hope it was much better than mine!

Car Insurance - Older owner still has insurance on it?

I had my car signed over to me on the 2nd November and received my V5 back on the 10th. I got the car insured ASAP as required on a daily basis. I have recently found out that the previous owner STILL has insurance on it and has arranged for it to be fully cancelled on the 1st December to collect their no claims bonus. Obviously I cannot make them cancel the policy but does this invalidate my insurance until the 1st Dec/make it illegal to use my car until this date?
