a few weeks back i suddenly had a lil kick and remembered I haven't tried making something for Madness Day or really done Madness stuff for a long time even though i still love these violent jellybeans dearly and figured I could redo a concept I did for the last Madness Day i did something for back in 2021.

so naturally i left it until last night to actually do most of the drawing. Jeb, Hank and Tricky have all died a stupid amount of times.

It looks gorgeous and I love the lean-back into DA2 style combat and the diplomatic/sarcastic/direct dialogue wheel

I'd be more excited if they showed a quest a little deeper into the plot, and I'm a little disappointed the game begins with a bombastic confrontation instead of taking its time and breathing a little

celeana/aelin and chaol ceased to exist as a couple the moment she was unable to forgive him for his part in nehemia's assassination. he didn't kill nehemia, but he trusted his kingdom more than he did celeana. in her eyes, he was as responsible as the person who held the weapon.

elain and lucien ceased to exist as a couple the moment she looked him in the eyes and told him "you were there. you betrayed us." he didn't kidnap nesta and elain and forced them into the cauldron, but in her eyes he's as responsible as ianthe, tamlin and he king of hybern.

I find it so hilarious, looking back on yesterday now, that Fit was being pummeled by those donos every minute, like literally the whole stream, but then when Pac was hiding in the yoga room, Fit was answering one of the ONLY REGULAR DONOS he'd got the whole day. Constant fitpackage happening on all fronts until Pac happened to be in the vicinity. It's like even the universe is trying to prolong the slow burn

last night i had a really weird sleep experience where I think it was sleep paralysis but idk and i felt someone rubbing my back and it felt really odd and then i woke up and then 5 seconds after i was like DAMN! i could've gone with it and pictured it as a handsome man!!! whatever that was can you come back tonight for no particular reason🥺..

Okay first of all, process, as always:

I drew this in one day hahaha....Actually really fun! I haven't finished anything in almost a month, and haven't painted for even longer, so I'm kinda dying at the fact that 18th century George Russell got me motivated 😭 Sometimes when painting, I realize I have free will and can actually just start painting over the lineart, and that's the best moment of every drawing process 🙏

Also I'm very proud of his face!!! I've said before, but art progression is such a weird thing. You'll keep repeating to your self "I'm no good at [insert art thing.]" And then randomly realized you can in fact do it. That's me with drawing real people's faces 😭 I'm just so shocked I got his face pretty good in one try!!!

Okay about the pose and quote. God its so fun to misappropriate quotes for my own evil deeds. Both of these are from this one officer from the Revolution: Banastre Tarleton. Idk, I randomly saw his painting in a history video, and it's stuck in my mind ever since. And then yesterday, bcs I spent a lot of time looking at George, I'm like "hey you know what he kinda reminds me of-" and thus we have this.

I just found that quote about him from some historian to be funny, so I put it as a caption, as I would with Napoleon. This won't be an AU by any means but. I think if George was in the Revolution, he'd be the most stereotypical, evil British villain in American media type guy ever. And Tarleton is kinda that guy tbh, to the point where him and others like Arnold Benedict are the poster boys of evil Revolution guys. He even has a mocking nickname! "Bloody Tarleton/Ban", very "Osama bin Russell," no? 😭

Some notable moments from Tarleton's campaign that I think fit George: Apparently killed a bunch of American soldiers after they surrendered, making sure everyone was dead(😭😭), threatened to burn an American general's house down to make him surrender and then took him hostage, went toe to toe with George Washington himself and Washington even taunted him and Tarleton got a shot in, has a helmet named after him(very slayful.)

hi!! first of all, i just wanted to say i love your art <3 i was in the twst fandom for a while and i'm currently into toku, so it's a nice surprise to see you like both! this is kinda dumb but, out of curiosity, how have you been making your ride kamens predictions? i.e. what hints are you referring to to make your guesses? i saw some jp artists making their guesses as well so i feel like i'm missing something

p.s. i also want a meteor/fourze-inspired character but that's probably not happening lol

I think we're all just working off of the silhouettes? there's the ones that are in the PV, and then the full-body ones from this tweet (plus a couple of as-yet-unreleased character logos on the bottom); if there's been any other info released, I haven't seen it. so...mostly it's just speculation and wild guesses!

based on the ones we've gotten so far, it's going to be literally impossible to tell who anyone is before they're revealed, but it's still pretty fun to guess! I'm still holding out a tender hope that maybe Fourze or Meteor is hidden in there...somewhere...😔

AHHHH that final panel

The smoking drifting from the bottom panel up through into the next one, twisting through time and space. Yuuko suddenly only appearing in silhouette, as she drops the friendly facade and speaks the truth as she knows it. 

Yuuko appearing like a hole in the page, in the same way that she’s a hole in the universe. 

Yuuko already knowing that Watanuki won’t know about his parents until After the big plot stuff is already done and over. 

Which most likely also means once Yuuko is no longer here. 

How Watanuki will regain knowledge of his family connections and she won’t be there to see it, or share in that happiness with him. 

How all she can do is gently guide him on the course that she hopes will be enough to get him (and the universe) through this all in one piece. 

And all she gets in return is sitting alone in an empty room, not being able to pass on the good news she knows would change his life.
