curt and kim being dance partners in all the scenes at the castle is something that is so special to me

Wasn't the whole point of Neuvillette being the Iudex to learn to cherish humanity? He's in charge of the place where criminals go, wouldn't he learn the opposite? Or would it be a case of him learning that humans, who seem so simple, are capable of change. That when given a chance humans can surprise you, especially Iudex Wriothesley.

Thinking about this alot actually. I do think its that last part.

I think for this to naturally happen, Focalors, instead of offering him 'a front seat to the grandest stage', she offers him a look into the shadows. If being created by a god is sin enough to be hated by sovereign kin, why not have a sovereign watch over them to properly repent for their sins?

I think even in this way, Neuvillette can still learn and cherish humanity. Because what is more hopeful than seeing even the damned earn salvation? What is more hopeful than seeing creatures in their most lowest point of their lives rise up again and fight for their freedom?

Because when at the very bottom, the only way left to go is up. All that is left to do is to take that first step.

If humans can do that, what does it say about gods and sovereigns?

And well if the Fortress is where the worst of humanity has to offer and Neuvillette still stayed all these millenias watching over them, then he'd be suprised with humanity's best.

Enter : Wriothesley

The child he watched over with nothing to his name, earned back his will to live, worked to get his life back together, and basically fought for the betterment of other people by becoming Iudex.

While he is not the first, it would be one of the most prominent and impactful case study of redemption Neuvillette can see from start to finish.
