I think what really gets to me with the finale is that Merlin was so close to getting Arthur to the lake. Yet, there was no plan beyond that. It's like even if they did get there, who knows if anything would have happened.

The idea that there was still more tragedy awaiting even if they made it, that yeah despite all of Merlin’s magic, he couldn't save Arthur's life.

It was always the possibility of the Sidhe, but there was no guarantee. It was all hope from the start, endless hope that failed them in the end.

Because well, it was always supposed to happen like this anyway... Arthur was meant to die so he could rise again, there was no alternative

post-revenge arc, mizu and ringo living in a cabin near the town. since she is 'available' for a duel to the death, taigen challenges her again and mizu accepts as she promised. problem is, they can't settle on a date and keep delaying it for stupidest reasons .d

ringo is going to try a new soba recipe for dinner and of course he'll need both sides' opinions. what if mizu's opinion is biased? they can't trust taigen's pricky ass too.

mizu said if taigen will come here and linger everyday, he better be useful and talk less. so he collects woods, helps mizu for training, chops onions for ringo (which ended up being a mini-duel between him and mizu because ringo deserves the best chopped onions from the best samurai). but taigen is not stupid, he isn't going to fall for mizu's 'make taigen exhausted-slash him easily' plan. it won't be a fair fight. taigen has to rest and mizu should help him, she is responsible after all.

as the weather gets warmer, rumors of a big festival spread. ringo is so excited, talks non-stop about how much him and his master will have fun but taigen doesn't agree. he bets joining a festival with mizu is like carrying a heavy rock around while you are trying to enjoy your trip. mizu isn't obsessed with honour unlike taigen but she can't let that slide too. she will show him that she knows how to have fun, even more than him. they'll kill each other after the festival then.

Consoling myself over the fact that I’m spending my favorite holiday (Easter) alone with the fact that at least I have a dinner planned (kielbasa, pierogi, kapusta) and I have a thematic hyperfixation to indulge that day.

#my family lives 2000 miles away and I’m saving money bc I might have to fly for a funeral in the next month and I really don’t have time for #any trips but like it is a holiday I miss spending with my family and it’s been since 2020 and that was a Not Fun time #grad school has been me coming to terms with spending holidays alone and realizing that decorating for them and having festive meals is #IMPORTANT and makes me enjoy the day more!!

I love the Green Dragon keg that only teleports you to the Green Dragon.

#lotro #like. i dont know what i expected.#anyway i think that this will be very useful for farmers faire #also might be useful for shortening inn league initiation runs #im thinking... teleport from the golden perch to your house and hit up this keg to take you to the green dragon #then leave the green dragon and go to the floating log instead #obviously #but i bet it will save you a lot of time on what is tbh the longest leg of the trip #well the longest leg if you have swift travel between brockenborings and stock #if you dont then thats the longest leg #but at least you can always slow horse it and it takes you right where you need to go #as opposed to slow horsing it from stock to hobbiton and then getting off at frogmorton which is currently the way i do it #anyway when midsummer fest starts ill time it and see #it also depends on if you can put the keg outside i think #if you have to wait for multiple loading screens to get to it then it might not be so good #just tested it and it can be placed in yard hooks #also if anyones wondering why i have an optimized route for the inn league initiation quest #its because the inn league initiation quest is THE way to get lixp during festivals #because the inn league initiation quest is 7 quests in a trenchcoat #and you get lixp for all of them #same for the ale association run in bree but like bree is laggy during festivals #i dont want to be doing timed shit there

anyway grace kelly in high society (1956) is actually good. while as far as she is from being a Comedienne™, she totally could have become one if she had had the chance to. like isolating her performance, her tracy is charming and funny, and i think her spin on tracy works and she is able to make it her own especially when you consider that tracy was originally written specifically with kate in mind. its just totally undermined by the fact that when unavoidably you compare the film as a whole to the 1940 version, the film is just not as good because the pacing of high society is horrible, and really just feels like they just cut and pasted the quippiest lines from the original and added some cole porter songs in between. and then of course there is bing crosby...........

#tldr; i do not think high society's failings are not grace's fault!! if anything she saved the film #the movie being bad does not make her performance bad #and this is coming from the bitch whose second favorite is easily the philadelphia story (1940)#anyway i know they changed the location of the movie to newport to advertise the newport jazz festival #and so to have it make sense for louis armstrong to be there #but keeping in philadelphia would have just been so perfect #like the original story was about the wedding of daughter from a high-profile philadelphia family #and grace is literally from philadelphia and this was her last film before getting married #so anyway yeah....#personal #High Society

also forgot to post about it yesterday, but i have designated december 2nd as constantine's official catch-up day with his niece gemma!! they don't see each other often since she "quit magic for good" (or is very good at pretending she has) but the holidays are a hard time for them both and it's too awkward to explain every year why you avoid your last living relative, so they've agreed on early december for an annual short dinner and chat. sometimes they call on christmas day, but they never meet up; neither of them wants to do christmas without cheryl.

I think they should add a birthday feature to FEH. I don't think this would really improve anything or change much but I do think it would be fun. MAYBE... it could be a relatively non-intrusive thing they could add to Aether Resort. Just like a little notification if you happen to go to the resort on a chara's bday (exactly like Fates actually!) And if you have random slots on your resort maybe that chara shows up.
