not to inaugurate oscars discourse on this fine saturday evening but i really do think argo best picture at the 2013 oscars was one of the most inexplicable decisions they've made in recent memory

#i just rewatched it for the first time since it came out and honestly even at the time i thought lincoln was a better movie and should have #won but also lincoln has held up soooo much better. i have rewatched it multiple times and every time i think to myself this is a really #good movie. i did not think that rewatching argo. it is not a bad film by any means but it's not that good.#i actually still havent seen any of the best picture noms for that year other than argo and lincoln so i feel like i cant conclusively stat #that lincoln should have won but of those two it is hands down the better film
