EP 7 doesn't have much I want to talk about, though a quick thing about all the songs. The only one I truly loved was Carmila's the rest were fine and I loved all the callbacks to previous songs.

- because sam was… well, sam. and the pair of you were just so different; you were always so damn cheerful and had enough energy to rival a small child on a sugar rush, and as endearing as that was, it hardly fit into sam’s reserved and careful nature.

- but the two of just seemed to work - especially given just how enamoured sam is with you. the way you smile especially has her weak in the knees, all flustered like she’s suddenly a teenager in love.

- the way you smile alone is enough to make her day, so it’s a damn good thing that you grin at practically everything: when you wake up and see that the sun is shining, when your favourite song comes on the radio, and - sam’s personal favourite - when she finishes work and you look at her like she’s the centre of your entire universe.

- the best part of her day is when you run into her arms after a long shift, telling her just how much you’d missed her whilst she was gone. and with the way you kiss her, all gentle yet so damn eager , she can certainly tell.

- usually, sam can’t deal with rambling at all. it gets on her nerves, and there’s not enough people that she tolerates enough to potentially listen to for that long. but with you? god, she’d listen to you talk for days.

- she just sits there, nodding and smiling like an idiot as you ramble on about some movie you just watched or a cute dog you saw on your walk home - sometimes, she has no idea what it is that you’re tracking about, but she doesn’t even care - not when you’re so damn cute when you’re passionate.

- showers you with gifts - but feels totally embarrassed to give them to you. stands there awkwardly as you squeal over your new necklace, but can’t help but chuckle as you literally throw yourself at her, wrapping your arms around her so tightly that it’s a wonder you don’t break any bones.

- swears that it isn’t a big deal (she spent an obscene amount of money on it) and she only got it because she was near the store (you’d said you’d liked it weeks ago, and you deserved only the best). legend has it that you’re the only one that can make sam carpenter blush.

- you drag her everywhere with you - literally. you hold onto her hand and move from place to place so quickly that you might as well teleport, trying desperately to enjoy everything all at once.

- “wait, sam!! look at that! oh, it’s so great, do you see it?? it’s adorable!!”

“yeah, i see it princess - almost as cute as you.”

- the way you hurry around also means that sam keeping an eye on you becomes second nature; she’s always prepared to reach out or hook an arm around to ensure that you don’t trip over your own feet.

- seriously. sometimes she wonders what happens when she’s not there to catch you - although she does her damn hardest to make sure that’s never the case.

- sam is understandably already overprotective of those she cares about, but with you, she turns it up to an eleven. mostly, it’s because she worries - you were so sweet to everybody, and she didn’t want anybody to try and take advantage of that.

- she takes this very literally - glaring at almost every new person you introduce yourself to.

- it’s nothing you haven’t noticed though, and you can’t help but tease her for it. she just grumbles and says you’ve “turned her soft,” even despite the fact you can both she she’s smiling like an idiot <3

- you both also know that you have her wrapped around your finger without even trying - sam never has been able to say no to your puppy dog eyes.

- you definitely rope her into matching with you - whether it’s with makeup, outfits or accessories (she 100% wears a necklace with your initial on it <3)

- given your already…hyperactive nature, sam admirably tries her hardest to keep you away from caffeine - nothing good comes from that combination, trust her. you just think it’s sweet that she cares, and even if you don’t always take her advice, you appreciate her always looking out for you.

- on a semi-related note, your sleeping pattern isn’t the most regular, but when you do fall asleep, more often than not, it just happens to be on sam - whether it’s her shoulder or her chest, your girlfriend has had to resign herself to the role of personal pillow.

- not that she minds, and her heart definitely melts when she sees just how peaceful you look.

- you have a habit of wanting to try everything - meaning you’ve tried your hand at basically every hobby under the sun. painting, pottery, crocheting - you name it, you’ve probably wanted to try it at some point. even though you usually end up growing bored and inevitably give it up, sam keeps souvenirs from all of your endeavours and treasures them all, her favourite being a painting that, if you squint hard enough, shows the two of you on some sort of date.

- sam had never been somebody who revived a lot of compliments growing up, but with you? every single day, you make sure to let her know just how does ik she is to you and how much you love her, plain and simple. she doesn’t know if you’re aware just how much that means to her, but gif, she hopes you do.

- you’re possibly the only person- maybe even including tara - who can get away with calling her stupidly sappy nicknames.

- they’re corny as hell and make no sense half of the time, but they come from your heart - and sam can’t help but adore that fact.

- after a mere few months into your relationship, the difference in sam’s apartment is palpable: the table never is never not decorated with flowers you bought because “aren’t they just the prettiest things you’ve ever seen?”, photos of the pair of you are tacked up onto the fridge with heart magnets and all of your belongings are strewn across the place like you live there - which, at this point, you might as well.

- being around you in general just allows sam to relax immensely - your energy’s just so infectious that being around you instantly puts her in a good mood, and she loves the way you encourage her to be better without even trying.

- and, as sappy as it sounds, every moment sam spends with you, she finds herself becoming more and more completely enamoured with you <3

"Everything okay?" Seungmin looks at you as you stand and study the hotel in front of you. You look at him as he gently smiles, Chan and Jisung taking care of all the belongings in the background.

"Mhm." You respond. Your eyes shift down to the arm he props out, signaling for you to hold onto it before following Chan and Jisung inside. You softly chuckle and grab onto his arm, letting him lead you into the lobby.

As Jisung mentioned, both the wedding and reception were going to take place in the garden area of the oceanside hotel. Jisung, of course, needed to be here a day before the wedding for the rehearsal. Upon entering the lobby, you see him and Chan greeting his parents, with Yuna and Yeong-Su following behind. Their eyes all shift to you and Seungmin as you get closer, Jisung's mom the first to approach you and gently take you into her arms.

"My babygirl." She says. You embrace her and hug her tightly, being that Jisung's parents were just like your own. They've popped in to check on you at the hospital and a few times post-release. You can tell they're also trying to keep it safe around you, almost like you're fragile— need to be handled with care. "I'm so happy you're here." She pulls away, cupping your cheek. "Are you doing okay?" You nod.

"I'm okay." You verbally respond just as Jisung's father is pulling you in for a hug.

"Your uncle couldn't make it?" You shake your head.

"No, he's working on a big project right now. He sends his regards, though." You make a mental note to call your Uncle Adrian later just to let him know you've made it safely. Being that he owned his own construction company, he was always on the go and working on projects around town. He was reliable, someone known for his kindness and trustworthiness. People always wanted him to be handling their projects or needs. You don't blame them— he was your mom's brother and he reminded you of her in so, so many ways. You were grateful for him and for the many ways he has provided and kept you safe, protected. You're especially grateful to have him because if you weren't going to have mom here, you at least had him— a piece of her. They shared the same attitude, values, the same gracefulness.

Both angelic and gentle.

"Well, you let us know if you need anything. Especially if he starts working up your nerves." Jisung's dad nods towards him.

"I will." You chuckle.

"Y/N." Yuna pokes out her bottom lip as she comes to embrace you. "God, it's so nice to see you and hug you. I missed you so much."

"I missed you, too."

"Thank you for coming. Seriously. I know it's a lot, but it means so much to me that you're here." She looks at you.

"I'm glad I'm here." You smile at Yeong-Su and greet him. "How can I help right now?"

"No, no. Don't you dare lift a finger. We have people taking care of everything. I just want you to relax and enjoy yourself while you're here, okay?" Yuna hangs onto your arm. "I can't believe it's here already."

"Time flies by."

"Sure does." Yuna leans her head against your shoulder. "I hope it all goes to plan."

"Don't worry. Everything will be fine, and it'll all be amazing. You'll look so, so beautiful walking down that aisle and I can't wait to witness that moment." Yuna smiles at you. Although you can't recall the moments you've spent with Jisung's family or Yuna in general, her aura is comforting. She's special to you, and you to her— that seeing her only confirms that fact that she has been someone dear and close to you. It's easy to talk to her like this, as if your body was working with its muscle memory. Though, you wish you could look back at those moments and cherish them instead.

"Thank you." There's a slight hint of worry in her eyes when she looks at you, when they all look at you, and it's a clear sign that they too, are walking on eggshells around you. Fragile, sensitive, afraid you'd crack and break into pieces any moment.

These times were trying, and you hated it when people looked at you that way. You have to constantly reassure yourself that people cared. Maybe even a bit too much, but they cared.

They believe in you, Y/N.

You aren't lost, Y/N.

That's not what this is.

"If you need me or anything at all, don't you ever hesitate to let me know. Okay?"

"Okay. Don't worry Yuna. This weekend is all about you and Yeong-Su, alright? It'll be great." She nods happily.

"Sorry to bother. Need to borrow my bestfriend so I can show her to the room?" Jisung steps in and Yuna rolls her eyes.

"You're always so selfish with her, you know that?" He scoffs.

"Woah, I'm literally just taking her to the room!"

"Share sometimes." She continues to playfully argue with him before returning her attention to you. "Get some rest. Enjoy yourself. I'll see you tonight for dinner." She squeezes your hand before reuniting with Yeong-Su and Jisung's parents.

"Ready? We're on the fourth floor." He has his duffle bag strap over one shoulder, while carrying your weekender bag by the hand. He gives you a small smile, eyes darting back to Chan and Seungmin walking ahead towards the elevator. "We're sharing a room with two beds, and Chan and Seungmin are in the connecting room. Is that okay?"

"Mhm, that's fine." You follow the three boys into the elevator. "Where's Minho going to be?" Chan and Seungmin look at you before looking at Jisung.

"Oh, he's not coming tonight. He's just gonna show up for the wedding tomorrow and stay after."

"I see."

"We should check out the bar and stuff before the dinner." Chan chimes in as he continues to scroll through his phone. "Wanna come, Y/N? No pressure."

"Hm, sure. It'll be nice to explore." Chan smiles at you. Once you hit the fourth floor, the four of you walk over to the rooms silently, Jisung dropping your bags to the floor before opening the door that joins the two rooms together. You immediately walk towards the window to look out at the view, arms crossed at your chest as you take in the way the sun bounces off of the water's surface.

"Pretty isn't it? I suggested for Yuna and Yeong-Su to get married here." You chuckle at Jisung.

"Nice choice."

"Did you get to call your uncle yet?"

"No, not yet. I'll call him in a bit." He nods.

"Want this bed?" Jisung points to the bed closest to the window and you smile at him.

"You'd give up the bed with a view?"

"Why not? All that matters to me is that you're comfortable." He shrugs. "I know all of this happened kinda last minute for you."

"It's not like that." You chuckle. "I'm glad I came along. It already feels nice to be away for a weekend."

"Good." He looks at Chan and Seungmin. "I can use their bathroom so that you have this one to yourself."

"It's fine, pachi. It's not like we haven't done this before with our families." You look at him with a certain look in your eyes, and he feels like he can relax. Jisung does worry about you, probably way more than he should, but at the end of the day, he just wants to make sure you're taken care of. It's his duty as your bestfriend, and he feels especially protective after everything you've been through. You've done so much for Jisung while growing up that he can't help but feel like he didn't do enough to keep you safe, to keep you from getting hurt, to protect you. He knows it's not his fault, but he can't help but blame himself. 

He feels like he could have done more.

And with you being here—being awake, being you— he feels like he's gotten a second chance to do better. He's gotten a second chance to make up for the things he didn't do before. He'll never take that for granted ever again.

"Mmkay." He chuckles. "Well, I'm gonna go wash up before we head down." You nod before unzipping your weekender bag and gently pulling out your wedding gift. Thankfully, after some days of rest and taking it easy, you were able to finish off the vase you started for Yuna. On top of that, you were able to grab other useful items to gift the couple as well. You set the things aside before hanging up your dress and setting your heels aside for tomorrow. While Jisung is still in the bathroom, you grab your phone out of your pocket and press your uncle's number under your Favorites list. It rings for 3 times before he picks up on the other line, the construction sounds blaring in the background.

"Hey Y/N, sorry it's so loud." You can tell he's trying to walk towards a quieter place with the way the background slowly fades out. "Did you and the boys make it okay?"

"Mhm, it was a smooth ride."

"Good, that's good to hear. How is the hotel? I heard it's really nice."

"It is super nice. I saw Yuna, Yeong-Su and Jisungie's parents as soon as we got here. I told them you send your regards."

"Thank you. Yeah, I wish I could come, but this project is taking up so much of my time. We're still behind." He chuckles a bit. "You have fun and enjoy yourself, okay?"

"I will. I just wanted to let you know that we were here."

"Okay, call me later when you're free. Hopefully I'll be home and resting by then." You laugh.

"You should. Don't work too hard."

"I'll try not to. Tell Jisung and the boys I said hi."

"I will. I love you."

"I love you too." And with that, the call ends. You set your phone aside and dig through your bag again, checking to see which clothes you could change into that are more fitting for the warm weather. You pull out a simple black mini skirt and a crop top, hugging it against your chest as you wait for Jisung to finish up in the bathroom. You peek into Seungmin and Chan's room to see them lazily lying on their beds, with Seungmin the first to look up from his phone when he sees you looking in.

"Need something, Y/N?" He sits up and you shake your head.

"Do you mind if I change in your bathroom? Jisungie's taking forever."

"Go for it."

"Dude, tell him to hurry up." Chan looks at Seungmin. "I wanna grab a drink."

"Han Jisung, hurry up!" Seungmin yells from the bed as he crashes back onto it. You slip into their bathroom and shut the door behind you, hearing Chan and Seugmin constantly yelling at Jisung to hurry. You giggle to yourself as you change into your clothes, already feeling better being out of those leggings and the thick hoodie you had on.

"Where's Y/N?" You hear Jisung ask.

"She's changing in our bathroom cause you took too long."

"Oh." You hear footsteps approaching the bathroom door. "I'm sorry, cielo. You should've knocked."

"It's alright." You swing the door open, which causes Jisung to step back and quickly eye you from head to toe. "I'm ready now, we can head down."

"You look nice." You smile at Jisung.

"Thanks." You walk past him to get back to your room and drop your clothes.

"You always look nice, Y/N." Seungmin adds.

"Even in your pajamas, Y/N." Chan playfully chimes in causing Jisung to roll his eyes.

"Back off." You giggle to yourself when you hear Chan and Seungmin laughing at Jisung’s remark. They stand up to their feet when you walk back into their room, and the four of you start heading back down to the hotel lobby to explore around. On the way down, Chan and Seungmin are cracking jokes between each other that make you laugh, while Jisung picks up a call that comes through on his phone.

"Minho, yo." He picks up the call. "Yo?" He repeats. "What do you want?" You obviously can't hear Minho on the other line, but Jisung furrows his brows while listening to him. "What do you mean you don't know what to buy as a present? They have a registry. Just buy something from there or give them money so they can use it towards whatever they please." Jisung sighs. "Uh no, absolutely not a good idea to give them sex toys as a present." You chuckle, making Jisung look down at you before looking back ahead. "Dude, you're fucking gross. Do what you want. I'm telling Yuna and Yeong-Su that I had nothing to do with it." He lets out another breath. "Yeah, okay. I'm hanging up now." He lets out a laugh. "You're full of shit. Bye."

"Productive conversation, I see." Jisung shrugs.

"Dude is out of his mind. He's terrible when it comes to giving gifts."

"I'm sure he'll figure it out." It falls quiet as you continue walking towards the bar near the lobby. But for you, you're mainly wondering why you haven't talked to Minho as much as you expected to. He was your bestfriend, right?

Why didn't he say hi?

Does he ask about you as much as you do with him?

Why does it feel like Jisung is a wall between you two?

"Yo, look at this." Chan picks up the flyer at the front of the bar. "Tequila shots are only a dollar from now until 8PM."

"You're out of your mind." Seungmin laughs. "That shit is probably poison, and I'm not taking care of your asses."

"I can handle myself!" He nudges Jisung. "Let's go."

"I'm only gonna take like.. 3, my guy. I still have to rehearse, you know?"

"What better way to rehearse than tipsy?"

"Fuck you." Jisung shakes his head as he gives in to Chan. "You're really not gonna join in?"

"No, hell no. I'll stay here with Y/N and keep her safe from you two weirdos." Seungmin stands closer to you and you smile at the two. "We'll just help ourselves to some family-friendly drinks and people-watch outside." He looks down at you and you nod.

"Sounds fun to me." The boys know you aren't fond of drinking, especially after the accident. It's not like they've ever pressured you, but it's nice to have Seungmin swoop you away from Chan and Jisung's chaos just so you two could chill. I was ready for whatever was gonna happen next. I was at peace with it. He pauses. "Then she came back. And I'm supposed to feel relief, right?" He finally turns to Seungmin again, eyes red from all the crying.

"You don't have to feel that way right now. Understandably, it's a lot at once." Is the best Seungmin can do.

"Yeah. Because truthfully, I don't feel relieved." Seungmin sees the tears building up on Minho's bottom lids again, his lip slightly trembling. "I'm not relieved because it feels like I still lost her either way. That's the hardest part about all of this." He starts to softly cry again, and he remains silent. you can see the conflict in his face. he really doesn't want to leave you, but the other members are counting on him and he doesn't want to let them or the fans down. you grab both sides of his face, gently squishing his cheeks. "how about if i swear that if i feel like that again i will send one of the stage hands out to drag you off that stage no matter what you're doing and bring you right back here to me."

he chuckles lightly at the thought of being pulled off stage in the middle of a song by a random stage hand. "promise?" he asks, eyes a little brighter and the worry lines on his forehead disappearing as he holds up his pinky between the two of you.

"promise," you nod seriously, a stoic expression on your face while locking your pinky with his. you last only a moment before both of you burst out in laughter.

leaning forward to give him a quick kiss to the cheek, you playfully shove his shoulder. "now get back out there"

Didn't think I'd cram the last part into one post, but here we are anyway. These last 150ish pages were... All over the place. In a good way!

Final notes:

Oh, there she is!!! Talk about a monster under the bed.

Ok, but how casual is that scene? I know something like that was coming (I've seen some fanart, but knew too little to know who it was about, just that Harrow and Ianthe would be peeking under the bed), but it's just so normal. I like it. Kinda eerie because it's not presented as scary.

Of course Ianthe didn't see it. Don't worry Harrow, I believe you.

Yeah, ok. It makes sense that Ortus was just fulfilling other to kill Harrow. His reasoning for it just wasn't strong enough. "You're a liability." Just like everyone else.

Harrow NOVA. There we go. The other Harrow finally revealed by her full name. Though I applaud Muir, I haven't even noticed we never got her last name. Gorgeous and genius writing, through and through.

HAHAHAHAHAHA love how Harrow did the typical "I am small. Therefore, I will be a quick and murderous machine" but Muir decided to break up the cliché by saying she discovered that at the ripe age of 5. Man, I love this book. And I love Harrow as a character.

Ok, gotta say, chapter 40 lost me.

I think... I got it? I might need to read the remaining pages for all of this to settle down, but this is much less complicated that I thought it would be.

What is the meaning of love if not sacrificing every single memory of a person in order to save them? 😭

Of course, it was not a dream. That would be too easy. The bubbles make perfect sense.

I know I said Ortus was annoying when quoting the Noniad, but I really like him as a character. And by that I mean how Muir has given him more depth and allowed him to grow. Which also made the scene where he hugs Harrow so impactful. 🖤

Ok, the Ortus thing was unexpected. And I'm excited to learn what it's all about.

But first. The Sleeper.

UGH! I love how considerate Gideon is with Harrow's body. Sure, she's a little awkward in it and puts out a dirty joke or two, but she's just trying to be respectful and useful. Also the way she's so worried over any and all her injuries, even though she knows they'll all heal? So fucking cute.

Protesilaus took Dulcinea in his care when she fell ill. That's so cute. 🥺

Oh, hell yes! Gideon stepped the fuck up. Time for Ianthe to meet her fucking match.

You know what? After everything that happened, my reaction to finding out Gideon is God's daughter was just "Ok. Cool."

Also I wouldn't have guessed they were related based on their eyes. Sure, John's eyes were mentioned multiple times, but they're silver and Gideon's are gold, so I wouldn't have put two and two together just by that. But! It fits. It's foreshadowed. It works. So yeah. Sure. Love it.

I knew it! I knew that he had a cavalier! I knew that he was a Lyctor! Hell yeah!

So much stuff happens at the end. I just kept on reading, without spending much time on commentating. I needed to know what happens and tbh, I have no idea what I just read. But that's okay! It was fun!

Ok, all in all, the book was spectacular. I liked it even more than I did Gideon. I liked how Muir handled Harrow's grief. I liked the reveals, the mysteries, the tension and the stakes. I liked the characters and I liked how Abigail got a lot more page time. I didn't even care about her in the first book, but now I really like her. I liked Ortus too!

Now, I'm still confused... About a few things. Primarily Harrow Nona. So I'll have to read an explanation or teo about it (or you can comment on the post if you'd like to help me out). Did... Harrow Nonangesimus kept watch and narrated over what Nona was doing? As in, she was dissociating from her body after the lobotomy and experiencing everything from a distance? Or was that all Gideon? Because I feel like it wasn't. Gideon's narration style is totally different and clearly comes out at the very end, but idk. I feel like I'm missing something here or that I'm not grasping something ridiculously simple.

Anyway, I'll be reading a little more about it, but yeah. "Harrow" is done, so I'll have to get my hands on Nona! In the meantime I'll be writing out my review. 🖤

It’d been a week and a half since you’d seen Steve. Eleven days. The longest you’d ever gone without seeing him. And you’d been going crazy without him. Not to say you hadn’t talked to him — you’d called him nearly every day you’d been gone — but you missed him and his hugs. You were finally heading home, though, and Steve was picking you up at the airport. 

Steve had been fairing about the same as you. He’d been missing you like crazy, and Robin was going crazy hearing about it. Anxious for your arrival, Steve had shown up at the airport nearly an hour early, pacing back and forth with flowers in hand. He was getting weird looks, but couldn’t find it in himself to care.

When he knew your flight had landed, he headed towards the baggage claim and found a spot right in front. One hand on his hip, his shoe tapped against the tile floor repeatedly, bouquet of flowers clutched tightly in his grasp as he scanned the incoming crowd impatiently. There were so many things from the past week that he wanted to tell you — one call a day hadn’t been cutting it — but most of all, he wanted to hug you close and never let go. Finally, he spotted you near the back of the group of people and shouted your name, lifting his hand above his head to catch your attention. 

Your head whipped in the direction his voice had come from, eyes lighting up as you spotted him. He had the biggest smile you’d ever seen tugging at his lips, and your heart skipped a beat knowing that it was all because of you. Grinning, you returned his wave and started pushing your way through the crowd of people in front of you. Everyone was moving much too slowly for your liking as you muttered apologies and wove through families and couples in your way. 

“Steve!” you shouted as you burst through the crowd to the other side, closing the short distance between the two of you with a few quick steps. You practically threw yourself at him, arms flying around his neck as you buried your face in the crook of his neck. “Oh my god, I missed you so much.”

He let out a huff of a laugh as you nearly knocked the wind out of him with how hard you’d launched yourself at him. Quick to recover, Steve’s arms circled your waist as he pulled you off of your toes enough to spin you around. His voice came out muffled in your hair when he finally replied, “Missed you, too, baby. So, so much.”

You squeaked in surprise as he lifted you off of your feet and clutched him even tighter as he spun you around until he set you back down, his hands settling on your hips gently. Letting out a huff, you moved your hands to cup Steve’s cheeks and looked at him seriously, “I’m never leaving you for that long ever again. Was going crazy without you.”

Steve laughed again but nodded seriously, his fingers pressing into the soft skin of your hip, “Me too, sweetheart. Robin was sick of hearing about how much I missed you, I think.”

Thumbs brushing up his cheeks and the bit of stubble that had grown there, you gently pulled Steve’s face closer to yours until your lips brushed against his. You could already feel the hint of a smile that tugged at the corners of his lips as you murmured, “I might die if you don’t kiss me right this second.” 

“Well, we can’t have that, can we?” he murmured in reply, dipping down to close the space between the two of you in a sweet kiss that wasn’t nearly long enough for your liking. 

“One more,” you whispered as he tried to pull back, leaning up to kiss him again, “Never going that long without you again, baby.”

She's, like, a super genius super cutie and she's super sweet and kind and loves animals. (Seriously, one of the reasons she started working for the FBI is she was a computer hacker and hacked into the website of a cosmetic company that tests on animals and her options when she got caught were literally work for the FBI or her ass is getting thrown in prison. She chose the FBI. We love a queen that fights for animal wellfare. The other reason was she wanted to get away from her garbage, and I do mean GARBAGE, boyfriend and have a better life.)

I'm pretty sure she has ADHD. Maybe autism. IDK, but she's definitely some kinda neurospicy.

She's a walking sparkly neon rainbow. You know the way Flynn's bedroom is described in the one jatp book? Season 1-15 Penelope is that and I love it.

She went ginger once and it was a whole vibe.

She was super nice to her ex boss all the way from s1 to his departure in early s12, and I'm 99% sure was the only one that actually called him bossman or sir bc everyone else just called him Aaron or by his nickname, Hotch. She was really good at making him smile, which actually wasn't that hard but people exaggerate the rarity of a Hotch smile for some reason.

After that, she was still really nice to the replacement he handpicked, Emily Prentiss, who she already adored after working with her since s2.

Hotch was literally physically incapable of saying no to this woman and she fully knew and took advantage of that shit, ok? Seriously, one time, Penelope made a joke like "who could say no to me?" and Hotch just smirked a little bit because he knew he couldn't say anything. Penelope does an incredible imitation of the pleading emoji. Or the Puss In Boots face. Whatever you wanna call this:

"Boss, I want you to hire Tara. 🥺" "Ok. Tell everyone else the position has been filled." "Boss, I don't wanna eat dinner alone. Do you want a veggie omelette? 🥺" "Ok. Do you have jalapeños?"

The hilarious thing is she doesn't even have to make that face. She does it to mess with him.

And then there's her, uh...... interesting little flirtationship with Derek Morgan. Or as Penelope calls him, chocolate thunder. He loves that name and encourages it. He calls her babygirl. They also have about a million other adorable pet names for each other.

I've said before that before I actually started watching and only had the massive comp of him calling her that, I genuinely really thought Morcia was canon. Like, oh, my GOD, dude. These two are disgustingly obsessed with each other. The shit they say on work calls. He calls her sexy and brilliant Goddess and told her it drives him crazy when "she talks that voulez coucher stuff to him". Like, hello? Honestly, I'm amazed Derek only had to sit through one HR lecture about creating a hostile work environment. Or at least, we only saw one.

Then there's her very sweet friendship with baby genius, boy wonder, good doctor, Agent Doctor Spencer Reid.

MY BABIES. I LOVE THEM. I want them back. Gimme back my Penny², damnit.
