Some Fruity Six Headcanons 💕

(no one come for me on this one lmao)

• Nancy and Robin both get motorcycles and take turns driving each other around

• Jonathan, Argyle, Steve and Eddie played spin the bottle while stoned once. It was an interesting night that they only talk about with each other and no one else.

• They all go to a fair/carnival and they each win their SOs a stuffed animal (wasting a lot of their hard-earned money in the process). Eddie drags Steve onto all the rides. Robin and Nancy don't need to be dragged, they love the rides. Jonathan and Argyle mostly just the ones that stay on the ground (aside from the swings.)

• Argyle introduces pineapple pizza to Eddie and Steve wants to strangle him everytime they go get pizza from that moment on because Eddie fucking loves it. (no I won't take criticism on this one)

• They all did acid together once. Eddie was the tripsitter making sure everyone was safe and comfortable and drinking enough water. They laughed a lot, took turns playing music, and watched a lot of cartoons. Steve and Eddie wouldn't stop making out at one point until Robin threw a stuffed animal at them. At one point, they all go outside to look at the stars and hold hands.

• Ooo Nancy and Robin inspiring Eddie to get a motorcycle and he almost wipes out the first few times he drives it, scaring Steve off it forever.

I love the idea that after Billy and Steve's weird as fuck fight in a random back water house surrounded by a bunch of kids while his sister injected him with god knows what (like why are there syringes here? Also why was there crayon shit all over the walls? Has that baseball bat got nails in it??) That he just... avoided Mr generic boy-band king Steve like the plague for the rest of the year because he thinks he's part of some child recruiting witch cult.

Like, I need to know what Billy thought about all...that?!

I can't really say that I'm a big fan of Thinger Strangs, but I do appreciate that the Duffer Brothers are the sole voice in television determined to remind the world "teenagers are incredibly weird looking and even sort of ugly"

Here is a portion of a fic I am working on that is a few scenes with Steve after the finale of Season 2. When everyone reconvenes at the cabin and reunite. (And he has to figure out a way to explain how the ‘Demodogs’ punched him in the face over and over) It’s first draft so excuse grammar etc

Steve just about rattled Billy’s stupid noisy car up to the front porch. Parking up sharply, running on empty in regards to dignity. With Dustin and Max making sure he drives in enough of a straight line to get them there, they where finally where they need to be. The engine cranked loud and ugly. With sounds not dissimilar to it trying throw itself clean out of the vehicle. The smell was new, burning metal and oil. Or maybe it had been there the whole time, he wasn’t sure he could trust all his senses right now. At least two of its tires were in tatters, splitter and flat. If Steve was in a clearer mind, he would wonder what on god's green earth this car went through when he was unconscious. But alas,the adrenaline from the night was wearing desperately thin. Falling off a cliff, one might say.

He was feeling dizzy again. He swallowed thickly as the kids threw the doors of the car open, making the whole world shake. As long as he can get all of these idiots back into that house, and put back into the responsibility of those older and wiser than he, then he will be fine.

Mike led the kids through the front door in a frenzy zie of limbs and stamping feet. As though if they were even a second longer, the reality of success would disappear in a vapour, so desperate they were to see Will, to see El, for it to be real.

Shadows bounced warmly off the closed curtains as they greeted each other, frantic, quiet, joyful. As Steve watched them disappear into the house, an urge came over him so strongly and suddenly that it almost unsettled him. Almost. The urge to simply get back in that car and fuck off leave all these irreversabley connected people to their homecoming. God he could sleep for a week. And anyway, all that noise in there, and light, where would he fit? His ear ached something terrible when the breeze hit it now. Cold as ice too. Underwater.

He was snapped out of his thoughts when Jonathan popped his head out of the door distractedly, saw him learning on the open car and beckoned him in, a genuine, if not drained smile on his face. Steve wondered then if he had ever seen Jonathan smile before. Without a thought he walked unsteadily up and into the house, leaving the car door wide open, already forgotten in the night.

I’ve always put so much pressure on myself to make art as fast as possible, to keep up and churn it out quickly. So it can be consumed and interacted with by as many as possible asap. I realise now after doing it half my life that I’m probably putting unnecessary pressure on my back.

Turns out going slow is so so enjoyable. To spend time with it, to indulge in the process, detail and fun.
