it reminded me of when i first got into hermitcraft, start of s6, read atus and then binged the evo smp, was into the fandom.

but by the end of s6 i kinda left the fandom? but was still v into hc, watched even more povs throughout s7 and s8.

and when the moon thing happened, i was like huh? and went back to tumblr to check things out, and was so confused.

maybe i didnt pay attention enough or smthn, and the only examples i can rlly remember and pinpoint r the grian ones, but yeah, i just remeber being conf and having to adjust lol

and soz for long msg, thought it was interesting

see it's funny because i was actually HERE for some of these fandom shifts--grian with wings has been steadily more and more common and was already a big thing when i joined the fandom, but grian and scar is a direct fault of the life series (plus in season eight they then hung out a lot), as is some of grian's fanon personality. and like, if you weren't here for that, i totally get how it's a big shift! sometimes i read some fics from earlier fandom and am like. huh. that's a difference. but some things sort of stay the same!

• Lucifer discussion

The Constantine and Lucifer relationship being like Shifu and Tai is wild but I understand perfectly i think (love kung fu panda)

Constantine's parents pushed him to be this perfect heir destined to rules seven layers of Hell and protect his little sister. This destroyed his "humanity/softness" in him.

And at the end Lucifer kind of look at his son like "this is what I made of you..." and Constantine is just pissed because he just want his dad, the king, to be proud of him even if he is not a dreamer like him, even if he is harsher now. And Constantine would be repeating his words like "yes this is what you made of me !" *voice broke, tail lashes in anger*

But actually the family just want to be great again but like there is some problems to solve first (like problems that can be solve with therapy and others like Roo ahah).

And Lucifer just need some damn time, his life is like running a school full of psychopaths kids and nothings goes as he plans and Lilith is not there to keep him straight and his son is something so great he is surprise that his education worked perhaps too well and his daughter wants to redeemed the damn psychopaths kids.

Hell yes ! YEESSS ! I love the new white and black and gold outfit too ! I just imagine him with a crazy scientist blouse but like with gold ahaha. • Eve/Roo and Lilith

I think Lilith and Lucifer knows Roo, the embodiment of evil, the corruption, but I don't know if they know that Eve is the host of Roo at the moment (and its probably what surprise Lilith when she saw her little sister after 10 000 years and its the surprise that make her lost her battle and be emprisonned) i dont know if that make sense ?

Roo/Eve is definitely very strong, for sure ! In the ff, Abaddon is her guardian and needs to keep her in his womb/Hell but perhaps Roo find a way to go on Earth with already crazy human and corrupted them more like Alastor maybe ? But herself she can't get out of Hell, just part of her like a illness.

Poor Eve, she is so sweet (I love your design of her) and so damaged and in the ff very cursed. But she still try to fight, as we saw in the short story she can sometimes find consciousness again. So she is still redeemable under all the corruption of Roo who tries to keep her in control most of the time.

Yes, I wasn't planning on killing Valentino, it's exactly like he has Stage 4 cancer.He will suffer with poison, just like he made Angel suffer for years.He will wish to die But he won't die.

In that arc, at first I thought that Angel would stand against Valentino and then Husk would intervene in the incident. Charlie was getting there at the climax of the incident.I did want to do this because Angel wasn't a baby who needed to be saved, he was on his own for his own freedom. Only Charlie will be the one to break the chains so he can move and defend himself. And Charlie wanted Angel to choose the punishment of valentino too

So Valentino's punishment was Angle's decision.

I think I like the alternative an lot!! It'll be kind of like a decaying man, Valentino won't die , and if we need him we can use him again, if not, we can prepare the fire.

I think it makes sense because if Roo/Eve hasn't come and talked to Lucifer before, I don't think they would know that Roo's host is Eve.

At the moment, I really like acrylic paint (I haven't done a real painting, just using it to color paper. But I do like the process of mixing colors on a palette, and to a degree, I find the process of cleaning brushes soothing. In terms of food, maybe it's just the humidity, but for whatever reason, I've been really craving anything salty (preferably seasoned with MSG), but salty cheeses and chips are always on the mind....

At the time I got this ask, I had wrapped up some business with the bank. Earlier in the day was also fiddling around with making patterned paper, but it was quite humid so the sharpie kind of smudged more than I was expecting... Not a bad way to spend the day off. At the given moment my day just started and work is just getting the ball rolling, though so far nothing for me to specifically to do since a lot of other things need to be done before I can get my hands on the load.

As for fandom....

In general, I feel like overall fandom seems a bit more hostile than usual. There's always some hostile people in fandom, but I think over the years, but it spiked starting in like 2016 and then snowballed in 2020. I think it's less obvious on tumblr and twitter tends to bring the anger out in everyone... but from my observations it feels extremely suffocating as the days pass....I have an understand how it came about, but it does feel...worrying.

For something specific, this is mostly because I finished replaying th fan translations of the second Investigations game, I do feel like Eddie Fender got the short end of the stick in terms of depth.

My general impression of him is that he's a guy who doesn't really like professionalism/decorum and tries to keep everything casual and laid back. In theory, this is an interesting character trait, because it would help him with investigations, like, in the sense of trying to calm down his client or witnesses who are all over the place emotionally. But this concept doesn't really show up despite his theme and his overall design hinting this. He does explicitly state that he thinks Miles can be too uptight and then the rest of the cast thinks he's not serious enough, so I kind of wished he had a chance to use his approach actually be fruitful rather than a punchline (in game he's just remembered for him casually flirting with everyone, and I got tired of the bit after a while).

This was a complaint(?) I had the first time I played the game, but I do think that it would have been good moment if Eddie actually offered a hug to Eustace in the fourth or fifth case, and thus, making use of one of his "gags" and actually used for something serious. I still have this feeling after replaying it again...

Idk about trusting Z, the record speaks for itself// I’m not just talking about romantic relationships I’m talking about her relationship with coworkers (Sam L), friends (Hunter), partners (Trevor&JE), Family. So, in some way, I can see why you are on the opinion you are, but not gonna lie, I like both Dominik and Mo as players and inviduals both, so it's hard for me to take a stand on this.

I do agree that these two, as of now, didn't not exactly found the chemistry with each other on the pitch. Or not entirely, at least. I have some criticism of Dominik being selfish with taking a few shots in the last game, which I found really harsh considering 1. it was clearly Klopp's instruction, as Dominik has one of the best shooting techniques, 2. sometimes he is still left out from clear chances as well, while so far he played very selflessly.

The thing about Mo, if there is any criticism he got in the recent years, it's not passing enough to his teammates. It happened with Lucho, it was brought up last year as well sometimes with Darwin, now I have seen it with in the case of Dominik. All bias aside, I do think it's valid criticism. Mo is a fantastic player, with a huge legacy, but even I noticed how usually he would rather take risky chances than pass the ball, for example this season, to Dominik.

Should be noted that Dominik is the new guy tho. He has been in LFC, for like three months, while Salah is, and has been for a while, the best and most accomplished, most popular player in LFC. He is very hard-working, competitive, he still wants to be the best, do his best. Especially how basically everybody is convienced it's his last season, I can totally understand how he is eager to break his own records, uphold his legacy and again, just be the world class player he is. Just like Dominik is eager to prove himself, start to build up his own legacy as well.

Then there is Dominik, who let's be honest, got into the club in July, played in like 10 matches and already has most of our fans calling him Stevie G come again. Also, I think their personalities are just far different. Mo appears to be more humble, laid back (while obviously still having that hunger in him), while Dominik just gives off this so unashamed confident vibe about himself.

I wouldn't say he is jealous of him. Honestly, I think Mo, so far, has nothing to be jealous of Dominik. But the point about him having to accept that he will leave Liverpool one day and not compete at the highest level, yeah I can see that.

So yeah, I don't think they will be best friends any time soon, but doubt there is any malicious intent other than natural competiviness of two great players. Domi only been here for a few months, it's just easy to forgot about it, because he has been so great, but it's only natural that to crave out his place in team would take time, especially with players such as Mo.

However, I will say this: the media is clearly not helping these two bond. I have noticed how they keep asking Dominik about Mo, sometimes very weird stuff, as if they almost want to create something out of nothing. Just this last Saturday, Dominik got asked basically if he thought Mo had a poor game. He handled it very well, but if they keep this up it's only time they found something to feed these agenda lol.

It was called Chinese Resturant Syndrome because it basically was only happening to people after they ate at Chinese resturants†. It's called… cause and effect. It wasn't understood then, all that was vaguelly understood was "some people claim to suffer these listed symptoms after eating Chinese food", followed with, "the biggest difference between Chinese food and non-Chinese food is MSG". Hence, the name for the symptoms caught on. Then a bunch of really shite studies were performed which is what really caused the wave of panic in the late 80s to mid 90s… which, is when "No MSG" started showing up on labels and in some Chinese restaurant windows (which, if you emplyed a moment a logic, would tell you, it wasn't racism, it was 'anti-MSG' sentiment). Meanwhile, MSG was openly advertised and sold on shelves, and sold like hotcakes, because the majority of consumers do not care about anything other than "taste gud". † Because in the 50s-60s it became popular, around the world, for Chinese food resturants to add MSG into their dishes to increase the flavour profile. If it had been Thai resturants or Indian resturants, it would have been called "Thai or Indian resturant syndrome".

Why do I "know" this? Because I strongly doubt that the doctor who coined the term in his initial letter, Dr. Robert Ho Man Kwok, was racist against Chinese people… being, himself, Chinese. His initial letter that spurred this even differentiated between the type of Chinese food restaurants that was affecting him, stating it was "americanized Northern Chinese food restaurants".

Also, there are reports of CRS from Britain and India in the 70s and 80s.

And yes, over teh years there have been more and more large and properly conducted studies, slowly debunking the early shoddy studies and even narrowing down what about MSGs might be causing some people to be affected. More study is however, needed.
