How did you get into Fire Emblem? i saw nat's celica pfp and thought it was georgia from hm:tot then went from there
What Fire Emblem games have you played? none!! for a large majority of my experience - though i have actually played sov, 3houses, and started engage

Do you think you have a type of character you gravitate towards? yes... soft girls, cheery girls, moody bois (though this one has taken a bit of a backseat); plus the occasional outliers like the more stoic ones or cheekier ones
What do you believe you enjoy writing the most? after writing lilina for quite a few months, i've been really having fun with the short, snappy interactions that can be a little silly... reliving teen years in a sense...
Favorite TOA-related memory: out of character - any events like watching on rocky horror picture show halloween and karaoke; in character - i really enjoyed more recently the member run event harmonia (blows a kiss to tsu and n)
How do you pronounce TOA? tee-oh-ay
Got any delusions that didn’t see the light of day in TOA that you’d like to share? [redacted], [redacted], i always think about bringing mareeta or homer because each of them have very fun things to explore especially with the explosion of jugdral muses. i have also toyed with the idea of minerva with a michalis and maria here as well. i've thought about berkut so many times, but.. maybe one day. and many others who just haven't surfaced on the internet.

💥 COLLISON - what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?
i've always thought that between her and her siblings, maria lacks for strength and all that, but in exchange, she's the one who deals with and processes her emotions the best, both as something natural to her and something she works towards actively. expressions of love and all things warm and gentle are her bread and butter; on the other hand, for all that she can try to mentally prepare herself for dealing with overwhelming negative emotions, it's another thing entirely to experience it. frustration, fear, sorrow -- they're not unfamiliar, but they change so much with every circumstance. it's very important to her that she takes time to understand how she feels and work through it!
that being said, i think she has an odd relationship with grief, being that it is familiar and yet not. her first personal experience with it would be when her father died when she was very young, but a lot of things happened after that and before she was fully able to grasp what death and being dead meant. (in my hc) neither was osmond as close to her as her siblings are, nor did he see her nearly as frequently, so when he died and macedon was thrown into chaos, the understanding of it she developed was sort of... distant. framed in terms of her siblings' grief (...or, though she didn't know it then, guilt) and what she could do for them to make it better, until later, when she eventually had a whole lot of time on her hands to think and reflect etc etc etc, she worked it out more for herself -- enough to feel it, but still not exactly a hands on confrontation with it.
after that, most things have worked out for her. michalis survived his duel with minerva, and she herself survived almost being sacrificed to medeus; except for the obvious villains, most people who were lost were all many degrees separated from her. then, come her time in TOA, every death she's experienced since has been undone -- including her own! and though she as a healer knows the severity of death, right now she's being forced to reacquaint herself with it, revalue it, and properly reshape that sort of enduring belief that everything will turn out okay. for the first time in a very long time, it wasn't okay. (Keras Kai Elephas) aphie died -- or rather, she's probably been dead for a very long time. it wasn't something maria could fix, not by prayer or hope or action, and it's not something anything is going to undo... probably.
it's also through aphie's death that she feels horrified to think she might have cheapened the weight of death in her mind before this, even unintentionally. has she? does she? she didn't think so before, but what if? she thinks she might have grown used to death being temporary, to everything just... working out, and that scares her.
tl ; dr -- she takes feelings & emotions very seriously! and in general has a healthy relationship with them. that being said, she's unfamiliar with grief and having gone through so many lore events, she's recently very worriedly reevaluating herself and how she handles death. to borrow a quote, she's someone who wants to ensure that each emotion weighs as it should.

[ Archanea ] - An old minuet originating from the Kingdom of Archanea, a true classic that has stood the test of time. Due to its difficulty, successfully executing the dance is an achievement in and of itself.
It was deemed in that way implicating ignorance to patriotic histories whereupon there once flew liberated banners of a myriad of self-wrought nations, liberated by one's own sanguine glove ; to deem it merely Archanea's splendor of footwork is to forget blood in yellowing annals of history ―― that which stained faded pages in the wake of a war-enduring scholar's fall. To deem it merely of Archanea was to forget what came before ―― to forget wetland Altea, iron-forging Macedon, Sable-Guarded Grust.
It was to acknowledge ( arrogantly ) one king over the many fallen. ( Ah, but who was he to mourn this ignorance, father-murderer ? Tainted by the garnet ichor of regicide. )
"Altean," Whelp, dog ―― derogatory epithets eternally bound to his tongue, never loosed upon his foe-ally. "Archanean," There was, in one's continental patriotism ( for which there blossomed no love in his heart ) an acknowledgment: that he, too, was by technicalities Archanean. But not wholly as azure incarnate before him, for before him was King Archanea ( that swine-bred lot to forsake proud Macedon ―― not that azure was a puppet to fate then. )
"King Archanea," A hand is offered, but not in truce ―― he could not permit that which was so sought after so soon. Not to the man before him. "It would befit your golden crown that you knew this one. Entertain me."
𝕸ɪᴄʜᴀʟɪꜱ ɪꜱ ꜰɪʀᴇ !
The press of his lips join together at imposing footsteps, yet before the suggestive slivers of a frown can fully take root it cedes to a smile. Almost as if the fiery Macedonian before him were a presence he expected to see, or wanted to see. That they would cross paths on this night at least is a fact that reigns with certainty; even if Michalis failed to make his greetings, Marth would have sought for him, instead. Such would be his nature- the welcoming overtures he extends in the name of friendship, and particularly, even, for this largely uncertain one.
The treatment he offered for his former enemy had long since lost its hard edge, if it ever existed at all. In its place fledged a kindly nod of agreement, hand slipping into the equally firm specimen before him. Having danced with a number of court ladies, the tough callouses of a wyvern-knight were less acquainted but still familiar. Only a hair shy of the feeling of his own.
"Lord Michalis, of course. I would be pleased to do so. You need only follow my lead." Infinitely pleased at that, one could say that the Hero-King's sunny smile never wavers; a humorous inverse to the stoic expression worn by his partner. Like the grand banner unfurled of an opening ceremony or a parade, the vine cord on his neck flowers with flame now into a true garland. A discovery he pays no mind.
Taking position in their row of dancers opposite one another, the first strings of the minuet curl waists and bend knees, leading next into a complicated medley of steps which Marth is certain to enunciate with his movements. Preceding every complicated maneuver with a careful glance, between the breaths and minute pauses is the window of opportunity to converse.
"Altea and Archanea have been stalwart allies since the dawn of my kingdom—" Step in- step out- bow and turn. Rinse and repeat. "—though it has been a considerable while since I last danced this routine, my body still remembers the steps from childhood."
Another whir and turn arrives, pivoting them around with their joined palms as the axis, and to Marth's surprise, the very final one. Now standing before the taller man to a distinct lack of song, he straightens with his arms falling to his sides. "You said it would befit me to know the dance of the Archanean kingdom. This is true, Michalis, but I wish to learn others as well—or rather, now I must." For a smile that never wanes, it waxes now with a faint note of hope. "Next time, perhaps you can teach me the Macedonian court dance."

future child. (michalis x reader)
anon asked: “I'm liking the idea of Michalis, meeting his future kid with summoner...whose not only a girl (whelp goodbye firstborn son and heir), but also rides a cute lil pegasus too and is ironically scared of wyverns. (it'd be nice if you could whip up a scenario/headcanon for this, but if not that's fine too..i just needed to get this off my chest bc its simply too cute)”
a/n: haha i’m glad y’all seem to like this... series of sorts ^^ the only difficult part is coming up w “fire emblem” names for the kiddos rip! --mod touko
also (i feel like i always put an ‘also’ on my posts bc i never shut up lmao!) i got fe: warriors this weekend and just finished the main story! it was aight tho the best part about it is unlocking f!robin she’s so pretty aaaa!!!
other “future child” stories: alfonse // sharena \\ fjorm & gunnthra // loki
you had always had a fascination with the stars. they were the one thing constant in both your world and in askr -- and despite the different constellations, you could always look up at the maps in the sky and make up stories for the different shapes you would pick out. of course, alfonse would tell you what each constellation meant, but you found the stories in your head were much more interesting then the actual explanation for them.
the one story you loved, though, was the story of the goddess of night, celeste. doomed to be forever separated from her lover, the goddess of the daytime, she weeps every night, the tears falling from her face and creating the beautiful formations in the sky to lead other lovers safely home, so they don’t suffer the same fate. it was oddly beautiful, in a way most tragedies are.
you’re thankful for your love of the night, as it let you meet her.
just as the goddesses tears light the night, so does she as she falls to the earth, hurtling towards it like a comet. you quickly jump up, going to help the girl who’s passed out inside of a crater on the ground.
“are you okay?” you ask, though the answer is fairly obvious. she just fell from the sky, of course she wasn’t alright. the girl, thankfully, can stand, and she gets up weakly, looking around as if in a daze.
“where am i?” she asks, holding her head, her voice barely a whisper. her clothes are torn, and she holds her arms close to her chest, her breath visible because of the cold. “w-who are you?” she scrunches her face up, and limps towards you. you lunge forward and grab her arms, making sure she’s fit to stand, inspecting her face closely.
you can tell she’s a bit younger than you, maybe by a few years, but there are dark circles under her eyes. her bright red hair is cut at her chin, [eye color] eyes dull and devoid of warmth.
“i’m [name], i’m the tactician and summoner of the army of askr... i could ask the same to you... what is your name?” she grits her teeth, looking to the left as if trying to rack her own brain of thoughts, but ultimately finds nothing. she grips onto you as if trying to steady whatever was going on in her mind. you wrap an arm around her shoulder, taking out breidablik and summoning a portal back to the castle.
“i-i’m not sure... i don’t remember anything.” you look at her, searching her eyes and seeing nothing but sincerity. you smile softly, making a stupid decision to trust this stranger who could easily kill you. studying the freckles on her face, you realize that some look like your favorite constellation.
   “can i call you celeste?”
celeste quickly falls asleep under the care of the healers working the night shift, who just happened to be mist and sakura. they assured you that she would be fine in the morning, she only had a few scrapes and a dislocated ankle (nothing a stave couldn’t fix), so you could turn in for the night. despite their words, though, you couldn’t bring yourself to fall asleep when you had so many questions about this girl. so, you resign yourself to sitting by the door, waiting for her to wake up.
it’d been a few weeks since celeste crash landed in askr. she still didn’t have her memories back, but was quickly becoming very attached to you. not that you minded, she was a total sweetheart who loved animals viewed the world with wide-eyed optimism. she even got herself a pegasus and started training to become a pegasus knight, with some help from caeda. she seemed to be naturally talented with a lance. (you suspected that she might’ve been a pegasus knight before she lost her memories, but nothing was certain).
“isn’t she adorable?” you ask, watching her train from afar. michalis lowers his head, crossing his arms. “she’s growing into such a strong young woman already, despite only being here for week. i wish i had resolve like that.” you let out an airy laugh, the macedonian king seemingly listening to you, but his eyes focused straight ahead.
“children should not be utilized on the battlefield.” he says, eyes flickering down to look at you, “leave the fighting to the strong ones.” you hum, opening the small journal in your pocket where you keep notes on the units.
“you’re right,” you reply, flipping to a page where you had kept notes on michalis. “children have to grow up far too fast here, i mean, kana and sanaki are barely even teenagers and yet they have to fight. it’s cruel.” you doodle yet another drawing of the red-haired wyvern rider, this time smiling and happy with little flowers surrounding him. he takes notice, and doesn’t seem too amused, but says nothing of it. “did you train as a child, too?” michalis merely nods, obviously not wanting to share that part of him with you just yet. you knew not to press him, as he opened up to you little by little, and pestering only made him close up more.
“[name]!” you hear celeste call, bounding over to the two of you, with a grin stretching from ear to ear. she jumps into your arms, heaving trying to catch her breath, but still beaming nonetheless.
“i’m getting so much better! miss caeda is SUCH a good teacher! i think i’m almost ready to be on the front lines, what do you say, mother?” she says, so excited that the words come so fast you can hardly keep up.
“i don’t think you’re ready qu-- wait, i’m sorry, what did you just call me?” you question, and see michalis shift beside you. the first thing that comes to your mind is that this is probably just a slip up, like calling a teacher ‘mom’ on accident, but she just smiles in response, confident in her words.
“nope! as i was training, i think some of my memories came back to me!” she’s practically bouncing, shifting from heel to heel with nervous energy. “i saw a glimpse of you helping me get over my fear of wyverns, telling me something about how you used to fear them, then you met someone who helped you get over that fear!” she giggles, and you feel your heart hammer in your chest. you knew exactly who she was talking about, but your feelings for him weren’t up in the air yet. you glance at him, and his frown deepens, as he turns on a heel and leaves. your heart is telling you to follow him, but you couldn’t leave your daughter hanging.
forcing a nervous smile, you say: “please, tell me more.”
word travels fast around the castle, the news of celeste being your daughter being the topic of everyone’s conversations. chrom had offered you a few words of advice, as he was one of the few people who could relate to your situation, and you were grateful for that.
though, the speculations about who was the baby’s other parent were rampant as well. since celeste had red hair, it seemed every hero with a streak of red in their hair was rumored to be your “future spouse”. some heroes didn’t mind, such as the fearsome tactician saias and the candy thief gaius, but others, minerva, anna, and cordelia, quickly shot down these rumors, as though they did enjoy the summoner’s company, it was merely a platonic relationship between you two.
deep down, you knew who it was. it couldn’t be anyone else, you were sure of it, but you couldn’t seem to tell him. it’s only when celeste falls off her pegasus and bumps her head that she remembers herself.
“it’s michalis!” she laughs, almost maniacally. “my father is michalis! we have to tell him at-- ouch.” celeste winces, rubbing her head. you tell the girl to go to the healers while you took care of the matter yourself, (half because you didn’t know how he would react, and it would kill you if he denied her), and she acquiesces.
“michalis?” you knock on his door, anxiety swelling with each tap you make. you hear him respond with a quiet yes. “may i come in?” he doesn’t answer, and you know that means you can.
“what is it?” he responds sharply, not even bothering to look up at you as he scans through some war book at his desk. you clench your jaw, not knowing how to bring up the topic at hand. usually, you always knew what to say, but words often failed you when you needed them most. letting out a deep breath, you decide that it’s now or never.
“it’s about celeste, you--” he cuts you off mid-sentence.
“if it’s about who her father is, i couldn’t care less.” his voice is icy in a way you hadn’t heard since when you first met him.
   “no, just--”
“oh, you haven’t found out yet? the list must be very long considering that you flirt with half of the army.” your eyes water, gods, he always knew just the right words to say to make someone hurt, you just never thought it would be directed at you. he didn’t mean it, your brain told you, he’s just hurt and trying to push you away like he does with everyone else, but it still stings that he would think of you that way. you hadn’t flirted with anyone but him for the longest while, he was just too much of a recluse to notice. it’s then he finally glances at you, noticing that you’re holding back tears.
“you’re such a dastard michalis.” you curse, tears flowing down your cheeks freely, “i was coming here to tell you that you’re her father.” you want to yell at him, want to make him hurt as much as he made you hurt, but you can’t bring yourself to. instead, you add in a small voice: “i should’ve listened to minerva about you.” and then you leave, slamming the door behind you.
michalis is left with the same feeling that he had after using his sister, maria for a bargaining chip. complete and utter disgust with himself.
“you!” celeste yells, flying her pegasus in front of michalis to block his path. she quickly dismounts, standing in front of him defiantly, chest puffed out and a stubborn expression on her face. even in the darkness, he could see the resemblances to you, as you always made when he would first tell you to leave him alone. “you made my mother cry! why would you do that you jerk!” despite the fierceness in her voice, her eyes look scared.
“i know,” he responds, voice barely above a whisper. “where do you think i was going, child?”
“i don’t think she even wants to see you!” celeste replies, her pegasus glaring at him behind her. despite her words, he continues across the courtyard to the hall where your room was. “hey! are you even listening to me!” she follows quickly, the only noise besides their voices being the soft flap of her pegasus’s wings.
“i don’t care, i need to right my wrongs.” he answers, ignoring her words of warning. of course you wouldn’t want to see him, he was utterly rude to the only person who cared enough to be nice to him despite his cold demeanor (save maria), but he had to see you. what he did to his family was unforgivable, and that damage could never be repaired, but he could mend relations with you, his one beam of warmth in his otherwise frigid world.
“i don’t know what you were like in my world, but...” she trails off, “i don’t want you to hurt my mother because you don’t want me.” he’s stunned into silence, the small girl looking towards the ground, eyes watering and sniffling as if to hold back a sob. michalis mentally curses, wondering what good deed he did in some previous life to warrant him this lucky of a hand, because he was sure that he’s done nothing good in his life to deserve the love of not only you, but of this angel, celeste, whom he’s never shown kindness to in the months she’s been here. he wishes he was maria, or even minerva who, though blunt, was much kinder than he.
“you think i do not want you?” he says, clearing his throat, trying for once to say what was truly in his heart. “nothing could be further from the truth.” celeste breaks, freely sobbing as she lunges at michalis, clinging to his midsection.
“oh father!” she says inbetween sobs, “i love you!” he’s frozen in place, not used to this type of affection except from maria. he puts a tentative hand on the top of her head, slowly patting her hair.
“yes. now, let’s go find your mother.” celeste quickly reels back, quickly wiping her face off and forcing a smile.
“yes! but don’t think you’re off the hook just yet!” she giggles, eyes puffy and red, “i’m still mad at you!”

the girl with the pink ribbon
Another random drabble.
Fic: "the girl with the pink ribbon" [FFN] [AO3]
Pairings/Characters: pre-Luca Caruso/Alice Tolipan
Rating: K
Words: ~900
Additional info: romance, Maydayverse, Harry's era, 3rd person POV
Summary: They're just first years, but a random thought of Luca's might be the start of something new.
They met on the train, as so many students do.
He landed a compartment with a pair of brothers and some dark-haired girl. Then she came in, and another boy followed not long after.
To Luca Michali Caruso, the people didn't really matter to him. If he made friends at Hogwarts, then good. If he had to wait until he joined a House, then whatever. If he had to wait until after his education was complete, then he could manage.
The brothers sitting across from him weren't very interesting, but they at least were amusing. They seemed to be nothing but excited about everything. Meanwhile, the dark-haired girl appeared to be the older brother's companion, and she seemed used to at least her friend's personality.
The other boy who joined them chatted when needed but wasn't entirely talkative. But the slight girl sitting to Luca's right was polite and sweet.
"I'm Alice Tolipan," she told him.
"Luca Caruso," he said. He furtively eyed her. She was tiny, and not just short. Her complexion was average and her hair was a dim yet shiny blond. On her left side, she had a pink ribbon plaited through a chunk of her hair. He thought that was very different compared to what he saw all the other girls do.
               "Are you excited for Hogwarts?"
He shrugged. "I don't care either way. I always knew I'd be going."
"Yes, but," she said, his dark-haired, pale-eyed image reflecting in her stone-colored eyes, "there has to be some excitement, don't you think? I mean, Hogwarts! We'll get to learn so much! And maybe Madam Hooch will do a better job of teaching me to fly than my mum." She rolled her eyes a bit, and he got the feeling that that didn't quite match up with her initial polite qualities.
               Alice Tolipan definitely was amusing.
She managed to keep him talking for the duration of the trip, which was a feat in and of itself. By the time they reached the school, Luca felt a little more open to the concept of friends, and they joined the other boy who was their age and the younger brother in one of the boats up to the school.
Alice held the torch for their boat along with Luca. The ride was generally fine until they reached land. The younger brother was the last one out of the boat, and he capsized. He was rescued by the Giant Squid in the Black Lake, however, so he was fine.
Alice giggled at that, and Luca cracked a smile. Maybe Hogwarts would be more than okay.
The Sorting happened, and Luca ended up in Gryffindor with Squid-boy—er, Dennis Creevey—and Nigel Wolpert, their other train ride companion. Alice, on the other hand, went to Hufflepuff, and Luca couldn't fight the tiny frown he had at the announcement. It was harder for people to stay friends with those outside their House.
But Alice didn't let that stop them. She got along with her roommates, but she spent much of her time with Luca, Nigel, and Dennis, and with Luca even when the other two weren't around.
They seemed to be the only students who didn't really care that the Triwizard Tournament was happening at Hogwarts. Alice didn't have an eye for the Durmstrang lot and Luca could care less about the Beauxbatons bevy. In fact, they didn't even participate in the Potter–Diggory rivalry.
"I almost wish we could have a normal school year instead of this," she told him as they played Gobstones in the Gryffindor common room. He often let her in there, and no one seemed to mind.
"I'll give you that," he agreed. "At least Christmas is coming up."
"Yes, but so is that Yule Ball," Alice muttered.
Luca glanced at her, but her eyes were focused on the game. "I think it's a load of rubbish."
The witch sighed and nodded. "Yes, you're probably right." She stood and stretched and went to one of the windows. She crossed her arms and rested them on the windowsill, leaning on the cold stone of the castle. "Not to mention that we're not old enough to go. Although, who wants to dress up in frilly gowns and starched shirts and dance until their feet ache?"
Luca had always fancied himself mature for his age, if much could be said for a mature eleven-year-old. But he felt exactly like a pre-adolescent boy in that moment. And why did he feel that way?
Because he saw Alice Vanessa Tolipan standing at the window in his common room, pausing playing Gobstones with him, and thinking aloud for him to hear. She stood in her wrinkled uniform decorated in yellow and black, with her eyes half closed and her nose turning red from the coolness of the window's glass. She turned her head, giving him a smile that he understood he liked very much, and her hair swung, pink ribbon floating freely and teasingly.
And Luca knew that friends and dances and Hogwarts and witches…well, one certain witch…mattered.
               They more than mattered.
And the girl with the pink ribbon certainly more than mattered.
But Luca pinched himself. "Come on, let's play," he said, changing the subject and summoning her back to the game. Because he also felt that it was too early to think that far into the future….
:3 Considering all the angst I've recently written, I REALLY needed to write something fluffy, and this was! Their friendship's cute to me, and they're together in my headcanon, yup. Some of the early description about their meeting comes from my fic, "Different." Lastly, Luca and Alice were in the D.A., which is why we have their names but nothing much else about them, so their descriptions and Houses are of my own making. Not to worry, though! I'll deffo be writing more of them, not to mention that they'll be popping up in my other fics now, too. Haha, Luca as friends with Dennis and Nigel…too cute! X3 And Rose Zeller was mentioned! Yay…! Hooray for minor charries! XD
Thanks for reading, and feel free to leave an anon/unsigned review via the FFN link or comment via the AO3 link at the top of the post, especially if you enjoyed this!
~mew
2017 note: Barely anything to edit here, coming back to this 2013 fic. Tho, I have to say, I had to fix something in my old A/N, because I consider both this fic and "Different" to be Maydayverse fics (my overall headcanon). Ahhh, I've doodled Lucalice a bit, but I rly want to write them more. =w=

Hello! Can I have fluffy and smutty headcanons on michalis with a fem!summoner who's bubbly, sweet and silly and basically the complete opposite of him? Thanks in advance!!
Here you go lovely! Sorry no nsfw headacnons this time, I drew a complete blank when trying to write them and didn’t want to leave you without an answer for too long!
- To be truthful, the relationship confuses just about anyone in the Order of Heroes. Michalis and the Summoner are the embodiment of the “someone will die.” “of fun!” meme.
- That said, many also find it endearing, especially with Michalis standing tall and stoic while the Summoner has her arm looped around his and is chatting and dragging him off to have a picnic date.
- While the Summoner’s sunny disposition initially grated him, he eventually came to appreciate it and welcome it much like he appreciates those qualities in Maria. It baffles him at first, when he realizes he fell in love, but in hindsight believes it’s obvious he would fall for someone so kind and sweet.
- The Summoner’s silliness still frustrates at times, especially when he’s planning how to conquer different worlds and asks for her input in strategies, only for the Summoner’s answers to be completely off the wall and ridiculous. However, he accepts this silliness as part of her and sometimes she can even get a chuckle out of him!
- Maria adores the Summoner, hands down. Minerva is more wary and even tried to warn her, but she relents when she sees that Michalis is serious about his feelings.

New Mystery of the Emblem is complete, and I have many thoughts.
Let’s just start with this: holy shit this was so much more fun than Shadow Dragon.  For three major reasons:
No one is expected to die.  Shadow Dragon bothered me immediately, because I’m required to let someone die in the prologue to escape.  That sucks, and I hated it.  I have never gotten over that, or the expectation to kill more units to access the bonus chapters.  Which, sure, you can argue are optional.  But those characters appear in this game and are recognized, so clearly those happened now didn’t they?!
SUPPORT CONVERSATIONS!  Okay, they’re not like...actual support conversations.  They’re Radiant Dawn style, where you have conversations with allies at your base and only your base.  But there’s a tier of 1-3 for most characters, and they’re essentially support conversations, and god Shadow Dragon was impossible to get in to without those.  Seriously, I may enjoy the gameplay of Fire Emblem overall, but I do not enjoy units for combat performance, I enjoy them for being characters, and thank god they feel like characters this time.
Actually interesting story.  Shadow Dragon was pretty boring, frankly.  Very basic concepts presented, not really a lot going on.  But New Mystery actually expands on a lot of this stuff.  I’ll get into that more below.
Suffice to say, I really enjoyed it more than Shadow Dragon.  I think in terms of ranking, I’d definitely place it above Shadow Dragon, Birthright, Revelation, and Sacred Stones.  Currently I think I’m putting it above Conquest too.  While Conquest is similarly fun to play, New Mystery has the benefit of being more interesting as a story.  I’m hesitant to put it over Echoes, though.  Listen, Echoes sucks as a game.  It’s really not fun to play, almost at all.  New Mystery is fun to play, so this should be obvious.  But while the story is improved, I wouldn’t put it anywhere near the level of Echoes.
See, the main thing with New Mystery is that it filled in gaps that made the world feel more organic than just generic medieval kingdom with magic and dragons and shit.  They delve into what the Fire Emblem here is, about the history of the dragons, and why, say, Tiki’s kept locked away for so long.  Also why Medeus is a villain, and out to eliminate humanity.  Turns out, he was the only Earth Dragon to listen to Naga and convert to a manakete, and even helped guard the seal over the dragons who were slowly losing their minds.  But humans, as soon as they had that advantage, exploited dragons.  Several maps showcase that these deteriorating dragons are being kept in thrall to human tribes who use their power for personal gain.  Exploitation of dragons led Medeus to despise humans, and seek to overthrow them.  Which is pretty cool!  I’m on board with that!  Tiki’s said to also be deteriorating without the seal in place, and that, as a powerful divine dragon, she’s bring ruin to the world if she weren’t contained.  So they basically kept her in stasis to avoid disaster.  Which...okay, Fallen Tiki should’ve just been that.  A feral Tiki that’s no longer all there, instead of just “Gharnef’s power is controlling her.”  Shadow Dragon’s momentarily irritable Tiki wasn’t shit compared to what they implied could happen here.
The trouble is that the game is still pretty basic.  Beyond this bit of worldbuilding, it’s still very much conflict between the kingdoms, again, all ochestrated by Gharnef, who’s working for Medeus.  Again.  They play around more with their themes and set up some cool ideas, but it’s not the most compelling of narratives by any means.  What’s also not helped is that, while support conversations exist to make characters more engaging, it’s not all of them, and not all are done well.  Some supports are just a sort of filling in the gaps.  At least, with the MU they are.  Maybe with other characters they get a bit more.
Speaking of MU, let’s divert a bit to talk about them.  Kris is like...the one MU I have heard universal hate for.  My best guess is that this is due to fans of the original FE3, who didn’t like their inclusion in the first place, because otherwise I have no idea what the problem is.  Kris seems fine.  Really boring, but fine.  The only reason they’re kinda my least favorite is because they’re supposed to be their own character but don’t do anything.  Like, Robin has a personality and is fun, and has a great dynamic with Chrom.  Corrin, for all the faults borne of Fates, feels pretty much like a typical Fire Emblem lord.  Byleth...okay, I don’t like Byleth much, I feel like their inclusion kinda hinders the game’s narrative a little bit, but otherwise they’re pretty blank and exist mostly as a support for the other lords.  But Kris...doesn’t do much of anything.  They don’t really have a dynamic with anyone, including Marth, and are just sort of...generic loyal knight with no knowledge of the world for some reason, and who only ever trained with their now dead grandfather.  Beyond that, they don’t really exude any particular personality.  Which is probably part of the problem with supports; everyone supports with Kris, but they don’t contribute much, so it’s mostly the other character doing stuff at them.  They just don’t have much to do.
With one exception.  We gotta talk about the other, presumably new character: Katarina.  I actually love Katarina.  Which is a shame, I pulled one of her in Heroes once and made her into a manual because I didn’t care.  Oh well.  Anyway, Katarina’s got a pretty solid story behind her, and is one of the more compelling pieces of the plot overall.  She’s part of a band of assassins who were orphans, taken in by Lady Eremiah.  Eremiah is super cut-throat, willing to sacrifice the lives of these children to accomplish her goals, which mostly seem to be serving Gharnef.  While Legion’s boring and lame, Clarine and Katarina are spectacular.  Clarine starts off really obnoxious, and kind of a bitch, but the chapter where she finally falls hit me pretty hard.  Katarina’s supports with Kris also give a bit more context to what had happened, particularly with the talk about how Clarine and Katarina share a birthday, because they never had one but Clarine just decided on a day and that was the end of it.  It’s a really cute dynamic you get to experience kind of in reverse.  You see how bad things have gotten, then get the history of what used to be, and why Katarina couldn’t leave.  Eremiah’s the same.  Gharnef shows up as she’s dying and reminds her of her own history.  The orphanage she worked at was burned to the ground and the children slaughtered in the last war.  In despair, Gharnef appeared and convinced her that if the children were strong, they wouldn’t die so easily, leading her to take in the next wave and train them for strength alone, all the while becoming corrupted by Gharnef’s influence.  That last part aside, pretty compelling.  I do enjoy narratives that play with the idea of kindness being manipulated to a sensible, but corrupted, conclusion.
My main problem is that Gharnef sucks.  He’s not an interesting villain at all.  He just kind of exists, and was largely motivated by getting passed over by his master when it came to who got the cool spells.  He’s a big, stinky baby man whining about not being the favorite, and I could not care less.  Yet he’s supposed to be this grand puppetmaster, of a particularly shitty puppet.  Hardin was an ally in Shadow Dragon, who became an enemy this game.  Why?  Oh, he was mad that Nyna didn’t like him back, and got super buttmad about it.  Which is honestly fair at this point, since they describe it as a depressive episode.  He gets to marry this woman he loves, only to find out she never reciprocated the feeling at all.  Feel like it’s fair to be upset.  But then Gharnef shows up and allegedly corrupts his soul with the Darksphere.  Which...okay, first?  Lame.  Second?  Why do we have that, and why does it do that?  This was a gift from Naga, why the hell is it so dangerous?  Third, super lame!  It takes away all agency Hardin had as a villain and removes it down to “oh, he was possessed.”  Which sucks, because the exact inverse happened for Michalis, and now he’s super cool!
His character arc this game was spectacular!  Showing up to take Minerva away from her captors.  Giving her refuge in the desert and helping her rendezvous with Marth?  There’s something going on, compared to last game where he was just some lame baby man who wanted power.  Minerva says Gharnef lost his hold, and Michalis is like “Oh, no, I would never bend to him.  I killed dad because we disagreed on Macedon fighting to become a major power in the world again, and he tried to have me exiled.  I did it for me, and regret nothing.”  Honestly loved that.  But when asked why he’s helping now, it turns out it’s for their sister.  He talks about how, after he was defeated, he was near death, and the first thing he saw when he came to was Maria kneeling over him, praying to the gods to save him.  He was so touched by her kindness despite his actions, that he’s now solely driven to save her as his final act.  He doesn’t regret his actions, but recognizes that he lost and needs to do something, and god damn if it’s not going to be saving his little sister.  That’s super cool!  I’m so on board with this dude now!  One of the bigger antagonists of Shadow Dragon who offered almost nothing became a big favorite in the game with a single conversation!  I feel like that encapsulates the difference between Shadow Dragon and New Mystery pretty well.
The last thing I’ll mention is gameplay.  I really enjoyed just playing this game, and I think a big component of that is because the maps are pretty short.  And yet.  They’re challenging.  There are a few that just repeatedly required me to restart the chapter, despite being maybe three turns long.  The extra chapter when you first face Legion, and it’s got the two mercenaries to the left and right of your starting position, and you can recruit both but you have to not kill them?  The map was so small they could get to just about anyone, so it was a real challenge to handle the archers with my high movement units, prevent those two from dying against the blockades to the sides, and take out the boss quickly without being swarmed.  Other times, the gimmicks were a little obnoxious.  Like Chapter 18.  You’re trying to take this one castle on the right that’s pretty well defended, but there are these super fast cav archers closing in on you from above.  You basically have one turn to get to the village on the left, so their king calls them off.  It’s a cool chapter, but I had to reset the first time, because I didn’t go into the chapter knowing that.  I put my dancer closer to the fortress, thinking I’d have to just move quickly and take out the boss to get them to back off, so Marth couldn’t reach the goal fast enough.  It’s just small things like that.
Overall, I think it’s pretty solid.  I could see playing this one again some day.  Maybe to intentionally miss one of the spheres so I can see what the bad ending is about.  But on the whole, I like it.  Still not super impressed with the characters in Marth’s game, I still feel like a lot are pretty bland (including Marth himself), but it’s a huge step up from Shadow Dragon.

So to those who may have seen I post or mention an OC i havent really made a post explaining about much. You see her constantly in my art or edits then see me call her a he at some point and its weird but i hope this post helps i try to explain. Ima bold key stuff so you dont have to read this entire thing…
Berry is my Multiverse and Multifandom oc. She began as a final fantasy xiv oc but has since also became a fire emblem oc and pokemon gen 7 oc. However her main purpose now is Fire Emblem.
In the FE world there are 3 Berries. Each very different yet appearance wise look similar. Will say briefly dark skinned, green hair, red or yellow eyes, being short, dragon themed are their common features cause I like having a oc who has my skin tone, fav color hair, off color eyes and themed from my fav mythology beasts. Anyways onto the Berries!
Tumblr media
Berry Goldsea ~ This one is not known much as she is mostly a discord only oc. In this discord this Berry is coined “Mama” as she is a time traveling dragon laguz who has a high number of children who are each another wonder friend in the discord. The fathers of them are each different men from the fire emblem games. I attempted to create an story around this but most of it i kept to myself due to this Berry being well..very thirsty…? I didnt intend her to be but after so many wanted her to be their “Mama” and they created amazing ocs from this I continued the having many lovers thing despite not liking it. I ended this oc few months ago with short story about her passing to let those who were her kids keep their ocs going with that disney mom like trope.
Ive recently brought her back as a fallen form inspired by the fallen units from fire emblem heroes. In her fallen story she feels nothing, has barely any memory of her past life, and is drawn to other cursed/corrupted people where she becomes loyal to them as well as those who seem good to dragons or kin. Valter is her current one but i plan to have 2 more encounters with more like this. She has a feral dragon form.
How do you know I am speaking or posting about this Berry? She only one with long green hair, red eyes,Purple/Pink clothing usually dresses and often will have purple flames or if not those then stuff about children or many lovers, being older looking would be referring to this Berry. Also any Corrin or Eliwood stuff with a Berry is with this one..
Tumblr media
Berry ~ This one is kinda the same yet serves only one au. She is the mother to my other fe oc Arri who is a oc child of Michalis. Here she is much more energetic and loves to dance alot.(think Tiki and Olivia combined) A incident caused her to be saved by Michalis so she return the kindness in service overtime she softens his coldness and they fall in love. Gah this one id cause my pure wholesome fluff oc so like none of that fluff i post cause im ashamed of this. I am sucker for turning a once bad person to a good or near good person with help from someone else.
She has slight lighter skin, yellow eyes, short green hair, younger looking and is a fe1style manakete not a fe9 laguz. Typically if im talking about Arri i may mention her aswell. She only has Michalis as her love and one child. This Berry is very Bollywood inspired with her clothing yet Olivia styled aswell and has an mid-east accent that she passed to Arri.
Tumblr media
Berri ~ My newest oc who I just love so much because they are semi self insert. Berri is a transmale manakete from the Altean region(now Ylisse). Have seen so much bad humans done to his kind Berri leads a mercenary like group of manaketes who help innocent kin being done bad by humans. He is 50/50 on full on trusting them but secretly likes them. He adores human men's and woman's formal/uniform attire often wearing suit vests or a random uniform he never asks what it means like maid dresses ect. He is asked by Nowi who is his friend for help during Chrom's Plegia stuff where Berri becomes great friends with Chrom and Robin. Uh yeah so like this is shameful self inserty mess but like he has a fling with Chrom before he gets married and has a child named Emissa(her name is a wip) who he hides exists since he wasn't serious with Chrom but kinda was.
While I know his gender sounds odd in this verse I hc mostly all who got to know him when he was helping the shepherds know and accepted/weren't bother by it except it confused a few more so Chrom and Maribelle but they got to know him more and overtime fully understood.(Chrom understood very well am i right? hehehehe)
Berri skin tone isnt something im set on I tend to shift between the tones of the other two Berries. He has short neck length green hair, yellow eyes, has a habit of calling humans "Sugar" as a insult yet no one considers it one, wears suit vests outfits alot and can shows up randomly in weird uniforms like maid dresses or others outfits. Also Berri is a B cup in chest im saying this cause i know its a wonder due to the other Berries being super busty. Berri doesn't bind or anything due to his manakete body not really changing for decades and the fact he wears whatever he wants to id say he is more gender neutral but he identifies as male.

Hi its ur girl bitchface69 comin at u and I was wondering if I could ask for Michalis and Narcian hcs as fathers ty ily'all
Michalis
-He seems a little stern, but that is because he is desperately trying to maintain his composure and not hug his precious babies and dote on them and spoil them
-He wants to raise them right, so he can’t afford to make them weak or soft by giving them everything their little hearts desire
-He keeps everything they make in a secret box
-He takes it out sometimes to look at all the great things his kids have done
-He often does not spend too much time at their birthday celebrations because he doesn’t want anyone to see him being emotional
-One day the kids are snooping around and they find the box and he is embarrassed to tell them that he is the one who made it
-Actually they’ve always known how much he cared for them, but they didn’t want him to be flustered about it, and they thought it funny how he would act all cold but then be super proud and gush about him to you
-Of course you told them how he really feels so they would know that their father loves them, he is just a very silly man with a strange moral code
Narcian:
-Somebody stop this man
-He was last seen walking into a clothing store with a baby wearing matching sunglasses
-When stopped for comment, he said “I will not let my child go around in one outfit like an ugly person.”
-They finally return home hours later with many bags of clothing, all of which match something Narcian owns
-He is like a suburb mom, he is catty to all the other parents and his kids are amazing and gorgeous like him, and if you think otherwise, then you can just take your casserole and leave, Sharon
-All joking aside, he loves his kids
-Of course they are lovely, they have you and him as their parents
-He will talk about them at length to anyone who stops long enough to hear
-He brags about the smallest things
-He starts to talk about them more than his own looks

A simple parcel was set upon her desk for the next lecture of authority that the two would have that Michalis would host in hopes of bettering the young lady's leadership qualities. Only, the day on which the lecture fell on, Michalis had learned, was a particularly special day for the lady, and it was near damn time he started treating others to their rightful niceties-- especially his own students.
So, resting there, upon her spot at the bench table, was a neatly folded parcel tipped with a simple card that read only in the neatest calligraphy, "For the day that is yours."
"For the pupil who both listens and learns."
Were she to ever feel inclined to peer into the parcel, there were simple intricacies of an array of crafty bracelet weaves and bands, accompanied by a small, glass flower of lilac shades and the utmost delicacy that rested inside.
It may be her birthday but Deirdre is genuinely surprised and delighted each time someone new wishes her a lovely day. She feels lighter than air knowing that so many people have thought of her.
There is a gift addressed to her left at the seat she typically sits in during Michalis's lectures. She knows she should wait until after class to indulge in opening it but she has arrived early and she is far too curious. She recognizes the handwriting immediately and her face lights up at his kind words. They truly are friends now, aren't they? That thought is even more precious than the lovely gifts so carefully nestled within.
There isn't enough time to fully unpack everything before more students begin arriving to class. She does her very best to listen and take notes during class but she is just so excited to properly thank her professor, her friend.
Deirdre waits until she is the last student in the room. It doesn't take very long as it is almost lunch. When they're finally alone, she pulls Michalis into an embrace. "Thank you professor! You have made my day even brighter! I am so thankful we have become friends!"

{ ‽ – a hug around the waist!!
‽     //     a  hug  around  the  waist  !!
THE   DAY   OF   Devotion is as much an episode for lovers as it is for the friends, siblings, and allies untold that cherish one another. Despite this sound argument, there’s still an expression of faint surprise hanging over the prince’s features as he steps backwards. Blinking at the hands linking behind his waist as he’s embraced by Macedon’s royal daughter. Of course, like many of his allies, they have built up a precious rapport from the time spent with one another in the league. Expressing affection or appreciation is not truly so unordinary an act, but perhaps at that difficult time there had been a great many barriers that deemed it a luxury.
For one; a hundred reasons for sadness coating their continent in crimson paint-strokes. Then, the climbing count of casualties, funeral pyres, and elegies that did not ever staunch. Long shadows beneath the eyes of every soul, young or old, as they watched friend upon friend fall in the struggle against Dolhr. Here is a happier time, a much happier day, and he knows the admission to be true with certitude at the warm feeling of Maria’s arms. Her bright smile untouched by blood and ballistae ash, sharing no similarities to the haunted young face he had once seen on the battlefield beside him.
Tumblr media
Marth has only ever possessed an older sister. For a moment, it felt as if he has always had a younger one. “It brings me unimaginable happiness, Maria, to see your smiling face,” He admits as he lowers himself to hug the young princess properly, pressing a knee into the ground and lending no thought to the way it sullied his clothes. “We have no such holiday in Archanea, and so.. A fine first Day of Devotion to you! I understand that Princess Minerva is not here, but know that I—and Prince Michalis—am. Let us spend it happily together with one another, this year and every year.”

future child. (soren x reader)
anon asked: “*coughs and slides a box a cookies towards you as a bribe* so uh, how about the future child thing with Soren and Summoner? I need this scenario for my emotionally distant FE husband in my life. Thank you in advance if you decide to do it!”
a/n: this is probably SO old so dskjfhsfkfd uhhh thank u to an anon for sending a prompt in for this i thought it was so cute so !!! <3 one emotionally distant husbando comin’ riiiiiight up!
alfonse // sharena \ fjorm & gunnthra // loki \ michalis // shigure \ zelgius // chrom \ ike // hrid \ ninian
quinn walks happily through the market as he searches out the right flowers to buy for his parents. time travel was something he still didn’t understand, despite veronica’s many lectures about it -- he hoped he was back in the right timeline, before any of the tragedies happened.
blush peonies, white lilies, golden sunflowers... none of them seemed like good options. he had to make a good first impression, especially with his father who he knew could be distant sometimes, even if he was loving, in his own way.
at least, with the few memories he has of him.
the purple irises make him perk up, his sharp canines exposed as he skips over to them. the memory comes as soon as it goes:
his father, dressed up for a festival, smiling at... you, his other parent as he jumps down from his horse. he looks embarrassed, and despite the angry blush on his face he shoves the flowers into your hands. no, not just any flowers, purple irises.
his rubs his temples and quickly forks over the money for the bouquet, a few pieces of gold meant nothing to him if it meant he would get to see you smile again.
“what do you mean the map is all wrong?” you say, not even bothering to give him a more nasty retort. he easily pushes you out of the way, not in a rude way, he just needed to show you what was wrong.
“i mean,” he says, dipping your pen in ink, “you’ve overlooked many aspects of the terrain we’re battling on. it’s really not like you to make frivolous errors such as these. i would hope you’re better than this.”
“i was... tired when i made this.” you cross your arms, sitting yourself up on the table.
“tired could cost people their lives!” he snaps at you. you know he’s right, and that this is just his way of showing you he cares. soren rarely tells his feelings to you outright, instead dancing around them and hoping you pick up on the meaning behind his words. knowing soren for as long as you did (and as closely as you did) makes deciphering his true feelings like second nature, as much as he denies it when you tease him. “as askr’s tactician, you can’t afford to lose even one person, because then that’s on you.”
“i know i just--” you rake a hand through your hair, “i was going to ask you for help anyways... i haven’t been resting much with having to accommodate all the new heroes and such, it’s exhausting.”
“that’s because you go over and above to do those things, you don’t have to befriend everyone in the army,” a twinge of jealousy is in his voice, sometimes he just wanted you to himself. “your job is keeping them alive, nothing more.”
quinn hears familiar voices echoing out of the war room. he was grateful that even though this wasn’t his askr, the castle layout was still familiar. he knew it like the back of his hand, as he has fleeting memories of following your big white coat around the castle, tugging at your sleeves. he smiles, puffing his chest up as he puts his face in the cracked door.
there he sees his parents, so young and full of life. you look healthy, the dark bags under your eyes still there but a bright expression even as you’re being teased by his dad. his dad looks the same as always, his stern expression and light blush etched into his mind like a tattoo.
you two seem to pay no mind to him even as he pushes his head more and more through the small hole in the door. his chest swells with anxiety, the friendly bickering between the two so familiar, but he can’t piece together the whole memory.
“if you’re going to be a creep and spy at least do it well.” soren’s sharp voice cuts through and quinn almost falls forward out of shock. “out with you!”
“soren, be nice... it’s a kid!” you tell them to come in, and he tentatively steps forward, hood masking his face as he white knuckles the bouquet of flowers in his hands. “aw, you brought flowers! are those for soren? they’re his favorites!” soren flushes, giving you the evil eye.
“t-they’re actually for both of you...” he decides now is as good a time as any as he pulls down his hood, revealing his face. you gasp, the kid’s appearance looking uncannily like the goldoan you know so well. he has short choppy green hair, parted in the middle to where you could see his brand on his forehead. his pointy teeth shine as he forces a confident smile.
“soren, i didn’t know your family was able to be summoned! why didn’t you tell me earlier?”
“...because they’re not able to?” he scoffs, “so this is obviously some bad impostor who’s trying to--”
“n-no it’s not that at all! please listen to what i have to say!” soren mutters a snide comment that quinn can’t hear before you tell him to explain himself. “i’m your...”
“out with it already!” you hit soren lightly and tell him to be kind.
   “i’m your son.”
   soren was in denial.
as soon as the words left the boy’s lips he was fighting hard back, wanting any sliver of proof he was telling the truth. it was proof enough for you that he had the same brand -- if it wasn’t soren’s kid then who’s else could he be? none of his other relatives were in askr. you had seen stranger things since your arrival in askr, so you sit back and let him run out of steam.
“soren, that’s enough.” you cut off his endless interrogation. oddly enough, the kid doesn’t even seem phased by soren’s cold behavior, instead answering every question honestly. “you can’t deny this forever. this has happened in askr before, remember robin--”
“yeah but she was married! we’re not... i don’t understand how this could--” for once, he doesn’t have anything smart to say. you beckon quinn over towards you, motioning for him to sit beside you, and he does, his feet hanging off the table as he shyly hands you the flowers. he may look like soren, but he had to have inherited all of your personality.
“it’s okay, we can talk about this more tonight,” you eye him up, giving him the stop being mean look. quinn couldn’t have been much older than eight, maybe ten at the most by his young looks. but, if he was a branded, he could be far older than you and you wouldn’t even know it. “right now, let’s just talk this out like rational adults, okay?”
soren flushes, and lets out a quiet ‘tch’, before you start gently asking quinn more about himself.
“this is... unbelievable.” soren says, pacing like a maniac back and forth in your room. “it’s just-- why me? why us? i’m not... i don’t think i even want kids.” he bites at the skin around his nails, as you roll your eyes, placing the flowers you got in a vase with water. you smile, recognizing them as the same ones soren got for you on valentine’s.
“i don’t understand this either, soren, but listen...” quinn’s soft snores echo through your messy room as he lay there curled up on your bed. “this is something we’ll have to get through together.” you walk closer to him, gently cupping his face with your hand. he scowls, cheeks hot but eventually melts into your hand.
“i’m...” he starts, screwing his eyes shut as if he’s afraid to see your reaction to his words, “i don’t know what to do... what if i...” his voice wavers, but it’s okay, because you know what he fears are. he’s still in the process of opening up to you, and you never wanted him to press himself too far, so instead you just kiss his forehead, right on the brand, before filling in the blanks for him.
“i’m scared too, i’m just as inexperienced as you are but i think if we can take on armies, then a child shouldn’t be too hard to worry about. besides, we have titania who is basically everyone’s mom to help us.”
he opens his bright, red eyes, a soft smile on his lips as he says the next words without even thinking:
   “...thank you.”

Fire Emblem Heroes: Long haired gents tier list
Edit 2: Added Joshua.
Edit: Forgot Jeorge so I added him. Thank you @animemes420 for pointing out his absence.
I haven’t seen anyone do this so I’m gonna rate all the guys with long hair and put them in a tier. I’ll do the same for the girls later today.
Warning: This is purely my opinion. Feel free to make your own tier list.
C Tier: Hoshido without Takumi
These gents have not fully mastered the long hair look and could use some more work. Of course, their hair is nice but they’ve got work to do.
Tumblr media
At the bottom, we’ve got Corrin. His hair is pretty unique but is completely outmatched by his female counterpart’s beautiful hair... And everyone else’s. 5.5/10
Tumblr media
Hinata’s got a bit of a mess going on. I’m sure it would look better down but Hinata chooses to tie it up weirdly. He should find a nicer style. 6/10
Tumblr media
Oh, Lobster Ryoma... His hair is long and fluffy but the varying lengths make it hard to wash and it probably gets stuck in his armor a lot. 6.5/10
B Tier: Normie hair
Here we have the average hair. Nothing bad or good to say, it’s average. Could be better but could be worse.
Tumblr media
Virion probably played Final Fantasy VII and was a big Sephiroth fan. Sadly, he doesn’t pull the bangs off as well as Sephiroth (who’s a top tier). 7/10
Tumblr media
Valter has potential but he doesn’t seem to brush his hair enough. Can’t blame him too much since it’s probably hard to find nice brushes where he lives. 7/10
Tumblr media
Innes’ hair is simple and practical. Nothing bad to say. 7/10
Tumblr media
Eldigan has got a beautiful hair color but minus points for the mullet. 7.5/10
Tumblr media
Simple and manly. Hawkeye’s hair makes him manly and he takes care of it. But he doesn’t seem that interested in his hair... 7.5/10
A Tier: Nice hair for everyone
Now starts the beautiful hair. These gents’ hair is above average and well taken care of.
Tumblr media
Subaki has got a nice and practical hairstyle. It’s definitely a style that suits many people. 8/10
Tumblr media
Seliph’s hairstyle kinda looks like Marth’s but longer. Beautiful hair seems to run in his mom’s side of the family. It’s a shame he didn’t get his uncle’s hair gene. 8.5/10
Tumblr media
Jakob has great hair which reflects his personality. It is well kept and noble. 9/10
Tumblr media
Leon has the luck of having natural purple hair. His hair is also practical and seems very easy to wash and dry. 9.5/10
Tumblr media
Jeorge has got beautiful long hair with a beautiful color. It’s tied so that it doesn’t get in the way. Overal it’s quite nice. 9.5/10
S Tier: Long and beautiful flowing hair
These gents have hair much better than you and I. They’ve spent time on their hair and take pride in it.
Tumblr media
Joshua’s hair is plain badass, it makes up for his Ryo face. Great color too. 10/10
Tumblr media
Navarre has got beautiful flowing hair. I don’t see any flaws in it. 10/10
Tumblr media
I couldn’t tell at first glance that Michalis had long hair because he keeps it underneath his cape. Very smart of him, he found a way to have long hair and keep it protected in battle. 10/10
Tumblr media
Karel’s hair is long. Longer than anyone else’s on this list. This doesn’t stop him from kicking ass. If you’re a great swordsman like him, no one can even touch your hair in battle. 10/10
Tumblr media
Everyone’s favorite taco/pineapple, Takumi probably has the most unique hairstyle. It looks even nicer down, it’s a shame he always keeps it tied though. It cost him the SS Tier. 10/10
SS Tier: Pretty Magical Boys
And at last, we’ve reached the top tier. These magical gents have got the best hair of all. They probably use at least one bottle of L’Oreal shampoo everytime they shower. You want their hair and they know it. Don’t touch it though, they’ll blast you with their magic. Oh, I forgot to mention something. Being a magic user and having long hair is what guarantees an SS Tier spot.
Tumblr media
When I first saw Arvis my first thought was “His hair is beautiful”. His hair has such a beautiful color and it matches his magic. His hairstyle is also amazing, I wish I could have his hair. 11/10
Tumblr media
Not putting Lucius in the SS Tier would be a crime against humanity. His hair is so beautiful and smooth. The only reason he didn’t make it into the Long Haired Gents gauntlet was that he’d destroy the competition, his hair is that beautiful. 11/10
Tumblr media
And last but not least, Ike’s boyfriend or whatever they are to each other: Soren. His hair is beautiful and his style makes it so that his hair stays in the middle of his back. It’s a great thing that his magic is wind-based, this allows for many opportunities to see his hair flow in the wind. Ike’s a lucky guy. 11/10
Now it’s time to do the girl’s version.

The Traitor’s War - Chapter 3
previous chapters: here’s 1, here’s 2
Now
As far as the eye can see, Nifl gleams white, snow sparkling under the sun…
Fjorm’s words echo to me now, as I stick my head out of our ger and watch the morning light glitter upon the soft, untouched blanket of snow covering the hills.
“She sure was right. It’s always so cold here!” I say to myself, shivering as an icy breeze washes across my face.
“About time you’re up,” I hear Ike’s voice say. I turned slightly, and find him standing over me. He stares down at me, pointedly, his arms crossed.
“Oh….sorry. Good morning!” I answer with a rueful smile. “Is Lyn out hunting already?”
“Yes,” he replies. “She spotted a herd of caribou passing by, and went off to shoot one down. We’ll need more pelts and meat if we want to last out here for a few more days until we reach Laevateinn’s camp. That lembas bread you made and brought for us is starting to run out.”
“Pah,” I answer, turning my gaze back to face the snowy ground. I cup some snow between my hands. “One bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man, they say. If we’re running out of lembas, it’s probably because you’re eating too much!” I exclaim, tossing a snowball up at his face.
Ike deftly swipes the snowball away. “You made a good decision in choosing Lyn to accompany us. She’s got great skill with that bow of hers.”
“Of course!” I reply, “When I first met her, she’d been living alone for a month out on the plains after her tribe had been slaughtered by bandits.”
“That sounds terrible,” Ike responds calmly, and looks to the horizon. Over the top of the hill, I spot Lyn and Laegjarn riding back, the latter’s wyvern with two caribou in its grasp.
We watch as they ride forward towards us.
“Hey Lyn!” I shout at her with a smile, as she nears our ger. “I was just telling Ike about how experienced you are out here!”
“You’re damn right, I am!” I hear Lyn call out cheerfully as she approaches us. “What more could you expect about the people of the plains? I’ve spent many winters with my tribe living on the steppes.”
“Truly, Lyndis, your skill is quite admirable,” Laegjarn adds. “If I would have escaped alone, my wyvern and I might not have made it.”
Lyn casts a wary glance at Laegjarn as she ties down her horse to the edge of our ger.
“So...let’s eat now!” I exclaim, trying to ease the tension. “We need to plan our next move carefully. Fliers -- Askrian fliers will be out soon, searching for us,” I pick my words carefully, not to bring up names of close friends like Florina or Elincia.
“All right.” Ike says in agreement, as he moves to help Lyn skin a caribou. Laegjarn and I begin cutting the limbs into roastable sizes, while Laegjarn’s wyvern gnaws at the second caribou ravenously.
“Just like Minerva,” I whisper softly to myself.
A bolt of blue magic lands right beside me and slices through our ger. Lyn dives for her bow, while Ike and Laegjarn draw their swords.
“They’re already here!” I yell as I grab the extra bow and quiver of arrows resting beside the now torn ger. It’s a light bow, and I’m able to fire it twice with ease
I gaze up at the sky, and find a black dot swooping towards me. “It’s Corrin,” I whisper., as I pick out the form of a wyvern. I steady my bow, nock an arrow, aim, and shoot.
My arrow finds its target, and the bikini clad flier falls from the sky.
I feel something scrape my left arm, and turn to look. A bloodied carrot lays upon the ground at my feet, and the feeling in my left arm escalates to a burning sensation.
“Get down!” Ike yells, and shoves me in order to block the next strike of the carrot dagger.
I clutch my arm while lying in the snow, and turn my face so I can see what is going on. Lyndis is shooting at someone, while dodging gronnraven attacks. It must be Camilla. Laegjarn is locked in combat in the sky against an axe wielder. I squint my eyes to make out the figures, and I can just make out the red hair of...Minerva. She’s here. I can’t believe it. My strongest flying ally...is now an enemy to me.
“Draw them together! Can you get...closer..to Lyn?” I shout at Ike, who is still fending off the attacks of….who is that?
I attempt to roll over and bring myself to a sitting position. I look down at my wound. Blood continues to pour from the gash, and my eyes widen in fear.
“Stay down, Alethia! Don’t you dare get up! You’ll bleed to death,” Ike roars back, drawing a few paces closer to my position.
I can finally see who he’s fighting. Kagero...but she flies now. And she is no longer wearing her Hoshidan clothes.
If I never summoned this type of Kagero, then how is she here? I think to myself, shivering in the cold. My fingers are sting as I try to reach my bow once more. It takes me a moment, but then I figure it out.
“Ike...that Kagero is here under a contract. She may not even be real…”
“She certainly feels real!” he shouts angrily, deflecting another carrot dagger. His arms are also covered in small nicks and scratches, marked by the few carrot daggers that managed to break past his defenses.
I gasp as I crawl forward to reach an arrow. The pain in my left arm flares with each movement. “She’s...a seasonal flier...If we can get her down, she won’t last long in the snow.”
Ike staggers after slicing a carrot dagger that bursts into poison gas. He coughs for a moment, and then straightens himself for the next attack. “Do you have a plan?”
I watch as Kagero slowly swoops in closer and closer with each dagger attack. Her final target will be me. Her swoops are like that of...a rabbit, bouncing through the air.
I attempt to lift up my bow and hold it in place with my left arm. I try to nock an arrow, but the force of the bow reverberates upon my wounded arm. Within moments, I lose the grip.
“Damn,” I whisper, clutching my arm again in pain. If I could only get one shot…
Kagero swoops down low, then high one last time, for the final, lethal strike.
“NO!”
I hear the cry of Lyndis, and an arrow flies straight through the pegasus.
The pegasus first rolls forward in the air with Kagero atop its back, then plummets toward the ground. Before it can hit the the snow, the pegasus fades into nothing. Kagero falls facefirst at our feet.
“Seize her!” I yell, and Ike immediately begins tying Kagero’s hands behind her back. Lyndis sprints forward after dismounting her horse, and helps hold Kagero down.
“Lyn...where are the other fliers? Minerva, Corrin, and Camilla? And where is Laegjarn?”
Lyn looks up at me, while forcing Kagero’s face into the snow. “I shot Camilla down while avoiding her gronnravens... you shot down Corrin’s wyvern, remember? Anyway, Corrin and Camilla were knocked out as soon as they hit the ground. I tied them up and brought them back upon my horse,” she says, motioning with her head to her steed standing a few yards away. I look, and see the two mage fliers lying unconscious beside Lyn’s steed.
“Where’s Laegjarn, Lyn?” I ask, as Ike finishes tying. Lyn stands up, and comes towards me.
“Alethia...you arm is terribly wounded,” she says, sitting down beside me. “Laegjarn is coming, she’s still fighting Minerva.”
A chill runs up my spine at the sound of Minerva’s name, and my heart sinks. Why her, of all heroes?
“Lyn...please, take me to them. I have to stop this.”
Lyn gives me a stern look. “You’re staying right here. Let me help you and Ike clean yourselves up,” she replies, and walks over to the mess our ger is in. She combs through the scraps, and manages to find our medicinal supplies that she had packed.
“Here,” Lyn says, bringing the kit near us, taking out long straps of gauze.
I let her clean and bandage up my arm, as Ike applies some to his own wounds.
[clang]
I hear the familiar sound of steel on steel, and whip my head around.
“See, I told you not to worry,” Lyn says as I spot them. Laegjarn is flying towards us, Minerva hot on her tail.
“Minerva has the Iotes Shield she took from Michalis...no arrow can pierce through it well,” I say to Lyn. “So why is Laegjarn bringing her here?”
Lyndis looks at me, dead in the eye. “So we can swarm her, of course.”
Laegjarn lands on the ground before us. “Surrender, Minerva! Your allies are here, beaten,” she declares, motioning to the tied up Kagero, Corrin, and Camilla beside the ruined ger.
“Never,” Minerva responds, sweeping low and slashing towards Laegjarn with Hauteclere. “I will never fall to a traitor!” she yells, glancing in my direction.
Laegjarn dodges the hit of the charged Hauteclere, barely, but it buys enough time for Lyndis. Deftly, Lyn aims an arrow at Minerva’s beast. The arrow lodges in the beast’s eye.
“Easy!” Minerva shouts to her screaming wyvern, only to be knocked from the air in a fell swoop by Laegjarn. The green wyvern and its renowned rider crash to the ground.
Ike and Lyn run to Minerva, and forcibly dismount her from the crazed, now half-blind green wyvern. Laegjarn and Ike push Minerva into the snow, and tie her down, while Lyn delivers one precisely aimed arrow to end the green wyvern’s suffering.
“No,” the Red Dragoon gasps softly as she hears the final cry of her beast. “How could you betray us, Alethia?”
I wince. This is war, I tell myself.
Minerva is tied and gagged, then placed beside the knocked out princesses of Nohr. Kagero is placed a bit farther from them, she watches us with a vengeful glare.
“Now,” Laegjarn begins, “What are we to do with these prisoners?”
I sigh. It’s been a while since I’ve done this, especially to such powerful heroes, but it must be done. This is war, I remind myself again.
I stand up, and stumble a bit from dizziness as Lyn steadies me. “Easy now,” she says, “you’ve lost a lot of blood.”
I walk over to Laegjarn and our hostages, Ike and Lyn at my side.
First, I face Minerva. “Lyn, place your hand on her forehead.”
Lyn obeys, and places her palm on the restless warrior’s forehead. Minerva continues to struggle and mutter curses at me beneath her gag.
“Now whisper...Life and Death,” I instruct.
Lyndis closes her eyes as she repeats those words, and her grip on Minerva’s forehead tightens. Minerva’s eyes roll back into her head as her body gives a great shudder. Lyndis begins to glow, and Minerva screams uncontrollably. Then, only silence is left as the great warrior fades into nothingness.
We repeat the ritual on Camilla and Corrin, which is much easier this time since they’re both knocked out. Ike receives Live for Bounty, and Laegjarn is bestowed with Swift Strike.
Finally, we come to Kagero. “Speed and Res Bond,” I instruct Lyn, as she moves to place her hand atop the bunny Kagero’s forehead.
“No,” Kagero says defiantly, slightly muffled by the gag, “I’ll finish this!”
Before we can act, Kagero breaks free a hand and pulls off her bunny ears headband. Immediately, she disappears, but not without leaving a cloud of poisoned smoke.
“Cover your mouth!” Lyn yells, as soon as she sees the cloud arise.
I quickly raise my hand to cover my mouth and nostrils, but the movement causes my left arm to sting painfully. I impulsively grab my wounded arm, and then see only darkness as I hit the snow.

Holiday Special: Stages of Love w/ Minerva (Shadow Dragon). Female Archer, very stubborn, loyal, doesn't take bs from anyone. Biggest Strength is that I’m willing to do whatever it takes for those I care about. My biggest weakness is that I tend to over work myself without realizing it most of the time. Hobbies include reading during free time, and writing. Likes are; The feeling of being needed, Writing, and shopping. Dislikes are; in your face people, overly sweet things, and tangled hair.
(Stages of Love w/ Minerva) Social interactions don’t phase me. When it comes to fighting on the battle field I prefer to stay behind the front lines and snipe foes to keep allies safe.
first meeting: it started on the battlefield. although you were a soldier under Minerva, you had never formally met her. she was royalty, after all, and it was your job to serve the princess regardless of what you knew of her. that very quickly changed.
despite your tendency to stay in the back, it was you who saw that Mage conjuring a spell. it was you who saw Minerva flying up ahead, taking down soldier after enemy soldier. and, thankfully, it was you who jumped out in front of everyone, putting yourself in danger, and putting an arrow through that Mage’s head. you were just doing your duty for the royal family. Minerva saw otherwise.
shortly after Minerva’s army won, she sent a page to summon you. it was an odd sight, the princess without her armor, donning the same clothes as you, sitting at a table with a modest yet seemingly delicious dinner.
“I saw what you did,” she began, pouring a glass of wine. “I was careless and I let my pride get the best of me. it was you, [Name], who saved me. and I– ah! ahah, look at me, rambling about. forgive me – I want only to talk to you. sit, take whatever is on my plate. it is the least I can offer you.”
and so talk you did. Princess Minerva always seemed so terrifying and courageous on the battlefield, yet when you sat there with her, you found that she was actually quite normal. she wanted to repay you for your kindness and wanted to get to know you better – after all, you had saved her life.
first date: shortly after that incident, you found that you had a lot in common with the princess, and Minerva thought so too. she made her feelings for you clear from the start – no beating around the bush, no flustered speech. Minerva was confident in her intentions with you. so, shortly after you met with her in her tent, she invited you to eat with her again. this time, in a much more formal setting: a dimly-lit, romantic restaurant not far where the Macedonian army had laid rest for the time being.
that night was the first time you had seen Minerva in a dress. even at the castle, she always seemed to be wearing her armor. “it is a special occasion,” she explained nonchalantly. and still, she didn’t seem the least bit uncomfortable.
although you had plenty of previous conversations with the princess both in and out of the battlefield, the scenario did seem a bit odd. Minerva was never the formal type; you knew this, everyone in Macedonia knew this. the food was good, no doubt about it (and so was the date!), but you confronted Minerva about it afterward.
finally, after seeing her be so confident in herself for so long, she confessed: “augh… was it too much? I… forgive me. I asked Maria what would be best and she recommended this. I wanted to impress you, [Name]. that is all I have wanted to do since I met you.”
first kiss: your first kiss happened the same night as the date. after Minerva admitted her feelings, she continued, “even when I am trying to impress you, you can see right through me. there is nothing I can get past you, is there [Name]?”
she chuckled, her eyes slipping away from yours. her confidence seemed to be slipping. “not many people can do that. I admire that you care so much, [Name]. never once did I think that I would ever find someone like you.” she sighed, her eyes turning back to you. “I want to bring back peace in Macedonia. I want to fix what Michalis could not. and, [Name]… I would like to do all of this with you. do you–… will you help me?”
a big request, but as a soldier, how could you say no?
Minerva grinned. her eyes seemed to get a little glassy, and suddenly, you found her arms around your neck, her lips upon yours.
first time: it happened while you were training. it was midnight, way past the time everyone had gone to sleep. although the Macedonian army was about to head into extremely dangerous territory the next morning – thus, rest would be vital – you thought otherwise. you wanted to get a head start on training; after all, the slightest mistake could lead to yours (or worse, Minerva’s) death.
she found you rather quickly. “[Name], what are you doing?” Minerva asked. you lowered your bow, turning to the princess. and there she stood, shoulder against a nearby tree. “I could hear you grunting from my tent… you’re not very quiet, you know.”
her eyes flickered to your bow, and a soft sigh came from her lips. “training at this late hour? [Name], are you insane?” you also looked at your bow, then turned back to Minerva. “please… go to sleep. I know what you’re trying to do but… I can’t risk your fatigue being your death on the battlefield. you know how much that would–… that could…” her voice trailed off.
she sighed again, approaching you. she took your shoulder in her hand, her other hand lifting your chin to face her. “please [Name], you mean the world to me…” again, her voice faded off. before you knew it, you found the hand that was on your shoulder slip, her fingers trailing down your collarbone, your breast, your hip, and finally, at the hem of your pants. “let me love you.”
you can imagine how it went from there.
first time meeting the parents: Minerva, in spite of being the crown princess of Minerva, wanted to make an excellent impression to your parents. sure, she didn’t have much to worry about – their daughter was dating the princess! – but Minerva still wanted to prove that she was a woman worth dating. she would constantly inquire you about how to respond to certain questions, what your parents were like, and the kind of things they liked. so much so that it might get annoying! yet when the day finally came, she’d pass with flying colors. then again, who couldn’t otherwise to the princess?

Summoner/Michalis C-S support
Written by  tct-psychoticnekomata
C SUPPORT
Michalis: You there! Summoner! I require your opinion on a certain matter.
(y/n): Oh, this ought to be good.
Michalis: Was that sarcasm in your voice?
(y/n): Oh, not at all, Your Majesty. How may I help you?
Michalis: Impudent… Never mind. The matter at hand involves my kingdom, Macedon. I am to understand that my sister Minerva took over in my stead, yes?
(y/n): Necessarily so, after your failure.
Michalis: They say she did not wish for the throne… Nevertheless, did she make a good queen?
(y/n): That she did, for the time that she spent upon the throne. You come from after the War of Shadows, don’t you?
Michalis: That I do. Why do you ask?
(y/n): You would have no idea of the future that has become a mere story in my world then. I would tell you, but I think I’ll just let you squirm instead.
[The Summoner leaves.]
Michalis: How dare you?! Come back here Summoner! The King of Macedon commands you elaborate!
[(y/n) and Michalis have reached support rank C.]
B SUPPORT
Michalis: Cornered you at last. Now then, Summoner, you will explain yourself! What happened after my supposed death?
(y/n): So persistant. Why should I tell you anyways? What would you gain of it?
Michalis: I will know what has become of my kingdom. Now speak, lest you lose your head.
(y/n): Wow, how threatening. And I’m sure you would make it out of here alive if you acted on such an impulse, with all the Heroes in our army. Maybe Marth would defeat you again.
Michalis: That’s…
(y/n): I suppose I’ve remained silent long enough. Another war breaks out and Gharnef is reborn. He kidnaps your youngest sister again, but it is Minerva and Marth together with their troops who save her.
Michalis: Again? But… But Maria saved me… How did she get kidnapped again?
(y/n): I forgot unfortunately. What I do know is this… you spend a good deal of time trying to find her. In some ways, you aim to repent for what you have done as Macedon’s king.
Michalis: I see… That is good. I would do anything to keep Maria safe.
(y/n): But that’s future you. The you I see right now is an arrogant fallen king clinging to his former power. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I must be off.
[The Summoner leaves.]
Michalis: They know so much… too much. But how is that possible? They said in their world our lives were stories…
[(y/n) and Michalis have reached support rank B.]
A SUPPORT
Michalis: Summoner, I wish to know something.
(y/n): Ask away, but if it’s a stupid question-
Michalis: If you seem to grieve my presence so much, why do you not simply release me?
(y/n): Two reasons. The first is that I am certain Veronica would simply bind you again if I tried to send you home.
Michalis: It is true when we first met, I was under her control. I could not escape her will, no matter how I tried. Under your own thumb, I have been more able to exert my dominance properly. And the second reason is?
(y/n): I know who you will become. And it is infuriating to see you as you were before, with ambitions to conquer and do harm, when you are capable of kinder things.
Michalis: So you see me for who I will be in another world, not for who I am now.
(y/n): Who you are now doesn’t appeal to me as heavily. I’ll be quite honest about that. But you are strong. And when it comes to the battlefield, I can’t think of many wyvern riders that match your ferocity. The kings of my world weren’t much in the way of fighters. I can at least say you hold your throne well.
Michalis: Naturally… These talks we’ve had have been quite enlightening, Summoner. Even if you are disrespectful, you are nevertheless insightful.
(y/n): Awwww, you’ll make me blush.
Michalis: Sarcasm again…
[(y/n) and Michalis have reached support rank A.]
S SUPPORT
(y/n): Why exactly did you ask me to escort you, Michalis?
Michalis: I thought I would show you a place in Askr that you cannot reach on foot. I’ve been able to take my wyvern out more often. Look and be amazed.
(y/n): How corny-… Wow. You weren’t kidding. The view up here is incredible. I’m legitimately speechless.
Michalis: Indeed. This land is precious. Even I must admit that much upon reflection.
(y/n): I suppose there’s only so many sights you can see from high up.
Michalis: …
(y/n): Michalis?
Michalis: I must confess something to you, Summoner. In truth, I had brought you up here to speak of… unexpected feelings. An emotion I thought I had discarded the day I murdered my own father. Though our confrontations have often been motivated by spite at worst and mutual respect at best, I could not help but feel drawn to your natural resolve. That kind of strength… it would make for a wonderful partner.
(y/n): Partner? Are you kidding me?
Michalis: Not at all. But I understand that you view me as a conqueror, a warmongerer… and in many ways, you are right. For you, I can change… I just ask that you show me the way.
(y/n): … Jeez. How could I have fallen for someone like you? Everything about you should repulse me, yet… you have this natural charisma about you. I suppose you are King for a reason.
Michalis: And if I am King, that would also make you King/Queen of Macedon as well, you know.
(y/n): It will be different for me to come to your world… to see the inevitable War of Heroes first-hand… but I will persevere to be with you then.
Confession Quote
Michalis: My first ambition was to conquer all worlds, yet now it is I who have been conquered by you. Heh… I suppose there is merit in such submission.
