If there was a Ghosts reboot today, what do you think would be changed? Obviously there would be graphics/programming improvements; I’m thinking more about keeping Logan as a silent protagonist/more sympathetic Federation/rewriting history/etc.

I agree with you that they'd do graphical improvements and that, but I'm not exactly sure what they would do. I have more ideas for what would be fun for them to do, which range from what I consider fairly realistic to ridiculous.

Like, I think it would be cool if they added more moments to use Riley. We got so few missions with the boy! I'd love to see more of him. In combat or even on a tracking mission or similar. And I really enjoyed the mechanic of being able to sic him on people.

Along those lines, I think it would be interesting if you could also command the human Ai. Not quite giving orders because you (As Logan) aren't in charge, but just having them cooperate with you like the team you are. "Enemies over there!" kinda thing, so you can guide their attention towards areas you wanna push. Would make playing on harder difficulties not only easier but more satisfying IMO.

More emphasis on the STEALTH part of the Ghosts would also be nice. It does get shown in the game, like during "End of the Line" and especially during "The Hunted" but at some point you always go loud. A mission where you go in and get out without anyone knowing you were there would be awesome.

On the topic of stealth, a mechanic similar to the Assassins creed games where the Enemy Ai slowly catch on that you're there and THEN attack if you suck at sneaking would be interesting. But I wouldn't like it as much if they relaxed entirely and gave the all clear (after a full alert) just because Logan hid in a patch of grass for five seconds. (Or a closet.)

Maybe a dumb idea that wouldn't be executed well but a wave mode which takes place in the hospital Sand Viper took place in (So it's like you're one of the Proto-Ghosts.) where you just fight to see how long you can go would be fun. Extinction still being there would be sick too, just add the wave mode and don't replace the prior.

Story wise, because I've been speaking more mechanics/gameplay shit, I'd enjoy more sibling moments between Logan and Hesh. The moment in the start of Brave New World where Hesh lets Logan sleep in is CRUMBS and I want/need more of that. Aside from them cooperating in field I want to see Hesh worry about Logan and the same in reverse. Have them check on each other. Have them attached at the hip. Have both of them ready to ride or die!

Along the same lines (Again.) more dad moments from Elias. The reason I want this is rather evil... I want him to be so likable it genuinely breaks peoples hearts and traumatizes them when he dies. It hurts already because I get attached to pixels easily but like. I haven't cried. Make me cry.

An actual funeral scene for Elias that isn't Hesh narrating over a dramatic visual please. I love Hesh's tendency for dramatic narration (Which he got from Elias) but I have a limit. Even if it's also a cut scene and not entirely intractable, I think it'd add some more oomph to the clear drama/angst they wanted from Elias's death.

Make Rorke's intelligence more obvious. I feel like it's a part of him that gets missed because people tend to focus on his cruelness and strength but his intelligence is what makes him a real threat. Through the game he is constantly a step ahead, which is obvious in some pats, but less so in others. (Obvious: Federation Day. Less obvious: Birds of Prey/The Hunted. Non obvious: Into the Deep. In all those missions he knew the Ghosts were going to be there and had contingencies. The only time the Ghosts get ahead of Rorke is when Logan and Hesh storm the train. Which I thinks speaks to their skill and his unfamiliarity with them.)

Following the above, I think it'd be neat to have Logan match Rorke in intellect. The sneaky crafty kind of intelligence that'll get you like a knife in the back. Would also be a good way to make said intelligence obvious, if Logan is the one to point it out. The reason he even knows it's there is because he recognizes it. It's familiar.

Give Logan some speaking lines. It's fine if he's still a majority quiet and prefers to let Hesh be his voice but just a few... Let the guy have some agency. And you do have to admit the era of silent COD protagonists is being phased out or is over. A relic from a bygone era...

More of Hesh being a fucking menace, please. Please please please. Begging on my knees. Him going "Checkmate" was the coldest shit ever, and he SCARED/SURPRISED Rorke doing that. I need more of it. (Another example: He just smacks the shit out of a Fed in the Luxor WITH A GUN rather than using it to shoot the guy. Menace behavior.)

Give Logan the ability to use his throwing knife skills more. He does it ONCE in Federation Day and that shit was so clean. MORE.

I actually really enjoy the black/white animated cut scenes between ops more than the ones in (for example) the Modern Warfare games where it's mostly satellite images. They did some pretty cool transitions a few times. Even if Hesh or Elias's narrating annoyed the shit out of me.

GIVE LOGAN A RORKE FILE. Hesh and Elias and MERRICK get one but not my boy??? LET HIM COOK! (I have a soft spot for the Rorke Files, I just think they're neat.)

Make Rorke and Elias gay for each other. Divorced. Toxi old man yaoi in my COD game? Sign me up. (This is the "Ridiculous" end of the ideas spectrum.) I don't care if it's only implied, I'll take ONE line where Elias admits that he and Rorke were closer than a Captain and Lieutenant should be and that's all I need.

Keegan and Ajax also Gae Confirmed please and thank you. I just... I need it. Also don't kill Ajax. I like him and if they do the Confirmed Gae it'd be another case of "Burying Your Gays" and I don't need that. Coma or smthn but no death.

Make the Ghosts scary. Gimme a mission from the enemies POV (Weather the player knows it or not) where you're just getting hunted in some Insidious-esque bullshit the whole time. Put the "Stalker" back in Ghosts. (Because their official name is STALKER)

With lots of rings, mostly something skull/plant/occult themed. Always silverish color, never gold. I don't like gold.

Outside from Ghost, I mostly listen to rock and different kinds of metal. And FNaF songs.

I was a Creepypasta kid. Aside from Polish and English I speak some German and bits of Italian, but very little. I can read most arabic letters (as in I know what sounds they make).

I have lots of different posters on my walls and I have stickers on my furniture because I grew up too fast and I'm catching up on my childhood now. I've got mental issues, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, mommy issues and daddy issues. I like calling them my pokemon.

I like writing (though I barely have time for that) and re-watching Total Drama (watched it 8 times just this year) since it manages to keep my attention, something most movies fail to do, which is why I barely watch anything. I get bored very easily. I play the Sims 4 a lot, but I can't build in it for the life of me. I'm amazing at building in the Sims 3. Big fan of Assassin's Creed (I don't like the new ones, though, since it doesn't feel like AC anymore to me). I own many true crime and paranormal activity books, though I can barely read at this point. I like manga, though. Currently collecting the Soul Eater series. I love plushies. I got a new one today. Their name is Pyza. (Yes, they're enby, I even got them a pin)

I know way more about butterflies than I should. I know lots of useless trivia in general. Most of it disturbing. I'm tired 24/7, but my body either wakes up before 7AM or after 6 hours exactly and it's impossible for me to fall asleep again. My room is usually a mess, but that's okay, so am I.

I'm a total introvert, but I'm also so tired with life I forced myself to become the extrovert of the group. I'm really loud if I like people, although my affection is usually random touches on someone's arms and shoulders with a strange noise. I make noises. A lot.

For some reason, babies love me. Even though I personally dislike children. I love pets, though. All sorts of pets. Cats, dogs, snakes, spiders... Anything. If I can pet it, I want to pet it. I love moths from the attacus family, I mean just look at this gorgeous girl!

As for my personality, aside from daily mental breakdowns, I'm relatively chill, just... Very unhinged. I talked about Secondo's dick piercings in McDonald's. Compared to the shit I say, Terzo's an angel.

Watching Overly Sarcastic Productions and thinking about immortal roommates tonight... Ava's origins are extremely murky and will remain so, but if we want to imagine something, we might imagine Minoan Crete, which would put the time of her birth at around 1900 BCE or even earlier (an absolutely mind-boggling number of years ago). Ava will never confirm it in so many words, but she'll make references/jokes to bulls and volcanos every now and then that make Bea go 👀👀👀. lilith pre vampirification was like, briefly a military leader, mostly through coercion because the forces she was commanding, b4 she cane into command, were loosing badly, the town (probably lilith’s hometown) was almost destroyed and while they already had vv few competent peoplr let alone leaders among them (tbf they really didn’t have a need for em, but then the town was ambushed), even the few were either injured or dead so when they noticed lilith still being alive, and thanks to knowing about her dad + thx to lilith’s dad, knowing that lilth had showed a good amount of aptitude in fighting and military strategy shit, they coerced her (probably through threatning some friend or family of hers) into helping “just to fight off the invading forces” and so they did

but the forces wanted lilith to help them invade other places to “recoop looses” and what not, so that wasn’t the end of the coercion

lilth ended up faking her death so she could get out of the deal without putting her friend/s and(or family at risk, but it also meant she couldn’t return home to keep them out of danger

And then not long after that, like a year or two later lilith became a vampire

i think ava lilith & beatrice all probably need to skidaddle off by themselves every so often (to varying ampunts and degrees obv), and while ava & lilith are mutually aware of that and did the majority of the communication shit over it a while ago, beatrice isn’t on the same page

So a bit into beatrice formally moving in with ava & lilith, she just kinda gets antsy, in large part because the mental gymnastics of convincing herself people don’t care or don’t care very much, are at an all time high and in all honesty, while it might seem counter intuitive ava & lilith’s near constant prescencex are making it worse

but beatrice can’t manage to make herself say that until one day she ends up turning full tail (literally) and just is like 🏃‍♂️

lilith finds her a bit later at some mcdonalds or some fast food place (thanks to the becoming a werewolf stuff, beatrice has a lot bigger appetitie that she’s still adjusting to which means there’s a good few times where beatrice unwittingly finds herself suddenly feeling weak from not enough food and so ends up just having to go with the closest source of food she can find that won’t take her a bunch of effort to eat pr like poison her or anything ((ava & lilith, but esp lilith because she can relate makes sure to watch out for how much food beattice’s had in a day and do shit like keeping snacks on hand, eyc to try and minimize these incidents))) and just sits with beatrice until she’s ready to talk

beatrice & lilith are probably often the best at talking each other out of whatever dumb mental gymnastics they’re doing now because of how similar they are

also lilith & beatrice are, depending on who you ask surprisingly chaotic, they’ve accidentally gotten involved in a few disasterous shenanigans (which is a lot different from purposely doing so)

lilith started courting beatrice but completely forgot to mention so poor beatrice is vv confusedly flustered to death several times over by lilith

ava wants to spend time w lilith so she (im)patiently waits until nightime but she also wants to take full use of sunlight so she also is awake during the day, which, esp since ava gets tired a lot quicker than the average person means ava quickly learns to take several naps during the day or else be knocked out cold during the most inconvenient of times

sometimes those naps happen during night so lilith often decides to just nap w ava when that happens, and they never really change that system, so basically they’re vv used to taking naps several times a day, especially with each other so not napping would throw them off their rhythm and also they’re probably so used to the routine that they begin feeling sleepy when they see the other taking a nap, regardless if they woke u literally just an jour or so ago

I’m not really doing a whole lot today, but I don’t ever really do a whole lot anyway. I just feel like archiving my dull life because I can. There is also the nice likeliness that not many people would even find this blog… so that’s nice.

Just a day of ripping up paper, watching movies, and doing some cleaning… nothing exciting and that’s okay.

Anyway, when your friend mails you a badly printed book for the intention of ripping it up and using it (eventually) to make new paper and learn how to bind little books — you sit around and rip it up into tiny little pieces.

There’s something satisfying to me about doing this. It’s calming, I guess. When I was stressed out with university (before I dropped out), I would rip up my scrap papers into tiny pieces while crying and snotting everywhere.

I was ripping these up while watching Mean Girls and then some Angelika Oles videos.

But needless to say, I’m gonna be here a while…

Something I’ve been doing a lot is watching movies for the intention of taking notes on tropes and character development, but also mood, ambiance, and writing down any little ideas they give me for things I want to try with my own stories or with roleplay stuff. I do this at this cinema too (although on paper and pen and not a tablet for my fellow moviegoers) so why not at home too?

It helps me feel slightly less guilty for just having me days and like watching movies or TV. I know it’s stupid to feel like that, but I can’t help it. I already feel like I don’t do anything because disabled and can’t find any volunteer work that I can actually do, but yeah.

Anyway, watched this movie because I can.

Yesterday, I was trying to make flour tortilla chips, but it’s been so long since I made them, that I forgot how to… so I’m trying again in the toaster oven because something about all that oil also made me uncomfortable. So here’s hoping these turn out all right.

Update: 5 minutes later, they’re almost done and they taste pretty good. Less greasy than from the stove. I have 2 chips not cooked yet because the toaster oven tray is kind of small though so…

There were 8… but I ate (haha) some before I took the picture.

I miss them :(

I freaking love Indie Games

Let me talk about something positive today. I wanna talk about Indie games. Because I freaking love Indie Games.

I... was for a long time not much of a "gamer". I mean, I had my Pokémon games and Digimon and I played quite a bit of Resident Evil for a variation of reasons. Also I did play Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. But... I was not that much of a gamer. I had these few Japanese franchises and other than that I just did not do much in terms of gaming.

When I then started university and got my first desktop PC back then - one powerful enough to handle games - I got Bioshock and from there really got into games. So, I played it all. The big franchises. You know it. Dragon Age, Bioshock (which I can basically play with my eyes closed), Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and so on and so forth. You know those games. But...

Well, a couple of years ago, I noticed that I stopped looking forward to those new releases. And I think it started really with Cyberpunk. Because Cyberpunk 2077 was a game I was so freaking hyped for and I wanted to get it on release. But then... all the news about the crunch came out, I felt less and less like it. And then the game was all buggy af. And... yeah, I never got it.

But I also kinda fell out of love with the entire AAA game industry. So many of the games are created through crunch. So many of them are filled with endless tidium to stretch out the runtime. And every bit of diversity that is in there still very much feels like it is there for those diversity points - not out of actual conviction.

I did not game much for a long while... Until I started playing the Supergiant games, after getting them in a Steam sale. And let me tell you: I fucking loved Transistor. That was such an interesting Cyberpunk game. I enjoyed the heck out of it.

So, obviously I played all the Supergiant stuff. And yeah, sure, I had played a couple of other Indie games before (Undertale and Oxenfree come to mind), but I never had looked into Indie games before. And then I did and hell yeah.

Not all Indie game studios treat their developers good. No. But chances are higher that they do, compared to the big studios.

More than that: There is just more variation of indie games out there. Genres that in mainstream seem basically dead (including my beloved Metroidvania) are still alive and well within the indie sphere.

And diversity in Indie Games is actually true diversity. Often enough done by own voices. There are not only games that feature marginalized groups, but also those, that actually center around those experiences.

Also, most Indie Games actually respect my time. Other than AAA titles, that fill their world with endless nothing, Indie titles are often way more consciece. Something I can play through within 10-20 hours - but if I like can replay again and again.

And don't get me started with accessibility. Like, fuck. One should think that it should be possible for the big studios to make their games just a little bit more accessible, right? Yeah. Somehow still not happening.

So... Yeah. Sure, I am still gonna play my Digimon and Pokémon games. But for the most part I am sitting in my Indie corner and am quite happy here.

Especially because... well... It also seems more sustainable, right?

We get our food and have a general conversation. Kristen doesn't say much because she's too busy texting Stella.

"I still can't believe you play video games, let alone Assassin's Creed and Mortal Kombat; that's awesome! We should play sometime," he says excitedly.

"That would be cool! You'd probably kick my ass, though," I laugh.

"I hate to break up this fun fest, but you know we have that thing in the morning; maybe we should be heading home," Kristen says, and then I remember I promised to go with Lindsay tomorrow.

"Oh yeah!"

Today has been pretty perfect, and it's ending; I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed.

"Jess?" Hero says.

"Oh, sorry, what did you say?"

"Can I borrow your phone? I need to get an Uber back to the hotel since my friend didn't show up."

"Yeah, sure; wait, you don't have yours?" I ask while unlocking mine and then handing it to him. 

"I forgot it in my room."

A couple of minutes go by, and he hands it back.  "Thanks. Hopefully, I don't get a crazy fan," he laughs, rubbing the back of his neck.

"We can stay just to make sure," I offer, clearly trying to make up a reason to get more time with him.

"I don't wanna hold you guys back, and I'll be fine."

"Okay," I say, trying to hide the disappointment from my face as I pull away from the table.  "Can I at least get a hug?" I ask nervously.

"Yeah, of course," he smiles, then leans down and hugs me.

It's been two weeks, and she hasn't texted me. Why hasn't she? Why do I care?

I push the thought back, focusing on the main objective of the fact that she's a fan, and I always told myself I wouldn't get interested in a fan because I wouldn't be sure if it were because of me or my fame.

Not to mention how the media would be on her. Wow, Tiffin, you're getting ahead of yourself; it's only been one conversation.

Not to mention what she would think of you if she found out..

"Hero!?...earth to Hero," I blink to see Jo waving her hand in front of my face; I didn't even hear her come in.

"They want you on set. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, just thinking," I say, getting up and running my hands through my hair.

"Did you do that thing again?" I look at her, confused. "That dumb thing where you put your number in their phone hoping they'll find it? I remember when you did that to me, I almost slapped you," she says, laughing.

"No, I told her, didn't I?" I rub the back of my neck

"Knowing you, you didn't, which is madness, so no wonder you haven't heard anything. Just text her later. Problem solved; now let's go!" She says, pushing me towards the door.

G'day, BG Anon returns! I was going to update you yesterday on my progress but, as you know, the patch came out and I was like WHOOOOAAA LEMME SEE (commence the grabby hands) and time went brr so here I am today. Incredible of Larian to keep us fed like this. Ain't no one doing it better than them. 💅

Truthfully, I haven't really progressed much. I've been perusing Astarion fanart a lot recently and it made me want to try my own hand at drawing his ✨magnificence✨. Granted, I am not the best at drawing people, much less faces, so it's been a process but I won't falter. I've been going back and forth between practicing digitally and traditionally, and have even toyed with the idea of doing a painting once I manage to get him just right. I'd like to think I'm getting there. (Bit ironic that Astarion is keeping me from playing. XD)

Anyway, I had a bit of a poke around Moonrise finally. Lann the merchant kinda pissed me off, I can't wait to kill him, honestly. Good inventory though. Well, until I sold him all the junk I could find. Good luck getting anymore customers. MUAHAHAHAHA! >:)

I have never wanted to pimp slap a bunch of pixels more than when I talked to Araj. How dare she treat bae like this?! I actually managed to play for an hour or so a few days ago and progress a little further into Act 3. I found Orin and I know she has a few doppelganger options (one of them being the nymph(?) that tests you and your romanced companion's love). So I'm LITERALLY hunting for the other Orin options, because once you see her a few times, the other options become normal NPCs and I cannot bear to reveal Astarion's vulnerability to someone who is secretly Orin in disguise. (I am TOTALLY normal about this).

I haven't decided how honest I'm going to be for the love test cause on one hand, my character wants him to know he sees Astarion and understands, but on the other… :/ well. Perhaps I will just apology smooch him after. That will make it all better!

16. favorite place to write?

i prefer to write at like my desk area. but the oddest yet best place to write is at work on my phone. i always have to double edit and edit heavy bc my fingers move slower but i can write and walk around at the same time. work is very slow bc people don’t uhhhh shop in stores for pet food anymore.

19. what are some books or authors that influenced your style most?

i’m going to be really honest, my style is basically going from 10 years of roleplaying to fanfic so it’s pretty action and dialogue heavy. lately i’ve been reading a lot of fantasy books (currently rereading the grishaverse books) that i’m hoping will get me to start describing things more. places, clothing, small details to make it more immersive. if that makes sense. though a lot of things that i read and watch end up getting plugged in with little hints. i think about how in six of crows there’s a like about bottling a laugh and getting drunk on it and i’ve played around with that depending on what works for characters. (this is on my mind bc i read soc not that long ago read that line and felt myself snap again)

23. how do you deal with writer’s block?

ha! i don’t deal with it well. i’ve been blocked for a while about how to finish don’t, don’t, don’t throw it away. i think it’s why i’ve been reading a lot more, trying to find inspiration in other writing. my next trick is going to be rereading the whole fic and seeing how i wanna finish it. otherwise dealing with writer’s block means taking some time and doing other stuff. i’ve been mostly off my computer for a few weeks, playing assassin’s creed valhalla or reading so i’m hoping somewhere i’ll get inspired. the point, i find, is to not force it. it’ll only make you more critical and you won’t like what you’re producing.

This guy had been doing this to me for a solid week before I decided to say anything about him either explaining the game to me as I'm playing it or just straight up spoiling the game because he just assumed I can't follow a plot line, can't read or don't have eyes.

"I'm just trying to make sure you're on the same page as us" Why wouldn't I be? Am I not playing the game? Do I look like I'm incapable of following along? I tried to explain that him doing that was upsetting to me and I thought that would be the end of it but he showed up the next day to do the same thing.

After being told again to stop, he left. He left my stream and left my discord. Why didn't I ban him, time him out? I really wanted to, but I feel like as a girl streamer and someone who isn't extremely over the top, it's such a struggle to get viewership, specially a consistent viewership and sometimes I feel like I have to put up with this if I don't wanna be the last result on the page. This had gone on for a whole week, mind you, and the minute someone is told to behave accordingly, its a problem.

Also, as I mentioned on the first clip, in my personal experience, its usually men who come into a stream and do this types of things. When I played AC: Odyssey it happened quite often too, even though it's a much more relaxed storyline in my opinion. Guys telling me how to play, where to climb and asking questions like "have you ever played Assassins' Creed before? Do you know how to play this?" After I've just told them I've put 160 hours on it already. I really wish people would come to my stream and talk about their day, schoolwork or really anything else besides coming into the stream to try and make me feel stupid.
