No cause Iceman Kazansky does run his fingers through little Bradley’s hair for hours to help him fall asleep after he had nightmares, and he does sing beautiful boy under his breath and reflects on the fact that he is a father to a child that has no legal connection to him and could easily disappear from his life without giving him the chance to do anything about it, and he does think about the amount of joy that Mav brought into his life, and he does look down at his sleeping son and decides that he would do anything for him, and he does do all of this again when Bradley comes back, when he stays at their place after The Mission and wakes up with horrible nightmares like he did when he was a little kid, he does it all over again and he wouldn’t have it any other way

You're supposed to let the audience feel it because if you're feeling it too much, then you take away all that feeling from them...You can't give too much. Yeah, you gotta hold back. The old saying is in theater, if you feel 70% what is it if you feel 70% show 50%, If you feel 100% show 70%, If you feel more than that, just go home. Maybe it's the other way around. I think I think I screwed. You gotta reverse that. Something like that... Luke went to a dark place. He went to that dark lonely place. Yeah, but you know what a beautiful setup because he's serving coffee. He's being you know, compassionate and friendly with those guys, out of character for him. He's in a kind of a vulnerable moment. What I didn't expect was he was taking specialty orders like oh, you want cocoa, you want tea? Normally Luke says you're gonna get the coffee, shut up and drink it, or I'm leaving, right, even even in the midst of compassion, right, but he was so vulnerable he said, oh, let me take care of you guys, and he was having a dad moment. He kind of regressed into this sort of younger version of himself where he's helping his dad out a little bit. I don't want to get to psychological here because I can't really um, but that was a perfect moment to hit him, hit him in the you know what's with the old Max Medina stick? You know what I mean? -Scott

I think Slay the Princess is so popular partially because the *gets stabbed* "I'm in love" reaction is both intentional on the part of the developers and then they completely follow through on it.

roger who's nickname for buggy was "junebug" cause they found him in june and his hair is the same color.... buggy who hates it at first until he's climbing into his captain's bed at night bc of a nightmare and his captain says ever so softly, "oh junebug, c'mere"..... the nickname getting adopted by everyone on the crew until nobody calls him buggy anymore..... them meeting up with thr whitebeard pirates and getting irrationally jealous when the whitebeards use the nickname bc that's their nickname and who the fuck do these people think they are getting so close to their junebug.... rouge who has never met buggy calling him junebug in her head.... roger whose last words to buggy that fateful day before loguetown was "you shine like the sun, junebug. never stop"..... buggy who waits for years after the execution for a call from one of his former crew members, hoping every time the den-den one day it'll be rayleigh or seagull or gaban or sunbell on the other side with a familiar "hey junebug", except no one ever calls and the years go by and buggy slowly learns to stop waits, and gives on being the roger's junebug and learns how to be buggy the clown, buggy the genius jester, buggy the immortal, everything and anything other than junebug
