You know those moments when a character is having a confrontation with someone they dislike but then they see or hear someone who immediately makes their eyes soften?
season 3 janeway hanging out with her kiddies more is a big fave era of the AU for meeeeeeeee <3 she's awkward at it but she's trying :')
Resolutions and Basics happen and it's the beginning of a shift for her in feeling like she actually wants to be a mother. It's a slow burn up through Coda which conveniently shares an anniversary with Threshold = their first birthday, seeing what she's missing (though the alien in Coda would probably try to frame it in her mind as being like "they're going to be fine without you" but she'd see it and be like "im missing these moments with them :(" and afterwords she'd finally make the decision to be more involved in their lives.
anyone else realised how punk's widows peak hairline leaves a lovely pair of spaces for little devil horns? (i think specifically small silver ones would suit best). dunno why but i keep thinking about it. i mean like some little transdermal horns like these:
(btw all these references i just got on pinterest)
just think about it. think of how many people he could stab by headbutting them. so i made some pictures. you'll have to excuse me cos they're a bit shit (i made them in powerpoint in about 10 minutes with barely any idea of how to make it look good).
his hairline is just begging for some little devil horns to fill the gap. i feel like it would fit his general impish aura. he can be a little fae creature living in the woods stealing people's names and being a generally folkloric trickster.
it is so interesting how If It's True is consistently considered a wildcard surprise of the show. it's not in any highlights, it's not considered one of The Famous Songs like Wait For Me or Hey Little Songbird, but there's something about seeing it live that absolutely floors you and it happens to almost everyone. I already liked it based on boots and the soundtrack, but seeing it live decimated me so thoroughly that I am still thinking about it 3 months later.
