What's a delta au btw? I've been scrolling through tvdint fics and i see it pop up sometimes
The Delta AU is one of the many semi-canon AU's for the series! (Semi-canon in the sense that tvdint's mangaka Bonnoki was the one who came up with it, rather than just some fans) It's one of the most popular AU's and one of the most developed ones, aside from Uso
Basically, the gist of it is that every character (with a couple of exceptions) is shifted one role to the left, IE:
The vampires are all Vampire Control Division
The Vampire Control Division are all vampire hunters
The vampire hunters are all vampires
Draluc is the captain of the VCD and is a dhampir in this AU. He has a wicked good ability to sense vampires, except using his ability gives him terrible migraines. He and the rest of the VCD are investigating a sudden invasion of superior vampires (Ronaldo and the rest of the former hunter characters) in Shin Yoko, and Draluc is eventually tasked with monitoring Ronaldo. He's very overworked and very tired, but is still his usual hedonistic self (and still has John).
Ronaldo is a vampire who is stupidly powerful, and it seems as though absolutely nothing can kill him: not garlic, not crosses, not silver, not sunlight. He is actively looking for a way to die, so that he can resurrect himself and become more "vampire-like" like his brother. He seems a lot more enthusiastic and puppy dog-like in this AU, so far not showing any sort of violent tendencies towards Draluc and actually seems to kind of respect him to an extent
And it basically plays out as a "what if Ronaldo was the one who barged into Draluc's quiet lil life and mooched off him instead?" theoretical. Fanon likes to depict this AU as kind of like a silly slice-of-life office AU, in a sense, but in general a lot of people view Delta as a slightly-to-greatly darker/more serious storyline than the canon tvdint, given Ronaldo's obsession with wanting to die and Draluc's mortality as a dhampir, among other aspects.
There are two 4 page comics about Delta in the official kyuushi fanbooks as well as a handful of little lore droplings from Bonnoki on his twitter and in a couple of his radios on youtube.
A compilation of most of the information about Delta can be found here!

It was quite worrying walking down the main shopping streets of my city during pride and seeing that barely any of them have any pride flags or anything in the window. Rainbow capitalism will not save us but it is so unnerving when even last year most shops had some kind of bunting in the window and this year it was only three or four. Like idk it feels emblematic of a worsening or idk souring attitude towards queer people that is definitely influenced by rampant transphobia in the uk. Which is why it’s so upsetting when cis queer people join in on transphobia in hopes of distancing themselves from the current social and political undesirability of transness.

I know its funny haha and also hes not real so do whatever you want ig but idk. I think mb some of the memes about chilchuck looking like a widdle baby teehee funny short king isnt it ironic that hes horny when hes tiny uh
Misses the point of the narrative vis a vis the struggles of being taken seriously when looking younger than your age. And also the racialized implications of it specifically with half foots. Just a little bit?

Man, just saw a post about it, but renewed my frustration over work nonsense yesterday
Being like, oh, cool! It's disability pride month! We get to switch the displays in the store! I wanna make a really cool display right up front!!
Getting a cart to go start selecting books from our wide array of children's books, picture books, YA novels, adult fiction, nonfiction, etc that I know feature disabled characters and people and that I've seen sitting on the shelves for a while, our previous book buyer was always suuuuuper vocal about finding books w disabled characters, after all, representation just MATTERED SO MUCH to her,
And then being absolutely dumbfounded when we BARELY HAVE ANYTHING outside of characters w ADHD/Autism. MAYBE anxiety. PERHAPS a character has cancer. THE FAINTEST SUGGESTION of a wheelchair in one book. Huntington's? Question mark? In another? Conditions resulting in disfigurement/amputation? The concept could possibly exist in this book, uhh.. maybe...... anything else? Ha! Not on these shelves I fucking guess?!
Like.... we have a ton of books w queer rep! Different body types! Different skin tones! Teach your toddler about social justice! Transgender characters! Nonbinary characters! The alphabet but we're making it gay! At least one book, I think, with asexual characters! But no, we don't have our self-empowerment books anymore or the little guide to sexuality and disability, we have Buddhist monk advice for anxious people, but nooooo we DON'T have that cool book that talked about disability activism anymore, and definitely not in time for July!
I know she and I were at odds before she left, and I know my specifically putting "National month of..." prompts up on my desk calendar after she expressed it was "so difficult to find out what each month is the month of!" probably really irritated her, but I'm like. Appalled that she hadn't been ordering to restock for disability pride month since she always made such a big deal about having books like that in the store.

[Image description: A digital drawing based on the film One Cut of the Dead. It's a close-up of the arms of Ko and Chinatsu as the former approaches her, arms in a raised zombie pose. She clenches an axe which she pushes towards him. Both of them have blood splattered on them. Director Higurashi stands behind the two, hands clutching a camera which is recording, its red tally light standing out. His face is blurred into pixels but it's still clear he's smiling wide. The sketches are not coloured, the background peaking through. They have a dark brown lineart while the background is a sickly yellow that reddens around the edges. In the same red as the tally light, the words "one cut of the dead" are written down the right side of the piece, stacked on one another. The font is irregular and bleeds down. On the other side, there's an larger tally light which also bleeds.]
