having thoughts about Steve having a little sister who is the “better” kid and the reason his parents are always gone is because they have a house in South Carolina or some shit because that’s where her boarding school is and that’s where they go when they aren’t traveling and Steve always sort of resented her because he had to go through the standard “why can’t you be more like Stacy?” (she’s the “smart one” and she’s always done better than him in school) and that’s also why he doesn’t like nerds or whatever when he’s King Steve but little does he know that she feels the same about him because she’s always being told “why can’t you be more like Steve?” (he’s the “athletic one” and he’s more social and charismatic than she is) so when she comes home for the first time since ‘82 for the summer of ‘86 and sees Steve is so different and happy and totally rebelling against their parents (do they know he does drugs and has a boyfriend?? all she knew was that he had a crappy job) and he finds out that she’s doing almost the same thing (arent you too young to be doing drugs and have a girlfriend? i thought they were mad at you because you failed that class) and it’s like the spider-man meme while they try to work through their parent trauma
I like to think that after all the dust settles and there’s been a lot of time put between the events the present day the Foxes love reciting Neil’s “you know, I get it” roast.
Because it truly is top tier and after the initial fear and shock wears off the foxes would find it fucking hilarious. Not only the wording of the little monologue itself but the absolute gaul Neil had to say that and the fact that he just riffed it off the top of his head.
I think the “you know, I get it,” specifically becomes a staple phrase in all of their vocabularies at some point. One of them says it and At Least one other Fox in the vicinity immediately goes “being raised as a superstar must be really, really difficult for you” no matter the context of the conversation.
okok question--
What is your most morally gray but most enjoyable thing to do in Baldur's Gate?
Mine's making big things of ice and playing music to watch NPCs slip all over the place. I can do that for HOURS
Is that morally gray? Idk, but it's fun 🙈
I would say that is probably morally gray LOL, but also extremely entertaining!
Hmmm, I don’t know if this is considered morally gray, more just a silly thing, but I always slap gale’s hand before saving him in every playthrough lol… I also like to make that tiefling in the grove bow to Lae’zel every playthrough 😆
Everything else I do in bg3 that I consider fun is just straight up evil or mean 💀 like I don’t actually enjoy saving people in bg3, but I do it if my character is supposed to be good (I’m lazy) 😭 the only person I’m actually nice to all the time is Astarion because I’m a simp 😊 😊
if they didn’t want me to fall madly in love with BOTH Raoul and the Phantom they shouldn’t have had the Phantom’s first real singing part been him belting “Insolent boy, this slave of fashion”
there’s just something about the angry perversion of the soft “Angel of Music” melody and the power behind the phantom’s voice that shows how dangerous this ‘Angel’ really is. his introduction— filled with beautiful music and absolute rage and jealousy— just absolutely overtakes you.
and then when it’s mixed with the degradation of Raoul as a suitor for Christine and a man in general… the phantom isn’t entirely WRONG, of course. Raoul does very much seem to know how to get along in “proper” society. but he is also willing to die for Christine at the end of the show, so he isn’t as frivolous as the phantom wants to believe either.
it’s such a good character introduction for both of them and it just GETS ME EVERY TIME
selina was 19 when bruce was 26…? oh my god i never knew how old she was when she was first introduced so your tags shocked me😭
ok so i went back to volume one and it’s actually. a bit worse than i remember 😭
i did get it wrong that it was on the cusp of year one/year two, these events overlap with year one so bruce is 25. but based on the above panels it seems selina could have been anywhere from 16/17-19 😭
it’s funny how everything we see is just.. fake. i really don’t know how some people believed in hizzo friendship lmao. oh and also remember that she even did a promotion for DWD? yikes.
Actually i am still mad about Hilary losing and trump winning in 2016, bc… whatever problems you had or chose to believe about Hilary… I don’t think we would’ve gotten to this point in our fascist hellscape if she had been in office….
i think it’s SO fucking funny when people get so angry about shit like you act so superior and you block people, THEN talk shit about them it seems kinda cowardly honestly?? i’m so glad i’m an immature little bitch cause i’m not the one dragging people’s name through the dirt CKSKDKSK
