i’m sad that young royals is ending but i’m also beyond happy that lisa, the director, got to tell this beautiful story the way she had always planned. young royals will not be one of those shows where things are put in there just to fill up and have ton of seasons. it has a beginning and an end and tells the story exactly how it is. it’s a special show and the characters in it are unique. everything in the show amaze me and it is so heartwarming. i love everyone who is involved on the making of this show, every single person who contributed to this beautiful story i thank you.

I finished watching Hannibal. I can’t believe it. Now I know why this fandom has never stopped waiting for a season 4 and I am right there with you. How could they taunt us with the possibility of them surviving the fall to find Bedelia and then not have another season 😭. I may be betraying my roots here but I think Hannibal has officially become my favourite show and of course Hannigram to go with that as my favourite ship. There is just so much to them and the show is beautiful, I can’t believe I spent so much time being too scared to watch it what a fool I was.

Final Space is coming back!!! Creator Olan Rogers won the liscense to produce a graphic novel to complete the story for his cancelled epic sci-fi series!

okay but the fact that amphibia showed sasha anne and marcy after they grew up, showing them all in different places and living lives away from each other, is amazing to me. it shows how they were okay after splitting apart, but their time together wasn’t insignificant. they’re key parts in each others’ lives, they helped each other grow into who they are, and that doesn’t change after they don’t talk much anymore. the theme of impermanence not meaning insignificance is such a beautiful thing, especially since the show is tailored toward an age group where things are constantly changing and sometimes losing a friend can feel like the end of the world. god, i love this show so much. gonna go cry for a few weeks or months now

it's been almost two weeks since the finale dropped and i have yet to get this scene off my mind. it's so fleabagesque. just as the camera stops following fleabag at the end of its series finale, wille's own end (or rather, beginning) is knighted with a shift in the meta. he is finally able to look at us, the audience, with the smallest hint of a smile, no longer crushed under the weight of his family's (and perhaps even our) expectation. he's allowed to just be a kid. not prince wilhelm of sweden. he's allowed to be wille, to make mistakes, to run after the love of his life, drive off with messy hair, a messy smile, and so much hope. he's letting us know he's going to be just fine. and so are we.

the question of this series has always been: "can wille be crown prince AND be with simon" and the answer is no.

he tries to make it work but being both only leads to stress on one side or the other. they let you believe wille has chosen the crown. he's made up with his mom and august and they let you believe that he has chosen his role as future king. and yet - not even because of simon - he choses simon. he choses himself

and what more could you ask for?

I realized with my last reblog about Ed and Stede’s first kiss that I was repeating myself with what I said. To put some context into it I’m someone who grew up without authentic queer representation in media. I spent years watching tv shows and movies that either didn’t have any queer characters or if they did they were a joke. The tragic outsider or side character. Rarely did I ever see a queer person as the lead character. I also spent years being queer baited by shows. Seeing something that to me clearly looked and sounded queer. Then thinking “ooh, gay?” Then nothing happens and I’m made to feel like an idiot for even suggesting the characters might be gay. Getting the bare minimum in representation that wasn’t even authentic and also being queer baited conditioned me into thinking that I shouldn’t get my hopes up about Stede and Ed. That the very clear chemistry between them wasn’t going to actually go anywhere. Then it became real and I find out that they intended for it to happen from the start and I find myself sobbing. So yeah that first kiss moment is life changing for me. No I don’t care how stupid that sounds to anyone. The amount of love and care being shown to me and everyone in the queer community by this show means everything to me. I now know that I can have actual representation in media. People do understand how important it is. So thank you David Jenkins, Taika Waititi, Rhys Darby and literally everyone involved in making OFMD happen. I am eternally grateful!
