DUBLIN NIGHT TWO (october 17th, 2023) RECAP:

-Miles looking up and pointing at the mirrorball while singing the lines "I stare up to the moon, and my lonely heart goes boom boom boom once again" during “One Man Band”.

-Alex reaching out for and smiling at a turtle plushie somebody threw on stage before they started playing “Arabella”.

-Alex saying: “Let’s hear it for Miles Kane! Wonderful.” before playing “Fluorescent Adolescent”

-Alex adding: “Do you remember? I remember…” while pointing at Miles at the end of “Fluorescent Adolescent” after the lights went out.

-Miles watching “505” from the side of the stage with Alex repeatedly turning to his right side.

-Alex singing “I Wanna Be Yours” turned to his right for the entirety of the song while walking to the corner of the stage. (After adding the line “I DON’T WANNA BE HERS, I WANNA BE YOURS” while the lights were out, the night before, in Belfast.)

-Alex pointing at Miles and then at himself while singing the line “I found out the hard way that here ain’t no place for dolls like you and me” and singing the rest of the verse directly at that side.

final day of tmaynt!! day 31

i decided to something cute and silly, of course for my favorite style i had to choose 2012, i think its become glaringly obvious lol 2012 and rise are def my fav styles, tho i think mutant mayhem is a close second to both.

i still have a few things to post for the tmaynt challenge but. goodness its been such a fun ride to participate!! ive never managed to get through more than like,, a week tops of any drawing challenge in the past, so its kind of amazing that i was able to finish the month with only a few drawings left to finish up. i also feel like ive gotten to be more of a part of this fandom which is super nice

so thank you @mikasleaf @tmaynt for creating such a nice opportunity for everyone to express their love for tmnt and for all of us to get to know just a little more about each other!!

Rise of the TMNT fans, I need your advice. I'm a huge TMNT fan from the early 2000. I've watched and loved every single movies, shows and comics in the franchise (yeah, even the strange one like the 90s TV show and the Bay movies. I just really love the turtle bros)

The only one I haven't watched in its entirety so far is ROTTMNT. I started watching it when it came out in 2018 and I thought it was so good! It is different from other iteration, as expected with every new TMNT shows. This is what I love with this franchise, and Rise follow up right in its predecessor's path. But three things kept me from going past the first 10 episodes:

1. This show is overwhelmingly fast to me. The brothers are trowing jokes and quips so fast and it never really stopped to breath for 10 seconds. The lack of clear storyline didn't help this feeling, since it didn't give me an anchor to focus on while the other stuff is being thrown on screen as fast as Sonic throw himself at a chilly dog. 2. I know it's more of a ''me problem'', but Leo is SO different, it's literally difficult for me to think of him as the same characters as his other iterations. I love when the writers change things with the turtle's personality since it keeps the franchise fresh, but it was never to THIS extend. Watching rottmnt felt like entering a room where everything has been shifted a little bit to the left, as expected, and then you realize that someone has replaced the couch by a huge ping sofa. I'm still not sure how to deal with the pink sofa. I've never had one before. Also the sofa has the same voice and personality as Dewey from my favourite 2010s show, which is probably 50% of the reasons why it's hard for me to love him now that I think of it.

3. Terrible interactions with people in the fandom that were quite mean (I've felt Now, here's my question to rottmnt fans: should I give this show another go? Will it get less overwhelming and more focused with time? Will Leo grow into the character he's supposed to be, while keeping the traits that make this version of him so unique? Is the fandom welcoming, or treat me like garbage because I like, praise and critique most of TMNT medias, including some that are really different from Rise?

I really want to like this show. I don't want it to be the only one I don't like. Maybe I need to watch it in French so I don't get thrown off by Ben Schwartz too much

i started zzz (i'm loving the combat and story)

period cramps still sucks

i'm going to be super busy soon because the rest of my family are going to arrive and stay over for 2 weeks... and i'm dreading not having my own personal space since they're going to take my bedroom and convert my office to a temporary bedroom. ogh. the privilege of getting married haha

but i am excited to see my sister again in person after... 7? 8? years of not meeting her. and my nephews and nieces too. and after that i'll have to get back overseas and pack for the move and move to my new place and- .... sigh, busy busy.... _:(´ཀ`」 ∠):

anyway, if you're reading this, wow, thank you for being interested on what's happening in my life /genuine. i haven't been online for a lot these days since i've just been mentally tired with pretty much everything since... let's just say something's happening irl ;;; here's hoping that being back home clears up that mental fatigue and bandages up resulting wounds.

One of the biggest things that makes me see Leo as trans is absolutely the size of his carapace in comparison to his brothers’.

And I’m not talking about height! I’m specifically looking at his shell here, because when you compare him to the others, particularly Donnie who is nearly the same height as Leo, it’s very clear that Leo’s carapace is much longer in proportion to the rest of his body.

Like - standing side by side, even though Donnie is shorter his carapace ends noticeably higher up than Leo’s does. And I like this not only because it really helps push the idea that Leo could very likely be trans (or intersex!), but it’s also just a fun design difference between them.

(It also lends way to future scenarios of Donnie eventually getting taller than Leo, but sitting down still has Leo being the taller one haha.)
