When Armand kills Cláudia in his theater, what will the fandom joke about this? Bc nothing he does is taken seriously, but if Lestat calls Claudia spoiled he has to be killed again lol
I don't know what prompted this ask, but i think Armand's actions will be taken seriously by most fans and there won't be much jokes about Claudia's death because it's going to be upsetting, and some fans may never be able to forgive or like Armand's character after that. I think there isn't much hate toward Armand simply because we haven't seen almost any of him yet since he's in the background and disguise for entire s1. We've seen very little of his dynamic with Louis and his actions so there isn't much to elicit anger or hate in viewers, in comparison to Lestat who we've actually seen do various terrible things and hurt Louis and Claudia.
The relationship Claudia has with Lestat and the relationship she has with Armand are also very different. Lestat is Claudia's father and he's abusive towards her, whereas Armand and Claudia are almost strangers with no familial connection. While killing someone could be seen as worse than abusing them (i think Lestat likely wasn't really trying to kill Claudia in the finale), people are still going have much stronger reaction to abuse. Excluding the vampirism s1 was a very realistic depiction of how domestic violence and child abuse work so lots of people had a visceral reaction to it because it's deeply violating experience and something that could happen to any of us unlike burning in the sun as a vampire because some crazy older vampire wanted to get rid of you.
If Armand turns out to be abusive towards Louis i'm sure he'll get just as much hate as Lestat. I'm not sure is Armand treated any more sympathically than Lestat even now, because i've seen especially many Lestat fans talking about him like he's nothing more than a manipulative psychopath with no inner feelings or capability to love or having any nuance. I think Lestat is often allowed more complexity in the fandom, and majority of people who joke about killing him actually like his character. Ultimately we all have a blind spot with how we view our favorite characters versus characters we dislike or don't care about

WIP WEDNESDAY GAME
Slimmed-down post/rules, but originally taken from @kedreeva.
It’s WIP Wednesday! This week's theme is "incredibly intentional and deliberate baby acquisition" (aka, "gIVE ME BABY"). With perhaps a slightly loose definition of "baby", hahaha.
( I had so, so many options that fit this theme to pick between, lol. )
Here’s how it works:
I will post the filenames of five WIPs, and will also post a snippet of new content from one of them to get the ball rolling.
Send me an ask with the name of one of the listed WIPs and I will write you a minimum of three sentences in that WIP in response!
Multiple requests are fine, but I’d prefer if you sent them in separate asks. Just a little easier for me to fill them that way.
If you’re reading this, you’re invited!
WIP names:
Clark wakes up alive
congratulations, it's a metaweapon!
the Last Son of Krypton meets Hypertime Kon
YJ accidental baby acquisition
Clark panic-adopts his teenage clones
snippet from “Clark wakes up alive”:
The pod is empty, Clark can already see through the walls. But he can hear a familiar heartbeat, though it sounds a little . . . different, now.
It’s been so, so long since he’s heard it, but even if he didn’t have the eidetic memory, he never could’ve forgotten it. That's Conner's heartbeat.
His brother's heartbeat.
But it's different, too.
And the empty pod isn't the only thing he can see through the walls.
“What’s the damn alarm about?” Desmond says irritably, not looking up from his work. Dubbilex doesn’t respond; Guardian shakes his head.
“Security systems are reporting a breach, sir,” he says. “Multiple doors are broken, but no one’s been spotted on the cameras. And the readings say they all broke within . . . point five seconds of each other?”
Conner doesn’t say anything either. He just sits very, very still between them, his heartbeat thrumming with a quiet, restless anxiety.
“Then lock the place down already!” Desmond snaps as he picks up a thin metal instrument with a sharp tip. Conner's heartbeat picks up.
“That will not be necessary,” Dubbilex informs them both, bland and neutral. “Superman has already let himself in.”
“What?” Guardian says, sounding startled.
“What?!” Desmond demands.
Conner’s heartbeat stutters, and Clark can’t be anywhere but in that room.
So he is, before Conner’s stuttered heartbeat has even settled, and then he’s looking at Desmond and far too many needles and medical instruments and Guardian who’s half-turning and Dubbilex who’s already facing his way and a few scattered G-nomes and G-trolls in assorted places here and there around the room and . . . Conner.
But not Conner as Clark’s used to seeing him.
Was used to seeing him, anyway.
Desmond curses, and Guardian jerks in shock. Dubbilex looks unaffected.
And the child sitting on the exam table in the center of the room stares up at Clark the exact same way a teenager once did: like he’s seeing the moon and sun and everything he thinks he’s supposed to be for the first time. Like he’s seeing something he’s waited and wanted to be.
Hoped to be, maybe.
And Clark . . .
Clark handles it differently this time, just like he’s always wished he could've.
“Hello,” he says kindly as he steps forward and ignores everyone else in the room to drop down into a crouch in front of the exam table and smile at Conner, who keeps staring at him mutely. “It’s nice to meet you."

Mighty Nein Echos of the Solstice reaction
First of all, the new art just confirms for me that the Nein are 100% the hottest of all three campaigns. holy FUCK. Also lol at 90% of them having long hair now.
I actually called Luc being Sam's PC before it was revealed! Not...not MUCH more, but when Veth didn't immediately have new artwork and she said "I have a TEENAGER", that's when I figured it'd be Luc. Look at me predicting things slightly sooner than they occur!
Did NOT call the guest PC though! Was this the fastest death? Or does Spurt still beat him out? Really did go through the full run of 9, nat 20, nat 1. What more could you ask for?
I really don't think I feel strongly one way or the other about Veth not being there and Luc being there instead. We got a lot of funny bits because of it, and it's not like Veth has fully abandoned adventuring, considering she said that next time she would. It truly seems like it was just the responsibility of the kids, which very fair. What I would love to know is Sam's thought process as to why he wanted to do it. Very intrigued.
Taliesin definitely took a few minutes to get back to Caduceus's voice, but *squeal* love him so much! Interesting that he told Yasha to 'go fuck him up', because I'm genuinely not sure if that was a bit of Ashton bleed, or if this actually broke Caduceus's desire to not swear. Could be either! XD
Yasha doing so much damage!!! Is it just because her strength score is finally good? Well, holy weapon added a bunch, maybe it's just level 20 bulk? But 110 on a NON crit??? DAAANG.
As someone who does enjoy periodic Caleb whump fanfic, this was delicious, especially his interactions with Beau. I do like that Trent ended up getting 'fate worse than death' scenario.
Combat was fun as heck even though there were things that got set up that didn't get used (crown of stars, etc), and I'm a TAD sad that Caleb ended up shapechanging as I always love some good high level spells flung around, but it was still an utter blast regardless.
SURPRISE MARRIAGE PROPOSAL!! Are they poking for another one shot?
The audience wearing Sam face masks at the beginning was the PERFECT troll move, SO MUCH.

Silly Trolls au idea that I might do more with (probably shouldn’t, I have a lot of other stuff on my plate lol) (Long post so more under Read More, this is just a ramble of an au honestly)
What if during the Great Escape from the Troll Tree, *Viva* had the Pop String? She was still lost along with multiple other Pop Trolls, and now her family have to deal with the loss of her, and the possible loss of ALL THEIR MUSIC
Would that mean that when they didn’t lose their music, they suspected she survived? Or at least someone else got it and there are some survivors? Or would the suspicion be that it’s buried in the tunnels to be forgotten, existing in a limbo as the Trolls are still able to sing and dance? Or maybe the Bergens got it, and they’re now finding a way to use it to make them happy, instead of eating Trolls?
Would they lose their music anyway, just from the assumption something bad happened? Would they be more open to gray Trolls, as it could be a possible after effect of their tribe being separated from the source of their music?
Would King Peppy reveal its existence to other elders, in case they lose their music and he needs someone to rely on? (Probably not, but let me imagine he has like two more brain cells and to not keep it hidden) Would the Pop Trolls know other music and Trolls were out there, but only know a false version of the story?
And then when Barb’s World Tour happens, how will that work out? Will Barb find a Pop Village without a String, and have no clue how to go from there? The Pop Trolls will be practically forced to reveal what happened to them, and how they lost so many Trolls over the years, and how it’s possible that the String isn’t even held by a Troll?
Will she go looking for this lost princess, or try to enter the Tunnels of Certain Death despite the warnings from Pop (if that’s because the tunnels are unstable, or that they haven’t befriended the Bergens, you decide)? Will she have to give up her whole tour, and now deal with the consequences of her actions?
The other tribes have to deal with the fact that because of the schism Pop caused, they lost many Trolls over the years to being eaten alive, cooked, baked, prepared in all sorts of culinary ways (headcanon that the Pop Trolls were captured for a LONG time, my own stories use 150 years at least). Obviously they didn’t deserve that, but in a twisted sort of sense, now they won’t lose their own music, since the Ultimate Power Chord can’t be completed
And then there’s Viva, probably only 12-15 years old, having defended her people, started a community, and hold the ENTIRETY of their music in her hands. Would she keep it on her at all times? Would she switch the harp/lyre for another instrument, one that’s not so suspicious? Would she find a way to hide it in Putt Putt Village, scared but content it’s the only way to keep their music safe? Paranoia says Bergen might show up, and even if she’s a happy-go-lucky Pop Troll, who’s to say someone might try to steal it? It’s powerful, honestly a weapon, it will keep her people safe and hopeful. And she promised her dad to take care of it, and she doesn’t want to disappoint. Her people’s legacy and music is in her hands, it’s a lot of responsibility. Might she even think that the other Pop Trolls lost their music since she has the String, and it’s clear they’re far away from each other. (She wishes she could share the magic of their music with her baby sister)
Anyway that was a lot of ramble for an idea that struck me 15 minutes ago
(Ps: if anyone wanna do something with this concept, feel free to do so, all I ask for is credit and to be tagged so I can see :D )

Ethedis for the LOTRO ask game?
(for this ask game where you send in one of my OCs, and I give you a synopsis of what it would look like if they were the main NPC in a tutorial quest)
o hmm, I think there's a way I could be a little mean about this heheh
so I think that I mentioned at some point that before the elf intro, Ethedis had actually befriended Amdir. I haven't fleshed out all that much of it up until now, but I'm thinking this could be a short adventure with Ethedis and Amdir where you could see them being besties (before The Horrors)
this will probably just have to be one instance, as it would flow best into the Elf or Human starting zones and we don't need to stack two entire intro questlines on top of each other lol
(under the cut bc How Did This Get So Long??)
I think it actually starts in Rivendell, with the Player Character (probably an elf/human only intro) preparing to leave on the expedition to Ered Luin, at which point you are introduced to Elrond's excited young apprentice Ethedis, and the Ranger Amdir who is going to tag along for part of the trip but plans to part ways in Bree.
Fast travel to somewhere in the wilderness of the Trollshaws, you Ethedis and Amdir are a little ways ahead of the group to make sure the road is clear. Surprise! wood-trolls! combat tutorial! After the fight Ethedis will remark that it was the first time she's actually had to put her combat training to the test against a real foe, which surprises Amdir, who says that he wouldn't have guessed it was her first real fight. One of them might ask the player character about their combat experience, which would allow you to pick from a few different responses (always a fun roleplay option and tbh I wish they would use it in more quests). I think if the PC says they're also inexperienced Amdir will mention that he's very glad you're both catching on quickly and didn't get hurt (bc he would not have fun explaining how he let two newbies get injured on his watch, and would feel very bad. classic protective Ranger moment)
Fast travel again to somewhere in the Lone Lands, you all are camped near Weathertop. Ethedis is talking about the history of the area (it sounds like she's been talking about this for a while now), and overall seems very excited to be here and see this historical site in person. Amdir smiles and says he's glad that she's interested in Dunedain history, as it brings him comfort to know that others still wish to keep his people's history alive. Your character might be prompted to give an opinion on Ethedis' loredump, either saying they found it boring (which Ethedis will simply laugh off and say that's probably why she's not a minstrel, but Amdir will just glare at you) or say it was interesting (which will prompt both her and Amdir to loredump even more)
Once you make it to Breeland, somewhere in South Chetwood, Amdir says that he must part ways here. Ethedis says she's sad to see him go but hopes to meet him again once the expedition to Ered Luin is done, and Amdir will tell her that he looks forward to it if such a meeting can be arranged, but tells you both to be careful in your travels (vaguely alluding to a growing danger in Breeland.
Then you can have two different outcomes depending on your race:
If you're a human, you part ways with the Ered Luin expedition at the same time as Amdir. He will bid you farewell and safe travels, and says that he has urgent business to attend to before disappearing into the woods without further explanation (as Rangers are wont to do). Your quest objective tells you to head to Bree-Town, but after you've been heading in that direction for a while you run into a large group of Brigands and get knocked on the head. Wake up in the Blackwold jail, human intro progresses mostly as normal from that point onward (but without the combat tutorial) although Amdir's quest dialogue would be different. If we want to get really mean, maybe one of the last things he says to you as himself is something along the lines of "I fear... I will not make it to see our friend again... tell... tell her that I tried"
If you're an elf, shortly after Amdir departs Ethedis will offer to explain to you the history of Edhelion as it was told to her by her mother before she left for the Havens. Then you get the old elf intro instance but cut down a bit and framed as a flashback, there will also be an elf woman there with a vaguely familiar face holding a baby in her arms (it's never explicitly stated, but that's Ethedis' mom and baby Ethedis), she will be there when Ethedis' dad Talagan brings down the library and she collapse to her knees in a sobbing heap when it happens. No one draws attention to her but she's still There. Anyway after that you arrive in Ered Luin, quests progress as normal but Ethedis is along for the ride. Like when you go to talk to the survivors of Edhelion, Ethedis will be in the ruins with some quest comments ("Even after all this time, I can sense the sorrow in this place..." "The land remembers it like it was yesterday, and I understand now why we still leave it abandoned" and "I think this may have been my parent's house. And to think, we all could have lived here together..."), she's also going to have Opinions about the Dourhand's borderline-worship of Skorgrim lol
After everything in Thorin's Hall is over with, she will disappear for a little bit but rejoin the story during the united elf/dwarf assault on Rath Tarag. When she hears that you're planning to go to Bree next, she will ask you to try to find Amdir and see how he's doing (surely you'll only have good news! surely!)
Later on you might run into Ethedis in Rivendell, and she'll have a short quest for you, talking about missing your fallen friend but finding comfort in your shared memories of him (very similar in tone to Gorwen's quest in Thornhad after finishing Before the Shadow) Amdir was the first mortal friend she knew, and she didn't realize how much this loss would sting. Overall it's a bittersweet reunion.
(man I really saw Ethedis and was like "the elf into didn't give her enough trauma. she's connected to the human one too!" someone please make me Give Her A Break)

Hello my dear Essie! I know that I'm really jumping the gun here, so if you don't want to answer these, that's totally fine!! But if it's ok, can I please get 12, 14, and 21 for Steve x Decks??
Kris!! No worries!!! I’m so happy to answer these, but just keep in mind, they’ll happen far in the future once the two of them get through the many obstacles in their way (including themselves lol). This is WAY MORE long-winded than I had intended, so I hope it scratches that itch. I really do love writing for them, so ask as much as you want!!
For The Rainmaker Series
12. Do they have a difficult time when separated from each other, or are they fairly independent?
Steve and Decks are both quite independent and business-oriented, so even when they’re together, their time can often seem scheduled. It’s not too difficult when they’re apart because neither one is particularly clingy, but in times of separation, they’re sure to schedule a call once every few days at least, if not, once a day. While they may try to be strict on that, it doesn’t keep them from not wanting to hang up the phone and saying “wait, one last thing before you go” to each other. But overall, they deal with it pretty well, or at least much better than Bucky and Bee. The only difference people see when they’re separated for a little is Steve starts to turn inward somewhat, giving terser responses and less warm gazes and conversations, and Decks becomes a little short-tempered, things bothering her quicker than they normally would for her already no-nonsense behavior.
14. Do they enjoy PDA, or are they more private with affection?
Do they enjoy PDA? Not really. They’re both quite private and appear proper to those around them. Sticklers for following rules and customs, and happy to keep that affection to themselves. The most you may see out in the open is hand holding or a forehead kiss, maybe a cheek kiss, but almost never lips. They’ll sit close and whisper jokes in each other’s ears, or roll their eyes at Buck and Bee, laughing quietly amongst themselves, but that’s pretty much it. Oh! And of course they enjoy a good dance😉
21. Do they enjoy domestic life?
Yeah, I’d say so. Decks and Steve already live pretty domestic lives on their own. They both have their own places, which comes with cleaning, cooking, maintenance, and bills. Steve has a cleaner employed, although he hardly uses them since he’s almost never home and can keep tidy on his own. He’s a big fan of meal prep and everything having a place. Due to his schedule, though, he tends to get home late, which often ends up in takeout food. Decks has no issue cleaning, but she’s honestly not the best cook. She can get by, and what she makes is edible, but it’s nothing like her parents can make and she’s just grateful she’s only cooking for herself in case her learning attempts fail. When she and Steve get together, she doesn’t want to be expected to cook for him. She knows how all those other mafia wives can be and she doesn’t want that expectation, and he doesn’t place it on her. She’s got her own life and doesn’t want to be subservient to a man. He wouldn’t have it any other way than an equal partnership. So Steve makes the effort to be home earlier, even if he has to leave again after to go back to work, just so he can spend dinner with her. She’s quite regimented on needing food in her mouth before 6pm, otherwise she’ll become an absolute troll, and not in the cute way. The two of them go to the bookstore and pick out and purchase a cookbook, finding recipes they want for the coming week so they can stock up on those groceries, and then learn to cook them together. When they’re not both called in to the weird demanding hours of their jobs, they lay on the couch, her cold toes tucked under his warm thigh, as they watch a show, and then after, she pulls up a YouTube video explaining the lore surrounding it. Side details: Decks also has a good deal of house plants, and as we’ll see in the next few chapters, loves a good pasta. Maybe one day the two of them will get a pet.

u and ur tattle tale anons need to grow up. none of u need to visit l chat when u clealry hate the place. if u people didn't encourage that annoying beth mead stan 90% of the ellie trolling there wouldn't even happen. u and ur anons bait and feed her and it makes the trolling against ellie and daan worse but u do it so u can play victim and get ur sassy, snarky little digs in. u have to admit ur own role in perpetuating the abuse too. take a good hard look in the mirror and reflect on what u could do differently.
So many projections and assumptions on this ask, LMAO. Time for an I Ain’t Reading All That response, but you asked for it.
1. Why would I go on LChat? Not that I care to vlog my every day life, but there’s so much more to my world than wasting my time with barbarians on an anonymous, clamorous environment like LChat. I’m not attached enough to sport or faceless discourse to write full think pieces on the internet–of all places–when I can have civilized conversations with football fans offline, who don’t care for such things either.
2. I’ve always been transparent about my staunch distaste for certain systemic ideologies, long before Mead has revealed her nature btw. Club rivalry aside, I’ve expressed my disappointment and disapproval for her politics and Arsenal stan culture, but beyond that, realize I have her muted because I don’t trust her self-censure abilities. You’ll find I don’t have to make any serious effort toward keeping up with what doesn’t pique my interest, or anybody I don’t even find physically and morally attractive. She blows up anyway because she’s behind the steering wheel and buries herself in controversies. TLDR: Anything I know of her, I know against my will. She’s not interesting enough to even bait and typing this up is the most I’ve cared.
3. “If you people didn’t encourage…the Beth stan wouldn’t…” Be for fucking real sweetheart. Beth stans are relentlessly obsessive of Ellie/Daan and that’s unequivocally on them to stop consuming content they know triggers them, LOL. (And why should that trigger them?) These are full grown adults, as are you apparently. I’m honored though how you’ve shifted this responsibility to me.
4. One quick Twitter search will tell you no fan ever needed my encouragement. 1.5K quote tweets on an Arsenal team photo will tell you people with any working mind are antagonized all on their own accord.
Maybe Mead should change her politics? If it affects you so deeply, maybe you should spend less time on LChat? Maybe LChat should do better to tighten up security. Maybe take your own advice and take a hard look in the mirror than whine about the clicks that led you to your computer screen? Be a bit more proactive, yeah? Ignore what you don’t want to see and go out more? Maybe you and any other stan in shambles should hop off my dick and stop inviting yourselves and your narratives into people’s relationships and spaces that aren’t your own? Maybe you all need to learn to look at couples and contrasting opinions without taking it so personally? Maybe you should just stop being offended?
Utilize the block button more, baby. If I’m known for my strong opinions and everyone knows this is my politics, then why deliberately camp on my silly little blog anyway? Why become so distraught when other people find politics like that oppressive and offensive? Am I supposed to “stan” someone I don’t agree with? Should I refrain from voicing my opinions so you don’t cry about it at night? Why should everyone remain the same but it is only I who should change for someone like you? Who made you god?
Anyway, back to my cooking lmao feel free to screenshot and reread as needed. Whatever gets through the crevices of your skull.

If you were in charge of an adaption of the Black Swordsman, Conviction, and so on arcs and you could make whatever additions or cuts you wanted, what stuff would be added or cut?
Thanks for the ask!
Immediate thought: Cut Moonbaby. Change the fetus into some kind of fucked up puppy looking thing which just exists to symbolize Guts' own pathetic inner darkness as a more objective counterpoint to the Beast of Darkness (which is what I think the fetus' original role was before Miura went ham with the baby shit). During the Conviction arc it doesn't save Casca a bunch of times, rather Casca is endangered less often and escapes from the occasional danger in ways that don't require magic.
No werebaby plot, if the Casca kidnapping turns out to be vital in some way and not something easily changeable into something else then Griffith shows up to kidnap her for other made up reasons, like, say, he needs someone with the brand of sacrifice to do some kind of magic thing, or something. If the Casca kidnapping plot turns out to be little more than an excuse to get Guts to Falconia then Guts just goes to Falconia to try to fight Griffith once Casca turns out to not be a good distraction.
Oh and of course there's no ambiguity wrt Griffith's feelings - we see inside his head at the Hill of Swords, he's going 'oh shit my heart's fluttering again,' and that's the last we get of NGriff's point of view. I feel like that would make his subsequent placidity with occasional hints of emotion even more fun.
I'd adapt the Black Swordsman arc very faithfully otherwise, including opening with the demon sex scene because I don't care, I think it's a fantastic opener, it would set that Verhoeven-esque tone I love perfectly. Guts blows her head off with a quip, cut to credits, cut back to Guts' more somber and haunted glance back at the corpse as he walks away, boom, perfect Berserk opening.
Also with the start of the Millenium Falcon arc I'd reframe Farnese as the point of view character and put Guts at a bit more of a mysterious distance, to mimic how his followers see him, and also to kind of underline his emotional ambiguity. I think canonically he's repressing his complicated feelings, and I think making his feelings kind of unknown but hinting that he's not taking Casca to Elfhelm solely for love would convey that complicated feelings vibe more overtly. Plus Griffith parallels. Make the last time we're in Guts' head for a whole arc like, the scene where he assaults Casca (which I would keep, if we're keeping the Eclipse rape) and we'd leave him on a very dark note and also suggest that he may have a strong emotional reaction to his own actions there, without showing exactly what that reaction is beyond hiring a babysitter lol. It would help fix the impression in canon that Guts just doesn't even have much of a reaction to it.
Oh and if we're centering Farnese more then I think she should have a longer arc of reconciling her religious black and white thinking with her new perspective, rather than a single fucking montage lol. This should be a process throughout the whole Millenium Falcon arc, so I guess I'd add some scenes where she still acts like a spoiled brat, maybe it takes her longer to treat Casca with decency and she has a revelation about protecting her that changes her attitude, still treating Serpico like a servant in an obnoxious way, either denying responsibility or being overly consumed by catholic-y guilt at points, etc. The whole point should be watching her slowly grow, not 180ing her personality.
Also Isidro goes home after the troll shit. Old Village Dude shows him the error of his ways. And consequently Puck is fun again.
Anyway yeah I think that's it. This was fun, ty!
If you're interested I've written a long answer to a similar question that includes the Golden Age here.

I've been following you on here pretty much since you started blogging and I just found out I've also been following you on Twitter without realizing it 🤣
People say Tumblr is just as bad as Twitter, what's your opinion? I lurk on both, but I feel like I see a LOT more firsthand craziness on Twitter, but mostly responses to craziness (usually from Twitter) on Tumblr.
Do you think the vibe on Tumblr is gonna change if Twitter dies?
Lol it's like the deck of the digital Titanic over there... Everybody's scrambling to consolidate their mutuals, get their new SM profiles out and get their parting shots in
I had some friends point out that I mostly successfully lurked on Twitter and then when everyone was sharing their tumblr/insta links with their moots for the possible digital titanic (lmfaoo! Love that) of Twitter, I figured I would too. And they then said it was like I just did a face reveal. The shock some people had 😅🤣 and now I'm feeling a little exposed on Twitter. Lol but that's okay, I'm deleting the post later so the few who saw it, yay. Let me know if we are moots or not anon and if you want to be lol
Tumblr media
I don't think Twitter is actually going anywhere anytime soon. I don't think it's going to capsize on us like Titanic, although the amount of panic over it right now is very Titanic 🤣 I think it's going to be a slow painful agonizing death that gets drawn out. Lol unfortunately. Maybe Elon can pull his head out his ass long enough to ask for help and maybe it can be turned around
Tumblr media
Tumblr has survived through every time people thought the site would go down. It survived through every other social media crash. It's adapted, overcome, and gone straight back to its own specialized verison of a hellsite as it always has. At least, from my experience. Lol it'll probably be an adjustment period. Especially as people from Twitter try to bring Twitter culture over onto tumblr and have it not work quite as well. But I think overall it'll be fine. The nice part in MY experience with tumblr is that what you see is VERY easy to curate. You only have to see things from blogs you follow or tags you follow. You can block out specific words or tags if you want so that even if you get asks, you won't get some with certain words in it. Or you won't see posts with certain words or tags in it. Whereas on Twitter, even if you curate your timeline very well, it's still super easy to stumble across alot of drama and hate. Now, I mostly only find that on tumblr if I go looking for it, if it gets sent to me in DMs or a troll shows up in my ask box. And I haven't even blocked any tags, just a few accounts here. I will say, for anyone new from twt, enjoy learning tumblr. I've been here for a while, have only been blogging for little over a year though, but I still don't always know or understand what I'm doing or how it works. Lol good luck!
Tumblr media
Anyways, if you found me on Twitter with my little announcement to my moots. No you didn't 😅 lol keep it to yourself, but feel free to DM me, talk to me, or engage with me over there as well. I'm pretty chill over on Twitter honestly, but I enjoy it still! I'm still jikook focused over there, but much more of just a bts account too.

You Can Fit Anna-thing In There
This is one of the most bizarre things I’ve written, LOL. It’s total crack. Absolutely absurd.  It came from me mentioning to a friend how I love the trope of women pulling comically sized things from their cleavage. It just TICKLES me.  Anyway, Kristoff is looking for Anna! Where is she?  ~~~*~~~~~*~~ After searching the castle, the stables, the courtyard, and every business in town, Kristoff found himself very worried. He couldn't find Anna anywhere! She had told him she would be around that day. Not only that but Elsa was supposed to be available as well, and yet, he could locate neither of the women. No one in the castle had seen them since breakfast either. There were no meetings scheduled that day, so he wasn't sure who else to ask. As a result, he went to town and took to walking down the street peeking in every crevasse and behind every lamp post. By then it was late afternoon and he was in sort of a hurry. Kristoff loved to visit Elsa and Anna, they were like family, but he was eager to get back to the trolls, throw down a blanket made of moss, take off all his clothes, and sleep.
He could sleep in the barn but it was near impossible to doze off without the gentle glow of the trolls' gems and a clear view of the sky.
"She told me she would be around! I had to bring her a message from Bulda, and it's actually kind of important," he expressed to Sven, who nodded.
'Sven' also replied, Kristoff's arm thrown over his neck. "Well maybe she and Elsa had something urgent!"
Kristoff scoffed. "Then someone at the castle would know. They didn't, and-and! None of them seemed worried either!"
In response, 'Sven' sighed. "They often leave the castle for outings. You know how they go off to pick flowers, race bikes, and invent new holidays."
It was a fair point, and Kristoff rubbed his chin in thought. "That's true. Sometimes I wonder about their ruling methods..."
"They're unique," 'Sven' agreed, and the two took a walk toward the bridge that would take them to the courtyard.
As they did, who should step around the corner of the Leather n' Hot Chocolate Shoppe but Elsa herself? In fact, she was hurrying, and nearly collided with Kristoff. Thanks to Sven being alert and catching Kristoff with his antler, no one was hurt.
"Kristoff!" she exclaimed, startled. She was wearing the blue ice dress she'd been wearing when Kristoff first met her. She was an absolute stunner in it, no matter how many times he'd seen her in it. Of course, she was a little too clean and neat to be his type, but a man had to appreciate.
"Elsa! I've been looking all over for you! Well, technically I was looking for Anna, but I could pass the message to you - where have you been?"
Elsa blinked, and then smiled. "Oh. Yes, I'm sorry. You see, I decided to take Olaf to have a sleepover with Marshmallow. Anna really wanted to come along and we had a clear schedule, so I said sure. We packed a picnic lunch and went to the Ice Palace. While we were there, Olaf and the snogies insisted we play "What's in the Hole?", which is a game centered around a small building error from when I first made the palace. It's too much to get into but the rules are a little complex and well...I suppose I was late coming back."
Kristoff remembered that game and an involuntary shudder hit both him and Sven briefly. "I see. You're back now then! But..." He looked around them. A few Arendellians were walking around, going about their daily routines and chatting with each other. He knew a couple of them but none were the other individual he was looking for. "Where's Anna?"
"Oh!" Elsa's hand shot to her mouth as it hung open in alarm. "It has been a bit long! Hang on," she told him, and proceeded to drop her hand to her chest.
Kristoff didn't know what to expect, but he was a little nervous when Elsa tugged at the front of her dress. It already ran low enough on her chest, and Kristoff wasn't sure how he felt about his attention being drawn to that part of her body.
As she tugged the icy material away from her skin she offered him an apologetic look. "Sorry, I need a little more room."
"More...room?"
"Yes," she answered as she raised her other hand. Her fingers traced across her pale skin and into her cleave. She grunted and leaned over just a little bit as her fingers seemed to feel around and then slowly she pulled them out. And unbelievably...
There was a familiar red braid in her fingers. Elsa pulled upward slowly until she actually had a grip on the braid in her hand. "Ugh! Ah- there-" She let go of her dress and reached her other hand  in to retrieve another braid.
Elsa tugged both braids and Anna's head slid easily up from between her breasts. Her teal eyes blinked rapidly as if she was just waking up. Her mouth was slightly open. She looked pretty unphased though, as her neck and shoulders cleared the cleavage.
"Anna, little help here?" Elsa requested and leaned forward more.
"Sorry!" Anna answered and next her arms popped out. She reached them down and let her hands dangle briefly before she grasped Elsa's hips. Then she started to push herself out. Elsa took hold of her waist and proceeded to further push and pull her sister out, and eventually Anna half tumbled onto the street.
Usually Kristoff would have stepped forward to help but he was so flabbergasted that instead, he stepped back. Anna was in her green and black dress, with short sleeves and complete coverage over her own chest. She stood up with a little "ooh!" and started to dust herself off. Elsa was straightening back up and arranging her dress, but she didn't look tired or red-faced or anything Kristoff might have remotely expected in that situation. It was as if she had just taken something out of her pocket.
Before he could try to speak though, Elsa made a face. He could hear Sven whispering in his head "This is it, now it's hitting her, this is some baaaaad magic". She reached for her cleavage again and Kristoff expected the worse.
"Anna..." She narrowed her eyes and her tone grew sharp. "Really? I told you not to do this," she complained as she withdrew a half eaten sandwich in one fluid motion.
"Sorry..." Anna flashed a guilty smile and carefully took the sandwich. "I didn't finish it, and we left the basket at the palace, so..."
"Please don't do it again, it feels a little weird," Elsa replied.
"The SANDWICH felt weird!?" Kristoff asked loudly before he could help himself. Sven bonked him on the head with an antler but it didn't stop him. "I'm sorry but...the sandwich is where you draw the line?"
Both of the women stared at him, then shared a very judgmental glance between them before staring more.
"It has a lot of sauce on it...I suppose when you get food on yourself as much as you do, you wouldn't find it uncomfortable," Elsa told him, curtly.
"Elsa," Anna put a hand on her sister's shoulder.
Under Anna's touch Elsa calmed visibly. "I'm sorry, I'm  sorry. Now...why were you looking for us?"
Kristoff's mouth was hanging open as he looked between them. "I..." He tried to think. Why on earth was he there? He couldn't stop thinking about what he had just seen, replaying it over and over in his mind and knowing his nightmares were going to be terrible. "I have...absolutely no idea.."
"Right..." Anna said, scratching the back of her head. "Well, we should go back to the castle since we kind of took off..."
"And we should help with dinner prep, we promised we would!" Elsa added.
"No matter how many times the cook chases us out," Anna replied with a giggle.
Elsa laughed back. "Right. Let's go see if any of our suggestions were taken. You shouldn't bring the sandwich in the kitchen though, Anna, that's tacky," Elsa explained as she offered her sister her arm.
"I think you're right," Anna agreed and happily took her arm. "You can join us for dinner Kristoff. Hopefully you'll have remembered by then!"
Kristoff nodded slowly, but he wasn't really listening. He was starting to wonder what was in the water he had drank that day. Or maybe he ate a questionable plant by accident. When he got back to the trolls, he'd bring the whole incident up.
For the time being he only watched Anna and Elsa walk away, frozen in place.

Tagged by @authortobenamedlater: 20 questions for fanfic writers!
How many works do you have on AO3?
95. (It should be noted that I started out on FFNet, and still cross-post there, where I have 166 fics.)
What's your total AO3 word count?
682,370
What fandoms do you write for?
Primarily FMA and Captain America these days. I've also written a sizeable amount for Zelda and Sherlock, besides a smattering of other fandoms (usually just one or two fics apiece).
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Lol, these are all Captain America fics :P Nice to know where my primary readership comes from!
Make Me Whole - 269 kudos
Shards of Me - 107 kudos
Your Arms Feel Like Home - 78 kudos
Let This One Remain - 58 kudos
Remind Me Who I Am - 55 kudos
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I make it a point to respond to every comment unless it consists of just one word or a string of emojis or something. Or if someone makes a whole bunch of short comments all in a row, I might only respond to the most recent one. I know how rare it is for someone to actually comment, and how hard it is to think of anything substantial to say even if you truly loved a fic, so I want to show some gratitude for those who take the time to do so. Also, it's the best way to make friends!
What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I'm going to go with "In the Morning," an FMA fic in which Ed dies at the end, cradled in Al's arms ^^' (Currently only posted on FFNet.)
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hmm...maybe "Expecting the Unexpected"? It's a Captain America fic that ends with Steve, Sharon, and Bucky all sitting on the kitchen floor, laughing and crying together, so that's pretty happy.
Do you get hate on fics?
Hardly ever, except for the very rare troll. Most of the responses I've gotten have been very nice indeed.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Lol, no. I don't read it, so I certainly have no idea how to write it.
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Not very often, but occasionally yes! I actually have a very ambitious seven-fic one that I'd like to do someday when I have time (ha!), but that's a long way off. I don't know about craziest, but the main one I've written was an FMA/Captain America one called "All We've Got to the End of the Line," in which Steve and Bucky are alchemists trying to get their bodies back, and Ed is a superhero fighting Al and trying to get him to remember that they're brothers. Basically, just putting the characters in each other's stories/roles, because they're my top two bromances and they actually have quite a few similarities.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! There was this one random EdWin fic I wrote eons ago that someone translated into Spanish!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I think @sergeanttomycaptain has been involved enough with my Whole Shards fics that she counts as a co-writer at this point XD Particularly Make Me Whole and my current WIP, Take Me In.
What's your all-time favorite ship?
Royai is my OTP <3
What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I completed the first draft of a Death Note chapterfic that I know I'm never going to finish and post because of some drama between me and the friend I was working on it with. Kinda sucks, because that was a good story.
What are your writing strengths?
Whenever I'm asked this question, my gut reaction is always, "Lol, I have no writing strengths because if I ever write anything good, it's only by accident," but that's lame. I think maybe I'm good at endings? Scene endings, fic endings, endings that are punchy in one way or another. I know I can also make people cry, since it's happened plenty of times ^^'
What are your writing weaknesses?
Everything. Action. Differentiating dialogue styles between characters. Humor. Switching things up by not writing in complete, grammatically correct sentences all the time.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I'm very timid about doing that, because I'm paranoid about getting something egregiously wrong if I just use Google Translate or whatever. But I tried to put a little bit more of that into my WIP, and indulged myself by writing some dialogue in other languages that I can speak.
First fandom you wrote for?
Final Fantasy X was the reason I started writing fanfiction before I even knew what that was. I wanted to capture the incredible story of the game I was playing and share it with friends who didn't have the opportunity to play it, so I started writing a novelization of the game. It's pretty bad by my current standards, but it taught me a lot about how stories are put together and how to stick to a novel-length project like that and actually get it done. I also learned a lot of my fanfic preferences through writing that - for example, I posted it as I wrote it, and realized that I hate doing that because I find it really stressful, and then it's annoying to realize you want to edit earlier parts and have to go back and revise them. That's why I always finish writing my fics before I post them now.
Favorite fic you've ever written?
Make Me Whole is my baby. It still is, five years after I finished posting it. It's the beginning of my favorite AU. I have so many wonderful memories associated with coming up with the idea, writing it, sharing it with others.... I've made wonderful friends through that fic. It was the first story idea I've ever had where I got a very clear sense that God wanted me to write it, and I didn't just want to write it because nobody else would, but because I wanted to write it. Even if a dozen other people came up with the exact same idea, I wanted to write it because no one else would write it quite like I would. I can't even describe how important that has been for me. I've also seen God use it in other people's lives, which is indescribably awesome.
Tagging @rainintheevening, @kraytwriter, @katarena, and any other fic writers who want to do this.

"where is everyone??" gonna make a wild guess and say that they all actually grew up. lmao. and you're the only one still here running in circles on a website made for kids, blaming everyone but yourself lol.
I think you just collectively insulted every online friendship and long distance relationship on planet earth that ever existed and worked out.
Also, for kids? Are you kidding me? Come on tumblr ain't no club penguin. We got radicals, porn bots, uncensored world news. But I digress. Think of yourself as oh so adult if you may then. You're gonna discover eventually that you actually still like things people would call childish or cringe and regret not investing more time into things that you love. Maybe I'm more mature than you in that regard. Might come from actually interview old ass people on how to survive that long. Anyway. This blog doesn't exist to fight about ideologies.
FYI I'm blaming everyone else now because I blamed myself for this shit all the way from 2015-2019. I've spent far more time regretful, scared, overly careful and terrified than I have been barking at the injustice and rudeness and heartbreak and straight up sickening responses I've endured not just from Kath but A LOT of people who were a part of this history of ours. You know what's the dumbest shit? I forgive them all! (except Kath.. partially) Why? Because we've all been trolled and catfished by her!
This blog is a scrapbook, venting place, a conversation, a memorium. Credence to the fact that I and they and everyone exist and existed. A time capsule as well as a den where I dwell. A love letter to the past and present. This is no place of content. This is no place of excitement or a theatrical dance of asks and responses.

What are your favourite headcanons about ToA, and/or Rott? you can list them all if you want to :)
Ooooh this might be long! xD
Claire has always had shadow magic her whole life but it was dormant and she unlocked the ability to use it when she got the staff. So this is based off of the scene in Trollhunters season 1 where Claire sensed Angor Rot's presence and this was before she even knew what the shadow staff was.
Claire was training and using shadow magic before Wizards. This somewhat builds up on the previous headcanon but I remember seeing that Claire's white hair streak grew when she used shadow magic untrained. This along with the fact that she was able to make shadows and blasts in Wizards leads me to think she had been doing this beforehand and perhaps she did some kind of stunt that lead to her whole bangs becoming white. We also know by the end of TH that she was able to summon the shadow staff which requires her own use of magic, this could've been the result of Morgana possessing her and her magic growing too. A part of me gets the feeling that maybe Merlin could've been teaching her more magic while they were on route/in Hoboken. She just wasn't able to make portals yet since that requires very advanced magic, which she does get the hang of in Wizards.
Minor one but I like to think that at the end of TH, Jim, Claire and all the trollmarket Trolls walked to the nearest active gyre station and took the gyre to Hoboken since NO way on Earth can you walk ALL the way from Cali to NJ by the end of summer. NO WAY!!
Jlaire related but I love to think that while Jim and Claire were in Hoboken, they danced to Eres Tú (I believe this was in @dreaming-in-seams fanfic?). And that in the Stricklake Wedding, Jim will have it play and dance with Claire. ❤❤
I like the headcanon by @nattikay where Troll Jim was able to take his armor off and wear other clothes. I also like the idea of him choosing to become a half-troll again but with the ability to walk in sunlight and eat more human food.
Building up on that headcanon, I also like the idea of Jim being sorta like a changling and being able to change from human to half-troll or full troll whenever he needs to (saw this in group chat). This too could be a result of Douxie making him some potion for that lol. I feel like this gives him tons of freedom!
So we all know how I got mixed and heavy feelings about ROTT, particularly the ending and I like to pretend that ending NEVER happened and that Steve NEVER got pregnant and was instead a knight gathering the round table as per this post.
Another one I came up with recently were that Nari, Skrael, and Bellroc were the children of the titan Kronos (yup! From Greek mythology since TOA takes from Arthurian myth so why not) who was like their predecessor in keeping the balance. Kronos gave up his life to end a massive war during ancient Greece or something. While he was dying he told his children to carry on the responsibility and that there will come a time their titans will rise and if all else fails, the Kronisphere will be their last option to reset all of time (based off your fix it where the Kronisphere is a dangerous weapon instead). And a reformed Nari in the future tries to warn the gang to keep the Kronisphere away from the order.
As much as I hate the ROTT ending with the timeline reset and prefer to think of it as Jim's fever dream or bad storytelling lol, I do have an ideas as how to play around with it. So basically Jim and Claire practice the kiss scene for Romeo and Juliet but when they kiss, Claire gets flashes of memories from her past life of her and Jim's love story and starts to panic and run away. Jim tries to help her but she pushes him away. Like she does slowly regain her memories of them and her using shadow magic (the latter via dreams ofc) and goes back to Jim and kisses him telling him she remembers everything. Ofc everyone will get their memories back like Aja and Krel will go back to Earth based on their "feelings" or something. And Tobes probably gets horrified by the memory of him dying, idk.
There's probably more but can't remember all. Might post them some time later. Buuut thank you so much for asking! This was so much fun to answer! ❤❤

Im the one who asked about cinder being redeemed just now. I will confess I am a broken person who sees a bit of himself in Cinder. I asked it that way because I was feeling bitter from hearing people say she deserves to be killed and die in the worst way. Maybe it should not get to me but it does. Ive never been on here before but I wanted to hear what another knightfall fan had to say. I was not disappointed. Thank you.
Anon response to this ask and reply.
Hi anon, it's good to hear from you again. Yes, based on the tone and wording of the ask it sounded like you agreed with the statements you were proposing but I did suspect there may have been more motivating it so I tried to treat it with both motivations in mind.
To me Knightfall and Cindemption are inseparable so based on the context of the ask it also seemed like you hadn't read my bio or checked the pinned post or tags on The Distance Which Fools the Skimming Eye if you came from there. That's a general courtesy expected on Tumblr especially seeking someone's opinion.
I wasn't sure if it were in fact a troll ask of some type trying to stir trouble lol.
With that out of the way, I think those people who say that about Cinder are chiefly narratively ignorant and seeking for stories to be about good and bad and validating that they themselves are good.
Sympathetic bad characters, especially traumatised bad characters, are threatening. They're threatening to a binary worldview and easy answer (kill bad guy, win!!!!) and they're threatening because vulnerability is threatening.
Add in those issues I discussed in the original post and you have a lot of trouble.
I don't think that their worldview is being catered to in RWBY, because I think the Atlas arc was supposed to directly undermine this reductive style of storytelling 'analysis'. That was why Ironwood was the villain. Wrong genre, wrong worldview. He's a clash with the fairytale/narrative morality, who thinks putting Cinder in jail or killing her is the natural solution, the same as Tyrian. Tyrian, who happens to break out from his chains and kill Clover.
If you literally make your main villain of a significant arc of the story basically a mouthpiece for people who think Cinder deserves to die for being a baddie and fucked up then you're making some sort of meaningful thematic statement about what solutions RWBY is interested in.
It's the same as Roman dying by the words he lived by: a Grimm out of nowhere eats him. It's nihilistic and not interesting, but you can demonstrate that with a minor antagonist. (I also love that a Grimm protects and saves Ruby, but that's another topic).
However I do think that whilst seeing yourself in a story is very powerful and being moved by a story is very powerful, you're setting yourself up for a world of hurt inserting yourself too deeply. I do however agree the surrounding discourse is very harmful. But whatever happens with Cinder's story is not an indictment on you or other hurt people.
As a profoundly mentally ill and damaged individual, that personal distance - for me - is necessary to maintain, however much I resonate with themes of redemption and forgiveness and sorrow. Stories, to me, are doors, not mirrors.
So it may be helpful for you to practise some distance from the way people talk about Cinder (physical and mental, perhaps). It was extremely difficult for me being on Twitter after The Rise of Skywalker due to the ableist discourse surrounding mental illness and Kylo Ren's character. There was one which really affected me for a long time I don't even want to repeat because it was so sickening. But somehow Kylo Ren is worse for you than that.
I don't think I'm quite saying don't let stories move you - let them move you, I know I'm very attached to stories. But with some distance I don't let my sad girl feelings get in the way of instead identifying fundamental misunderstandings of basic storytelling.
The thing is that misunderstanding stories and misunderstanding redemption arcs and character transformation isn't just rooted in a worldview I disagree with, it's rooted in bad technical assumptions. It's mechanically poor. It's anti-story.
There's an issue with it morally, but equally there's an issue with it in just the way stories are told. I feel like the latter is something I can address better. Especially as it's something very currently culturally contingent upon Western media criticism spheres, as opposed to arguing about like, human good and evil and ethics.
I am glad I did not disappoint - I'm a show pony - but it was very troubling to receive such an ask in my box, especially with the provided context it seemed like you were a member of the group you were criticising. It was fun on my part to fully lay out my beliefs on redemption arcs, at least.
But in future it can be more helpful for me to be provided with a little more context and what you said about damaged people was very cruel. But but I understand that it sounds like you are very hurt and upset and the discourse surrounding Cinder has got to you so that is worrying. But but but what you say also has consequences for other people, I had to read what you sent and it was hurtful.
I hope you are ok and make sure to look after yourself and don't listen to the silly people online. Find your bliss. If I were you, I would ask myself what's interesting about Cinder's redemption and the Knightfall romance and what resonates with you. Don't worry about what other people think, what's the bit that makes you stay interested despite your personal pain and what people say?
Have a good day and take care.

Fic writer questions!
I was tagged by @introvertia - thank you so much :) Your answers were really interesting!
How many works do you have on AO3?
Only 8
What's your total AO3 wordcount?
141754
How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
Four: Beyblade (gen fics mostly), Shizaya (Durarara), Grimmichi (Bleach), and Harringrove (Stranger Things).
I usually sit in a fandom for a quite a while before I actually start writing anything. I'm amazed by those people who can get stuck in right away (how do you do it!?!)
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
1. end the fight; before the fight ends you
2. Bound to Happen
3. Year of You
4. Broken Boys and Butterflies
5. So come take a drink (And drown your sorrows)
All Harringrove aside from 'Bound to Happen' - which I'm rather surprised came in second because the Grimmichi fandom is waaaaay smaller than the Harringrove fandom.
'end the fight...' is also the only wip here. The rest are completed one-shots.
Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
Yes and no. It depends. I want to respond because comments really do mean a lot to me and I love rambling with people, but I have issues with online communication. Like, sometimes I write out a response and when I read it back to myself my brain just goes 'no that's terrible you sound like an idiot delete it now' and then I go 'yessir you're completely right how silly of me.'
When it comes to wips, I tend to reply to every comment when I'm getting ready to post the next chapter, that way it's like a little heads-up - new stuff incoming soon!
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?
Y'know as much as I love angst I actually prefer to have my fics end on a relatively positive note (angst with a happy ending is my shit).
But I suppose 'So come take a drink (And drown your sorrows)' is overall pretty angsty and I left the ending open so if I ever felt like continuing it I could do so easily.
Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you've ever written?
Big nah. Kind of like AU fics, they just don't interest me that much.
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Yes, but it came from someone who was just making the rounds on a bunch of Harringrove fics and they were highly suspected to be an anti so it didn't really bother me that much because I knew they were trolling.
I've had a few like, vague comments/back-handed compliments that got under my skin a bit though.
Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Yes, occasionally I do. Generally I'd say I'm pretty vanilla, but I am currently writing an a/b/o fic, though I think it might go under non-traditional a/b/o because, again, vanilla lol
My smut usually comes with a lot of introspection, like they'll be doing the deed and one of them will be internally streaming a 5000+ word monologue (I do this with Grimmjow sometimes because he's a big virgin who views sex as silly human nonsense).
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Parts of a fic, yes. I came across this fic that was clearly plagiarizing from several different authors (they forgot to change the characters names and everything) and I found entire paragraphs that were copy/pasted straight from one of my fics.
The thing is, this was over 10 years ago, something I wrote when I was... seventeen, maybe? So... I don't get why they copied it because it was pretty bad to be honest...
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes, an old one called '10 Miles in Your Shoes' (beyblade) although it was never completed because well, firstly, I never completed the original, and secondly, when the translator asked me how long I was planning on it being I said around 20-30k and uhhh... lets just say I overshot that by a mile!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No. While I think it would be interesting to try I honestly don't know if I could give up control like that!
What’s your all time favorite ship?
Hard to say because I tend to go for characters over ships. Like, I got into Grimmichi because of Grimmjow and Harringrove because of Billy.
But since Grimmjow is my all-time favourite character then, I guess Grimmichi, but Harringrove is definitely a close second because the fandom has spoiled me rotten with all their amazing fics (in terms of reading material, Harringrove is my fav).
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
'10 Miles in Your Shoes' - the bodyswap fic.
It's been a long time since I engaged with anything related to beyblade but I have a lot of fondness for this fic because it was the second I ever started writing and it was the fic that allowed me to truly grow as a writer. There's a huge improvement from the first to the most recent chapter (most recent being 5 years ago...) to the point where it looks like it could have been written by two different people, and I received so much positive feedback and encouragement throughout those years. I wish I had it in me to go back and finish it off but I struggle enough while writing for my current obsessions so it's looking more and more unlikely...
At the very least, I think I might transfer it to AO3 since ff.net seems to be slowly going under. Even if I never complete it, I don't want it lost forever.
What are your writing strengths?
This might sound ridiculous but I don't know? I always feel like I'm winging everything!!
I guess. One thing I've been complimented on a lot is my ability to portray messy (for lack of a better word) situations in a realistic way. I've been asked a few times if I've ever studied psychology and -
Nope
Just winging it!
What are your writing weakness?
EDITING!!!
I really should get a beta because I miss so many stupid little mistakes, like - okay - I always used to write in past tense, it was never something I even thought about, past tense was just the default. And then suddenly, around 2017/18, I began transitioning to present tense completely unconsciously and now every time I re-read 'Bound to Happen' I get angry because I bounced between tenses all the way through that fic and I didn't even notice until a year after I posted it.
Also. Incredibly slow. Lack of consistency. Perfectionist until I get stuck and then I feel like you can spot exactly where I lost momentum. Utterly hopeless when it comes to descriptions of setting/scenery. I don't think I'm very good at building atmosphere either. Dialogue, although I am improving at that.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I can't say I really have any thoughts on this? I don't do it much myself.
What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?
Beeeeyblaaade! I was fifteen when I wrote my very first fic (now deleted because it was awful!)
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
Oh god, this is hard!
If we're talking completed fics only, then probably 'Year of You'. That was my I-Do-Not-Accept-Billy's-Death fic but I WILL take all of the angst material from S3 and ride it hard.
If we're including wips, then both 'end the fight...' and 'metamorphosis' are probably my favourites right now.
'End the fight...' is my BIG Billy redemption fic which I started plotting out not long after S2 and there's so many scenes I'm looking forward to writing (yeah I know its been a while since i last updated but the past year has been rough okay)
'Metamorphosis' is the a/b/o fic which I was kind of nervous about at first because its not a trope that i read a lot of but i'm enjoying how its turning out so far!
Whew! That was a lot!
I'm tagging: firstly, whoever wants to do it because I like reading about peoples writing experiences (make sure to tag me!) And then: @shadowthorne @bentnotbroken1fanfiction @callieb @backwardshirt @memes-saved-me @murderlight @magniloquent-raven @aeon-of-neon @louhetar

A not-so-brief overview of my Skyrim Dova OCs bc i need to scream to the digital void about my ideas
Freyora Lind, more commonly known by her strange alias “Bjorne Icepick”
Tumblr media
A Nord-eventually-turned-werewolf who orphaned during the Great War and taken in by a Dunmeri mercenary whose residence was in Windhelm’s Gray Quarter. Grew up in a cramped boarding house setting among desperate mercenaries of varying backgrounds. Many of them would all come and go, but there was always some sort of a familial bond between them all.
From a young age she got in a lot of fights against people who insulted her for living in the Gray Quarter among the dark elves. Eventually she took a fight too far and was jailed for murder around 14, but was broken out shortly after by a band of masked vampires. Turns out some of her mercenary comrades unwittingly caught vampirism during a contract to clear out a vampire den and had to skip town, but not before ensuring one of their own wasn’t left to rot.
Lived in Cyrodil for about 15 years, but returned to Skyrim pursuing rumors surrounding a cure to vampirism, as her adoptive father would be nearing the end of his elven lifespan and had wished to die a normal death.
Seeing as she was literally a fugitive, and her long-belated parents were somewhat renowned for their battlefield prowess, she took on a false identity. AND an act to match it.
She’ll eat raw meat, chase prey with swords instead of using a bow like a normal person, harp about irrational conspiracy theories, and more. Everyone’s foul reactions to her outlandish act are plainly hilarious to her and only encourage her to act even stranger.
The alias “Bjorne Icepick” was simply the most ridiculous name she could think of.
Not the most morally outstanding. Besides drunken brawling, she’ll steal from anyone who angers her, even if it’s things she literally won’t ever need such as all the goblets in a household. It’s the pettiness that counts. “Try drinking your damn high-end wine now, jackass.”
Calls Dwarven Automatons “Gundams.” Including she herself, no one knows what that means.
Joins the Companions out of homesickness and a desire to fill in a gap that leaving home left.
Hasn’t bothered curing herself of lycanthropy because her whole schtick is being incredibly resourceful, and that includes using any means of power necessary. Still doesn’t fancy Hircine’s Hunting Grounds as her desired afterlife, though.
As her journey goes on, however, her lightheartedly eccentric face starts to fall off as a number of events push her to begin to question the legitimacy of her actions up until that point.
Some of which include the eventual death of her adoptive father (and how she was indirectly responsible for it even if it was what he wanted), Delphine’s ultimatum, the civil war as a collective, learning the tragic history behind the Falmer and the original Companions’ role in it, and killing of Vyrthur (no matter how much he genuinely deserved it).
She grows disgusted by herself down to the core. She takes to skooma to cope, and starts to be plagued by serious skooma-induced side effects. She ends up shutting herself away from all her responsibilities and distancing herself from her friends.
Does she get better? Maybe. I haven’t thought up anything past this point lol
Moureneris Alta
Tumblr media
A very, VERY ancient vampiric snow elf, (though it’s notable she was born a considerable amount of time after the razing of Sarthaal)
Survived many atrocities. Stayed in isolation with a band of vampires for countless years out of sheer disgust for the nature of the sapient races. (I’ll explain her full story some other time. It’s pretty complicated)
She was abducted from her isolated lifestyle by a certain person i’ll talk about later. She managed to free herself south of Skyrim, and uh, walks right into that Imperial ambush. The rest is history.
Super ignorant to modern society as a result of centuries of isolation. Exploited for comedic relief. (“What in the name of Oblivion is a Cyrodilic Empire? Are you messing with me? And please, how does levitation magic simply get outlawed by this hypothetical Empire? What are you to do when you fall down a crevice? Just... let yourself perish? How degrading.)
She reintegrated herself into society with vengeance in mind under the belief that all humans are savage bloodlusting murderers who had to answer for their treachery. (And she was royally angry there was no Dwemer left to spite, but partially satisfied at the same time). But she grows conflicted after being shown genuine kindness, even as early as being freed from her binds in Helgen.
Subsequently has a very muddled redemption arc. Queue Dragonborn hero stuff
She has impaired vision, but she cultivated detect life magic to aid her in daily life and combat (think Hyakkimaru from Dororo ‘19 and his soul detection or Toph Beifong from ATLA and her seismic sense). At her peak, she can detect life from about a kilometer away.
She can just barely read, but only if she holds the text incredibly close to her face, not to mention her Cyrodilic lessons were left unfinished after her abduction, making reading a very taxing process. Weary travelers are often spooked at the sight of a floating, ghastly looking elven woman with her nose pressed up against crossroad signs, and it has become somewhat of an urban legend.
Isn’t as nearly as skilled with detecting the dead and tenses up in burial crypts or around other vampires for that reason. Unfortunately, being the Dragonborn and all, she finds herself in a lot of crypts...
When questioned about her background due to her unique appearance: “Oh, yeah. My mother was one of those mer from the east. You know the ones. Dark elves, I think? And my father was one of those er, tall elv- no, sorry, HIGH elves. Yeah. They both died in a big fire or something though. It was horrible. I can’t get the noxious smell or the deafening screams out of my head. Good talk, but never ask me about that again.”
Queue sheltered old immortal antics: “Wow, you’re THAT old? Enlighten me on how it felt witnessing the fall of the Dwemer. Or perhaps the rise of Tiber Septim’s Empire. The Gates of Ob-“ “Oblivion if I know. I lived in someone’s basement for thousands of years. And I still don’t know what everyone means by Empire. You all are messing with me, aren’t you? That really annoys me.”
She ultimately returns to faith in Auri-El and makes it her life’s purpose to help the Betrayed find peace, as well as to seek out any remaining snow elf groups. Probably good friends with Gelebor or something.
Had a crush on Serana. We all know how THAT went. Damned temples.
Was originally gonna spiral into a much darker corruption arc (another ATLA comparison being Jet or Hama) but I just felt bad for her. Moureneris can have a little found peace. As a treat.
That’s her preliminary design made. I’ll need a mod to properly play her, because that right there was made by choosing Dunmer as her race. But I can’t do that. I’m on console, and while I got the Steam port a month ago, my PC’s stone age specs can’t handle Skyrim yet and I’ll need to wait until I can afford a better graphics card (thanks economic inflation)
Alexandre Armasi, jokingly nicknamed Alexandre the Curious
Tumblr media
A complete and unapologetic export of my character from a dead and unfinished DND campaign. Except there are no Aasimar in Skyrim, so he’s half Altmer half Bosmer. And his initial last name was Armas but I thought Armasi suited his Skyrim counterpart more, as subtle a change it is.
He’s mainly Bosmer in appearance and constitution, save for his hair and eyes, which are more similar to that of his Altmeri father’s.
I can’t really export his original backstory though because the campaign wouldn’t translate well into TES lore at all.
He’s a writer who came wandering into Skyrim in search of inspiration. While he mainly writes dramatic fables, he wanted to divert his focus to crafting his own bestiary and herbal compendium surrounding Skyrim’s fauna and flora. The ones at home are simply too vague to him!
He’s very altruistic, wishing to spread cheer wherever he goes, through the art of song (even though he was a cleric in DND and not a bard. My bad.) However, many of his verses are just blatant self promotions of his published fables.
But he’s too naive for his own good. Dangerously so. In fact, he says what’s on his mind with little forethought, with little grasp on the consequences of his actions, which lands him in lots of trouble. “I don’t favor him myself, but you guys kill people over Talos worship? That’s not very cool. A bit scary, if you ask me.” or “A Stormcloak rebel? Didn’t your leader kill a bunch of Reachmen rebels years back, or so I’ve heard. By the divines that’s not a man I’d make a symbol of nonconformity.”
He’s also insatiably curious. The type to ACTUALLY shove alchemic ingredients in his mouth with no knowledge of their properties, experiment with dangerous rune spells, throw rocks at pressure plates, and more. Needless to say he’s very accident prone.
Doesn’t know common curse words. People exploit this for laughs. Think that episode of Spongebob.
Everyone is a little baffled that HE of all people is the prophesied Dragonborn of legend. This agonizingly imbecilic writer who has absentmindedly wandered into burial crypts, troll dens, bandit forts, and more, too busy juggling his manuscripts to pay attention to his surroundings.
His past doesn’t exactly reflect his outlook on life. His mother and father fought in the Great War aligned with the Imperials despite their elven background. Both managed to live to see the war’s conclusion, but his father vanished without a trace shortly after, and it seems his mother knows something she won’t tell him.
With plenty of exposure to bad influences, his innocence is slowly lost throughout the course of his journey, and his altruism begins to grow twisted. But nevertheless, he maintains his jovial, social persona, except this time with much darker undertones. Kinda like a creepy dentist or something.
Whoops. He winds up becoming a feared Dark Brotherhood assassin. (Haha get it “Innocence Lost”???) He somehow deluded himself into thinking that the life of an assassin was the right thing to do. But he’s a funky little guy so he gets a pass for his heinous crimes against society
