what inspired your Link’s outfits? I love them!
Thank you! I’m not sure what inspired them but I’ll just talk about them (without pictures cuz I can’t 😔)
Sky: I really loved the green color he had from LU, how everyone had a deeper green shade while he had a lighter, more minty green shade (maybe not minty green but sh), so I went with that color cuz it suited him so well! I also like him having his sash so I keep them. His design sorta changed, I originally had him wearing more baggy clothes, but I added bracers and tightened up his clothes a tad. I also kept his green pants from the beginning of the game cuz I thought that’d look quirky. The biggest things were the sailcloth and loftwing feather. I always vibed with feather earrings, and I wanted the feather to be king, but when I actually drew it, it was a HUGE pain. So I removed it and just put it on his belt. And I put the sailcloth on his belt as well cuz I HATE drawing capes lol. Luckily drawing Sky for a bit made me realize what I liked and disliked about his design so I was able to change some things. I do love the diamond thing on his chest. Admittedly LU inspired the design a lot lol, but in the end I kept some stuff for myself :)
Minish: the Minish clothes inspired his shirt! I found his og shirt very bland so I spiced things up with a leafy shirt and called it a day UwU. I also liked him having a headband with an Ezlo pendant at the end, thought it looked cute! And I think I added some metal toes cuz what if you dropped a hammer on your feet? Anyways, it’s safe to say LU inspired a lot of these designs and I’m not ashamed to admit that (LU did NOT inspire this au tho)
Time: I was actually inspired by bonus Links with their oot Link having a vest. I thought it was a cute and gave my Time a more farm outfit. I made his shirt a more forest green and gave him a weird eyepatch to cover half his face, and then gave him cowboy boots cuz I thought they looked cool. I lvoe his pants cuz he looks like a sexy mom so there’s that lol. Also, about his hair, this is an unpopular opinion but I prefer his short and spiky hair 😔 I’m sorry to the folks who loved the long ponytail. I also added some gloves that I think are strength gloves that aren’t ungraded? Made his outfit more battle ready (in the beginning the Links were in more comfy clothes but I didn’t like that)
Legend: oh boy, he probably has my fav design lol. I sorta added this red sash thing to go against his green shirt and I think it turned out cool! And the red accents look dope as well! I’m particularly proud of his boots, which sorta resemble the Pegasus boots (I think that’s what they’re called 😭). Also I love the idea of legend link hating pants so he wears shorts. He hates pants. He’s just like me fr
Hyrule: I’m not sure how much of Lu inspired my Hyrule, but I always ADORED Lu Hyrule’s floofy hair so I kept that. I kinda like his clothes being baggy and casual, and I made his boots a little scuffed since he travels a lot. Idk what is going on with his design tho. I cant think of anything specific that I did with his design minus the boots and turtle neck (I noticed one of the designs for Zelda 2 had link in a turtle neck and I thought that was perfect for Hyrule). Yeah not many thoughts. Just like the amount of thoughts going through his head
Twi: oh boy, I just gave him a shirt that matched Rusl’s cuz it has a boob window, gave him that dumb arm thing, his ordon sash and obi, and just sorta lightly tweaked his farmer’s outfit. His boots are meant to have goat fur popping out cuz I thought that’d be cool. Plus an ordon goat on his design cuz he likes goats. Not much to say
Four: I looked at all the knights from the FS manga and tried to make him look like that. I always thought his braid and color thing was unique and showed the four colors well. I also made his clothes more white and cream colored cuz I’ve seen four Links as white and then go colorful when they split and I LOVED that. He also gets a cool cape. He sued to have more Arno but I removed it cuz he’s still a kid and I hate drawing Armor.
Windy: oh boy, I had to change his design since I aged him down, but I gave him a sleeveless overcoat since there are a lot of overcoats with pirates. I also gave him a pirate-esque shirt and made his colors more deadpan green which I ADORE. I always liked his gray pants and simple shoes so I kept those!
Spirit: it’s just his engineer outfit, nothing special lol. A boy…
Age: idk how I feel about his design, but I mixed the knight’s outfit with the champion’s tunic with a hint of the zora armor and Mipha’s scale!
Wild: I sorta mixed the Hylian tunic with the champion’s tunic. Again, idk how I feel about it but Wild has his entire wardrobe on him so I can just change his design whenever I want UwU
Warriors: made his scarf look more triangle and covering his neck, and added some pizzaz to it, idk.

I don’t post a lot of my fanon stuff here, but I really like this design so I’m changing that.
I’ve posted Lochland before, but don’t really talk about how he was originally a Legend of Zelda fan character. He’s an ancient and bitter spirit of a past hero that accompanies a different hero fan OC.
Of course, this whole thing is an au to the canon Legend of Zelda universe. The canon timeline is confusing af and I’m not dealing with that. So if I continue to post about my fanon Zelda universe, don’t expect things to line up with canon 100%
Okay, now for the character himself
Lochland is an incarnation that came before Majora’s Mask. The reason why his name is Lochland and not the usual Link is because of… well, Lochland wasn’t meant to be the hero in the first place. In my au, heroes are predetermined before they are born. Their spirits are handcrafted by the goddesses and are reincarnated just in time to stop Ganon. However, Ganon managed to catch the goddesses off guard, making it impossible for them to send a hero in time. So instead, the goddesses put the hero’s soul into a mortal who was already of age to defeat Ganon, and that mortal just so happened to be Lochland. The reason as to why he was chosen will be discussed in a later post, I’m sure.
Anyway, as the hero, he fought in the war against Ganon as the general of the Hylian Army. He took a lot of injuries in battle, losing his foot and ear being one of them.
In the end, he defeats Ganon but is cursed by the demon king’s final breath. A curse that trapped him with every future incarnation of the hero.
As a spirit, he watches every hero after him relive his worst traumas, maybe even becoming more traumatized than him. And he watches them do horrific things at such young ages. It hurts him and makes him grow bitter. Bitter towards the goddesses that he believed forced them into this vicious cycle. And in retaliation, he tries to keep the future heroes from completing their duty… which becomes a problem for the goddesses and Hyrule.
And that’s all I have to say about this little au for now! I’ll probably post things from both Foranon and this Zelda AU from now on. I hope you like them :]

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO FLIPFLOPPED!! (+Massive Art dump.)
---------------------
We finally made it guys. Flipflopped is officially one year old. It's honestly incredible how fast time has flew by. To be honest, I never thought the blog would ever make it this far. I didn't think I would've even made Flipflopped after the failure that was Pigster's Underswap and me trying to set all these goals and put in all this effort into a take on Underswap that was going absolutely no where.
But after pitching the idea of Flipflopped to a few friends and family. They encouraged me to expand on the idea of "Alphys and Undyne swapping with Sans and Papyrus" and this created Flipflopped. I am so happy that I made a blog for this AU, because to be honest. Making an original AU (Roleswap or not) is alot more fun than creating a take on another AU.
I wanna thank everyone who stuck around to see the AU grow and become an actual thing. Without Randomguyed, Gold, Ms. Tyous and many others helping me out, this AU wouldn't be the way it is now. You all are amazing and thank you so much.
But you probably want some content to celebrate the anniversary, don't you?
Well don't worry my friends, for this post. I will be sharing to all of you some of Flipflopped's oldest doodles and pieces of artwork, some artwork being cool little concepts for the AU that are still used in someway today, and even some old designs that didn't make the cut, and I will be giving some context to most of them.
So here are the doodles!!
--------------------
Tumblr media
Ahhh. This doodle is where Flipflopped all began. The idea of Papyrus swapping with Undyne in an AU is something I wanted to do since I first joined the fanbase and it was just a year ago that I tried making a design for said AU, and this is when Undyne got her first design for Flipflopped. It's incredibly simple and kind of boring, but I did like the colors for the armor even though there purple armor mixed with Undyne's colorful body made the design a little cluttered. But hey. Nothing's perfect in the first try.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alphys had a few designs at first before getting the Flipflopped Alphys design we had now. The first image had Alphys's first ever design and was probably the weirdest design of the three where she had a BLUE jacket with Red and Yellow stripes on them with BLACK pants and also had Red stripes on them. Yeeeah I didn't know what I was thinking with the first design and ditched it immediately due to her looking like Classic Sans. Although the jacket in the first design was believe it or not, supposed to be there for the sake of making a Stranger Things reference... yeah, not the best idea. But you can see in the other two design ideas that I was trying to go with a more lab coat-ish design and the didn't work well either. Although. You can see in the second all the elements that eventually lead to Flipflopped Alphys's current design, and not to toot my own horn, but I feel like Flipflopped Alphys is probably one of the most fitting designs for Alphys is Sans's role.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you can see here, Undyne's design changed again to have it resemble her Undying form a little bit but the problem was the colors were still all over the place, but you see how this will eventually become Flipflopped Undyne's current day design. I might touch up on the armor to make it look a little less like Underswap Sans's design and look more unique. Oh yeah, and Undyne has a tunic on because it was supposed to be a reference to Link's tunic for Zelda.
Tumblr media
Hapstablook/ TonTon's design changed drastically because at first he was possessing a robot body like Classic Mettaton. I could've still gone with Robot Mettaton design still, but there was just one issue with Robot TonTon. The fact that there is absolutely no way TonTon would be able to get a robot body that would survive the test of time, and with Alphys not being the Royal Scientist in this universe, she wouldn't have enough knowledge in Science to give TonTon a robotic body. But I'm still happy with TonTon's ghost design.
Tumblr media
The very first doodle of Frisk and their design even to this day is inconsistent. Lmao. This is also back before I made the change to make Ruins Dummy a Human in this AU instead of a Ghost. But I am still happy about the change... also ignore the fact Frisk doesn't have a nose in this doodle.
Tumblr media
And here is Papyrus. He is actually very close to his current day design. The first time I showed this to my friends though, I didn't notice how I used Captain America colors, so they gave this design the nickname "Captain Papyrus".
Tumblr media
A concept doodle of how Maddie's first encounter would go for a hypothetical Flipflopped comic. Oh yeah and it also uses the old Maddie design.
------------
Unfortunately Tumblr kinda sucks so I'll have to show you more art in another post. But I hope you find these old doodles interesting. There's going to be a few more things for the anniversary so stay tuned for that. But for now, Happy 1 year Anniversary to Flipflopped. May this AU continue to grow and improve and hopefully we can get closer to having Flipflopped become a game or get itself a sprite comic. Thank you all for following the blog. I suoer appreciate all your support.

Hey! I’m in a hug sksw mood lately, any spare headcanons or anything? Sorry to bug you lol
don't apologize!!!!!!! I love getting asks!! (i'm gonna mix headcannons and theories here)
- So after the events of Sksw, Link and zelda really like music and instruments, link tries to build new ones, zelda learns as many as possible
-one of the things link builds becomes the spirit flute from spirit tracks, and another the ocarina of time (since its hinted at in hyrule historia that it might be made of timeshift stones)
- If link tried, he'd be a good blacksmith, since he's got a good attention to detail with his woodcarvings
-i've mentioned this in another post, but that was a long time ago, so the scattershot? Gondo upgrades the catapult part, but link carves the new base to look like his loftwing
-speaking of the loftwing, link has separation anxiety
- when told to go to therapy, Ghirahim just gets a therapy dog, the people who want him to see someone arent happy abt it, but they can't hate the dog
-(theory) the old one in the beginning of the game says that zelda got to the surface wrong, meaning Hylia's original plan was for Link, Zelda, and Fi to explore together as friends
-(theory) SPEAKING of hylia's plan, i see a lot of stuff on youtube from zelda theorists about the time paradox in sksw, heres my take: Hylias plan is what happened in the past, nothing else until you alter it. like the fruit of life, it would be pretty dumb for hylia to plan for the dragon to almost die, right? hence why its not there at the beginning of the game
- (headcannon) the gerudo exist in sksw and ride those big snail-crab dudes in lanayru (the electric ones that roll at u)
-so when the statue of the goddess falls to the ground, there is still the secret area of remlits that fall with it, introducing remits to the surface. the bird population drops dramatically (THEY ARE F L Y I N G CATS)
-(Idea if they ever made zeldas story playable) how about mental dungeons??? like to unlock her powers, she goes through both the ones in sws, but also some mental ones to recover memories of hylia, also alongside impa, Hylia is the guide character in that game. (i know this contradicts my hylia is dead headcannon but hey game design man)
-Along with a sword, I think Zelda would use crossbows and lances, they have to teach other weapons besides swords in the academy, right?
-Karane's favorite species on the surface is the kiwkis, pipit's is the Parellas, Groose likes the tiny birds, Cawlin likes the mogmas, Stritch. well. yeah, and fledge likes the robots
-(ghirahim lives au) Ghirahim hates Yuga. he just does. his favorite of the following zelda villains is vaati, with zant not too far behind
-nobody tells zelda or ghirahim about the lumpy pumpkin chandelier. Pumm gives link the stink eye and they are just bewildered
-in lorule skyward sword, skyloft is an underground city, big moles replace loftwings, the surface is still called the surface, now with a different meaning.
-I like the ghirahim is lorules master sword theory because its funny and cool, but it would be like 100x funnier if ghirahim was just teleporting between lorule and hyrule during sws cause sws ravio was calling on him
EDIT: how could I forget!
-Ghirahim just keeps showing up and people get tired of telling him to leave so he just hangs out

LoZ AU- The Courage of Running Away Part EIGHTEEN
This story is at the point where if you haven’t read the previous post you’re gonna get out of context spoilers so go do that if you haven’t!!
#AU August
#LoZ AU: The Courage of Running Away
Gerudo City Square is hushed at Dinravi’s sudden call for Ghirahim to stop, until he gathers himself and continues:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image Descriptions: Dinravi looks shaken, but he’s speaking firmly.  “I refuse to be why you make an orphan today,” he says.  Ghirahim, furious, gestures downward and bellows “He was trying to KILL YOU!”  “And you’ve neutralized the threat!!” Dinravi shouts back.  “Do you REALLY think he’s a DANGER now?”  Ghirahim grumbles, rolling his eyes.  “FINE,” he says, then dismisses his sword.  Astramorus closes his eyes and flops his head on the street with a groan.  Eltani stares at her son. “Belovéd, what’s going on?” she asks sternly.  Dinravi suddenly blushes. Link rushes to Astramorus, falling to his knees, then yanks him up into his arms, much to Astramorus's surprise, and buries his face in his father's shoulder. Ghirahim rolls his eyes.  Zelda approaches them.  “Lord Astramorus...” she says.  “You REALIZE this is a GRAVE offense.”  Astramorus doesn’t answer, only staring to the side as if to say “of course.”  Link looks irritated, tears tracking down his face to match his father’s.  Eltani says, “I’m still a BIT more concerned as to why a DEMON LORD just saved my son, me dear.”  Dinravi starts to say, “Well-” when Ghirahim interrupts with “Oh PLEASE, Chief Eltani, LIKE YOU REALLY DON’T KNOW,” flipping his hair and rolling his eyes.  “Don’t backtalk my mother,” Dinravi tells him. Quietly Eltani tells Dinravi, “We're having WORDS later Belovéd, and he answers “yes Mama” as they descend the stairs to join Queen Zelda and her group, which includes Impa, Tonbo and Marla as well as at least one Hyrulean soldier in armor.  “All right, then, HOW?” Zelda asks Ghirahim.  “You DISAPPEARED from history, it was always assumed you’d been SEALED AWAY.”  Ghirahim smiles, not kindly, down at Link and Astramorus, still on the ground.  “Ah, you know how these things HAPPEN,” he says, then sits down next to Link and Astramorus and leans in towards them.  Link glares and tightens his hold protectively, while Astramorus leans away in obvious horror.  Ghirahim grins flirtatiously.  “Some OTHER little priest with more fervor than sense,” he says.  He then lazily waves his hand.  “He just kept going ON and ON about BLOODLINES and BALANCE- Quite frankly I only left him ALIVE because he was so POLITE.”  He then adds more quietly, “well, that and being SHIFTED ACROSS DIMENSIONS while also being AWAKENED takes a lot out of even a demon.”  Astramorus has looked down, as if thinking. “And did this priest have a NAME?” Zelda asks, frowning. Ghirahim puts a hand to his mouth thoughtfully and hums.  “I’m trying to REMEMBER, actually,” he says.  “One of those silly LONG ones.”  He then reaches to straighten Astramorus’s hair, leaning into him with a grin, much to Astramorus’s horror and Link’s irritation.  “Maybe YOU know him, little priest,” he says, then begins to list traits, counting on one hand.  “Glasses, red robes, a round face and nose, elderly, white hair, short, HIGH RANK, far as I could tell-”  Both Link and Astramorus’s faces dawn realization, and they shout the name at the same time: “SERENUMBRA?!”  Ghirahim grins, sliding down against Astramorus as he points lazily at them.  “Thaaat was it,” he says with a grin, then sits up in surprise.  “WAIT, you DO know him? I was just being SMART with you.”  Astramorus gasps, falling back against Link in shock.  End ID.]
So to make it clear btw the reason Astramorus shouted Dinravi’s name at the beginning of this sequence is because he was fully prepared to take the consequences of assassinating a prince and didn’t realize Ghirahim is immune to long ranged attacks.  That’s also why he makes that face when Zelda points out how serious what he’s done is.
Tumblr media
[Image description: Link glaring up while Astramorus looks numbly off to the side.   They both have tears running down their faces. There is a caption which reads: “Not a good time!” in a font and style similar to the same BotW message that plays when one tries to have Link sit by the fire somewhere the game doesn’t allow.  End ID.]
Incidentally I think I’m doing well now at making them look related to one another; Astramorus’s character design really didn’t solidify until I decided he had to look like he could be Link’s biological father.
Ghirahim has turned into a huge fucking dork in this AU and I’m pretty cool with that.
Anyway “the guy who summoned a fuckin demon lord and sent him off to corrupt Prince Dinravi to the Dark Side in the name of something something religion maybe” is actually Serenumbra’s original character concept, the fact that he’s done this was in the background his entire conversation with Astramorus.
Tumblr media
[Image description: Serenumbra adjusting his round glasses with a wicked grin. They are doing the anime evil-dude-with-glasses flash with a VEEN.  End ID.]

hi just wanted to say i rlly like your art and also would really like to hear more about your loz ocs. their designs are so pretty.
OH HEY THANK YOU THAT MEANS A LOT TO HEAR
I don’t even know where to start w them I spend. too much time thinking abt them the barebones of their “story” is mapped out p clearly in my mind but it’d be so much to explain. If you’re curious abt the characters themselves originally they were just a design exercise I did in like. middle school where I tried to combine all of the Link/Zelda designs into one character and then I went down a rabbit hole and now they’re completely fleshed out people in my mind. Link is 12 so he follows more of the “spunky kid hero” route where Zelda is in her mid twenties and is already essentially the primary leader of Hyrule so much more experienced and capable. Ganon is 13 and he’s my funny little emo kid I love him he absolutely listens to Evanescence he’s a nerd. Shiek also exists I just. Didn’t design him originally so I’m working on him still but him and Zelda are twins-ish it’s a bit convoluted but the two of them are separate people essentially splitting the spirit of Hylia, so even though they’re individual personalities, they share a very strong mental connection, they quite literally are inside each other’s heads, so he acts as her main confidant and advisor. A bunch of other canon characters are in here because I’m biased and threw all my favs into the au soup. I. I’m so tempted to just rant forever but I’ll spare you because this is already long if you have specific questions go for it they take up entirely too much space in my brain

2020 Art Summary
Yep, it’s 2021 already. 2020 is finally over. It felt like it lasted forever, and it felt like the end would never come, but here we are. Crazy how the time flew by.
I felt like I didn’t get much art done this year because of Current World Event, but I made a lot more than I thought I did. Even some of my new favorite pieces came out of this year, so I think that’s worth celebrating and looking back upon!
Tumblr media
I was insanely productive during the first month of 2020, and looking back I was surprised at all the stuff I did, but then I remembered that that winter season was actually one of the best times of my life! I started being more socially involved, and I think my newfound drive at the time translated into all the art I pumped out this month. This is just a small fraction of what I made in January, but I only have so much space. Quite a few complex pieces in both style exploration and polishing my own style.
Tumblr media
Apparently February was a rather intimate month. Things began to slow down in terms of my own art here, with me spending more time in social settings and school work ramping up, I didn’t have as much time to coop up in my room to draw. I did wanna do something for a friend’s Valentine’s Day OC art challenge, so I drew my lovey-dovey couple from Dance of 1000 Words havin’ a dance. Nothing actually came of that challenge, but it was fun to do regardless.
Tumblr media
One of the things I was most proud of in the winter season was making more friends, and one of the closest friends I made was completely coincidental. I met a person named Kiri on the bus one night I decided to volunteer somewhere by myself, and we ended up chatting and getting along. They quickly told me their tumblr username, and I shot them a message immediately after they left. A couple days later, we met up for brunch, and we started becoming really close friends and creative partners!
Not much else happened in March cuz that’s when Current World Event started becoming an issue, but Kiri and I still kept in close touch and we randomly started developing a concept for a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Galar Edition. These are a handful of characters we thought up, with Skipper the Scorbunny and Dross the Dreepy as the main characters, Morgrem as the main antagonist, and some shopkeepers such as those of the Greedent Bank and the Indeedee General Store. This was also my first time drawing all of these Galar Pokemon (except Scorbunny, but I also made Skipper a bit more unique than a regular Scorbunny).
Tumblr media
Lots of events happened this month. First of all, Steven Universe Future ended, one of my favorite and most influential shows was no longer continuing. I had to do something as tribute, both as a send-off to one of the greatest cartoons in the world and as a cathartic release for my feelings towards it.
A while later, I got the opportunity to start playing an MMO in beta called Fer.al, by the same people who made Animal Jam, which coincidentally I had also beta tested for back in the day. I ended up getting really attached to my first character, a Senri I named Sasha, and though I’ve made more characters than them since, they’re still my absolute favorite. Though I haven’t touched the game in a few months, I was really engrossed for a long time and enjoyed playing through the beta and early access phases.
At the end of the month, some friends of mine invited to a roleplay group with some mutuals, and we all played characters in a crime syndicate. Just a bunch of ragtag thieves and criminals who ended up together in order to protect an artifact called the Crown of Thieves, which was essentially a flag to be taken by other groups to prove that they are the best thieves in the land. My character was based heavily on my sona (if it wasn’t obvious) and was also influenced by Cloud Strife, since the FFVII Remake had just come out and I was super into watching the cutscenes at the time. My character’s (code)name is Valkyrie, and they are a mercenary, going between multiple different employers to carry out whatever duties they need to do. They have a more complicated backstory, but presently they were recently hired by recommendation of their friend Shark (played by @shmoots-universe who is also My friend now ily maya) who works with a group called the Court Cards who are currently in possession of the Crown of Thieves. Valk never really had a place to call home, but staying with this group of people had to be the closest they could get to that feeling. They still sleep with a knife under their pillow because of trust issue but that’s okay.
Tumblr media
Okay, so technically these examples started in April, but I continued making content with them in May, and the month was just pretty void of art in general, so here I am addressing them.
There were two main things I worked on this month: a Steven Universe AU of my own and the whole #sixfanarts thing that kicked off around then. Let’s start with the fanart bits. I did two and a half of them (six in April and nine in May), and it was so much fun to be able to draw stuff I don’t normally do! My personal favorites are shown here: Blake Belladonna from RWBY, Roll from Megaman, Yuki Konno from Sword Art Online, and Link from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The other thing I’d been planning for a while was a Steven Universe AU, probably to cope with the show being over but also because I was inspired by a lot of those SU AU artists I started following at the time. I won’t share the details here because it’s gonna have its own blog at some point, but the example I’ve shown here is of a comic I made loosely in order to introduce a divergence in the plot of the story as well as introduce a character unique to my AU. It was a lot of fun figuring out how to draw the characters and get a feel for the style.
Tumblr media
As the year progressed, my amount of art I made per month began to dwindle, this time mostly because school was kicking my ass especially hard with finals. However, I took what time I had to get some backburner pieces finished, like the Tigerlily picture which I sketched out a couple months back, and the Gunvolt picture which I started working on SIX YEARS AGO. I don’t quite know why I got the urge to work on it again after so long, but it was nice to finally realize. The other drawing for DOTS was done in the dead of night but I was really happy with how it came out.
Tumblr media
Despite only having two summer classes left of school, this month was really rough because they demanded a lot of my time and attention. I did not have the gumption to do anything digital, so I stuck to my sketchbook to get out what I felt like getting out.
My friends and I did a stream of the game Helltaker, and I really enjoyed the concept, so in following my friends I made my own Helltaker demon OC named Raksha the Ravenous Demon (it’s a pun but also got mythical insp). I also got super into Hazbin Hotel at this point, mostly because the Addict music video dropped and I couldn’t get enough of it, so I doodled Angel Dust cuz I felt like it. The other drawing I did was actually a free commission I gave a friend of mine as a prize for a trivia game show I ran back in June. He along with a couple other friends got some free drawings from me for getting the top three scores, and this one in particular was fun because of how interesting it was. He wanted me to draw a video game reviewer called the Irate Gamer from a specific moment, and I decided to go ham and just make it as dramatic as possible.
Tumblr media
University classes finally wrapped up and right after that I was in the process of moving out of my apartment and getting adjusted to living with my parents again. I did a couple of agg.io drawing sessions with my friends from the Court Cards group as well as a new Dungeons and Dragons homebrew group I had joined. I drew some more of Valkyrie and came up with a design for my DND character Qakuqtuq (or Kai for short). He is monkey grandpa and I love him.
Tumblr media
My main focus was on finishing a polished piece for my friend Cake, whose birthday was in the upcoming month. I wanted it to be as amazing as possible, so I put a lot of time into getting more detailed and making them look good. In addition to that, I did a few TOME doodles just for fun. The creature on the bottom was for this month’s art challenge on my Discord server where we made original TOMERPG monsters, and I created Hundylow, a Crystal-element monster based on the Grindylow from English folklore.
Tumblr media
This month was a lot more productive than the past few had been. I tried to do a 31-day art challenge called Creatober but failed to get past the third prompt because I was still swamped with other work. I’m still happy with what little I did, including the piece with my characters Kyle and Guarudan from DSWD.
I don’t remember how, but I also suddenly rediscovered an old Flipnote Hatena series called Tales of LostClan, a Warriors fan series that I would say was the most obscure thing I’ve ever been super invested in. It was what got me into the actual Warriors books, and I liked it so much I redrew the animations into a comic... twice. Didn’t get nearly as far the second time but clearly my love for this little fanfiction had not waned after nearly a decade. I felt like drawing a book cover/movie poster for the series, just to get it out there and see how much I’ve improved over all that time.
Also I felt like making a vampiresona just before Halloween because I never dress up for Halloween in art (or real life anymore, for that matter), and I wanted to do something like that for once. It was short-lived but I really liked the design!
Tumblr media
The focus of this month was definitely on Pokemon stuff. As per usual I contributed to the current Gotta Draw ‘Em All collab, and I was tasked to draw Regieleki. It was really fun to figure out how to make it stand out and look like it was made of electricity.
I also committed a lot of my spare time to my Fakemon Gym Leaders, as I had been working on bringing them to life in the past year or so now. As of this post, I’ve finished rendering their full body poses and gym badges, but I’m still working on completing all eight VS portraits, the first half of which are shown here.
Tumblr media
I... didn’t draw anything this month, actually. What I’m showing here was worked on in the last few days but has actually been in progress for a couple of months, and I just finished it earlier today, in 2021. But I needed to show something off, and it’s also about time I mentioned it.
Back in October, I kept seeing people rave about this game called Genshin Impact, and I was interested but not so much as to start playing it... until my friends started playing and I was like “fuck it, let’s download it”. Since that day, I have been super immersed and in love with this game, to the point I came up with my own canon based on my gameplay experiences. This also included the creation of an original player character: Astra, the non-binary Traveller. And now, I’ve finally drawn them and brought them to life.
It has been one hell of a year. I had some of the highest highs and lowest lows in 2020, lots of changes, and I have now officially moved onto the next chapter of my life now that my time at university is finally over. I’m very excited for what 2021 has to offer, and I’m going to go forward with great ambition.

ZELDA, HER APPEARANCE & HER FEELINGS REGARDING IT  /
talking with amber about the differences between the appearances in our respective zeldas got me motivated to finish this headcanon, finally ! i love zelda’s ocarina of time design, because y’know, imprinting on your very first zelda game & all that, but there’s always room for improvement, right ? these are my ( questionable ) improvements ! this headcanon ... got away from me little bit when i started to talk out my reasoning for zelda’s choice in how she presented herself as queen. i intended on talking about how she looks in other verses, too, such as when she’s a spectre in the queen’s shade universe, but i feel that would suit better as an entirely separate post, so, that’ll come in time ! i hadn’t intended on putting this post under a read more, because i feel it’s a fairly important headcanon & i’d like people to read it, but - surprise ! - it’s really long, & it would feel really rude to just leave it uncut, so behind the black it goes - that, & it also deals with body issues & negative perceptions of one’s body, so please keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to that sort of content. that said, & i’m aware of the irony of this sentence after the last, but i hope you guys at least find it an enjoyable read !  ♡
the three basic tenets of her appearance which have appeared in most of her predecessors & descendants ( pale, blue-eyed, blonde-haired ) apply in most, if not all, of my verses for zelda  but there are only a few verses of mine where i would say zelda’s appearance is exactly as it is within the game & the official art provided by nintendo - primarily the earliest arc of my canon verses, when she’s still the little princess, & the au which follows the events of the child timeline, where she never goes on the run & so never becomes sheik. she’s still quite fit, thanks to horseback riding & regular exercise, overseen by impa, but it’s in this au she most embodies the slim, graceful princess look nintendo gave her. one constant in all her adult verses, however, is her height - by the time she’s fully grown, she’s 5′8″.
in my other main, canon-inspired verses, well - zelda goes on the run at age ten, & it’s from that age impa begins to teach her how to fight, as she knows that she cannot protect her forever, & she’s going to need to become self-sufficient if she wants to survive. it starts off with basic things, graduating into an intense regime, but the result is, by the time link awakens from his slumber, zelda, even whilst disguised as sheik, is broad-shouldered & visibly muscled. i choose to interpret the tanned skin, red eyes & shorter hair as part of a glamour zelda put up, out of fear that ganondorf was searching for girls matching her description á la wind waker, but the muscles get to stay because whilst her appearance might be fake when under this alias, her feats are not. she did, after all, manage to survive seven years in a monster-infested hyrule, stay in the heart of death mountain without a visible goron tunic, & for whatever reason, was at kakariko village before link when the seal holding bongo-bongo back began to break, & i choose to interpret that as her being prepared to fight it. she also managed to make it through the haunted wasteland to the desert colossus / the spirit temple, sans lens of truth, & as she presents as an androgynous, masculine-leaning figure, she might have also had to prove her worth to the gerudo in battle, just as link did - after all, even though the gerudo, such as nabooru, openly disavow ganondorf by that point in time, it would be madness to declare her true self in his hometown.
this piece of fanart by lord-lorens is, honestly, the closest thing to how i picture zelda’s body type whilst she masquerades as sheik, & afterwards, when she reassumes her identity as princess. ( is there a gossip stone out there saying princess zelda has an eight pack ? there’s nothing in canon to disprove this, so yes. ) the only thing which stops it being entirely perfect for me is my headcanons of where across her body zelda is scarred ( which could be another, much smaller headcanon, so i’ll leave it for that ) but considering everyone’s interpretation of how zelda lived as sheik is varied, it was bound to happen - but god, minus those, i just want to pin this somewhere on my blog with an enormous sign next to it which says  ❛ this is how my zelda looks, as both sheik & a princess. ❜ but, with that in mind, lets move on.
i think it’s interesting how similar zelda’s outfit is as an adult ( which she ISN’T, she’s SEVENTEEN, but i digress - ) to the one she wears as a child, & my interpretation of it is that it’s very deliberate - & another glamour. ( seriously, where the fuck would she get a dress like that ? ) zelda hasn’t been seen in public, as herself, in seven years. the last people saw of her, as mentioned by those in castle town prior to drawing the master sword, is her fleeing the castle on horseback with her attendant, & that might have been the first glimpse some people had of her at all. when ganondorf is sealed away, & she re-emerges, she’s dressed similarly in order to spark recognition in people’s minds, & also because she knows that it may be difficult to prove she is who she claims to be, considering the king is dead, & impa has ascended as a sage, & can’t vouch for her. surviving nobles who interrogate her on her memories are able to confirm her claim to the throne, but if she had just strolled into kakariko village in casual dress, it’s very likely she would have absolutely been dismissed.
because of this, zelda’s feelings towards her appearance end up... complicated. in the aforementioned child timeline au verse, where she has a privileged, but more normal, adolescent socialization, she’s quite accepting of her own appearance & how feminine it is, because in that timeline, she fits the mold of what people expect a princess to be - she’s tall, she’s graceful, she’s pretty, & she’s rewarded for fitting that ideal. in her canon universe, where a life on the run left her with an entirely different body type, an indifference to feminity, many insecurities about her suitability as queen of hyrule, especially in her first years of being on the throne, & a desire to conform to others expectations of her ... it’s a perfect storm, whose origins can be traced directly to her choice to homage her childhood dress during her reappearance in hylian society.
insecurity & fear feeds a lot of her choices in how she presents herself at the beginning of her reign. her body type is what some would call androgynous, others vaguely masculine - broad shoulders & small breasts which combine to give the illusion of her hips being narrower than they are, & she though she herself is content with that, she fears scorn by others because of it, so she works to minimize these features, & she plays up to feminity. her wardrobe primarily consists of dresses, gowns & robes, all loose fitting, all sleeved to at least the elbow, preferably in a style which leaves her biceps covered, & indistinct beneath the fabric. the gold pauldrons she wears as an adult feature in most, if not all, of her garments until her official coronation, seven years after ganondorf was sealed away - they provide her a measure of security, give her a regal appearance, & do a lot of heavy lifting, in conjunction with the sleeves of her gowns, to hide her shoulders & biceps, to the point where people are surprised at just how muscled she is when they come off - she hides the results, but even as queen, she still trains as she did when she was in hiding. most people are accepting of how she looks, but as is always the way, the few harsh comments she hears deafen her to the compliments - the only thing zelda wants, in the end, is for hyrule to recover, & for her people to thrive, & for that, she needs to be a good queen to them. to be a good queen, she must live up to their expectations. her attempts to live up to that via her appearance lead to her first breakdown, three months after her coronation.
it’s not just her appearance, of course - there’s enough stress to go around trying to get hyrule back on its feet again in a fair way, whilst trying to make her own mark as queen & live up to her parents’ peacekeeping legacy - but the nitpicking from a few members of her court, & the constant moving of goalposts as she attempts to satisfy their criticisms of her appearance, is the catalyst for her eventual declaration that she is done trying to satisy other people’s unreasonable explanations. the queenly mask she wears for other people’s benefit is suffocating her, so she decides to break it, & forge a new one. if she is going to be feminine, it is because she chooses to be, not because people expect her to be. if she wishes to dress as a man does, who can stop her ? if androgyny is what she feels, she will not deny herself. so, after a good cry, zelda does what every twenty-four year old going through a tough time does - she cuts her hair. she no longer tries to hide her body or disguise her frame. she is the queen, & the people will accept her as she is.
& most do ! hyrule has some strange looking people in it. a queen with a pixie cut is not the end of the world. she keeps it short for a good while, as a symbol of both her & hyrule’s fresh start, but eventually she begins to let it grow out again, with its length varying at ... well, various important points in her life. a short bob when she begins the programme to build new villages & settlements in hyrule. shoulder length when she begins courting to secure the throne for the future. waist length when she marries. she cuts it to above her shoulders once more when her first child is born, & keeps it mostly at that length until the end of her life, mostly for practical reasons. she was never ashamed of her body, before or after she became queen, as it was proof of her survival, but she became a lot more confident in herself as queen after she stopped letting other people, & her own well-intentioned, if misguided, fantasies of what a queen should look like dictate her life. that doesn’t mean to say that was that, every dark thought about her appearance swept away - there were days afterwards where she still despaired of her appearance, of the image she was projecting to others, of the judgements being passed on her & her country that came from her looks alone - but they were infrequent compared to the constant anxiety she felt about her appearance prior to the night she took a knife to her hair. they also weren’t enough to stop her from maintaining her physique, either - the training regime she began as a child continued into her late sixties, when she finally felt confident enough in the kingdom’s safety to stop, but the results of it meant that zelda was powerfully built through her whole life. even the birth of her children, which softened her body, couldn’t diminish much of her muscled appearance. shedding the weight of others opinions ( of her appearance, at least ) allowed her to stand tall until the end of her days. her body told the story of her life, & eventually, she was proud to let people see it.

Zelda AU #2: The Triplets
Tumblr media
The sketch is rough at best, but Zelda is supposed to look like she does pre-calamity, Tetra looks like the girl from the BotW 2 trailer (because it is her, I might explain that later if anyone’s interested), and Sheik has his design from Smash Ultimate. This is really just my take on the twins AU which was originally created by someone else (rockingthegraveyard, I believe).
https://triforce-princess.tumblr.com/post/627266504652668928/this-is-awesome-your-brain-is-so-good
Anyways, I was thinking of what this might actually look like as a fleshed-out story, and I decided that Zelda’s twin could be named Tetra. And then I thought, “hey, we can’t leave Sheik out!” And so here we are. Basically, thanks to her siblings, Zelda is able to stop the calamity and (almost) everyone lives happily ever after. I don’t actually plan on writing this into a formal story so this is a long post where I just dump a lot of my ideas concerning the trio. I will not be writing this into a story, because I’ve never played BotW and I fear I would get everything wrong, but you’re welcome to! If someone ends up writing something based on this, I’d love to know so I can read it. I also have lots more ideas about this, so if you want more content (aside from this ridiculously long post), just ask!
Zelda is technically the oldest, although it hardly matters since they’re triplets. Thanks to this, she is arbitrarily the one who had all of the responsibilities heaped upon her. She’s pretty similar to how she appears in BotW, except Link isn’t even a potential love interest for her. He’s just her knight whom she’s gradually grown close to - as a friend.
Tetra is the middle child, and by far the most troublesome. She is outgoing, adventurous, brash, and basically everything you don’t want in a princess. King Rhoam tried to raise her to be proper, constantly reminding her that it was the hero’s (Link’s) duty to be the courageous one, not the princess. This often resulted in her running away and threatening to join the gerudo. She and Revali got along like a house on fire, often bonding over how overrated Link is. She absolutely hates Link, because to her, he represents not her failures, but the failures of her country and family. Why can’t a princess with no triforce be the hero as well? She makes no attempt to hide her distaste for him, although she might have changed her perspective a little if she realized that Link actually greatly admired her. It’s too bad that he was too scared of her to tell her himself. Speaking of being too scared to admit things, the one thing Tetra can’t bring herself to say aloud is that she has a huge crush on Princess Mipha.
Sheik is the little brother, known as the quiet one. Unlike his eldest sister, he knows how to fight, but hates doing so. He would much rather prefer to be exploring the lonely areas of the wild, or researching ancient tech with Zelda. He’s trans, and while his sisters support him and his father respects that, King Rhoam also saw that as an excuse to ignore him. After all, the legends never told of princes doing anything noteworthy. Thus, the king, and by extension almost everyone in Hyrule, more or less forgot about their quiet prince. The champions knew about him and were varying degrees of nice to him, especially Lady Urbosa, which was more than almost everyone he met could say. He didn’t mind it too much, and didn’t even realize that it was wrong until after his father was dead.
Link had a varied relationship with the triplets. Originally, both Zelda and Tetra despised him, because he reminded them of everything wrong in Hyrule - Zelda’s own self doubt, and Tetra’s failed attempts to become her own hero. Since his two sisters were always talking about how much they hated having this royal knight follow Zelda around, Sheik grew to dislike him as well, despite having never met in person. However, there was a time in the castle when Tetra practically kidnapped Zelda and whisked her away to an unknown location in Hyrule, sending everything into chaos. Sheik was pretty sure that they were both in on it and were simply trying to prove how well they could manage without Link, but they hadn’t informed him of their plan before they left, so he really had no idea. What he did know was that they left Link behind, and now the royal knight was panicking because he thought the king would blame him for letting his daughters vanish, and feared he’d be at the very least jailed.
Link, to his surprise, was not punished - the king was too busy cursing his own tomboyish daughter - but was sent to go find them alongside a team of Hyrulean soldiers. Not wanting to look useless, Sheik joined the quest. In their travels, Sheik discovered that Link was actually a lot like himself, just in completely different circumstances (and much more reckless, unfortunately), and the knight found that the prince was one of the few people who didn’t meet him with impossibly high expectations, for which he was thankful. They became fast friends, although since they both said an average of ten words a week combined, their friendship often looked more like them being present in the same room.
Much later, after both princesses had returned to the castle (“of our own accord,” Tetra had reminded everyone within earshot), the king doubled down on Zelda discovering her powers. She and her knight were rarely seen around the castle, always visiting springs and whatnot, while Zelda’s siblings were left at the castle doing... basically nothing. They were both training constantly for a battle that they were beginning to believe would never come.
Their seventeenth birthday started like any other day. They were at the castle while Zelda and her knight were off at another spring to pray, along with the champions. Then all hell broke loose. (Literally.) Something monstrous decided to rear its ugly head from under Hyrule Castle, and it took over the guardians to boot. Of course, both Tetra and Sheik became extremely concerned for their older sister, since she probably couldn’t fight a bokoblin, much less corrupted ancient technology. This, combined with the fact that the castle was probably the worst place to be right then, prompted the two to bolt into the field and find their sister. They had to fight guardians the entire way, and Sheik recieved a nasty injury, but kept denying how bad it really was.
Despite the storm, she wasn’t that hard to find, thanks to that explosion of what they guessed was her divine magic that had finally decided to say hello. They found her as opposed to the sheikah, but arrived on the scene a bit to late for the hero. He wasn’t dead (or was he?), or at the very least he could be saved/brought back, but he was clearly not about to help them fight. (Still, Sheik absolutely lost his mind when he saw the state Link was in, to the shock of his sisters. Neither of them knew he was close friends with the knight.)
Zelda quickly explained her plan to her siblings, where she would return the sword to the forest and face Ganon herself, to which Tetra said “hell no.” The Master Sword was right there! Hyrule needs saving, and the princess found herself to be a perfectly competent hero. The sword could be fixed. Somehow.
This part is where I’m a little on the fence about what happens. The sword’s health and power does seem to be tied to Link’s, as evidence by how it heals with him over 100 years and can only shoot sword beams when he’s at full health (I think), but since Tetra actually was worthy of wielding the sword, Fi could have been restored when she accepted the blade. Alternatively, Tetra and Sheik could have been the sages of earth and wind without realizing it, and we’re able to restore the sword on the fly. You get to decide how the sword repaired itself.
So now Tetra has roped herself into fighting Ganon with the Master Sword, Zelda by her side, while Sheik is losing his mind over what is basically the corpse of his closest friend. It’s at this time that Zelda realizes just how injured her brother is. She knows that he can’t fight the calamity like that, so she tasks him with taking Link to the Shrine of Resurrection, like Fi said. Initially, he refuses, but he soon decides that it’s all he can do and agrees.
The triplets go their separate ways. Somehow, the sisters are able to get to the castle very quickly, and start to challenge the Calamity. Zelda uses her new sealing powers to force him into a mortal form, while Tetra beats him up with her new weapon of choice. Ganon originally shrugs them off, more or less, but as they start to win he activates Panic Mode and summons all of his blights back to the sanctum to fight the sisters. Luckily, the blights were snatched right out of their battles with the champions, who were beaten and shaken but still alive.
However, thanks to his new allies, Ganon starts to win. Just when the princesses think they’re about to die, the divine beasts - which are under the control of the champions after the blights left - strike, finishing off the Calamity. Naturally Ganon has a few tricks up his sleeve and transforms into Dark Beast Ganon, moving to Hyrule Field. By Hylia’s (late) divine grace, Tetra and Zelda are teleported to the field as well, alongside Sheik, surprisingly. He’d just set Link up in the shrine before getting pulled here. Zelda is able to summon the Bow of Light, which becomes his weapon.
Together, the three of them are able to take out the dark beast. Zelda creates weak points, while Tetra and Sheik shoot them with Master Sword beams and light arrows, respectively. (Maybe Tetra DID die, but her health was restored by a fairy, or she’s at full health for some other reason.) So now Ganon is dead. Castle town is in shambles, and multiple people are dead, including the king. But don’t worry - Urbosa quickly makes herself the new parental figure of the triplets.
Hyrule is rebuilt. The people celebrate the defeat of the calamity, and the guardians are restored to their former abilities. Tetra becomes the new Champion of Hyrule Castle, wielding the Master Sword and the Sheikah Slate. For an extra happy ending, maybe she and Mipha formally become a couple. Sheik pioneers work on improving ancient and modern technology, showing a special interest in ways to reverse aging. After many years, Queen Zelda’s son, Daphnes Link Hyrule, becomes the ruler after her reign ends.
And so, the people of Hyrule live happily ever after.
... and 100 years later, Link wakes up.

A Kid With Swords.
chapter 36 of So Happy Together
Masterlist
note: hey guy! sorry about last week it was rough, but i missed you all! here the next chapter Kylo, and Hux are a bit ooc, but i also feel like in this au they would be best friends seeing as they both dont know how to act ever.
a few weeks had passed. it was official. Phasma had been gone 3 weeks, and so much had changed. Elaine had spent most of her time with Matt, which you understood. Once she was gone they were gonna miss each other like crazy, so you let them have their time. You on the other hand have been spending most of your days with Hux, and Kylo. the more you got to know Kylo the more you liked him. He was just like Hux. they were both very serious people who only let their true goofiness show every now, and then. They even let you help them pull a revenge prank on Ben after the camp site incident. You all had done little things together. You would drive out of town, and see new things together.
You haven't seen Ben around in a while, which you found weird. You had been going to the Solo house a lot these past few weeks, but it seemed like every time you were there he wasn't. Something in you said he was avoiding you, but you knew it was dumb to think that. You had been seeing a lot of Leia, and Han though. You liked them. They're like the parents you always wanted, but never had. Leia had spoken to you a lot about Fashion design, and running your own line. You hung onto every word she said about it. Han and you have been getting to know each other a lot more too. You thought back to that night you spoke to him at Elaine's graduation party. He talked about how Kylo was just like him. The more time you spent with both of them the more you realized that statement was true.
On today's agenda you, Hux, and Kylo had decided you wanted to go swimming. Hux brought up the lake, but you and Kylo wanted something different, you both wanted something new. Kylo did some research, and found a place called Origin Lake over in Kashyyyk. It was a 4 hour drive from Han, and Leia’s so you all decided to stay the night at their house. Matt was really excited for this. He wasn't going with you guys to the lake, but he loved having people stay over night. You got there around 3 wanting to go shopping with the guys for snacks and stuff for the next day. Your grandfather gave you the truck for the day so you could fit everything in the back. As soon as you pulled into their driveway you honked letting the boys know you had arrived. Hux walked out first, then Kylo. both boys got in, and you left.
Once you got to the store the very first thing you guys did was go look at floaties. You wanted something big enough for all of you to float on. Kylo found one that fit up to 4 people. It was perfect.  Three on you could sit, and put all your snacks on one. You grabbed it, and you all agreed to chip in on it. While walking away Kylo, and Hux spotted some water guns, and insisted you all get your own, and have a water fight at the lake. You rolled your eyes knowing you were hanging out with two small children trapped in men's bodies. You each took time picking a color. Kylo took a red water gun, Hux found an orange one, and took it. You had trouble finding a color you liked, before you finally decided on blue. Once you each had water guns you asked your children if there was anything else they wanted.
“Well, if you're being serious I kind of want snorkels, and goggles.”  Kylo said in a voice that you swore even sounded like a childs.
“What goggles will fit over that nose?” Hux jokes. Kylo immediately put him in a headlock, and playfully started beating him up.
“Hey! You boys stop or I put your toys back!” you threatened while holding up the water guns. Kylo let go ofHux, and both boys looked down in defeat.
“Yes, ma’am.” they both mumbled. Maybe you weren't hanging out with your friends. Maybe you were just babysitting.
“Kylo go get your damn snorkel gear.” he ran off in search of the items he wanted.
“Tomorrows gonna be a blast.” you said to Hux as you pushed the cart over to the snack section.
“What am I going to do in Oxford when I don't have you two to push me into doing fun things?”
“Probably die.” you said.
“That is the most probable outcome. I’ll race you to the snack aisle.” he said before running off. You chased after him with a smile.
Somehow you had won. You were positive that Hux would've won, considering he had a head start, and you had a whole cart to push. The both of you were looking at all your choices, when you saw Kylo run back to the cart, with a bunch of other stuff he wanted. He threw it in, and you all continued searching. Once you were sure you had everything you could possibly need you checked out, and left. None of you were ready to go back to Kylo’s house, so you decided to eat out for dinner. Hux immediately recommended you all go to Maz’s so he can eat one last time there. You pulled into the parking lot, and went inside. You, and Hux immediately went to your usual spot.
“So Kylo would you say i'm your friend?” you asked him as he sat down next to you.
“I mean, I don't hate your presence. So I would say yes.”
“So if I asked you something about Ben. would you answer it?” he sighed, and looked at you.
“Go ahead.”
“Is he avoiding me? Because I feel like every time I go over he's not there.”
“He hasn't told me anything since we started hanging out more. He knows I would tell you everything.”
“But do you think it would be rational for me to assume the answer is yes?”
“I would assume the answer is yes.” Hux said while looking through the menu
“Sadly I agree with Hux. Ben isn't very good with feelings, and if he told you how he felt, it's possible that he's just avoiding confrontation.”
“I don't know why I thought things would be different this time.” you mumbled as you picked up your menu.
“Hey, you don't need him, you have us.” Kylo said. You smiled at him, and you looked through the menu with him.
“So what are we doing for dinner friday?” Hux asked as he tried to flag down a waiter.
“I don't know, I was thinking of doing like a homemade pizza night. I figured we could make our own dough and everything.”
“That sounds like a mess.” he said.
“I'll make yours if you want Hux.” you assured him.
“That would be best.”  finally your waitress came over, and you ordered your food. You spent the rest of the night talking about tomorrow. Soon the three of you left the small restaurant, and headed for Kylos house. When you got there you packed up everything for the next day, and set the truck up for tomorrow. Kylo offered you his room saying he would probably go sleep with Matt, and Hux.
He had brought you to his room, and you were a bit surprised. There were some movie posters on the wall, along with some pictures of the first order. He probably got them from Matt, and hung them up. He had a king bed with an all black bed set. You tossed yourself on it, and realized it was the most comfortable thing in the world. It felt like laying on a cloud. He didn't have a tv or many lights like Matts room did. It was very minimalistic, and bare.
“So the only problem with my room is, chewy can't come in here his fur will get stuck on my bed.”
“That's fine with me. “ you said as you curled up on his bed.
“Do you wanna watch a movie? I mean i know i'm sleeping in their room, but I don't want to just ditch you.”
“Yeah a movie sounds good. What are you thinking?” you asked him as he ran over to his little desk. He picked up his laptop, and brought it over.
“Scoot over.” was all he said. You rolled your eyes, and made room for him on his bed. He plopped down next to you, and got comfortable.
“So there's this one movie I really loved called ‘The Dead Don’t Die.’ I hope you like scary movies.” he said. His eyes looked the same as a kid trying to get his parents to buy him candy. You got comfortable again, and responded.
“I can handle scary movies.” you said curling up against him. His room was cold. A lot colder than any other room you’ve been in. He must have known you were cold, as he pulled one of the blankets at the foot of his bed over the two of you.
Something changed in Kylo once you told him you loved Ben. it's like he stopped his pursuit of you, and started acting like your brother more than anything. Which wasn't exactly all bad. It meant you saw a side of him you never thought you would. He treats you almost the same way he treats Matt. like you're something that needs protecting from the world. You liked it though. You liked when he would randomly tease you about things, or when he feels like a guys been staring at you too long, and he confronts the guy. It really was like having a big brother. You stayed curled up to him while you both watched the movie. It's definitely something you never would’ve expected him to like. It's more funny than scary.
“I think my favorite character so far is Officer Peterson.” you said out loud to him.
“No way, I can't stand him. I like Zelda. I've always had a weird fascination with Swords though.”
“Swords? Really?” you asked him.
He laughed, and got up from where he was sitting. He opened up his closet, and reached down into it pulling out what looked like a bundle of sticks. He placed each one down on his bed, and you realized they were actual swords. Like real life swords. Kylo Solo was a total dork.
“This is my favorite one. It's a replica of Ice from Game of Thrones.” he said as he took it out of its sheath. And he was not Lying. It was a sword. Like a real life sharp as shit sword. He held it and posed with it in different ways, before putting it back in its sheath. For the next 20 minutes you sat, and watched as he pulled out each sword, and showed them to you. He would give explanations about what they were from, and what character they belonged to. You looked over to the door, and saw Ben standing in it.
“Is he showing off his nerd shit to you?” he asked as he laughed at Kylo. Kylo ran towards him with one in his hand, and Ben screamed before running off. You smiled, and kept looking at them when you heard them screaming more.
“MOM KYLOS CHASING ME WITH A SWORD AGAIN!!!!” you then heard Leia's Voice.
“KYLO WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT CHASING YOUR BROTHER WITH DEADLY MEDIEVAL WEAPONS!!”
Just then Han walked into the room. He looked at you, and gave you a weird look before picking up the swords he had left on the bed.
“If you want to see a good show, I suggest you get down there, and watch all three of em chase after each other.” he said before walking out of the room with the swords in his hand. You decided to take his advice, and go downstairs. He was right. It was pretty fun to watch that small woman chase down two men who were twice her size. They chased each other for a good 10 minutes before Han came downstairs. He went over to Kylo, and took the sword right out of his hands.
“If you two don’t stop I will bring out my guillotine collection.” he said before walking back upstairs.
“You heard your father, now both of you go to bed.” Leia yelled. They both went to argue when she stopped them, and sent them away. Ben passed you, and you smiled at each other before he went to his room.
“C'mon we can finish our movie, and go to bed.” Kylo said coming up after Ben.
“Nah, I actually feel kinda tired, and we got a big day, I wanna rest up so I don't die of exhaustion.” you said as you followed him back to his room.
“You sure? The ending is really good.” he said trying to tempt you to keep watching.
“Dude we gotta get up early, i'm going to bed.”
“Fine, but promise we can finish it at some point.” he said as you both walked into his room. He grabbed his laptop, and put it back on the desk.
“Promise.” you said as you got in his bed. He came over to you, and to your surprise he tucked you in.
“Goodnight. “ he said as he walked out.
“Night, Kylo.” you said as he closed the door. You laid in the dark by yourself, and you smiled. He reminded you of the brother you always wished you had. You were glad he was starting to loosen up around you. When you first met him you felt a little scared. He looked like the worst type of person. In reality. He was a dorky awkward guy. He was a kid. A kid with swords in his closet.

Name: Urbosa Sanda
Universe: BoTW Superhero AU by @blue-firelight1234
Explinations:
So first off! She trusts the others enough to keep her identity secret if they find out, and her fighting style involves her near constantly moving, mostly protecting her from enemies getting a good look at her, so she has that half-helmet! she originally had a full helmet, but it was clunky, loud, and heavy, so she switched it out once she trusted the others.
The blue parts of her outfit are made of a thin, durable cloth. It’s synthetic, but feels a bit like cotton.
Her arm and shin guards are, dispite their names, mainly there to protect her elbows and knees, respectively They have the added bonus of making her hits with said joints stronger and occasionally cutting the victim.
Like Zelda, she has simple black leggings on for mobility. Nothing special.
She/I designed her outfit based on the Gerudo Vai vlothes we see in-game! Her ethnicity and culture are very important to her, so I thought to reflect this in her outfit.
I’m really proud of how she turned out! Thankfully, I think I made up for last time (eith Mipha). I tried a new technique with shining metal on her armor, and I think it turned out well! Plus, I like how her stronger body type turned out. I think my art’s finally going in the direction I want it to.

You could vaguely hear someone talking to your child as you drifted along the veil of sleep. You were exhausted. Actually, exhausted was an understatement. This last hospital stay was pushing a week, and you weren’t leaving his side, waiting for the doctors to tell you how long they thought he had this time.
The doctors.
You woke up with a deeply inhaled breath and looked around. “Hi mom.” Despite the cancer, his smile was as bright as ever when he smiled at you.
“Hey, honey.” your voice was rough with sleep, but your smile matched his as you rubbed sleep from your eyes.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you.” You looked up at the impossibly tall man talking to your child, clipboard in hand but he didn’t look like a doctor. “You looked like you needed the nap.”
“It’s okay.” You stretched before sitting up taller in your chair. “I didn’t mean to fall asleep. And I should be awake for this anyways, right?”
He gave you a soft smiled. “Coffee?” before you could answer, he was moving and leaning out into the hall. “Cas, coffees. And maybe some extra pudding for Max, here?” He gave your son a wink and watched the kids smile light up again.
“You don’t have to-”
You tried to protest, but a voice from outside cut you off. “You got it.”
“It's no trouble.” He assured you as he went back to where he’d been originally standing by the bed. “Really.”
You nodded, letting it slide. Truth was, you could use the coffee. He was talking to your son again, and it took a moment for your sleep addled brain to kick in and realize they were talking about colours.  “I-I’m sorry, but who are you?”
“I’m Sam. Sam Winchester?” You gave him a confused look. “They didn’t tell you I was coming?”
“No..”
“Shit.” Then he glanced at your son apologetically for swearing. “Okay, this is awkward then.” He gave you a shy chuckle. “I’m - uh. I run the superhero program. I do the-”
“Right!” you stood. “Oh god, I totally forgot about that. I’m sorry, they told me a few days ago that he qualified, and I just-”
“You had enough going on. Don’t worry, I get it.” He gave you another smile and your eyes were drawn to the dimples that appeared. “Is now a good time?”
“Yes, sorry. Uhm.. We were just waiting for the doctors to give us an idea of how long we’ve got.” You glanced to your son, giving him a sad smile. “That’s who I thought you were, when I heard talking.”
“Nope. Just the superhero guy.” Sam gave you a sweet smile.
“Please.” You gestured to your son and sat back down in your chair. “Continue.”
You got a nod, and then he was looking at your son again, pencil poised between his fingers and ready to write. “So, what was I asking you… Oh right! Favourite colour. You said green?”
“Yes. But I also really like yellow or gold.”
“Yellow and gold..” he wrote the words down on his clipboard.
“Sir?”
He turned, and when he saw the man in the doorway holding two coffees, he smiled and moved to the door. You stood, taking the one Sam offered you, and gave the man beyond a thankful smile as he dug into his pocket and produced two pudding cups, both chocolate, and a plastic spoon. “Thank you, Cas.”
“Always, Sir.” His eyes shifted to you, a polite smile gracing his lips before he disappeared again into the hallway.
“Thank you, you really didn’t have to.”
“I don’t mind.” He smiled again, putting the pudding cups on your son’s table and wheeling it closer. “Next question. If you could have one superpower, any superpower, no matter how ridiculous, what would it be?”
Your son gave this one a lot of thought. You sipped on your coffee as the room fell silent for several minutes. “You know Teen Titans Go?”
“Of course.”
“I really like Beast Boy.” You son grinned. “I would like to change to different animals.”
“Ah, so shape shifting. That’s a good one.” Sam smiled, putting his own coffee down so he could write on his clipboard.
“What superpower would you pick?”
Sam glanced up, surprised by the question. “You know, I always thought Thor’s Hammer was pretty cool.” His mouth quirked up into a half smile. “Batman has all the best gadgets, but no powers, so... It’s a tough one.”
“Do you think Batman could pick up Thor’s hammer?”
“God, no.” Sam shook his head. “I don’t think even Batman thinks that he’d be worthy. Not with how crazy he gets about the Joker.”
“I think it would be pretty cool, though.” Your son grinned, and Sam had to agree. “You know, I think if mom had to choose a superpower, she’d be a water bender, like Katara, from Avatar.”
“Oh? Why do you think that?”
“Because then she could heal people. Water benders are healers.”
Sam looked at you, the look on your face. “And she’d want to heal you more than anything?”
“Yeah. Mom always says she wishes she could.”
“You know what? I think I’d like to be a water bender for that reason, too.” You glanced up, and Sam was smiling at you. “Alright, next on the list.” He put his clipboard down and turned to your son again. “Do you feel up to standing for a bit? I just need measurements.”
“Yeah okay. But.. can I eat my pudding first?”
“Have your pudding after. It’s not going anywhere.”
“But mom! I need my strength.” he pouted, puppy dog eyes and all, and you sighed, relenting with a nod. “Yes!”
Sam laughed and shook his head. “I use to give my brother that same look to get what I wanted.”
“Mom never says no to that look.”
“Neither does my brother. That’s how I got him to help me pay for fashion design when I switched majors.” he winked with a grin. “Want to help me design your costume?”
“Really!?”
“Sure.” Sam moved and sat on the edge of the bed, sliding over his clipboard and pencil. “Just find a blank page, and draw any ideas you might have for it. I’ll go get some colours, if you want, and I’ll base my design on that.”
“This is so cool!”
You watched as your son shifted how he was sitting, trying to get comfortable. “Here, I’ll raise your bed a bit.” moving to the end, you hit the button that brought the head of the bed up higher. “Better?”
“Thanks, mom.”
Tumblr media
Sam sat in the virtually empty cafeteria as he sketched on a piece of paper, one of many that littered the table. He was lost in his own thoughts, his own world, until a cup being placed on the table just in his line of vision had him looking up.
"Hey." You gave him a smile. "Just thought I'd return the favour. Wasn’t sure how you take it so it’s black, but I can go get you-” you gestured behind you.
“Black is fine, really. And you didn’t have to.”
“Wanted to. Also wanted to say thank you.”
“For what? Coffee? It’s-”
“For what you’re doing. The Superhero Program. He’s so excited.” you chuckled. “He’s got something to look forward to.”
“Did you find out how long he’s got?” You nodded sadly. “How long?”
Sliding into a seat across from him, you placed your own steaming cup of coffee down in front of you and sighed. “Anywhere between six months to a year. He’s only 9. He might not see 10, his birthday was a month ago, I-”
“Hey, sometimes they’re wrong.” He reached out, putting a hand over yours.
You shook your head. “We’ve been told this before, and-”
“How long ago?”
Biting your bottom lip, you took a moment to answer. “Two years ago.”
“See? They could be wrong again.”
“Or they could finally be right.”
“Then I better get moving on his costume.” He gave you a soft smile, his hand patting the top of yours before he pulled it back and started shuffling through papers to find a particular one and placing it on top of the others.
“You really took fashion design, huh?”
“Mhmm.” he hummed, taking hold of the pencil again.
“You said you changed majors. What were taking before?”
“Law.”
“That’s a hell of a change.”
“That’s what my brother said.” he glanced up with a smile. “Then he saw the class.” You gave him a confused look. “Chicks.” You rolled your eyes at him and he laughed. “He almost enrolled himself.”
“Why’d you take it?”
He shrugged. “I was realizing maybe Law wasn’t for me, as much as I wanted to help people.”
“Fashion is helping people?”
“If you make enough money and use it right, yeah. I’m here, aren’t I? This isn’t the only program I’m associated with, though it is the one that gets most of my time.”
“What’d you say your name was again?”
“Sam Winchester.” Nodding to yourself, you decided you’d google him later, see what else he volunteered his time to. “As much as I’m enjoying your company, shouldn’t you be getting back upstairs? He’s going to worry where you are.”
“He finally fell asleep, so I thought I’d grab something to eat.” He glanced at your single coffee cup. “Nothing really appealed to me.”
He gave you an understanding nod. “Hang on.” He pulled out his phone, and quickly dialed. “Hey, Cas? Mind grabbing one more thing?”
“No, you don’t-” your hand came up, as if to stop him, but he waved you off.
“He’s already at the restaurant down the street. What do you want?”

The Legend of Zelda: Stone of Paths: Main Characters and Introduction
Here we are the designs of the Link and Zelda from the concept of a fangame I’m creating: Stone of Paths, which it could be considered as a prequel of BOTW. Before I start, however, I do want to thank my friend g0thi-cr0c, who patiently helped me with the translation of the first messy draft: thank thank you a lot!
I’m really really sorry, true Zelda fans, if this AU is kinda inconsistent with canon: despite I tried to inform myself as best I can do, I’m aware there are something I’ve might be missed; therefore if you notice some continuity or even logical errors, tell me! As you may notice in the next lines, the following are the basics of the games: so I didn’t deepened some parts of the story nor the character, and if I can get some help from some enthusiasts, I can be more than happy! So criticism is more than accepted! Short Version (also known as tl;dr): Setted 10.500 years before BOTW main events, the quest of this incarnation of Link is to defeat a Ganon which split itself into the three (plus two after an event) timelines which started from Ocarina of Time. Starting from the northern of the Akkala Region during the Child Timeline, the Hero of Paths (initially a simple forester) will be helped by Cice, a fairy sent by Zelda to call Link, Tiusha, the daughter of the Gerudo Matriarch and Nanas, a Sheikah who discovered and passed a part of his life to study and develop the Sheikah Slate and its correlations with the Guide Stones. He will give Link the fruit of his studies in order to travel to other timelines. Even the Princess herself will help the hero, albeit her distant relationship with him: initially emotionally afflicted by a tragedy happened in the game’s beginning, she will slowly be aware of herself and unlocking Hylia’s powers. In the final dungeons her presence will be fundamental! ———————————————— Link, the Hero of Paths: the main protagonist of this game; he lives with his horse Epona in the village of Redleaf, northern Akkala: a zone particularly liked by wayfarers for its peculiar position between mountains and seaside. His job is to be a forester but often he helps his fellow villagers in their everyday duties. Gifted by a very good sense of orientation and sword skills, Link is already celebrated in his homeland, mostly for bravely protecting it by the countless monsters who usually scare the wayfarers during their wander. His adventure starts in the beginning of Autumn: the entire village of Redleaf was preparing to host the yearly Fall Festival, and since it was the period of the year which traditionally attracted most tourists, Link overworked himself to make surd the festival was going as best it could be. In the day the festival begun, a mysterious, horrific, creature suddenly appeared in the town nearly destroying it, causing both the tourists and the locals to run away. As soon as he could, Link took his wooden sword and fought the monster but was unexpectedly hit hard by the beast, leaving him nearly dead. In his uncertain state, he heard a muffled voice which tried desperately to tell him something he couldn’t distinguish. That voice vanished just after. Soon after, he was woken up by Cice, a little Fairy who took care of him. After the fairy presented herself as to be sent by Princess Zelda, who desperately tried to send him help with her weak telepathic powers. The magic being begged Link’s help in order to save Hyrule from the return of Ganon and his fellow army, promising him the safety of the village as well: when the forester accepted, Cice hurried Link and Epona to go to the Kokiri Forest, where the Master Sword was protected  and to defeat Ganon as soon as possible. In the woods, despite the Deku Tree and the Sword’s spirit agreed for the Hero to extract it, they both weren’t as sure as they were with the other Links: despite their awareness of the heroic nature of the Akkalan forester, they still had the sensation he was too weak to defeat this force, but didn’t know what exactly led them to these thoughts. They felt this incarnation of Ganon was really different, almost as he came from another world but at the same time they couldn’t prove it, so they preferred remaining quiet. With a new sword in the sheath, the hero ran towards Hyrule Castle, where he met Zelda for the first time a little before trying to defeat Ganon. Despite the weakness of her powers,Zelda still cared about his arrive, to the point to give him some of the best weapons in the castle. She also made her mother bless him, despite the queen being deeply worried about the lack of her daughter’s actual powers. But when Link managed to defeat the beast and everything was about to be restored into their original form, a dark force revived Ganon, allowing him to be even more powerful than he used to be; it destroyed the already corrupted castle, killing almost everyone who lived there at the sole impact, including the Queen of Hyrule. In the tragedy, during the escape from a falling castle, the Hero accidentally lost the Master Sword, but at the same time found the barely surviving body of Princess Zelda. Cice ordered the swordman to escort her to Kakariko Village, the birthace of her old nurse Impa; she the only surviving person who could cure her. After a troubled travel, they arrived to the village: surprisingly, Impa was already aware and prepared of their visit, having been advised by the late spirit of Zelda’s mother in dream. Without anything else to do, and shocked by the dispersion of his beloved villagers and failure of his heroic duties, the swordsman was requested by Impa to met Nanas, a Sheikah scientist. A former ambulant shopkeeper, he’s known for leaving behind his former life to do researches about a miraculous Stone (which will be called the Sheikah Stone terminal in BOTW). This stone can memorize some new information which can also be manipulated into runes; they afflict the surrounding world with the connection of a smaller rudimentary tablet made with an extremely rare material (also known as a first version of the Sheikah Slate we’ll see in BOTW). As Link first stepped into Nanas’ home, the stone glowed in a light Nanas didn’t ever see before, and automatically installed an unusual  rune the scientist remembered not programming: when activated, Link could see passages otherwise invisible which could lead him directly to the monsters Ganon sent through all Hyrule. The first passage he found brought, in spite of himself, to the first beast he met in a deserted Redleaf village. After finally destroying it,Link could open another secret passage which led him… in the same place. But something at the same time seemed to have changed: some of the buildings, or new faces which couldn’t recognize Link at all. As the hero remembered, they were preparing themselves to host a festivity; however, when asked about the Fall Festival, the people looked at him strangely and replied they actually were excited about the upcoming visit of King Horatio Casimir Hyrule. Between the greeting crowd, the King recognised Link instantly, deeply surprising the hero: as the King would tell him in a second moment, the true reason he visited such a far village was a Prophecy that has been handed down for centuries. It told a green dressed Hero would come from another Hyrule’s Land of Autumn at the time in which a single Princess Zelda existed in all the three timelines and introduced the Fallen Timeline. Unlike the other two parallel Hyrules, the people living in this one were generally aware of not being the only one. Added to the fact the King didn’t have a distinctive legacy since the premature death of his wife, he became slowly worried about the right time for the prophecy to happen, so he decided to go against the court’s will, both relieved and even more worried to be right about his encounter. In fact, both Link and Ganon would have to come at the same time; in order to prevent a total destruction in his land, the King explicitly asked Link to bring him the Zelda from his dimension, defeat Ganon and finally reunite both the timelines he was in, along with the third one. Therefore, after hearing the King’s request, Link and Cice went back to the Kakariko village in his world and told Impa, Zelda and Nanas about the three Hyrule timelines; they started their main quest, in order to find the Master Sword again and rebuild Link’s native village. Princess Zelda Telene Hyrule: the Princess of Hyrule and first female born in the Royal Family of Hyrule after 100 years, therefore a descendant of Hylia. For this reason, added to the possibility of an incoming menace, her concerned parents took the drastic decision to rarely let the Princess go out of the castle; this norm had become harsher after the premature death of her father when she was still a child. The Queen of Hyrule, who wanted to show the daughter the variety of the reign’s population and tey to make feel Zelda less alone, decided to bring in her castle some exponents of every Hyrulean race; and the child became particularly close with the Fairy Cice. Aside of her isolation, she spent a rather peaceful childhood. While she was already prepared to act as a proper princess and was raised in a peaceful period, Zelda was still worried about her future both as a queen and as a descendant of Hylia, fearing to disappoint her loving yet severe mother. Even at the beginning of her eighteenth year of life she couldn’t do anything aside from a weak power of telepathic speech she gained when she was a toddler. In an apparently normal day of her life, an huge malevolent entity possessed her castle, imprisoning almost everyone in it: the Hyrule army tried to defend from the beast but were mortally defeated. While the Queen and her daughter tried to think about a solution, Zelda decided to send a telepathic help appeal to everyone in the kingdom which only a comatose Link received. With both hope in her heart and worry about his safety, she asked Cice , the smallest being in her castle, therefore the most likely to pass unnoticed to Ganon, to reach for the hero and to cure him with a mixture of a medicine she prepared herself and the fairy’s own healing powers. She couldn’t do anything but revolving her prayers to the Goddess Hylia and searching for the best weapons in the castle, in order to give Link the best aid she could offer. Usually described as calm, imaginative and compassionate, this Zelda often shows the tendency to be overly obsessed by negative thoughts and guilt feelings, especially after almost her entire court was killed by Ganon. Despite her first encounter with Link in the castle was hopeful, she will close herself after the accident and feel useless to have not helped enough to avoid that tragedy. Spending most of her day in her room, she often asked herself the reasons she was gifted by such a weak power and why she wasn’t as powerful as her ancestors, trying to give herself an answer she couldn’t completely satisfy. She saw Link’s presence as the concrete incarnation of her own failures  to her duties as both a Princess and a descendant of Hylia; therefore, when he came back to Kakariko Village from his interdimensional travel, she preferred avoided directly talking to him, preferring being mediated by Impa instead. However, she was aware about the vicious circle which her behaviour could to her and the few people she could trust, so she took the wise yet difficult choice to restart a temporary new life and get used to the simple village life. Despite she was still emotionally overwhelmed by her beloved mother’s grief, she was strong enough to become Nanas’ assistant; while she offered him to do some smaller works for him, she slowly became fascinated by his researches. She also befriended Tiusha, a cheerful Gerudo girl who kept staying in Kakariko village after finding her ideal voe in Nanas. Despite her firstly avoiding behaviour, Zelda became progressively closer to Link as well: she was deeply displeased about the lack of help she offered him, but eventually apologized to Link in tears and was happily forgiven, keeping evolving herself further. Positively influenced by both Nanas’ brilliant mind and constant effort in what he does, by Tiusha’s optimistic yet powerful behaviour and by Link’s selflessness and courage, she slowly became more free by her negative thoughts and influence of her mother visiting the lands around Kakariko village for some research requested by Nanas. In order to travel safely and to reassure a worried Impa about her wellbeing as both a surrogate child and as a Princess, Zelda also restarted practicing archery and learnt some sword basics. However, the moment Zelda will remember the most was when another emotional crisis came: the sudden miss of her mother’s love and role model rapidly interrupted her slowly healing process. This time, however, something changed; her heart was instilled with her first wish, a spark of hope in her previously pessimistic mind-set: to visit the Spring of Power, the Spring of Courage and, lastly, the Spring of Wisdom. She was insecure about her mastery with the weapons, so she asked Link, who already had to go there in order to find the Master Sword, if he could escort her. When the green dressed hero accepted, they prepared themselves and left the village despite Nanas, Cice and Impa’s doubts. Acting as the third and last guide in the game, after Cice and Tiusha, her bond with Link intensified to the point of revealing him her past and her feelings when the swordsman escorted her and protected her from the monsters. When they arrived to the Spring of Power and defeated Ganon together, Zelda started to slowly regain Hylia’s powers, fully obtaining them as she arrived to the Spring of Wisdom. As she would tell Link and Cice, when she prayed at each Spring, she internally reached up a state of ecstasy and felt surrounded by a comforting light Link would only catch a small grasp of; she also heard the reassuring words of her mother, who told her she was proud of her progress and that she would be a great Queen to Hyrule . Lastly she saw a beautiful and mysterious woman who kissed her right hand without saying anything. Back in her world, a Triforce jewel in her gown appeared. She felt for the first time in full peace with herself, as she felt her telepathy power improving and other abilities unlocking. As she progressively gained her powers, her help was crucial during in the resolution of the last few dungeons, and her intervention (as King Horatio hoped) was crucial to reunite each Hyrule into an united big reign. Along with Tiusha, Cice and Nanas’ technology, she participated in the final battle with a dimension-merged Ganon, the most dangerous Hyrule ever witnessed; her godly abilities, united with Link’s skills and Master Sword (merged from the three dimensions by Hyrule’s unification) managed to defeat and seal it.   This incarnation of the dimension-merged Ganon, however, lasted for 500 years until it became more intelligent and powerful: its freeing became the Calamity Ganon whose legend was narrated in Breath of the Wild. At the end of the adventure, despite facing up a first politically difficult period, Zelda was crowned as Hyrule’s Queen and her wisdom and diplomacy were loved by her subjects; it’s hinted in the game’s credits she visited the Redleaf village to speak again with a Link who implicitly accepted to marry her. Their children’s progenie after 10.500 years will give the birth to King Rhoam, and then to the Zelda of Breath of the Wild. Nanas’ discoveries and research, already known and developed by a small elite of Sheikah people Link would meet into his journey, were made famous by Zelda’s narration of the events: even more people were interested in his technology and his very first uses of the terminals and the Sheikah tablet, to the point they developed them for more uses, just as the future Sheikah Towers and Shrines. King Horatius from the Fallen Timeline abdicated the throne in favour of the owner of the Triforce and willingly dedicated himself to help the now Queen Zelda as her political adviser. Thanks to their resourceful knowledge about politics, as well as Hyrule’s cultures and timelines, their governing guidelines were useful to keep the Reign in peace for 500 years. Thank you a lot for reading! I hope you’ll like it:3
So… I happened to be more into Zelda.
After my initial skepticism due to its high praise from both critique and pubblic, I finally brought Breath of the wild, which it’s revealed to be the best decision I did in a while: I loved that post-apocalyptic setting, that ruins, the charm of villages and characters blended with a fun gameplay and the fitting music! *v*
I also loved the characters and the sparse storytelling, and even the Zelda herself, to which I never really was a fan due to her kinda aggressive behavior and unfitting character design, she has still a lot of interesting and relatable parts! I especially like how she struggles to do her duties and her difficult relationship with her father. I didn’t like however, how fastly and suddenly she got her powers.
I’m looking forward to buy even more game from this saga, despite I still like Mario and Pikmin better, maybe starting from Skyward Sword, which has such an intriguing plot.

Hey there! Can we hear more about your Almost Calamity Vaati AU? I'm intrigued by the design and need to hear more.
hey back! first of all, smashy!! you’re way too sweet, thank you so much!
but, absolutely! so actually, this AU existed a little while before BOTW released, and before we knew a whole lot about the mechanics behind calamity ganon and “malice”. initially i just wanted to write a vaati-centric fic that was heavily inspired by games like bloodborne and SOMA, so you can imagine how happy i was when a mechanic similar to the old blood/WAU was introduced to zelda canon, haha.
i’ll bullet everything so that it doesn’t get stupid long;
AU assumes that vaati is the first incarnation of demise and that his nature corrupts the light force that he managed to snatch away from zelda back in TMC. i also headcanon that the light force functions a little bit differently from the triforce, in that it’s meant to be a kind of “life support” system—designed to protect hylia’s descendants, because the minish are faithful little dudes. so basically, you’ve got a source of magic that’s constantly generating radiant energy that becomes instantaneously corrupted because of the nature of its host, but that’s also hardwired to keep whoever it’s inside in one piece. this is how i figure vaati’s stayed as “together” as he has despite thousands of years of solitary imprisonment and torture that’d ordinarily kill someone in a matter of weeks. the light force keeps him alive and tries really hard to not let him completely fall apart; but who he is has him brimming with malice and a stone’s throw away from where we see ganon at the end of BOTW.
the AU also assumes that vaati followed a different path than he does in canon. i’ve almost always written to my own AU version of a downfall timeline vaati, where instead of FSA happening, vaati is unsealed post-FS by ganondorf to participate in the unification war immediately before OOT. he’s sealed right after the war ends, and unsealed thoooousands of years later than he would’ve been in canon, probably just before or after BOTW takes place (if we assume that BOTW is at the end of the downfall timeline, ha)
the release of BOTW and some of the theories behind calamity ganon were the kind of Straw That Broke The Camel’s Back in that, when i was first futzing around with this AU, it was originally for a fic where vaati was treated as some kind of SCP creature; originally dug up in the sword by some kind of mining company and then transferred to and imprisoned in a lab where all kinds of freaky things happened. once BOTW came out, i ditched the modern fantasy concept and settled on the yiga finding the sword instead, and doing p much what they (supposedly?) did to ganondorf; or at least starting to before vaati was able to make a break for it.
this AU also gives vaati his own “blights,” because the idea of vaati having freaky powerful body horror clones is kind of funnyronic considering his relationship with clones on the heroes’ end.
tldr: vaati is an incarnation of demise. instead of FSA happening, vaati fights with ganondorf during the hyrulean civil war, is sealed after the war ends and unsealed thousands of years later by the yiga in the downfall timeline, either immediately pre- or post-BOTW. the yiga experiment with vaati’s essense in the four sword, making funky blight-clones out of his soul in their attempt to extract and harness the raw, ancient magic that vaati is chock full of. vaati escapes the sword during one of their extractions and, due to yiga fiddling and also sitting in his own corruption inside of the sword for so many thousands of years, is a gross, mildewy, sick dude who’s frothing with malice and just a couple steps away from losing the last of his humanity and going Big Feral. the light force is keeping him together like bubblegum holding the joints of a toothpick mannequin.
