Creepsters AU - Important Students Part 2

Lila: The daughter of Satan, among Lila’s many demonic powers is a knack for making people believe every word she says. A dedicated ally of the creepsters, she is in a loving relationship with the Maestro. Lila also has a talent for manipulation, which she uses to procure valuable assets for her friends.

Thorne: A girl who’s had a VERY rough go in life, Thorne is GhostRose’s twin sister and the object of her obsession. She despises anything and everything to do with her sister, and wishes nothing more than to see her taken down. A bit of a pessimist, she isn’t quick to trust people, but is very clever and a skilled fighter, making her a valuable ally.

Aurore: A kooky witch with a caring streak, Aurore wields power over the weather, not unlike her girlfriend Mireille. A close friend of Mylene, she often helps her with spells for the heroes. As strange as she can be, including a bizarre tendency to address herself in the third person, Aurore is a loyal friend and a force to be reckoned with against the creepsters.

Mireille: A cool and zen-like witch, Mireille is not one to show much emotion. Some exceptions to this are her girlfriend, Aurore, who they share their power over the weather with and their best friend Mylene. Mireille loves to make mischief with her magic, but is firmly on the hero’s side, helping Mylene in assisting the trio with their potions.

Jean: A dedicated drama student with a love for modern musicals, Jean has a strong mistrust for ghosts and spirits. It stems from the shame that his ancestor is the Phantom. He loves to sing, especially with his beloved boyfriend, Austin T. They prefer to stay out of the monster-fighting business, as it's not really their scene.

Austin T: Jean’s boyfriend, Austin T is a shy boy with a passion for theater. Suffering from anxiety, he often finds himself in fits of worry, especially now that his wicked ancestor has entered the picture. An introvert, it takes him a while to make friends, and those he does have, his fellow Austins, often assist him with bold romantic gestures.

Zoe: The half sister to Chloé, Zoé has to put up with a lot of crap, which can cause her to unleash her snarky side. She’s not afraid to put Chloe in her place when she has to, especially when she’s messing with her partner, Cosette. Zoe also has a love for listening to and singing rock music, which she shares with Cosette.

Ismael: The defacto leader of the Buster Squad, Ismael is quick on his feet and quick at thinking on them as well. Typically wrangling his more eccentric teammates when they get out of hand, Ismael also has a snarky side, which shows when he gets into it with Simon!

Denise: The biggest and strongest of the buster crew, Denise is also the least afraid of ghosts! Always ready to charge into battle, they’ll do what they have to to protect their friends. Especially their boyfriend, Simon, a fellow ghost buster who they like to lovingly tease.

Simon: The Buster Squad’s resident gadget genius, Simon is a logic-minded boy with a bit of a sarcastic streak. His tendency to plan every little detail contests with his partner Denise’s tendency to charge in headfirst, though he still adores them. He serves as a kind of apprentice to Mendeliev, who he assists with proton packs and other tech.

Cosette: The most energetic and enthusiastic of the Buster crew, Cosette has a deep fascination with spirits that prevents her from fearing them. They serve as Bustier’s apprentice, often accompanying her on ghost observations. It is very loving and protective of their girlfriend Zoé.

Reshma: Nearly as wealthy as Chloe, but ten times as nice, Reshma serves as the big sister figure for her class. She keeps an eye on all her classmates and helps to preserve calm when the creepsters cause trouble. At times, the pressure of needing to uphold her perfect image can be too much, but her friends are there to keep her grounded.

Lacey: A girl from East London, Lacey is a hot-blooded girl who’ll mouth off at any of the creepsters if she gets the chance! She’s like an aloof big sister to her class, teasing them good-naturedly but looking out for them all the same.

(posting late, computer broke before I got to post it after the Alice one shot!)

"Not guilty", a chorus erupted around her from the party, she bit her tongue. Pearls never would've thought she'd find herself on trial, especially in the face of murder. The crime they suggest hadn't happened yet, but she still felt a heavy pit in her stomach.

"What would you do for a chance to have him back, would you kill for it?"

Her face drops to the ground.

Today has been oh so confusing, for poor, sweet Alice. When the day started, she almost could have sworn that she may have been someone she was not, but everyone insisted it was her after all, poor, sweet Alice. Her dad when he was alive, told her a few fanatical tales like this, of days that were off, people who were big and small and not who they really were at all, but it was too much for poor Alice even then, she liked the story's that started at the start, and finished at the end with a happy ever after.

But- this story was not like that at all, with a beginning and an end, it was one that made her feel like she was going in loops! She saw Kravitz, the white rabbit, she touched him even, hung gently on the long ribbons of his coat tail, and he just quickened away because he was late. Late, late for what? After all she was standing here! But that was the issue wasn't it, maybe, just maybe, she really was Alice, because she had never, when she was someone else, been shrugged off so easily from Kravitz. Or maybe he was right, and he was the rabbit, and not her missing, reaper father. How peculiar indeed, as she used to be one of his favorite people, at least she was, when she wasn't Alice.

She went through a variety of doors, that had not been there before, she swears. Then there was the tea party, without tea, her mind in absolute knots over being offered a cup and then none was given. To make matters worse, she was a rat at once, or twice! And then big, and then small! And she was so confused when she wound up on who she almost thought could've been her god-dad's doorstep, if she was someone else that is. She has a bite to eat, how peculiar that it was not off in this twisted place she thought. And then once more she stood in front of people she should've known, that should've known her, but her mind flipped around again and again seeing her catty friend, the Cheshire cat, here, one of the places they needed to go having told them poorly instructions. How odd it all was!

After a long, hard, very very confusing day for sweet Alice, she finally tumbled her way, ever so clumsily, down off a wall, into the rose bushes, face first; her blue dress and apron snagged on the thorns and her face, stung up and angry threatening to bleed. Alice couldn't have been more mortified. How embarrassing it would've been.

Everything stopped for Alice when she heard the Red Knight, brushing off her skirt, her eyes snapped up.

When she heard the Red Knight, she could've sworn that all along, she wasn't really Alice, she was Pearls Rortugal-Lavillant. And that the tall rabbit this morning was her missing father, and the red suit of armour grunting at her to get inside was her very dead, very gone, dad. He stood about the same height after all, didn't he, and he crouched to her. Pearls wailed violently, she held him like a shaking leaf, because she was here, and he was crouched asking her to leave. Why didn't he want her, why didn't anyone today want her!

"Get inside" the knight said. Poor, foolish, Alice, she sobbed so openly at his rebuttal for her to walk away, but not because he was asking her to leave, but because she remembered that he was truly, really, already gone. As she turned in her black buckled shoes, Pearls knows she heard him say softly, "Just play along, I love you.".

Her little shoes tromped to Enid, her mind a confusing fog, her lungs hiccuped in air trying to forget the sound of him telling her to leave but obeying his instructions. Pearls always listened to him, and now he was telling her play along.

How confusing it is to play along when you don't understand the game! When she entered the palace, she heard her options inside the great hall, they insisted she'd commit a crime she'd never even imagined. How could this be what Antolio wanted her to do, her ears must've played tricks, because she thought no dad would have wanted her to play along with being put on trial!

"Maybe it didn't happen yet, maybe it will. What would you do for the chance? Would you kill to have him back?"

Maybe -- she would play along. Maybe that is what he wanted. Maybe she had to play.

Super DC AU: After Thorn and Zhuqué save the class and apprehend the Henchman, they discover the reason why the Henchman attacked and learn that Rose is Specter's granddaughter. Afterwards, they pay a visit to the Lavillants.

They’re doing it to make sure they’re okay. They’ve met Rose and her mom before. They know they’re good people and aren’t worried about them being like Specter. 

But with the henchman going after them, they might be in more danger.

chapter one: but he who dares not grasp the thorn, should never crave the rose

When she finally meets her soulmate, Marinette realizes how obvious her tattoo is. She doesn’t think fate could be more obvious: it’s a detailed pink rose, every petal bright with color. It’s clearly no coincidence that on her first day of collège, she eats her lunch next to a beautiful blonde named Rose, who offers her a whiff of her perfume and talks excitedly about their new school.

Marinette should be overjoyed: she’s 11, learning how to bake, and has already met her soulmate. But on Rose’s bare upper arm is the tattoo of Ladybug earrings.

Marinette’s pretty sure those earrings have nothing to do with her.

“Is everything okay?” Tom Dupain asks of his wife, bewildered at the sight of their slumbering daughter. There are dried tears caked on her face and her breathing is deep; Tom wonders if she’s cried herself to sleep.

Sabine sighs, her hands stroking Marinette’s hair as she responds quietly. “She met her soulmate today.”

“Isn’t that good?”

She shakes her head, shooting him a small, sad smile. “Their bond isn’t mutual.”

Tom sucks in a huge breath at that, eyes blown wide open as he stares unbelievingly. “Are you sure? Maybe that’s not actually her soulmate or maybe the tattoo signifies a later time in her life.”

“Don’t tell me that,” Sabine chuckles, but her heart isn’t in it. There’s a crack in her voice, as if the idea of her daughter growing up nursing heartache is too much for even her to bear. “But only time will tell now.”

He takes a seat next to his wife, wrapping his arms around her and squeezing her close. “DO you remember how long it took us to realize we were soulmates?”

“A little too well, maybe. Knowing that I had your tattoo but not knowing that you had mine was agonizing.”

“Thank goodness for alcohol, since it gave me the confidence to pull off my underwear right in front of you.”

Sabine bursts into laughter at that, freezing as Marinette stirs. Her shoulder gently nudges Tom’s, her eyes glittering with humor as she recalls the memory as well. They stay like that, comforting their daughter in her sleep until Tom walks her up to her room instead.

“She’ll be okay, won’t she, Tom?”

“She’s our daughter,” Tom responds, watching Marinette smile in her sleep. “She’ll be more than okay.”

Rose Lavillant’s favorite favorite flowers are cherry blossoms, Marinette learns. They sit next to each other in History, and every time their arms brush together, Marinette feels electricity shoot through her veins.

This is. Her soulmate . The person who should love her so deeply, color drains away if she passes away. Rose was destined to be so connected to Marinette’s soul, there was a permanent imprint on Marinette.

How was it possible Marinette wasn’t meant for Rose in the same way? How was is possible that Rose’s heart didn’t flutter whenever she saw Marinette, knowing that her soulmate was so close?

How was it possible that, before she’s even hit puberty, the universe is cruel enough to shatter her heart every time Rose talks about meeting her soulmate?

JuleRose July - Arkham AU Short

Thorne and Feline Shadow laughed and listened to eachother with ease as they sat inside their shared cell at Arkham. As young villains who attended DC Academy, a school dedicated to crimefighters and criminals, they had to spend their offtime inside the asylum. Of course, just because they were locked up, didn't mean they would stay there very long. They had planned yet another escape, tonight their destination was Musée Lumière, a great place to snag some anniversary gifts for eachother.

"So, one of our lovely little felines will distract the guards with their cuteness" Feline Shadow said, holding Teekl, the cuddly kitten that would be joining them on the heist.

"And Pamela will make quick work of them if they even think of pulling out their guns." Thorne added, stroking their ivy plant as it cooed for its mamas. Of course, Rose Lavillant was not allowed to have any contact with plants at the asylum, but Caline Bustier, their MWN teacher and psychiatrist at Arkham, had smuggled some in for students. The girlfriends grinned as their venus fly trap, Frank, happily snapped at their black cat, Teekl.

"And Alya's prepared to deal with the security cameras" Feline Shadow stated "So we've got a little time before any hero shows up."

"Who do you think they'll send this time, Jules?"

The thief merely smirked. "They won't want to waste anyone too powerful on a crime that doesn't wreck the city."

"Ooh!" Thorne squealed. "Maybe The Black Bat will try and stop us again!"

Feline Shadow sighed and crossed her arms. "I wish, Rose, but I bet she'll just have Jess and Beck do the job." The Grey Bat and Nightking had been a constant thorn in their sides. She perked up when Thorne kissed her on the lips.

"Don't worry, kitty. No matter what happens, we'll be together. Now come on, let's break out of this joint."
