*Disclaimer: this post is written by an opinionated blogger that usually is not afraid to speak her own mind. I say it now and I also repeat it throughout the post – these are MY opinions, my thoughts. You can agree or disagree. Just don’t be an ass about it!!

28 Feb 2023 started out as a lovely quiet peaceful uneventful day.

Until it was no longer peaceful and uneventful, cause Mr. Chaos himself, a.k.a Jeon Jungkook, decided it’s time to liven things up.

28.2.2023 at 13:31 SKT Jeon Jungkook started a live.

*Anecdote time:

Just for a second here, before I go into the live, I would like to talk about the coincidental numbers playing here. Yes, we have another coincidence.

From the date:

2+2+2+2=8

8+3=11

8/11

You can also go with:

2+2+2+2+3=11

And the extra 8, bringing you to the same place:

8/11

Oh, and the time: 13:31 – 2 thirteens, mirrored (well the numbers are).

So, yeah, again, one of those strange coincidences that kind of keep happening time and time again with those two.

Moving on to the live itself.

This time it was on the shorter side, just under 30 minutes, JK letting us know in advance that it probably would be, as he had to leave for work soon.

And yet, he decided to do the live cause he was bored (and even though he hasn’t washed up yet either, a piece of information he shares with us later on).

J-Hope and JM showed up at the start, in the comments, once again. JK with his “oh, J-Hope” reaction and his special “JM’s here” one including his unmissable JM smile.

JM's last comment was Hyung is going to a shoot (filming), as in JM is.

And a special prize goes to JK's very special JM smile.

Now, I know there was a whole wave of (add annoying voice effect here): “JK asked JM and Hobi how they are doing” and “JK told them to be well”, followed by, of course: “boo to you, you lose, that means JK hasn’t seen either of them for a long time” and “clearly JK hasn’t seen JM for a while now, heh heh heh, we win”. If only you could see my rolling eyes at this point.

So, as usual, idiots will be idiots, and of course they twist things up to suit whatever and whichever narrative they want at that moment in time (cause the narratives, they keep changing as well, like constantly).

I will start by saying that even if that WAS the actual translation or WAS what JK was saying, then: SO WHAT? In what world can we not ask our significant others how they are or tell them to be well during the day, even if we saw them off to work that very morning? I mean in the actual living long term relationship world and not in the “we don’t have an idea about what a real relationship is and live in fantasy” world that is.

But you know what? We didn’t even have to go there, to that real life relationship world. Because JK, he wasn’t talking to JM and Hobi at that point.

He was talking to bloody army. Pity these ‘army’ didn’t realise JK was asking them how they are and to keep well.

So this is how it went down:

JK sees Hobi and JM. He reacts the way he does (you know, JM smile and all) and then says “it’s nice to see the members”.

Then he moves on to that Japanese word they were commenting about.

And only after that he goes on to say:

“Yeah, everyone, be well. Are you doing well?” followed by: “I’m growing my hair. What do you think?”

These 4 short sentences were all connected. The “everyone” is meant for us, the viewers. I also have to ask, do these idiots think the question about his hair was also meant for Hobi and JM?

Later on, around the 6:54 min. mark he once again asks: “everyone, what are you doing?” was that for JM and hobi as well?? She asked sarcastically…

Before I go on, and because I need to calm down for a second, can someone tell me please….

Is this person real????

Is it actually legal?

Ok, moving on…

JK telling us he doesn’t want to wash up, too lazy, and asks who wants to help him. Lol, JK, you don’t ask your fans something like that. I bet that ring at the door was someone coming to help you out… (I don’t believe I’m laughing about that, it was probably a bloody sasaeng…).

But you know, that “I’m too lazy to wash up” did sound a little familiar.

So, let's remember for one second a certain other who stated just that, and a clear solution to it all.

JK explains Bam is in a new training centre, but also that he hasn’t been well. It seems this is an ongoing issue, well a few issues (stomach, spine, skin). Poor Bammy, and poor JK too, he does seem really worried (Bam post will come…at some point…I promised and I will deliver).

He talks a little about the new centre and explains that they have camping options on site, and that:

“We’ll gather around all cozy and nice, and drink some beer”.

I’m kind of wondering if this translation is accurate and if it is, then who the “we” is that he is referring to.

JK talks about going out for drinks with friends the night before the live. He also talks about having a full pork belly delivered and grilling it, so now the whole place smells of meat (me asking: do they not have proper ventilation in the kitchen in such a high end apartment?).

JK says he made himself a hearty meal, but couldn’t finish it off, as his stomach shrunk.

Ahm, yeah, frown.

Editorial:

I, as opposed to those that think JK is great, happy, doing well, don’t think that at all. I think he is going through something. Maybe, as a very good friend of mine called it yesterday, a quarter life crisis. But he’s not ok. And him calling himself lazy, which he does after saying he doesn’t want to wash up and will someone come help him, and before saying “I don’t want to do anything”,

doesn’t explain it all away.

It doesn’t explain this, for instance, assuming this translation is correct:

Yes, I think Bam’s health is weighing on him. But I think it’s more than that too. He told us in the previous lives that he hasn't been working, although he hasn't finished his album yet. There was also a sense of loneliness, talking about how quiet the place is without Bam (read between the lines too). It probably isn't easy for him this new reality, in which he's separated for long periods of time from the person he has been practically connected at the hip to for almost 24/7 almost 365 days a year for 10 years.

That’s my gut feeling. You can take it or leave it.

One good thing I did notice and am happy about is that he has put on some weight again. That last live at the gym, his jaw line, he was unhealthily thin. Evidently (by him), he’s eating again, so that’s good.

End of editorial.

At this point JK moves on, to the thing that he feels most at ease with, and that’s singing.

He sings “To find you” – a beautiful love song.

A song he says he’s heard recently. I’d say more than heard once.

He KNOWS the song.

And this isn’t the first time he’s singing this song either. I’d go so far as to say JK knew the lyrics off by heart, well at the very least some of them. He clearly likes the song. 😊

He starts singing and stopped by the door bell ringing (well, probably not door bell, more like downstairs entrance).- that’s when he doesn’t recognize whoever it was and doesn’t let them in. He looks at the camera and then comes back to us saying he doesn’t let in someone he doesn’t recognize. He giggles after saying he should sing a bit quieter, but then he looks back at the monitor (the door monitor), he does that again mid song. It felt like he wasn’t at ease then, which does makes me think: sasaeng?

Side note: love the way he just climbs and jumps over the sofa. Not first or last time we'll see him do that in this live, lol.

JK goes back to sing the song.

JK sings the song twice, cause the first version felt to him like it wasn’t heavy enough, the backtrack.

Mid 2nd performance he goes, well jumps over the sofa, to fetch another mic, and then continues to serenade us with the 2 mics.

Then he does a Jang Beom June song. A couple of times, first his version, then imitating him, well trying to in any case, lol.

After those performances JK asks for song recommendations.

And then comes the second bell, and JK talking to whoever that was (from the company probably, because he straight away tells/warns them he’s doing a live).

JK then comes back to explain about a garbage disposal unit that isn’t working (not him causing the damage – but why would that matter if the apartment was his?) and they are coming to take it away.

JK ended the live. And us mere mortals were sure that’s the end for today. We got to enjoy our boy. And when I say boy I mean young man (it’s just enjoy our boy rhymes…shoot me…well actually please don’t, but that’s what you get from someone that has year 4 level poetry).

JK came to be with us at a normal time of the day, when we are actually still awake (and when I say we I mean me of course), even though he was supposed to be getting ready for work. I mean, he kept saying on repeat that he was bored and that’s why he started the live, but dude, you have to get washed up, dressed and off to work in no time, so you do a live? Not that I’m complaining…

But low and behold, Mr. Jeon Jungkook decided that the 28th of Feb 2023 (you remember 8/11, wink wink) is going to be a super dramatic day, and approx. a couple of hours later, Mr. Jeon committed the mortal sin of obliterating his IG account. Wiping it out. Deleting it. Even deleting the app from his phone (his words).

JK came to us a little after that heinous and deliberate act to tell us:

Whoever thinks JK doing this, including letting us know he deleted the app, is not a statement, well idk what to say to that.

Why he did it, only he knows.

Do we take what he said at face value? We can. But then, if we think that they tell us everything without embellishment at times or without omitting at times, then that would make us super naïve.

My thoughts?

This is something JK said during the live (again, assuming Weverse translation is correct):

And yes, it was said in the same context of him getting ready, washed up, being lazy. But it means more than just being annoyed at having to get ready.

His words: “annoyed with everything…”

So my thoughts are that just like JK didn’t tell us all the story with the J and M tattoo, the placing, the connection, the meaning, he didn’t tell us the full reason for him deleting his 52 million follower JK branded IG account.

That just like we didn’t take what he told us during the Vminkook live in LA about how he would go to JM’s room 3 times a day because JM’s room was the closest to his, at face value, I don’t think we should with this either.

And these wouldn’t be the first or last times we’ve been told partial stories/ partial truths, parts of the stories being omitted or maybe even changed to suit our ears (cough hickey cough).

So, I believe this is bigger than just JK being bored with the app. Also the him being stressed by IG theory is not one I go for, as this was something we were told back in May 2022 when he deleted all his personal posts and turned the IG account into pure business/professional. Again, back then, in my opinion, not divulging the actual reason for doing so, but it doesn’t take too much to understand what led to it, including the timing of it all.

Just like JM (since around mid 2022) this account was used mostly for promotional purposes only (with a couple of exceptions for JM). When they had something to promote they posted on IG, otherwise they didn’t. And he could have continued doing that. No pressure what so ever. But he decided out of the blue, or not so out of the blue really, to end the game (pun intended - end game, you know…).

Does it have to do with the invasive video of his posted on IG just a few days earlier? Does it have to do with the dating rumors circulating? Does it have to do with his friends/colleagues/and friends of friends being harassed on IG by TKKs and possibly other fans? Does this have to do with companies following him to get traction and free publicity (cough CK cough)? Is this some kind of defiant act against the company, a rebellion of sorts? There could be 1001 reasons why JK did what he did, we will probably never really know why. But in one sweep of the finger JK deleted a buying force of over 52 million.

And yes, JK’s brand hasn’t been ruined, it’s not about his brand, it’s about how the company will use that selling power, how they are supposed to reach the audience. That was one of the biggest reasons the company set up those accounts for the members. Not out of the good of their hearts. Not because they wanted to give them a way to stay in touch with the fandom. MONEY folks. It’s always about money. And big money at that.

The IG accounts were there for promotion, for staying in touch with the fandom on a personal level (sells more) now that they were doing their solo acts, but also a lot of money exchanged hands when they opened those accounts (and I'll leave it at that).

There are those that say “well BH have their own IG account for promotions”, and indeed that’s true. But be real people. It lands different when the company is posting and when the idol himself is. It’s more personal. It’s the idol himself reaching out to the fans saying “look, this is what I’m up to now, please support me”. That by itself generates more sales. But also, the idol posting a pic of himself in a Dior outfit – everyone running to buy Dior. With no IG account where will said pic be posted? Weverse? Twitter? Not every IG follower is an actual fan of BTS. Many don’t even know what Weverse is. IG at this point has a wider reach than Weverse does.

What I’m saying here is that this action has financial consequences. And JK knew that. Stress or no stress, this is something he knew the company would not be happy with. Because this isn't a decision that affects him alone. It's a decision that affects the company as well. And he did it anyway.

Good for him.

Whatever the reason behind it.

Be it retaliation for his breach of privacy.

Be it a defiant act against the company.

Be it both and more.

Good for him.

I just hope, as impulsive as he is, that he got some form of legal advice prior to doing so, because this could definitely be in breach of contract, something that could have real consequences for him. This is not going live when told he shouldn’t or without staff present. This is big. This involves a lot of money. This might very well be him breaching a clause of his contract, requiring him to take part in whatever promotional activities the company deems necessary. And we don’t know what that contract looks like, but I do know that some contracts have set penalties for parties breaching this clause or another.

All I’m saying here is that it’s not as simple as pressing a delete button. There are complex issues here.

This is an action that can have consequences for JK if this is a step too far as far as they are concerned.

I guess we will wait and see how things work out.

Will JK keep in touch with us via Weverse?

Will we get more lives from him? And if so, how often?

Will these lives be from ‘home’, given what he told us in the past about permission from the company?

One thing I’m also curious about is where to now? Does him deleting IG mean he has no brand deals in the horizon and/or no solo releases planned any time soon? I'm not going to ask the next question that comes to mind. I think there are quite a few that have thought it already. And I don't think the answers are as cut and dry as some might think. All I'll say is, god I hope not.

I will end this post with my wishes:

I wish for JK to find his way if he is feeling a little lost, be happy, be content.

I wish for all the obstacles that stand in their way as a couple to just fuck off, including effing military service.

And if ms doesn't just disappear, I wish for it to pass as fast as possible and for us to be on the other side of it all. Them and us.

And if I'm already wishing for ms to be over, let's wish to be on the other side of the rainbow and meet them all healthy and happy for Festa 2025 and a comeback.

There are a few other wishes I'll keep to myself, you know, like win the lottery, for one...

I would wish for world peace, and end to racism, bigotry, hate, homophobia, transphobia, and all that crap, but let's be real here, I might be delusional, but not that delusional.

I hc that the Bargainer Statues are early depictions of the Fierce Deity (who's true form therefore has 4 eyes), who is referred to as a Kishin in Japanese, which according to folklore, are wrathful, powerful, even scary-looking beings & vicious fighters, but are also deeply compassionate, benevolent, & protectors at there core. They're said to enact just & righteous vengeance for those who've been wronged.

Anyway, my thoughts are that he is the 3rd in the Hylian/Demise triad, being where the Hero's Spirit originates from. I also hc that he created the Sheikah much like how Hylia created the Hylians. (So, if the naming conventions follow, his true name could start with "Shei" or "Sheik.")

Anyway, he's a god of war, the moon, heroism, & death. Which is why Link is always able to see spirits. He gathered spirits & fought or soothed Poes (the enemies) either by fighting them or playing the Song of Healing.

The Dark Clumps being pieces of the pseudo-flesh that spirits form to create Poes & the Depths Set being made from this pseudo-flesh.

Also, I hc that the symbols are actually ancient Sheikah script, which the Fierce Deity taught the Sheikah. And before losing or giving up his immortality, he tasked the Sheikah with taking his place, which is who delivered the spirits to the Bargainer Statues before Link.

This is part of the reason why the Sheikah are so heavily associated with death & graveyards.

As for who the Bargainers are, they are this thing called a bushin in Japanese culture, which there deities have the ability to split pieces off of themselves & create lesser copies that rule over certain areas, but are lead by the source deity. The same is said for the Goddess Statues. Basically, Hylia & Fierce gave up their immortality, but the statues are still being run by their bushin.

Stop me, I will literally talk you ear off if you don't.

.................................................... OP. My guy, my gal, my non-binary pal. Why did you drop this on my inbox? This needs to be its own proper post! This is a very fascinating take on the Bargainer and the other known deities in the Zelda world.

Ngl, I haven't thought much about the Bargainer and their role is since there's so little in their lore. Other than "guiding lost souls into the afterlife without prejudice" and exchanging materials, weapons and outfit sets in return of Poes... (Kinda like how the Goddess Statue exchanges Blessings for Hearts, Stamina and Sage's Wills).

And seeing so many Poes in the Depths in a state of purgatory, makes me think that they are akin to the Grim Reaper of sorts. On top of the Yiga notes about how those "strange statues" would rip the souls out of fellow members if they come too close to it in the Depths.

I also imagine that the name "Bargainer" is a recent title when they were (re)discovered by present-day Hyruleans. And their true name had already been lost to the looooooong passage of time. And for all we know, the "Bargainer" was the god(dess) of the long extinct Zonai people.

That's about as far as I have for the Bargainer.

As for other deities like Hylia, Demise and the Fierce Deity, I don't have much beyond what is present in the games and the popular headcanons shared within the Zelda fandom.

I do have headcanons on how each race and clans interpret these deities and their own faith systems. For example, the Sheikah view Hylia as a "two faced" deity with "light and shadow" themes in their faith. Which is in contrast to their Hylian counterparts who have more clear-cut views on Hylia as the benevolent protector-goddess of their people (And why the Horned Statue exists and is shunned and hidden away).

(Though this is all part of my BotW-TotK Family and Legacy story.)

TL;DR I don't have a lot of ideas / headcanons on who or what these deities are. BUT I do have headcanons on how they are interpreted by different peoples/races.

But seriously though OP, if you're reading this, you need to create dedicated posts and elaborate more on these headcanon ideas. They have POTENTIAL to become some very delicious reads.

summary: tompa takes on the task of teaching the older sully boy how to ride an ilu, but the night doesn’t quite end how they expect.

The kids watch Tompa as she jumps into the water with a squeal. Tsireya, Rotxo, and Aonung jump in behind her. Neteyam and Lo’ak look at one another, then run in time with each other. They make a big splash and their sisters follow in behind them with excited screams. Tompa watches the four explore the ocean with wonder in their eyes. Tompa uses her hands to guide a creature in their direction and they watch in awe as it allows her to change its course. Lo’ak reaches for it, but it quickly turns away from him. Both boys suddenly go a little wide-eyed, then swim up to the surface as fast as they can. They peek their heads back under the water and Lo’ak shrugs a little when he notices the staring.

Tsireya signs ‘swim together with us’ to the boys and they shrug again. Tompa makes a ‘come here’ motion with her arm and dives deeper, making her way next to Tsireya. The boys go back up for a breath and begin following. They follow the group for less than a minute before the slight panic flashes on their faces again. They point up, frantically swimming to the top to gasp for air. Tompa abandons her usual swimming group and resurfaces with the newcomers. They pant at the surface and she looks at them both, observing their reactions as the other Metkayina surface behind her.

“Are you alright?” she asks.

“You’re too fast! Wait for us,” Tuk whines.

“Just breathe. Breathe,” Tsireya says, trying to reassure the three Sully children.

“You are not good divers,” Aonung says, “Maybe good at swinging through trees, but--” Tsireya pushes her brother’s head so he stops speaking.

“Come on bro,” Lo’ak says, sounding very tired already.

“We don’t speak this finger talk, guys. We don’t know what you’re saying,” Neteyam says, making a gesture with his hands.

“We will teach you guys,” Tompa says, looking at Tsireya who nods in agreement. Rotxo begins to ask for Kiri, causing the group to look around for the girl. “She couldn’t have gotten very far.”

“We should find Kiri,” Rotxo insists.

“Kiri’s fine,” Lo’ak says, “She’s off being… Kiri.”

The next few weeks go about the same. The group of Metkayina teens try to teach the group something, Kiri is usually gone “being Kiri” (as Lo’ak puts it), but the others are always there ready to learn.

Tompa takes the day off, but hears her name being called out by Aonung regardless. She lets out a groan, head flopping to the side. Her slumber fades away the more her name is called out. She stands, stretching and making her way outside. She jumps into the ocean, the chill water waking her immediately. Her body glides through the water and she stops when she meets with the group.

“Need my help already?” she taunts, smiling evilly at the boy.

Aonung rolls his eyes, sighing in defeat, “Yes. Yes we do. I need you to help teach these skxawng--”

“You can leave now, Aonung,” she says, splashing water in his direction. The two ilu swim up to her, bumping her gently and she giggles. She greets them with pats on the head as they both try to fight for Tompa’s attention. She shoos them, telling them to approach the Sully boys. Tsireya swims to Lo’ak’s side, which tells Tompa to help Neteyam. She gestures to the ilu, “Show me what you got, Sully.”

She grabs the ilu’s kuru as Neteyam climbs onto the animal. He looks at her with a nervous expression, “This has not been going well for Lo’ak and I.”

She can’t help but giggle at the boy. “Just breathe, Neteyam. Gently make the bond when you are ready.”

He nods and takes a deep breath, pulling his braid to the front of his body. The pink tendrils meet with those of the ilu, and Neteyam gasps gently. His eyes blow out wide and Tompa reminds him to feel the shared breaths with the ilu, the strength of the creature. He seems to calm down a little more with every word, less tense than when he first got on top of the creature. She guides his hand to hold on and he looks at her through lidded eyes. Tompa quickly looks away from him, pulling her hand to herself.

“Hold on and go when you’re ready,” she says. Before she can think of anything else to add, the ilu takes off with Neteyam holding on. It starts off rough, Neteyam barely able to hold on with the speed. Then the ride smooths out and Neteyam visibly calms down. He and the ilu glide smoothly through the water and she smiles proudly at how easy it was to teach the boy after Aonung couldn’t do it.

Tompa calls out for an ilu, a familiar female sliding up to her side. She makes the bond and grabs on, the ilu takes off after Neteyam quickly. She stays next to him, watching as Neteyam explores the ocean on the ilu’s back.. The two glide as if they are flying through air, the feel of the cool water rushing around them both. They ride together for what feels like forever, until he has to go back up for a breath.

“Woah,” he says, looking around as he breathes in deeply.

She smiles at the boy proudly, “You did so well, Neteyam.”

“I guess I just had an amazing teacher,” he says.

She rolls her eyes at him, “Well I had a determined student. And you held your breath much longer than before!”

“Yeah. I don’t know what it was,” he says, “I just felt so calm down there.”

“That’s exactly it,” she explains, “You must be calm, allow the water to be your guide.”

The rest of the day is spent helping him master riding the ilu and learning how to breathe more effectively. The darkness of night takes over the landscape the longer the two stay out, but they don’t seem to notice through the distraction of the other’s company.

One of Tompa’s hands is resting on Neteyam’s heart, the other his stomach. She guides him through his breathing technique, helping him slow his heart down. The cave is quiet, save for his deep inhales and exhales and the girl’s quiet praise.

“Neteyam! Srewtompa!”

The both of them whip their heads in the direction of the village at the first shout. It is only then that Neteyam notices the lack of light outside. Tompa’s hands fall from his body as she looks at the boy, panic now written on his face.

“Shit,” he says, “I have to get home.”

“Oh, Neteyam, I’m so sorry. I wasn’t even paying attention,” she says. She calls for an ilu as they make their way to the shore. He shakes his head, making a ‘no’ gesture with his hands.

“Don’t be sorry, it’s my fault,” he says, “I should have paid more attention.”

“Here, get on,” she says, gesturing to the ilu in front of them. He looks puzzled, glancing at the ilu and then back to Tompa.

“But where is yours?”

“I will ride with you,” she says, “You’ve been doing well all day and--”

“No, no, no,” he says, shaking his head, “If I mess up and hurt you--”

“You won’t hurt me,” she assures. His mouth opens to refute, but the volume of their names gets louder. She looks him in the eyes and points at the animal, “On. Now.”

He sighs, getting on and allowing Tompa to follow suit. Her hands gently land on his waist and he makes the bond. He holds on with one hand, the other landing on the back of Tompa’s thigh to ensure she doesn’t fall. The ilu zips through the water and the girl admires the life around them as they make their way back to the village.

Jake, Tonowari, and Ronal stand on the beach as the two approach. They hop off of their ilu and make their way closer to the adults, all having a look of anger on their faces.

“Srewtompa, get to your marui now,” Tonowari says sternly.

She furrows her brows, “Have I done something wrong?”

“Just get home,” he says. Tompa’s head falls with shame. She turns to Neteyam and says a quiet goodbye before making her way back to her home. Tonowari begins walking away, but Ronal lingers for a second to send Neteyam daggers with her gaze. He can’t fight off the guilt that begins to brew in his chest for getting Tompa in trouble, and he says a silent prayer to Eywa that nothing happens to her.

“Your mother and I told you not to stay out late, Neteyam. Your mother is at home worried sick,” Jake says.

“I’m sorry dad,” Neteyam says. His gaze falls to the floor and his ears flatten sadly, tail falling limp instead of its usual sway.

“And with a girl?” Jake adds. Neteyam’s head shoots back up, eyes wide at the implication.

“All day? Wow! That’s impressive, son,” Jake says. He doesn’t even attempt to contain his own amusement, and Neteyam’s face scrunches in mortification.

Explain the shift: Alice in Wonderland.

ME, POSTING ON A SATURDAY? Well, yes, it's too cold to go out.

So this method was popular some years ago on TikTok, and everyone was talking about it.

SO HOW DO I DO IT?

This method has to be done after you meditate a little; it works best when you are calm and relaxed (like every other method).

We start with the basics:

Lay down in bed, relax your body, close your eyes, and start to visualize. (There is a lot to visualize in this method.)

You have to visualize yourself under a tree in great detail, feel it, and feel the atmosphere change around you.

Once you are under that tree, you will see a person of your DR near your tree, and just like the white rabbit, they will get your attention, and you will follow them.

You know how the story goes: the white rabbit (aka your dream person) jumps into a hole in the ground as Alice (aka you) follows him.

As you fall into the hole, you will see some objects from your dream reality, and you will hear some sounds too.

Once you are out of the door, you will see a locked door and key. Your white rabbit will ask you if you are ready. You have to answer yes. After this, you can affirm, but it is not mandatory.

Once you say yes, the white rabbit will open the door. Once you see through the door, you will see more people from your doctor ready to welcome you. You can have a chat with them and embrace the feeling. Once you have had these brief interactions, your white rabbit takes you to another room, which is the bedroom of your doctor. Lay down on your bed in the same way you laid down on your bed in the CR.

MY THOUGHT:

as much as I love Alice in Wonderland. This method is hard, has many steps, can get confusing, and is hard to visualize if you have difficulties doing so. I think this method is one I will describe as an advantage one for those who have already shifted or have been practicing for a long time. So don't be hard on yourself if you can't do this method or any other method; some of these are simply harder than others.

what kind of accents do you think the cast has? im a dub main for various reasons (one of my friends had a reading/memory disability so i ended up watching dub w them) so im kinda used to everyones dub accents.

but bards defo got an american accent right? (not in the dub, but im thinking manga terms?)

and ik soma & agni have barely a trace of an accent but does that mean they sound basically british?

(Sorry it’s been a rough couple days and I didn’t realize I hadn’t published this yet.)

Hey anon… so I’m a bit confused as to if you’re asking about the Japanese accents in the various anime, the English dub accents (or some other dub), or just my thoughts on what their various accents would be like based on the manga and independent of the anime.

Now I have only watched Kuro in English bc that’s the only thing that was available/that’s available on what I have at the moment (though I’m finally getting the blu rays for BoM and BoA so I’m hoping they’ll have the Japanese to try that out for once), so I can’t make judgements based on that. (And I’m not a good one to ask about Japanese accents anyway, lol.)

I also favor dubs bc of my disability. I love hearing the Japanese but it can be hard for me to follow sometimes, and even english alone without captions I can struggle with (please fix this, CR!!! Grr), so I feel you there.

Also not sure which characters you had in mind with this ask (other than the ones you specifically mentioned). Since kuro has so many, I guess I’ll just focus on a few. I want to make clear I am American and Latine, so I am not an expert on British regional accents by any stretch, or the historical accents of the Victorian period, so I’ll just do my best. Some may be partly inspired by how the characters are written in Japanese, since there’s a bit more… complexity to the Japanese language in regards to things like formality, rudeness, etc, that may not convert into English when translated in writing.

This is a long post so I’ll use a readmore to keep it a bit less chaotic. Below the break I’ve broken down my hypotheses on how some of the major players might talk:

Sebastian

As a high-ranking servant who regularly interacts with the nobility, Sebastian would have a high-class accent, and it is reflected in how his Japanese (and even his English) is written. It is a fairly neutral, polite manner of speaking. I’m sure the Victorians probably had a term for this accent (a high-class servant accent), but if they did, I don’t know it lol.

Ciel

Most nobles like him would be educated in a public school like Weston, like his father was, and those schools taught a standard accent that often varied slightly from school to school. So everyone who went to Weston would have a similar manner of speech. Ciel has been “home schooled” his entire life, aside from a short time at Weston for the investigation, so his accent might have been slightly different than his father’s. Nevertheless, especially under Sebastian’s tutelage, he would have learned how to speak properly (if he didn’t already). Still, unless Sebastian intentionally had him learn the Weston/public school accent, anyone who speaks to him would know he did not go to school, but was taught by tutors/governesses instead.

Bard

Yes, Bard is American despite his dub accent. We don’t know where he’s from exactly, but we can assume it was probably somewhere west of the Mississippi (that’s about 1/3 of the way west if you’re looking at the US map, going east to West, if you’re not familiar with our Geography).

I say that bc the river was the first real demarcation of the frontier. It’s likely he was living somewhere like Texas or Oklahoma. Ofc where he’s from would affect his accent, but I imagine it as a kind of cross between a more neutral southern midwestern accent (“no accent”) and a subtle Texas or OK one. Which that’s hard to explain unless you really know regional US accents, bc most of Texas doesn’t sound like most people think it does. The accents really change depending on what part of the state you’re in, since it’s such a big place. But basically not too heavy an accent but a bit lazy, definitely coarse and brutish since he was a soldier and a farmer. Lots of slang and not big on politeness. (Which he definitely is in Japanese.)

Mey Rin

She’s interesting because she’s one of the few characters who has a couple different ways of speaking. She has her “maid” voice and her “assassin” voice. The first one stutters a lot and uses imperfect grammar, as reflected in the English translation when she repeats things, like “I’m not one to talk badly about my betters, I am.” The second does not have this quirk. Not sure if the first is meant as an affectation as part of her idea of what a maid is, or if she just has such a divide he her personality/personas that she speaks differently when she’s wielding a gun. Since that wasn’t really mentioned in her subarc, I doubt we’ll get an explanation. We do know she was likely a child of immigrants from China, but not whether she was born there or in England before she was orphaned. But it is unlikely she has any hint of a Chinese accent since she was orphaned so young. She definitely has more of a working class accent, especially when compared to someone like Sebastian.

Finny

I had momentarily forgotten that Finny didn’t speak English when he first came to the manor. It’s likely that he would have had some kind of German accent, but I expect that Sebastian would have drilled it out of him, considering how strict he was with Sieglinde and Wolf, and Ciel didn’t blink an eye.

Finny’s accent in English never struck me as particularly high class, either in the manga or anime, but in one of the recent chapters, Theo makes a point to compliment his “upper-class accent.” It does seem highly probable that Sebastian played a hand in how he speaks, since he probably was the one who taught him English.

However, the fact that it came up in this sub arc could indicate his way of speaking is significant, somehow tying into what’s going on with Undertaker and the orphanage. Either way, his accent is apparently closer to Ciel than Mey.

Snake

Snake is tricky, because he almost never speaks as himself (I’m still not 100% sure what pronoun he would use for himself in Japanese, and even he doesn’t seem sure lol). He speaks via his snakes, and they all have different ways of speaking (which I think the dub does a decent job of, personally). So I can’t really say, but for the most part I would probably say his accent(s) would be closer to working-class, but he might have gotten some lessons on speaking from Sebastian, since, as a footman, he would have been expected to speak at a higher-class level than other, below-stairs servants would.

Undertaker

Like Mey, UT has two manners of speaking. He has his “humble old undertaker” accent, which is Cockney-esque (I don’t wanna do a disservice by saying it IS that), definitely a lower class accent. Then he has his “revealed” voice, or how he speaks after he reveals himself on the Campania. I have not read this arc in Japanese so I cannot base this judgement on how this shift is portrayed by Yana, only based on the translation. But it definitely seems to be a higher-class accent than the other one. It’s likely that it’s his “real” accent, while the other is part of his cover persona. However, we don’t know anything about him or his background from when he was alive, or even how old he is. For all we know, that accent could be an affectation too.

Agni & Soma

I know their dub accents annoy a lot of people, since Yana specifically mentions how they don’t have an Indian accent. I expect both of them would speak with a British accent, probably something close to how Ciel speaks, most likely, since Soma would have been educated by tutors and Agni probably was as well, since he came from a very high-caste family. I would expect that if their dub accents has been closer to Yana’s intent, they would sound more like Hakim in the dub of the anime Emma. That’s how I imagine them, anyway.

Sieglinde & Wolfram

I expect both would have German accents when they speak English, especially Wolf. Sieglinde might do a better job of working to improve and lose it, but I don’t think Wolf would, partly because of his animosity toward Sebastian. I like to imagine he sounds like Hans in the English dub of the anime Emma, and I really hope we eventually get the Green Witch Arc animated and dubbed so we can get a hot German English accent 🥺.

Diedrich

Dee, on the other hand, I think would not have a German accent in English, especially not in the present. I think he probably was educated in English before he went to Weston, likely by a private tutor, probably someone British, and then when he went there would have acclimated to the public school assent there. So probably he would sound like Vincent did, but I expect he’d throw in some German every now and then, especially when he gets irritated, lol.

Lau

Lau is originally from China, and his accent (as far as I know?) has never been remarked upon in the manga. We also know nothing about his background except that he rose quickly and at a young age to be head of Quin-Bang. I would assume that he speaks English very well, and the only hint at his origin that I’m aware of in the Japanese is the kanji (character) for the pronoun “I” he uses, though he doesn’t pronounce it as it’s normally done in Japanese nor does he with a Chinese pronunciation. I would take this to mean he probably has little if any hint of a Chinese accent when he speaks English, and since he keeps company with nobles and was able to pass as a doctor, he likely speaks in a high-class accent.

EX!Alice: I'm n-not sure. I feel my former memories are... getting fuzzy. It aches a lot, too...

OMT!Tails: Gosh...

Mr. Needlemouse: Eh, you're gonna be fine, kid. Hopefully.

Mini Sonic: Isn't she, like... in her 30s as who she was before being stuck in there?

Mr. NM: Oops! My bad, hehe.

OMT!Tails: She looked like she sustained some really nasty injuries during that confrontation, alongside numerous burn marks from what happened to her mech. And to think Surge only went that far in the belief that she was just like us...

Mr. NM: Sounds nasty. Well, other than that, that was a breeze!

Rosie came down.

OMT!Rosie Woodchuck: Come on, dear. Let's go get you cleaned and patched up. I feel you really need it.

EX!Alice: T-Thanks, Miss Woodchuck.

They headed upstairs.

OMT!Tails: So, I think I know why your attacks didn't outright kill Surge. While your toon energy carried over to this world, despite it not inheriting those same physics, it seems to have put a limit on them so that it doesn't kill anybody.

Mr. NM: Aw, what?! No wonder she's still kickin' back there! Oh, well.

OMT!Tails: Yeah. Seems your attacks caused more humiliation to her than actual damage.

Mr. NM: Right. Hey, I haven't eaten in a few days, and uh... I think ya promised me a chilli dog for savin' Alice?

OMT!Tails: Yeah. Here you go, NM!

He passed Mr. NM a chilli dog.

Mr. NM: Aw, heck yeah! (CHOMP!)

OMT!Tails: By the way, where did Sonic go?

Mini Sonic: The bigger one? He went out to a restaurant last I checked, and Mina must've followed him.

OMT!Tails: I'm gonna go track them down, and then I'll be right back!

Mr. NM: Okey-doke!

He headed out to the bar at Night Babylon where the two were.

CR!Sonic: So, straight to the kitchen after we've had a bite, right?

OMT!Mina: Mhm.

As they headed there (complete with fitting attire for the place), CR!Sonic caught sight of OMT!Sally.

CR!Sonic: Sally...?

OMT!Mina: Hey, pay attention. It's not the same Sally, Sonic.

CR!Sonic: I-I'm sorry, I'll be right back-.

OMT!Mina: No! Sonic! Come here. Trust me, I've been there. You gotta move on, buddy.

He accidentally bumped into her as she was walking by.

5. What are your fanfic pet peeves? Do they have a huge effect on whether or not you decide to read something?

Ok so what you need to know is that I am a picky son of a bitch and I will stop reading a fic for a myriad of different reasons - bad grammar, no paragraph breaks, improper comma usage, etc. Now, if the fic itself is really good I'll let some of those slide, but the two that will put me off any fic no matter what are no paragraph breaks and bad characterisation. I rarely read more than a sentence or two if there's no paragraph breaks, I just back out immediately.

20. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?

I love it when the writing just works. I love it when I'm several thousand words into a oneshot or a chapter and I get to a bit where everything clicks and the words starts flowing so, so easily. Where I have the character voice exactly in my head, where the rhythm of the words is correct, where the beat and the pacing and everything just slots into place, all cogs and gears, and I can feel the words unspooling from me, dropping into place and weaving themselves together like lace. That's the best bit, always.

31. Of the characters you write for, which is your favorite? Has that choice been swayed at all by your followers/readers’ reactions to certain ones?

Oh tough question! I was talking with a friend just the other day about how I tend to find one character in each fandom to latch onto, and then I write everything from their perspective. I've not written a lot of character POVs (Molly and Caleb from CR, Zan and Thag from Hades, Jon from TMA, Ed from OFMD, and Paddy from RH), but I think my favourites are probably Jon and Paddy. I don't think it's been swayed much by readers' reactions, truth be told. I know who I want to write and who I can best write, and I think it shows in my writing.

I've known Diabolik Lovers since June from 2015, and boy was that an extremely interesting time—

2. Who's your fictional boyfriend/husband?

Reiji "The Arsonist" Sakamaki has been my favourite Diaboys since day one and at this point I have no intention on apologizing about it. Followed by Ruki and Ritcher but we're only touching Reiji here—

3. Why do you like them?

Ok the first reason are the daddy issues—

I'M KIDDING I'M KIDDING. Honestly, I loved his design first, and fell for the rest second.

I knew since I was a kiddo that I was a SUCKER for evil dudes in purple/"Disney villain" colours, a simp for deep voices, AND a SUCKER for people in glasses. So when I heard Reiji's voice and saw him my world turned into whatever tf I am now and I have not known peace since then.

Now, let's go more in deep.

I saw Reiji, and I knew he was a gentleman. I knew he was the type that would kiss your knuckles as a "I love you" gesture. I saw him thanks to lots of translations in YouTube and Tumblr just how devoted and in love he is in the MC/Yui. I just loved how he eventually showed himself out of his shell (even if back then I also recognised some damn red flags and I felt conflicted), how bastard he can be, how smart and... Well, all that he is. It's hard for me to put into words how I feel about him as a whole, but I think this will do.

Also HE'S PETTY WHEN HE WANTS TO. I never wanted a man to be that petty until I met him. Love that he uses pans to wake everyone up.

Also HIS LAUGH PEOPLE. I LOVE Both OF HIS LAUGHS THE SEXY ONE AND THE GENUINE ONE.

4. Have you make acquaintance with anyone that ships themselves with the same character?

I don't think these people are truly shipping themselves with him but, again, they're interested so it counts. And there's only three that I'm aware they're Reiji stans so-

I don’t know, honestly. Just like @mino-diabolik said, I suppose it's trying to embellish my writing to make descriptions somewhat prettier and more complex (???) because I don’t like repeating words.

19. What kind of comments do you dislike the most when it comes cp feedbacks of your oc(s)?

I’ve never had any.

20. Have you receive hates about your oc(s) before?

Just one and for the Kurosawa blog when I first made it public. It was about me having too much OC's and trying to show off. But since I'm a bit coo-coo, my reaction was... The complete opposite of what I expected.

21. Do you have a complete love story of your cp?

YES I HAVE DAMMIT.

Aimic is the only one "complete" and dare I say it's one of my first experiences that I genuinely have fun with since I got here. I would be lying if I say I am not grateful for meeting the Admin and their wonderful OC.

22. Do you allow joint of alternate universe with the canon version of your cp story?

I do!, even if there isn't really a "Canon" ship in here other than casual relationships with the DL boys and other people from other universes (always wanted to see how much would they fit in Twisted Wonderland tho 👀), I usually do enjoy these ships, because these clowns I have to call my children are mine to torture—. Both blogs exists to enjoy both "canon" ships and AU ships!

23. Are you okay with people shipping their oc(s) with yours?

YES YES YES. I AM SO HAPPY WHEN THAT HAPPENS. I LOVE IT. YES.

There’s nothing that brought me more to an excitement rush with me jumping up and down than to people thinking my characters are worthy of being paired up with theirs, but still, I expect someone to ask me if it's ok beforehand bc my dumb ass might get confused in the way unless you're absolutely obvious in the way.

Please if any of yall ever did this on Anon it's ok I really like it when it happens 👀🥺.

24. Ever gone through a bad experience in the fandom?

Thank god I didn't. Just one single anon hate (the one from question 20) and it literally made me so happy bc it meant I'm doing a good job—

26. What is the moment that caused you to feel most disappointed or excited?

When I get notifications in both aspect. Because that's how deep into yall I'm in.

Notifs from popular OC blogs, non OC blogs, new OC blogs, (definitely the porn bots-), I always get so happy! To just know people like my content enough to like, or to go as far as to reblog said content? I ascend.

27. The scariest era that you have come across in the fandom?

The hate storms that were literally coming from nowhere (four since I got here), that account that if you reblogged the fanart of any Diaboy told you that they did something awful to Yui and that they hoped the same happened to us (usually r*pe), that one time the Simone blog got hacked/they tried to pass off as them, literally just anons telling other blog Admins to unalive themselves.

At this point I'm not surprised, just disappointed. Also I'm sure most of the time, these people are just hitting puberty, or just "woke" people from twitter.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but: You are not entitled to his time because you have a crush on a character he played.

You are not entitled to his time because he is “famous”.

You are not entitled to him because he seems sweet and gentle.

You are not entitled to him because sometimes he can be a little bit flirty (see above).

You are not entitled to him because he is whatever sexuality you’ve determined he is or isn’t.

You are not entitled to him because you paid money to meet him once.

You are not entitled to him because of your feelings.

I know your feelings are big, and you might never have felt like this before, and it’s the best thing you’ve ever felt - that is a wonderful thing and I don’t want that to change! Love it! Enjoy it!

But - And I say this as someone who finds him hella cute, who would be totes down to bone if he was into it, and who would probably stare and maybe wave if I saw him in the street - leave it at that. Leave him alone. Leave the people he dates alone.

Acknowledge that you are responsible for your actions, and please, please, for the love of fuck, control how you act when you have those big feelings.

Here’s what I have done in the past when I have seen someone famous: I looked at them, because I am only human. I DID NOT GET MY PHONE OUT. I said: “Holy shit, it’s Angelina Jolie/Benedict Cumberbatch/that insanely hot guy from Teen Wolf”.

AND THEN I WENT AROUND THE CORNER AND JUMPED UP AND DOWN A BIT AND SENT AN ANON POST TO DEUXMOI.

Also one time I kinda semi-followed Richard E Grant from Oxford Street to Leicester Square, but in my defence we were going the same direction and I couldn’t shake the guy. He is very tan, by the way. So tan.

ANYWAY, what I did not do is stick a camera in their faces, record them when they didn’t realise it, expect to talk to them, hound them or shout things at them.

I’m annoyed at younger me because I can’t say I didn’t break into places to meet people, because one time I gatecrashed an after party to meet Robert Smith, but in my defence the bouncer was a fucking tool, so that’s on him. Also I was super cute in those days and no one minded a super cute 20 something being at an old goths party.

ANYWAY�� if I have to hear one more stupid story about what some stupid stan has done to Joseph Quinn, I am going to come to Europe and do cr*me on you. Just be fucking cool.

Seriously.

This is not some altruistic virtue signalling, either. This is purely selfish, because you know how to make sure he never ever does conventions or meet and greets again? You know how to make sure he is never, ever open to saying hi to fans if they see him in public again? You know how he ends up maybe only doing theatre for the rest of his career? THIS. STALKING, ENTITLED BULLSHIT IS HOW.

Walking down the hall with quick and rage-filled footsteps, passing by multiple kitsune who can practically feel the rage pouring off of the white nine-tailed fox. Said fox comes to a stop at a tall, gold and pearl engraved door before knocking swiftly three times.

“My liege” The fox grunts.

“Come in” A muffled voice from the other side chimed, taking that as the signal to enter. The fox does just that.

As always, the fox takes a quick survey of the room. A red carpet made of the finest silk, bookshelves on either side of the room filled with documents and magic books, a window that almost takes up the entire wall and in the front of it, a wooden desk filled with documents.

The fox stomps over to the desk and roughly slams his hands down upon it, not caring at all that a few of said documents fell onto the floor. The one occupying the desk-a golden kitsune, sighs.

“Ambesh”

“Hital”

“I see you are not particularly happy” Hital points out rather plainly as he picks up the stray documents with his-previously unoccupied, tails to continue sorting through them.

“Hap- you think I would be happy with your decision?” Ambesh hisses. His anger caused his many tails to sweep and flick.

“Well, I can obviously see that you aren't,” Hital snarks. “Frankly, I’m surprised you haven’t killed someone yet.”

Ambesh slowly breathes in and out, trying-and almost failing to control his anger. “I did not come here for your snark Hital, just tell me why.”

“Why what?” Hital asks almost like he was oblivious to the anger of the younger kitsune-that, or he just didn’t care. “Why you, allowed those-those cretins from up there to come to out territory and take things from us!”

“Ambesh,” Hital says slowly, as if talking to an uninformed child. “We need to pay for what we did wrong, you know this”

“Wrong?” Ambesh echoes in pure disbelief. “WRONG? THEY HAVE KILLED OUR KIND, AND YOU-YOU SEEK TO SETTLE THIS BY GIVING THEM TRIBUTE!?”

“Ambes-” Ambesh’s magic flares, causing the area around him to crack into spider web like fissures.

“NO HITAL, THEY HAVE KILLED OUR PEOPLE, THIS CALLS FOR WAR YOU HEAR ME. WE ARE KITSUNE, THE TRICKSTERS. WE DO NOT ALLOW PEOPLE TO WALK ALL OVER US LIKE THIS AND YOU KNOW THAT. WE DO NOT JUST GIVE OUT THINGS TO PLACATE THOSE CRETINS JUST BECAUSE THEY FOLLOW SOME STUPID GREEN MAN WHO SITS ON A THRONE ALL DAY. WE HAVE TO AVENGE OUR FALLEN!”

Ambesh slowly huffs, trying to regain his breath after his outburst. Hital, meanwhile, slowly spreads out his own magic to fix the damage and sighs.

“Are you done with your little temper tantrum?” Hital asks, picking up a scroll that survived and leisurely going through it.

Ambesh freezes, shock running through his body. “Good, I see you are done,” Hital pauses, choosing another scroll that has the least amount of damage before continuing. “Let me tell you Ambesh, I made that decision to avoid casualties. As king I have to think about these things, we do not have the forces to go to war with heaven right now-if ever actually. So, it would be best to not cause further discord between us.”

“But-”

“No, Ambesh. Listen to me, we.do not.have.the forces. If we go to war, the Kitsune would be either wiped out, or severely wounded. I am not risking either of those. As your king, and your older brother. I am telling you to stand.Down.”

Ambesh grits his teeth as he hissed out. “You are no king to me.”

“A pity then. No matter what you say, I will not allow my citizens to go to war for your wounded ego.”

“Woun- wounded ego? WOUNDED EGO!? IS THAT WHAT YOU THINK THIS IS?”

“Is it not?”

“NO. MY PEOPLE HAVE DIED AND I HAVE A RIGHT TO BE UPSET ABOUT THAT, THIS IS NOT A MATTER OF WOUNDED EGO HITAL!”

“Calm yourself Am-”

“NO, BECAUSE APPARENTLY ME BEING MAD THAT MY PEOPLE HAVE DIED IS JUST ‘WOUNDED EGO’ AS YOU PUT IT. MY ‘WOUNDED EGO’ IS KNOWING MY PEOPLE WERE KILLED, MY ‘WOUNDED EGO’ IS KNOWING THE PEOPLE THAT WERE KILLED. MY ‘WOUNDED EGO’ IS KNOWING THAT MY APPRENTICE WHO HAS NOT EVEN COME OF AGE WAS KILLED BY SOME CRETIN THAT LICKS THE GREEN MAN’S BOOT.”

Ambesh huffs and puffs as he struggles to find more words to express himself, tears slowly begin making their way down from the fox’s face to the wooden desk, staining the few documents trapped under his hands and making them even more unsalvageable than they were before.

Hital pauses. Briefly going over the Kitsune’s population, their strength, and heaven. He then considers Ambesh’s anger and grief, weighing over being a king and an older brother.

Hital’s eyes harden as he again grows through another document with a tighter grip than before. “We are not going to war Ambesh, and that is final.”

Ambesh lets out a breath, reeling back in his stray magic as he looks down at his king.

Ambesh turns around, a hand coming up to his face to wipe his tears away. “Well then, if you won't avenge them, I will.” Ambesh states calmly as he begins walking towards the door.

“If you leave this room with those intentions, you will not be welcomed here anymore.”

Ambesh pauses, his mind replaying the scene of his apprentice’s body laying on the ground with a spear through his chest. “Then I guess this is the last time I’ll see you, brother.”

Ambesh walks out the door.

Hital, for the first time since the younger fox walked into the room, looked up “Ambesh wai-” The door slammed shut.

Hital looks at the door, as his mind replayed the entire encounter. Hital crumples down onto the desk, his hands holding his head as he looks at the damaged desk and documents. Wondering for the first time if he made the right decision.

okay real serious talk from your internet big sister: i really need y’all to be prepared for conservatives to retake a lot of societal ground in the next few years. there are so many younger people, especially young queer people, who don’t remember the bush era, don’t remember the 2000’s, who only see society as it is now where left/liberal ideologies really dominate the general social fabric and are going to have a really rough time when conservatives start controlling a lot of the social dialogue. a lot of what we’ve been used to being able to avoid because the really blatant conservative messaging has mostly kept to itself might be about to become mainstream. their beliefs are going to start to show up the TV you watch, the advertising you see, the music you listen to. it’s going to feel like losing ground, losing time, being pushed out of spaces where you were welcomed and acknowledged.

this isn’t to scare you, honestly. we lived through it not so long ago and still pushed through and got here, we’ll do it again. it’s just to make you aware and let you know that if you do start seeing those kinds of messages or start seeing the representation that you love go away, it’s going to be okay. people haven’t suddenly regressed around you - the assholes just got louder. you’re still loved and welcomed and you can still find places to have a home, they just might be a little harder to find for a while. but people will always work to push things forward again, and even if we lose now we will get back one day ❤️

i am here to tell you that it is okay for there to be good things in your life right now. to celebrate the little, local, personal wins. it is okay for today to be a good day for you, even when there is so much bad in the world. actually, if you’ll permit me to tell you a secret: it is absolutely imperative when the world at large is this bad that you enjoy the moments that are good. sing because you are in love, for the first time or for the first time in a long time. celebrate a good grade, good work feedback, a successful dessert finally achieved. sleep in a bit of sun and enjoy feeling safe and warm and comfortable. it doesn’t mean you don’t care. it doesn’t make you callous or cold. you know bad things are happening but you also need, desperately, to know that not all things are bad. find it when you can, and enjoy it without guilt, and if you need permission then here it is, freely given

JK's live 4 March 2023 1:47 am KST

Part 1

Cr./ to all the creators of the media used in this post.

This is a hard one for me.

It' took me time to sit myself down and watch the actual whole live, and I preferred to wait for the Weverse full translation before coming here to write my post.

I assume most of you read my post about JK's previous live, but to those of you who haven't:

JK coming back live more or less 24 hours after I posted that, still while discussing my thoughts I put down to paper in that post, that hit hard for me.

I know, as usual there were those wearing rose tinted glasses unwilling to see JK, not for real. Not in the last live and not now either.

I am glad many are taking to heart his honest words about being harassed by so called fans (he was so respectful even though these people deserve no respect what so ever, but that's JK for you in a nutshell), asking, pleading to be able to have the privacy he deserves.

And I saw many enjoyed the live, his singing, his dancing, Tae popping in, and it's alright. It's also alright if you can't see that not all is well. Even though it's screaming in our faces. Because even if you don't see it, just being there, showering him with positive love like many of you do is good enough. It's kind of the most that us fans can do in any case.

That and reporting, blocking accounts and people that are out to harass and hurt him and JM. Not share their disgusting crap. It's not about likes for our accounts, it's about trying to protect those two, make their lives a little easier, a little safer, allowing them a sense of security.

While writing these lines I came by the new postings from that deranged, supposedly not sasaeng that uploaded the clip of JK from the gym. Please do not follow this person. And if you come by her postings, please report them. Send to BH. I, for obvious reasons, will not share her vile posts, but she has to be gone, like yesterday.

Moving on. I guess I'm here to talk about this over 2 hours and 20 minutes live right?

I’m not going to get into every single little thing that happened but I do want to touch on a few things.

First of all, the playlist. JK was singing his heart out during this live. Like the first hour or so is mainly JK singing and dancing and going to get himself some water, and then some beer, and dancing some more and singing some more.

JK on a beer run.

He does some of that in the second half of the live too, but in that second half is where the interesting talk happens. His plea for privacy, Tae showing up and JK talking to him, at him, not sure which. Did I mention he inserted Tae's name into song lyrics too? Lol.

The way he loves Army, I just cannot describe it. We know he does, cause, and I’ve mentioned this before, he says it, writes it in letters to Army, writes songs for Army, cries for and with Army, and he does things for Army, to make them happy.

So, he sang Naatu Naatu and Indian Army were overjoyed. He just wants to please us. Make us happy.

I kind of think we should be doing the same. As Army. Sending him our love. Showing him just how much we respect him. See him for the person he is, the human being he is, and love him for it. I know there is no IG now, but there is Weverse. And even for the smallest possibility that JK might see our messages, we need to keep sending them to him. You know #to_Jungkook.

Oh, and call out those that don’t respect him too.

Sidetracked.

That’s kind of my second name now days…

Ooh, and we got 10,000 hours again. You know, right?

That man is the cutest thing ever (well it’s a super close competition with his bf, but at the moment JK’s in the lead). Oh, we also had JK farting, bless his heart (I feel like a mama with that joyous feeling after your baby burps and passed gas, lmao). The way he waves his hand to get rid of the smell though. And him excusing it with: a. he’s human (yes, he told us we fart too in Busan, we remember that); and b. it’s not his fault, it’s the gassy drink.

Did I mention he was cute? I mentioned he was cute, right? Lol

He kept doing these close ups to the camera, used the light from the live screen to check out where to put the batteries for his mic, lol. Showing us his beer, showing us the candle, showing us himself.

We got JK and his ASMR candle (on and off during the live).

JK listened to Hobi’s song for the first time during this live. Twice. Going back to see the lyrics too.

Have we noticed by now that JK’s coat, JK’s stuff, seem to be laying on the sofa. Like he just came in or is just going out or just doesn’t seem to give the ora of permanency?

This is a man that we know to be tidy. I mean:

We know which suitcase was JK’s. He literally showed us.

And he does have empty, lonely clothes rack just there, you know, waiting for his homey stuff to be hung up… unless, wait, this isn’t much of a home of his…

JK was talking with Army, checking comments, replying to them. But he wasn’t playing the game, so to speak. You know, the one where he seems to be available for them. Do you know what I mean?

The three second or minute “we’re dating game”, he wasn’t up to it.

Someone asking to eat his cheeks (ewww, cringe), he wasn’t having it.

As I mentioned, and you all know by now, cause you know, no way the cult wouldn’t shut up about it, Tae commented during JK’s live.

JK’s reaction to Tae joining was nice. Not overjoyed. Not over interactive with him. I mean, he did answer his questions, but was also that’s that. He continued looking for songs to sing, then inserted Tae in the song he sang, went to see if Tae was still there, and he wasn’t, so his reaction was kind of “oh ok, he’s gone”, and moving on.

The comments above aren’t exactly in the order they were on the live…

Then he vocalizes - sings: How fun, Tae Tae’s here…

JK’s asked to sing Lemon, and he’s going through the process of looking for the song, and just before the song starts this happens...

Tae comments about the beer drinking and gaining weight. Yeah sure Tae, just the thing to say to the same person that was too skinny just a couple of weeks back and that his bf was overjoyed he was eating.

But you see, JK doesn’t seem bothered by Tae’s comments, lol.

His answer is to the likes of “well, I have to finish off the beer in the house, don’t I?” – iron logic indeed, lol.

So he stops it a second to answer.

And once again he’s about to start when:

So, Tae goes on with “let’s have 50 bottles”. This wasn’t him suggesting that JK drink 50 bottles. Him saying there being 50 bottles (as in JK has to drink 50 bottles to get through them), to which JK answers that there aren’t even 10 can’s left.

I wonder if the cult paid attention to that chit chat. Wouldn’t the bf they claim is living with him in that apartment kind of know how many beers are left in the fridge? Ok then, not exact number, but seriously, there is a huge difference between 10 and 50, even for means of exaggeration. Or if they are bottled or canned? That is a bit of a difference in the fridge, which he supposedly shares, no?

Just one more of those little tiny winey things that disprove their shit. Which they are full of.

And then JK proceeds to sing the song.

In which, at some point he inserts Taehyungie into his lyrics while looking at the monitor, checking the comments and says:

And continues to sing.

Anyways, once again one of those mate interactions they are so good at. That’s them. Good mates. They are. They spend time together, talk to each other, play games together, we’ve said it all before.

But one thing they definitely are not, and that’s a loving romantic couple.

Period.

hey let’s play a fun game: you dare me to go to sleep and i do it in under five minutes

That was from an old old old draft but I think it’s relevant. Also what was I so tired for in May of my senior year? The show was done, no marching band.. maybe it was those four APs I took? I think AP tests happen around the first week of May?

UMM. Paradise Killer?? The premise of that game is actually insane. Like, insane in a way that I can’t even consider how someone would come up with it. I do kinda wanna play it now though. And by “play it” I of course mean “watch a lets-play” naturally.

A fairly famous comedian came to campus for a show a few days ago and he was not funny lol (and based on what I knew about him, I (and my parents) figured it was going to go that way). Like, the warmup acts had me in tears with laughter, and I sat through his whole set waiting for him to actually, you know, not rattle off jokes I’ve heard before??? Half of the jokes were unoriginal lines I’ve seen online elsewhere, and none of them made me laugh so hard my sides hurt. I smiled, I chuckled, I left feeling disappointed. I’ve gotten better comedy from college students, from middle school honors students who didn’t want to do classwork. They were all like, two sentence buildup followed by a punchline and then a non-sequitur to another joke with the same structure on a totally different topic. Good comedy has a flow to it, it’s in conversation with itself... This guy just stood there awkwardly at points and openly admitted that he was thinking of what to say next. Granted, I am not a comedian. Comedy was always difficult for me to really grasp in theatre, I couldn’t do it. But this man gets paid to be funny. So.

Speaking of non-sequiturs, I saw a tiktok about how some girl was reading her journal from senior year and she was so filled with despair during college app season that she expressed that the process needed to be outlawed and you know what?? I’m with her on that one. Barring the end of 2020/beginning of 2021 which was a nationally traumatic event compounded on top of some personal stuff, the college app season was probably the lowest I’ve ever been from a mental health standpoint over an extended period of time. I’m talking months of bleakness. Something has to change, but I sure don’t know what.

Nowadays I’m not feeling that same kind of despair, I’m just tired.

I did receive another soft rejection today (they weren’t taking another student) which I much prefer to paying an application fee and working on a personal statement and then receiving a rejection that I could not have done anything better to change. Also I wasn’t very heavily invested in the guy anyway, so I’m guuci. The other dude I could be interested in at that department looks too close to death tbh.

Also it’s actually really hard to try to “fill up” my schedule with classes in case I can’t TA. Like I’ll need two more “real classes” when I register in two weeks but I simply do not have the desire to ~think~. Maybe I’ll see if I can take a real bioanth class through the consortium. But then I’ll still need another option. Obviously I’m hoping my Master Plan works out, but I want a solid backup plan just in case, you know?

Last thing, I’m currently in the middle of CR C3E36 and I think it could be the best Critical Role episode I’ve seen yet out of all the campaigns. I’ve been so smiley, so giggly, so positively joyful this whole episode, I just feel fantastic. I’m having literally so much fun with this. And I mean, there have, of course, been great episodes in the past, but this is sort of like a major crossover event, like Avengers: Infinity War, just an overwhelming feeling of :D and I haven’t even finished the episode yet.

Today I’m thankful that I went to the anthropology meet and greet today!! Partly because there was food there and while I do have stuff prepared in the fridge, I also love getting free food, especially when it’s not pizza lol (not that pizza is bad, just that so many events serve pizza because it’s simple). Partly because I got to connect with some of the people in my classes and they’re really cool! Partly because I got to connect with a professor for whom I would like to TA next semester, and I should be able to get a good section for that (aka not the 8 am ones). I’m also thankful for my mom, like so so so thankful and I hate the fact that I can be so neurotic but UGH I’m just so thankful that she cares for me enough to not turn me away or shut down my feelings. I’m also thankful that my ecoanth prof and my archaeology prof canceled class tomorrow (two class day!!)! I’m thankful that my presentation in archaeology went well (I think I might’ve almost convinced my prof that I didn’t do the readings the night before (but also he’s not the type of guy to care even if I did)). Last but not least, I’m thankful to finally have finished twisting my hair. As cute as the headscarf looked, it was getting a little old. I just wish sometimes that my hair didn’t shrink up so much, but ultimately I don’t mind because a) I have hair and b) I can do a lot with it and c) it’s relatively healthy. Lots of things to be thankful for today.

I wish things were different. I wish I was different. I wish we couldn’t go back to how we were, just holed up in that little room on Wexford Street; that was the room I fell so deeply in love with you. I wish I was more concentrated and focused; enough to have stayed in RCSI. I know things would have been better for us.

I have enjoyed every second of our relationship. From the highs to the very lows. I still remember waking up and seeing that note on my door. It was perhaps the sweetest thing I’ve ever wanted someone to do for me, I probably saw it in a TV show or a movie. I loved how genuine it was, how thoughtful it was and the stickie notes just kept coming. They kept spreading, they kept appearing, from my wallet to my bags to my jackets. I had never experienced love on that scale and I wanted to be with your forever at that point.

I always thought that being there for somebody was all there was to being a relationship. I realised I was wrong. There is no fundamental line, no rule that you should follow. Love is your own type of love and no one can tell you differently. I felt distant the last six months, I didn’t feel the love I wanted or needed, I didn’t feel important or cherished, I didn’t feel wanted. I know we were both busy and settling into our new lifestyles but I felt that we should have put in more effort. I should have put in more effort.

I did a lot of soul searching and thinking after I took my CR. I found that my love language was gift giving and communication. I needed people to check in on me without me asking or talk to me without me provoking them, to want to talk to me and actually have a conversation. I think that’s why my relationship with my mom had sour over the last six months as well, she wasn’t there for me. Nobody was. I’m not blaming anyone. It is my own flaw that led me to not reaching out but I’ve always felt that once I have had to ask for something, the sincerity and the genuineness of it all, ceases to exist and I don’t reciprocate or want it as much anymore.

This flaw is one of the reasons I haven’t reached out to you. It’s been about two weeks. I’ve started telling people about us. “Unofficially broken up” that’s what I’ve dubbed us as. I’m hoping you contact me. I need you to. I need you to show me you want this relationship still cause I don’t know if you still do. I saw those playlist you created, those comments your friends made. I don’t know if you want this “new” Seth that you’ve said I’ve become. I’m still the same guy, I just started putting my happiness over yours, because your happiness wasn’t enough for to make me happy anymore. You didn’t make me happy anymore. Our energies weren’t in sync and even on your last day in Singapore, when you left me, you didn’t make me feel anything; you didn’t cry, you didn’t write me a note, you made your departure unlike how you usually do, and I cried that night, knowing that our time will soon come to an end. I felt it there.

Through all the various conversations about us, I realised what I want now.

I want someone that can push me to be my best version, not just blind encouragements but calculated pushes. I should have taken the CR. I should have put more effort into studying and I needed to be accountable to someone.

I want someone who is happy to be with me. Who’s left all my baggage at the door and just embraces me for who I am in front of them and who I am now.

I want someone who understands me. Someone who tries to love me the way I need to be loved and who continuously fights for us because to me, that shows me Iove

I’ve got about six days to my flight and you haven’t contacted me or tried to make contact. I haven’t booked any flights yet and I can’t force myself to do it.
