I read a poem called “Three Questions.” By Caitlyn Seihl. And irrespective of how spiritually heart-melting it is, I want to request the poet, “please make it four.” Make it four, and once you are done asking about rains and dogs and fear; please ask him about his anger. Ask, what does he do when he gets angry? Does he even acknowledge that he gets angry? Angry around dogs? Angry in the rain? When angry, what does he think he turns into: Sane, Men (like my father who threw food-filled-plates, my teacher who slapped with slates, my neighbour who hurled abuses, my school boyfriend who tore my notebook pages, or my after-school boyfriend who - with his muscular, rugged, vein-y hand which caught my attention the first time I saw him – held me by my chin, I didn’t know what to do, it felt like a sin) or Insane. Does he bang doors? Abandon me in stores? Throws the chairs? Or pull my hairs? Punching on the wall - Does that make him feel stronger? Dear Poet, please ask, is he afraid of his own anger? I wonder, when angry, does he remember his answers about dogs and the rain, because if not, then, my mother has told me, that the first three answers go in vain.

I can’t believe I carry all that. Seeing it written out is wild and that’s not even all of it. It’s all very organized into perfectly sized zipper bags I made. Three... three questions...three wishes...three witches...three prophecies...the trinity...three nights...the third day... or the third eye.   Why is the number three so significant and magical?   The number three is the number of harmony, wisdom and understanding. It is also the number of time – past, present, future; birth, life, death; beginning, middle, end – it is the number of the divine. Three is the first number to which the meaning “all” was given. The power of three is universal. It is human as body, soul and spirit.

  The question I was asked is, what three questions would you ask if you had a chance to talk to a being who is the most intelligent creature in the universe?   It's not important that who answers my questions or makes my wishes true. It could be a genie coming out magic lamp or the cleverest creature or human on earth. It's just a big cliché, same concept but different stories. All these questions exist because of curiosity and, Curiosity is both a Blessing and a Curse.

My first question would be “What is the purpose and meaning of time?” or in other words ...“How do you explain time?”

Second one would be “What will happen after death?” or “ Is there life after death?”  In every religion, there are many stories about the life after death, but there is no one who visits that life and returns. Many people are ruining their present and life with the dream of going to heaven.

The last question would be “Are we alone in the universe?” Alone...in all that space? Probably not...As Arthur C. Clarke said, “Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.”

今日は1枚のCDを紹介。 ThreeQuestionsというバンドのアルバム「The World」。 Vo./Key.の内藤重人さん、Gu./Cho.のコダマカズトさん、Dr.永井大輔さん、Live ArtのYANさんの4人組バンドでちゃんと聴くのはこのアルバムが初めてなのですが、まず思ったのが何て情景を思い浮かばせる音なんだろうと。 曲がりくねりながらもしっかりと続く道のようなドラム、ギターは時にそよ風、時に疾風となり吹き抜ける風、雨となり降り注ぎ流れる川となるキーボード、そして歌が空や光の模様、街並みや人々を脳内に映し出すようなサウンド(そしてジャケットやライブペインティングで彩りを添える絵)。 歌詞は、都会の片隅で不安や薄暗い気持ちに暮れながらも、それでも一筋の光、美しい世界を願い追い求める、そんなメッセージを優しく語りかけてくれる。 語りとメロディが混じり合うヴォーカルが特徴的だと思うけども聴きづらさや取っ付きづらさは全く感じさせず、何処までも優しく絡み合うピアノロックです。 個人的には特に実際に雨音から���り、だんだんと雨が上がり、雲の切れ間から差し込む陽の光を想わせるM1と、MVも作られている代表曲(？)のM5が好きですかね。 長々と書きましたがとにかく言いたいことは名盤ですよこれはっ、ということです( ´ ω ` ) 気になる方、お近くのタワレコで、または下からポチリとすればいいんじゃないかな？ という記事でした。 ThreeQuestions/The World＜タワーレコード限定＞ - TOWER RECORDS ONLINE http://tower.jp/item/4423397
