Becca Marley is an old time friend of Monica’s and Rachel’s who moved away for college. Staying in touch with Rachel, she is witness to the catastrophic wedding that leads Rachel to run away. Becca goes in search of Rachel and finds her in an old-styled coffee shop where she also reunites with Monica. From there, she meets the rest of Monica’s friend and hits it off with the gang. 

Shealene Kinsey in Brooklyn-99

Love interest: Jake Peralta

Shealene “Shea” is transferred over to the 99th precinct as requested by Captain Wunch. The squad rightfully believes Shea to be a personal spy of Wunch’s and thus faces many difficulties when she tries to get to know her new co-workers. She has to prove that she is simply just another detective ready to work (as much as one can in the precinct).

Lena Jordan-Schrute in The Office

Lena works as a sales representative at Dundler Mifflin and is, at best, an average worker when she’s transferred over to the Scranton Branch. No one would ever really have a reason to look at her twice if it weren’t for her familial ties -- she is none other than Dwight Schrute’s cousin. Valkyrie wasn’t meant to be king.

She didn’t grow up royal, didn’t grow up as a lord or a noble. She grew to be a soldier, a leader, a Valkyrie. While Thor and Loki had learned diplomacy and table manners, she learned swordfighting and analyzing the enemy.

But then her women died… Loki and Hela and Odin and Freya perishing with them… the prince to the throne had appointed her king. Valkyrie hadn’t expected it. She wasn’t born for this. Even if it was true that she was better with their people, how could Thor do this? They each had a destiny, a duty. Thor had given up on it.

(“I tried for a long time, Brunhilde,” Thor had said, packing his bags in a haste, “I’ve tried for the past two years while we were rebuilding. They want to make it official… They want to make me king. I can’t do this. I can’t. But you… you can.”)

But maybe that was the point, was it not? She wanted to serve her people and he didn’t.

Thor left in a hurry, searching after his next adventure, one that would ease his grief of losing his entire family. She was left with the burden of ruling.

Valkyrie had a lot to get used to. She had to learn the rules of legislating, she had to learn the rules to courts between her people and she had to learn how to command her soldiers without leading them. Guests must be welcomed, peace must be made, traitors must be found, people must be helped, history must be learnt, advisors must be heard. And Valkyrie? Valkyrie had to be overwhelmed.

But the truth was - she loved it. It was overwhelming, but it was a feeling Valkyrie had liked. Like the rush of adrenaline during a fight, the clashes of swords all around her, and the enemies surrounding her. It was the kind of overwhelmed that made her feel in control.

And when it got overwhelming in a bad way? She had Jane Foster.

Jane: what!? I'm strong and scary.

Jane: *summons lightning*

Jane was born with a black mark in the shape of a crow on the inside of her wrist. They told her crows represented death and bad luck; her parents were wary, fearing either her or their own untimely death. When they died in a car crash on her 16th birthday, Jane cursed the little black crow.

She met Thor and then she got an infinity stone stuck inside her body. When she left Thor she glared at the omen of bad luck and attempted to scratch it off her wrist but it refused to fly away. It was the crow's fault.

When the doctors gave her the bad news, Jane hung her head and stroked the crow, pleading with it to go away. She didn't want cancer; she didn't want to die.

But her luck changed when her ex-boyfriend gifted her the powers of Thor. She wasn't sure she was cut out for Avenging and God-li-ness, but he was persistent. And then she met Valkyrie: wild locks flowing behind her, stainless white armor, dangerous and brilliant brown eyes. Possibly the most noticeable thing about Valkyrie was the little white crow on the inside of her wrist. When their hands met the crows flapped their wings in unison, cawing at each other.

Maybe crows didn't stand for bad luck and death after all.
