As someone completely new to posting on tumblr, i really appreciate all the love i’ve gotten in this community!! Escaping from the clutches of shitty tiktok opinions was no easy task, and i’m just glad i’m able to breathe now. Jokes aside, all the radiostatic enjoyers i’ve met have been by far the nicest people in the entire fandom ^^ I just want all of them to become my friend. I did not think anyone here would care about my silly posts and opinions, but i’ve received a surprising amount of followers and reblogs from all sorts of cool people in fandoms i’m not even in! I just love seeing nerds (affectionately) going off about what they’re into, it’s just really fun to see!

Hate that you can't even mention how Honest Hearts and especially Joshua Graham being idolized and posted about uncritically by the fandom basically opened a door for racist Christian nutjobs to start feeling more accepted in the fandom when they used to be less of an issue due to NV being seen as the "queer fallout game" till Joshua became a fan favorite without hearing "let people enjoy things!!"

If I see one more person in the comment section of a Fellow Travelers TikTok calling Hawk a villain I might actually end it all

my favorite thing ever is when people judge a whole ship for something like a few of the fans do 😭 like dude i guarantee that ur ship has fans that r just as bad ☠️ mikosai fans coming at terusai fans because a few hundred people said terusai are canonically dating in the end, as if there arent also a few hundred mikosai fans using that one aiura fantasy, cropped so you cant see the fantasy bubble, to prove mikosai are canon

For the ace intimacy moment prompt: zhuiling ? 💛🩵💛🩵
Jin Ling is having a breakdown (possibly his third for the day because emotional peony is emotional) and Lan Sizhui knows that asking him what’s wrong will just make him cry even more, so instead, he holds him until he stops hyperventilating then cups his face in his hands, wipes his tears away and says, “It’s okay. Talk to me.”

I fully get the anxiety of feeling like you don’t deserve to go to a show. It comes with the whole competetive fandom stuff.
Honestly, as someone who has performed on a lot of stages with varying kinds of crowds, the most important thing isn’t if you’re the biggest fan or if you know the lyrics or some choreography or bring gifts. The thing that is the most valuable is that you go to the show to have a good time. That’s all the artists are generally looking for. That people enjoy their music, enjoy the show, are excited to be there.
Some people may be disappointed that they don’t get a ticket, sure. But it’s not you taking that ticket away from them. Not everyone can have everything. Sometime people don’t get concert tickets. That is not your fault for buying. It is a thing that happens when everyone has the right to buy concert tickets instead of them being raffeled off or gifted. If the show was just for the biggest fans, tickets would be give out as competition prices, not to the person who buys them.
And there is no right way to enjoy the show. Some superfans never learn lyrics because they don’t particularly care. Some people buy tickets to go see random artists just for the experience. Some people just love to give gifts and find that to be the best way of interacting. Your way of doing it is just as valid as all that. You don’t have to earn any right to be there, that is what the tickets are for.
And honestly, you’d be surprised by the number of people who have never even heard of an artist or band who just show up for the show because they had a day off and it could be fun. It’s not about deserving to be there. It’s about wanting to go and getting the chance to actually do that.
I don’t know if this little pep talk eases your mind at all, but I hope it does. Learning to let go of the competetive mindset and attitude when it comes to regular life stuff is a chore and a half. I just want you to know that I would love for you to go to the show.
Thank you for reaching out. I really appreciate it ❤

I just had to share this video because holy shit, it hits the nail right on the head! So well spoken. This stuff needs to be circulated more, esp with the growing number of people thinking they have this because of misinformation, or just outright faking it.
#it's painful because i knew someone who personally faked this stuff (or has convinced herself she has it i can't even tell)#she had spent all her time on tiktok and i know for 100% sure that's where she got the idea. it's TRAGIC how fast things went downhill#i'm legit horrified at how many people (esp young kids of 13-14) think they have this too. or are just pretending#i've been neck deep in hardcore research (and i'm talking pubmed sciencedirect etc only) for months#and those kids definitely don't have did.. if they have trauma and are dissociating it's going to be something else like dpdr etc#the number of stupid 'you have did' answers i see for totally basic questions like 'i got dizzy what's wrong w me' is insane too#it's like googling 'muscle twitch' and then thinking you have some rare 1/billion familial cancer thing despite other obvious explanations#but worse.. in these cases the information is being fed to them. they don't have an opportunity to explore other possibilities#and the worst part is they don't even know to CHECK THE VALIDITY OF WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE SAYING. they don't have info literacy#like i'll say this once: did is so rare that it's STILL contentious about whether it even exists#and it only happens in the most unimaginably traumatic experiences. think of the worst possible things you could do to a child#where even just thinking about it makes you uncomfortable. THAT'S the kind of trauma that leads to did. the truly evil stuff.#i'm not even gonna start on the BITE model shenanigans that are happening in the 'did' communities either#or how the people who used to be in them (and got out) always equate them to self-harming cults that celebrated not finding real answers#they got told they were 'perfect the way they were' despite having OBVIOUS psychological issues they needed help for#(it just wasn't did)#they were assured their 'did was valid no matter what'. toxic positivity ig? it just delayed their real diagnosis and ability to get help#but now you have gluts of people like in the video 'talking to themselves' and people on tumblr posting one-liners of 'alters' talking#one after the other within seconds. and i want to fcking cry because it's the same exact shit my friend did before she cut ties#the did/tourettes/ftlb stuff has literally been called a 'mass sociogenic illness' in multiple academic studies#but like qanon believers they seem to immediately discredit anyone who mentions this with 'you're just ableist' so anything you say is poo#aka you're part of the problem you're an 'ableist' so your legit info even though legit isn't valid/acceptable/real/whatever. i'm tired fam#did#dissociative identity disorder#osdd#ddnos#munchausen syndrome#mass psychogenic illness#ableism

Ugh, sometimes I look into Miles' comment sections and feel so bad for him.
I don't think I need the disclaimer if you know my blog - but just in case. Yes, I love TLSP. As a band - they're in my very top of favorites (next to a bunch of dead people bands). As people - I'm fascinated by them both apart and together.
But I can't bear seeing the amount of people who ignore Miles himself and his solo stuff to just shout "GIVE US TLSP3" / "DO THIS SONG WITH ALEX" at him. Lord, get a grip people. If you love the band so much - be nice and considerate to one of its actual frontmen.
He's talented in his own right. Very. We need more respect and appreciation for that.

it's such a testament to how phenomenal an actor nico parker is that i've been. almost genuinely grieving sarah all week??? when i KNEW she would die?? that never EVER happens with media but the way she was portrayed just made her so real and relatable. her remarks with her family and the neighbors, making breakfast, knowing where jakarta is, doing her homework, getting her dad birthday gifts, riding the bus into town, touching the sprinklers and looking up at the sunset, not liking raisin cookies, going to check on the adlers knowing she shouldn't, the way she looks at the horror around her, the way her and joel look at each other like the other is everything because to them they ARE, even down to the details of her room and the doodles on her jeans. we feel so deeply how young and ALIVE she is- how important she is to joel and tommy. to see her ripped away from life so violently, to see her ripped away from her FAMILY, was so beyond gutting that i've just been genuinely sad and thinking about what was and what could've been all damn week

sometimes i really do want to study the flavor of intense misogyny from older folks, especially when it comes from older women, that assumes all women and girls are sluts and deviants because (checks notes) fashion trends, which the individual consumer has no control over, means that most people’s only options, especially in summer, are to wear somewhat revealing clothing. because it’s hot.
#how have you gotten to this age and gone clothes shopping and not realized the landscape#like i first became aware of this problem at age 12#i didn’t want to wear short shorts and honestly COULDNT bc of school dress code. but it was hard to find another option#enter those plaid bermuda shorts#and i can only imagine it’s 100x worse now in an instagram tiktok age than it was when i was that age#bc god knows I was embarrassed to wear those. felt like they were actively trying to be as ugly as possible#but for swim suits it’s a whole other can of worms#i currently do not own one bc i don’t want to get a wedgie every 30 seconds#two piece bottoms are all advertised as Cheeky. and i already know i have more ass than expected for my waist size#and the other option is. board shorts#but you’re going to blame the 14 year old for wanting to go to the pool??#‘and then they wonder why guys keep staring at them. where are their mothers i can’t believe they’re allowed out like that’#be so for real right now. they’re kids. they should be allowed to have fun and go outside without being creeped on#i always try to meet them halfway with ‘yeah it sucks that there’s not a lot of modest styles of clothes available’ and they’re just like#‘well EYE spent $100 at a specialty online store’ but these kids are going to forever 21 with cash from babysitting or whatever. try again#your single solution does not apply to everyone#like a LOT of it feels like projection. ‘i acted out as a teen so my daughter will do the same’#just not a lot of self awareness. combined with internalized sexism they’re not willing to question#sometimes when my coworker goes on one of her rants about how she’s glad she never had daughters bc of the Way Teenaged Girls Are#i want to be like. i wasn’t like that. your granddaughter isn’t like that.#i genuinely want to study these people. how did you get to this point

I would love to transition I think? into a man but the idea of learning new social rules and the violence from other men terrifies me so much that I think I'd rather just stay looking like a "weird" girlthing

i was really hoping to see beomgyu in the credits for writing and/or producing at least one of the tracks so i'm feeling kinda upset that literally everyone else worked on at least 2 songs while he got nothing bc that probably means they all wrote stuff and he was the only one whose lines didn't get approved :(
