So ive decided time travle works best as a 3 point 3d graph. Also called: 3-D surface plot. A three-dimensional Stream Graph is the graph of a function f(x, y) of two variables, or the graph of a relationship g(x, y, z) among three variables. These variables are the following: direction (positive or negative determine if you go into the past or future) time (how many years you go in either direction) and distance (where you end up in relation to where you started)

because distace and time are the same thing in different perspectives! Which means space and time are interconnected! So x axis is if you go forward or back in time. Y axis is how far you go. And Z axis is where you go! So X 15 Y 25 Z 12 would be essentially time travel cordinents! 15 is positive so going into the future, 25 is the number of years, 15 of whatever your prefered measurement would be from point 0,0,0 aka where you start!

Since earth is constantly moving, both in its rotation around the sun and hurtling through the endless void that is space, you need Z to determine where on earth you end up. Because just going 25 years in the future would result in you ending up in empty-ish space. So first you need to figure out where the location you want to end up would be in the future, THEN travel there as you move forward or backwards in time.

Most likely time travel would be very hard to make exact to im operating off the idea of a curve. So if you set the X to be -7 and Y to be 10 then your line would be curved because there's a difference in distance meaning a difference in time. So depending on your z your could either overshoot or undershoot where your trying to go. If you go to Z=-5 then when you compare it to just X and Y the point looks like a shorter distance

If you wanted to narrow it down then you would have to compare the difference with the X,Y graph and the X,Y,Z graph. Since Z is the extra variable then you would have to find the correlation with a + Z and a -Z, either meaning you overshoot or undershoot. So you would want to take the difference between the points and either add or subtract the difference from the X,Y,Z location and then you would have the point in time you were attempting to reach! You just have to make sure you compensate for that difference if you want to have a reliable result. But even then you probably won't be able to he perfect, which is good because what if you DID end up in the exact same spot, but 25 years later a tree grew there and impaled you?

"He's waking up," said an unfamiliar voice, young and high. Bucky didn't like that. He was supposed to be better than this, good enough to take stock of his surroundings before the people around him knew he was doing so. Regardless, he slowly opened his eyes to find dim lighting and a tall, muscular silhouette.

"Cap?" he groaned, squinting to try and focus. "Steve, is that you?"

The figure shifted closer, revealing a mask with tall ears and a flowing black cape. Bucky's eyes widened, and he tried to back away. That wasn't Steve. That was some kind of demon. He was dead, wasn't he? Why was he being punished with a demon-

"Hey, calm down," chirped the small voice from before. Bucky turned his head slightly and caught sight of a boy, no older than 12 or 13 probably, decked out in bright red and green. "Don't move. You're still pretty hurt."

The words clicked in his head, and Bucky remembered. "That wasn't a dream?" he asked softly. "You're... a bird? Robin?"

"That would be me," the brightly colored child said. "You're safe here - not that we can tell you where here is, but just trust me, you're okay. Don't try to move your arm, it was pretty messed up."

"We had a doctor look at you," the demon - Batman, if Bucky was remembering right - said. "She did what she could, but you will have to rest for a while."

"Where's Cap?" Bucky asked. "He was with me on the plane, but he should've been able to get out. Is he okay?"

The two exchanged looks, and Batman slowly said, "We didn't see any plane. You just appeared out of nowhere, smoke curling off you. We've been investigating, but we haven't found any explanation."

"How long was I out?"

"A few hours. You'll be okay. What's your name?"

"My name?" They were American, right? They definitely sounded American. Most everyone back home knew his name, knew Captain America and Bucky. "Bucky. You know, from the news reels? Captain America's partner? Surely the uniform isn't that damaged...?" He was still wearing it, but there was no look of recognition from Batman or Robin.

"What?"

"Bucky," Robin said cautiously, "what year is it?"

"What? It's... 1942? I think? I've been in the field for a while, I don't know if we've passed the New Year yet."

"1942... Bucky, that was almost seventy years ago."

"...what?"

Hypertoroidal Time Travel Chess

So just in case you though my game nDimensional Time Travel Chess couldnt get any worse, I fixed the bug that was breaking hypertoroids. This specific hypertoroid is a radial extrusion of a regular torus along 4 dimensional space. We start with an offset circle like so

And we start extruding radially. What that means is we just push out the face a little bit rotating around the center each time. Now in real life these would be infinitely small, we we're working with computers and human time so we just choose small enough steps

For step 1 at least. Now we move onto step two. We move the donut back into place of the original circle and repeat the process

Now for the next step things are a little confusing for our 3D human brains no matter what we do, but especially so if we connect the rings like we did last time. So unfortunately we just have to imagine that these are still connected through 4D space, but we'll only show slices where we have enough room to think about them as their own 3D slices

Just like we would be able to imagine traveling along the donut surface between its little rings (red arrow), a 4D creature would be able to easily imagine being able to travel along the donut's themselves (blue arrow) and those two directions are 90 degrees from one another, making them orthogonal and adding an extra-dimension to the surface

The problem with the old bit of pedantry that if you travelled back in time you’d just end up out in space because the Earth would have moved, is that there are no fixed reference points in space.

Things only move relative to something else, so if you had the Earth as the basis for your spacial coordinate system instead of the Sun, you would stay attached to it in non-time dimensions.
