Arkveld is really smart when you think about it design wise.

Ghosts don’t exist in Monster Hunter, so how would they make a ghost flagship (who recall, is titled “The White Wraith”)?

Obviously there’s the design, a wyvern whose wrists look shackled and bound by broken chains, a shaggy white coat of fur and cloaked wings… It’s chains burning with ghostly white flames before turning to a bloody, vengeful red.

Yeah yeah design is awesome… But lore! How does Arkveld lorewise connect to a ghost?

Simple… Arkveld is an ecological ghost.

Its species is dead, it is dead, the world has adapted and reshaped without it. Arkveld’s species is artificially revived, mankind’s machinations bringing something that should be dead back into the world of the living.

Something dead, dragged forcefully back onto the living world.

nerd!megumi, slipping notes into your locker, to get you to notice him, or even just give him the slightest bit of attention!

nerd!megumi, always asking mamaguro to cook up some sweets for you, since obviously he knew that was your favorite thing, sometimes nerd!megumi would even try to make his own, but they would always come out burnt, doesn’t mean he gave up with it.

nerd!megumi, goes to an arcade just to win any plushy he’d think you’d like, even uses all of his tickets if he couldn’t win a plushy from the claw machines.

nerd!megumi, trying to act like he’s not madly in love with you each time you walk past him, when his friends notice they would just tease him all day about it.

nerd!megumi, he can’t go to school without, wearing any type of cologne, just to impress you, it’s not like you would notice anyways.

nerd!megumi, finally finds out you’re all time favorite song, once he found that out he could NOT stop listening to that damn song on repeat, his friends could even hear it from his headphones, kept telling him to stop playing it, over, and over again!!

nerd!megumi, the type to forget what he was writing on his math paper, turning his writing into your name.

nerd!megumi, to afraid to ask for your phone number, even tho he wants it real bad, his bestest friend tries to tell him to ask you, multiple times.

nerd!megumi, you bullied him once and he never forgot that, why? who knows.

nerd!megumi, if he ever got your phone number, he wouldn’t know what to say, so he would speak in random relatable photos.

nerd!megumi, came to your house once for studies, and now forever remembers your room, every poster on the wall, every painting on the wall, every photo around your room with friends, family, pets, etc, some people would say that’s weird, but honestly he did not care about what others thought.

nerd!megumi, reads a book in the library, day dreaming of you, especially taking you to the arcade! just to win some stupid plushy just for you.

nerd!megumi, makes a spotify playlist, with a bunch of cute/love songs, just for you, even names it something cringey.

This is loosely based on handplates but I suppose it can work for most gaster aus x I absolutely adore versions of gaster where him and alphys are friends, especially when they’re equally huge dorks and on a similarly level of silly nerds lmao (I was watching some gamegrumps videos when I was drawing in this so I may have been influenced by their vibe lol)

Something I really think people fail to consider for Post-Game Undertale is how the value of gold fluctuates

Since using G (gold) to make transactions is traditional for the economy of the underground. How would the humans react to the sudden influx of such an expensive and precious metal- what would happen to at the very least- the local economy? It’s already a given that Monsters would be able to adapt and improve the work on certain careers (ex: Grillby being a fire elemental monster can give him an advantage with cooking- due to his first hand knowledge of it.)

But what would that all entail for the humans in the area surrounding Mt. Ebott? There would certainly be a struggle on pricing the new value of gold after they all found out there was an entire underground supply of it. In my personal opinion, I think the most canon bet to it (assuming from the end credits) would be that Monsters are all conveniently rich and treated with confidentiality.

Kind of like

“Hey! If you give us all that gold you gathered and used in the underground, then we’ll trade ya some property and housing arrangements!”

Because Toby fox would absolutely pull some fourth wall breaking jokes with that. And Temmie would somehow make us cry over how majestic it was.

With that logic it’s also funny to imagine a scenario where either Genocide Frisk or Asgore slaying Frisk comes up to the surface ridiculously rich.

Just a random eight year old in a striped shirt waltzing down from a certain death distance and proudly displaying all the weirdly dusty pure gold trophies they got
