how accurate is "Planet of the Bass" to actual 90s eurodance
The obligatory spoken-word bridge by a guy who talks like a horny wolf could have stood to be bass-boosted just a smidge, and the outfits are a little anachronistic (more early 2000s than late 1990s, plus the female vocalist has a visible tanline on her face from her COVID mask), but other than that it's a pretty solid pastiche.

gay episode of evangelion is both conceptually very funny and one of the most thematically fascinating tragedies of our time

This one gave me minor psychic damage because I was a kid in the late 90s so all of this is just...not fresh in my memory but. I remember regardless. I'm so old...

Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 Active Suspension Prototype, 1990. Developed at a time when General Motors had a shareholding in Lotus, the active suspension C4 ZR-1 used hydraulic-controlled dampers and a Delco computer system. It firmed up the suspension in corners using lateral g-meters to counteract body roll while it could also react to bumps in the road instantaneously, providing as smooth ride. In all 25 of the Lotus-engineered prototypes were built and evaluated for production as a limited edition model. General Motors reportedly spent $27 million on the Active Suspension program before scrapping it. The main reason was cost per car which was something between $35,000 and $100,000. Also the technology to make the system work reliably wasn't fully on stream. Many of the prototypes were destroyed when the program was abandoned but several have found their way to the open market.

Warner Bros. Studio Store - Times Square, NYC (1990's)
"To create an exciting retail environment for Warner Bros.' new store on the Great White Way, designers incorporated bright colors, excitement and entertainment that mimics Times Square itself. A dramatic glass window wall soars six stories above the street, providing unbroken views of the shopping floors within. Separate red, blue and green color environments are visible through the building's glass-and-steel facade. Hard-to-miss 3D neon signs featuring popular Looney Tune characters are placed on the wall by the escalator, and vintage neon and accent lighting highlight the "New York New York" shop."
