Teleportation is an example of both literal and geographical time-space compression

I imagine Emperor's body is slowly morphing from flesh to that space matter that ancient caller Moira consists of. The armour is used as a sort of shell to help him stay in a humanoid form consistently

So, if it is impossible to spin an object close to and at the speed of light because the power requirement becomes infinite, what will happen if we remove one of the limiting factors? If we put, let's say, a magnet in a perfect vacuum in zero-g, there will be nothing to stop it except walls in the enclosure. It should still move because of its and others' magnetic fields. After all, we already have Electromagnetic Railguns, and that is just "magnets make things go fast." Now, of course, if this does happen, the most likely thing to happen is that it would make a small gravity well, if one at all, and eventually be stopped by other magnetic fields as simply our wires would not be able to handle the number of pulses needed to make it go faster. But what if we make it spin in a circle. It would put less strain on every magnet, and what if we instead made the small object magnetic mettle and put it in the same environment as the last, but this time in a ring. It might just spin fast enough to make a gravity well (most likely crushing everything around it) and break the fabric of reality that would let faster-than-light travel between two points

Oh! Do you all want to know my crackiest timeline idea. I think the bit at the end of htn when gideon is having cpr is actually near the end of atn after they've resurrected her properly and she's seeing alecto because alecto is actually there

Writing as a medium
Cons: Restricted to silent words, never able to truly communicate the beauty of a landscape, the emotion in an expression, the serene sound of a bird's song, the tone of voice with which a line is spoken
Pros:

I made a map for my story ! Click on the image for better quality
The action takes place in an open star cluster, the name of which can be roughly translated from Isshan to "the One With A Thousand Stars" / "the Eternal Warden" (though the Isshan word for "star" has other meanings, the first version is the most widely used translation (contrary to its name, the cluster "only" has around 700 stars)).
The Warden is around 40 light years in diameter and can be divided in 4 zones : the Core, the Center, the InBetween and the Edge.
The Core is unhabitable and inexplored, due to the lethal radiation levels caused by the high density of stars.
The Center is where most of the population of the cluster lives. It contains the 3 originally inhabited systems : Issha (the Captain is Isshan), Armis (birth place of Etha and Meden) and KseI (uppercase i, not lowercase L) (home of the KseIn, lizard-like people. The Lieutenant is half KseIn). Also in the Center are Noutéra, the planet given to the Humans by the Union, and in the centroid of the Issha-Armis-KseI triangle, the space station housing the government.
The InBetween, less populated than the Center but still under Union protection, is where most of the resources circulating in the Union are extracted. Many systems contain at least one outpost.
The Edge has been abandoned by the Union. It is scarcely populated, with few inhabited systems and fewer resources. Some Isshan outposts, dating back to the Exploration era, are scattered here and there. It is home to pirates, warlords, mercenaries and bounty hunters. The Edges are the hunting grounds of the Imperator.
Most of the One With A Thousand Stars is still unexplored. There are rumours of pirate factions warring in the Center, on the other side of the Core, and plenty of legends to fill the minds of spationauts with dread and wonder.

men will submit a photo where all the important details are contained within one single pixel in the middle of the photo and then get mad at you when you send it back to ask them for a better photo. and then repeat this entire process 2750436093 times over the course of several months. and still get frustrated with you as if youre the one who keeps making the same mistakes and refusing to do your job properly

It's so weird to me when people say Sephiroth is the strongest Final Fantasy villain like bruh... He couldn't even become a god and destroy the world, he just tried. Kefka actually went there, did that, and got the t-shirt. Sephiroth is objectively less powerful than a weird clown. Tch. Poser.

#bad work day#i have been struggling with lightbakes for this one guy's space both today and yesterday#and i'm at a total loss for why they are turning out so SHITTY#there's shadow banding there's light/shadow leaking on sharp edges here's ENORMOUS artifacts on just a handful of specific meshes#i don't get it!#i've tried generating the light maps i've tried doing my own in blender and spacing them SUPER far apart#all to find out it is most likely not the lightmap arrangement bc even when far away from each other they're getting the artifacts#i tried no lighting less lighting more lighting i tried separating every single mesh#i tried high resolution lower resolution high quality compression no compression#i tried adjusting the shadow samples for every light in the scene#(accidentally broke the ambient light array doing that oops but easy fix)#i'm getting a headache from being so frustrated#i want to be able to fix my own problems bc i should be the one handling the light baking but i think I have to pass this off before#i spend any more time on it#i genuinely don't know what to do and i've scoured forums and documentation#i kind of want to see if modeling my own version of them and bringing them in does the trick?????#also dealing with the really frustrating 'scene freeze' bug that only I acquired when we updated to the slightly newer version of engine#almost after every single bake my scene is freezing and i have to force quit out of the application#game development SUCKs#i HATE it i am KICKING MY FEET i am NOT IN LOVE WITH GAME DEV TODAY#i am 5 minutes away from CRYING#my stuff#delete later
