As the title says I have a small Time Warden update for everyone. I haven’t been doing much with any of my IFs lately as it’s been too hot to concentrate. I really do not do well with heat.

Also turned 38 (kill me) on the 12th so I have been taking a whooooole bunch of me time the last few days.

Fatal Revenant: The Final Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, Book 2 by Stephen Donaldson (Books 2023, 17) 📚

Wordy, as I mentioned before. Long. Unnecessarily repetitive.

But I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I’m quite glad, though, I don’t have the other books yet. I feel it’s best to take a break after a story like this. Let it sink in. Prepare yourself, maybe, for the next one.

Anyway, more of the same: The Land is in danger, Linden Avery’s son is in Lord Foul’s clutches, and she’s prepared to do just about anything to save it, and him. But especially him. I expect we’re going to see a situation where she puts the whole Land — the whole of Earth, indeed — in danger, by trying to save Jeremiah.

Maybe she already has.

Oh: people have far too many different names in this. I mean, names by which various people refer to them. In the very last chapter someone refers to ‘The Timewarden’. I was like, ‘That sounds like The Doctor; what the hell is going on?’ But they just meant Thomas Covenant.

So what is Fumiko thoughts and her children about MC size and eye color and build and ther thought process what I mean by that the POV when seeing the massacre the MC did to the soldiers please answer that

Fumiko hustled her kids towards the large silver object, the...escape pod, the Warden had called it. The Warden stood with a slightly relaxed stance that seemed out of place in the situation, at least to Fumiko. The look on the Wardens face seemed to be a combination of curiosity and determination.

Daichi scrambled up the side of the pod and helped his sisters and mother climb the silver monolith and slip inside. Just as her head slipped bellow the edge of the entrance Fumiko saw the Warden raise the strange weapon they carried. The look on their face had shifted to one on blank neutrality, not a hint of emotion showed.

A terrible shrieking sound filled the air, a sinister red light flashed in the air again and again. With each shriek and burst of light a man would scream, the sound shook her to the core and Fumiko pulled her daughters closer as they sobbed and whimpered.

The shrieking suddenly stopped, replaced by the clashing of blades, but the screams, they continued. A tiny gasp of awe drew Fumikos' attention to her son as he clung to the edge of the door, watching whatever massacre was occurring beyond the silver metal walls. “Daichi! Get away from there, come down here.”

“But mother, they are amazing! You should see this” Fumiko stared at her child as he continued to stare at at the battle ouside. Diachi had been fascinated by battle, by war since his father had died. She had tried to temper his obsession with learning to fight, but nothing she did ever seemed to matter. Daichi was constantly getting into fights and being a nuisance to the village. She chastised herself for even thinking such a thing, but it was the truth.

The elders had warned her during their visit earlier that morning that if Daichi continued they would need to take more forceful action. What that action was had been left vague, but she always had a very active imagination. It was this imagination and her innate curiosity that drove her to peak out of the escape pod. What she saw was nothing short of terrifying.

The Warden she had met not so long ago was not there, in their place stood a monster dancing among the living and dead, blood smoking on their glowing blade as it carved through the wielders enemies. Those amazing eyes that held a friendly shimmer mere minutes ago now held nothing, they were blank and that was perhaps even more terrifying .

Fumiko had no idea how she would handle this monster when they finished with their enemy. She couldn't even truely fathom them as they towered over their enemies. But then she noticed something, they allowed those running from them to escape. Finally it was only the Warden and the arrogant Yamaguchi Hiroto remaining, she almost felt sorry for the arrogant leader.

Suddenly Daichi hollered and laughed as he scrambled out of the escape pod. Fumiko was about to stop him but she stopped as she noticed Yamaguchi running into the trees.

Glancing at the Warden she saw the friendly shimmer had returned to those magnificent glowing eyes as they smiled at Diachi. Fumiko helped her daughters out of the pod and turned to see the Warden striding towards her. It was surreal. Seconds ago that face had been blank, not a hint of emotion as the Warden had carved through men like a scythe through wheat. But now here they were, smiling as if nothing had happened.

Fumiko stared up into those eyes and something inside her fluttered. Her heart felt like it was trying to beat it's way out of her chest. But her mind was screaming at her, whoever, whatever this being was, however pleasant their smile, they were a monster. Yet her heart never stopped hammering away and as she saw Daichi looking up at the Warden in awe she had to admit to herself that she was also fascinated by this individual before her.

However, she was still furious that her children had been placed in such danger and as her hands landed on her hips in frustration, she intended on letting this Warden know exactly how she felt.

Time Warden Update

Can’t promise it’s entirely refined, and I have yet to give it a good scrub but I figured that maybe some of you just want an update. Refinement will come later lol.

The next update will be a running battle through the village as the MC trys to protect the townsfolk, find and protect Fumiko and Daichi, and make sure the new enemy does not have a chance to spread beyond the immediate area.

This update will take you right up to the point Sakura has come looking for you for help. I promise the next update will not take so long.

Since some of us are missing Time Warden i decided to send a ask: How would Fumiko react to the mc and the kids preparing a surprise for her on her birthday or something?

Why thank you for asking dear anon. I am doing fine I suppose, just kinda not worrying about anything and keeping to myself. I am still working on my projects in my downtime but I have stopped worrying and stressing over getting stuff out at a consistent rate and working at my own pace. Now on to your Fumiko question. She would be in tears when she fully realized what was happening; they are not all happy tears. Her entire life she has been the one taking care of other people and before now no one has ever thought of her to the point of taking care of her. Having her kids and the MC look after and celebrate her makes her realize that it is the first time anyone has done something like this for her. The MC would be constantly telling her to relax as she instinctively tries to do everything instead of just relaxing and being taken care of.

I did it AGAIN!! FFS!!!!! Status

It’s been a couple months since I last did this, can you guess what time it is? That’s right, new IF time...why am I like this?? Seriously I just want to focus and get at LEAST one out, just one...sigh Not sure I will actually release this one. At least not now, especially since I am writing for me and not worrying about trying to ensure a lot of people can feel repped in the story, and as such it is strictly a female MC and ROs. I’ve titled it Blood Writ, one guess as to what it involves 😏🧛‍♀️🦇 Anyway! On to good news. I will be dropping the next In My Skin update sometime mid-November. It will take you to the morning after the first MCs change and will include some initial RO choices. No ROs will be locked in until after you meet the final one. Regarding Time Warden. I will not give any definitive estimates on the next release, but I am making some changes. I will be removing the charge counter for your weapon and simply setting a repair status. At certain points there will be checks, if your Omni is repaired at that point you’re good to go, if not it will default to melee mod until you can repair it, which is NOT guaranteed at any point. The point for these checks differs based on ranged type with assault cannon being first and pistol last. Some changes with health as well. Removing the counter and adding certain points during the story where it will be possible to die if certain conditions have not been met. Symbiosis is...progressing. I am at a point where I am only writing about a thousand words a week simply because I am trying to get the section perfect. Which is entirely counterproductive.

Finally Witch’s Familiar, we progress! I have reached the point where the MC will meet the Necromancer 💀🦴. I have also made a slight change to her and have made her an old friend of the MC and Trilly. I felt this would be a slightly more interesting bit of background. That’s it for now. Excuse me while I go cry over the cancellation of The Owl House, yes I JUST heard.

Brief update

I just realized I have not given any updates regarding any of my projects in a while! That is incredibly rude of me and no amount of cute kitties can make up for it. So, let’s begin. 1st, I am no longer sick! 😁 However the damn wild fires in BC are sending all their smoke my way and my lungs are killlling me, my poor inhaler has been getting a workout. shudder It was soooo much worse a few days ago when I was sick and suffering from smoke inhalation.

2nd, So Time Warden, I am stuck...again, thank fully its not a coding thing, just a bit of writers block...again. I swear that story gives me more trouble then it’s worth sometimes 👿 3rd, I have added a couple new scenes to the Symbiosis prologue. Nothing major, just a few extra fluff scenes. The biggest one is the option to humiliate Livitz during the party rather than just kicking him out or attempting murder😁 . This involves lots of taunting and minimal use of your powers while you beat him down before handing him to security. 4th, I am playing with a new option at the beginning of In My Skin. These will be the options for customizing the Bestie and the Ex. You can build them from the ground up, or randomize certain aspects such as picking their name and gender but randomizing appearance. Of course, you can simply hit random and it will generate everything for them from their name, gender, and appearance. As well as which supernatural species the Bestie is. I have also been adjusting how the MC reacts to the council and the Trio based on how the MC responds to Rory and Shoshanna before changing. Fair warning the MC’s parents raised them right and they will ALWAYS be polite to Lillain. Of course, part of that is because she is the Alpha of the pack. This will also affect how the MC interacts with the council. So for those MC’s who tell off Rory and Anna and are resentful of being turned and abducted you have been warned, the council does not look kindly on being disrespected 😯. Uh...5th? Memories of Death is still not in actual production as I have the other three to focus on. I have done some mild world building, but actually writing is still far, FAR in the future

Dammit...now I want to write something with a Lich MC😭 ...No if you need to compare the Memories MC to anything it would be closer to a Nagaraja vamp from VTM. The MC is still just a zombie, albeit an incredibly powerful and unique variety of zee.
